GOD DAMN I wish I've read chapter 144 earlier
I don't know we're to even start.
Jellal is not his name!!
It's Siegran, but Siegran is the man who got strong and well educated and entered the magic consul. JELLAL IS A POOR BOY WHO GOT CAPTURED THIS MAN NEEDS THERAPY AND LOTS OF HUGS
Also, he is such a mama boy, I'm so devastated by his past.
But the best part is
JELLAL IS THE MAN WHO WANTS TO BE IN FAIRY TAIL, HE IS THE MAN WHO WANTS TO BE PART OF ERZA'S FAMILY
I love this chapter

100YQ for once not giving me a chapter full of Ls. I need a moment….Jellal finally got the importance he deserves. I’m emotional I’m sorry 😭
Tumblr media
Also I’m shocked how this chapter semi aligns with my dark and twisted HCs- Did not expect this at all from the newest chapter at all.

FT 100YQ chapter 144 was the best one we've had in a while!
We actually got a main character's backstory. IN THE SEQUEL. This gives me hope for more characters to have their origins revealed 😭
I would go into detail but 1. I'm lazy 2. The chapter isn't on the website I use yet so finding the images would be a biotch
But holy heck I loved this chapter and I WILL be making an additional blog.

The Sunnydale Herald Newsletter, Saturday, June 18th
ANDREW: Spike? SPIKE: Oh, for the love of- ANDREW: Spike? (he runs toward Spike, hugs him tearfully) ANDREW: (emotional) It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding onto false hope, but... I knew you'd come back. You're like... you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Ohh... he's alive, Frodo. He's alive.

Thoughts on BnHA 144
Kirishima Eijiro’s past...A lot of us in the fandom (including myself) really thought he had a dark past related to a villain or being a delinquent. BUT HORIKOSHI-SENSEI PROVED US WRONG! ; v ; See the boy’s innocence for yourself..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THERE’S MY BOOOOYY <3333
He was just a boy/man who strongly believed in manliness, courage and justice, and looked up to Crimson Riot a lot ; v ; I feel like hugging him
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How to deal with bullies ft. Ashido Mina - Breakdance with them
I’m still laughing about this lolol This is unrelated but this part really gave me the Gintama vibes..or maybe it’s just me missing the lightheartedness of Gintama (it’s been way too long). Pls don’t mind me..
ANYWAY
Kirishima really seems to have had a negative attitude towards his own Quirk ever since then, which may have influenced his low self esteem. He’s comparing himself with Ashido and others with more flashier quirks.
It’s probably not that he wants to stand out but he wants to be able to do things more confidently and courageously, like a real hero. The way he was back then, he thought he doesn’t have the capability for that because of his quirk and the level it was at back then.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also I feel that the way that others around him, for example those 2 bullies, view his quirk also may have affected him and his attitude towards his quirk, and thus his self-esteem. Typically offensive quirks were considered more tough and stronger, and since Kirishima’s is more on the defensive side for the most part (at least back then before he got stronger the way he is now), it wasn’t viewed as something to consider being scared of or hold high.
Tumblr media
And so because of his negative thoughts about his quirk, Kirishima decided to compensate for his Quirk’s loopholes with his manly spirit!! As inspired by Crimson Riot’s words. You’re not entirely wrong though my boy ; v ; You’ve really come a long way.
Tumblr media
Not only was fear holding him back from rescuing those girls but his negative attitude > low self esteem was possibly another cause and catalyst in further lowering his spirits.
Tumblr media
It’s like a cycle now.
Tumblr media
(Ayyy that one panel there that misled a bunch of us orz(
Tumblr media
BUT WE STILL LOVE YOUUUUU
Tumblr media
I think Kirishima and Tamaki are somewhat relatable to each other in terms of their self esteem and mentalities. Perhaps that’s why they clicked off pretty well..
I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds!!
P.S
Tumblr media
AND SERIOUSLY CAN SHE BE ANY CUTER????????
Giving the wrong info to get away from a villain lolol what a strategy.

My Favorite Album #223 - Sarah Lewitinn (Ultragrrrl) on Interpol 'Our Love to Admire' and why they should have been 'the' band of the 2000s
Tumblr media
Sarah Lewitinn's career has taken from writer to manager to DJ, self-described 'queen of beneficient debauchery' and the once and future 'Ultragrrl'.
In a personal and emotionally honest conversation, Sarah makes the case for Interpol's 'Our Love to Admire' as the band's best album and the deep, slow-burning relationship she has had with it. We talk about the efforts she's made to keep her personal distance from the members of Interpol, the legend and reality of Carlos D, and how the album feels like the closing chapter on an era of her New York life.
If you haven't yet, I recommend reading Lizzy Goodman's amazing oral history of the 2000s NYC rock scene 'Meet Me in the Bathroom', in which Sarah features, and listening to my recent podcast with Lizzy.
