hear me out vampire x vampire hunter ffxv au.....
nyx is a vampire, his village was attacked. His mother was killed but him and his sister were bitten but they managed to get away.... but his sister couldn’t handle it...so she didn’t make it.
Nyx was struggling but he could control his urges, he was actually taken in by a vampire hunter, Regis. He is head of his clan...he knew Nyx was a vampire but took him in anyway because he saw the potential. It came with its ups and downs but Nyx became in debt to him and promised to watch over his son.
Nyx watches over Noctis to keep him safe and out of trouble, which comes with its troubles because its Noctis we’re talking about... He has prompto and the boys to get him in/out of trouble.
poor nyx has his work cut out for him, god forbid its a new moon...and thats when he has to go away from everyone because his urges get alittle wild. He also suffers with trauma from his village and sister too... oof
aside from angst, vampire nyx acting as a vampire hunter and body guard to protect Noctis. And he has to fight other vamps, werewolves and other dark entities...but he prevails.
sliding in my oc because reasons,
she’d be a vampire hunter/ mercenary, she was tasked with kidnapping the prince for money. She was bored and had nothing better to do so she accepted it, course she didn’t count on running into nyx.
They crossed blows and she found out he was a vampire, of course she lost their little battle and was locked up. He later comes and questions her, why didn’t she snitch on him.
she simply states that would be a dirty win, she could have done that....but she likes fair fights. though human to vampire fight...isn’t really fair.
stuff happens and she gets a chance to redeem herself, but she’s warned and she blows it off. Noctis’s home is attacked and things happen.. Noctis is taken and Nyx’s little secret is blown..but not by her.
so thus begins a quest of nyx, my oc and few dorks as they try to retrieve noctis.... Oh yeah prompto has collected a shite ton of garlic and stakes so just incase nyx tries something he’ll stabby stabby.

Gladio: Sora is just like Prompto.
Ignis: That he is. And a little like Noctis.
Noctis: I wish he knew better then to run off with out a word.
Ignis: I could tell you both gave that to him.
Noctis: I-No arguing with you is worse.
Ignis: Indeed. Vanitas.
Vanitas: *Fear activate* Yes?
Ignis: Watch your language.

Some of my Pokémon Canon X OC Couples
Valentine's Day Special !
Tumblr media
Here are some of my Pokémon OC's ships ! (some because 2 of them are missing. I don't know who to ship them with yet).
Barbara Mallow X Hélia (Pokémon Sun OC) :
Two young women with solar energy. They are always seen smiling in public to bring you joy. They are always here to help people and help each other out when they have a harder time.
Associated Song : Lovers on the Sun by David Guetta ft. Sam Martin
Luna X Mizuki (Pokémon Moon OC's) :
Yes I have two Pokémon Moon, so what ?! (thanks to my cousin xD). So what's better than putting them together after all ? Since they, you know, represent the exact same game. Mizuki's strong attitude is really something for Luna. She feels safe by her side as she is very quiet. But also very cute and boys want her, not knowing that she is with another girl.
Associated Song : Talking to the Moon by Bruno Mars
Gladio Lusamine X Sélène (Pokémon Ultra Sun OC) :
The one girl that managed to make Gladio smile more often. Sélène just wanted to put a huge smile on the boy's face. However, her sassy attitude can be a little iritating.
Associated Song : Cool for the Summer by Demi Lovato
Rosemary Piers X Solana Shielmilia (Pokémon Sword OC) :
Two quiet girls, but for different reasons. Rosemary is not very talkative, but Solana's not even really human ! She can only use a few words to communicate. Even if she knew the truth, Rosemary would probably not let go of her : she understand her so very well...
Associated Song : SpecialZ by King Gnu
Kassis Kieran X Loreleÿ Carmine (Pokémon Scarlet + DLC OC) :
From strangers into friends, from friends to siblings, from siblings to ennemies, and from ennemies to lovers. Loreleÿ immediately fell in love for the young boy, she found him too cute and pure. Little did she knew how bad it would turn after the Ogerpon event. However, she never stopped loving him and helped him no matter what. The Terapagos battle was the moment that made Kassis realized how much he loved Loreleÿ. After all, he almost lost her...
Associated Song : Seasons by Rival ft. Cadmium & Harley Bird
Pepper Arven X Juliana Aceituña (Pokémon Violet OC) :
Two very different personalities. But still impossible to imagine without one another. Juliana didn't hesitate at any moment to help Pepper with his friend Mabostiff and going straight into Area Zero. Pepper found more than what he could imagine in Juliana, although she can be a little too excited sometimes...
Associated Song : Remedy by Alesso

Summer Reading/Writing/Arting Tag!
I’ve been tagged by the lovely @thequeenofthewinter to take part in this tag game, thank you for the tag my dear friend ☺️💙
I’m going to offer this to anyone who wants to do it, but I will also personally tag… @andywinter16 @bostoniangirl21 @bougainvillea-and-saltwater @miraakulous-cloud-district @seradyn @wispstalk @savage-rhi and @hauntedadagium as is customary with my tags in these sorts of games, there is absolutely no pressure to do them yourself, and I hope you’re all having a good day 💙🌸
1) Describe one creative WIP project you’re planning to work on over the summer. Just one! *looks over to the list I have of current WIPs…* Ummmm… ok I’m in the early drafting of a new FFXV fic, it’s an OC fic, still currently untitled. My OC - Violet - is twin sister to Gladio, she is set to inherit the title of Marshal from Cor, so he trains her a lot more than most others. There are 2 main relationships that I’m going to be including in this fic, the first is OC x Nyx (I was going to do this as an OC x Ignis fic but I find it far easier to write Iggy as a friend) and Cor x Titus Drautos. Titus is going to be a major character in the story for various reasons (but not the main one that FFXV fans know him for, this version of Titus is not going to be Glauca, I have a lot of plans for that 😉)
2) Recommend a book. I must admit I haven’t read a book for ages! I need to start on Dawn of the Future, I might read that this summer 🤔 so I will recommend, The Stolen Throne, by David Gaider, I always seem to end up recommending this, but it’s so good! I really enjoyed reading it, it’s a Dragon Age novel but I think, it could be read by non Dragon Age fans, it’s a prequel to the main game series
3) Recommend a fic! Winter’s fics, both In The Midst of Winter and An Invincible Summer are absolutely amazing Skyrim fics, and the latter is one of the few I’m currently up to date with, the only other I’m currently up to date with is Twin Of The Chosen King, by rosapagina on AO3 it’s an OC x Nyx story that I’m really enjoying right now! I would love to recommend more and the lovely people I’ve tagged to play this game all have great stories and I wish I could recommend all of them, honestly, there are such talented people writing fan fics right now!
4) Recommend music! Hey I’m going to be predictable! The soundtrack for Final Fantasy 15 is absolutely incredible, it has so much variety, it goes from really quiet and emotional strings and piano (Somnus - Instrumental) all the way up to metal and disco/rave stuff, it’s stunning!
5) Share one piece of advice! If you don’t have inspiration to write, don’t force it! Otherwise it will turn out bad and it will annoy you, trust me, the last month has proven that to me

so, this is the first thing i’ve actually written in forever, lol. some context:
1. the story takes place during Chapter 8 of the game, which is different in my AU, since it’s when Ardyn confronts Stella. this is the aftermath of that.
2. i like to think of Stella’s mindset about herself here as a bit of foreshadowing for how Ignis later feels about himself in regards to his own injuries...something they have in common, that strengthens their bond during the World of Ruin.
hurt/comfort, Ignis Scientia x Stella Maris (Ignis x OC)
--
One, two, three sugars. That's way too many sugars, Ignis thought to himself as he carefully stirred the mug of coffee in his hand.
One, two, three days...that was how long they'd been out here. Since they'd resorted to camping again, their funds too short for a motel, or even a caravan, now. Not without skimping on curatives or fresh groceries, anyway, which Ignis absolutely would not allow. They needed to fall back into some sense of normalcy, he'd remarked to Gladio a few nights prior. Even if they were doing it out in the wilderness. Even if none of them really felt 'normal'.
And that was how Ignis found himself in this present situation, standing alone in front of the camp stove, mindlessly stirring Stella's coffee. The other three had left after breakfast with a list of mid-level hunts in tow, the collective rewards of which would hopefully earn them a hotel room in the near future, even if they all had to share it. For all his determination in wanting to keep everyone on track despite the circumstances, Ignis had failed to consider the sense of normalcy that came with a good shower. He'd practically kill for one right about now.
If he was going to be honest, though, it had been painfully obvious right from the beginning that Stella's recovery was going to take a lot longer than any of them wanted to admit. It wasn't just the mysterious wounds that ravaged her upper back; it was her apparent loss of touch with reality...for the first 48 hours or so, she'd barely even been able to remember where she was. Ignis could only guess that it had something to do with the way they'd found her...trapped atop a burning building, of all things. Almost too perfect. Almost as if whoever attacked her had known something...
Ignis shut his eyes and shook his head, forcing an end to that train of thought for probably the millionth time. He'd already considered every possibility at this point with no results; he was set to drive himself crazy if he kept it up. There was no sense in pondering answers until Stella herself could remember something. And, as of right now, she still hadn't.
He turned to her then, towards her small form that was currently hunched over in a chair on the far end of the haven. Her back was to him, covered by the blanket that he had loosely draped across her shoulders earlier that day, and her hair, all shades of maroon in the mid-morning light, fell over it in various messy curls.
To look at her now, he could almost convince himself nothing was wrong. It wasn't uncommon for Stella to nod off in the middle of the day; she was similar to her cousin in that way. Almost like a cat, Ignis thought to himself, and felt a small smile curl at his lips. ...And cats have nine lives, right?
Taking one last glance at the stove, Ignis set the spoon down on the table and made his way over to Stella, being careful not to startle her as he approached. His voice came out low, and a lot calmer than he was expecting, as he crouched down in front of her chair, the mug of coffee clutched between his hands.
"Stella. Are you awake?"
It took a moment, but the girl slowly stirred in her seat at the sound of his words, a hint of deep aquamarine peeking out from her heavy-lidded eyes as she tilted her head to look at him. Ignis released a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. Of course, she just dozed off. Everything is fine.
"Hi, Iggy." Stella's voice was softer than usual, and obviously still burdened by sleep. She shifted a little and winced, no doubt newly remembering the bandages that were snugly wrapped around her torso. Ignis had repeatedly done his best to make sure they weren't too tight, but he couldn't help worrying, especially now.
"How are you feeling? Does it hurt a lot?" Without thinking, he brought his hand to her forehead, relieved when she didn't seem feverish.
Stella, who normally loathed being fussed over, merely shrugged, most likely having already made peace with the abnormal amount of attention she'd been receiving for the past several days. "...I guess it already hurts as much as it's gonna hurt, right?" She managed a small smile as her eyes met his.
Ignis bit his lip, staring back at her with an abundance of concern. He hated this. To see her like this. And he hated how useless he felt. He'd be fretting over her regardless, but it wasn't any sort of solution to this problem. There was no solution, no one to blame for any of this...yet. And knowing that, being constantly aware of it, made every action on his part feel pointless. Stella wasn't herself. Nothing felt the same at all, not since what had happened. He often wondered if he was even getting through to the person he knew...and the mere fact that he had to wonder that, caused him so much more pain than anything else.
Remembering the mug in his hand, Ignis took a deep breath and collected himself. No sense in making it obvious how upset he was, how scared he was...it was the last thing Stella needed right now. Besides, it wasn't like there hadn't been any improvement...at least she seemed aware of her surroundings lately, which was more than he could say for the beginning of the ordeal. He had to hold onto the hope that she would be fine eventually, that the person he loved would make a full recovery. What else was there to do?
Gently taking one of Stella's hands in his, Ignis carefully handed her the mug, deliberately making sure she had a good grip on it before slowly pulling away. He watched as she steadied her hands around it, noting that she didn't seem to be trembling as much today. Progress, he reminded himself. Things will be okay.
"I made you coffee, the way you like it," he explained, as she brought the mug to her lips. "...Or, I guess I made you a cup of milk and sugar, and added some coffee at the end." He waited for her to finish drinking, and was relieved to see her smiling again, much more genuinely than the last time.
"Thanks, Iggy." Stella actually looked somewhat content, and she glanced around a bit. "...What time is it? Where are the others?"
"Out hunting. I told you before you fell asleep, remember?" He asked cautiously, hoping she actually did remember.
Stella nodded at that, staring down at her mug before taking another sip of coffee. "...So then, I missed breakfast?"
"It's alright," Ignis replied quickly, unwilling to admit that he hadn't exactly eaten, either. It would've felt too strange, eating alone while he waited for her to wake up. Both of their plates sat cold. "...I can fix you something for lunch instead. What would you--" He stopped abruptly when he realized she'd started crying.
It wasn't anything new at this point, but it still tore his heart apart to see it. Stella never cried. She prided herself on that, actually, despite years of his repeated attempts to explain to her why it was okay to cry, why it didn't have to be seen as a vulnerability. For the past week since she'd been injured, though, crying came easily to her. It was almost as if she was making up for lost time.
Ignis brought a hand to the girl's face, brushing a few of her tears away with his thumb. "...Hey...Stella, it's really alright. We'll eat lunch together, okay?" He could only imagine how unpleasant it must feel to constantly be fading in and out the way she had been...how frustrating to count on something and then find out you'd missed it, over and over, for days.
"That's not it," Stella turned away from his touch, bringing her own hand up to wipe at her still-flowing tears. "...I just...I hate that you've been stressing over me. Hate that you're always stressing over me. ...I must do this to you a lot, huh?" She tried to force a chuckle at the end, but it only came out as a weak sob.
Ignis froze, unsure of how to respond. He didn't consider it 'stress', really, and besides, it wasn't as if any of this was her fault. She couldn't help what had happened, what she'd been through. She was suffering more than any of them right now; the very least he could do was try and make things easier for her. When he looked at it like that, he couldn't call it 'stress'. He was stressed for her, maybe, but she wasn't the source of it. The whole situation was the source of it; the situation she had already been the victim of. He certainly didn't want her putting any blame on herself.
"It's just..." Stella continued, sniffling a bit as she stared down at her lap again, at the mug she still held in her other hand. "...Well, I'm useless now. I can't fight...I can hardly even walk. And you're all having to do everything, and..." She trailed off for a moment, attempting to compose herself. "...What good am I, as a Crownsguard, if I can't even protect Noct? Why am I even still here. That's how I feel."
Ignis opened his mouth to speak, before realizing he didn't even know where to begin. There were too many different ways to explain just how wrong she was, how misguided her views seemed to be. He couldn't imagine this journey without her...the past five years of his life, without her. Did she really believe that her presence meant so little? That she was only here to serve a specific purpose?
"...Probably..." Stella's voice was barely above a whisper now, tears falling steadily as she continued to stare down at her lap. "...Probably, you should all just leave me behind."
Without even stopping to think, Ignis found himself reaching for the girl, pulling her towards him so her head rested against his shoulder. Being mindful of her injured back, he ran a hand through her hair instead, closing his eyes tightly as he worked out what to say. "...Stella...that's not..." He drew in a shaky breath, trying as hard as he could to compose himself.
"I'm sorry," Stella murmured into his neck, taking a deep breath of her own as she attempted to calm herself down. "...I didn't mean to get so upset. I...I haven't been sleeping very well in the tent, and I think..."
"You haven't been sleeping?" Ignis cut her off without intending to, his concern growing. "Why didn't you say anything...?" He tried to remember if he'd noticed her awake at night, in the tent...if he'd heard her say something. He was usually the last to bed, but he had to admit he'd been exhausted lately...
"...W-well...it's just the ground...it's uncomfortable," Stella had seemed to relax against him now, for which he was grateful. She sounded like she had stopped crying, too. "...And I know Prom gave me an extra blanket, but...it's really hard...when you can't lay on your back..." She trailed off. Ignis wondered if she was falling asleep again right now. He sighed deeply, pressing a soft kiss into her hair.
"...You should have said something," he started. "...We would have figured something out..."
"I'm the reason we're out here," came Stella's immediate response. "You think I don't know? We're out of money. Because of me. Because I can't hunt and I'm dragging everybody down. Knowing that, how could I say anything? You all deserve to be able to sleep..." she snorted, almost sounding like her old self, just a bit.
Ignis took in another deep breath, trying to figure out how exactly he wanted to phrase what he needed to say. "...I...will make sure that you're able to sleep from now on," his voice was steady, for all the emotion behind it. "...But..." he hesitated, pressing another kiss into her hair. "...Please don't say such things...about yourself. About your place here. If it weren't for you...if you weren't here, I'd..." He cut himself short as he noticed the familiar sound of their three companions loudly making their way back up the path to the haven. "...I will make sure you're able to sleep," Ignis repeated, before realizing Stella had already met him halfway.
--
Late that night, Ignis followed his usual routine as he made his way around camp, seeing that the fire was completely out and gathering any discarded bottles or utensils leftover from dinner. The evening had been mostly uneventful, and everyone was relieved to know this would be the last night they'd be spending outside, at least for now...the day's hunts had brought in more than enough money for a hotel room, and the group would be setting off come morning.
Taking one last look around, Ignis slowly headed towards the tent, crawling inside carefully so as not to wake anyone. He'd already been able to hear Gladio's snoring for quite some time now, but Noctis and Prompto didn't seem bothered by it; he could tell they were both sound asleep.
His focus then turned to Stella, who was curled up at the far end of the tent, on top of her sleeping bag and at least two blankets. He'd no doubts she was awake, now that he'd stopped to consider it; nothing about sleeping on your stomach on the ground could possibly be comfortable. Ignis took his place beside her, his voice barely above a whisper, just in case.
"Stella...are you awake?"
Her eyes opened then, just a bit, and she nodded slightly before closing them again.
Ignis got himself situated in his own sleeping bag, adjusting the blankets around him before reaching over and lightly tapping Stella's arm. She opened her eyes once more and stared at him quizzically; he wondered if she remembered his promise from earlier.
Nodding towards himself as if to say come here, Ignis gently grabbed hold of Stella's arm, helping to pull her up onto his chest so she lay across him. It took her a moment to get comfortable, but it wasn't long before he felt her sigh against the crook of his neck, and a faint smile danced across his lips.
"...Better?" He asked softly, running his fingers through her hair. He hummed as he felt her nod in response, and then closed his own eyes, finally feeling like he may get some decent sleep, as well.
The next day, they both slept until noon.

by TheMaidofLight22 A woman with the face of their friend is captured after attempting a coup upon the future king and his guardians. Working alongside daemons, seemingly controlling them, she nearly struck down the team. Her power was subdued by their loyal Shield, who was able to knock her unconscious. They agreed to keep her, but contain her into a cage in the Hammerhead garage. While not the most civil way to handle her, it is the only solution they can fix up before she comes to. She is fierce, primal and raw. Shockingly, she is well read, educated and knows how to speak their language despite having an beastly complex. Gladio confides in her, showing her he is not afraid. She begrudgingly admits to him her name: Chrome Animalia. With that single gesture, her memories of a better life come back to her, before she was taken and tainted by Niflheim. As time passes in her cage, she slowly reveals her story to him. Together, they determine to unveil the secrets of her past. Riddled with guilt, trauma and grief, Chrome gradually warms up to the four. But can she be trusted? Will she continue her senseless violence against the four, to appeal to the Empire? My OC, Aurelia Lucis Caelum that somewhat got neglected because I moved fandom. But she deserved some daylight too.
Tumblr media
She's the older sister of Noctis, and she is 23 during the storyline, which puts her in the same age as Gladio. Spent her childhood/teen days homeschooled beside Ignis and Altus (OC, which has the same role of Ignis to Noctis, he's 4 years older than her).
A bit cold unless she is with noctis, Clarus basically acts as her parent as Regis is busy, and ended up growing with Clarus' influence and became a politician at age 14, slowly becoming adept at it when she was 16. What naivety she had was balanced by Nyx's sour and pessimistic self, who acts as her personal bodyguard (and teaching her more agile-dancelike knive-fighting style of the glaives since her body is smaller than Noctis)
Betrothed to Gladio when she was 15, had experienced High School when she was 16, saw Gladio kissed a girl a few weeks after she started school and return to homeschooling soon after while putting their engagement on halt.
Courting with Ignis not long after, but that doesn't last because this time instead of Noctis the Heir who was appointed as a bargaining chip, she was betrothed to Ravus instead, as Luna is the Heir of the Oracle and Ravus and Aurelia are the secondary choices of both sides.
Her circle basically consists of Altus (OC), Nyx and occasionally Cor and Clarus (if the need arises) or Gladio (during their engagement period)
And in this universe, Nyx and Ravus are alive. The rest is still on a draft and I don't know if it would appear as a fanfic.

Gladiolus Amicitia- Cold Sheets.
REQUEST FROM PROMPT LIST- RIGHT HERE!
For those asking about a masterlist, I’m working on it!
This contains- Implied Smut!.....YEAH!
Leggo!
...
After months and months of forcing yourself to get over him, you couldn’t stop yourself from answering the phone just once. Just Once. After what seemed like hundreds of screaming matches, and glass breaking, you’ve had enough. You didn’t want to leave, but you had no choice. Now, all this time later, you see his name appear on your phone screen. Well, the new name you set for him.
‘That little weasel’
You were bored, with nothing to do on a Saturday evening. You weren’t expecting him to call, let alone think of you after all these months. He certainly couldn’t look you in the eye when you walked away, what made him come around now?
You held your breath, all you could do was just that. You shakily pressed ‘answer.’
“Hello?”
Good, you had managed to sound halfway calm in the slightest.
“Y/N.” you heard his low gruff voice respond. He sounded a little tired. That was fair, you had been tired for way too long. The way his voice slurred and rasp made it clear he wasn’t prepared to call you.
“Gladio.” you said in the same tone. “Is there something I can help you with?” You asked nonchalantly. “It’s late.”
“Y/N.” he sighed. “H-how are you?” Gladiolus didn’t know what to say, he was quite literally put on the spot. “Is everything...y’know, good?”
“Yeah.” you partially lied. “I’m fine. How about you?”
“Um..I’m okay.” Gladio replied, sighing heavily. Total lie. He was a mess. He had been for the last four months. He had to be threatened by Noctis that he would call you himself if Gladio didn’t. “I just wanted to check in.”
“You had four months to check in on me.” you raised an eyebrow at your phone. “What’s the real reason you called?” you asked. “Don’t lie to me.” you seethed.
“Y/N...”
“...I’m sorry.” you mumbled. “I didn’t mean to-”
“No, I deserve it.” he cut you off. “I deserve worse, actually.”” he added. “I’m an idiot.”
“Yeah you are.” you weren’t gonna tell him he wasn’t just to make him feel better. He actually kind of was an idiot. “A total idiot.” you mumbled. “What do you want?”
“Y/N...I’ve been a mess.” he sighed. “I-I can’t sleep, I can’t do anything without you crossing my mind.” he revealed. “Even after all this time.”
“Oh, now you’re thinking of me? What happened when you couldn’t even look in my direction?” you snapped. “Want to tell me that?! Or maybe when you began taking out your petty issues on me? Or how about when you told your friends that you sometimes feel like you regret ever having been with me? How about that?!” you poured your heart out.
“Y/N, you left me with nothing more than a picture frame-” Gladio tried to say.
“I didn’t leave because I wanted to, I left because you made the choice for us.” you glowered. “You made your bed, and I made you lay in it.” you said. You wished you could slap him right now.
“I know and I’m the biggest idiot on the planet.” he replied.
“We’ve established that.” you cut him him. “I didn’t want to leave.” you said again. “..I felt like I had to.” With Gladio having snapped on you for no reason in the past, ignoring you, even going as far as to call you ‘clingy and annoying” when he thought you weren’t listening, you definitely had to.
“I made you leave.” Gladio sighed into the phone. “I was- damnit- Y/N could you ever forgive me? I’m so sorry, I-” you heard him sniff.
“What are you thinking?” You asked suddenly, since he had went quiet.
“I’m looking at a picture...of us.” he replied. “That one time Prompto had captured us swimming by that waterfall. Do you remember that?”
“How could I forget?” You chuckled. “You literally grabbed me from behind and ran into the water.”
“...Hm..It was almost the day I told you I loved you for the first time.” he said, which caught you by surprise.
“You remember that?” you asked a little too quickly.
“Hm, of course I do. You were literally jumping and tripping over everything trying stay calm. I even remember you telling me to say it again and again until you fell asleep in the car.” he chuckled deeply. “Best day ever.” he mumbled. “Too bad I screwed it up.”
“No...you didn’t.” you found yourself saying. “I miss you Gladio.” you hadn’t realized a few tears had fallen.
“Y/N, could you ever forgive me? All I’m asking is one more chance.”
“...One more chance.” you repeated. “I missed you so much.” you sniffed.
“No, no crying.” Gladio gave a breathy laugh. “You should hear my heart right now.”
“You should hear mine.” you replied, giggling. Maybe you were a big dummy, but you didn’t care. A weird silence befell you both. Neither of you knew what to say.
“You still there?”
“Mhm.”
“What are you thinking?”
“Of you.” he replied. “Of everything. Damnit. I want to see you so bad, right now.” you heard his voice rasp. “So, So bad.”
“Then why don’t you hurry up already.” you replied breathlessly.
“I’ll be there in five minutes, not a second less.” he said lowly. “And when I get there, you and me are gonna make up for lost time.”
....
You heard a banging on the front door. The sudden noise almost made you jump, even though you knew exactly who it was. You looked down at your phone. 4 minutes and 32 seconds. Hm impressive.
You ran to the door, looking through the peephole. Your prediction was right, Gladio was standing there, breathing heavily. Did he run all the way here?! You opened the door to stare.
“Y/N...” he said breathlessly. You had looked even better than when he last saw you. You were definitely a sight for sore eyes, even when you first met. You were just lucky you had decided to wear real clothes and not the same four year old pajama bottoms you had been wearing for the past week and a half.
“Gladio...” you whispered.
“I missed you so muc-AH!”
Before you could even register what you were doing, you had slapped Gladio right across the face. All that pent up rage, you were surprised you didn’t sock him in the nose.
“...I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to do that!” you tried to reason with yourself. “I don’t know where that came from, I swear.”
“No...I deserved that.” Gladio waved it off. “You should be slamming the door in my face right now.” he looked down. “Damnit I missed you.” he stepped forward and engulfed you in his arms, hugging you close to his chest.
Was this real? It felt like a dream, a dream that you were more than happy to not want to wake up from. Gladio, your Gladio was back. You were in his arms and everything felt right.
But could you go back to the way things were? With how you left everything, how you both left with unfinished words...
“I know what you’re thinking.” Gladio interrupted your thoughts. “Please. Don’t think about it, the past. It’s done. It never happened.”
But it did. It did happen. The question was could you get over it?
“It did happen.” you shook your head. “You can’t pretend it didn’t. Not after what I had to hear.” you shook your head.
“I’m sorry. I hate myself for saying all of those things and I wish I could take it all back. I love when you always want to be around me, I could never be annoyed by you. You aren’t clingy.. I love you Y/N.”
You looked up at Gladiolus, uncertainty in your eyes. You felt his warm hands run through your hair, his fingertips gently scratching the back of your head. You relaxed into his touch, releasing a shaky breath. You couldn’t control yourself.
“Gladio.” you whimpered.
“We can go as slow as you want. I just want you with me again. Even if it takes forever to get your forgiveness.” he whispered.
“Gladio...” you whispered again., grabbing onto his shirt collar. “Just shut up already” you moaned lowly before pulling him towards you to crash your lips over his. Gladio wrapped his arms around your waist, sliding his tongue through the gap in your lips to meet your own tongue.
“I take it you missed me too.” he mumbled between kisses. “Hm, that’s fine by me. I’ve been waiting for the day I could have you back in my arms.” His gathered the fabric of your sweater in his fist. He had a mind to rip it off your body right then and there.
Gladio decided to take charge and lift you up, wrapping your legs around his waist and carrying you inside. He shut the door, pushing you against it. You didn’t care about anything else in this moment.
“So you still got it in you or do you still need breaks in between?” you joked, playing with the ends of his hair.
“That’s pretty big talk when I’ve got your tongue between my teeth.” he chuckled. “Weren’t you the one who had to stop at round three?”
You ignored his comment, pulling at his shirt which signalled that you wanted it off. Gladio caught on and shrugged off his shirt, free himself of its restraint
“Shut up. Bedroom.” you heaved.
“Hm. As you wish.” he took you away from the door and began walking across the living room, shedding you of your own layers in the process. Gladio landed kisses on every area of your neck he could reach, your jaw, your temples, your neck.
You were practically thrown on the bed just as Gladio bursted into your bedroom. He frantically crawled over your body, crashing his lips over yours again. He pinned your hands above your head gazing down at you. He kind of looked like he was on a high. His partially hooded eyes gazing down at your form. “God-damnit I love you.” he whispered. “Let’s make up for lost time, yeah?”
(Next Morning)...
“Psstt, Wake up.”
“No.” you whined.
“Come on babe.”
“Begone!” you yanked the covers over your head.
“Y/N.”
“NOOOOO!!” You groaned. You begrudgingly opened your eyes. “I’m sleepy.”
“Well you gotta wake up, babe.” you felt a kiss on your temple. “please?”
You stared over at Gladio, who was wide awake. “Morning beautiful.”
“Were you watching me?” you raised an eyebrow, yawning loudly.
“Yeah, it’s been a while since I got to sleep next to you.” he said sheepishly. “Now get up!”
“Whyyy?” you whined, sitting up.
“Because I’m gonna show you off. I’m gonna let the whole world know you’re never leaving my side.” he kissed your forehead. “Ever again.”
“Can’t we do that later?” you ran a hand through your hair.
“Hm...no.” he shook his head like a child. “I want everyone to know I’m proud to call you mine...and I want to get a headstart.” he pecked your lips.
“Alright alright.” you sighed, chuckling. You swung your feet over the edge of the bed only to stumble and trip right onto your butt. “OW!”
“Ummm Y/N, You okay?”
“..I um...can’t walk.” you said sheepishly, causing Gladio to laugh. “Stop laughing! This is your fault!” you whined. “Help me!”
Gladio rolled off the bed and scooped you up into his arms. “How bout a shower?” he winked.
You were finally back in his arms and him in yours. You’d never have to worry about cold sheets again.

Not sure if I'm from the fandom your "Guard and Glaive" work is from, but the name really caught my eye! I'd love to hear more of it nonetheless! 😄
I don’t think you are in the fandom for this one, it’s Final Fantasy 15, but I’d be more than happy to talk about it ☺️
Sorry if it comes off to some as a little patronising but I want to explain this fic to people who are not in the fandom 💙
My OC is twin sister to one of the games main characters - Gladio Amicitia - her name is Violet she’s 6 foot tall (her whole family is pretty tall) with the same dark brown hair and amber eyes that her brother and younger sister - Iris - have. She lives in the Lucian capital city of Insomnia, with her siblings and her father - Clarus.
Her story revolves around her family’s duty to protect the royal family (with her father and brother being personal guards to the King and Prince respectively) her duty is to take over the position of Marshal (head of the City guard) when her godfather - Cor Leonis - retires. That is all she has known, training to one day take the position…
But…
Obviously plans and training are all well and good, but the Crown City of Insomnia falls to the enemy in a massive attack that cost the lives of hundreds of people (even some she cares about) so once Violet and some friends and family have escaped the city she goes on the long journey with the Prince, her brother and other close friends to fulfill the prophecy revolving around the Prince.
This story follows the main storyline of the Kingsglaive film and the full FFXV game (and DLCs) with a couple of tweaks in the story (some people stay alive in my story who die in game, one in particular is a good guy when he’s a major antagonist in the film, little things like that)
It also has some content before the canon events happen, some relationship development between family and friends some context to motives etc
Guard and Glaive is so named because of the 2 main relationships I will be writing about in this story are Violet (a Guard) x Nyx Ulric (a Glaive) and Cor Leonis (a Guard) x Titus Drautos (a Glaive)
I’m very excited to share this… just need to write it now 😅

All by yourself
A respected doctor in Insomnia. You love your job, but it seems like it sabotages everything else. Gladio's return to your life comes unexpectedly and helping Prince Ravus with his new prosthetic arm is quite a task, but finding balance seems the most difficult of your challenges. Especially in your love life.

The Vanguard - Chapter 7
Happy Holiday Season, y’all. I’ve been doing some writing that I’ve forgotten to post. I’ve got a few things up my sleeve I hope to have up over the season. Hopefully, the girls will be back in full force along with a new story that I intended to be one chapter per Chocobro but probably will be longer because my brain takes off sometimes.
Get ready for angst and backstory.
XXX
Eirwen had been silent since the incident several hours before. Gladio had steered her away from the training area of the Citadel and into the back garden in hopes the quiet and seclusion would give her some peace. For hours he had watched her pace, absently trailing fingers over the stone walls and leaving a trail of ice behind her. Finally unable to watch her self loath any longer, Gladio had dared to speak and ask her where she wanted to go. Her answer had been a vague “anywhere that’s not here” before he had handed her his extra helmet and they sped off through the busy streets of Insomnia. She had followed him almost blindly until she heard him rattle his keys as he opened the door to his apartment - conveniently across the street from the building Prince Noctis had recently taken up residence.
The apartment was entirely decorated in dark leathers, navy blue, and dark wood. Photos of scenic mountain views and pictures of his family were scattered along the walls. “This is...impressive,” Eirwen paused as she caught sight of the floor to ceiling custom shelves that housed an incredible number of books - most bound in hardbacks with titles covering subjects ranging from history to culture to largest number of war and strategy books she had ever seen outside of that section in the Citadel library. She also noted the fair number of fiction books scattered throughout and couldn’t help but see that more than one seemed to be romance novels. Trailing her finger over their spines, she was shocked to see how immaculate the collection was - no creases or signs or weather and absolutely not dust to be seen.
Keys clattered somewhere behind her as Gladio deposited them into the bowl by the door and removed his heavy boots. “Bit of a hoarder when it comes to books. Coffee or tea?”
Pulling an old leather-bound tomb from the shelf, Eirwen scanned the pages of a guerilla warfare strategy written in Ancient Lucien. “Milk?”
“Coconut.”
Nodding, Eirwen carefully thumbed through the yellowing pages. “Coffee, then.” Various sounds of cabinets opening and shutting and then of a brewing coffee pot filtered around her as she scanned the old runes advising on the importance of partners and scouting teams.
Minutes late, Gladio handed her a steaming cup of fresh coffee that was just the right shade of dark caramel. He took up residence on the couch beside her, careful not to touch her but remaining close enough that she might know he meant to offer her comfort if she needed it.
Looking at her now, Eirwen looked nothing like the ice goddess she had appeared to be earlier in the day. Currently, her skin was flushed pink from worry and the heat of the coffee, her blue eyes bright with something akin to anger but without such force. She had tucked her legs under herself and curled into the corner of the couch as if trying to take up a strategic position to protect herself. Gladio had never witnessed such power before today - not even when King Regis had renewed the power that held up the wall protecting the city of Insomnia. It was incredible to think that any mortal could wield such power.
Exhaling, Eirwen closed the book with a sense of finality and caught the slight jump from Gladio out of the corner of her eye. Rubbing at her forehead, she forced herself to speak evenly. “You’re scared of me now?” She hoped she hadn’t sounded angry when Gladio was the only person who seemed willing and eager to listen to things from her perspective without jumping in and trying to give her advice. He was her partner in battle.
“Scared of you?” Gladio readjusted himself so that he more easily faced her but did his best to appear relaxed as he reclined his arms across the back and sipped his cooling coffee. “I’m not afraid of you, snowflake. I’m worried for you. There’s a big difference.”
A humorless laugh escaped her. Leaning forward, she twisted the length of her pale locks between her fingers and focused on controlling her emotions so as not to turn the Shield-in-Training’s apartment into a meat locker. “Don’t worry about me. I’m always ready for battle.” In fact, punching something sounded like a wonderful idea at the moment.
Finishing his coffee, Gladio deposited the cup onto the coffee table before making a show of giving her his full attention. “I’m not doubting your training and abilities - a few rounds with you on the training mats has proven you’re more than capable in that department. What happened earlier between you and Amira has me worried. I felt...whatever that was that you pushed out at her. I watched her freeze over. I saw your expression when you pulled yourself back out.” He didn’t ask her to explain, nor did he demand answers or promises that she wouldn’t do the same to him.
“I don’t know what to tell you, Gladio. I can’t explain it. It happened once, years ago. Amira…” trailing off, Eirwen raked her hands through her hair in frustration as if hoping to pull the words from her head. “It was like she
me when I was completely broken - or at least patched me back together. I wanted to try to do the same for her but I couldn’t find it, I couldn’t find what hurt her.” Tears of frustration threatened to spill from her eyes and she angrily wiped at them. “I couldn’t do the same for her. What good is this power if I can’t even protect the people I care about.” Forcing herself up from the couch, she marched over to the large window looking down on the busy streets below and pressed her forehead against the cool glass hoping to calm herself down. “She’s the only family I have.”
Silence rang out through the apartment. Distant sirens and the sounds of city life filtered between the two warriors to break up the deafening quiet. Gladio, for all his reading and knowledge in how to handle emotional trauma when related to combat, loss, and injury, was at a complete loss. Another not so well kept secret of the Twins: bad family relations. To his knowledge, Eirwen had none to speak of. In the file Cor had given him in preparation for his first mission with her, she was listed as a ward of the Citadel until she had become of legal age. Gladio, on the other hand, was fortunate enough to have an actual family.
“You don’t have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. I’ve got your back now, Eirwen - on and off the battlefield.” Gladio walked past her to the kitchen to put away the dirty dishes as he spoke, hoping not to make her feel pressured or closed in. “People care about you.” He had seen the way Crowe, Libertus, Pelna, and Nyx were with her and it was clear they had forged a bond that was deeper than camaraderie or friendship.
Across town and shaking from over exertion and residual tingles of forced magic, Amira leaned against the window from her perch. Purple lightning cracked in the distance each time her fingers twitched. It had been hours since the incident and she could still feel the sorrow in her heart left by Eirwen just before their connection snapped. The bone deep chill had left her almost as soon as it had arrived but now she felt oddly warm in a way that reminded her of post fever.
Nyx had been kind enough to make her a pot of gunpowder tea, piping hot and slightly bitter. She also vaguely noticed that he had switched on the radio to a low jazz to fill the ringing silence of her mind. He moved with familiarity and confidence in her home and she couldn’t help feeling both grateful and annoyed at the same time.
“You don’t need to stay.” She hated how quiet and weak her voice sounded but she felt the need to at least offer him a way out of the current situation. Other than Eirwen, she wasn’t really accustomed to anyone trying to take care of her even after her injury.
“And you don’t need to catch the flu pressed against the window, princess.” Nyx chuckled at the obscene hand motion Amira quickly shot his way and was relieved to see she seemed to be clawing her way back out of herself. “I’m not going anywhere until we figure this out.” When Amira opened her mouth to argue, he was quick to stop her and refocus her attention on the larger goal in hopes of getting her to face the current issue. “We’ll be called back into the field any day now and since you’ve been cleared, I need to know you’re in the right headspace.” If he couldn’t get her to consider the issue as a work-related problem, he would have no hope of getting her to open up about personal issues.
Nodding, Amira worried the warm mug between her fingers. “I told you, I felt something snap. I’ve never felt her so far away - not when we’re separated by thousands of miles.” Assuring her that the connection could be fixed, Nyx urged her to continue. “Whatever she was looking for...something seemed to break her heart.”
“I’m sure she’s just worried about you. The two of you have always had each other -” Nyx stopped short as his phone vibrated in his pocket. The only people that had his number were Glaives and other work associates and the only time it rang was due to some work related issue. Fishing it out from the pocket of his jeans, he was surprised to see Pelna’s name lighting up the screen. “Report,” he offered by way of greeting.
Amira watched and Nyx’s eyes narrowed slightly and his stubbled jaw clenched. Though Pelna couldn’t see him, he nodded several times and made agreeable noises to urge him to continue. After a few moments, Nyx ended the call and ran a hand over his suddenly weary face. This time, it was Amira who was concerned by the sudden quiet. “Seems we have a bit of work to do.”
“Pelna cracked the firewall and found some sort of list he immediately sent to Cor - who informed him that several emissaries from the Empire are planning a visit to attend the Foreign Relations Gala in a few days.” A crease had taken up residence on Nyx’s forehead as he repeatedly ran the conversation through his mind.
Shocked, Amira was silent for a moment as she processed the information. “They’re not planning a confrontation in front of a room of international dignitaries. Could they have realized that I copied that file?”
“There’s no way they’re that stupid. They’re up to something, though. Pelna also reported increased military activity at the northern border - encampments, patrol, the works.” Sighing, he leaned back against the counter and studied Amira closely. “Looks like the vacation is over.” He paused momentarily hoping to choose his next words correctly. “You’re not going to...like what I have in mind.”
Sighing, Amira pulled herself up from the window and stood to face her partner. “I rarely do,” she reassured him.
XXX
Unlike her Twin, Amira had grown up in what anyone on the outside looking in would consider a perfect home. Malcolm and Nadia Everet were the storybook couple - Malcolm hailed from one of the richest, self-made families in all Lucis while Nadia, coming from old Lucian nobility, had been raised as if she herself were next in line to the throne. When the two had married nearly three decades earlier, neither bride or groom had ever laid eyes on the other prior to meeting at the altar and both had approached the scenario as if it were a business transaction to further themselves and their families. When Amira had been born, she had instantly become the new bargaining chip for her parents and had been ushered through years of etiquette classes, ballroom dance lessons, advanced tutoring, fashion and beauty seminars, and all the formal parties her parents could drag her to. Amira had grinned and curtsied through it all, praying to the Six for a way out.
Things had remained tortuously the same until her fifteenth birthday. For years, she had begged her parents to allow her to train with her paternal uncle and member of the Royal Kingsguard, Declan - her justification being that she should know how to defend herself should her pedigree ever put her in harm’s way. Finally, after much pressure from her uncle, her parents had relented and allowed her to train two days a week for a few hours in place of the cardio workout her personal trainer had devised for her. Immediately, she had fallen in love with the raw violence and unstructured chaos that came from physical combat and had shown real promise for someone so young. Her uncle worked with her continuously had been able to nearly ensure her a position within the guard after her college graduation, even going so far as to go against her parent’s wishes for her by involving King Regis himself. She couldn’t have found anything more removed from her original life if she had tried - or at least she had thought until her training accident had sealed her fate.
Uncomfortable falling back into bad memories, Amira kept fidgeting in her seat and pulling at the garment she had hoped she would never wear. The couture gown had been stashed away in its original box since her parents had sent it to her over a year ago in hopes of enticing her back into the spotlight her family thrived in. The saving grace was that the dress was at least mostly black. Made of the highest quality black satin and an overlay of organza, the floor length gown possessed a custom fitted corset with an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline that dipped between her breasts exposing a bit more skin than she felt entirely comfortable with. The draped split sleeves fell beyond her wrists, perfectly displaying the tattoo of delicate roses twisting and blooming down her arm, and a careful slit ran up the long skirt to her mid thigh on one side. Hand embroidered gold applique leaves and vines decorated the bodice and skirts while the sleeves and trims were encrusted with shimmering gold glass beads. She had paired the dress with a pair of black designer pumps with a scarlet bottom adorned with a criss-crossing straps that buckled just above the ankle and glittering gold and diamond drop earrings. She’d had to buy new makeup as she had avoided wearing it as much as possible in recent years and had opted for a heavy-handed winged eyeliner and a dark plum lipstick.
“If you pull continue to pull at the dress, you’re going to end up ripping it before we get to the gala.”
Sighing, Amira arched a perfectly filled in brow at her uncle Declan who was comfortably dressed in his usual Guard uniform of black slacks and dress shirt. He’d only added a jacket and patent leather shoes to his daily ensemble. “You know how much I hate this. I thought by becoming a Glaive I could wipe my hands of all this.” Contempt leaked into her words as she studied her black and gold manicure.
Chuckling, Declan straightened his jacket and offered his niece a knowing grin. His salt and pepper hair mixed with the warm gold of his eyes had always made him so much more inviting than her father. “Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten how to walk in heels already? I thought we raised you better than that.”
Immediately, Amira flipped him off with her glittering gold-tipped finger and flipped her half pinned up hair over one shoulder. “Please. We both know I came out of the womb wearing a pair of six inch pumps.” Thankfully, the sleek black vehicle came to a stop and the back door was opened by a smirking hero. “Don’t start with me tonight,” Amira warned Nyx as she slid across the leather seats and carefully out onto the sidewalk before the Citadel.
Flashing lights erupted from either side of her. As if flipping a switch, Amira smiled for the photographers pushed back her shoulders until she felt the familiar ache beginning in her spine. Declan was quick to take up her elbow as he too paused to allow the paparazzi a moment to capture his image. As the two moved forward towards the grand entrance, Nyx moved to her other side as if to shield her from the cameras. Speaking quickly, Nyx spoke just loud enough for the two Everets to hear him. “Many of the foreign dignitaries have already arrived but no one has spotted anyone from the Empire yet. The others are posted up inside and I will be positioned to see the entire ballroom.” Holding out a gloved hand to Amira, Nyx offered her nearly perfectly clear earpiece. “Pelna just finished these this morning. Don’t worry about it not picking up your voice if you speak quietly, it’s been calibrated to your voice specifically.”
Declan ushered Amira through the glass door before heading to the elevator and pressing the correct floor. “I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but your parents are here and they would like to speak with you. Try not to get blood on the dress.”
Groaning, Amira thumped her head back against the onyx wall of the elevator during her brief moment of normalcy. Tonight, she was once again Amira Everet, heir to the Everet fortune and darling daughter of Malcolm and Nadia. Of course, they had not been briefed on the plan the Vanguard and the Kingsguard were to execute. To them, their daughter was finally coming to her senses. “Six, I am going to need an entire bottle of champagne.” She could already feel the headache beginning to bloom in her temple.
