The Secret Life Of Lena Luthor
Supergirl. Lena Luthor x Reader!
Word Count: 2785.
Lena Luthor has a secret. Probably many of them, but there’s only one that bugs you so much.
Who are those friends of her? Why are they so tight that you feel like they are in some sort of cult? Why does it look like she would die for them? And how come they are always more important than you?
You see, the last one's been bothering you for a while now.
Some time last year.
The world is saved. Again. For the third time this month. And while Lena sits to celebrate with her friends/ teammates she is content. A kind of feeling she hasn’t experienced much before, but that’s been constant ever since the big fight. Ever since Lex is gone gone.
She looks at J’onn and M’gann reminiscing about something from their planet. Looks at Alex and Kelly swooning over something cute she is sure Esmé just did. Nia looks at Brainy as if he is the most interesting being and all of existence. All of them have somebody. Well, she looks at Kara alone. But Kara is never truly alone. She has Supergirl. All these people around her and the people she met in different universes.
But Lena? Outside of this room she barely has anyone. Sam, Ruby, Jess. She scrambles to find more names.
So Lena looks around, more certain than she’s ever been before. She needs someone. Someone outside this group of friends, so she can get back some sort of normality she most certainly lost since she discovered her witchy ancestry and joined the super friends for real.
And then Lena finds you.
You run through the door of the Lena Luthor Foundation, and since she wants to be more hands on with everything, Lena is right there to see it.
“Do you, um, take strays?”
“Strays, ma’am?” The receptionist asks, raising one perfect eyebrow at you. “You mean like, cats?”
“What? No! I mean me.” You smile widely. “I mean, do you take walk-ins? Like, can I just walk in and find myself a station and start working?”
“Oh. Ah.” She looks around for help. Unsure of what to tell you. And because Lena herself is around, she jumps in to help.
“Hi.” Lena shows you her hand. “Lena Luthor. How can I help you,” she looks at both of your hands. No ring. “Miss?”
“Y/N.” You introduce yourself, shaking her hand.
“You want to work on something?”
“Well, you see, I have this idea. It’s really bugging me and keeping me awake at night.” You point at your own face. “I’m sure you can tell. But I don’t have everything I need to work on it. It says online it’s what this foundation is for.”
“Well, we don’t work on everything. Our resources are vast but still limited. There’s a board. If you want to present your idea.” Lena suggests and you shake your head agreeing, then just like that you’re running out of there as fast as you came in. She looks back at the receptionist with a smile. “Strange little cat, that one.”
You don’t give her time to move on from you at all, when you run back in. A prototype in hand, and several loose papers on the other.
“Ok, I’m ready.” You smile at her and she furrows her brows.
“Oh, I didn’t mean right now.”
“Please, ma’am. I need to sleep.” And to demonstrate, only one of your eyes blink. She seems to take pity on you.
“Well then, come in. Let’s see what I can do for you. And please, call me Lena.”
And what she can do for you, is help you with every little thing you need help with. And what you can do for her, is help her see there’s more to life than work and a few friends.
Present days.
“You’re running off.” You mumble. Eyes still shut, voice thick with sleep.
“Emergency. Sorry, my love.” You hear shuffling so you know she is getting ready to run off to her super secret, super important duties.
“What is it this time?” You finally open your eyes and watch her putting her clothes back on. “Kara got stuck on a tree and you have to go get her down?”
“Oh no, my pretty stray cat. I only climb trees to save your pretty butt.” She jokes, coming closer to kiss your lips.
“Lena.” You beg when she moves away from you. “Please stay. Please wake up with me. Please let me make you eggs and a strong coffee.”
“That would be lovely.” You open your mouth to repeat, stay. But she knows it’s coming, so she speaks before you. “Can’t today. Rain check?”
You press your lips together, annoyed at her way to deal with this. But she doesn’t notice, because she’s already running out the door one shoe on, the other one still in hand.
“Have a great day, Lena.”
You don’t want to be jealous of Kara. You’re not even the jealous type. But this whole ‘my friends call and I run out the door’ is not working anymore. Not that it ever did. But recently this has been bugging you extra hard.
And when things bug you this much, you can’t simply forget that easily. You can't even sleep on it.
"Heeey," Lena grabs the bags from your hands, giving you a quick kiss on your way inside. "glad you came, I felt bad leaving you this morning."
"Yeah." You place the rest of the bags on top of the counter. "Maybe we should talk about that."
"Definitely. But after a nice dinner, maybe?" She gives you a little smile, and you're quick to accept.
The talk doesn't come right after dinner, when Lena climbs on your lap and you two start a heavy make out session, you decide it is better to wait a little.
"Shit. Fuck." Lena says out of breath, parting your lips. You look down at your hands still on her waist.
"What? Already?"
"No, not that." Lena laughs, and you notice something vibrating in her pants.
"Oh," You raise your eyebrows playfully. "Someone's packing."
Lena takes her phone out of her pocket, and you roll your eyes at it. She reads the name, and starts apologizing right away. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." She gets up looking at the phone.
"Are you serious?" You ask, but she is already answering her phone after mouthing one more 'sorry'.
"Kara, I'm in the middle of something really important. This better be a 10 or higher." She paces around the room and you watch her from your place on the couch. "Shit, ok. Ask Supergirl to come pick me up. Yeah, ok. See you soon."
Lena looks at you with pleading eyes, and you look up trying to hold the tears and the anger inside you. "Darling, I'm really sorry, but it's an –"
"Emergency." You complete her sentence and her face drops, looking at you.
"I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry. I know I did the exact same thing this morning…"
"This morning? Lena! You've been running off every time Kara called you ever since I've met you! I don't get it. What's up with all these emergencies? Why is Kara always more important than us?"
Supergirl's feet touch on the balcony and you hear a light tap on the balcony door. She looks embarrassed, like she heard more than she wanted to. She waves lightly and points to the city with her head, so Lena knows it's time to go.
"I promise I'll tell you everything, but I really have to go now."
“If you leave right now, you won’t find me here when you get back.”
“No, please Y/N. Please wait. I’ll tell you everything when I get home, I promise. Please stay, eat dessert, and make yourself at home. I promise I’ll be back soon.”
So you wait. An hour. Two hours. Three hours later and you’ve seen enough of television, eaten enough of her food and got tired of wasting everyone's time. It is clear Lena doesn't take you seriously and that you'll never be her first priority. So you leave.
It's only in the morning when you grab your phone to notice the missing calls and texts from your… girlfriend? Ex? You haven't decided yet. But if you're being honest things aren't looking too hot for her.
Lena has helped you many times before. You have no problem admitting you are where you are right now because of her. If your invention hadn't played out, you wouldn't have found a new job and you wouldn't be working on something you are very passionate about.
But she means more than that to you. With Lena you can talk about anything. You can be your quirky self without any judgements. In fact, you always thought she seemed to appreciate it. Now, you're not so sure.
She's always hiding something. Always running off. One phone call and she is gone. No time to even tell you what she is running towards. You feel like you're dating someone who has a secret life. And you can't help but think you're the secret part.
You're still finding energy to answer her latest text, when you hear the doorbell. You force yourself out of bed, and open the door to see Lena right on the other side.
You furrow your brows, "What are you wearing?"
Lena stares down at her outfit, a large hoodie and sweatpants. "I was fairly uncomfortable in my jeans and so Kara let me borrow something." She looks at the hem of the pants. "She is a lot taller."
"Glad you came to my house wearing some other girl's clothes." You make space for her, because you know she is not leaving and you don't want to have this conversation out in the open.
"It's Kara's." She justifies.
"Yeah, and who's Kara, exactly? Is she just your best friend? Is she your lover? Your dealer? Your boss? Why are you always running out the door when she calls?"
"Those are fair questions. Well, not the dealer and lover part. But I guess I should explain why I always go when she calls.”
You look at your coffee machine. It's too early for this conversation. For the truths you'll inevitably have to listen.
"Coffee?" You ask her, but it's mostly because you need it so badly.
"I'd die for a cup."
You set up the coffee machine while Lena makes her way to the other side of the counter, sitting on one of the high stools to look at you.
"I'm sorry I didn't come back home sooner." Lena starts, and you sigh.
"I stood there like a ghost and I don't even know why."
"I don't want to run off every time, it's just – Sometimes I'm the only one who can help so they call me." You stand there waiting for more, for an explanation. "I told Kara to only call me for real emergencies from now on."
"You know, you said a bunch of stuff, but you still haven't told me what kind of emergencies they need you for."
You're not stupid, it's not like you haven't put two and two together. Supergirl shows up to pick up Lena right after Kara calls for an emergency? Yeah, like they have Supergirl on their speed dial so she can offer Lift services when one of them needs it. It's obvious Lena is a part of a group that helps National City or whatever. It was actually kind of obvious because every time she ran off for an 'emergency', you only had to turn on the news to see something crazy happening in town.
"I'm a part of the Superfriends." She bites her lower lip when you don't show any real reaction. "It's supposed to be a secret."
"Lena, Supergirl showed up at your house yesterday to give you a ride. It wasn't a well-kept secret, anyways."
"Wait, so. You knew?" Lena's voice comes out so shocked it's in a high pitch you have never heard before.
"Had my suspicions, sure." The conversation is briefly put to a stop while you pour coffee for both of you, but even before you have your first sip, Lena speaks.
"I don't understand why you are mad at me then. If you knew all along what I was doing, how could you be mad? How could you think Kara is something other than my friend?"
"Well, first of all, I had my suspicions, but not convictions because you never told me anything so I could've been completely off. And second of all, I didn't know all along. I had to go slowly piecing it together by myself because you wouldn't come out and be honest with me. And third, and most importantly, how can I not be mad when you left me high and dry at your place last night and ran off with Kara again?"
"Nia was hurt! I had to go help out. How could I not have run out?"
"That's not what I'm saying. You don't get it, do you?" She doesn't. She looks at you so damn lost you know for sure she doesn't get it at all. "I'm not telling you shouldn't go help your friends. I'm asking you to just tell me about it. Don't tell me that you have to go because you have an emergency. Tell me Nia is hurt and I will tell you to go help her, I'll offer you my help. I not only won't be upset about you leaving, but I'll admire you even more."
You round the counter, looking at her with doe-eyes.
"I'm tired of this double-life. It's like you're two different people. I – I don't know what to tell you, I just feel like I'm dating a CIA agent who's been lying to me about who she is. And it sucks."
Lena blinks. "I know." Because she didn't even realize what she was doing in the first place, but now that you have laid all on the table for her, it makes more sense than ever. She felt the same thing before and she can't believe she's been doing the same thing. "God, I know how you feel. And I'm sorry I kept you in the dark. You have every reason to be upset. Please forgive me. I promise I will be completely honest from now on."
"That's all I'm asking."
"Well," Lena looks at your coffee mug to see you didn't have much of it. "Why don't you drink some more? I feel like you'd have to be pretty awake for what I have to say next."
"Oh…kay?" You gulp on your coffee and look at her wide-eyed.
"Well, it's complicated. But, more than a year ago, before we met, I set out to find more things about my mother." Lena says and you agree with your head, because she has told you before all of her story and the fact that she lost her mom when she was younger. "It turns out that my mother was a witch."
"Huh?"
She takes a deep breath. "And so am I."
"You're a what, now?"
"You wanted the whole truth." Lena smiles sheepish and you furrow your brows hard at your new discovery. Yep, you didn't see this one coming. Honestly, if she had told you Kara was Supergirl, you would've been a lot less surprised.
"I did, didn't I?" It's a lot to process, but you take one good look at Lena and you know it took everything in her to tell you this, and so, even though you don't truly understand what it means and what she does exactly, you know she needs support right now. "So my girlfriend is a witch and a genius and she is part of the Superfriends, and helps out with saving the world and stuff?"
"I guess you could put it like that." She says, tentatively.
"You're awesome, Lena. I'm happy you told me everything. It helps me understand you a lot better, and it only makes me love you more."
Lena's eyebrows raise and she can't help her surprised face, "You love me?"
"Yeah, I do. I love you."
"I love you too, my little stray cat."
You feel your worries melt away in the kiss and you're happy Lena trusts you enough to tell you about this other part of her life. It also feels good to know her secret and where she runs off to everytime. Plus, how did you get so lucky? She's hot, she's smart, she's a goddamn goddess and she also saves the world? She is more than you could ever dream, and you’re so glad she is yours.

Hi Leigh, hope you are doing well!
Maybe you have answered this question before: how would you have written the Supergirl reveal to Lena?
You still have the elements of it being so late in series and that Lena actually already knows.
I wonder how a good writer would approach this because in the show it was an actual train wreck- Lena wanting to expose Supergirl’s identity at the Pulitzer party before Kara actually said it?! So out of character. And all that stuff after? So stupid.
Anyway thanks for answering this question :)
Hi! Hangin' in there, thank you. 🤗
Well, it depends on what point the launch off was.
Let's say she learns via Lex, just like in the show (rather than rewrite the whole damn series in this post, haha).
Just thinking on the fly, here goes... I woulda just had her reeling, feeling betrayed, and isolating rather than putting on a front.
Kara doesn't understand what's happening, but wonders if maybe Lena is secretly angry with her for killing Lex (remember, Kara believed she took him down in that final fight at the end of S4). This is hammered in further after Alex plants the seed that, evil or not, Lex was still Lena's brother, and so some level of sadness is likely to still exist there. She advises Kara to give Lena time and space.
Kara, further worried by Lena's worsening isolation and mood, ignores her sister's advice and makes efforts to connect, but increasingly senses the distance and her guilt grows.
Meanwhile Lena -- between finding out the truth that Kara is Supergirl in such a terrible way, while also hiding that she killed Lex (to protect Kara, ironically) truly spirals and starts to think that Kara perhaps never was truly her friend at all, only using her to be able to eventually take down Lex. A means to an end. Feeling like that's all she's ever been to anybody, including her "best friend" who meant the world to her, Lena becomes darker and more cold, sure -- but never takes those ridiculous 'villainous' actions of any kind.
Alex pulls a typical Alex move and starts to suspect that Lena's isolation and darker vibes could mean trouble as "She is a Luthor." and she's worried she'll carry Lex's torch now that he's gone, and her isolation means she's up to something. Kara of course doesn't buy it -- much like in the show, defending Lena, rebelling against the notion.
After ramping the tension throughout Season 5A on these fronts, a dramatic series of events eventually leads Kara to go to Lena and try to have a much needed conversation. Lena thinks she's perhaps finally going to confess, and she allows herself to feel hopeful again -- alas that hope is dashed, when instead Kara simply apologizes for killing Lex (so she thinks she did), and not realizing how much doing so would cause Lena pain. Lena finds this ironic, Kara's concern for her pain, considering she's lied to her all this time and still won't be open with her. Lena then decides that if nothing else, she won't lie.
She tells Kara that Lex died at HER hand, not Kara's.
Kara is shocked. She's pulled away by an emergency before they can discuss this further. And thus, Kara now believes Lena's distance and darkness is driven by guilt over killing her own brother, and Kara now feels more guilty than ever that she went through that, and that she continues to keep Lena in the dark, even though Lena opened up to her. As we approach mid-season, the two have several 'almost' moments where it seems Kara might actually confess her identity. And we make it clear that she wants to. But the more she sees how hurt Lena is about having to kill Lex, to protect her no less, the worse she feels and the more she's terrified to tell Lena her secret, believing that Lena's done so much for her, meanwhile all she's done -- is lie. It wrecks Kara. And her anger issues start to rise up again, and that comes out a lot in Crisis crossover (in which our world's Lex is NOT yet present again btw), which is of increasing concern to everybody.
Post Crisis, in which Lena and Kara work together to save everybody even though they can barely even look at each other, we have these two idiots with their secrets, both struggling tremendously -- Kara with her anger and guilt, and Lena with her sadness and pain. And both with their regrets. And the rest of the group is noticing these tensions, between missions / various genre adventures.
It ramps up, until finally, shit hits the fan in a 100th episode. Lena is held hostage by someone threatening to kill her if Supergirl doesn't reveal her identity (similar to how it was in the show, but without the Mxy stuff, or at least using it better) -- Kara is fully willing to reveal herself to save Lena. She prepares to do just that, and even goes to the press conference, but just before she has to do it, her friends find a way to save Lena without the reveal needing to happen. But Kara is also nearly killed in the battle. The closest she's ever come to dying.
In the aftermath, Lena has now seen how far Kara would go to protect her -- both in terms of being willing to give up her life AND reveal her identity to the world. Lena of course forgives Kara (quietly, to herself) and decides to let Kara have her secret, even if it means they both pretend the other doesn't know, silly as it it. Alas, what she doesn't expect, at the end of the episode --
Kara reveals her identity to Lena (at Kara's place after everyone else goes home). Turns out almost losing her life made her realize she didn't want to die a coward and a liar on this front. And also, Lena not knowing put her at worse risk than knowing. And she deserves to know, so she can protect herself. So Kara can better protect her.
After/during her confession, Lena sheds a tear, and Kara starts to profusely apologize, thinking Lena is devastated by the revelation. But Lena confesses that it's tears of relief, because she's already known. She was just wondering if Kara would ever trust her enough to tell her the truth. Kara is shocked to know Lena knew, grateful she's kept the secret for her, and heartbroken to know she learned it from Lex, before killing him. She also makes it clear she didn't keep it from her because she didn't trust her, it was never about that. It was simply the belief that not telling her protected her somehow. But now she's seen that was foolish, in this case. Realizing now they've both been dumb and their secrets have done nothing but cause each other, and themselves, so much pain -- they agree: no more secrets.
And they hug it out -- because besties! Just gals being pals right?!
*eye roll*
Then the rest of 5B becomes all about Lex popping up alive, and being furious that Lena and Kara are closer than ever, and that his attempt to destroy their relatio- I mean "friendship" failed. And he comes at them harder than ever, with Lillian's help. And so on. And by the end of S5, in an epic battle, Lex is finally stopped and captured once and for all and hauled off to prison, but not before sending Kara to the phantom zone.
Lena is devastated, as she and Kara only recently had all cards on the table and were growing closer than ever, so S6A then becomes all about the super friends trying to find Kara in the Phantom Zone (with a LOT less cheesy stupidity, and a lot more focus on Kara's traumas and torture while in the PZ rather than any dumb filler crap with her dad being alive -- perhaps she sees him, but it's just a cruel illusion).
Meanwhile, Lena, at wits end, visits Lex in prison, hoping to get information out of him as to where and how they can find Kara in the PZ. But he taunts her, plays games with her, etc until finally, she tells him goodbye for good. He doesn't believe she'll be able to stay away forever, especially as long as he knows how to find Kara. But she finally sees through it all, basically tells him he's full of shit, that he has no idea how to reach Kara in the PZ, he's a liar, always has been, and his power over her is gone. She vows to find Kara on her own and to never be anything like him, as he's selfish and cruel and insane. And she finally walks away from him. And he can't believe it.
Now that she's found her inner strength, Lena is able to think more clearly, less out of anger and desperation, and thus she, Alex and the Superfriends eventually embark on an action-packed retrieval of Kara in the Phantom Zone, ultimately saving her in the mid-season finale.
The final half of the final season (6B) focuses on Kara's deep traumas experienced/re-lived in the phantom zone, as she struggles with doing her job as "perfect" Supergirl while mentally screwed up. No one really notices but Lena, because Kara hides it well. Alex is just happy her sister is back, busy planning a wedding, focusing on vigilante work, etc. And the Superfriends have lots of other issues to focus on as well. But Lena sees Kara's struggles because she knows a thing or two about trauma, and she's there for her. Especially after Alex and Kelly get married with a few episodes to go and Kara doesn't want to burden her sister, who is finally so happy.
The final episodes feature Kara facing her demons, internal and external (as villains from past seasons pop up to haunt her, as it turns out the events post Crisis brought them into this universe, and now they've come after her, and they've all got to take them down).
In the end, the show wraps up with Kara finding a level of peace she never had before, having faced the past and all she's gone through and lost, in great part thanks to having Lena by her side.
And the show ends focused on Kara, for an episode called KARA. Not focused on Lex, nor the supporting characters, not on shoe-horned cameos, nor other bs. But Kara herself, and her journey, her healing from a lifetime of loss and trauma, her relationships to her family and friends, and rediscovering that which is always going to rest deep within her soul, even if it gets a little lost sometimes...
Her unbreakable sense of HOPE.
The End.

Domme Lena Luthor x Female Sub Reader
Summary: you had been walking on thin ice from the moment you woke up, the previous night being the reason for the tension between you and Lena. She is strict about respecting her rules, and you definitely decided to break every single one in the last couple of days. Last night you took Lena to her limit, but she handled you coldly, taking you to your room for a sleepless and empty night. You want to push her even more tho, you want a reaction, the type of reaction you would expect from your Mistress.
Warnings: spanking, strap-on, size kink, kneeling, teasing, rough language, insulting.
Words: 2k
Tumblr media
A cold, lonely and sad breakfast, that was what you were welcomed with as soon as you woke up. Looking down at the busy city, you questioned your actions but found nothing wrong… well, there was something wrong. Lena had been giving you the silent treatment since the evening before, ignoring your pity cries during the night.
She was usually more than happy to spare a couple of minutes to text you while she worked, but not today. Looking at your phone, you only found some comfort in your lock screen, a sneaky picture you took of her in one of the fancy restaurants she used to take you to.
A pale post-it note on the fridge reminded you to clean after yourself after having breakfast. But why were you supposed to follow the rules while she could do everything she wanted? That didn’t sound right. “Clean your own kitchen” your reminded her by text.
The tension between you and your Mistress didn’t go unnoticed even while you were going to work: your private driver was more than aware of the dynamic between you and Lena, and he wasn’t shy about asking questions about your relationship status. “We had a small fight yesterday, her fault obviously, I didn’t do nothing wrong” you repeated more to yourself than to him. “She is just being dramatic about it”
“This morning she looked quite guilty and worried to be honest, Miss”. Finally. She was about to give up.
The past month had been so full of work that she apparently forgot the special attention you need once in a while. She’s been coming home so late, just to find you asleep in your bed, holding her pillow as if it was her. There was no doubts she was feeling guilty about that, and you were kind of pushing on that sense of guilt.
You’ve been hitting her with the usual: “You forgot how to be a Mistress? Do I have to show you?” Or “It’s okay, I will fulfill my needs in some other way, I don’t need you”, but nothing seemed to upset her in the way you wanted.
Yesterday almost seemed like the day.
You teased her so much during her meetings, texting her naughty thoughts and naughty pictures, enjoying yourself a little on her couch, right in front of her macbook. Your fingers disappearing inside of you almost tempted her to stop everything and run to you. But that didn’t happen.
At the end of the night, the only thing u got was a fresh bruise on your arm. It took all your strength not to oppose to her while she was pushing you inside the bedroom, stopping all your fantasies with a cold “Go to sleep and don’t you dare do that again”
“Can you please take me to LuthorCorp? I need to talk to Lena” you asked the driver. Your work could wait, you worked for Lena after all.
People were not surprised to see you inside the building, it was like your second house. At the beginning of your relationship, you spent more time in there than you actually spent at your own house. It was a beautiful building, a little too white since you liked colorful walls. Lena’s office was obviously on the highest floor, she could see the entire city from her windows.
The elevator gave you time to breathe and to think about your next moves. You weren’t a brat, never had been one, but lately it seemed like the only way to have some kind of attention. “I hope she isn’t in a bad mood” you prayed to yourself, hoping for some needed contact.
When the elevator doors opened, papers were flying in the air, people were screaming and nothing was in a good mood, not even the heating system apparently. “I told you like seven times! I do not like those plans! Get out of my office!” She dismissed her assistant.
“Hello, Miss” she greeted you with her head bowed.
“Hello” you smiled with compassion at that poor woman.
You entered silently, sitting on one of the armchairs near her desk. You weren’t allowed there and you perfectly knew that, but you also knew that in stressful circumstances, you were welcomed. She was looking down at her screens, arms stretched forward and legs straight. She was wearing her usual work attire: black blouse and black pants, hair pulled back in a tidy bun. You always found yourself staring at her perfection, even if she reminded you yours wasn’t that different from hers.
Her face was so scrunched that her eyebrows seemed to be joined, her nose seemed slightly wrinkled, and even her lower lip couldn’t escape the clutches of her teeth. She wasn’t used to screaming at her employees, but stress could lead her to be a different person, a much meaner one… and you perfectly knew that.
“You should stop with that expression, or you’ll get wrinkles before you turn forty” you whispered loudly enough to be heard. “Too much stress will bring you nothing”
She slowly raised her face enough to send a cold stare in your direction, silently telling you to shut your mouth until it was too late not to face the consequences. “And who are you precisely to tell me what should I and shouldn’t do?”. A cold gust of wind seemed to break down your perfect hair.
At that point you could only do two things: apologize for your behavior and go back to the usual rhythm or keep teasing her until she gave in. The second option seemed like the only one for your needy mind, you couldn’t take another day without feeling her.
You decided to hit her with the one and only sentence she hated the most, the one that gave her a palpable sense of rage and lack of power: “Me? Oh, I’m definitely someone you do not own”
The clicking of her heels on the wooden floor felt like the proof it was working. Wetness started to spread between your legs as soon as you found her standing in front of you, arms crossed and eyebrow raised. She bent a little bit, just to be at your level. “If I do not own you, tell me why I have your naked ass with my handprints on it as my lock screen, tell me while I carry your little collar as a bracelet and please, tell me why I could easily go into your panties and find nothing but your nasty cum, you little useless petty bitch”
You were so desperate that you found yourself strangling a little moan as she stared at you, waiting for your next move. It took you a minute to recover, but your answer wasn’t late to arrive.
“Well, you haven’t touched me or anything in a month, so I guessed you didn’t own me anymore”
You were ready for everything, you have been preparing for a month. In her office there was everything you needed: the paddle, the cane, whips, chains.. everything you would have liked her to use on your body.
“I’m sorry sweetheart” she sighed reaching for the other armchair. “Work has been drowning me into a never ending spiral of nightmares and overthinking. I noticed you were asking for attention, but I couldn’t give it to you yet, not with a full head. Come here…” she patted her lap, a small gesture you were waiting for.
You happily sat on her lap, finally feeling her warmth and smelling her strong powerful perfume. God how much you waited for those simple sensations.
“I’m sorry Lena”
“Lena? A month of zero discipline made you forget I’m not one of your peers?”
“I’m sorry, Mistress”
“That’s better”
She lowered her head until it was on your shoulder, smelling your skin while thinking about what to do next. A part of you knew she had to go back to work, but the other half hoped for different things. She made you stand up to reach her computer, only to close it with a swift movement. “We are going home, I think you relaxed for a little too long… work can wait”
The smile on your face was enough to tell her she made the right choice.
The ride home was the happiest you’ve ever been in a month: soft music playing, her right hand on your inner thigh, the sunlight and the warmth only a happy environment could bring.
You enjoyed her silence, she was getting ready for what was coming next. She needed a couple of minutes to gather her thoughts and her ideas. “We haven’t done something in a while, you want soft or hard? It’s completely your choice, I do not expect you to own me sex or whatever you want to do already, we can start soft…”
“You perfectly know what I want, Mistress”
“Then I do not want to hear a sound coming from your mouth until I say you are allowed. You will do what I order you to do, and do not complain, you are not in a good position already, do not make it worse for yourself”
“Yes Miss”
“You know what sweetie?”
“What?”
“You can start your punishments by cleaning the kitchen, since you had fun this morning”
Of course she read the message.
When she opened the door you followed her orders while she sat comfortably on her couch, crossing her legs and observing you carefully. You loved her eyes on you, she made you feel like the strongest yet weakest person in the world. It didn’t take long to clean what you left that morning, but knowing you could be on her knees already was thrilling you a lot.
“I’m done, Miss” you said reaching her on the couch.
“Kneel”
You fell on your knees, desperately waiting for more, thriving attention for your poor neglected body. You were careful to kneel right in front of her expensive shoes, a beautiful pair of shiny Louboutin.
“You are even more perfect like this”
She pulled your hair so hard you didn’t even have time to realize she was taking you to your bedroom, harshly handling you like the toy she repeated you were. “Just a fucking toy”
She asked you to take off your clothes until you were fully exposed to her sight, right on the bed in front of her. She handcuffed you to the bed headboard, giving you no time to complain or resist… you wouldn’t have done it anyway, you waited too much.
“I counted every single hateful, disrespectful and rude text you’ve sent me in the past days… around eighty five if I remember well. Let’s see… should I give you the same number of… I don’t know… ruined orgasms? Spankings? Slaps?”
“Whatever you think it’s the right choice,Miss”
She turned you around with a swift movement, interlacing your arms almost painfully. You felt the pain before the sound, her hand coming down on your ass time after time, again until you started crying and panting for a break, a break that didn’t come.
Your ass was covered in bright red handprints, giving your skin a nice shade. “It hurts, Miss” you cried.
“Does it?” She replied sarcastically.
Before you knew it, she disappeared in the dark walking closet, coming back with one of your biggest strap on and a tube of lube. “I guess you don’t need that” she laughed helping you on all fours. “Look at you, pathetic”
“I can’t take it”
Well, she didn’t care a bit.
She fucked you mercilessly, reminding you of who was in charge. Every trust was enough to hit you in the right place, making you see stars every time she entered you.
After what it seemed hours long, she finally let you come, giving you what you have been asking for. You fell on the bed, limping body, you felt a cold washcloth being carefully pressed against your back and your neck, softly washing away all the sweat from your hard night.
“Thank you” you whispered while she removed your handcuffs. “For everything”
“I wish you would brat more often sweetie, I had fun” she smiled laying beside you.

Kara Danvers
52% Lena Luthor (Supercorp.) By now, if you know, you know... *I apparently had A LOT of thoughts about the rest of Kara's ships so read under the cut at your own risk*
16% Diana Prince (an inferior ship claimed Superwonder long ago so I don't know what their ship name is.) This works for me in Dark Knights of Steel or primarily in a world where Kara is as old or older than she was on the Supergirl series. They compliment each other very well. Diana is more graceful, whereas Kara is more nerdy. Diana is more knowledgeable about art and history whereas Kara is better with math and science. They both have frustrations with the way humans are on Earth compared to the homes they came from but still believe in them and believe in protecting them. They both have pains associated with them leaving their homes and are fiercely loyal to their new homes and loved ones. They both believe in hope, help and compassion. They're two people who could be immortal and find solace with one another as time goes on. They're also both beautiful and could crush a sequoia between their thighs. If you're not sold on Kara/Diana, please give them a shot and read this...it's so lovely.
12% Sam Arias (Superreign.) For starters, let me address what I believe to be a misconception among Supergirl fans. When Lena stayed with Sam during 3x05 and was seen wearing a National City University sweatshirt, I believe that sweatshirt was Sam's and not Kara's. Lena went to MIT and even though Kara visited Lena at Sam's place, it made more sense to me that Sam provided Lena with one of her sweatshirts than Kara bringing one of Kara's sweatshirts from her own apartment for Lena. Thus the natural conclusion would be that Sam ALSO went to National City University. Do I think this lore implication brought about the sweater was an unintentional byproduct of the production crew having to be conservative with their budget (or maybe just lazy)? Perhaps, but it's what I believe nonetheless. Thus, we could've had Kara and Sam as college classmates, possibly even college girlfriends. I like that idea, especially since Kara and Sam would both go on to have a relationship with Lena, respectively, which would make for that messy, "queer women in a friend group all dating each other/a lot of the same women" rep that was missing from the show. I don't care for it when DC emphasizes Kryptonians having to be with other strong beings as if that hasn't been an issue for Clark and Lois in their many decades together...but if they're gonna do it, why not do it with a "friends to lovers to enemies but only when your evil alter ego takes control of your body?" The CW really rushed the development of their friendship (the way they rushed a lot of things) but the chemistry was there and I think it could've been enhanced later on with them bonding over them both being from Krypton. I think the Reign storyline could've been better and more impactful had Kara dated Sam and was actively trying to save her in a way that the Kara-Rhea-M*n El storyline fell flat. I also really like the two of them together in AU's where Lena is with Alex, it just fits. But most importantly and to put it very simply: they're both very pretty, super strong women that should've boned and maybe leveled a mountain in the process. If you want to give them a chance, admittedly I have some bias in recommending this but I think this is an excellent Kara/Sam fic (warning: contents are spicy), and this short follow up is just neat.
10% Andrea (Superrojas.) Andrea was the perfect amount of snide and bossy towards Kara yet thirsty for her and Supergirl. Kara was the right amount of wanting to believe the best in Andrea even when she challenged and irritated her while also looking at her like she wanted to do unspeakable things to Andrea in her office. It's what I imagine Superc*ts felt about Cat Grant except Andrea was actually hot and they had actual, spicy chemistry. 2% Imra Adreen (Supersaturn.) Listen...I hate the Legion of Superheroes. A few of its members are cool, but I've never liked the Legion as a whole. If DC is going to keep insisting on pairing Kara with one of its members in various media, I'd rather they give Kara a Legionnaire girlfriend. My hatred for M*n El I've made abundantly clear over the years so I'm not going to delve into that again right now. As for Brainy, I have absolutely nothing against the character. However, twice now I've had to watch Kara abandon Clark and the present to go live in the future with a boy she just met and in both instances, it never sat well with me and the episode/movie was terrible overall. More importantly, if we're going to be doing the whole "Kara's cousin falls in love with a family member of a big Superman villain who's nothing like them" trope, Supercorp is far and away the superior option. I love Brainy on the Supergirl show but he and Kara only ever gave off bro vibes on that and he's so much better with Nia than any Brainiac ever was with Kara that I never want to see him paired with anyone else. Back to why I like Imra though. In the comics universe, she's a cool character that I feel isn't used well or enough. I don't think a relationship with Kara would solve all of Imra's underutilization issues but it wouldn't hurt either. I don't have a problem with Kara going to the future; it's her staying there that bothers me. It wouldn't be an endgame but Imra would be one of the better matches for a first relationship for Kara. On the show, she's a cool character, she's very pretty and like most pretty women on the show, she looked at Kara like she wanted to be eaten up by her had good chemistry with Kara. The idea of Kara allowing a telepathic character into her mind during an intimate moment also appeals to me (while some DC media puts an unnecessary, weird amount of emphasis on Kryptonians having to be careful with their sex lives, a telepath being able to reassure Kara's anxieties and tell her "it's okay, you can let go" is a spicy good moment I'd like to read more of. Bonus: M*n El getting Mako-ed in a Korrasami situation (he dates two women who end up dating each other) would've been less than a quarter of what he deserved (no disrespect to Mako.)
2% Kate Kane (Kanvers I believe it's called.) Look...I've never been a fan of Ruby Rose. However, Kara was so freaking gay every time she interacted with Kate. Similar to how Lena should've gotten to bang the hot bartender Peggy in Ireland Newfoundland, Kara should've hooked up with the lesbian superhero she was totally flirting with, whether it was a one night stand during Elseworlds or them seeking a moment of relief among all the grief that was Crisis. If they'd let Kara be bisexual, then maybe she wouldn't have gone the last four seasons of the show without so much as a single kiss. Regardless, I just mentally picture Wallis Day instead of the other actress and it's a fun little ship.
2% Nia Nal (Superdreamer.) This one isn't necessarily about the show, though I do I think they could've been cute on the show IF Nia hadn't started out as Kara's protégé. Mentor-mentee relationships are so not my jam. However, a pairing between two variants of them where they weren't mentor-mentee could've been cool. Their comic book versions both having zipper jackets as part of their outfits also once struck me as an idea for a spicy fic that I'll never write.
2% Sara Lance (Supercanary.) The Danvers/Lance hook up that should've been. 1% Jimmy Olsen (Karolsen.) I do vastly prefer Kara with women but they still deserved better. They weren't my OTP in the first season but they were cute and I had hoped that with more time and development, they would get better the way Barry & Iris did on The Flash. (Important to note: I NEVER shipped Snowbarry (ew), I always liked Iris, I just don't think they had worked out what to do with her and her chemistry with Barry in that first season...it improved so much as time went on.) Unfortunately for Karolsen, that never happened and the show was so much worse for it.
1% Siobahn Smythe (Superbanshee.) Fun for some frenemies with benefits in Season 1 or "they were roommates" in the comics. Honorable mention: Lucy Lane. "Hell, I want to date her" was a biconic moment for Kara but I really liked Kara's other ships more and I prefer Lucy with Alex.
Send me ANY character and I'll tell you who I ship them with!

If you're still accepting prompts #5 for supercorp?? Please.. no pressure.. have a good day!!!
When Kara gets an invitation to Andrea’s latest art gala, her friends all reach an unanimous decision to RSVP “no fucking chance” via every available avenue.
It would have been creative, really, and impressive—that is, if Nia hadn’t gotten banned from the post office as a result. So in the end it was just a nice thought, if a misguided one; really, Kara is used to Andrea’s antics by now. They had broken up two months ago, but Andrea seemed intent on showing off every chance she could that she had moved on. Kara has never accused her of doing it to be cruel, but she has to admit, sometimes she fantasizes about showing up to one of Andrea’s events with someone else to show she has moved on as well. Just, you know, to even the score. (If they were keeping score).
But she shows up dateless all the same, and everyone is still aghast she showed up at all, but Kara has always been a firm believer of taking the high road even if Andrea won’t. And Alex tags along, if only to glower at Andrea any chance she gets, until she gets distracted by a pretty girl at the bar and Kara ends up alone just as she anticipated.
Well, she consoles herself, at least the buffet is always here to keep her company.
“Excuse me,” a sudden voice to her right suddenly interrupts the slow-motion movie in Kara’s head that has focused mostly on cream puffs. “Are you Kara Danvers?”
“Yeah?” Kara adjusts her glasses and squares her shoulders, already prepared to face the person Andrea has sent to be her “greeter”—she has a habit of sending someone to escort Kara to personally come say hi to her and her new girlfriend, as if she’s too busy to come across the room herself.
“I thought I recognized you,” says the stranger before her. “I’m Lena, I’m—”
“Andrea’s friend,” Kara fills in the blanks, slightly stunned. “Hi.” She’d heard about Lena Luthor, the mysterious boarding schoolmate turned actress, but had never met her before.
“I always meant to come introduce myself, but…” Lena trails off, and the unspoken but then Andrea broke up with you remains unsaid. “Anyway, I’m sorry. I don’t know why I came over here, I was…”
“Curious?” Kara offers, and she feels the corner of her mouth twitch with the effort to withhold a self-pitying laugh. “I know, it’s weird. Here I am, at my ex’s party, just trying to stock up on as much free food as I can. I understand if you want to call security.”
Lena Luthor has a very stoic demeanor which must be a product of practiced professionalism, but when Kara says that, a laugh kind of erupts from her mouth; it’s simultaneously undignified and endearing all at once. “Oh, God, I’m sorry—I just, I have no doubt you don’t want to be here. I know Andrea makes it her mission to flaunt her success to everyone.”
“I guess,” Kara shrugs, “but I could have said no.”
“No, you couldn’t have,” Lena disagrees, and her eyes are undoubtedly searching as they meet Kara’s, her gaze heavy but warm. “I’ve been there, I know what she’s like.”
Kara tugs at the knot of her tie, suddenly wishes it were a bit looser, and then sighs. “Yeah,” she says quietly. “Sometimes I wish I could give her a taste of her own medicine, you know? To—” And then it dawns on her. It’s something Alex would thump her over the head for, and it’s the kind of idea that Nia would wholeheartedly agree on. “Hey. Are you single?”
Lena gives her an odd look. “What?”
“Wait, that’s not what it sounds like,” Kara is quick to assure her. “I meant—if you’re single, and willing, would you maybe want to pretend you’re my girlfriend?”
“Me?” Lena has very green eyes, mesmerizingly green really, and it’s hard for Kara to even form words when they’re trained on her. “That feels kind of…petty.”
Kara deflates. “You’re right,” she mumbles. “I’m sorry, I—”
“Kara, there you are.” Winn, who must be the unfortunate courier of bad news this evening, arrives short of breath. “Andrea wanted me to tell you hi for her. Or, er, she wants me to invite you to…say hi to her? I don’t even know what she’s asking.”
“We do,” Lena cuts in, and before Kara can even blink, there is a hand holding hers, intertwined fingers and all; Lena smiles sideways at her, just about level in her heels, and her smile is so stunningly pretty that Kara can only blink back in response. “Shall we, darling?”
“Um,” Kara says very ineloquently in response, and Winn’s eyes just about pop out of his head. “Okay.”
It is very strange to hold someone’s hand, Kara decides, when you don’t know the person. Lena’s hand is soft and just edging on cold, as if she’d been outside too long before arriving, and all Kara can do is agonize over whether her hand is sweaty.
Andrea is waiting by the orchestra, quite predictably, with her new girlfriend and acting as if she hadn’t expected Kara to walk up to her at all. “Kara, hi,” she says, and normally this is the time she would schmooze and smile without teeth, batting her eyes and stressing how nice it is that Kara could make it. But when she spots Lena—namely, Lena holding Kara’s hand—her smile freezes on her face. “Lena, I didn’t know you were coming. We didn’t see your RSVP.”
Lena tilts her head just so, smiling just bright enough to be polite. “Oh, I’m sorry,” she says, and lets go of Kara’s hand as if practiced to rest against the lapel of her suit jacket. “Kara’s invite had a plus one, so I assumed I could just come with.”
“Of course,” Andrea says tightly. “Though I must say, I didn’t even know you two knew each other.”
“Well, we have you to thank,” Kara says without even thinking, without even forming a story, and judging by the way Lena’s eyebrows raise she is thinking the same thing. “I was, um, working a shoot and Lena was there and she recognized me, from pictures you showed her? So we started talking. And here we are.” Then, because she’s sure she needs to play up the romance, she slides her own hand against Lena’s waist—a mistake for her own sanity, because Lena is in a quite form-fitting red dress and Kara gets a little too distracted when she looks at it.
“You make us sound so dull,” Lena tuts, and her eyes sparkle with a challenge when Kara looks at her. “She won’t admit it, but she was so tongue-tied when we met. Completely head over heels.”
“Okay but who wouldn’t be?” Kara dares her right back, feeling more brazen, and Lena quirks an eyebrow as if intrigued.
“I thought you were cute too, I suppose,” Lena says, and she sways into Kara’s embrace, which causes Kara’s heart to beat embarrassingly quick. “Even if you almost dropped a backdrop on my head.”
“I apologized for that,” Kara plays along, relieved that Lena’s far better at crafting a story; she has never seen Lena act in anything, but knows she has to be Oscar-worthy for this performance alone.
Andrea pointedly clears her throat. “How nice,” she says flatly, looking annoyed, and Kara had nearly forgotten that she’s here.
“Well great party, Andrea,” Kara says. “And thank you for having us, but we have to run—I promised Lena a dance.”
“Lena doesn’t dance,” Andrea says sharply, but Lena is already nodding along with Kara’s excuse.
“What can I say,” Lena says cheerfully, “she brings out the dancer in me.”
Kara has to pretend to cough, then, because that is such an awful line, and Lena pinches her wrist when no one is looking, and really it’s a miracle they manage to get away before Andrea realizes this is all a ruse. In fact, the instant they’re back at the buffet, they exchange a single look and immediately burst into laughter.
“Thank you, for that,” Kara says afterwards, shyly taking a step back when she notices she’s still lingering too close.
“It was your idea, I just brought it to life,” Lena says. “Though you really had me digging for my improv notes, because your storytelling leaves a lot to be desired.”
“I tend to think before I speak sometimes,” Kara admits sheepishly. “Which, uh, I’m sorry about. You know, because the dancing thing…” She pauses. “You don’t have to dance with me though. I’ll just pretend I got an urgent call or something, and Winn can pass on the message that I left.”
“You forget that I’m your date for the evening, now,” Lena warns. “If you leave I’m practically obligated to leave with you.”
“Right, I didn’t think of that.” And with Lena staring back at her, her expression soft and curious, Kara feels brave again. “Well…do you drink coffee?”
“I do,” Lena says, angling just a bit closer, and Kara smiles.
“I know a great coffee shop in the area,” she says. “And they don’t care if we show up looking like this.”
“Are you asking me on an actual date?” Lena bites her bottom lip just coyly enough that Kara knows she’s not opposed to the suggestion, which is what prompts her to respond,
“Yes,” without so much as a pause. “And I can promise I won’t almost-drop anything on your head in this scenario.”
“Well I’d hope so,” Lena says, and Kara laughs, and really it’s the strangest outcome that Kara could have never anticipated. And yeah, it’s as awkward as any first date already, Kara blushing too much and Lena fiddling with her hands as they walk, but—it’s also just about the best night of Kara’s life.
“So why didn’t you RSVP?” Kara thinks to ask, just as they reach the front door, and Lena scrunches her nose in confusion.
“I told my assistant to RSVP for me, I’m not sure what happened,” she says. “I saw her leave to the post office myself.”
“Oh,” Kara says, grimacing. “That wouldn’t have been the one off of 37th street, would it?”
“Yes, actually. How’d you know?”
Kara thinks of Nia’s ban, and the fact that letters are oh-so-flammable, and just shakes her head. “Let’s just say it’s never arriving,” she says, and Lena gives her a confused look, but Kara reaches for her hand again and then everything else kind of fades away.
(Even Alex—who they pass on the way outside—and her shout of, “Kara, what the fuck,” melts into the symphony of car honks and police sirens and shouts of passerby as Kara and Lena disappear into the cool night air).

Okay, I need help! I don’t know if anyone will actually see this but I might as well try, right?
So, I’m looking for a specific fanfic on AO3. It may or may not still be there but I distinctly remember reading it there originally. Anyway, onto the important info.
It’s a Supergirl fic. Kara Danvers/Lena Luthor is the main ship. My memory is a bit fuzzy because it’s been well over a year since I last saw it but I’ll try my best to summarize. The basic premise is Kara (human AU btw) was injured in an ice skating accident with her ex. She was a pretty well known athlete before the injury. The story begins at Alex Danvers’ wedding (I can’t recall who she got married to). All I recall is that Lena and Alex are childhood friends and so therefore Lena appears at the wedding. I’m pretty sure the wedding took place in Hawaii. Anyway, Kara and Lena have a drunk hookup without realizing who each other were. The rest of the story is Kara and Lena trying to figure out their feelings for each other while also keeping it hidden from Alex.
Some more random info: Lillian Luthor is good mom & friends with Eliza. Kara’s life has pretty much fallen apart after her injury. Kara owns a house in Hawaii.
Anyway, that’s pretty much all I can remember except for tiny, really specific moments. I’ve been searching for this fic for a while but sometimes AO3 is really hard to navigate for me, especially when I don’t remember any specific tags. If anyone also remembers this fic, lemme know pls!
UPDATE: I found the fic with the help of @magicllama1011! For anyone interested in finding this fic, the title is “And I’m tangled up in you” and it’s by miathesapphic so go and give this work the love it deserves. It was one of the first fanfics I ever read and it holds a pretty special place in my heart because of that. I remember I had just finished watching Supergirl sometime mid-summer last year and I was SO UPSET at the show for not letting Supercorp happen. (THAT HUG SCENE WAS TOTALLY SETTING UP FOR A KISS AND WE ALL KNOW IT!!!) Anyway, after that I decided to give fanfic a try and AO3 was probably the easiest for me to try(it was also the first site that popped up lol) and I immediately fell deep into the rabbit hole, desperately trying to fill the Supercorp-shaped hole in my heart that the actual show left me with. That along with AgentReign. Sam & Alex had WAY more chemistry on screen than Alex and Kelly (no hate to Kelly, I actually love her so much. 1000% better than James) Anyway, rant over. Sorry didn’t mean to go on that long lol. I critique so closely because I love the show so much. The characters and their actors deserved better.

Okay, so. Mon-el is at the academy right. What if his mom Rhea abducted Lena from earth as a child and sent her to infiltrate the Academy with Mon-el? Obviously Lena wouldn't be aware of this plan-- she just feels massive imposter syndrome bc even though she can fight and is smart, she's just a normal human with a bunch of superpowered kids.
When Kara arrives she's angry and grieving. She barges through the halls with little consideration for anyone else, too caught up in her loss to care. She meets Lena when she collides into her in the corridor outside a classroom. Lena goes flying into a wall, though isn't seriously injured. Kara is horrified by it, finally shocked into noticing her disregard, but the rest of the students laugh-- they don't like Lena, and don't think she belongs there, so they think it's hilarious.
Later that night, Kara finds Lena in the sparring room, practicing. When Kara arrives, Lena is skittish, immediately offering to leave so Kara can have the room to herself. But Kara heads her off, confessing she's there to apologize.
She finds herself telling Lena how alone she feels, how she's lost her world and doesn't know what to do or where to go, only feeling utterly adrift and detached from everyone around her.
Lena can relate, and does, sharing her own hardships (but not the truth of her abduction/upbringing, that comes later). When she mentions how much she has to study and train just to keep up with the others, Kara offers to help give her some tips-- after all, on Krypton she was about to join the military guild, so she knows her way around a fight.
Lena accepts, and it becomes a routine of theirs. Kara enjoys sharing her knowledge and likes the bits of Lena she starts to see as Lena relaxes around her. It gives her both a purpose and someone to connect to, while Lena steadily improves-- and if they create some teamwork moves together that they later do in class, well, that's just for fun.
When Mon-el shows his true colors, its on a night where Lena asks to see Kara after hours. She wants to tell Kara about some suspicions she has about her "brother", but when Mon-el's treachery is discovered, Kara believes Lena lured her away to give him access.
Kara sees to it that Lena is imprisoned intitially, but when she stops to think about it later, she realizes it doesn't make much sense. After all, when has Lena had time to scheme? She barely sleeps as it is. And why would Mon-el leave her behind if she was part of the plan all along? Why would LENA let herself be caught? She had the brains and the means to escape before her capture, so why wouldn't she have?
So Kara goes back to the cells and finally listens to what Lena has to say. Only then does Lena share that she wasn't rescued by Rhea, but stolen from her home. She was raised by her captor and then sent away, here, to the academy. She doesn't know why, but she's suspect Mon-el and Rhea had some evil plan in store for some time now. That's why she wanted to meet with Kara.
Kara releases Lena from her cell and together they confront Mon-el and Rhea in the academy vault, where an ancient weapon has been stored since the 21st century. A weapon keyed to Luthor DNA.
Together, Lena and Kara work with the other academy kids to stop the Daxamites, and though Rhea does manage to get Lena's blood on the sensor to activate the weapon, Lena is later able to disable it, thanks to her Luthor intellect.
After the crisis is over and the Legion returns, the academy kids finally realize that Lena has only ever tried to be a hero, just like them-- and she's succeeded alongside them. It leads to Kara and Lena finally finding their place among the halls of the academy-- together.

Vengeance, Victory, and Undying Love - pt 6
Chapter 6 of my Supercorp fic in which Lena still creates something called Non Nocere to deal with her broken heart after finding out Supergirl's identity, but this time she gives the name to a different project. A more personal one. And now she’s coming for Supergirl.
This and previous chapters also available to read on Ao3
................
The kryptonite was ready, and Lena had outdone herself, if she did say so herself. Now she just had to decide how to deliver it.
She strummed her fingers against the desk top, considering her options.
A kryptonite bullet fired from a sniper rifle through Kara’s window?
Use the spare key she still had to get into Kara’s apartment and hide it under her pillow?
Leave it on her doorstep in an Amazon delivery box?
Kryptonite stuffed potsticker?
But no.
The ideas were all either too indirect and risky (what if someone got hurt by mistake? Kryptonite might be harmless to humans, but a bullet was a bullet), or too undignified to be borne (a potsticker? Really?). No. This was and had always been personal, so it was only fitting that Lena should end things the same way. She would look into Kara’s eyes in the moment the kryptonite made contact, and know for sure that it was done. It would be a kind of closure. Catharsis even. The natural end point of all the simulations she’d cycled through over the past weeks.
Now it was decided she would have preferred to go immediately, but she knew better. A Luthor did not just rush in and hope for the best. In life as in chess, you had to think ahead and plan every move out until your trap was laid so perfectly your opponent couldn’t help blundering into it.
‘Checkmate Kara’.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The night she finally chose was an ordinary Tuesday. Kara was alone in her apartment. Alex was asleep in her own home (Lena had made sure) and her other friends were variously out of town or engaged in other plans. Take out had been ordered and delivered several hours before so there was no risk of being disturbed by the inopportune arrival of pizza.
Nothing was going to interrupt them.
Nothing was going to stop Lena from having her moment.
It was time.
Lena knocked on Kara’s door – three quick raps, and then waited, bracing herself against the rush of loss she knew would hit when it opened and the subtle hint of Kara’s-appartment-smell wafted out to greet her. She’d only ever stayed over for the occasional post movie night sleepover, but somehow that scent felt like home far more than the purified air and expensive perfume that greeted her when she opened her own front door.
‘Lena?’
‘Kara. I hope I didn’t wake you’.
‘No no, not at all. Come in, please! I’m so glad you’re here, I’ve been hoping we could talk. Are you… okay?’
‘To be honest, no, I’m not’.
That was a lie of course. Well, so Lena told herself. Of course she was more than merely okay. All her plans were about to come to fruition. She was almost free...
‘Please, tell me what I can do to help’.
Lena closed her eyes. This was harder than she’d expected it to be, but she couldn’t stop now. Time to inject a little honesty then – Lex had always drummed into her that a good lie was mostly truth, with just the crucial falsehood slipped in amidst the distraction of candour. She hated to take anything from her brother, but she reminded herself that this time it was being used for the good of the world.
‘I just wish… I wish you could have seen past the Luthor name and trusted me’.
True, but calculated to get the response she was looking for.
‘I did. I do. I’m sorry I didn’t always show you that, but I know you’re not your family. I know I can’t take back what happened, but I would do anything to make this right’.
‘Do you mean that?’
‘I do, so much’.
She let out a shaky breath and took a step towards Kara, her fingers inching towards the wrapped bundle in her pocket.
‘Then I have something for you’.
The briefest hesitation and then with a quick, fluid motion she passed the point of no return, and held the pouch out to Kara.
‘Here, take it’.
Kara frowned a little and dipped her head to peer briefly over the rim of her glasses – a gesture Lena now realised was her trying to use her x-ray vision to see the packet’s contents.
‘There’s no point in doing that, it’s lead lined. If you’re trusting me, it has to be for real – no super-cheats’.
‘Right, sorry, habit I guess. I could never resist peaking at my birthday presents before I opened them either’.
Kara took the pouch.
Poor girl.
She was so predictable, in every way but the one that had really mattered.
Time to really sell it.
She smiled at Kara as if they were still friends and what she had brought was simply an order of potstickers (and oh how nearly it had been, albeit not with Kara’s usual choice of filling).
‘Well don’t keep me in suspense, open it!’
And Kara did.
She pulled the drawstrings of the pouch and tipped its contents directly onto her bare palm.
Lena watched closely as the kryptonite made contact with her skin, as her eyes widened in shock and she dropped the small lump of rock noisily to the floor, stepping back from it as if that would make a difference.
But it was too late for that.
It was done.
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (One Shot)
Tumblr media
Request
I promised I was going to after all. Pls forgive, I’m a slow writer but I always enjoy writing for you guys. Tho I’m still deciding if I should do a second part nsfw... Anyway, hope you like this little piece, and let me know what you think!
Lena Luthor x Fem!R//Word Count: 1,060 -------------------------------------------------------
When you planned this little trip, you were thinking it was going to be all about fun and relaxation. You would sleep late, wake up until late morning, have some nice breakfast in bed, take long baths, and enjoy the Caribbean paradise as much as you could.
And so it was for the first couple of days, until you noticed your always busy girlfriend wasn't enjoying herself as much.
"Lena, I swear, if you don't put your phone down I'll take it and throw it away so hard you will need Supergirl to retrieve it back from outer space."
Lena froze mid-text and turned to look at you with a sheepish smile. You pulled your sunglasses down and narrowed your eyes at her.
It was the second time you visited the beach, and it was again the second time Lena seemed to be busy with something else. You couldn't entirely blame her for it considering she was the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company, a consultant for the DEO, and best friends with National City's superheroine, Supergirl. Someone, something, somewhere, was always going to need her attention but you knew even someone as amazing and powerful as her had her limits.
"Sorry, darling. You want me to get us more cocktails?"
"Nuh-uh, don't darling me." You sat straight on your deck chair. "What I need is for you to stop working for a minute, alright?"
Part of the reason you had organized the trip was because you had started to notice some changes in her demeanor. She was leaving work late, barely sleeping at night, and you weren't sure if she was keeping up with her meals. You had spoken with her assistant, Jess, about it and she had confirmed your suspicions about it all. Work seemed to pile in her office, the DEO and Supergirl called her every now and then to help them deal with considerable threats, and Lena still had to manage her business and her own scientific projects.
The cherry on top of it all had to be you, as she always did her best to find time to spend with you.
Lena Luthor was the most wonderful human being but it was costing her so much just to exist. That's why, when Jess suggested her boss was in dire need of a break, you didn't think twice about planning a little get away for you two alone.
The plan was simple, take Lena to another country with a beautiful beach, preferably on the other side of the planet, spend at least a week in a great five-star hotel overlooking the ocean, take her to the spa, and do whatever necessary to keep her mind off responsibilities. So far, it wasn't working.
"You know I can't." Lena said doing her best impression of puppy eyes.
"What's so important this time?" You pulled yourself closer to her as she too sat straight on her chair to show you her screen phone.
"The gala for this years charity?" You frowned in confusion. "Don't you have like a whole team organizing it already?"
"I do, but I need it to be perfect." She retrieved her phone and looked at it. You could see the worry slipping in her expression.
"Here, give me." You reached over with your hand, prompting Lena to give you her phone. She did after a moment of hesitation and you smiled at her as you could read her thoughts. "Not gonna throw it, I promise."
Instead, you locked her phone and left it on the table near you, between your cocktails, and raised your hands again for Lena to hold them. She watched you with some suspicion in her eyes but followed suit as she reached for your hands. She caressed them with her thumbs and you felt your heart melting at the gesture. You couldn't stay mad at her when she did that.
"Hear me out for a second, okay?" Lena nodded. "You have been planning this gala for a year, making everything in your hands to get more and new organizations and people to join. You already did the hardest part, so let your team do the rest. They know what they are doing."
"I know, but what if someone backs down from the event? Or if they need me to take care of something personally and I have to go back and-"
"Hey, hey." You searched her eyes. "They got this. They are the best at what they do, you know why? Because you, Lena Luthor, only hire the best of the best. Ask Jess if you don't believe me."
That made her smile. "I do believe you."
It mean the world to her that you were always there to remind her what was important at times like these, helping her realize nothing was as bad as it seemed and that she shouldn't waste the rare and precious moments she got to live with you without a catastrophe at hand.
"Good. Now, believe me when I say you deserve some peace and quiet. We are already here, let's enjoy ourselves."
"Peace and quiet, sounds good." She leaned to give you a kiss abut you raised a finger at her as she got closer, stopping her midway.
"Before that, you gotta promise me, no phones or other electronic devices, and no business calls. At least for the rest of the day. Alright?"
"Do I get my kiss if I say yes?"
"You can get more than a kiss of you do." You smirked.
"Oh, what else are we talking about?" Lena raised a brow with a new found interest and for a moment she seemed to really forget about her worries.
"We could have a little more fun." You said teasingly and looking at her lips. "The kind that is more enjoyable at night, after a nice dinner and that sweet wine you like."
"Sounds good to me."
"Do we have a deal then, Miss Luthor?"
"Deal." She said, and you couldn't help but smile as she closed the distance between you two.
For the rest of the day, as promised, Lena kept her hands off her phone and tried her best not to think about whatever happening back in National City. She was too busy thinking about what the end of the day would bring instead and how happy you made her.
TV Series Discussion: Supergirl
Season 6 (2021)
Tumblr media
Source: Google Images
The adventures of Superman's cousin and her own superhero career.
Source: IMDb (2015)
A Bittersweet End
I am going to start this out by saying I had no expectations for Supergirl Season 6. I might have watched all the previous seasons, but I was disappointed with the last or last 2 season(s). Although I adore Supergirl and the Super Friends, the plots were often average. Now thinking back, I can't even name a Supergirl villain that stuck to me.
That being said, this final season of Supergirl was much better than the previous seasons. It got me hooked onto the show and there were times when I was actually emotional. Although the villains were way below mid, the storylines were solid. And the action, I absolutely enjoyed it. Even the character developments were good. As a Supergirl season, season 6 was one of the better ones. As a final season, I believe it could have been better plotted.
Lets start with the villains. I'm not saying Nyxly was a marvellous villain but because of her existence and actions, it created several great storylines, especially the role it played into Kara's self-realisation, then development.
Lex on the other hand, his arc was so weirdly written. The Lex Luthor I was used to disappeared in season 6, for real. Him being in love really ruined his arc, when he could have gone down as one of the show's better villains. But, I like what the writers did with this character. I mean, people have tried to kill Lex, he lived. People have tried to incarcerate Lex, he walked away scott free. Other than the Phantom Zone, I doubt there would be another way to get rid of Lex once and for all.
As for Lillian. I hated her throughout all 6 seasons. I really did not like the idea of her redemption in the end but her redemption meant enlightenment for Lena. For that, I eventually accepted that there was a redemption arc for this infuriating woman. Perhaps, if her redemption was shown gradually through this last season, I might not have disliked the idea as much.
Through the entire season, I enjoyed more than I was bored. I liked more than I disliked. Unfortunately, there was something I seriously wished the writers never wrote down. What happened to William did not need to happen, or at least, not to him. It's not as if William's death meant the whole Super Friends was going on a revenge path, so why bring him back from being shot only to have him go permanently by being shot? He was the one character I constantly wished nothing happened to him since his first appearance...
Moving on to brighter topics, lets talk about Kelly. First thing first, that episode that was Kelly-centric? Wow. It was the first time Azie Tesfai impressed me. The way Tesfai portrayed Kelly in the episode, it was almost like I could feel everything Kelly was experiencing. Then came their wedding scene and I am never one for vows, not a romantic and could care less about wedding vows. However, Kelly's vows to Alex touched my heart. I really don't know if it's the words, Tesfai's acting, or the combination of both. Whatever it is, I finished Supergirl extremely aware of what a magnificent actress Tesfai is.
Next, Nia. Not only did Nia (and Dreamer) grow, Nicole Maines improved so much too. I never disliked Maines nor her character but the acting always felt a little awkward. Usually, I just let it go because if Nia is one awkward girl, Dreamer will be awkward too and thus the awkward acting. This last season proved me wrong because I still see awkward Nia but the acting very obviously improved. Completely off the tangent here but when Nia confronted Maeve? Atta girl! I loved it when Nia told her sister, she will not forgive her but she can give a second chance. That's the way, actually. How do people forgive without seeing how others handle their second chances?
Lastly, Kara's character arc. I have always loved it when Kara showed vulnerability. In this season, she's practically always vulnerable even when she's not actively attacked. It hurts to watch Supergirl lose hope so often but then the way the smallest things brought back some hope to her? Love it. The courage plot was something else too, something I did not see play out the way it did. As much as I loved it, I still don't know how I feel about the season ending with the world finding out Supergirl's identity.
After watching several Arrowverse shows consecutively, Supergirl was a nice end before a break from the Arrowverse TV shows. Although Kara and Mon-El are not endgame, I am still very happy that the finale brought back the old faces.
Rating: ★★★★☆
Powergirl Should Die - Final
Supergirl. Powergirl. Kara Danvers x BabyDanvers!Reader, Alex Danvers x BabyDanvers!Reader, Lena Luthor, J'onn J'onnz, Winn Schott.
Word Count: 2750.
Part 1. Part 2.
Powergirl is gone.
"Boss." You nod at J'onn when you fly into the DEO. Alex hears your voice and makes her way towards the both of you. "Tag me in tonight. I've got a good night of rest. I'm ready to patrol the hell out of this town."
"I'm sorry, Powergirl." J'onn, whose voice displays no emotion at all, says. "I'm taking you out of this case. You're too close to the cause."
"What? Of course I'm too close, it's about me!” You speak a little too loud and notice all the other agents pretending they can't hear you. "You can't get me out of the case of someone trying to kill me."
"Are they? Trying to kill you?" You hear Winn's voice on J’onn’s back and you turn your head to look at him. You must be making some face because he looks scared when he sees you. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't butt in."
"Yeah, you shouldn't, computer guy."
"Hey!" Alex defends him and you roll your eyes.
"I just –" Winn continues even after seeing you scowl. "They haven't done anything. You have been getting those messages for a couple of weeks now. You should think someone would have tried something. Did anyone try anything?"
"No."
"Besides," Alex chimes in again. "It's not wise getting yourself in danger for it. Wait around, when we catch them you can do the interrogation yourself."
"Is this for real?" You look at the three agents ganging up on you, looking dead serious about it. You shake your head in disbelief. "This whole place is a joke!"
You go to L Corp for lunch. You show up with a bag of Belly Burgers and a whole speech for Lena. The thing is, Lena truly helped you sleep well the night before. With her you felt safe and yourself. Even with her finding out that you are Powergirl, you could let yourself forget about it, at least while you were in her arms. But still you can't help but feel like you took advantage of her.
You decide to save this whole conversation until after you both finish eating.
"Hey," Lena slides in a little closer, reaching for your hand on top of the couch. "You were quiet all throughout lunch. You know you can trust me with your secret, right?"
"Oh, yeah. I'm not worried about that." You give her a truthful smile and she slides in even closer, grabbing your hand and holding it between hers.
"What are you worried about, then? Let me in." Lena requests so softly, there's no way you can deny her. "I know the writing is keeping you awake," She makes sure. "but what else is keeping you closed off?"
"Lena." Her name comes out as a whine, and as result she kisses your temple while squeezing your hand in comfort. "What if the writing is coming from someone I know?"
She furrows her brows, but doesn't press you further. "Then you can do something about it, right? You're Powergirl! You're the strongest person I know!"
"Really?" She agrees with her head. You don't buy it. "What about Supergirl?"
"I mean, don't you and Kara have the same powers? Why would she be stronger?" Lena seems sincere, like she truly doesn't think that Kara is better than you in any way, including being a superhero.
"Yeah, I guess." You don't wanna tell her that you think your own sister is writing those things. Lena is Kara's best friend too. You can't poison that unless you know for sure. And the only way you can know for sure is if you confront your sister. "I guess I do have to do something about it."
You're not exactly thrilled to have this conversation with Kara, but it seems to be overdue.
"Hey," Lena whispers a bit closer. "I'm here for whatever you need. Always."
"I thought you would be mad that I didn't tell you I was Powergirl."
"I was. It lasted half a second." Lena says and you smile widely at her.
"I'm sorry about yesterday. I was so sleep deprived I just made you uncomfortable with the whole nonsense about you getting me naked. I mean, obviously you wouldn't wanna kiss–"
Lena interrupts you, with her lips crashing into yours. You first widen your eyes in surprise, but when her hand makes way to your neck, you're quick to close your eyes and melt into the kiss.
"I wasn't gonna kiss you yesterday." She whispers, breaking the kiss, and you slowly open your eyes. Your faces are so close you see every single color in Lena's iris. She's so damn beautiful. "You were so tired, it was like taking advantage of a drunk girl."
"I would've let you, though." You joke and she laughs before kissing you again. "Thank you, darling. You have no idea how much you've helped me last night. It was the first night in months I haven't had a single nightmare."
"Glad to be at service." Lena kisses your cheek, and you move your hands out of hers to snuggle her into your embrace. "Same time tonight?"
"Can't wait." You punctuate it with kisses on her face, and finally breathe deep. At least a good thing since you can't patrol the city tonight. Although, you don't think there will be any writing done. Not after you confront Kara about it.
It's after work when you fly through Kara's apartment window, unceremoniously.
"Oh hey!" Kara opens her arms excitedly when she sees you and you give her a forced smile. "You were reading my mind, I was about to call you and ask you to come over."
You make your way inside, but not before your sister pulls you in for a hug and a kiss on the top of your head.
"Why?" You untangle yourself making way to her couch. She furrows her brows when notices that you don't hug her back, but you're already throwing yourself on the couch, supersuit and all.
"Alex told me J'onn decided to take you off the case." You raise your head at her when she comes closer, a clear scowl. "I'm sorry, mini me. I promise I'll do whatever it takes to make the writing stop, ok?" Kara kneels in front of you, reaches for a loose strand of hair, and puts it behind your ear. "It will be alright."
"Will it?" You glare at her, crossing your arms in front of your chest.
"It will." Kara gives you a trying smile. "In the meantime, maybe you can talk to Lena about having more sleepovers, so you can continue sleeping well. I'm sure she won't mind."
"Why are you so worried about how well I sleep?"
"Because!" You hear her heart picking up the pace, so you wait for the rest, sure you must be closing in on her real reasons. "Sleep is important, and I know you were having a hard time with it. Nightmares ain't fun." You raise an eyebrow at her, she licks her lips. "And you said you were having them for a while. How-how long again?"
"Months."
"Right. Months with no good sleep, having to work and be a superhero. It takes a toll."
"You know what else takes a toll on people?" Kara raises an eyebrow in question. "Lying."
"Um, I guess. Have you? Been lying?"
"Me?" You can't believe she won't admit it. And she thinks you're the one lying. What the hell. "Oh no, I'm not the liar. You are."
"What?" Kara's mouth opens and closes a few times, like she can't believe she got caught. Like she didn't think you would find out. "What are you even talking about?"
And then, just like that, you snap. Anger starts boiling your blood, and you get up in a swift movement, ready to unleash hell. She stumbles back in surprise. It takes her a few seconds to get up too.
"You made me a superhero. Forced me into this life." You spit out greeted teeth. "Have you ever thought I could want something else? Have you ever thought of me as something other than a mini you?"
"What?"
"You got me to work for you and Alex! So you could both control my every step! And now what? Now you don't want me to be Powergirl anymore?"
"What?" She repeats, looking so surprised, you don't know how she can fake it so well. When did your sister become such a good actress? "What do you mean? Of course I do!"
"Then why have you been writing on fucking billboards and buildings that Powergirl should die?" Kara's eyes widen so much, you can't help but to roll your own. "Oh Rao, stop playing dumb already! I saw you, ok?"
"You saw me?"
"Red cape, blonde hair flying in the wind. All of it."
Kara furrows her eyebrows, "Really?" You agree with your head. "Red cape like this one?" She grabs your cape, pulling you to the direction of the mirror. "Blonde hair like that one?" She points at your reflection.
"Oh yeah, that makes sense." You can't stop the irony thick in your voice. "Yeah, sure. I'm the one writing that I should die."
"You are." Kara holds your face between her hands. "You haven't been having nightmares, Y/N. What you think you're dreaming, it's really happening. And the red cape you saw was yours."
"No."
"It's not the first time, either. You used to have them in Krypton too. Used to go around doing things you wouldn't remember and blame them on me."
"You're lying." You push Kara away from you so strongly, you're amazed she doesn't fall. "Just admit you did it! Why won't you?"
"Because I did! Our whole lives I would take the blame for everything you did while you were sleepwalking. With mother and father, Eliza, even with Alex. Gosh, Alex is still mad at me for destroying her chances to go to Europe when you were the one that did it!"
"No, you did it! You – You exploded Alex's stuff with your heat vision and Eliza thought you were feeling left out, I saw your blonde hair!" You stop yourself, walking backwards until your legs hit the couch again and you fall in it, wordless.
"You hate being Powergirl so you want her dead." Kara whispers lightly not to startle you. "I can't take the blame for this, because it won't stop it. You're the one that has to stop this now." She clears her throat to make sure you're still listening. "Kid, I can protect you from all the monsters and villains and planet explosions, but I can't protect you from yourself."
Your mind is screaming at you. Short-circuiting being overflowed with memories. She is right. Oh no, Kara is right. It was you all along.
When Kal was born you were jealous of the attention he was getting, so you stole his baby blanket and hid under Kara's bed.
You lost your spy beacon, so aunt Astra could only communicate with Kara afterwards. But you blamed Kara for having stolen yours and everyone believed you.
Alex said she wouldn't be back from college that year. Instead, she was going to Europe for the summer. You got mad and sad, you missed your sister so much and was so anxious to see her, yet she wasn't coming home. So you did it. You exploded Alex's side of the room and said Kara did it.
And Kara took the blame. She took the blame for you again and again. She would have people yelling at her, mad at her, but she wouldn't accuse you.
Oh my God, you just blamed your sister for wanting you dead when she was only trying to protect you from yourself again.
"Kara," You raise your tear-soaked face at her. "I swear I didn't know. I – I didn't do it on purpose."
"I know, baby." She whispers, one lonely tear rolling down her cheeks.
"No, I – Kara, I –" You can't talk. Can't breathe. It's all too much. "I'm sorry." You fall on your kneecaps, head hanging low. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'll tell Alex, I'll call Eliza and tell her too, I wish I could tell mother and father, I wish I –"
Kara kneels in front of you, pulls your face to her chest and hugs your head. "You're ok. It's ok." She kisses the crown of your head. "It's what I'm here for. I'm here to protect you. I'm here to prevent you from getting hurt. I would've taken the blame for this too, if I could. But if I did, the writing would never stop."
"You took the blame for everything." You cry harder. "Oh Rao, I've been hating you for weeks. But it was all my fault. And you," You look up to her, though you can't see right with all of the tears blurring your view. "You knew. I was treating you so badly, and you knew exactly why."
Kara shrugs. She doesn't care that you've been blaming her. Why doesn't she care?
"I told you," She answers the question right out of your mind. "I will always protect you. And I won't stop just because you're being mean to me. I'm your big sister and I love you."
You hold her tight, crying non stop, unable to tell her how much you love her too. But she knows. She knows by the way you're sobbing and giving her a bone-crushing hug at the same time.
"It's time to let Powergirl go, baby." She cleans your tears, and helps you up. "Come on, let's let her go."
"But – But you need my help, you need me to be her." You whine, even though you are making it easier for Kara to detach the cape from your back.
"No." Kara speaks softly and kisses your temple, soothing. "I don't need Powergirl. I need my sister. I need you, Y/N."
She helps you out of your stupid gloves and boots, while you cry. You don't know why you're crying. You're happy, you’re finally free of this gigantic responsibility that was placed on your back. You’re happy you won’t have to lie anymore. And yet, you cry.
“Come on, it’s over now.” Kara shows up in front of you with one of her baggy hoodie and you’re out of skin tight suit soon after. And so you can finally breathe again.
You watch Kara carefully folding your suit and placing them in a box. She gives it to you so you can decide what to do with it. You don’t take the box from her hands.
“You keep it. In case of an emergency.”
Kara looks at the box in her hands. “I’ll not ask you to put on this suit again, I promise.”
And you believe her. But you also know that if any of your sisters or Lena are in danger, no one will even have to ask you.
“You take it to the DEO then. I’m sure they’ll keep it safe.” You hug Kara tight, one last tear falling from your eye. “Thank you for everything. Thank you for keeping me safe and always protecting me. El Mayarah."
"El Mayarah, mini you. Mini sis? Minnie Mouse!" Kara says and scrunches her nose at it.
"Yikes."
"I'll think of something else." Kara guarantees, kissing the top of your head. And you make your way to the door. "Wait," She says before you leave. "You're not wearing pants."
"Oh," You look at the large hoodie reaching mid thighs. "It's fine, I don't think Lena would mind."
"I knew it!" Kara says excitedly, and then she furrows her brows right after. "Can't let you leave the house with no pants, though. Especially now that I know where you're going."
"Fineeee." You pretend to be annoyed, but you're not really. It wasn't a good idea leaving the house without pants. Kara gives you matching sweatpants and kisses your head one more time before you leave.
"I'm happy for you and Lena, little one." Then she smiles brightly, eyes lightning up as well. "I think I got it this time."
"You've got it."
Powergirl is gone. Not dead. But definitely gone. And that lifts a huge weight from your shoulders and you're completely sure you won't have nightmares and won't sleepwalk again. At least not for that reason.
But hey, who are you to skip a sleepover date with your beautiful girlfriend, right?
Two Options
Supercorptober Day 10 - Ice
Lena hands Kara a glass of water, the ice cubes clinking against the sides as it changes hands.
“So, what have you got for me this time, Ms Luthor? Time travelling device or a pill that can cure every disease in the world?” Kara smiles up at Lena from the white couch in her office and takes a sip from the glass before placing it down on the table opposite Lena’s own drink.
Lena hesitates briefly. “Well, I believe that you have far too much faith in me if you believe that would be truly possible because my designs for a time travel device couldn’t get us to yesterday afternoon let alone far enough back to see the dinosaurs in action.”
“So you have tried to design one?” Kara’s ears perk up and her eyes glisten with excitement at the prospect.
Lena tilts her head to the side for a second, her lips pinched to try and stop herself from smiling. “I may have had a few ideas back in the day, it’s a shame none of them panned out though.”
A devilish look comes across Kara’s face, giving Lena a chance to prepare herself for whatever teasing quip is about to fall from her lips. “Can I see the blueprints? I want to see the groundwork for the world’s most spectacular invention.”
“Yeah – that’s a no from me. Some things get lost in my filing cabinets on purpose.” Lena grimaces at the thought of some of her more…imaginative…creations.
Kara senses that Lena is ready to move on and doesn’t want to upset her favourite CEO of a fortune 500 company, so she transitions back into her reason for being here. “So, did you have something in mind to show me when you called me this morning?”
“Well, I have two things, an option for you really.” Her hands are sat on her lap, fingers intertwined to stop them from fidgeting and picking at her cuticles.
“Ok, that’s great, but I can’t promise that won’t end in me writing multiple articles about you because everything you show me ends up being incredible.” Kara reaches into her bag, digging around for her notepad and pen, ready to kick into full fledged reporter mode.
Lena outwardly struggles to get words out, her mouth opening and then closing again a second later as she tries to find a place to start. “One option is that I tell you all about my newest venture down in the labs and the other is a request of sorts.”
Kara was just about to start writing something down but upon hearing what Lena is saying, her pen pauses just above the paper and her focus shifts to the woman sat opposite her. “A request?”
“I- Yes.” Lena clears her throat, gathering her courage. “A request for you to put the notepad down and have lunch with me sometime, or maybe dinner.”
Kara’s mind freezes, comprehending what Lena is asking but not quite believing that it’s actually happening. “You…me…dinner?”
“Yes, I was hoping that perhaps you would be interested in going out sometime, on a date, that is.” Lena holds her breath after speaking, waiting for a response.
Kara flounders, completely unprepared and trying to fix her malfunctioning brain before Lena asphyxiates. “Are you being serious?”
“I am. Of course you are free to decline, and we can pretend that this never happened though, if you would prefer it that way. I will happily work with you for interviews and such if you say no, there’s no pressure here, Kara.” Despite the sentiment of her statement, Lena’s eyes are pleading with Kara, begging her from the very depths of her soul not to break her heart.
Kara doesn’t think she has the ability to say no to those eyes. “I don’t have to be back at the office for another three hours, do you fancy trying that new place down by the park, maybe go for a walk after if we have time?”
The apprehensive expression Lena was wearing disappears the instant Kara answers her. “And here I was thinking that I was asking you out.”
“Well, you got lost in a ramble, which is meant to be my job, so someone had to do the dirty work and come up with a plan.” Kara teases, dazzling grin aimed at the brunette.
“Good job you’re here to pick up the slack then, huh?”
“It is, now come on and finish your drink and we can get going.” Kara grabs her own glass and guzzles down the cool water, her throat bobbing with each swallow.
Lena follows her lead with a quick, “yes, ma’am” then stands, already half way across the office so she can grab her coat and her purse. “I am ready to go.”
Kara meets her by the door, arm held outwards in offering. Lena takes it, falling in stride with the hot blonde that she has somehow convinced to go out on a date with her.
“You know, I was expecting that if you said yes, we would maybe be going out sometime next week, not immediately.” Lena keeps her grip loose, nerves already pooling in her chest because Kara is throwing her so far out of her comfort zone that she can barely even see it on the horizon.
Kara actually snorts a little as she laughs at Lena and then has the cutest little blush afterwards because she knows that Lena heard it. “You got something better to do?”
Lena backtracks right away, holding her spare hand up in surrender. “Nope, nope. It was just an observation.”
“Well, you could always show me those blueprints if you aren’t feeling up to it.” Kara playfully wiggles her eyebrows, showing that she’s just joking, putting Lena at ease ever so slightly.
Together they step into the elevator, ready to head on down. “Well, I guess that since we’re officially going on a date that it would be unprofessional for you to be my go to reporter from CatCo, so it will be one of your colleagues to see them if I ever decide to share.”
Kara’s mouth hangs open in shock. “I’ve made a terrible mistake.”
Just as Lena is about to retort the elevator comes to a screeching halt, the lights flickering off before the emergency light turns on, a faint green glow lighting up the tiny box.
Kara clings to the railing even though they aren’t moving while Lena heads for the control panel and tries the ‘open door’ button, which doesn’t work, before trying the alarm.
They don’t get a response right away, but they do get patched through to security a few moments later.
“This is Lena Luthor, me and a guest are trapped in the elevator, we’re requiring assistance.”
The speaker buzzes with static before the voice of a guard blares through. “My apologies, Ms Luthor. The elevator has gone into lockdown mode, along with the entire building as a bomb threat was made so we will not be able to get you guys out of there until the building has been cleared by the appropriate authorities.”
“Right…ok. Just please have a team on standby to get us out as soon as you can.”
“Will do, Ms Luthor.”
Lena heaves out a deep sigh and lets her forehead rest against the cool metal of the elevator wall. “Sorry, Kara. I guess we will be rescheduling our date after all.” She turns to look at Kara and scrunches her eyebrows when she sees that Kara is leaning back into the railing, arms at her sides with a tight grip on the bars, and her eyes scrunched shut.
“Yep, I heard. By the way, have I ever mentioned that I get a teensy bit claustrophobic?” Kara keeps her eyes closed, focusing on resisting the urge to just break her way out of the little death box with her superstrength, she isn’t the kind of gal to give away all of her secrets on the first date and being Supergirl is one hell of a secret.
Lena instantly rushes to her side, only pausing when she’s right beside her, unsure if she should touch her or give her space. “What can I do?”
“Try and distract me from the fact we are trapped in here – and maybe hold my hand.”
Kara’s directed to take a seat on the floor, they may as well sit down since they are probably going to be stuck in here for a while and her hand is engulfed in Lena’s own. “Tell me what you were planning to order for lunch.”
“The biggest burger they have on the menu. I like to pick something that I can’t eat in a dignified way on the first date so I can weed out the ones with weak stomachs early because you are gonna be exposed to some sights if you’re dating me.” Kara laughs at her own joke.
Lena just rolls her eyes, watching Kara closely. “Well, I happen to have a very strong stomach and I’ve also already seen you eat almost an entire box of doughnuts by yourself when you brought them along to the last interview right after lunch, so everybody had already eaten. I have been meaning to ask if you did that on purpose though?”
“Of course I did that on purpose, like I was just going to hand out a full box of doughnuts without a plan to take at least half for myself, I’m on a budget and no way could I afford lunch on top of buying that box.” Kara opens her eyes, trying and failing to calm her rapidly beating heart even with the light hearted conversation there to distract her.
Lena watches Kara’s eyes dart around the small space. “Are you ok?”
“How do you feel about aliens punching holes in your buildings?” Kara asks, not at all bothered by the taken aback expression she receives.
“I would prefer that nobody punched holes in my buildings, why were you planning on calling Supergirl to come and rescue us? I’ve seen that you’ve worked with her before through some of your articles.”
“Something like that.”
Lena leans closer to Kara when the blonde pulls her knees up to her chest, eyes rapidly flicking to each wall, searching for a way out that Lena just can’t provide. “Tell me what you meant, maybe it will take your mind off it.”
Kara’s breaths stutter, and she begins to shake as the panic overtakes her. “If I tell you that, you would be following up our date with another date but this time with a pile of NDAs.”
“Sounds worth it to me.” Lena wraps an arms over Kara’s shoulder and uses the hand to try and push Kara’s head onto her shoulder, but it doesn’t move even an inch when her palm presses to the side of her head since Kara has gone completely stiff.
Kara slips her hand out of Lena’s and brings them both up to her chest, unbuttoning her shirt button by button so she doesn’t have to waste time by sewing them back on later.
“Kara, now is not really the time to be undressing.”
Lena’s mouth drops open when the familiar crest comes into view. “Oh fuck.”
The curse is enough to shock Kara out of her panic filled trance. “Surprisingly, that’s not the worst reaction I’ve ever had.”
“We’re you really expecting me to let you bust a hole in my elevator to let you out?” Lena asks, incredulous.
Kara shrugs, relaxing a little bit. Somehow telling such a big secret to Lena is helping her to relax instead of being all encompassed by her overwhelming claustrophobia. “It seemed like it was worth a try.”
“In your dreams.”
“Lena?”
Lena smiles at Kara, amused more than worried now that Kara doesn’t seem to be having such a hard time. “I’m not letting you cause damage to my building, no matter how cute you are when you pout.”
“I wasn’t going to ask again, I was just going to say that I really wish I didn’t have that water before we got stuck in here because now I need to piss like a racehorse.”
For some reason that makes Lena chuckle, and then fully laugh. The next thing she knows she’s full on belly laughing which makes Kara join in, soon howling right along with Lena, unable to look at her directly because it just makes her laugh more.
That’s how the guards find them when they get the doors open; sat on the floor, laughing so hard they think they might wet themselves. It’s a good job Kara buttoned up her shirt when she heard them working on the doors or else Lena won’t be the only one with NDAs overflowing her desk.
They are quickly informed that the threat was proven to be fake and that they are free to continue about their days as normal and neither of them have an issues doing just that.
Lena still drags Kara out of the building, fully intent on having her date. “After all of that, I’m going to watch you eat a massive burger while thinking about how cute your little squirrel cheeks are if it kills me, Supergirl because I’m not dating NDAs before I date you.”
Kara blushes as she lets Lena pull her along, a blush fixed to her cheeks. She’s never been so glad to be trapped in an enclosed space, and if she didn’t make it back to the office that day, well that’s nobody’s business but her own.
Difference of Taste
Scene: From the tv show Wednesday
Characters: Kara Danvers, Lena Luthor, and Teschmacher from Supergirl
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 750
A/N: This is for the Rewrite Challenge hosted by @choicesprompts This is a rewrite of a scene in the Wednesday tv series using Supergirl characters.
Summary: Lena and Kara have a difference of opinion of their room and what it means to be roommates.
Lena stared at the multicolored window in the room that she shared with Kara. She winced at the display. It looked like candy exploded everywhere. She sighed and took out a black tap and divided the room in half even the window. On her side, she started peeling the multicolored plastic off of the window. By the time she was almost finished, Kara had arrived back to the room.
“Hey, what are you doing to my room?” asked Kara looking miffed.
“I thought this was our room. Your side of the room looks like it is covered in unicorn vomit.”
“You can’t just make changes to the room without saying….”
“Shush. I need silence.” said Lena walking to her desk with the typewriter.
“Silence for what?”
“I take an hour out of my day to write my novel. If you put in half as much time on your blog, it could be at least half coherent. I read mental patients journals more coherent than your work.”
“At least I am doing something that I love in my own voice” said Kara pouting.
“You say that like it gives you any prestige” mused Lena.
“I have tons of followers that love my content and eagerly await for me to produced more.”
“Yes, you have moronic readers that are only able to understand the small icons you post.”
“You mean emoji’s? People use them to express their feelings.” said Kara baffled.
“And?”
Kara chuckled, “I forgot having feelings is a foreign concept to you”
“The following emojis come to mind when I think of you: bottle, barf face, skull and crossbones.”
Kara looked shocked as Lena headed back to her desk.
“By the way, if you are going to continue to gossip about me on your blog, you should know that Luthor is spelled with or instead of er. It would give your writing more integrity if you got the subjects name spelled right.”
As Lena started to type, she heard the beginning of Respect by Aretha Franklin playing in the background. Lena turned around and saw Kara dancing like a moron to the song.
Lena got out of her chair and slowly started walking to Kara and said, “Turn that off.”
“I can’t hear you” smirked Kara while continuing to dance.
Lena narrowed her eyes and raised her hands. Around her hands started forming a magical orb.
“If you don’t turn that off…”
Kara turned to stare directly at her, but now her eyes were glowing red.
“I would be careful of what you say next. I don’t want to accidentally cause you to pop, now do we” said Kara smiling wickedly.
The two girls glared at each other before they heard a knock at the door. They quickly stopped their powers and turned off the music just as an older woman entered the room.
The woman stood in front of the door and said, “I am so sorry for introducing myself to you so late this evening. The plants were being in particularly finicky about their food source today. Did I interrupt anything?”
Both girls shook their heads.
“Ah perfect!”
The older woman walked to Lena and said, “It is a pleasure to meet you Lena. My name is Eve Teschmacher. I am the room mom for this dorm. I always present the new girls with a flower that I think that best represent their personality.”
Ms. Teschmacher produce a black flower from behind her back.
“A black dahlia” mused Lena.
“Ah, you have heard of it.”
“Of course. It reminds me of my favorite unsolved mystery. I love it!”
“Perfect! I see that you have already met Kara. I hope she has been showing you the ropes.”
“Kara has been very hospitable during my time here. I hope to return the favor by making her my favorite sleeping potion. Hopefully, it can give her a long, long, night sleep.”
Kara looked at Lena warily.
“Ok…. Well, there is a couple of rules that I want to go over before I take my leave. Lights out at 10pm, no boys under any circumstances in the dorms, and keep your magic and laser beams to yourselves.”
Both girls stared at her startled.
Ms. Teschmacher chuckled and said, “Don’t think i didn’t see how you two were behaving before I got here. I expect both of you to at least respect one another during your time here.”
Ms. Teschmacher then smile and left while Kara and Lena stared at each other baffled.
Oh man this the way home AU is so great. I love love the idea of Lena having her birth mother there with her, she deserves having someone who is just hers and Elizabeth would love her so much!
Like Kara has so many people who loves her, family, friends and the show kept giving her back nearly everyone she lost, besides having a super loving adoptive family and super loyal friends she got her mother, father, Argo, even her first love turning out to be alive but poor Lena, was like every new thing about her just sucked!
She got a better relationship with Lillian and then crisis happened and she got a different mother (a worse one imo) we learned Lex was manipulating her from the start so she never ever had a brother who loved her, when she found out about her birth mother instead of finding maybe some distant family or some people who loved Elizabeth and would love her, nope, like the entire town hated her mother and treated Lena like the devil spawn lol and the only person who had something kind to say about Elizabeth was this weird lady who lived hidden in a cave! Like come on, having her mom back who would always put her first would definitely be what Lena deserved!
Crisis definitely cheapened Lillian's death scene. I mean, so did the magic thing, but still. I would have loved to see Lillian reach out to Lena when Lex cut Lillian out after the love totem debacle.
Oh man, I know I've played with Lena being involved with the love totem and getting abducted along with Esme, cueing lots of Luthor drama, but imagine what would have happened if Lillian found out Lex had kidnapped his own sister. Her daughter.
Imagine the quiet conversations Lillian and Lena could have had while Esme was sleeping. "You love her," Lillian might observe.
"I do," Lena confirms easily. She has no shame in it.
Lillian smiles wryly. "You always did manage to find a lost thing to care for."
"Esme isn't lost. Not anymore. Not even here. Her mothers are coming for her."
"But not for you?"
Lena's answering smile is dark, ready to grind salt into Lillian's wounded pride.
"We both know someone else will be coming for me."
wc: 571 sad, sad words. i’m so sorry guys.
[ UNSENT ]:     a letter written for the recipient, but which the writer ultimately never sends for reasons that the writer conceals, or may reveal within the letter itself. ( @soulprompts wrote this meme and I saw it and I HAD TO SUPERCORP IT! )
Read the Tags. This has Major Character Death!!!
My Very Dear Lena,
This letter shall not be given to you if I can manage it. But just in case I can’t stop this from happening, I wanted to give you a letter that would show you how inexplicably sorry I am. I didn’t --- don’t want to leave you ever, in any way--- much less in the painful termination of my own life.
That being said, the world is unpredictable and I am constantly in danger, you know this now. You know this better than anyone else, except maybe Alex. I’m worried that you know it all too well. That’s neither here nor there in this letter. Right now, I just need you to know you’re a good person.
I love you, Lena Luthor-Danvers, in ways that I thought unimaginable until I met you. I know the odds were against us, and I know that you were so scared for so long but... We did it, didn’t we? We --- at the time I’m writing this letter, we have two beautiful children. Kenzie and Lukas are my whole world, just like you are. I can’t imagine raising them with anyone else. Saving you, no.... Knowing and loving you has been the best decision I’ve ever made.
So, not to be sappy or something that you pretend to hate, I have to quote a song. You know I do. Well, okay, paraphrasing works too..... If I must die sweetheart, know that your life was my life’s best part.
I love you Lena. You have always been the sun for me.
Love,
your wife.
P.S. It’s still a blessing to be considered yours, even if I’ve been such from the beginning.
As Lena finished reading the letter, she swiped at her eyes. She knew what it stood for. Kara wrote this letter two years ago, but it was now delivered to her by none other than an older Alex Olsen-Danvers. Alex’s face was grief stricken and she had tears rolling down her face.
“Do Kenzie and Lukas know?” Their children were now twelve and fifteen, respectively. Lena had no illusions of how hard this would hit. Kara had been the battleship to fight all the wars --- and win. And now she was returning home to be placed as a flag on the mantle. Supergirl would live on in Kenzie, but there would be no one to replace the warmth in Lena’s life, in her bed. In her heart.
Lena cleared her throat. “No.” Alex said softly. “We thought you’d want to be there for that.” It’s obvious that Alex was not holding up much better than Lena was. Lena stiffened, nodding. “Thank you, she would want that too.” she said. Yes. That’s what Kara would have wanted.
Her family together, safe.
Yes. That’s what Kara had died for.
And as Lena walked to the car that would take her to break her child’s heart in an irreversible way, Lena rubbed Alex’s back. “You did the best you could.” she didn’t need to know the whole story to comfort her sister-in-law. The Danvers sisters were the unbreakable bond. It wouldn’t even shake now, after death.
“I’m so sorry, Lena.” Alex whispered. “C’mon, we’re getting you to the safe house. The kids are already there.” Alex said in a hushed tone. “Alright.” Lena felt like she was in some sort of alternate reality. There was no place safe now. Kara was gone.
