Merovingian Kings & Queens
The Merovingians were the ruling family of the Franks from roughly 481 CE, when Clovis I rose to power, until 751, when the last Merovingian king was overthrown and supplanted by the Carolingian Dynasty. They established the largest, most dominant realm in Western Europe following the fall of the Western Roman Empire, and are often considered the founders of France.

It's a Lithuanian hot-smoked sausage from a company called Samsonas, sold by one of our local groceries. ...We've also got franks from Herta. They're nice too, though a little lighter-flavored. I prefer the smoky ones. :)

...Most of the big grocery chains here do own-brand franks: and local butchers often make their own as well. Irish pork is super, and the local franks are really tasty. :)
