Continued Thread from here W/ @adversityfought Jill groaned, as she leaned against the wall. Whoever sent this creature after them wanted to ensure neither Chris nor her made it out alive. Seemed to be a bloody pattern, and the other wondered why she kept an eye on him because of shit like this. The brunette reached into her pocket and pulled out her handgun, firing shot in rapid succession right into the ugly bastard’s eye. She honestly hated these things, they always had a tendency to never stay dead. Reminded her too much of Nemesis. Suddenly, her thoughts went to Chris words before she ran into this beast.
‘Ladies, first.’
It was a small gesture, but one she could tell the meaning behind right away. It was bittersweet, but still an echo from the past. Deep down, there was the Chris she knew. Even if things felt different, it hadn’t really changed. At least completely. He still cared, a lot more than he would ever admit. No matter how much he tried to push Jill away, she wouldn’t abandon him. Even if that meant being labeled as a traitor with the other. She cared for Chris deeply. So much, that it was slowly starting to consume her thoughts, made her questions things. Things shouldn’t have ended up this way, but they did, and there didn’t seem to be anything she could do to change his mind. Not that she ever would, this was something he had decided. Hands slowly clenched into fists, as the woman forced herself to run towards the creature. Vision blurred, as the creature grabbed her leg and spin her back towards another pillar. Everything ached, a feeling the agent knew all too well. How long had the two of them been fighting in this war? It seemed longer than it actually was, and over time things truly took their toll on each of them. They had lost so much, and yet here they were on two different paths. Would it surprise Chris that she considered the same thing as he had? That she too had seen how corrupt the BSAA was. It was a fact they both had avoided for years, but feeling replaceable really could toy with anyone’s mind.
Jill gasped, as one of the creature's arms stabbed her in the stomach. The spiked arm twisted until it ripped out, leaving a large trail of blood across the ground. Every inch of her wanted nothing more than to scream out in agony, but she knew doing so would only alert Chris. She had to give him time to finish the extraction. This was their only chance, and she wouldn’t ruin it. Felt like lately all the woman had done was make more problems for Chris. She was starting to see why he got annoyed with her being so close. They both were tempting fate here, but neither could find the courage nor strength to stay away from the other. Their fates so deeply intertwined, it seemed impossible to simply break away. Jill would never, it hurt too much to be away from Chris. It felt like someone had stabbed her in the chest, with every second she wondered if he was okay. Too many nightmares of him fading away from her sight.
Not again..
Jill hand reached out, as her side leaned against the pillar. Hopefully she bought him enough time, the data was important to Chris. Something he really needed, even if assisting him with this was essentially a betrayal. She winced, as the woman prepared for the end here. It was okay, as long as he made it out safely. That’s what mattered the most to her. Even if she could already hear him scold her slightly for being so reckless. A small smile appeared across her face. Blood clouded her vision, as the creature looked ready to lunge, but the attack never came, as it screamed out. Slowly, one eye opened to see the shadow of someone shooting at the creature. It didn’t take her long to already guess it was Chris. It looked like he had succeeded in retrieving the data, but probably was concerned what was going on out here. At least, he stayed there like she wanted and didn’t come to her aid before that. She would’ve felt worse if he had done that.
It didn’t take Chris long to finish the monster off, which was nice to know she had managed to take most of it down without someone else. Jill gasped, as she fell to her knees, blood dripping down her forehead and stomach. It didn’t look good, most of the blood splattered around the room was her own.
Tumblr media
“Is that any way to talk to a lady?..Please Don’t look at me like that…I’ll be fine. You need to get out of here before they show up. Leave me behind and finish the mission. That matters more than my life.”
The first part was an echo from the past, her way of telling him that things hadn’t changed either, nor would they ever. Jill winced, as she grabbed onto the nearby wall and pushed herself up. A sudden ache shot through her stomach, as she turned and coughed out blood onto the ground. Knees buckeld under her, as she tumbled into Chris arms. He noticed and managed to catch her but still had that mix of anger and concern in his eyes.
He’s probably going lecture me later about how stupid I was to engage this thing alone.
She wasn’t a doctor by any means, but it meant there was probably internal bleeding going on. At this point, she was merely a hindrance. Reaching across, she pushed against his chest, eyes serious.
“I want you to go. Leave me behind.”
At this rate, she would only slow Chris down, and at this point it didn’t seem like they could even get her to a proper place to treat her wounds. This was her fault, and now this was the woman consequence for being too cocky. Jill bit her bottom lip, as she shoved Chris away from her, just as a huge part of the roof came down between the two of them. He was near the exit, while Jill was trapped on the side with the creature. The entire place started to shake, as blood splattered out from the creature's body. A huge flower formed, before it opened to reveal the monster's second form.
Jill sighed, this was something she had expected to happen. Nothing really stayed dead anymore, which meant this thing had various forms. Seemed oddly similar to the lords and Mother Miranda. Could it be someone had cooked it up to reflect that mission too? Hissing, the agent, slowly dragged her body away from it. Fire started to surround the room, as the entire body crumbled around them. If Chris looked closely, he could see a light reflect off what looked like a necklace around Jill’s nape. It was the same one he had given her as a gift years ago. Simple but had its only sense of beauty.
Limping, Jill turned to look at Chris, eyes twisted with hidden pain but trying her best to remain strong. This wasn’t the end for him. She couldn’t let it be. No matter how much it hurt her to push him away. This was something she had to do.
“Chris…We’re partners, right? Trust me…You need to escape with that data. I promise I won’t be far behind.”
She smiled at him, the same one he had seen so many times when they were younger. The memories echoing from their S.T.A.R days. Everything seemed so easier back then, at least before things fell apart. For a time, they were happy. Their lives normal, and maybe even close to something else. Jill had pushed so many emotions away for years. After all, so many treated her like a tool. Experimented on her, pushed her away, and yet she still tried for a world that kept taking from them. How much more before it would be enough?
If only it had been me instead of you, Chris..maybe then you wouldn’t have to feel this much pain. To put on a mask to hide those emotions. To feel like the entire world is on just your shoulders.
Embers flew up around them, as Jill reached into her bag. It took her a moment before pulling out what looked like some kind of chemical. This was against every fiber in her body, but their last resort to survive this fight.
“I’m sorry, Chris..what I’m about to do is risky..if I can’t control myself. End me.”  Without heisting, she jabbed the needle into her arm. Brunette colored locks slowly changed to blonde, very similar to how she looked during the incident in Africa. The woman opened her eyes, as all the wounds on her body slowly started to heal. A part of Jill cursing herself for using this, but desperate times. She didn’t know how the other would react, or if he would even understand what was happening. The chemical she had shot into her body temporary reactive the T virus still lingering inside her body. The one that had last awoken while she was in a coma. It was something she had asked a friend to help her prepare, but despite the dangers, she still used it. There was a risk she could lose control, but luckily Jill still felt like she had that. Jumping up, she walked along the wall before spinning towards the monster. Her leg smacked it against the jaw, as it was sent flying backwards.

Superhuman strength and abilities. It was a short window to use them but, it was a means to an end. Even though, some might look at her like a monster too. It was something she had to do to ensure his safety. He had risked his life so much for everyone else. Time for her to keep him safe, no matter how much every bone in her body twisted with agonizing pain.
After this fight, once this wore off, the wounds she had suffered before would return. As well as, her entire body given out on her completely. She only hoped that Chris used this time to flee and finish the mission he set out to do. That was all that mattered. Regardless of how Jill felt, this was how things needed to be. No matter how much she ached to say those words to him. It wasn’t a thing she thought would ever happen.
This was her mess, and she needed to clean it up. No matter what it took. That was the oath she swore years ago. To put the needs of others first, and keep the world order. Even if over time that started to become distorted. That wasn’t the promise she clung to..it was the one she swore to Chris.
‘No matter what path you take, I will always stand by you. I may not agree with some of your choices, but I won’t lose you.’
Everything that happened after was a blur, the next thing she realized was the monster exploding into pieces while her body started to slowly fell to the ground. Chocolate locks returning, as blood seeped out of her wounds again. A whisper came from the agents mouth, it was weak but still there.
“Chris...”

I hate when an artist gets exposed for being a bad person and people start the narrative “why would you even want to listen to their shitty music” when are we going to be freed from the idea that only good people create good art and bad people create bad art. It just makes it harder for these types of people to be exposed because now you got people thinking “how is this possible, his music is so good!”

"internet historian's alt-right anyways" "great day to have never liked james somerton" "never even heard of illuminaughtii before this lol"
that's great buddy but don't go around thinking you're immune to this. if you're not looking for plagiarism, you likely won't notice it unless its egregiously obvious. hell, you've probably consumed plagiarized content without even realizing it. even hbomb pointed out that these people disguised what they presented pretty well as long as you didn't try and dig deeper. don't come away just thinking of this as a callout piece, take this as an important lesson about vetting your sources. if googling scripts in quotes was enough to expose the original, we should all start doing that shit!!
edit: it got a little too doomer-y a little too fast so one quick addition
this is hbomb's curated playlist of queer creators, many of whom were victims of plagiarism
this is producer kat on reddit calling for any more plagiarism discoveries and for queer content creators to be uplifted
please take some time to uplift these creators and recommend any you know! if you can help uncover more of the original creators whose work was lifted that would be great too :)
UPDATE- From Hbomb's twitter: "We're in the process of cataloguing everyone James Somerton plagiarised and finding their contact information. Which is quite a task, so to help us out: If you see this and happen to be one of the people Somerton stole from, please email us at [email protected]"
