I remember you saying you liked drawing athletes for anatomy refs. Where you also a practitioner? And what other sports do you like/have you partaken in, and have they affected the way you draw bodies and movement somehow?
Yeah I've done sports all my life haha. My main sports were acrobatic gymnastics, athletics (medium-long distance and trail) and martial arts (krav maga and muay thai, though I did do a year of karate and have family very close linked to judo), but I've tried a shitton of others
I definitely think observing *and* practicing certain types of sports helped me a lot with my art and sense of volume/anatomy. Gymnastics in particular are all about understanding what muscles flex when, how balance and weight are distributed in your body and how joints bend and rotate relative to each other, etc. By observing you can learn a lot, but there's things you also sort of only get by trying it out
Now of course I'm not recommending do gymnastics to learn how to draw but it definitely did help me. If you're curious about this sort of approach (drawing athletes VS simple figure drawing), a thing that can help is to look at videos instead of static images! I'm very biased towards acrobatic gymnastics but will recommend it anyways because one thing that made me fixate on it was that, compared to olympic artistic gymnastics, routines have a lot more flavour and diversity to them, more complex static poses, etc. Some groups had a chemistry that kept me watching regardless of the actual technical bits heh.
Here look at how neat it is

pls pls pls Käsh fic recs 🤲
KÄSH MENTIONED 🔥🔥🗣🗣 I'll try to strike a balance between ICIP universe Käsh and normal guys Käsh fics!!
by @morbid-things This is art and not a fic but idc everyone should look at it because Alistair COOKED and I'm obsessed with how well he drew Tommy being weird abt Jere <3 (the art where Tommy fingers Jere's wound is also highly recommended 👀)
by @lintubin2!! (I forgor to complete the tag lmfao) What is a Käsh fic rec list if not for Splinters.... This one is pretty hard to summarize, it follows Kä and Tommy after the ICIP mv and there were a lot of surprises in this fic. You will probably be disoriented and ugly sobbing by the end of it 👍 (would read it again ofc)
by @darkerthanblack-666!! An interesting look into ICIP!Käärijä's psychology and his relationship with Häärijä. I included it here because Tommy is important to the story and his relationship with Kä is kind of sweet in a fucked up way XD
by @hazzybat !! I am so sorry for recommending your drabbles out of all the amazing fics you've written but there's so many great concepts in there I just had to!😭 The princess! Jere x knight! Tommy and the one where Tommy does a handstand hit different ngl (bonus rec: their fic Hatefucking!! Angry Tommy fucks a forgetful Jere)
by @cinder-rose!! I'm sorry for dragging you into yet another fic rec list but I'm afraid you ate with this one. Big CW for somnophilia and drugging!! Tommy puts Jere to sleep and has his way with him 👀 Completely consensual, ethically questionable and somehow tender all at once
by chokeherout!! This is ABO which I am not into whatsoever but this fic is genuinely funny and the smut was so good I almost forgot I was reading an alpha/omega fic lmao 😭😂 It basically follows the music video plot but with the added sexy(?) twist ;)
by Natiushq !! Tommy and Jere in a shower, what will they do?😳 Tommy is such a menace in this and i love how Jere is genuinely puzzled by his attraction to him lol Part 2 is also excellent and there's interesting character study stuff in this one too :)
by BoldnotBrash !! Succubus! Käärijä AU 👀 Tommy is just really horny and going along for the ride (heh) so he can get laid 😭 Their interactions are rlly funny in this fic and the Succubus lore was genuinely interesting to read too!
by Rising_Starship_Phoenix !! Fic where Tommy is really into Jere's leather look ;3 Includes some light bondage, honestly just a fun fic where they mess around and admire each other's hot bodies <3

So, given you are interested in DC, or at least aspects of it and RWBY I am curious what your thoughts were on the recent crossover? I assume positive given the art, which s amazing by the by. Also low key curious if you have any "born in DC" headcanon for superhero RWBY. No pressure though.
THE MOVIE YOU MEAN??? well first off thank you hahahah
& for #2 i don't really have any headcanons like that ... somehow i struggle with conceptualizing rwby crossovers w my other interests in general. (maybe it's because rwby's language is so specific to me i struggle to translate in or out of it????)
i do think however we should rank dc characters on how competently they could solve the salem situation /j*
the movies... i watched them back to back in the same night of course, so it was very funny to like, go directly from v7 to post-v9. they were like Guys you will not believe the shit that happened to us since last time we spoke
of course it's crossover spinoff material and not that important to me in the grand scheme of things. so my mode of interaction with it is mostly Enjoying A Light Snack. i can't say i have many capital t Thoughts that are worth posting about individually bc of that. but i DID enjoy the post-v9 aspect of movie2 bc like--altho obviously they can't dig into this shit in a crossover spinoff film--it still gives somewhat of an inclination towards what the writing room is thinking about. ruby especially i had a great time with. how's figuring out the summer rose shit going for you girl (BADLY) (LOL)
oh and omg invoking raven's name ... RAVEN MENTIONED... (to yang no less. heh)
a lot of salem namedrops in movie2 as well which i did chuckle about every time. speaking of, salem not going to vacuo Bolstered... hee hee hoo hoo... pleaaase give me evil gang meetup at beacon pleaaase
movie1 was a special treat for me because i loved all the "this doesn't make any sense this doesnt add up" Memory/Continuity/Spatial fuckery. i could've genuinely watched two full movies about rwby characters going "wait, that doesn't make any sense" at each other. i REALLY enjoyed that. very good show. pyrrha moment very fun also
i think zatanna shouldve showed up in movie2. for me.
i thought i was gonna miss bat ears brucie baby from the RWBYxJL comic more than i did. i think of him so fondly. but wings were kinda fun .... 🦇
movie1 had a little too much diana characterization disease for me to enjoy her. but that's so common its barely worth leveraging as Specific To This Movie. and i feel like she barely talked in movie2 so jury's still out on that. but of course there's a fair bit of wriggle room for the dc characters (in movie1 especially) as well given the "its a random ass crossover so the meta stakes have never been lower + they all got Genuine Teenager Brain for the whole first movie anyway"
movie2 had some pretty cool animation moments that i really noticed. movie1 wasnt like Awful but movie2 was the one where i perked up like "oh, that animation looked cool", you know? also i really liked the models they made for team rwby. the stylization felt nicely balanced to me?...if that makes sense. i hope we can see more models like them in the future just for me. idc who uses them but its my christmas wish RT please
final evaluation: better than DC/RWBY the comic. here is my favorite screenshot

Get Back Hachi’s Memories! CH9
Tumblr media
<9> The Most Formidable Opponent
"Ngh...!" Joker swerved just in time to dodge the katana. Hachi's blade caught against Joker's cape and ripped a tear in it. At the same time, Hachi threw a shuriken which hit and burst Joker's Balloon Gum. Joker lost his balance and started to freefall. He spun around and landed in the middle of a forest. It was a dense forest thick with trees, located right in between the restaurant and cliff.
Cripes, Hachi, you're good...!
Joker carefully observed his surroundings, watching for anyone else. Moonlight streamed in through the leaves above. The wind was blowing, making the leaves rustle like the sound of waves. It set him strangely on edge, like he was facing off against an enemy.
"Hosshi!" In the direction that Hosshi yelped at, Hachi had just canceled his Ninja Art: Flying Squirrel technique and gently landed.
"Hachi..."
"......" Hachi stared intently at Joker. Not with his usual gaze. It was a gaze which conveyed intense emotion, full of bitterness as if he wanted to say something.
Hachi finally spoke. "Phantom Thief Joker, you deceived me..."
"Well, I..." Joker was at a loss for words. He couldn't say "it was because you forgot about me." Even if he said that, Hachi as he was now wouldn't have any emotional response. To him, Phantom Thief Joker was a despised enemy.
Joker replied with a smile on his face. "Yeah, I did! I'm a phantom thief. Deception comes with the profession."
"Grrr... that's unforgivable." Hachi bitterly glared at Joker.
Joker glanced toward the cliff. Hyakkimaru had the last container with Hachi's curry. Around now, he should've taken the Iga wonder herb off the boss and mixed it into the curry. If he could just get Hachi over there...
With this in mind, he'd decided to intentionally provoke Hachi and draw his attention.
"All right, come at me, Hachi! Not like you're a match for me anyhow!"
"Ghh... I won't know unless I try!" Hachi threw more shuriken. Swooshing through the air, multiple shuriken came flying. Hachi hadn't studied alongside Hyakkimaru for nothing. The shuriken were headed on a direct course for Joker.
"Hosshi!"
"Pseudocat, hide somewhere!" Joker hurled Hosshi into the bushes, then swiftly ran around dodging.
"You won't get away!" Hachi yelled, shooting more shuriken which curved in midair. The scattered shuriken came at Joker from all directions, cornering him from every angle.
"Nrgh, pretty good!" Joker inflated Balloon Gum and attempted to float high into the air. ...But a sharp needle flew toward it. The needle shot through the Balloon Gum, bursting the bubble with a loud pop.
"Whoa-whoa-whoa!" Joker fell and hit the ground back-first.
"I expected that you'd try to escape with Balloon Gum!"
"Gnh..." Of course, that's my Hachi. He knows all my methods of escape. "Then how about this!" Joker pulled cards out of his pocket and held them at the ready. If I can just blind Hachi with these...!
"Straight Flash!"
But when the cards flashed, for some reason, piercing light beamed into Joker's eyes. "Ngh...!" Joker was temporarily blinded and couldn't move. Just then, he felt something constrict around him, and he fell to the ground. Looking down, his arms and torso were tied up with rope.
"W-What just happened?" Joker looked up and saw Hachi towering above, holding a large mirror in front of his eyes.
"Heh hehn, I reflected the light from your Straight Flash. I told you. Whatever moves you make, I can anticipate them all."
"Rrgh..."
In that case, I'm just gonna have to use Image Gum and tough this out somehow...! Joker wiggled a bound hand into his pocket. But there wasn't any gum there.
"Is this what you're looking for?" asked Hachi, pulling out a small box. It was Joker's gum case. In case of emergencies, Joker had multiple hiding spots for gum across his body. Hachi knew most of those spots.
Tch, I'm in trouble... Joker mentally cursed. He definitely didn't want to admit it to Hachi, but he was one of the toughest opponents he'd ever faced. Hachi was always by Joker's side and knew his habits better than anyone. Not Spade, not Queen, not Shadow. As hard as it was to believe, Hachi was the most formidable of all.
"Now then, Phantom Thief Joker, prepare yourself." Hachi scowled at Joker from above.
"Ghh... what are you going to do to me?"
"That's obvious. Joker, you're going to..." Hachi started to say, but stopped in the middle of his sentence.
"?" Joker looked up to see Hachi tilting his head, confused about something. "What's wrong, Hachi?"
"Umm... Joker... Uh, what is it that I wanted to do to Joker...?" he thought out loud to himself. Hachi was at a loss.
He hated Joker, but now that he'd caught him, he didn't know what to do... Hachi was surprised by his own state of mind. From his behavior, Joker could guess that Hachi didn't know how to alleviate his own feelings of hate.
"Why have I been..." Hachi kept wondering.
Since Hachi's goal wasn't to hurt Joker, he wouldn't attack him any more. In which case, this was Joker's chance to act.
But...
The way to get rid of Hachi's hatred is...
I don't wanna do this, but it's the only option...!
Joker twisted himself around and cut the rope with a card hidden in his glove. He hopped to his feet, then jumped back to put some distance between himself and Hachi.
"Mrgh, Joker!"
"Hachi, one more match!" Joker held up his cards and glared at Hachi. "Emblem Fire!" Joker's thrown cards were enveloped in fire and zoomed toward Hachi.
"That won't work!" Without a moment's delay, Hachi pulled out a water gun and drenched the cards one after another with impeccable aim. The cards' flames were extinguished and they flopped to the ground.
"Nice going, Hachi!"
"I told you already, I know all your attacks!"
"Yeah! That's why you're such a great assistant!"
"I don't remember ever being your assistant!"
Then Joker inflated a bubble of Image Gum and created clones of himself. He slipped in among the gum clones and ran around the forest, but Hachi only chased after the real Joker.
"It's no use! I can tell which one the real Joker is!"
"Heh heh, you can?"
Just then, something appeared in the sky.
"All right!" Joker, after scurrying about, jumped up high. He shook Hachi off his tail and bounced from tree branch to tree branch, heading up toward the night sky.
"You're late, Hyakkimaru!" Up ahead, Hyakkimaru was coming from the other direction, soaring with his Ninja Art: Flying Squirrel.
"Apologies for the wait, Joker! This is the curry mixed with the herb!" Hyakkimaru tossed over the container of curry.
"Thanks! OK, let's do this!" Joker grabbed the container and descended to the ground. Below, Hachi was glaring up at him. "Emblem Fire!"
"I told you, that won't work!" Hachi pulled out the water gun again and fired at the cards. A stream of water shot out and extinguished the cards' flames.
"Heh heh, you're wide open!" In an instant, Joker dropped to the ground and wrapped around behind Hachi, putting him in a full nelson hold. He popped open the curry container and put it against Hachi's mouth.
"Open wide! It's your own curry!"
"N-No!" Hachi shut his mouth tight and kept it clamped.
"Grrrgh, you stupid blockhead! Just eat it already!"
"M mmhrmm m hrm... (I refuse to eat it!)"
"Egh... guess I gotta!" Joker said, then whispered something into Hachi's ear.
"Huh...?" Hachi's jaw automatically dropped open. And in that instant...
"All right!" Joker poured the curry into Hachi's mouth.
"!? Mmff mff mff...!"
"Go ahead, Hyakkimaru!" Joker shouted towards the sky, then tossed Hachi up with all his might.
"Waaahhh!"
"Understood! Here I come, Hachi! Koga Ninja Art: Memory Retrieval!" Hyakkimaru made hand seals from which light emitted. The light touched Hachi's head and surrounded him. Enveloped in soft light, Hachi gently closed his eyes.
"Mhmhmhmh... HYAH! The moment Hyakkimaru willed it, Hachi's body was hit with a shockwave and sprang up, then started to fall. On the ground, Joker caught Hachi's body.
"Hachi, are you okay?"
"Hosshi!" Hosshi came out of the bushes and bounded up to Hachi.
Looking at him, Hachi was in Joker's arms, snoring quietly. His expression was no different than when he napped in the living room. It was Hachi's usual sleeping face.

curious about "won't you wear my flower crown"! :D
Ohohoho! You have chosen one of the few fics I’ve actually fleshed out to some degree, and made art around lol. I’ve got a bullet-point outline and about 3k worth of text smashed out already!
It’s a mashing of two soulmate AU’s in one, a soul animal x dream walking AU. Basically through some deliberate quirky (heh) interference, Aizawa and Izuku start sharing a dreamscape together. BUT! They don’t know it is the other for they are in the form of their souls, which are the animals that most represent them. Naturally Aizawa is a cat and Izuku a hare, and they can’t understand the other right away either! So lots of fun interactions, with the natural consequence of sharing a dream effecting their waking life mwahahaha!
So here is a short snippet: (Izuku is currently at a fall market with the dekusquad, Aizawa the chaperone. In this scene he is talking to a mysterious vendor)
——————————————————————————————————
Her gaze pierces into his, oddly reminiscent of Recovery Girls own disapproving look when he inevitably winds up in the infirmary. Izuku feels himself flush self consciously, eyes flicking away from her gaze.
“You must have had a hard time of it younger, children can be so cruel” Her hand gently traced the edge of a scar on his palm.
“Remember, it is not bad to be this way. Simply keep your wits about you, and don't let your own habits consume you” She petted his hand reassuringly “Your doubts lead if you allow them to, similarly your wants. It is a balancing act you must hold firm on young man”
Her words seemed to draw Izuku in, something about them resonating within his soul. As if they spoke to a part of him buried where he thought things had died. She leaned back, letting go of his hand.
“But I sense you soon will find someone to help you with that.” Her voice danced knowingly, eyes no longer looking at him but focused over his shoulder.
“Problem Child” A gruff voice huffed.
Izuku almost jumped in his seat, head whipping round to see Aizawa-Sensei staring down at him with exasperation. When the man had gotten there, Izuku could not say. Looking at his expression clued him in though.
“A-Aizawa Sensei! I completely lost track of time! I’m sorry, was everyone waiting long?” Izuku fumbled, shooting up out of his chair and nearly tipping it over, had Aizawa not reached over to steady it reflexively.
“Never mind that, its time to leave. I hope you’re wrapping things up here, hmmm?” The man raised a brow.
“I, uhm- Yes?” Izuku turned to the lady, bowing quickly “Even though I don’t really get it, thank you for your time” he rushed out, thoughts feeling scrambled at the sudden reminder of the hour.
“Thank me by being a better pro than the previous ones, no offence Scruffy” She snorted, shaking her head.
“None taken.” Aizawa-Sensei sighed.
“Hmmm. A smart one then.” She grinned, “Here.” hand reaching over to the stones on display, she plucked two from the pile.
“Give me both of your hands” She huffed, fist held up in their direction.
Izuku glanced at Aizawa who grudgingly held his palm out. In a bid to speed things up, the man nudged the boy to do the same, who rushed to present a palm as well. To which the lady deposited a stone each in them.
“A gift of good luck, we need good hero’s like you sticking around after all.” Was her only explanation, before she turned away in clear dismissal.
Izuku curled his fingers around the rock, slipping the fist into his pocket. Diligently trotting after Aizawa Sensei who had already turned to make his way back to the others. As they pushed through the crowd, Izuku failed to notice the way his right hand seemed to tingle, growing momentarily warm with the stone in hand.
——————————————————————————————————
Wonder what will happen 👀
I might post some of the art I’ve made later, not sure yet since its more of a wip and not complete (story of my life)
You can tell I have a habit of turning characters into animals, I just love the idea of them in a different form :D

Ya Basic - Back to Nonbasics Commentary
Tumblr media
It's that time of the week again, folks! Here's the commentary for the remainder of the submissions. One thing I want to mention before getting into the card-by-card feedback is a few recurring themes I noticed; namely, the purpose lands serve in a game of Magic. Ultimately, big, splashy, game-changing effects should be ones that players can interact with. That's why they show up on other card types, and often cost a hefty amount of mana. Lands, on the other hand, are meant to provide you with resources in order to help you play the game. Obviously, they can do more than just tap for one mana apiece, but the line is a tricky one to draw. In the FPS analogy of magic, Torment of Hailfire is the DPS, and your lands are the support roles. Some of the submissions this week cross that line a bit, trying to make lands that are cool and flashy all on their own. And I get it! The very nature of this contest demands that you make something exciting and revolutionary so it'll stand out! But, hopefully as the winners and runners-up show, I will usually give more praise to a "boring" but well-designed card than I will to something that goes all-out on flashiness for the sake of it. Obviously that's my personal proclivity and I can't speak for the other judges, but there you have it. As always, I am available here or on Discord if you want to converse about feedback or pick my brain for reasons unrelated.
Ugh, that was a ramble. Here's the lands!
Tumblr media
Astral Canvas by @spooky-bard
So far, we’ve only seen one enchantment land- I assume they’re a bit more dangerous than artifact lands because of the prevalence of constellation effects? Anyways, this seems like a fairly balanced one in that regard. Sure, you get an enchantment ETB, but this is a waste (heh) until you are able to play more enchantments- which are almost always colored, so this doesn’t really help you with mana fixing. I think it’s pretty solid balance-wise. The flavor is a bit generic, but I suppose that’s better than making it the billionth theros-themed enchantment effect. All in all, it’s a very solid card, and was pretty close to winning this week.

Aurora Barrows by @i-am-the-one-who-wololoes
Threshold is an old mechanic for sure, meaning that it was underutilized when it first debuted. This is a pretty simple take on it, but one that makes a lot of sense- it’s the generic rainbow land that turns itself on with the set mechanic. However, I think threshold is just a little too mid-game-y for this land to ever be useful. With conditional rainbow lands, you want to have the possibility of turning them on in the first few turns in order to really get a use out of them, but threshold is hard to hit that fast unless you’re aggressively going for a self mill strategy. Which, hey, every card has its place, but this one just doesn’t seem worth playing to me.
Tumblr media
Breathtaking Vista by @snugz
Okay, using inspired as a mechanic to represent literal artistic inspiration is very clever, and you worked the name and flavor text in a way I can really appreciate. I do think there’s some logistical issues with the timing of the trigger and the fact that it’s on a land- this is a really easy trigger to just get absolutely buried in the flurry of actions that is your beginning phase, and I’m not sure if I see an easy way to fix that. This does put me in mind of an art-themed world, however, which is a fascinating concept to me, and one I hope you might expand on.
Tumblr media
Cacophonous Catacomb by @izzet-always-r-versus-u
The long-lost sibling of our Threshold land above. This one fixes some of the issues I had with Aurora Barrows- namely, it helps enable itself, delirium is conditionally easier than threshold depending on deck construction, and the reward is a bit greater, with two mana instead of a single rainbow mana. However, I wonder if this might be too good? Not because of the reward, but I can think of a lot of decks that would love a free mill every turn, or four if you hit your playset of these. There is admittedly the tradeoff of not having colored mana from these, but I would like to see how this plays in a strong reanimator shell before passing any real judgement.
Tumblr media
Collapsing Peatland by @salamileg
This is one of those cards that I thought I knew what it said, but had to come back and reread it to make sure. The addition of the word “land” here really changes this from a strong enabler card to a balanced dual land, since the opportunity cost of having to pitch another land makes it a big decision. I would personally make sure to include reminder text that it taps for black and green, but that’s a small nitpick. Also, that flavor text is really depressing. Not a criticism, but dang.
Tumblr media
Dormant Volcano // Fields of Ash by @helloijustreadyourpost
I missed the transform clause at first and realy thought you put a repeatable board wipe on a land, and I was ready to just shake my head in disappointment. However, it’s a much cleaner design than that, and I never should have doubted you. HOWEVER, there are some logistical issues to be found here. Obviously, you want to hold the board wipe until you can be sure you’re killing as many creatures as possible, since you only have one shot to get this guy loaded with corpse counters. The issue arises when the land transforms, you go to combat, and all of a sudden you’re forgetting the delayed corpse counter triggers since you don’t have that text right in front of you. Since the land is already tapped, I think the easiest solution would be to have it transform at the beginning of the next end step. Little functional difference, but it means that it’ll be easier to remember and track the creatures that were caught in the eruption.
Tumblr media
Forsaken Battlefield by @bergdg
Simple, classic, and... maybe not that good? Hey, it would be pretty solid in Limited, and that counts for something. Maybe Prosper EDH would like it. In a multiplayer game, you’re pretty likely to hit this at least once a round, so it’s just a matter of holding up two mana in the hopes of stockpiling more. Honestly though? I think this might play better if you up the threshold to two or three creatures dying, and then remove the mana cost and just allow it to tap. That makes it feel more like a battlefield if multiple things have to die, and removes a bit of the opportunity cost of having to hold another land in reserve alongside this one.
Tumblr media
Harmonious Karst by @horsecrash
So, I’m honestly unsure about how to judge this one. I did ask for some consideration of Limited viability, and even if planechase could be made into a draft set (god I want it so bad Wizards please give it to me), this seems like it would be a very swingy land at uncommon, especially if it’s a cycle like the typing implies. Sure, always entering tapped is a downside, but making it so that you have two free rolls of the planar die every turn seems really good in a set built around the concept. Obviously it’s impossible to really judge this without seeing it in action, but I think I would like this better at rare, and maybe as a rainbow land instead of a dual that implies a full or half cycle of these.
Tumblr media
Hazardous Warehouse by @0woah
Hoo boy, this land seems pretty straightforward, but I reckon the rules would get FUNKY. What happens if you reveal a Reflecting Pool or Exotic Orchard? Can those lands see the battlefield? Can the game even recognize what mana a land card in your hand is capable of producing? I would definitely have to consult with someone more experienced than me to see if this would work, and the confusion might not be worth it. It’s still an incredibly cool concept though, that’s for sure. The last ability could use some tightening up on the wording, since currently it looks like it can only exile creatures that already have that many time counters on it. Also, if you’re in even a decent shape, that’s essentially just a permanent, repeatable exile on a land, which is... a little scary. Lots of cool ideas here, but temperance is the key to making a solid design, especially a land.
Tumblr media
Howling Cliff by @deg99
I do think we could stand to see more of the typal “if you control this creature or have one in hand” lands, like Murmuring Bosk. Wolf/ Werewolf is a dual tribe that makes a lot of sense here, and the first half of the card is great. I’m honestly not sure how to feel about that last ability- I get that you want to make allowances for old and new werewolves, but the way you balanced it, it looks like it was meant to transform a single werewolf, then you hastily added the day/night text because you realized a new werewolf wouldn’t transform- but then forgot to take into account that the ability now transforms ALL your werewolves. What’s more, at 6 functional mana, you’re likely putting most of your mana into this, meaning you won’t be casting spells, meaning the day/night becomes a bit redundant. It’s a tricky one for sure, and I don’t have a solution for you, but it does need some kind of adjustment.
Tumblr media
Karbranth Grand Clinic by @mmmmmin
Thought you could sneak a Stormlight Archives reference by me, huh? Huh??? Jokes aside, it is important to bring up the fact that we tend to avoid Universe Beyond cards in the contests unless we explicitly ask for them, such as when we run our IP contests. That being said, I am going to assume this was an act of not knowing the rules, rather than deliberate malice, so I’m going to evaluate the card as though it was just a generic MTG land. I do like how the paying life/ lifelink abilities synergize, allowing you to hopefully regain the life you’ve lost to this land, while not making it too easy with a power boost. The third ability is where things fall apart for me a little bit, since you seem to have gone for flavor over gameplay. Citizen is a very niche creature type, so I think this could have just allowed you to sacrifice any creature. Investigate is neat, for sure- the talk of samples and death implies that killing people gives you clues- but why the coin flip? That just seems out of nowhere, and doesn’t really mesh with the design. A good question to ask yourself at this stage is “what deck does this want to be in?” At the moment, this wants to have Citizen typal, be an aristocrats deck to make the sacrifice worth it, maybe care about clues to some degree, and then also be able to manipulate coin flips. It’s pulling in a lot of different directions, which doesn’t really do it many favours, obscuring the really cool ideas you had.
Tumblr media
Lochthwain, Compleated by @curiooftheheart
Okay, this is definitely one of the coolest “ETB untapped” conditions I’ve seen. It makes sense that “legendary” locations should care about Legendary figures. The different take on Castle Locthwain’s card draw is also pretty sweet, still rewarding you for having a smaller hand rather than being greedy. However, I just don’t see the phyrexian flavor here? This could just be Locthwain 2.0. It has the same card draw, the same life loss, etc, so where is the Compleated part coming from? I guess that might be a little too nitpicky, and I don’t know what exactly I expected, but Compleated made me think there would be some mechanical tangent it would go on to differentiate itself from the OG design.
Tumblr media
Marrow Dunes by @certification-wizard
One of our other Desert cards this week, and another one that cares about the graveyard- in a cool way, too. Not only does this provide prime fodder for the cards asking you to sacrifice a desert, but it then gives you more deserts to use for said abilities. It’s a nicely designed card, with one small hurdle- namely, land tokens are a pretty tough sell. The only cards that make Land tokens right now also make them creatures, because it’s all too easy to run into complicated issues with forgetting which lands are real and which are tokens, accidentally shuffling them in, etc. It’s still a very cool idea, and frankly Desert tokens probably have a lot less issues in this regard than basic land tokens would, but it’s worth pointing out.

Okay, nitpicks outta the way first- this land is technically white and blue because of the color indicator, and lands should be colorless- plus, watch the ordering of mana symbols: It should be 2WU. Apart from that, this is a really neat Treasure Planet-esque land! Ships sailing the stars, magical ocean creatures swimming in space- there’s a lot of flavor to plumb there, and this does a really good job of it. See above for my comments on enchantment lands in general. However, in a dedicated enchantment deck, that’s gonna be a LOT of unblockable fish. I think the scale needs to be brought down on that, especially since it’s a land as well, and four mana is not a particularly difficult threshold to meet.

Parotia, Wrenn’s Legacy by @marrinara-sauce
Ahh, the classic Planeswalker land. Something many a designer, including myself, have tried to make work. And frankly? You did a really good job of balancing it to make sure it wouldn’t absolutely take over the game if left unchecked. It works pretty much like a land in almost every scenario, which is something to be commended for, that kind of restraint is not usually seen in these designs. However, by their very nature, Planeswalkers warp the game around them. They change the rules, and give your opponents another “mini player” to consider. As mentioned in the intro, lands are the exact opposite of that. They should be playing a support role, not completely changing how the game is played. Combine that with the absolute feelbad of drawing into multiple of these, or losing your land drop to an aggro deck, means that Planeswalker lands are unfortunately a pretty flawed premise.

Queiscent Summit by @grornt
Interestingly, eight or more lands was the Quandrix subtheme in strixhaven, and I kinda expected this to take on some of that flavor. Regardless, this is a fairly neat manland. It taps for mana, it filters when needed, and it can become a late game beater. I don’t have too much to say about it honestly, since it seems pretty well designed. The one minor detail that slipped by you is that it should have haste in creature form- if this is your eighth land drop, and all of a sudden you have a land you can’t tap for mana right away... it gets confusing. Haste is definitely something this design wants, in the same way that Nissa and her animation spells grant haste so you don’t have to keep track of which lands are summoning sick and which aren’t.

Stallblast Cliff by @dimestoretajic
I definitely have some mixed feelings on this one. I like the idea of a scaling reward based on when you play this, and the basic is a good rider to ensure you’re not just playing this with a bunch of fancy duals. At the same time, though, I think the two/three land threshold is a bit confusing, and this might have wanted the Dwarven Mine templating or something similar. I don’t know, maybe that’s me being too cautious. It’s entirely possible, honestly. Also, it’s worth wondering if a lightning bolt is too efficient for a land. Sure, it’s essentially a mini Valakut, but they have very different thresholds, and four copies of this can go a long way. At minimum, this probably shouldn’t be at common.

Starved Caldera by @bread-into-toast
This is a very cute way to animate a land, and I think a set of these with various “whenever you do this, it becomes a creature” would be kinda neat, especially to juxtapose the deliberate activated ability manlands that are more prevalent. I do think this wants the “triggers only once each turn” templating to make it a little cleaner, but apart from that, this looks pretty good to me. The name is just so evocative and chilling, it’s... whoof. I don’t wanna get on the bad side of whatever is hanging out there. My one other tiny nitpick is that you may wanna have your art and name agree with each other more, since there is a distinct lack of water hanging out in that art. Volcanoes are cool hot though, so I’ll let it slide.

The Font of Creation by @wolkemesser
This one is definitely tough to evaluate. The design you’re going for is a great idea, and you’ve definitely thought to account for corner cases, which is good, but I’ll be frank- this is not a land. This completely changes how the game is played, and forces your opponents to play by those rules as well, which is fine for designs! But this is a high-cost artifact or enchantment kind of design, not one that should be able to be dropped on turn 1 for free. Also with that in mind, trying to evaluate how a card can be broken, and making adjustments to reflect that, is a good way to improve a design. However, the best solution usually isn’t to just tack a new ability on there to prevent that abuse from happening, usually you want to try and reword the original ability to prevent that kind of abuse. Ultimately, this card is just trying to do way too much- the complexity and power level are more appropriate for a more mana-intensive card, and that’s after making some adjustments to clean up the various abilities on here.

Thunderstruck Starscape by @lanabutnotdelray
I really do like how creative people got with untap conditions this week, and this one is no exception. It’s clever, flavorful, and all in all just hits the mark. First things first, blah blah blah enchantment lands, I won’t get into all that again. Second- in a blue-red deck, two devotion seems laughably easy. This is saying “this enters untapped unless you’ve played a spell”, which to be fair is not nothing, but it makes the devotion aspect less necessary. This is me going off of a gut feeling, but I think 3 might be the magic number on this- keep in mind that devotion to two colors is much easier than to one, which is why the dual-color gods have to hit seven instead of five. Likewise, I could see two working for a single color of devotion, but I think for two I wanna see what a threshold of three would look like. Apart from that, love the design.

Tidal Graveyard by @azathoth-the-bored
I do love niche typal lands, they’re fun and often just make for cute designs. This one is pretty standard as far as things go- the costs seem pretty appropriate, especially since Crab is a pretty small type and it’s not known for making a ton of tokens. However, most other typal lands try to lean into the creature type’s mechanical identity. Sometimes there isn’t one, of course, but crabs do have a couple decent identities of high toughness and of milling. Leaning into one of those could have made for an even neater design, since drawing a card just seems like a bit of a generic payoff, as things go.
Tumblr media
Undergrowth Tangle by @stupidstupidratcreatures
I am glad that you had the foresight to have the enter unconditionally tapped, since that shows you’re treating mill as the upside it is. Not an incredible upside, granted, but a playset of these will do a whole lot of work in a reanimator shell. Like the delirium design also submitted this week, I would want to see it in action to properly judge, since this could be a big power boost in the right decks.

Unending Sands by @just--a--penguin
Our final desert of the week- interestingly, most of them had to do with exiling from grave instead of sacrificing. It’s an interesting way to make sure they synergize with existing deserts rather than trying to compete in the same space as them, and invokes a really neat hypothetical draft format. Return to Amonkhet perhaps, with deserts as a proper archetype this time? Anything can happen. I don’t have much else to say here- 5 mana for a 4/4 token seems fair, especially when you have to jump through the hoop of getting this into your graveyard first. All in all, it’s a neat design for sure, though maybe the name could have been a biiit less on the nose.
Tumblr media
Velis Vel by @sombramainexe
Hoo boy, okay. I don’t want to be too harsh on the commentary for this one, but tribal is a card type that isn’t used anymore for very good reasons. Even a single tribal card is very unlikely, and more likely to be used as a silly callback. However, this makes everything into a tribal card, and doesn’t even give most of them creature types. This would result in a lot of confusion and a LOT of memory issues, as well as some odd corner cases. For example, would Eye of the Storm gain the “Eye” creature type? Some of this could be fixed with templating, but a lot of it is just fundamentally not going to work very well. Also, Tribal lands are a whole mess on their own- even when they originally made tribal, they didn’t wanna mess with it that much. I do think this is an incredibly creative idea, and I applaud you for really pushing the boundaries- because what is this contest for if not to display creativity? However, it’s worth tempering that creativity with design principles- after all, they exist for a reason. This also serves as a great reminder that the hive mind over in our discord is always happy to discuss cards and bounce ideas off of each other if you ever want to refine your design before submission.
And that's that! You are now in the hands of the ever-capable, incorruptible @gollumni- we have five judges once again, so I will see you in five weeks! Farewell!

Sedgwick is DENSE AS FUCK DO NOT FEEL INSECURE.
academic theory is written specifically for the most pretentious and argumentative group of people on the planet. their audience will be SEARCHING for critical footholds, loose chinks in the armor of the argument to needle at and pull apart. it has to be airtight. That Impacts The Writing. It IS hard, it DOES take time, and there is not a single thing wrong with you for it.
anyway i am so happy you're reading it! it is a very good essay, and it will get easier the further you read as you pick up on her cadence and nuances in the topics she's working with. it's all about practice and familiarity. you can build both and while you might never exactly breeze through sedgwick, the process of engaging dense text and identifying the specific hinge they're balancing on in a larger discussion will become routine.
part of the reason it's so strikingly dense at first is because she's establishing her rhetorical and theoretical frameworks and you haven't had a chance to build up your familiarity with them. attempting to summarize hundreds of years of discussion reasonably well in a few pages. in the early days, you're not JUST cognitively processing her specific thoughts on the topic, you're ALSO cognitively processing all of the ideas she's building off of. not just the impact of hermeneutic suspicion she's discussing, but hermeneutic suspicion itself. that's a big concept! that concept has tentacles in every ounce of contemporary intellectualism. your brain is simultaneously tracking that idea back through all of your previous experiences and casting it forward with the essay you're reading. so much work all at once. it's less cognitively demanding for someone already familiar with the hermeneutic of suspicion because they have already tracked the idea backward and only need to cast it forward. literally the brain has been assigned fewer tasks to read, comprehend, and integrate the text.
my point is, you're doing great. if you want to discuss something or get confused or stuck, feel free to reach out. good luck! I'm really proud of you!
It's SO DENSE yes! I'm on the page 23 now. I just read Maggie Kilgour's The Rise of the Gothic Novel which was easier to understand because I was already familiar with the terms she uses.
I love me some "pretentious" argumentative academic analysis occasionally! It feels good to really force my brain to work out the meaning of things. Of course this means I've had to google a lot of words while reading it, heh!
I've definitely heard a lot of criticism about academic world especially from professional academics. All my academic friends come from working-class background and they are very critical of how inaccessible/insular academic world can be. When you're working-class it's hard to fit in that kind of inherently middle-class setting. At the same time it's good that some things are complicated and not easily understood by everyone. That's just the nature of in depth academic analysis.
I've been really interested in the topic of poetic vs hermeneutic criticism lately. I'd love to learn more about writing good critism- maybe even test what I've learned in practice and write some reviews for fun too. It's really interesting to think what makes a critique good. It's its own art form.
Your critique of the critique was a very fun read! It's always good to see well formed arguments and new perspectives on art. Thank you for your thoughtful comment! Cheers!

Wednesday Progress Shots:
Tumblr media
More below the cut.
Original rough sketch.
Tumblr media
A more refined sketch; I decided I wanted it to be more like a creepy family portrait and added in her hands. I used symmetry for this one; I felt like it made it more uncanny.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lineart. I use a rough, pencil-like brush for my linework.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I painted in some flats. I always include a little extra color/rendering on extremities to give it a little more, er… life. x) I decided the "blacks" shoulder be the same deep maroon I used for the lineart so the lines faded at this stage. However, I go in and change them to overlay, or multiply, or color burn, depending on what looks best. :)
Flats, with lineart adjusted for overlays and color.
Tumblr media
I paint in and plan an approximation of my light source(s) in grayscale.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shadows added in two layers. How much I used and how many layers varies from piece to piece. Whatever looks good and feels right to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once I've painted in my lightsource, it's just a matter of adjusting the colors until I like how they look. I went with a sickly green, cold light for this one. It wasn't bright enough originally, so I created a new layer. I continued adding details until I was happy with it.
Tumblr media
Then I add a layer of green set on "darken." It knocks out any whites. I tend to play around with this setting on most of my pieces just to see how things look. Another thing I do frequently (that is, when I remember), is set up a layer that allows me to check my values at a glance (basically, an all-black or -white layer set to hue or color). I can make sure I don't have too many midtones and such.
Tumblr media
Yep. She looks good like this, too. After this, and most importantly I like to let the work "breathe." Especially if I'm unsure about it. I let it sit for a day (sometimes longer, if I've got the luxury), before returning to it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The left was what I had. Sure, she looked okay, but I decided some things were missing, and her hair was way too light to be Wednesday's sharp black. Originally when I saw the piece in my head, I planned my light source from directly above. As the piece developed it came more from the side. So I added a little shadow to her face, too. And yet, we are still not done. Umm. I like adjustment layers. I like adding a flash of unpredictability to my art. Keeps me from being too nitpicky, and forces me not to get too stuck with one version of a thing. I'm bad about things like that.
So… I smack on some curves, or adjust color balance. Sometimes I just put layers with different colors over them. In the end, though, I always add some noise, chromatic aberration, and sharpen.
…and let's not forget to sign it, either. Heh. I usually add a simple square with my real initials in it, as well as one (if not more) of my social media platforms. Anymore that tends to be my tumblr because I've taken a fancy to this place.
Tumblr media
So. Yeah. A walkthrough my process that you never asked for and I didn't really plan, so there aren't any pictures of tools or anything. Umm. Questions from the class? x)

All Hallow’s Schemes
Who’s ready for a Halloween themed fic in December??
It seems you’ve been dealt your share of tricks this Halloween, and decide its your turn for some treats with a little help from your favorite smug eagle.
ler!reader, lee!Keaton
I hope everyone enjoys! Please if you have a villager in mind I’d love to oblige!
“Wheeew,” you exhaled, shutting the door to your home and slumping onto your couch.  It was a fun Halloween event, but it wore you out, searching for and giving candy to Jack while avoiding being tricked by your neighbors.  And some of them got you good, wiping your brow and inspecting your hand to find it coated in blue and green paint.
“Those assholes,” you muttered fondly, chuckling a little to yourself as you recounted the events of the evening. Audie, Patty, and Piper were out together and flanked you at once for candy, which you’d just given to Jack. While you were trying to explain your way out of an impending trick, Louie appeared behind you, taking your arms and holding you against him.
“Treat or be tricked, Y/N, that’s the rule for tonight!” he had said as the three aspiring pop stars attacked your face and neck with paint. Of course, it was all good fun, but it left you restless.
“All that trouble for what?” You asked yourself, looking toward the door where you emptied all the contents of your pockets.  Some spooky garland, a lantern, one of Jack’s robes, a Jack mask, a few new DIY recipes…
“... Wait a minute,” You thought and approached your Halloween haul, eyeing the robe and headpiece.  The gears in your head were turning and you developed a wonderfully devious idea.  But you were going to need some help.
*******************************************************************************************
“Heh, not too bad,” Keaton said to himself, going through his haul for the evening.  He had been careful to steer clear of Jack all night… Not that he was afraid of him or anything.  Totally not that. He just thought it best not to bother the Czar on his big day.  Yep, that was the story he was sticking with.
Three loud thumps startled him out of his thoughts as he ran up to the door.
“Nice try, you aren’t getting any tricks or treats from me!” He called out.
“I thought you were an eagle, not a chicken,” you called back from the other side. Keaton turned quickly and opened his door rather abruptly, but you rushed in before he had a chance to tell you how rude he thought you were.
“Wingo, what are you- what happened to your face?” he said upon seeing the blue and green hues you hadn’t bothered to clean off yet.
“Louie, Piper, Audie, and Patty happened.  And I want your help to get them back.” Keaton smirked.  “What’s the plan then, wingo?” You pulled up a message on your phone and showed your vibrant partner in crime.
*******************************************************************************************
“There, sent!” Piper chirped, having sent a mass invitation to everyone on the island to her home for a Halloween party.  Given almost half the island was at her home already, she figured the more the merrier… Or in this case, the scarier.  Audie, sporting a red dress and devil horns, was preparing a punch while Patty frosted some of the pumpkin and bat-shaped cookies she baked for the occasion. Meanwhile, a toilet paper-wrapped Louie put up the decorations.
“Thanks for inviting us over, Piper, this is gonna be a blast!” Louie said as he descended from a step ladder.
“Of course.  The decorations look totes amazing, by the way!” Piper complimented, smiling wide and showing her vampire teeth.  Paper bats flew from strings on the ceiling and spooky garland accented the walls.  Pumpkin lanterns were illuminated and fake spiders sneakily adorned chairs and tables, awaiting unsuspecting guests.
“And OMIGOSH look at this snack table!” Audie’s blood-red cherry punch was the perfect balance of sweet and tart, and Patty’s finished cookies were a work of art; you almost wouldn’t want to eat them and ruin them.  Well, almost.
“It was no trouble.  I’m actually super pumped my cherry punch gets such a grand debut!” Audie elicited a  small squeak of excitement and clapped her paws together.
“And I always love an excuse to get baking. It’ll be my claim to fame!” Patty perked up.
“And I just finished putting together the perf Halloween playlist.  Tonight is officially ON!” Piper cheered.
And just like that, out went the power.
Patty and Audit audibly gasped in surprise, holding each other.
“Piiiiper… What’s going on?” Louie asked wearily.  Piper huffed, more frustrated than scared at the moment.
“I don’t know! I’ll go check outside.”  But she stopped, and all four watched as her door slowly opened.
~Crreeeeeek~
“Piper,” Louie called, placing a hand on her shoulder.  She jumped in response, but backed up where the four of them were huddled together.
“I heard there was a party at this house… A Halloween party…” Bellowed a deep voice.  The four villagers were shaking now.
“And I WASN’T INVITED?!” The door burst completely open and in bounded a purple-robed figure with a pumpkin lantern head, eyes glowing bright red.
“JACK!?!” The four exclaimed, fear evident in all their voices as they huddled more tightly together, if that was possible. The figure released a deep, evil laugh.
“Mwahaha! Yes, tis I, the Czar of Halloween themselves!” They sauntered menacingly toward the group.  “How dare you host a party on my Halloween night without my appearance!” The group murmured apologies, but the Czar was having none of it.
“Enough! I care not for your apologies.  Your actions must be met with consequences, so here is a trick from your dear friend, JACK!” With that, a substance burst forth from the figure’s wrists, causing squeals and screams from the four.  However, Audie was the first to stop and realize.
“Wait, foxtrots… This is just silly string.”  Suddenly the lights kicked back on, and sure enough, the four looked at each other covered in purple and orange silly string.  They all stood, thoroughly confused.
“Hahaha! Wingo, that was phenomenal!” Keaton ran in, putting a friendly wing over “Jack”’s shoulder.
“How now, what do you mean “wingo”?” Patty asked.  Keaton smirked as the figure pulled off his head, which wasn’t a head at all, revealing your still blue and green painted face.
“Y/N!?!?”
“Surprise!” You announced triumphently, returning Keaton’s gesture by placing an arm over his shoulders.
“But… how did you…” Piper started.
“Oh, it was pretty easy!” you started.  “You sent the invite, and I decided to return your trick with one of my own!”
“Of course after seeing wingo’s face, I had to do something. Four against one, ya know. And it was a blast!” he then turned to you. “Had to even the odds a little bit.  What kind of a bestie would I be if I left them hanging?”
There was a moment of silence before Louie started laughing. “Man, island rep, you got us good! And we did kinda gang up on you earlier, sorry about that.” Audie, Piper, and Patty followed suit.
“Yeah foxtrot, I guess we got caught up in all the festivities.”
“I’m sorry if we made it seem like we were all out to get you, chickadee.”
“Oh bestie, I’m so sorry!”
“There’s no need. Everyone had fun with their tricks.  I know I did,” you chuckled and continued.  “As far as I’m concerned we’re even now.”
“So will you guys stay for the party?” Piper asked in a hopeful tone.
“Yeah, Rep, hang out!” Louie encouraged.  You looked to Keaton, who shrugged with indifference.
“Yeah, I think we can chill for a while.  But we’re gonna go get cleaned up and changed first.  We’ll be back in a few!”  With that, you and your partner in crime headed to your house, which was notably larger than the others and near to the island office.
“Jeez friendo, when are you gonna let me move in?” Keaton jested, planting himself on your couch while you went to wash off your paint.
“Maybe when you help me pay off the bells I still owe on this place,” you retorted.  You looked in the mirror and were relieved that the paint all seemed to come off without residue. Upon coming out of the bathroom you see that Keaton has already taken the liberty of propping his feet up on your coffee table and resting his wings behind his head with a Halloween program on the TV.  “You do look pretty comfy, though.”
“Helping the Czar of Halloween prank our friends is hard work.”
“Oh yeah, flipping the power off and back on must’ve taken it out of you.”  Keaton glared at you momentarily but turned his attention back to the program.  Maybe it was the adrenaline from the massive trick you pulled off, or maybe it was the spirit of the holiday getting to you.  Either way, your own glare turned mischievous as you crept up on your unsuspecting friend.
“So are you almost ready to go or wha-HA! Wihihingoo, NOOOHOHO!” Keaton screamed, in part due to the very intentional timing of a jump scare on TV with you bringing your hands down and scribbling your fingers in his exposed underwings.
“Whahahat are yahoo doihihing?!” Keaton toppled over in an attempt to get away, however, you (un)gracefully jumped over the back of the couch to straddle his legs: he wasn’t going anywhere just yet.
“Well, if you think about it, I could be doing a few things,” you said plainly, as if you weren’t trying to tickle Keaton into a giggling mess.
“I could be giving you a well-deserved trick for the holiday,” you teased, dragging your fingers from his underwings to the softer part of his belly, scribbling at the quivering tender area.
“WIHEHENGOHOHO!” Keaton shrieked, trying to squirm out from under you, but you firmly planted yourself.
“Nuh uh, none of that!” you scolded, quickly turning to squeeze the tops of his knees, which unfortunately for him was one of the few areas unguarded by feathers.
“GAAHHAHA, noohooho wihehengo, please!” Keaton cackled, his head thrown back on the couch cushion behind him. You stopped to give him some reprieve, not forgetting to hold that spot against him in the future.
“Now, where was I,” you said in mock thought, tapping your chin dramatically while the eagle under you caught his breath.
“Y/N, wahahait,” Keaton tried reasoning through residual giggles.  But you acted as if you hadn’t heard him.
“Oh, yeah! I could be giving you payback for telling your uncle,” you continued, suddenly sending vibrating pokes randomly along his ribs.
“WINGOHOHO! NOHOHO WAHAHSP STIHEHENGS! Cheehehater!”
“Cheater?! You sold me out to Apollo! Maybe I wouldn’t have learned aaaallll about “wasp stings” if you hadn’t found that loophole, huh?” You exclaimed, continuing your revenge by squeezing Keaton’s hips, wriggling your thumb on the taught skin. He went ballistic, his back arched and heels dug into the couch behind you both.
“YHAHAH/NAAHEHE!” he grabbed onto your wrists, but at this point was too weak to pull them off. You almost felt sorry for him… almost. But you did give him another chance at catching his breath as you relented once more.
“Wihihngo, I’m sorryhehe, I cahahan’t…” he trailed off, panting and giggling, wiping away his tears of laughter. You waited a beat for either him to finish his thought or tell you he’s reached a limit.  Now that you thought about it, you were a bit surprised he hasn’t done much objecting as of yet.
“You sure are in rare form today, wingo.  Is the moon full or something?” Keaton asked nervously. You chuckled at your usually pompous and confident friend, who was very much caught off guard.
“Halloween spirit, maybe. But there’s one more thing, since I have your attention,” you stated, and made a show of pinning Keaton’s wings to his sides.  His eyes widened in surprise and wonder about the unknown.
“You might not be in this situation if you hadn’t started all of this on the beach.”
“What? Okay, that’s NOT how that happened!” Keaton objected, finding the sass that was once buried in ticklish hysteria.
“Yes it is! You couldn’t take a joke, so you resorted to… this!” Keaton noticed that beat of silence in your accusation and pressed on.
“Resorted to what exactly, wingo?”
“You’re stalling!”
“No, let’s get the story straight. I can’t take a joke so I tackled you on the beach and…?” Keaton egged.
“You… you ti-... arrgh…,” You felt your face heat and you huffed.  How dare he fluster you in his position?
“Oh my god, you can’t say it.”  It was your turn for your eyes to widen.  You grit your teeth in an attempt to seem unphased, but given your face felt as though it was the same temperature as the sun, you knew it was in vain.
“You can’t say it! Look how red you are!” Keaton, even still in a compromised position, chuckled at the realization.
“Shut up, feather face!”
“Oh wingo, don’t be like that.  You’re adorable,”
“Careful Keaton, I still have one more trick up my sleeve.” He narrowed his gaze and smirked.
“Do you? Are you going to tickle me some more? I already figured that,” he replied, emphasizing that damn word.
“And just wait, wingo, I’ll have my payback. You’ll be tickled to tears again, and you won’t even see it coming.” You were a thoroughly flustered mess at this point, but still took in a deep breath…
“And the best part is I know you’ll even look forward to it, 'cause you like being tickled-AHHH! HAHAHA NOHOHOHO!”
You exhaled vigorously in the crook of Keaton’s neck, vibrating his nerves into such a frenzy, he didn’t know how to respond. He thrashed pretty violently as opposed to earlier, so you figured he was eating his teasing words and held as firm as you could. Your breath did run out eventually and you sat back up to look at the giggling mess beneath.
“I’m sorry, were you saying something?”
“Whahahat did you do?”
“I’m not playing that game again!” You threatened, taking in another deep breath.
“Nonononono wahait wingo I’m serious! Whahat was that? Keaton frantically spoke, and you could tell he was genuine in his question. And it dawned on you.
“Oh... OH! You’re birds!” you chuckled, “You actually probably don’t know what a raspberry is!” He looked at you as if you’d lost your mind.
“What does fruit have to do with it?”
“Ha, no, no, that’s just what it's called. I don’t know why.”
“Well, I’m not a fan!”
“I think they’re a fan of you, though.”
“Wingo don’t-BWAHAHAHAHA! DAAHAHAMN THIS FRUHUIT!” You sputter, laughing at your friend’s comment, and stood, releasing Keaton from your hold.  He barely registered his freedom, more concerned with refilling his lungs.  You patted his chest.
“You all right?”
“*huff* I think I’ll make it.”
“Good, I’m glad! We can go whenever you’re ready, then,” you said cheerily, then knelled to meet him at eye level.
“There’s plenty more where that came from if you want to try me again.” You stood again and walked away, heading toward the front door.  Keaton paused for a moment, not expecting a threat, but stood quickly.
“HA! You’re on, friendo.  Just after we crash this party.  Again.”

Pssst Cobalt
I know I do this a lot but guess what
Tell me about interior design stuff you like! What's your favourite colour scheme? what's one specific thing that causes a visceral reaction of some kind? what is one of your favouritest things in either the construction of the space or ways to fill it? I wish to know
OKAY.
so i don’t know all the professional terms- i enjoy interior design more from a “ooo that looks Good” perspective not really a “i know why x y and z works together it’s because of the shittyflurbo rule-“
BUT. i really like neutral tones- greens, greys, blues, browns. i like neutral schemes that have a bit of color to em, and just like- incorporating different textures in order to have a cozy feel. like- you take a soft couch and a blanket with chunky knit and have curtains and strategically scattered little bits and bobs? *good.* good.
i try to kinda incorporate this into how i did my room- my room is actually pretty vibrant! the general color scheme is more so like- bold cobalt blue (heh) with blacks and grays- it’s not as like. Chill vibes as what i’d say is good for like living rooms and such but it’s a bedroom! it’s more so a place to align with my personal style, less of a shared living area. kinda how i see it is that like- shared spaces are more ambiguous and neutral, but things like bedrooms can be Whatever You Want it’s Your Room. also since the walls are white and we’re not allowed to repaint- i had to get pretty creative with things to take up wall space! nothing i hate more than a blank white room, so i have lots of little decorations and shelves and i have various album covers i made out of different mediums, i have some chains made of soda tabs draping from one corner of the ceiling and a little like- i can’t call it a tapestry. it’s a halloween decoration that’s just like this black knit tablecloth (?) that’s made to look like a spiderweb that i stole and put by my bed. (the way my bed is laid out is so weird. it’s like- it’s against the wall but not against the wall from the headboard. it’s so stupid but i love it.)
i really just like- i think that too much empty blank space is Bad. FUCK minimalism all my homies HATE minimalism. though i’m also not a huge fan of like- the typical “maximalist” designs cause one- a lot of the maximalist designs are kinda based in more dated patterns and details which- nothing wrong with, i just am not a fan. and also cause i feel like- there’s Too much going on. i like a good balance, i want there to be enough going on that you aren’t left with negative space, but like any art piece, negative and positive space is equally important.
as far as filling spaces- i like both shelves and kinda like- i’m not a huge fan of framed things. that’s just a personal thing- i don’t like things that are excessively fancy for no reason and framed things feel excessively fancy for no reason. like- if i could choose between a framed painting and the same painting but no frame, just the canvas- i’m going for painting with no frame. i also really like what i mentioned with my room- the little black tablecloth-turned-tapestry, it provides such a nice way to take away some negative space while still being fairly simple and not too distracting from other focal points. curtains are also amazing, they can really make or break a whole room’s atmosphere. i changed my curtains a while back from plain white ones to these bold blue ones with black trim and it just- makes the whole room come together better. it kinda helps carry the vibe of “teenager who just wants a space to make his own” that my room holds and i specifically crafted for that vibe
i’m kinda just thinking of style stuff now and like- i mentioned my idea on minimalist vs maximalist, but also like? fancy verses messy. i guess? just like. i don’t like disaster, obviously. i’m a fairly neat person by nature, my room being a mess Stresses Me Out. but also like- it i’m in a house i want it to feel Lived In. i don’t want everything to be perfectly neat and tidy and put away. i want evidence of life, evidence that this is not a static environment. small details like sticky notes in a mirror, plants, books laid haphazardly on a table. i really like those.
kinda just- with interior design stuff, i just. i like whatever makes the place feel like a Home. i want a place to feel lived in, to feel right, i want a place that i feel cozy and that i can just sit down on the countertop and drink hot chocolate or just lay on the couch and vibe. for me the key to just kinda- any design stuff is a good medium, at least for my personal taste. not so cluttered that it’s overwhelming, not so blank that the emptiness is equally overwhelming. not so fancy that it feels like a waiting room, not so messy that it’s stressful. just. a good medium, furniture that isn’t so absurdly trendy that it gets dated in a couple years, places to display fun knickknacks and a place that can tell a story of the person who lives there. i feel like that’s the real goal of interior design: not to have the nicest place possible, not to have a place that they’ll feature on HGTV, not to have the best house to sell: the goal is to showcase a story of the person who lives there.

Michelangelo's Autumn Sketch Battle 3★ story (1/2) ( 1 - 2 )
Location: terrace (morning) | Characters: Michelangelo, Aoi/MC
Tumblr media
Aoi: (Just a few more days until the sketch battle! I want everyone to be fully prepared for the challenge, so I'll ask everyone to check what they need as soon as possible.)
(Still, I'm hearing about the sketch battle all over town, too. Not so long ago, there would have been little interest in a sketch competition being held… That's how much art has permeated Palette City. If only we could keep this up and make it more exciting…!)
Michelangelo: …
Aoi: (Ah, it's Michelangelo-kun. It looks like he's painting today, not sculpting. That's unusual, since most of the time he works in his room or in the atelier…)
Michelangelo: … Heh, guess it's somethin' like this.
Aoi: Hello, Michelangelo-kun.
Michelangelo: Ah, director.
Aoi: I see you're painting outside today.
(He's starting to get out of his room more than before, which is probably a good trend.)
The scenery changes with the seasons and it's a nice change of pace. It's good to paint outside.
Michelangelo: No, it's not that…
Aoi: Uh? It isn't?
Michelangelo: This is just practice to get used to being outside.
Aoi: R-Really…
(I'm not sure what Michelangelo's reasons are for getting used to being outside….)
But why bother practicing when you can go out these days?
Michelangelo: You say goin' out, but it's only for a lil' while. A tournament means you'll be outside all morning, right? It's different from paintin' in a room, 'cause it's so much more crowded outside. Plus, I heard there's gonna be a lot of people... So I'm gonna get used to it while I still can.
Aoi: I see…
(Michelangelo-kun is thinking positively, isn't he? If it was when we had just met, he might not have even participated in the first place…)
Hey, can I see the picture you were drawing, if you don't mind?
Michelangelo: Do what you want.
Aoi: Thank you.
(Michelangelo-kun was very expressive before, but now he's more…)
Michelangelo: … How is it?
Aoi: Every detail has been painted with great care. I can sense Michelangelo's attention to detail. Usually you tend to focus on the muscles, but today it's a landscape painting, so it's balanced overall. There's nothing in particular that concerns me at this stage, so I guess you'll just have to try adding some color to it.
Michelangelo: I see… Then, when I finish it, will you lemme know what you think?
Aoi: Of course! If it's okay with me, I'll look at it anytime.
Michelangelo: … Mh.
Aoi: (Michelangelo-kun listens properly and asks for feedback himself…)
You've been more open than usual, it's unusual, isn't it?
Michelangelo: … It's not about bein' open or anythin' like that. It's just that that guy says a lotta stuff. If I don't draw it right, he'll be annoyin' and tedious.
Aoi: (By “that guy” he means Da Vinci-kun, right? Whatever the reason, I'm glad he's willing to do it.)
Come to think of it, it looks like the weather is going to be really nice that day. The wind seems to be blowing, so I'm sure you'll be able to draw comfortably, won't you?
Michelangelo: Really…?
Aoi: Really, I'm sure of it.
Michelangelo: If you say so... Well, I believe you.
Aoi: (It's not just Michelangelo-kun and the others, everyone else is also motivated… Fufu, I'm looking forward to that day.)

Feeding Haru
Author's Note: This story was written as part of a contest on DeviantArt, in which I did well enough to win some art. Here's that art: https://www.deviantart.com/newmetrack/art/Squish-805144053
When the doorbell to Ann’s apartment rang, her heart skipped a beat with surprise and anticipation. It had been so long since she saw Haru, and she was excited to catch up face to face. Sure, they chatted frequently on the phone or through chat messages, but it wasn’t the same as being together in person. Ann punched the air in celebration as she silently celebrated her great timing, having the hotpot dinner finish right on time. She turned everything off and headed for the door. She wasn’t sure if the frilly pink apron over a tank top and short jean shorts was leaving her underdressed, but she didn’t want to worry about that now. She opened the door, and for a moment she didn’t recognise the woman standing before her. If it wasn’t for the distinctive curly hair, Ann would have asked who it was. The Haru that Ann remembered from back in their Phantom Thieves days didn’t have hips almost as wide as the doorway, nor a belly that stretched out an already fairly large fluffy pink sweater and thighs that were each bigger that both of Ann’s thighs put together. Ann also couldn’t help but notice Haru’s chest, with breasts that seemed like they were the size of her head. Ann saw that the fat on Haru’s body had extended everywhere, with thick arms, a rounder, softer face and even pudgy hands and feet. Ann tried to shake all of that out of her head and greet her guest.
“H-Haru! It’s so good to see you,” Ann said with a nervous smile.
“Hello Ann, it’s a pleasure to see you again too,” Haru replied with a small, sweet smile and a little nod. Ann stood dumbly, not able to tear her eyes away from Haru until her mind properly kicked into gear.
“Please, come take a seat,” she said, gesturing to a well-used sofa in front of a small TV.
“Thank you, Ann. It was quite the walk to get here,” Haru commented as she took a seat. Ann saw that Haru was taking up the room of almost two people, which was going to be an issue for Ann, since she was left with about three-quarters of the room she probably needed. She then saw Haru sniff the air. “Oh my, what is that delightful smell?” she asked excitedly.
“Oh, heh, that’s the hotpot I was making for us to share. I’m gonna go serve it up now,” Ann said, forcing her legs to move in the direction of the kitchenette in the room. As she was serving up the food, a quiet voice in her head was telling her to put some extra in Haru’s bowl. That voice was countered by her desire to not make things weird, so two more or less identical bowls were prepared and put on trays to bring over to Haru, right after she ditched her apron. Haru balanced her tray on the arm of the couch and picked up the bowl with her hands. “Oh, careful, it’s hot,” Ann quickly warned. Haru paused and looked at the bowl, as if that would give her more information.
“I’ve dealt with worse in my eagerness to eat, this isn’t too bad,” she said, preparing her chopsticks. “Also, I don’t have much room on my lap anymore,” she added, causing Ann’s eyes to flick over to where Haru’s lap would have been if her belly wasn’t covering most of it.
“Hah, yeah, you’re right,” Ann said nervously, not wanting to make a big deal out of that metaphorical elephant in the room, before going to take her seat. She squeezed in between Haru’s wide rear and the sofa’s arm. Haru apologised and tried to shift over, but over time she seemed to ever so slowly shift back towards Ann. Ann was now very glad she was underdressed, as she was feeling awfully warm for some reason, reasons that she was unconvincingly telling herself did not include Haru. The pair made polite small talk as they ate, but Ann couldn’t help but get distracted by Haru’s impressively large body and how quickly she was demolishing her bowl of hotpot. Haru’s occasional comments about her new size, weight and eating ability certainly didn’t help either, but Ann did her best not to engage Haru on those topics, for fear that the reply that fell out of her mouth would be something embarrassing, awkward or just a general bad idea. Within minutes, Haru had powered through her decent sized bowl and let out a content sigh.
“That was very good, Ann. Would it be an issue if I wanted more?” Haru asked. That comment seemed to spark something inside of Ann, and Ann had a very strong desire to feed that spark as well as Haru.
“Yeah, sure thing, I’ll get you some more,” Ann agreed quickly, shooting up and shooting over to the kitchenette to refill Haru’s bowl. This carried on a couple of times, with Ann’s own food occasionally being pecked at, thanks to Ann’s attention being elsewhere. Specifically, it was aimed at her filling friend. She watched as her friend’s belly slowly bloating up as bowl after bowl went into Haru’s belly. She felt herself getting even warmer and failed to notice her cheeks slowly go red.
In an amount of time that felt too quick to be real, Haru had finished off everything that Ann had cooked, with Ann even giving Haru the rest of her food. Haru leaned back in her seat and let out a half groan, half moan as her sweater rode up to reveal her big, globular belly, pale with a handful of red and silver stretch marks running up over her plump flesh.
“Ah, that was incredible. Thank you so very much,” said a very content Haru to a bright red Ann.
“H-happy to help,” Ann said with a goofy, nervous smile. “I didn’t know you would eat so much.”
“I wouldn’t have a body like this with moderation in my meals,” Haru cheerily explained. “Of course, you probably wouldn’t have known how big I had gotten with the terrible luck that kept us from seeing each other.” Haru began instinctually rubbing her belly, having to stifle the occasional moan. Ann’s shaky hand seemed to drift towards the exposed bloated mass on its own. Ann noticed it and grabbed her wandering hand to get it to behave. Then, when she took a moment to actually think about it, she realised that she still very much wanted to touch the belly. Still, consent seemed like a good idea. She quickly rehearsed a smooth and polite line that was guaranteed to let her get her hands on that belly. What actually came out, on the other hand…
“H-Haru, can I… well, can I give you a belly rub? O-only if you want me to, of course,” said Ann, stumbling her way through her line and going way off script. Still, the big, sweet smile Haru gave Ann really reassured Ann.
“Of course you can, Ann. Just make sure you are careful with it, it is very full,” Haru agreed. Ann shuffled up and leant on Haru’s soft body as her hands gently glided across Haru’s expansive body. That spark from earlier had turned into a raging inferno. Ann wanted more, but she was also smart enough to know not to push things too far. Of course, that didn’t stop her from suggesting that they take things further.
“So, Haru, how full are you? Like, totally full or just stopping so you don’t go overboard?” Ann asked, her playful flirtatiousness slipping out, not that Ann minded.
“The second option. I know I have to get back home after this, so I am restraining myself somewhat. If this was at my home, I would have no restraint,” Haru explained, her voice taking on a sultry undertone that Ann hadn’t heard before, but she loved every syllable of it and every shiver it sent up her spine.
“Ooh, tell me more about that. I bet you can put away a lot of food when you work hard at it,” Ann encouraged.
“Oh absolutely. There have been nights I took my food to bed, since I knew I wouldn’t be able or willing to get up afterwards, with how stuffed I was.” Ann squirmed as Haru talked, her thighs rubbing together on their own.
“Well, I can fold this sofa into a bed. If you don’t have any plans tomorrow, you could stay the night, and I can make sure you’re well fed,” Ann offered. Haru enthusiastically agreed, the couch was folded out into a bed and every snack Ann could scrounge up was brought over. Ann’s eager hands and Haru’s seemingly infinite hunger made short work of the snacks too. Despite how quickly the snacks seemed to disappear, the snacks certainly had an effect on Haru. Her belly rose into the air, firm and round, but still with a decent amount of jiggle thanks to the generous amount of fat on her body. Haru’s blissful face was also another clear side effect of the mountain of food that she had eaten that evening. It got even better for Haru when Ann’s hands went to work, massaging her massive belly, helping settle her stomach. Still, there was a certain ‘itch’ she wanted to scratch, and she was in no state to deal with it, like usual when she stuffed herself silly. With Ann starting to grind up against her, Haru hoped that Ann would be brave enough to make the next move. When Ann leaned around to catch Haru’s eyes, Haru had some hopes for what she’d say. “Hey, Haru, mind if I get you out of her skirt and tights? They’re looking a little too tight,” Ann asked, putting an excited smile on Haru’s face.
“Go ahead,” she said in a breathy voice. In moments, Haru’s skirt and tights were off, showing off Haru’s thick and flabby thighs and a gigantic pair of plain black panties that were giving their all to not explode off of her. While Ann was doing that, Haru made her way out of her jumper and top. When Ann looked up, she saw Haru in just her underwear. At this point Ann was brainmeltingly horny, and she guessed, or at least hoped, that Haru was feeling the same. Ann decided to throw caution to the wind and try to go all the way.
“I’m gonna get rid of these panties too,” Ann said, the hint of a hungry growl sneaking into her voice.
“Do it,” Haru moaned as she shifted to give Ann the best chance of dealing with those panties. It took slightly more work, but the panties were quickly dealt with too, leaving Haru’s core exposed. Ann rested a hand on the entrance to Haru’s core, waiting for a reaction. When all she heard was a little moan, Ann began to slowly slip her fingers into Haru’s core and get to work. The noises Haru began to make made it blindingly obvious that Ann had made the right choice. It also made her own arousal a little more obvious. To deal with that, Ann used her free hand to pop her shorts open, slip her hand in under her panties and start fingering herself. Ann then realised that she wasn’t giving Haru the belly rub she deserved. So, rather ungracefully, Ann began rubbing her face and body on Haru’s sizable belly. It might not have been an elegant solution, but Ann was all about mushing her face in Haru’s belly fat, and Haru seemed to be enjoying it too. In fact, she was enjoying it so much that that seemed to be what set off her orgasm, as Ann felt Haru’s inner walls pulse and clench around her fingers and felt Haru’s body squirm and spasm, making her entire body wobble and jiggle with every movement. This erotic display was too much for Ann as she hit her point of no return, diving headlong into one of the best orgasms she had ever had.
As the pair rode their orgasms out, Ann gently lowered herself onto Haru’s pillowy body and gave Haru a goofy and sweet smile.
“Oh man, that felt so good,” Ann said in a reverential tone. Haru nodded slowly.
“If you would like, we could… perhaps do this together again some time,” Haru offered. Ann’s eyes lit up.
“Oh my goodness, yes yes yes,” Ann replied, beaming with excitement, before leaning down and resting next to Haru. “Oof, wow, that took more energy than I expected.”
“Agreed,” said Haru, drowsily. “The amount of food in my stomach certainly hasn’t helped either.”
“So… sleepy cuddles?” Ann suggested, reaching heights of adorableness Haru didn’t know was possible.
“That sounds wonderful,” Haru agreed, before lying back and relaxing. It wasn’t long before she was out like a light, and Ann was asleep not long after. As they both enjoyed each other’s warmth, they slept with the sweetest of dreams, excitedly planning more nights together.

idfk why but I’ve been fantasising about being sandwiched between venti and xiao, venti being more of a soft dom whilst xiao is a mean dom
the reader sucks off xiao whilst venti pounds them, then they switch positions
( feel free to ignore this request if you’d like, this is my first time requesting sum like this and idk if I did it properly or not, forgive me )
thanks in advance! have a wonderful day/noon/night <33
Tumblr media
soft dom venti x sub gn reader x dom xiao
WARNINGS = smut, protected sex (condom usage), double penetration (reader receiving), oral (reader giving), threesome, spitroasting, sorta possessive xiao, also xiao being a simp for you bc he is one lol, slight religious connotations bc of venti, use of "windblume" and "dearest/dear" as pet names
W/C = 0.9k
A/N = yknow how some artists don't have a consistent art style...I think I don't have a consistent writing style heh also xiao's not really a mean dom bc I don't write him like that but he is still rough
Tumblr media
The sound of skin slapping against skin accompanied by the bard's melodious moans and the yaksha's guttural groans amalgamated together to create an amorous symphony. Drool dribbled down your chin as you slobbered all over Venti's cock, sucking on it like a starving sinner begging for their god’s grace. At the same time, your tight hole squeezed around Xiao’s cock as he plummeled into you. It’s addictive. Archons, it’s so fucking amazing that it’s making you go delirious on their dicks. Venti’s excitement must have gotten over him as in the next moment, you feel the head of his cock hit the back of your throat, forcing a muffled gag out of you.
“Gaah– hah, was I too rough, dearest?” Venti whispered, his voice light and gentle like a feather floating on the softest breeze. “I’m sorry, windblume…”
He considerably slowed down his thrusts as an apology. You felt his hand pat your head, rubbing in soothing circular motions to further atone for his error. He’s gentle. He’s so, so gentle with you. Always praising you in and out of bed, always quick to apologise. He is so delicate with you that out of instinct, your eyelids fluttered shut and you leaned into his touch.
The man behind you grunted, expressing his displeasure by using his free hand to splay your legs further apart for better access to your gaping hole, only so he can fuck you up even more. Xiao always tries not to let jealousy get to him. Keyword: tries. He tries so hard but you had neglected him all week. Even while he is pleasuring you at this very moment, you’re being all cuddly with Venti. Unexceptable. If he could, he would have latched onto your hips and rammed into you until you were choking on Venti’s cock. But he didn’t do that.
First of all, the three of you agreed to have your hands linked with the two of them throughout the duration of intercourse. This way even if you couldn’t speak, you could tug onto their hands the discussed number of times to signal that you want you to stop. Secondly, he didn’t want to be too rough with you. He is still getting acquainted with the whole act of sex and juggling in finding the balance between rough and gentle. He dislikes being unnecessarily rough with you. You are his most precious and important person after all. But he is still…him.
He’s a touch starved adeptus who only knew battle and didn’t have any experience in love and sex for thousands of years until you came along. It explains why he can get…carried away in the heat of the moment, especially with these tumultuous emotions.
His thrusts were hungry, libidinous and filled with an uncharacteristic desire to devour. Xiao is a selfless man who knows how to share — war conditions forced him to — but when it comes to you, he has a difficult time restraining himself from imprinting his name all over you. Slowing down, Xiao rested his gloved hand by the side of your waist before he sped up once again with a renewed ferocious fever that sent you reeling back with a “mmf!” and a muffled cry of his name.
“You shouldn't– guh! Haah…focus solely on him,” Xiao growled, his head woozy from the feeling of your wet, tight walls pulsing around his cock.
“Oh? Is the austere adeptus finally showing his needy side?”
Xiao’s little “hmph” was easily lost in the midst of all the sloppy noises in the room; sloppy noises that served as fuel to the blazing lust in his core. Thank the archons that he had ridden himself of his and your clothes or his hazy mind would have torn the clothing to shreds. Never would he have thought that he’d prefer you like this — body bare with nothing to hide you from the carnal flame in his golden irises — but he does and seeing you like this makes him feel so fucking hot. You are so hot, from your warm hole that fits him so snuggly and your body and everything and that infectious heat had spread to his brain and gods, if he was going to die from this heat he would die happily.
“Anh– oh no, hah…windblume, I’m so close…” Venti panted. “You’ll swallow all of it, right?”
“I’m close to cumming too…” Xiao sighed, his brutal thrusts mirroring a dog in heat.
Both of them knew that you were close as well. And you proved them right in the next moment; your eyes rolled back as the pressure burst, your hole contracting and squeezing, sending Xiao to his limit soon after, followed by Venti less than a moment after. Your body shivered as the men slipped out of you before you realised your given instruction and looked up at Venti and swallowed his semen.
“Mmm…well done, dear windblume,” Venti cooed, planting kisses all over your face as Xiao tied up his condom and disposed it in the bin. “Are you tired? Do you need a break before round two?”
You nodded, nuzzling into the bard’s neck.
“Alright, let’s cuddle,” he giggled, pushing you to the bed and wrapping his arms around you. “Xiao! Join us!”
“After this…” Xiao hesitated as he got under the covers. “I would like to use their mouth.”
“Then it’s only fair I take their other hole, right?” Venti purred as he stroked your head, causing you to whimper in exhaustion and anticipation.

anotha one if youre down: bakugo’s reaction to his funny himbo bf’s new neck tattoo. it was the only place he didnt have tats seeing as he had sleeves and stuff so when he comes back to the dorms from getting it bakugo’s sees and reacts. can be sfw or nsfw whatever you wanna do with it !!
sorry this one is a bit short !!
charming
Tumblr media
pronouns: he/him
warnings: nothing really other than bakugou swearing and idk if tattoos count?
_____
It’s a common stereotype that those with tattoos on school grounds are considered to be delinquents. they gave off the impression that whoever had them is a "bad person" and how some schools will prohibit this type of behavior and not allow their students to get them. however, UA is not the case, the school shows no problem with students or staff getting tattoos. in fact, a third year in class 1A called y/n is practically built-up of tattoos and there was almost no area on his body that isn't covered by one of those amazing art pieces.
you might think that y/n is a delinquent or a bad student based off all the tattoos he has. but in reality y/n is one of the best students in class 1A. he has amazing grades and is top 5 in the class. not only that he is also incredibly nice to his friends and the people around him. sure he may give off a scary vibe when you first meet him due to his build but once you actually get to know the guy you'll realize he is actually nothing like what he looks like, in fact he's a huge himbo for his boyfriend who also happens to be in his class, bakugou katsuki.
bakugou didn't mind y/n's tattoos at all. he doesn't say it directly but he thinks they're cool. the intricate patterns carved onto his boyfriends skin mesmerized him whenever he saw it. however we all know someone like bakugou would never admit to it due to his personality so whenever y/n gets a new tattoo bakugou's reaction is usually "tch, whatever cool i guess."
it was early in the morning on a sunday that bakugou had realized the man he was hugging to sleep is not in his grasp anymore. he woke up and made himself a cup of coffee and fixed some breakfast while he's at it. it was a chill day so bakugou decided to take a break instead of sprinting to ground gamma and having a duel with deku. y/n was known for being pretty energetic so bakugou was used to him being gone when he woke up. but just to be sure where he is bakugou unplugged his phone from his nightstand and shot y/n a text.
"oi y/n, where tf are u off to this time"
"you'll see, it's a surprise ;D"
bakugou scoffed at his phone and threw it aside knowing you were up to something again.
it wasn't long before the silence broke in bakugou's dorm, he heard a few knocks on his door and "wondered who could it have possibly been"
"babe! open the door" you said with an ecstatic voice. it's like bakugou could almost hear the smile in your voice
"yah yah i'm coming"
bakugou opened the door to see his boyfriend's neck region covered with some small patterns of bombs and the shape of his grenade gauntlet.
"tada! do you like it? i showed the tattoo artist a picture of your gloves and told them i wanted this pattern."
"heh? what the hell n/n, next thing you know you're entire fucking face is gonna be covered in some random art."
"well thank you darling i think it looks nice too"
"alright whatever at least your home now, i made some eggs cuz i know you didn't eat again when you left in the morning." bakugou said while turning his head to the kitchen
"ehehe you really do know me well huh katsuki."
"of course i do, i'm your fucking boyfriend."
something about those words really made your heart melt. the aggressively caring katsuki, you liked how he showed affection and it was a perfect match to your positive personality to balance out his negative one.
the two of you enjoyed some daily news while cuddling on the coach when suddenly an amazing idea popped into your head.
"katsuki! you should get a tattoo too! that way we can match!"
"pft, what makes you think i'm gonna get one of those on my body? it's not worth the money or the time, i'm fine with how i look anyways."
"aww c'mon babe i'll pay for it we'll look so cute together"
"nu-uh."
"i bet you're probably just too afraid to get a tattoo~ you're scared it's gonna hurt huh" you said with a smirk
"HA??!! WHO DO YOU THINK I AM, DEKU?! TAKE ME TO THAT TATTOO PLACE FIRST THING AFTERSCHOOL TOMORROW, I'M NOT SCARED OF JACK SHIT."
"yay babe you're the best!" you said as you snuggled katsuki to death.

the great adventures of y/n tommy wilbur and george - the water olympics
requested:yes/no
part 9 to the great adventures series
warnings: cursing, a suicide joke (the one george made in the vlog)
you were currently sat in your bedroom editing a video for your youtube channel however someone had different plans as you heard your parents talking to someone telling them you were in your room and that they could go straight up
“Y/N ITS ME CAN I COME IN”
you laughed before getting up placing your laptop on your desk before opening your door letting your friend inside.
“what is it with people randomly showing up where I live”
“ill have you know I asked your parents”
“Pfft yeah okay Tommy sure you did. anyway I’m glad you’re here editing was beginning to make me want to throw my laptop”
“you are honestly so dramatic pass us your laptop I’ll edit for you if you let me stay the night as it’s about to rain”
“you brought a backpack with you...you clearly planned on staying the night anyway but yes it’s a deal”
Tommy laughed before sitting on your bed waiting for you to bring the laptop over and sit next to him keeping him entertained as he edits for you. it was around late afternoon when he finished editing the video and you spent the entire time telling him about your merch plans and getting the sizes and items he’s going to want as you were planning on sending him some when you’ve agreed on a final design and products
“all done I want full credit for editing”
“hey I edited like a whole 3 minutes of the video..fine fine just stop staring at me like that”
the two of you realised it was a little late and neither of you wanted to cook anything so decided to go to a local restaurant. a few hours later you arrived back home it was pretty late now so your parents had gone to bed so you had to keep reminding each other not to yell, once in your room the pair of you collapsed onto your bed, you rolled over to face Tommy
“So why are you actually here huh, what’s going on in that mind of yours”
“I know it’s short notice but tomorrow afternoon would you like to go to this inflatable water course with me will and George”
“I don’t have anything else to do so I’d be more than happy to come with you guys what time do we need to be awake, we may as well set an alarm now in case we fall asleep as I tend to sleep in really late”
“I’ve got it don’t worry about it”
Tommy set an alarm as you logged into Disney plus so you and Tommy could watch tv for a while before deciding on sleeping arrangements, you put on the good dinosaur and instantly regret that decision as you began ranting to Tommy about how the films depressing. soon enough the pair of you fell asleep.
at 9 am Tommy's alarm went off waking the pair of you up
“y/n get up we’re going to a lake”
“Okay okay I’m up”
Tommy went to the bathroom to get ready so you could get ready in your room a few minutes later you both made your way downstairs grabbing a snack you could eat whilst you waited for your taxi to arrive. the pair of you arrived at the lake first, George arrived next and that’s when you noticed Wilbur show up and George beginning to record what’s happening
“Tommy is he wearing a suit?” you tilted your head to the left as Wilbur stepped out of the car
“it worked George”
“Why are you wearing a suit?”
“for the meal”
“we’re not doing the restaurant”
your eyes widened and you tried to hide your laughter as Tommy said he couldn’t change as he only hired three wetsuits, you all made your way to get your wetsuits, Wilbur reluctantly following you all as soon as you all stepped in several people began to stare at you all
“they’re staring at me because I’m wearing a suit”
George laughed before telling him it could also be because your hair was awfully similar to a highlight. you lightly hit his shoulder before rolling your eyes
“rude”
you laughed as you went away to get changed returning a few moments later
“I’m ready boys oh they gave will a life jacket”
“Why do you sound so disappointed”
“you not a fan of drowning then?”
“no, I’m not!”
Tommy grabbed your hand and ran towards the water before jumping in taking you down with him
“TOMMY I HATE YOU”
“HELP ME”
“NO SUFFER”
soon enough will and George made it onto the inflatable, Tommy tried to film his intro however the fact you and George were jumping in the background made it rather difficult. Tommy ran to Wilbur who pushed him into the water
“HA GET FUCKED”
you made your way across but saw Tommy in the water making you laugh which made you fall in the water too
“well hello again y/n”
“Hello Tommy funny seeing you here”
George managed to help you up whilst Wilbur pretended to help Tommy up before walking away. Tommy just held onto the inflatable whilst looking at you
“fine”
you reached your hand out and helped him back up onto the inflatable.
you made your way across the bridge Wilbur not far behind you so he could push Tommy off of the bridge into the water, he did but fell with him, you fell over laughing as George went to help Wilbur but ended up falling in himself. you George and Tommy ran to a high point of the course which will wanted you all successfully defended it and even managed to push will into the water. you and George weren’t the best at this course you had fallen three times and George fell twice
“look at them both”
Tommy turned around to see you and George in the water again as the pair of you fell once back on the inflatable you both made your way back to the others however George slipped and grabbed your arm trying to stay up ultimately dragging you down with him
“When is it my turn to be happy”
you all made your way to the canopy without falling, well that was until Tommy decided to lean on it causing it to fall into the water taking Tommy with it
“bye tom”
“he’s stuck save him”
“Nah this is funny”
Wilbur ended up helping him by making it so he could actually climb onto the inflatable
“you’re embarrassing us in front of the lifeguards”
you made your way across the course this time you didn’t fall as much as you did earlier on in the day, Wilbur went to push Tommy into the water again however this time you and George decided to get payback and attempted to side tackle him so he fell into the water
“bye will”
will finally got back onto the inflatable and pulled you aside
“We should form an alliance...I wouldn’t leave you behind”
“deal”
“When I say meet you there you start running the course I'll make sure you don’t fall”
“understood let’s do this”
you got ready to go as will told Tommy and George that the truces weren’t working and there was only one way to settle it
“meet you there”
you started running across the course you were doing surprisingly well, Wilbur only had to prevent you from falling once and that was because you lost balance over one obstacle
“I've got you! keep going”
eventually, you both turned around to see that Tommy and George finally set off and were making their way to you both
“we’re team weak..strong every day of the week”
you managed to contain your laughter as George fell as soon as Tommy said that
“we’ll be team pussy”
soon enough they caught up you and will went to push Tommy into the water however George snuck up behind you both and pushed you into the water
“ah yes water my good friend we meet again”
will helped you up first then you helped him up will noticed George fell and went to push him in the water whilst you made your way to Tommy
“I call this the leg turrent”
“you plan on doing this forever heh?”
you helped George back up whilst Wilbur tackled Tommy further down the course
“oh Tommy is still on the floor”
“what have you done to him”
you made your way to Tommy with George only to hear Tommy yell about the art of deception followed by a splash and Tommy's laughter. George got up to go get the drinks but fell again then stood up slowly turning to face you all
“that was called comedy.. I'll go get the drinks kills myself”
“the hydration is good”
“ah thanks, George you see I’ve personally been spending the majority of my time in the water”
Tommy ran over to you all then fell into the water making you all laugh followed by Wilbur telling him to complete the line about how many people are and are not subscribed to his vlog channel
“When did George fall into the water”
“How are you guys feeling for a race”
“I’m down”
“right you and George are going to run that way around, y/n and I will run this way and we’ll meet at the nub we fought for”
“winner gets to launch the other of that big floppy thing”
“GO”
Tommy and George ran off before you two however you and will made it to the nub before the others, mainly because neither of you fell and worked together.
“come across Tommy we will let you have the win if you make it across that”
Tommy ran at the bridge however he fell three quarters over the bridge
“oh fucking hell”
“he tried”
you and will helped Tommy up however George ran over
“George you’re ruining the moment” Wilbur pushed him over the edge into the water
“bye again George”
“let’s go back to the nub”
“I think me and y/n technically won”
“friends?”
“friends”
Tommy decided to shake hands with will and made you go over to him so he could give you a hug you stood with will filming Tommy for the outro you waved bye to Tommy as he fell a rather long distance into the water, once will stopped recording he pushed you into the water from the same height
“WILL I'M GOING TO KILL YOU”
once you all dried off and got ready you and Tommy made your way back to yours as it was late you agreed Tommy may as well stay the night again, the pair of you spent the night playing games together and arguing about who won the game you missed spending time with just Tommy and he missed spending time with you so you were both incredibly thankful he decided to come over to yours a few days earlier than expected.
