My last nightmare: (January 10th, 2020)
(None of this is well-written or thought-out. There’s probably typos, or errors, but I wrote it out because my nightmares suck, and I was told once to record them. I wrote it out, still half asleep.) So I'm a black woman, with this amazing, springy, short curly hair. Personally, as a white gal, I'm not used to it, and I keep playing with it. It sounds stupid, but I've never been given that opportunity before. I'm beautiful (from my point of view, but 'I'/she doesn't think so as much). She is actually really soul crushing about how mean she is to herself. It hurts me to hear others think that way about themselves. But I know I do it too some days. She's stunning, but she thinks she's plain. 'Nothing much', as 'she' puts it. But that line between reality and the dream fade, and I'm her now. I'm a black, lesbian woman, who's dating and living with a Latina woman, named Marie. She has this beautiful skin. It looks like dark honey and feels like silk, and I know every inch of her body. Her long, straight hair, it almost reaches her waist, and she's been growing it out for years. She told me so. A whole history between us, and I don't know where it came from, but I love her and I know it. I met her at a local bar. Just by a single glance. A 'save me' glance. I'd never been a 'love at first sight' kinda gal, but I fell in love with her the minute she smiled at me, and twisted away from some 'I bet I can make you like dick' dude. I had come up to monitor the issue as it seemed this beautiful chick was getting harassed. I walked over, straightened my shoulders to give off a more powerful vibe, and threw my arm around her, smiled sweetly at her, and said, "Is this idiot being a douche canoe?" She leaned over, and kissed me abruptly. The men hooted and hollered, then she turned around, grabbed his beer from his hand, and poured it over his fucking head. We both got kicked out of the bar, but I'd never laughed so hard. It was worth it. We spent the rest of the night, chatting in some cheap-ass pizza place, sipping from her 'hidden flask' and sharing a slice of pizza that was basically a quarter of a pizza. She's fucking stunning, she smart, with the sharpest wit I'd ever experienced, and I love her. I love her so much. I'm going to marry her, when the law passes in America, and I know it. She works as an RN at our nearest hospital. She'd moved here for the work (I didn't know nurses had to move to find work? Is that true? I'm still weirded out by this after waking) -- so she meets a bunch of new people, and I'm one of the first she meets just by this bar-experience. I remember everything about her. I remember her name was Marie Anne Juarez. She was disowned by her family when she came out of the closet, and things had been tough for her for a long time. She worked two jobs, and occasionally a part-time gig on top when the other two weren't enough. After she saved up, she put the money into school, rented the tiniest room she could find, and found a better full-time job. Somewhere else with 12-hour shifts, and worked her ass off. She'd felt alone for a long time, but she found her relationships with another tight knit group of LGBTQ through me. When we first met, she was quiet at the beginning of the night-- but sassy as fuck. Once she opened up, I knew those small smirks/grins, and smiles led to sass and funny comments. We were both somewhat sarcastic, and we both giggled over a lot of the same things. When she started her RN career, she worked 16-hours straight, but she never complained (do nurses really work that long?? Like holy shit...). I lived with her later on. I remember her panties. How she liked booty shorts, (my favourites were her black with neon orange elastic) and lace thongs specifically (Easter colors always outside of a handful of black pairs). How pink and this mustard yellow were her favourite colours. They matched her skin tone, nearly black eyes, and dark hair. I remember where the window in our bedroom was. Our queen-sized bed. I remember that she always blow-dried her hair straight even though it was wavy to curly. How much she loved the 'natural' look when it came to make-up except for liner and mascara. Maybe that's a nurse thing. No time for anything else. One night I came home from work, made a quickie stupid dinner because I beat her home, and she didn't show. The police called me, and said she was at X-hospital. God forbid I remember what hospital it was in my dream. I went immediately. They wouldn't let me see her, even though I was her 'emergency contact'. They said, "Only family." And I wasn't 'family'. I was her fucking girlfriend. And even if I was her fianceé, I was female, and oh my gosh, the scandal! Even though her family hadn't talked to her in years -- and no 'family' would be coming to visit -- I had to wait outside. I wasn't allowed to see her. When she finally walked out she was wearing hospital clothing -- they'd taken her clothing as 'evidence'. She told me everything then. In a quiet voice, and without seemingly to stop and breathe -- all at once, and just once, she told me everything. All while avoiding my gaze, and refusing my touch -- I can’t hold her hand, I can’t brush too close, or make direct eye contact with her. She had been walking, in her scrubs to her car to the employee parking lot (all under video surveillance), and was sexually assaulted as she was unlocking her car. He raped her between her car, and the car parked next to her. When she tried to resist, he strangled her, and smashed and dragged her face across the concrete. She had bruises around her neck, stitches along her brow and side of her cheek, and butterfly tape across her nose. She told me what happened, and after that -- she refused to speak of it again. She told me that she just needed time. She was given 'leave' from the hospital for 'health reasons' and she stared at the wall or muted television most of the time. I never questioned her, but I begged her to talk to me sometimes. After awhile, when she let me, I held her. I spooned her, and she didn't flinch from my touch; she just clutched me tighter. Enough to leave half-moon marks in the tops of my hand from her nails. And sobbed occasionally. She dry-heaved occasionally, or went on benders trying to clean everything. Anything to dismiss the memory, I suppose.
I would have to stop her at 3AM from doing the dishes. Clutching her to me, and dragging her into my lap to get her to stop, and she would get angry and burst out crying. Or sometimes she just hiccupped and stared at nothing. Sometimes she struggled to get away so she could keep cleaning. I kept us afloat. I knew she was going through bad shit. I was there. I saw it first hand. Tucked in bed with her, fully clothed -- this wasn't the time to ask questions. Just be there for her, and do what I can. I just wanted to glue all the broken pieces back together. I still had to work, and leave her alone all day to keep us afloat, and I hated leaving her. I would text her throughout the day, reminding her how much I loved her. How amazing she was. I came home two months after the assault, and the sink was on. I could hear it through the thin walls of our small house while I was unlocking and pushing open the door of our side entrance. The sink was running full blast, and I was so confused. The sink was overfilling. Did she fall into a depression sleep while doing the dishes? There was water all over the floor. I yelled her name, and stepped forward to turn off the tap but never got to it. Our kitchen was small. A small island of grey/white/black splatters that matched the surrounding counters. But as I stepped in, keeping my sneakers on to avoid the water, I noticed the water had a weird amber/brown rust colour to it the closer to the sink I got. I stepped in further, and saw her. Laying flat. On the ground. She was still in her scrubs even though she hadn’t been to work in months. She said they were comfortable and reminded her of a better time. They were blue. At least... mostly. But the water... the thin layer of water around her was brown. Reddish brown. It was only then, I noticed she was injured. A angry red slice splitting her skin goes from the inside of elbow straight to the palm of her hand. A paring knife was nearby her other hand. The water has collected around her. It must've been hot or warm at one point -- but it's still running now, and absolutely ice cold now, and her lips are a bluish tinge. I pulled myself away from my inner thoughts, scream her name, and fall on my knees in the murky water. My thoughts aren't clear. I shake her -- reach to check for a pulse -- and there's nothing. I can't find a pulse. I see movies all the time where they say to put your fingers, but I can't find it. I scream in her face to wake up. I scream her name. I'm not at all ashamed to say I pimp slapped the hell out of her while screaming, "WAKE UP!" Nothing worked in the first literal ten seconds -- so I ended up calling 9-1-1. No idea how I grabbed, or dialed my cell phone, but it happened. I scream for an ambulance, say someone's dying, and give the address. I shouted her name, leaning over her chest to listen. A rattle, a wheeze.... Anything. I take a breath to try calm myself so I can hear over the sound of my blood rushing in my ears, and try again. I tie the nearest tea towel around her arm as tight as I can. I tell her she’s not allowed to leave. I tell her I love her. I tell her to wake up.  I tell her I won’t let her leave. For some reason the whole experience is as slow as quicksand. Slowly sucking the everything out of you before drowning you. I slap Marie again like she owes me money -- like I'm actually angry and not terrified. Then I straddle her hips and push on her diaphragm, and ribs together. I keep screaming at her, and there's wetness on my face. I think it's either from the floor, or I'm crying. She briefly smiles despite the pain I must be causing her, and even though she tries to open her eyes -- they open sluggishly, and the lower part of her eyes show. White and the dark bluish-grey ring of her dark like night eyes. She mutters, "Love you. Sorry." Then her eyes and lungs close. I have heard the goddamn death rattle, and I've ignored it. The water surrounding us looks like it had been soaking in a bath-bomb made of a brick. I am focused and pressing on her chest, and I hear her exhale with each push, but aside from that, I hear nothing except the sink still running that I’ve forgotten to turn off. I have to breathe into her in order to get her chest to inflate. The EMTs come out of nowhere. I am shoved away abruptly -- I am furious, delerious, fighting them -- trying to keep the rhythm of her heart and lungs -- but I am pulled away by two cops after that. It appears 9-1-1 sends cops with the ambulance no matter where they go. I struggle against them, I yell things like, "She's asthmatic! Allergic to cats, cashews, peanuts, but we don't keep that shit in our house!" The cops take me with them to the hospital in the backseat like some bad guy, clothes and hands still drenched and soaked in her blood and the dirty water. I'm not allowed to ride in the ambulance with her. I'm asked so many questions, but I'm not "family". Even though I'm her emergency contact, I can't do anything. The triage nurses insist on me waiting in the waiting room. No one seems to listen to me. They tell me to wait. I'm not allowed in. I'm not 'family’. I wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. When the doctor comes out, his face gives everything away with a gentle shake of his head. I burst into tears, and I start telling him, "No. NO. No, no, no," before he can say anything. I wake up, and I'm crying in my sleep.

New World Order Coming !
: By Daymond Duck   Published on: April 26, 2020
The most important advice that anyone can give a person is to tell them to focus on their relationship with God by putting their faith in Jesus, repenting of their sins and drawing near to Him.
The prophet Amos said, “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).
Some prophecy teachers believe that God has allowed the current Coronavirus Crisis to reveal that the Tribulation Period and New World Order (World Government, World Religion, Mark of the Beast, Rev. 13:7-8, etc.) are close (and by implication the Rapture is closer) and the need to draw near to God is urgent.
Notice how the following current events fit God’s end-of-the-age revelations.
One, according to the prophet John, the top religious leader in the Tribulation Period (the False Prophet) will merge religion with politics (He will pretend to be a holy man but support the antichristian government of the Antichrist; Rev. 13:11-12).
On Apr. 12, 2020 (Easter Sunday), a day to focus on the resurrection of Jesus, Pope Francis released a letter supporting Universal Basic Income (UBI).
UBI is the globalist (world government) idea that everyone on earth should receive a basic income package (free money; free checks; wealth re-distribution).
UBI has been supported by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Elon Musk (head of SpaceX and Tesla), Mark Zuckerberg (founder of Facebook), Democrat Presidential candidates Andrew Yang, Bernie Sanders, and others of note.
This is the problem: If everyone receives a check from their government (and they want to keep getting it), what will happen if their government decides to require them to take the Mark, or the name, or the number of the Antichrist?
Will people take the Mark of the Beast to keep receiving a government check and have the right to buy and sell or will they refuse the check and perish?
This is not far-fetched because people will be denied the right to buy and sell (Rev. 13:16-17), and multitudes will be put to death during the Tribulation Period for refusing to take the Mark (Rev. 20:4).
Anyway, what possessed Pope Francis to talk about UBI on Resurrection Day instead of the resurrection of Jesus?
Two, in Sept. 2015, the UN adopted a document called “Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”
The Preamble of the document called it a “New Universal Agenda.”
The document calls for the establishment of a one-world government, a one-world religion and a one-world economic system by 2030.
On Feb. 4, 2019, Pope Francis and Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, perhaps the most important Imam in Sunni Islam, met in Abu Dhabi to sign an Interfaith Document in the presence of leaders from all of the religions of the world.
The document encourages peace between all religions and says all religions are the will of God and all religions are acceptable to God.
On Feb. 6, 2019, Pope Francis was back at the Vatican where he said the Islamic world and the Christian world will work together to promote common values.
He said, “We commit ourselves to spreading authentic values and peace throughout the world.”
If Jesus is the only way to be saved (and He said He is; John 14:6), how can Pope Francis believe that all religions are acceptable to God when they don’t believe Jesus died for the sins of the world?
If the Bible is the Word of God (and it is), how can Pope Francis say that Christians and Muslims should work together to promote common values?
Christian values come from the Bible, and they cannot be compromised with the teachings of Islam.
A one-world government and a one-world religion will exist at the same time during the Tribulation Period.
If (I say “If” because God is in control and He can speed it up, slow it down or whatever) world leaders succeed with the establishment of a world government by 2030, there will be a world religion by 2030 (and a Rapture before 2030).
If there is a gap of a few years between the Rapture and the beginning of world government (and I believe there will be one), time is short indeed.
It is important to understand that the “New Universal Agenda” (global ethic, common values, world religion) really means forcing everyone on earth to believe what the UN wants them to believe, that internationalism, globalism, abortion, gay marriage, Chrislam, open borders, etc., are good, but nationalism, patriotism, the teaching that there is only one way to be saved, closed borders, etc., are bad – and that the global ethic must be strengthened and Christianity must be weakened.
If globalists think they need to shut the doors of the Church, and ignore the resurrection of Jesus to achieve this, they will (Pope Francis did both).
Three, new believers will be persecuted during the Tribulation Period (Rev. 13:7).
On Apr. 11. 2020, the Chinese government stopped all online services of churches that do not have a government-approved license.
Activities banned by China include worship, prayer, baptisms and Scripture reading.
Several Chinese Christians were arrested for participating in worship services from their homes over the Internet using the Zoom App.
But China is not alone.
In the U.S., the Coronavirus lockdown has caused many churches to close their doors and turn to Facebook and the Internet to get the Word out.
Some U.S. Churches have been censored and blocked.
Some pastors have been told that worship services are illegal (a few have been arrested).
Four, there will be a way to track everyone on earth during the Tribulation Period (Rev. 13:16-17).
Much has been written about Bill Gates’ desire to force everyone on earth to be vaccinated and tattooed with a global ID immunization tracking system.
On Apr. 13, 2020, Roger Stone, former advisor to Pres. Trump, suggested that Gates may have had a part in the creation of the Coronavirus to create a need for a global tracking system.
Now, it is being reported that the FBI, Apple, Google and others are involved in the creation of tracking systems.
Something to remember about taking tattoos is that those that take them find that they are next to impossible to get rid of.
Five, there will be a global economic collapse during the Tribulation Period (Rev. 6:5-6).
On Apr. 15, 2020, the International Monetary Fund reported that all the signs are pointing to a global economic crisis unlike anything that has been seen in decades.
Others are saying that the world is going into a deep recession, and some oil traders are willing to pay people to take their excess oil off their hands.
Six, the Tribulation Period and one-world government will begin when the Antichrist confirms a covenant with many for peace in the Middle East (Dan. 9:27).
Concerning Pres. Trump’s Middle East peace proposal, Prime Min. Netanyahu wants Israel to act very soon because there is no guarantee that Mr. Trump will be re-elected.
On Apr. 20, 2020, Israel’s two main political parties agreed to create a national unity government and start implementing part of Pres. Trump’s peace proposal as soon as July 1, 2020.
This could speed up some of the prophesied wars and rumors of wars.
Seven, the one-world government will be a satanic Antichrist-led government (Rev. 13:5).
On Apr. 14, 2020, Pres. Trump announced the suspension of U.S. contributions to the WHO for 60-90 days for failing to do its job.
The UN (United Nothing as some see it) global organizations are often staffed with political appointees that have impure motives.
They definitely are not the kind of people that leaders should choose to rule the world.
Eight, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog: the war in Syria, U.S. sanctions, low oil prices and a spreading Coronavirus Crisis in Russia is straining Russia’s economy.
Russia’s economic future is looking bleak, and some are predicting that Russia has one year at the most to act before her economy collapses.
The collapse of oil prices could speed this up.
Nine, Israel and Syria will get into a war, and Damascus, Syria, will be destroyed in one night (Isa. 17).
Concerning the destruction of Damascus in one night, Syria is allowing the terrorist group Hezbollah to establish bases on the Golan Heights, and an Israeli official said, “Israel will not allow this.”
Ten, God said, “I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come” (Before the Tribulation Period comes; Joel 2:30-31).
The Apostle Peter referred to this in his famous sermon on the first Pentecost (fire and pillars of smoke before the Tribulation Period; Acts. 2:19-20).
In addition to all the other signs that are shaping up, volcanic eruptions appear to be increasing around the world, and God is the only One that could know that would happen more than 2,000 years before it started happening.
Eleven, Jesus warned everyone about deception at least three times in the Olivet Discourse (Matt. chapter 24-25), so notice the reality of what is taking place and how every jot and tittle of Bible prophecy is literally being fulfilled.
Do not be deceived by the false teachings of Preterists that say all prophecy was fulfilled by 70 A.D. (it wasn’t) and the Replacement Theologians that say Israel has been replaced by the Church (it hasn’t).
The New World Order is coming, ready or not.

Uprising
Sunday Evening Thoughts
April 29, 2018
                                                   Uprising
Dear Paul and Tommy,
And looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled back; --it was very large. Mark 16:4
Once again we conclude our Sunday Evening Thoughts for the year.  Wow, the year went fast!
We conclude tonight with a different understanding of perhaps the most important Christian tenet: The Resurrection. I recently finished a wonderful new book, Resurrecting Easter: How the West Lost and the East Kept the Original Easter Vision by John Dominic Crossan and his wife, Sarah Crossan. He, of course, is a biblical historian and she is a professional photographer.
Tumblr media
Over a period of ten years they travelled all over Europe and the Middle East examining and photographing religious icons of the Resurrection, but studied the icons as a comparison of Western Christianity and Eastern Christianity. Their conclusion: Western Christian icons present the Resurrection as an individual act — Jesus rises from the dead. Eastern Christianity presents the Resurrection as a universal act — Jesus rises from the dead grasping Adam and (sometimes) Eve.
Why is this important? Is the Resurrection an individual act: I follow Jesus, and I get saved, and I go to heaven? Or is it a universal/communal act, we follow the example of Jesus, and we are resurrected, and we establish the kingdom of God?
Here are two examples of the Resurrection as an individual act: The first is a magnificent altarpiece (1181) by Nicholas of Verdun — a master of copper, enamel, and gold — in the Klosterneuburg Abbey in Austria. I am sad to say I had the chance to visit this monastery on our bike-n-barge trip last fall and see this beautiful icon but failed. Alas… Austrian biking and Austrian beer came first!
Tumblr media
The Resurrection icon is a part of a triptych of the complete life of Christ.
Here is a detail of the Resurrection.
Tumblr media
Christ climbs out of his sepulcher/sarcophagus. The tomb guards are subdued: one looks up, one sleeps, and one cowers. The Latin on the bottom identifies Christ as the “Paschal Lamb,” and the surrounding text reads, “The Father gave life after three days in the grave.” My point is Christ alone resurrects.
Another example of an individual resurrection is in the Dominican church of Santa Maria Novella in Florence. In the section of the church identified as the Spanish Church (1365), the ceiling is completely covered in Christ’s life too.
Tumblr media
The detail shows the Risen Christ surrounded in a mandorla. Mandorla means almond in Italian, because most mandorlas are elliptical in shape, like an almond. The significance of the mandorla is interesting in itself. In iconography of the Eastern Orthodox Church, the mandorla expresses a transcendence of time and space. St. Hildegard of Bingen had her own interpretation of the earth and the cosmos in her vision of a mandorla.
Tumblr media
In this detail, starting from the right, we see an example of the empty tomb tradition; next we have the three women who approach the scene (Mark 16:1), then Mary (Magdala? - the text doesn’t say) kneeling at the Risen Christ (John 20:17). But notice how the Risen Christ hovers over the open sarcophagus, alone — an Individual Resurrection Tradition.
Let’s look at two examples of the Resurrection as a Universal Tradition.
The first is the Anastasis (Resurrection) drawn in the Barberini Psalter (1095). A psalter is the prayer book of monks composed mainly of the Psalms and used when they pray (often sing) the Liturgy of the Hours six times per day. Historically, psalters had pictorial renderings on the margins of the page either for illiterate monks who could not read but had memorized the words, or as an added inspiration to the text.
Tumblr media
In this icon, the Resurrected Christ in a mandorla grabs the hand of Adam; Adam then grabs the hand of Eve; Eve then grasps the extended hand of Abel. All have broken free of their sarcophaguses. First Christ rises from grave, shown with the nails of the cross and the key to life, then Adam and Eve (I guess they shared a sarcophagus!), and then Abel. Sadly, only Adam has a corona.
The second Universal Resurrection Tradition is located in the modern city of Istanbul, the ancient city of Constantinople in the Chora Church (Church of the Holy Savior in English). Once again, alas, I did not see this beautiful icon - painted 1315-1321 — when in Istanbul, probably too much chai tea and hookah (it’s tobacco!).
Tumblr media
Christ yanks Adam in his right hand and Eve with his left while he is encased in a star-studded mandorla (again, is it the cosmos?). From the viewers left we have David with the beard, Solomon beardless, and John the Baptist in rough clothing. On the right we see Abel with the staff and a host of others anticipating their resurrection. The Anastasis in Chora Church is a wonderful depiction of the Universal Resurrection tradition.
The Crossans explain dozens of icons of both Eastern and Western traditions in detail and he concludes that according to the biblical text (and the theological meaning of the Resurrection), the Resurrection is a universal/communal act.
Big deal, you say. Why is that important?
The word resurrection is ‘anastasis’ in Greek — literally “raise up” or “up raising.” According to Wiki Words, “In the verb form it means 'to cause to stand or rise up’.”
Think for a moment as to why historically Jesus was executed and what is means? Jesus was executed because he objected to Roman imperialism. His message was antithetical to the prevailing Roman imperial rule of control by military violence. His message was to love others, not fight them, even to the point of “loving your enemy.” Rome makes an example of the nonviolent Jesus using their powerful military force in a violent act — execution by crucifixion. Thus, Jesus’ “up raising” is a more powerful example of nonviolence overcoming violence. In fact, in the gospels Jesus does have the last word on violence!
In Eastern iconography Anastasis does not end with Christ’s Resurrection. Christ grabs the arm/hand of Adam and Eve — symbolizing all of humanity, and “up raises” all people from violence. The resurrected Christ always tramples Hades, and thus symbolically tramples injustice, causing change from a world of violence and injustice to a world of nonviolence and justice. Shortly before the Matthew passion and resurrection scene (Matthew 26-28), someone asks about the “real resurrection.” Jesus answers (Matthew 25), “It’s caring for the poor, caring for prisoner, and caring for those without.” In other words, “real resurrection” is about restoring Justice.
To take it even another step further, isn’t the Anastasis a great example of an “uprising”? Isn’t that what being a Christian really means, to participate in an uprising? Isn’t our participation in Anastasis the nonviolent way the gospels tell us to establish justice? According to Crossan, it is.
Following the example of Christ’s Anastasis is pretty radical stuff if you think about it.
Yet I think it is important to understand the radical nature of the “upraising” of Christ is never violence.
In thinking about icons and paintings on the Resurrection this week I stopped by Chrysler Art Museum in Norfolk. Interestingly, there was not a single icon, sculpture, or painting of the Resurrection scene on display. Of course there is a whole section of European paintings, but not a single depicture of the Resurrection. Even the temporary exhibit of Portuguese and Spanish art from the 1400’s-1800’s had not a single piece of the Resurrection. They were big on the Crucifixion, or even the Annunciation, but nothing about the Resurrection.
Another temporary exhibit Chrysler has is interesting in light of our topic: The Art of Revolution Chinese Propaganda Posters from the Collection of Shaomin Li.
Tumblr media
This is a good example of how to not “up rise.”
Tumblr media
The truth is changed from the above poster with Mao and other leaders, to only Mao.
Tumblr media
There were promises of peace after the revolution, but it never develops. Justice never comes, just more war.
Tumblr media
They preach equality, but out of the 204 people on the Central Ruling Committee in China, only 10 are women.
Tumblr media
Women are in very few senior political or business positions.
Tumblr media
Still, I am fully convinced the gospel is a political message. After all to “love your enemies” is not exactly a “pie in the sky” message. The gospel is a message of Justice.
Get arrested over the summer for nonviolently protesting an injustice… not get busted!
       Have a good summer…
       Love,
       Dad
P.S. The first song on The Muse’s album The Resistance is “Uprising” by Matt Bellamy. Bellamy writes in the chorus:
They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious.
I think that pretty well describes the Anastasis.
The Muse perform this rendition at, where else, the stadium in Rome.
       Crank it up!
