interrogator!kaeya who's personality alone could be enough to pin this whole fiasco on him one bad day and simultaneously believe he's an angel on earth the next. somehow, his talents as an interrogation officer is the only thing about him that stays consistent, and perhaps something else...

mob boss!childe that can't stop finding different ways to drive you crazy. from remaining to do things that make the case worse against him to his endless teasing, the fact that he's actually innocent is the most daunting factor of working with him.

delinquent!arataki itto who is clearly innocent of his involvement in diluc's case. what kind of incriminating evidence does an anonymous tip have that made everybody believe he almost assassinated him?

and defendant!diluc, the man of the hour and whose car accident acts as the center that three cases revolve around. why does one have the motive to kill the wealthy wine tycoon, and most importantly, who was responsible?

hr!kuki shinobu who is absolutely done with heizou's fontaine legal firm's antics. she does have the qualifications to work as an attorney rather than at human resources, but she wouldn't want to work with itto more than she already has to—and he doesn't even work there!

attorney!yanfei as one of the few sane people working at fontaine legal firm. though she rarely get's involved in the daily chaos of her workplace, her fiery spirit in the courtroom knows no bounds!

part-time barista!kaveh that was (begrudgingly) ordered by alhaitham to get a job so he could stop pathetically drowning in student loan debt and his latest architectural project. horrible with drinks and customer interactions outside of his usual field, it's safe to say he'd rather be in crippling debt.

hu tao serving as the proprietor of wangsheng funeral parlor and as a partner in crime to itto and heizou, much to everybody's annoyances. queen of "it was getting a little chummy around here," she is a reliable source of information.

Hello there!!

I'm Starrzies, but I also go by Rodimus!! Of these two names I prefer my nicknames (Starrz/Roddy) more than the formality of my full username/chosen name!! I'm 19 and a full time college student! I'm just a silly little guy trying to do his best. I am a hobbyist artist and writer and I love to share what I come with in the hopes that other people will enjoy it as much as I do! I tend to post art related to my own characters, art I've done for other people and - more rarely - fandom related art! I also stream on Twitch!!! I did actually let someone borrow one of them for a decent amount of time but it was returned to me! I don't think I'm ever going to let them go again, they mean too much to me.

Ravage is named after the TF character! :D He was my little gaming buddy back when I was fostering a litter of kittens for my senior project. I ended up keeping him, I got too attached. Now he is best friends with Ember!

Hiraeth was a TOTAL accident. I was supposed to just have her mom but she was pregnant much to our surprise! (Someone was getting rid of her, probably because they knew she was pregnant, and gave her to us without telling us that lol) I was allowed to keep Hiraeth but none of the other cats were allowed :( They all went to loving homes though!

Discord is my main, preferred way of communication!! I always have it open on my second monitor so I tend to respond really quickly on there :) You should totally add me on there! I'm under the same username ;)

Part 2: Little Spider

At nine o'clock the next morning, Rory is sitting in her lab, face turned down looking into a microscope, thinking about a certain blonde woman.

"Gosh, she was beautiful," Rory mumbles to herself.

"Sorry, what was that? Didn't quite catch it," a raspy unfamiliar voice says.

"Oh, jesus!" Rory yells. She turns around, and standing there is the Black Widow. "W-what are you doing here at my place of work, M-miss Black Widow?"

"Hm, you're cute, Arachnid."

"Would you keep your voice down!" Her pitch is an octave higher than usual. "And it's Arachnoid. I resemble a spider. I'm not actually a spider. Oid, not id."

"Oh, okay. So like hemorrhoids," the redhead shrugs. Rory responds with a glare.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be off saving the world or something?"

"Nothing to save it from at the moment. Thought I'd do a little digging to pass the time," she shrugs. "Rory Jade LaCroix. Born September 30, 1996. About 5'8", 150ish pounds. Your parents, James and Diana LaCroix, died in a car accident when you were seventeen, although that was likely a cover story. Your sister Hailey passed later that night in the hospital from her injuries. Three years ago, your girlfriend, Abby Smith, was murdered. You were the prime suspect. The case has since run cold. You have enhanced abilities such as super strength, web production, magnified senses, and even more that aren't yet on file."

Rory is tense and on edge at the mention of her family. Nobody talks about her family. "Alright, okay, I get it-"

"You attended Columbia University with a double major in Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. You also had minors in computer science, forensic science, and psychology. You really took advantage of that full ride they gave you, huh? Good for you, I respect that. Now you work here. Duquesne Scientific Advancements. They pay pretty well, but you're bored here, aren't you? Can't blame you. I've never been one to sit behind a desk, either."

"What's your point, Widow," Rory asks with a clenched jaw. "I already knew you were looking into me."

"Oh, you did? And how did you know that?" she quirks a brow. Rory doesn't let herself be intimidated, instead relaxing her shoulders and falling into a mindset of playful banter.

"Since you clearly know so much about me, why don't you tell me?" she smirks. If the redhead doesn't know about EDNA, she'd rather keep it that way. It could be quite advantageous. The Widow returns the smirk.

"You're quite a character, LaCroix. You could be a useful asset to us."

"And if I don't want to join SHIELD?"

Natasha bristles at the fact that Rory knows the name of the top secret organization, but she doesn't show it. Rory is extremely intelligent. She knows a lot more than she lets on.

"Well, it's your decision, of course. But I'm sure my sister would love to see you around more often."

"Sister? I don't know your sist– oh. You mean the blonde? From the other night?"

"Mhm."

"Huh. Um, well, I'll think about it, Miss Black Widow. For now, I should really get back to work."

"Alright, then. I'll see you soon, LaCroix." The redhead leaves the lab, and Rory lets out a shiver. That was fucking terrifying.

"She certainly didn't jump at the opportunity to join SHIELD," Natasha tells Nick. "But I think she'll come around. She's too smart for the job she has now. Too energetic. She's like a little puppy, it's disgusting. She wants to get out and do more good, I know it. And she's got a major crush on Yelena, so."

"Oh, joy. So you recruited a lovesick puppy?" Director Fury grumbles with a frown.

"Hey, this was your idea," she smirks.

"I suppose it was. What did you tell her?"

"I told her that I know who she is," Natasha shrugs, "And that she'd be useful here."

The Director hums in thought. "Don't lose her, Romanoff. I want this kid on my side."

"EDNA, who's she talking to?" Rory whispers as she watches the redhead move gracefully down the crowded New York streets.

"She is texting a contact saved as 'YB'. The text reads 'I'm being followed'."

"Oh, shit," Rory mutters.

"YB says 'By whom?' The target says 'A knockoff Spiderman'."

"Oh that is so rude," Rory whines.

"Would you like me to implode the cellular device? It will not kill her, but it will do some serious damage."

"No thank you, EDNA. That's very sweet of you, though."

Despite her cover being blown, Rory continues to move from rooftop to rooftop, wondering where the redheaded SHIELD agent will lead her.

The woman enters a worn down apartment building, and Rory watches from a nearby roof. After a few minutes, nothing happens so she moves closer. She uses her advanced hearing to locate the Widow's voice. Once she does, she crouches down on the fire escape, peeking in through the window. She listens intently to the conversation inside.

"How long was she following you?"

"I don't know. I didn't see her for the last few blocks. I think I might've lost her."

"Hm, or you're losing your edge and she's standing right outside that window," the blonde says, pointing to where Rory is currently crouched down out of sight. Every muscle in her body is tense, but relaxes when she realizes that they don't actually know she's there.

"Fuck off, Yelena." The sisters move onto a more mundane conversation as Rory drifts off into her thoughts. Yelena. It's nice to put a name to the face. Holy shit I feel like a stalker right now, she thinks to herself. Clearly they don't think Rory is a threat, she realizes.

She sighs, feeling like she's invading their privacy, even though she's just trying to protect herself. She moves to make her escape, and accidentally knocks over a potted plant that she hadn't seen. Oh shit. With her heart thrumming in her ears, she doesn't hear the footsteps approaching.

"Oh, come on! That was my favorite plant!" the blonde–Yelena–complains.

"Um...oops?" Rory shrugs. "I was actually just leaving, so..."

"Nuh-uh. Come inside. Come. We need to have a talk, little spider."

"Yes, ma'am," Rory deflates.

A/N: a requests that’s gone because my clown friend “accidentally” deleted her account. This is an AU where Haley left Hotch long before they were able to have Jack because I am not messing with that storyline.

Summary: Hotch didn’t think there was anyone more addicted to his work than he was. Y/n was almost dismissive. He wondered why he had fallen for this girl. Will they be able to make things work? Or will work get in the way.

The last thing you expected was a knock at your office minutes before you were going to drive out to the airport for another case.

 “Excuse me, are you Agent Hotchner?”

 “Yes, I’m sorry but I do have to step out soon.”

 “Well, then I’ll make this quick. I’m y/n.  I would like to get some information from some of the people you have managed to catch.”

 You continued grabbing your to go bag. You didn’t want to be rude but everything should be in the reports, “Everything should have been in the—”

 “Yes, the reports I know that. I want to know more about the families. You have troubled home life, abuse, etc. I want to know if you remember any specific details about what they suffered.”

 “I’m sorry what the purpose of this?”

 “Research. I am a forensic psychologist here. And if there is ever an opening at the BAU I want in.”

 You looked her over. She seemed relaxed, she had no issue talking to someone in a position of authority. The BAU would ruin any character she had if she didn’t get herself in trouble first. “Look, Dr. Reid will remember much more detail than I can.”

 “Perfect, may I speak to him?”

 “We have to take off soon but I will tell him to contact you when we get back.” You were at the door, opening it to suggest your time was up for now, but to also be polite.

 “Well, I appreciate the help. Good luck catching the bad guys.” She handed you a card to give to Reid and pranced off. Any job in the Bureau was enough to break whoever it was that had come into it. You should know you’ve seen it everywhere. It broke families apart, yours included. You took the car ride over to the airport to regroup your thoughts. Focus on the unsub you had to find. To be honest you thought that would be the last you saw of her. It wasn’t often you were wrong.

 It had been a few weeks when she came up in conversation. “Hey Hotch did y/n ever ask you about your cases.”

 “Yes, I told her to talk to you. Your memory should have been more valuable to her.”

 “She asked a lot of questions.”

 “Yes. Not very surprising I suppose. She did mention something about research.”

 “Yeah its fascinating did you know that a lot of the serial killers seem to have some kind of accident or surgery as a child. Usually a form of head trauma actually, she’s been looking into the exact kind and placement to see if there a correlation.” You chuckled at Reids rants, when you were busy there was often little time for them.

 “It does seem interesting.”

 “You should go see her, she has more questions about unsubs we’ve managed to catch. I think that is more of a you thing?”

 “Sure. I’ll go talk to her if we don’t have anything come up.” Another team was sent out this morning and yours reviewed cases for the following days. During lunch you asked Reid where you could find her, before going to ask her if she need any more help. You took notice of your heart rate increasing with every knock placed on her door.

 “Come in.” You walked in cautiously. Her office while tidy, had papers and diagrams up everywhere. She was sitting on the floor pouring over textbooks“Agent Hotchner? This is a surprise. How can I help you?”

 “Reid actually told me you could use my help.”

 “Oh, that would be great!” She sprung up and shook your hand, “As I’m sure you know my job is to try and figure out why people or I guess serial killers do what they do. Like you though, I need more information. I want to know if there any biological difference between serials killers and regular people.”

 While it was a fascinating aspect to her job, you were unsure where you fit in all of this, “I’m confused… how can I help?”

 “You, Agent Hotchner. Have the connections I need. I don’t know how nervous I’d be but you’ve dealt with a lot of criminals I’m hoping you can take me with you and convince them to let me get some scans of their brain. I want to see what activity levels rise when they think of committing another crime. But I can’t do it if they are unwilling to participate. You know how to get under their skin, get the answers you want to hear. I could even go on a case with you guys, maybe it would be easier to convince them then—”

 She went on for some time. You could see why Reid spoke so highly of her work. She rambled more than Reid did. You agreed to help her when you had the time. You didn’t realize you held off on leaving until she noticed the time.

 “Oh my gosh its already lunch, sorry I must have been talking your ear off. Do you want to get something to eat really quick?”

 “I’m fine I have my lunch in the office. So I’ll check in once I have more time to go and talk to some of those people you need.” Y/n smiled as she went back to studying the mountains of paperwork beside her. You came back a few days later to see who she was studying and what their crimes were. It would hopefully give you a better idea who to try and convince to have an interview. You found yourself coming back every available lunch just to get a break from work. Or moreso trying to. You were gone so often it was hard to find the time, and similarly she had plenty of classes to teach and research being done on her part. It had been almost a month before the two of you ran into eachother again. She didn’t even acknowledge you as she stepped into the building, nose deep into a folder of a case.

 “Y/n.”

 “Oh, hi Agent Hotchner. How are you doing?”

 Your own name had never irritated you more. Even more irritating was that you couldn’t profile her. Other than she seemed to be obsessed with work. And that could mean anything. Everyone you worked with had little to no time outside of the office. She however wasn’t with you during any missions or trying to find unsubs. You had no idea how her mind worked.

“I’m all right how are you doing?”

The two of you stepped in the elevator, both there entirely too early to start the day “I’m great, you guys traveling anywhere today?”

“Won’t know for sure until I get there.”

“Ah, right.” She seemed to be eager to get back to reading.

“Interesting file?”

“Yeah, it’s about Jeffrey Charles. You weren’t on that case right?”

“No I only know what the Gideon told me. Are you seeing if he fits into the theory you’ve been working on?”

“Not really, but with underage serial killers the motivation is different. Adults are seeking to satisfy themselves or get some kind of power trip. For children it seems to the prefrontal cortex which is already underdeveloped has to be highly effected in some way. Regardless part of my job is to see if we can find a cause or it’s more genetic so I like to compare age groups as well.”

The elevator stopped on her floor, “if I end up sticking around I can go over some more of thise around lunch, maybe?”

“I wish but I’ve got a lecture at 12:30 so I’ll be gone by 11. Thank you though.” She started stepping out,

“Have a good day!” “Maybe another time.”

She had waved you off as the two of you spoke simultaneously. You wondered why you couldn’t really profile her, or more interestingly why you wanted to so badly. You almost wished you would have been traveling somewhere now knowing you wouldn’t have a chance seeing y/n today. When you saw your phone ring a few minutes before 11 you tried with little success to not get your hopes up.

“Agent Hotcher.”

The second you heard the click of the phone, you felt an overwhelming urge to apologize. You were certainly beginning to overstep. You had avoided trying to start anything after Haley. It was too difficult with the lack of attention you could give. It was hard to understand just how much time was taken up having your job. Still, you didn’t want another job. If you ever allowed yourself to enter a serious relationship they would have to understand from the beginning. It wouldn’t be easy.

Once again it was weeks before you saw her again. Either you or her always happened to be busy. Surprisingly she was usually the one unavailable. You couldn’t imagine how Haley would have felt had they lasted through the job change to the BAU. You were leaving the building, when you finally saw her trying to go back in.

“Y/n.” You nodded to her, catching the box and subsequently her as she tripped as she was walking.

“Hey Hotch! Sorry about that. Love to talk but I have to drop off all this junk so I don’t leave anything at home.”

You half shrugged, “Would you like some help?”

“Oh that would be great thanks.”

You took the box from her hands as she grabbed some folders on top of them. You were to help her catch her breath, “You’ve been busy.”

“Always. You? Not too stressful I hope.”

“Not too bad actually.”

“Oh good, Penelope was saying you guys are due for a vacation.”

“Garcia?”

“Yeah we talk all the time. She’s a gem.”

“Yes we’re very lucky to have her. Ho-how did you two meet?”

Y/n shrugged, “I don’t know, just happened I guess.”

It was the first time you had caught her holding something back. You continued trying to make small talk until you reached her office. As chaotic and frazzled as she seemed everything seemed to be in place.

“You’re trying to profile me?”

“Hm? no.”

She couldn’t help laugh at your blatant lie, “it’s okay. It’s probably habit.”

She brought a smile to your face that seemed to so rarely make an appearance anymore, “I guess so.”

You continue to make small talk about work until you re-enter the elevator. You stand slightly behind her, unknowingly glancing at her until she turned around making eye contact with you. You both immediately looked away, both deciding to stare at the floor. You both tried to steal another glance at eachother at the same time. Effectively making you both begin laughing as you hit the ground floor, melting the tension in the air.

“No case files to look over tonight?” She asked when the two of you got quiet again

You were about to answer but you hesitated. You were quite frankly, done with pleasantries, “To be honest the last thing I want to do on a Friday is think about work.”

“We have pretty much talked that subject into the ground.”

“Agreed, any plans for the weekend?”

“The only thing I have planned is that im definitely going to get some food, I am starving.”

“Have you tried the Chinese place thats nearby?”

“Yes I love it and they’re open late too!

You felt you throat get tight. You tried to clear it before speaking. Remaining calm under pressure had never been so difficult, “im starving.”

The two of you ate and stayed until they closed talking about your pasts until the conversation led back around to work. You stalled every second, not wanting your time together to come to an end. You decided to stop pushing whatever it was  you were feeling aside, hesitation? Embarrassment? Fear?

“We should do this again sometime?”

“Eat? Yeah I agree, its an important life function.” She sensed something off, “I enjoyed tonight. We should definitely do this again.

You weren’t sure what you had been feeling before but what you felt now could only be described on one word. Hope.

I have long wanted to share with you one of my fan characters.

This is Furan Shisoka, Sonoko's grandmother. She is a forensic scientist in the field of DNA testing. She raised Sonoko after the death of her mother, although she worked abroad. After Furan returned to Japan, she got a job in Buraza because she wanted to be close to her granddaughter.

Quite a rude, but fair person. Likes to drink, smoke, argue with everyone and sleep. She is terrified of cars (her daughter died in a car accident) and for the safety of her granddaughter. Furan treats the Journalist well, although she believes that he “likes to stick his nose into things that aren’t his own.”

Furan does not like to talk about her work abroad, and gets nervous when someone persistently asks her about it. Usually she simply changes the topic of conversation or forces the interlocutor to end the dialogue with her.

today i learned that in 2013 in new zealand some poor guy was just driving around with his girlfriend when he was suddenly decapitated... and no one knows what hit him.

just as they passed an oncoming vehicle, his girlfriend said she saw an object fly through their windshield, kill her boyfriend, then exit through the back of the car. no one was ever able to actually find the object, or the other car/driver (they stopped after the accident, so they knew something happened, but then drove away from the scene) and forensic examination was never able to determine what it was based on the damage it did. the girlfriend described the object as beige and tissue box or brick-sized, and the evidence suggested it might have been or contained stainless steel, had a rough sandpapery texture, and probably had dirt on it (as it left behind a bunch of minerals common to the soil on the south island).

his name was rutger hale if you want to know more but there doesn't really seem to be a lot to know. it was almost certainly a horrible, tragic accident, and unless the other driver is identified we'll likely never know what the object was. there isn't a point to this post really i just found the story interesting

#i guess if you live in/near wanaka you might be able to wander around the edge of a highway and incidentally solve a decade-old mystery #i'm guessing if teams of professionals on multiple excursions weren't able to find it some random guy wouldn't be able to #but stranger things have happened and i'm not prone to inherently trusting the competency of law enforcement

When Ruth got hit by a car, the forensic and medical team were having a difficult time figuring out what happened to her, because most of them don’t know what a car even is and how much damage one can do. None of them had any idea, not even Thatcher. He knew she had gotten hit or attacked on the road, but didn’t know that it was the work of a car because he had never heard of any sort of injuries happening from being hit by a car. He knew what happened to roadkill, but Ruth is so tall, much larger than the small animals that usually lay dead beside the road. He didn’t know that cars could still do damage to much bigger animals.

They thought a bear attacked her at first. It was the only reasonable explanation at the time until Verity went and observed cars driving by, and Ruth’s injuries, and concluded she must’ve been hit by one of these large metal machines.

What they didn’t know was who was driving the car. They didn’t know that this death was the catalyst of many, and her death wasn’t an accident, it was planned.
