#haruno clan things

Note
recently I've been thinking about the haruno clan being a powerful civilian clan and not a lot of people realize because they're busy with the shinobi shit and all that. sakura thinks they know, so she doesn't tell them, and then on a mission one day she gets found out somehow and team 7 loses their shit.
maybe cause of a proposal, or something? cause I imagine a merchant clan would be a good investment lol. she gets proposed to and they all go batshit lol
I also think it could be interesting considering she's tsunades apprentice, yknow?
You know what would be hilarious, if this happened during the genin days.
I imagine the Harunos probably traded in something related to plants, possibly teas or maybe even some plant based medicine. That's why Sakura chose medic nin later on because it was something she was familiar with. They were traveling merchants for a long time, probably in the last few generations they decided to settle down in different areas to have a more permeant base. Kizashi moved to Konoha himself from the Sand Village to help expand business. (I am always in the belief that at least one of Sakura's parents is from the Sand) Sakura really doesn't say anything because she thought they knew, yeah her parents live pretty humble, that has to do with the fact her family is so used to moving a lot it was better to travel light. It's not like she was hiding it.
Then one day they got a mission that just so happened to be in the town where one of Sakura's extended family member lived. Weirdly enough team 7 were requested specially. Kakashi knew that some members of a powerful merchant clan lived in that town but he didn't know the clan's name. Sakura was going to tell them it was her family but she thought it be funny to surprise them, after all they never bothered asking the merchant's daughter who the powerful merchant family might be.
They meet with the client and Sakura was immediately weirded out.
It started out normal enough. The client, Lord Inoue, had introduced himself and had said he hired them to help out during the negotiations with the merchant clan. They had planned to arrange a marriage between themselves and the merchants. Of course team 7 agreed so the village can get paid and they can get that bag.
Then things started getting weird.
Lord Inoue called in his son, Daichi, who looked to be fivish years older than the genin. Daichi got down on one knee in front of Sakura.
Several people proceed to lose their shit, including a member of the merchant family who was visiting to hear more about the negotiations from Lord Inoue. This being Sakura's pink haired aunt, Nadeshiko.
Aunt Nadeshiko proceeds to lose her temper and yanks her niece back. "Who the hell do you think you are trying to go behind our backs and propose to my niece without her father or me present! You broke lord! I will be taking my niece and if you have any hope for these negotiations to work you better pray for good fortune!"
Lord Inoue, trying to gain some control, sputters that he has the shinobi under contract and they can not go with her.
Without hesitation Nadeshiko turns to Kakashi, her hands already reaching for her purse. "How much do you need for me to buy out the contract?"
Kakashi is so fucking confused by this point that Sakura has to give the number.
Nadeshiko rolls her eyes. "That number is insulting. We will pay triple. Here is half." She proceeds to toss her purse at Kakashi and then walk out the door with Sakura in hand. The boys scramble after.
While walking out the boys see the matching Haruno circles on Sakura's and Nadeshiko's backs.
"Well," Kakashi said as he put the money away. "We know the merchant clan's name now."

Got a bunch of Sasuke-centric asks, so here we are!
Sakura has some complicated feelings about Sasuke.
In my AU, Sakura was born to civilian parents who didn't really want her to become shinobi, even though that had been her dream for as long as she could remember- and it was no secret in the Haruno household that they were hoping she'd drop out, or at the very most, be career genin.
So Sakura never really had anyone to believe in her and had to go into the academy (late!) as a civilian-born, meaning she was automatically behind in development (and status) compared to the clan kids. (I headcanon that until the Academy, Sakura didn't ever spar with anyone, versus clan kids who had probably learned how to wield kunai before they knew how to walk).
So Sakura worked hard and did her absolute best to get the barest minimum that clan kids were afforded by default. Unfortunately, her best, without the resources/opportunities, just wasn't good enough. And Sakura knew it. Academically, she was brilliant, but that's not enough to be a good shinobi. And somewhere deep down, Sakura (at the very least Inner Sakura) knew it.
It's why I headcanon that she developed such a violent temper. People who are secure in themselves don't have such explosive, uncontrolled outbursts- it's why she picked on people like Naruto, who was probably the only person below her in the pecking order (maybe Tenten? But they're equals I guess). It's why she's so quick to anger and usually has those responses OUT of combat- it's because that's the only place her violence is actually effective.
It's also why she's such a teacher's pet- she needs validation from others to try and fill the gaping void.
So when Sasuke appeared on the radar, and everyone wanted him, so did Sakura. Because if she got him, she would do something that no one else- clan-privileged and better- could do. In fact, she staked most of her identity (her hair, her diet, her clothing) on it.
None of this was conscious. She really did have a crush on Sasuke, but the seed of it was born from a very misguided desire to prove herself on an even playing field.
After all, she didn't have a clan upbringing/resources to teach her how to find self-worth and actualization through her skills (she went home, and her civilian parents praised her for things that absolutely didn't matter in shinobi reality, amazement that she could throw a kunai! how good her grades were! and how cool it was that she could jump high!)
(and Kakashi absolutely didn't help, lol), so she defaulted to what she knew- which was being a regular girl with a regular crush.
Now, as an ~adult, she's come to the painful realization that her love for Sasuke was just a goalpost. Ironically, she set her sights on someone who would inadvertently feed into all of those insecurities, and because Sakura didn't love/believe in herself, she accepted Sasuke's abuse.
She also understands that she ran into the Chidori/Rasengan deathmatch of her own stupidity, but she just can't forgive Sasuke for leaving. For never owning up. 'Cause that's just coward behavior..
Basically, Sasuke's cruelty was just a reflection of her own self-loathing, and unfortunately, Sakura just wallowed in denial and ended up paying a hefty-ass price.
So if she ever sees Sasuke again? Honestly, she doesn't know whether she wants justice or revenge. It's complicated.
Whew- that was a text dump....
Once again, thank you so much to everyone for all the interest and asks! I'm so happy we can all share Naruto rotbrain together.

i found a part of reborn au that's just like "here's how i justify team 7 still existing"
Minato was having a conundrum.
He had the files of twelve of the current academy students lined up in front of him. These were the twelve their teachers had deemed reasonably likely to graduate; the rest would be given their fair shot at graduation, but were likely to need further training. He’d already sorted the bottom of the class into teams he thought were reasonable.
Of the top twelve, some could still fail. It was his job for the day to finalize their proposed genin teams, with the goal of maximizing their success for graduation and also the beginning of their genin careers. The Academy liked to lie to its students and pretend the teams were all composed to be evenly matched, but this was only partially true. It would be detrimental to both the students’ development and Konoha’s interests if an unworthy candidate graduated simply because they were put on a team with more all-around skilled classmates, or if an otherwise promising student was barred from graduating because their teammates bungled their Jounin’s test.
At the same time, Minato understood better than anyone how this sort of system stacked the deck in favor of clan-born students. If you stuck all the best students together, then you ended up with a lot of teams of all clan kids who’d had access to more training opportunities than students without large shinobi families to rely on.
This year was especially annoying to balance, in that it had five clan heirs graduating, plus the second children of two clan heads and Minato’s own son. This meant the top portion of the class was all especially heavy-hitters in terms of current skills.
He wanted to spread these eight students out with the other, more “normal” kids, but… well, he couldn’t split up the latest iteration of Ino-Shika-Cho, and his analysis team had made an incredibly good case for a Hyuuga-Aburame-Inuzuka tracking team.
Hyuu-Abu-Inu? Abu-Inu-Hyuu? Excellent Tracking Combo Team: All-seeing Bug Dog?
He pondered this title for a few moments. Well, it was a work in progress.
So that was two teams that were basically guaranteed to pass, and he now had to arrange another two teams. This is where things got tricky.
The analysis team had identified that Naruto and Sasuke had the potential to make an incredibly effective combat duo. Minato agreed with this. He also understood that they… ah, didn’t really get along, and suggested the third member be someone who could balance them out. His analysis team had suggested Haruno Sakura.
He stared down at her class photo, right at the center of his desk. He’d talked to Sakura maybe twice. She was the only student without at least one Jounin parent to make it into the top twelve. Between her near-perfect written scores, excellent classroom behavior, high chakra proficiency, and acceptable scores in physical tests, she probably would be a stand-out in a less competitive year. Compared to other students in this year, however, she wasn’t really anything to write home about. Minato only recognized her because Naruto happened to have a giant crush on her.
Through Naruto’s mooning, he also knew she had her own crush on Sasuke. He knew more about the intricacies of this little preteen love triangle than he wanted to, really. It was very dramatic.
Maybe Sakura would be a good balance. Or maybe her presence would make the team one highly flammable tinderbox. His analysis team promised the former, but they seemed inexperienced with the nature of insane pre-teen crushes.
Minato leaned back in his chair and swiveled it around to stare out the window.
They were twelve years old. Maybe they’d just get over their wild feelings.
Then again, he’d never gotten over his first crush…
But wasn’t it important for young shinobi to work with different kinds of people despite their previous feelings about them? Or was this just him trying to justify favoritism towards Naruto, wanting him to be friends with Sasuke?
He turned back to his desk, to see if he could figure out another way to arrange the teams.
Actually, the three remaining students would make an excellent infiltration team. It would be stupid to break them up.
He went back to pondering a team title for the Hyuuga-Aburame-Inuzuka team.
xXx
Minato finished his speech with, “...so you see, choosing the right sensei for a team is imperative, and you’re the only man for the job.”
He smiled nervously at Kakashi, who looked like he’d aged about ten years over the course of the last five minutes.
Kakashi’s shoulders slumped. He looked up at Minato from the file on his new team with incredibly tired eyes.
“Why would you do this to me?” Kakashi asked.
“Er, well,” Minato tried again.
He’d been much more assertive with the other jounin sensei. But the other jounin sensei weren’t his personal students he was maybe possibly screwing over in a very personal way.
“Shouldn’t Naruto be exposed to other people?” Kakashi asked. “I heard you gave Asuma a team. Wouldn’t he be a better fit?”
Asuma was Minato’s top pick for Naruto’s jounin sensei, actually. Asuma had wind chakra and also intimately understood what being the son of a Hokage was like, and he was also someone Naruto hadn’t grown up with. Minato was originally going to hand Kakashi the tracking team.
(Dog Bug Eyes. The Legendary Eyes Guiding Dog Fang Insect Symbiosis.)
Unfortunately, Team 7 would eat Asuma alive. Also…
“It’s not about just Naruto,” Minato said. “I need someone who can handle the whole team.”
It would undoubtedly be weird for Naruto to have his former babysitter as a sensei, but that type of conditional role swapping was something clan kids navigated every day. Importantly, Kakashi was someone Naruto would trust not to give him special treatment for being the Hokage’s kid. Kakashi was also a rare Jounin who could help Sasuke with lightning jutsu, which he wouldn’t necessarily be able to get from his clan.
“And Sakura is a wildcard,” Minato continued his pitch. “She’s been identified as a genjutsu-type, but her chakra control could lead her to many different specialties, and she has no familial connections to help her explore them. A jack-of-all-trades like you is an ideal teacher for her.”
Kakashi’s eyes drifted back down to the file in his hands.
“Isn’t she that girl Naruto likes?” he asked.
“Well,” Minato said levelly. “Naruto does like her, but you shouldn’t think of your new student that way.”
“Doesn’t Naruto keep fighting Sasuke over her?” Kakashi asked, ignoring this statement. “Sensei, you’ve somehow made something worse than Team 4.”
Wrong, Minato thought. Nothing is worse than Team 4.
“I have full confidence you can handle it,” he said.
Kakashi met his eyes. “Why would you do this to me?” he repeated.
“If only you’d taken one of the four other teams I tried to give you,” Minato replied dryly.
Kakashi straightened his shoulders, exposed eye gleaming. “I’ll just fail them too,” he said.
Minato smiled tightly back at him. “I have full confidence in them.”

~ Naruto Headcanons ~
Naruto Uzumaki
• Naruto makes all of the groupchats in his friendgroups and is the most active in all of them. "Super Seven Squad" has himself, Sakura, Sasuke, Sai, Yamato and Kakashi. "Naru-Squad" has Sakura, Kiba, Rock Lee and Shikamaru. Sasuke and Gaara were added but Sasuke left and Gaara can't figure out groupchats. "Next Gen Parents" has himself, Hinata, Sakura, Sasuke, Temari, Shikamaru, Rock Lee, Gaara, ect.
• After training with Jiraiya, he picks up writing as a hobby. He's good at writing narratives, but his handwriting takes a while to become legible.
• Considers Sakura his older sister, he acts on this quite a lot and calls her "Nee-San" sometimes
• If Just Dance were a thing in the ninja world, he'd be the master. Sakura would be his less enthusiastic partner
Sakura Haruno/Uchiha
• Sakura's love language is gift giving. Often she will spoil Sasuke with flowers, treats and very fancy, well thought out dates. This carries onto her friendships and family bonds as well.
• She takes note of things her "nieces and nephews" enjoy and makes sure to buy something for them every time she visits. Boruto and Shikadai often get Ninja Trading Cards, Metal and his sister get new ninja equipment, ect.
• Sakura goes all out for birthday celebrations, and Sarada has never had a boring birthday
• Naruto gave her a shirt that says "Honorary Uzumaki" some time after he came back from training with Jiraiya, she still wears it even when she's an Uchiha. Naruto got her multiple new ones when the first finally tore
• Sakura's a very sloppy sleeper. Snoring, drooling and always sprawled out. The only time she's not taking up the whole bed is when she's spooning Sasuke. She has drooled in his hair and she will again
Sasuke Uchiha
• He's the leanest and lightest out of Team 7. This works well in his favour because it helps with his agility, but it's impossible for him to get out from under Sakura or Naruto without the use of Ninjutsu
• He associates certain hobbies or items with the people he's near. Anything hospital related reminds him of his wife as well as pink flowers, ramen reminds him of Naruto, ink reminds him of Sai, ect.
• Sasuke is very touch-affectionate with Sakura, craving her hugs and kisses whenever they're apart. He gets embarrassed when he asks, however, so he's very subtle and indirect
• Always ends up on top of or hugging Sakura in his sleep. Over the years he too has become a sloppy sleeper, but as long as Sakura is holding him, he doesn't mind
Hinata Hyūga
• All of the Hyūga clan have very prominent veins, especially around their eyes. Each Hyūga member has a unique pattern or colour. Hinata's children inherit this trait, but it's harder to see
• Hinata's veins are mostly purple, and her veins form a heart shape on her left eyelid, but it's usually hidden by her multiple eyelid creases. Neji's veins were green and formed a look similar to lightning
• Hinata has very soft, pale skin. In the cold and heat, she's always the first to go red, so she always packs a hat and a jacket.
• She has indented knuckles and is quite plump. This used to be an insecurity for her, but her friends and partners helped her embrace it
Kiba Inuzuka
• Kiba loves to sing. He typically makes up random songs about what he's doing, like washing dishes or sweeping the floor, but he also likes to sing music from his playlists. He enjoys calmer music, but he'll sing almost anything
• Team 8, Mirai and Himawari are the only people who know Kiba sings. Kiba loves his hobby but he's too embarrassed to sing in public
• On bad days, Kiba will sit with Shino on their bed in the dark brushing his hair with his fingers, singing softly to him to help them both relax
• After finding out about Shino's sensitive eyes, he went and bought blackout curtains and dim lights for his house so Shino could walk through comfortably without his glasses
Shino Aburame
• Shino is a very jealous person, and he sucks at hiding it. Many people have had to hold him back to prevent him from saying nasty things
• During Shippuden, he formed a bond with Akamaru. Since then, people called him Akamaru's second owner or second dad. He embraced this fully when he and Kiba got together
• He loves working with the dogs that the Inuzuka clan raise, but he does get very attached emotionally. If he had his way, he and Kiba would have about 30 dogs running around the house
• His eyes are a very deep brown colour, in the light they would shimmer with a orange-gold like colour. Due to his sensitivity to light though, only Kiba and the odd doctor have seen this.
• He gets cold very easily, so he's constantly layering his clothes. He and Hinata both would huddle in next to Akamaru on missions in the winter
• He has small scars on his body where his bugs come out, but they go unnoticed by the human eye at a distance. Hinata and Kiba always panic when they see Shino bleeding from his bugs breaking through his skin
Shikamaru Nara
• Shikamaru loves puzzle books, like Sudoku. He often buys magazines to complete these puzzles, sometimes looking into the latest gossip
• Once he and Temari are in a relationship, he carries a small summoning scroll that holds a giant folding fan, just in case of emergencies
• Shikamaru loves the food from Sunagakure, the rich tastes and flavours are to die for, but he can't stand the heat of the desert. Fortunately, Temari often brings Suna ingredients home so they don't miss out when they're in Konoha
• He unironocally loves some One Direction songs, although he'd never openly admit it. It's a secret he'll take to the grave
• Sakura caught him singing What Makes You Beautiful once and she has never let him live it down
Rock Lee
• After Neji's death, Lee starts to grow his hair out in remembrance. It takes him a long time for him to grieve but he soon finds peace with the loss
• For a short time after the war, Lee joins the Anbu under Kakashi's guide. After the birth of his first child however, he quits and becomes a Chūnin exam proctor for Konoha
• He and Shikamaru form a bond due to their relationships within the Suna trio. They become each others biggest defender when it comes to Kankuro, who still doesn't want to share his siblings with them even as an adult
• In The Next Generation period, he doesn't talk with Gai that often, focusing more on his family, friends and career. He has little time for other things
• He lived in Suna for a couple of years when Aiko and Metal were born. When his duties were needed back at Konoha, he took Metal with him because of Gaara's busy schedule. They visit each other as much as the can during holidays
• Scared of Temari
Temari no Sabaku/Nara
• Temari has very rough and dry skin. Her lips are usually chapped and peeling, and her hair is very coarse. She doesn't know what skin and hair care is, and even if she did, she'd ignore it
• She has a scar on her back near her right shoulder from protecting Gaara from a Suna villager, no one knows about this scar except Shikamaru who saw it on accident
• Very protective and loving of her little brothers, she'll always throw herself between them and an enemy if it means they'll be safe. Kankuro and Gaara worry that they'll lose her because of this
• Surprisingly very affectionate, and she loves to spoil all of her loved ones to the point they need extra storage to keep their gifts
• Sakura was her first close friend from Konoha, they relate quite a lot with their love for their family (even though Sakura's is not by blood). In their later years, Sakura introduced Hinata to Temari, and after a bit of a rocky start, they have girls nights every couple of weeks. Just the three of them
• Has fought with Kankuro over getting a puppy many times. In their early life, they couldn't afford or take care of one, but as adults, Temari finally gave in. She bought Kankuro a puppy for his birthday before she left for Konoha

Why Sakura Haruno is literally the best written character in Naruto - a rant.
Tumblr media
She is the epitome of Narutos meaning.
So, main question is, what is Naruto about? On most surfaces level - about fox-boy having adventures, but that's not why most of us fell in love with the story. Below fox-boy, was fighting against your odds, learning, failing, getting back up, trying and becoming stronger, and most importantly about this quote:
"You dont have to be born a genius, you can become one".
This is what Naruto was about.
Arc with Haku and Zabuza? Find someone worth fighting for and become stronger for that person.
Chunnin exams? Naruto gives his all against Neji, to prove him, that you don't have to be born special, you can become special.
3rd Hokage vs Orochimaru - will of fire, that pushes you to protect your family, will keep the village alive.
Naruto vs Gaara - you can be hated and ignored all your life for your weakness, but if you keep trying people will notice you.
And so on and do forth.
But then we learned that Naruto was born to hokage and an Uzumaki. He got shit ton of chakra and a LITERAL beast in him to protect him. He was born great and to be great.
He failed his own narrative.
Menwhile Sakura was born a civilian, a noone, no magic eyes, no beast to help, no clan to learn from, nothing. She was an annoying girl with no aspiration. Thats it. Everything else she has is just her hard work and dedication. She become stronger than most of people "born great", just by trying to help people she cares about.
She is everything Naruto was set-up to be.
Is she a perfect person? No. And this is exactly what makes her a perfect character.
She's is flawed, she's sometimes emotional, she's not always confident and not always THE BEST BECAUSE PLOT.
SHE IS THE MOST HUMAN AND THE MOST INSPIRING.
And its annoying af when people dont understand her character, because that shows they didn't understand the story AT ALL.
She did her best and made mistakes but grown because of them.
Oh i was weak and couldn't protect my friends when they needed me? I'll do my best now, and try to be better next time.
Tumblr media
She didn't give up and decided "well I'm weak so I'll stay that way". She trained under the strongest kunoichi of her time, who was beating her till she was unconscious and had many of her bones broken, because "Tsunade can heal her later".
Sakura from beginning would just give up, because 1) why bother when she can be pretty and 2) it hurts and takes time so it's easier to give up.
But she has grown.
AND THE WORST OF ALL IS that she gets shit for everything Naruto is praised for.
Naruto is understanding Sasuke and wants him to be back - great friend.
Sakura does the same (she understands him even more in first part- she is the only one who know that Sasuke is about to leave the village)- delusional SIMP (even when it was stated in manga that she didn't want him to herself, she wanted to safe him).
Naruto throws himself into fight he has no chance in to be a distraction - WOW SO SMART. HE IS GREAT.
Sakura does the same - weak. Delusional.
Naruto is always getting help during fights - he wins by himself.
Sakura gets bit of help from Chiyo (even when Chiyo stated herself that Sakura didn't need her) - WELL SHE DID NOTHING, IT WAS CHIYOS FIGHT.
Tumblr media
Naruto is rude to everyone, BUT GROWS FROM IT- he was just a kid, that doesn't matter. He is a different person now.
Sakura was rude to someone, qpologies and grows from it - ITS UNFORGETTABLE. SHES A B*TCH.
What you all expected her to do?
- She is weak! - she became strong. BUT NOT AS STRONG AS THE STRONGEST, so its shit.
- She's rude to Naruto and made fun of a orphan - she was one of first people who cared about Naruto and opened a clinic for children's mental health - BUT WHEN SHE WAS 12 SHE SAID BAD THING SO STILL A B*TCH.
- She couldn't help Naruto and Sasuke in forests of death - she became a healer - BUT SHE DIDN'T HEAL EVERYONE EVERYTIME.
- She is useless - she isn't, she saved many people (including Naruto), and was especially useful during pain invasion - BUT WHEN NOONE COULD DO A THING AGAINST PAIN SHE COULDN'T ALSO SO SHES TRASH.
She gets trashed for things other people do and noone even bats an eye.
- But she punched Naruto! - so did Guy to Lee but you love them both and their relationship.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've never seen someone call guy "abusive".
- But she was mean to Naruto! - so was everyone else, but I've never seen them risk their life to safe Naruto or his dream.
Tumblr media
- But she only cares about Sasuke - no, no she doesn't, she cares for MANY PEOPLE like Naruto, Shikamaru ect. She even takes Naruto's side against Sasuke.
Tumblr media
She also did many shitty things, don't get me wrong (like fight against Ino, I think she needed this to bloom, but it was indeed shit behavior), but so did everyone else.
Example - Naruto:
Tumblr media
TALKING LIKE THAT TO A CHILD WHO LOST ALMOST EVERYTHING????? UNFORGETTABLE. RIGHT? Right?
About people like Sasuke, Gaara, Hinata, Neji, 3rd Hokage ect. I'm not going to talk because it will be material for whole different posts and it's already getting too long.
In summary:
You all are just Nejis from chunnin exams.
"Either you are born perfect or die a failure."
You all are just villagers form beginning of the series.
"WELL SOMEONE DID A BAD THINGS AT THE BEGINNING AND WAS WEAK SO I HATE THEM"
You all didn't understand Naruto as a story at all.
She is a perfect character form Naruto's definition - a noone who became important.

PROPAGANDA
SAKURA HARUNO (NARUTO)
1.) 1.) It is repeatedly stated throughout the series the areas in which she excels. We are told over and over again that she is gifted (early on in the series) or tremendously strong (end of the series) and yet with the exception of of the Sasori fight, there seems to be a staunch refusal to actually SHOW her being competent in a fight. 2.) her backstory ties into nothing plotwise as far as the overarching world and history of the village and its families. The three other leads (Sasuke Naruo, Kakashi) all get their own relevant backstory that gets delved into. But Sakura? Neither has one nor goes off and embroils herself personally into one of these overarching plot points. She is constantly forced to just be a companion/side character to the stories of her male counterparts. 3.) She’s given so much potential for a great powersuite and those all either go unrealized or she gets shown up by other characters. idk if this is what was meant by propaganda but its what i got
2.) Despite becoming the world’s best surgeon and doctor at age 17 (including doing open heart surgery in the middle of an active battlefield), her achievements are routinely undercut and underplayed by the canon.
It’s all the more disappointing because in some ways, she’s a very realistic and humanistic depiction of a teenage girl. Unlike her teammates, she grew up in what we would consider a pretty average family situation (two living parents who love her, even if they don’t understand her choices), and has relatively average goals at the beginning. Compared to her teammates who are orphans from dynastic ninja clans, who were basically born to a lineage of massive amounts of powerful ninja magic; Sakura’s civilian family has given her no genetic predisposition to being powerful. Despite this, she’s shown to be highly intelligent, achieving top scores on exams and having a deep knowledge for theory and concepts.
She begins the story having a crush on Sasuke Uchiha, a boy who has no interest in her, and hating Naruto, their village’s Omelas Child. However, as she works with her team, she bonds with them on a deeper level, and works very hard to meet their natural level of skill and not be deadweight on their team.
However, despite the fact that trios are treated with deep cultural and narrative significance throughout Naruto, the narrative quickly abandons the “Team 7 Trio” framing in all the ways that matter, becoming the Naruto-and-Sasuke show in all ways that matter. When Sakura gets her time to shine, she’s always undercut. Her massive physical strength and strong sense of self in Shippuden are never treated with the same reverence as her teammates’. Despite the fact that she can easily shatter rock and manipulate the ground with her sheer physical power, and that she was originally presented as good at genjutsu (illusion magic); she becomes a field medic/doctor – a carer/support role, rather than a DPS. Her decisions to advocate for herself and the people she cares about (such as trying to kill Sasuke) are treated as foolish and naive, not a heroic choice to try and help her friends at a large personal cost.
She also basically never gets to fight a man, except for one important case: Sasori. This is important, because the female characters in Naruto are routinely presented as less powerful and less of a threat than male characters. While her fight with Sasori is a fantastic arc, it ends with Sasori undercutting her victory by being like “well actually I wanted to die”, implying that he’d chosen to let her win, not that her win is well deserved. This is at the start of Shippuden, she doesn’t get a solo fight arc after that.
Of course, the most egregious thing done to Sakura is that she’s married off to Sasuke. Despite the fact that Sasuke is never once shown to give a shit about her, and the fact that her character development in a large part was about her giving up the childish and misogynistic desire to be a wife to the cute guy in her class, suddenly they’re together. Sasuke is a deadbeat husband, however, and immediately fucks off, to the point where he doesn’t recognise their child when he meets her, and tries to kill her. Sakura-the-housewife-waiting-at-the-window-for-her-husband’s-return is again now deeply in love with a man who doesn’t give a shit about her. The only photo she has of them together is shown to be a cutout of another photo of Sasuke stuck on a photo of her. She’s again trapped in a housewife box, her achievements and skill sideline to her ability to rear a child for the male lead. And worse, despite the fact she’s a very confident person who otherwise has no issue advocating for herself, she doesn’t really seem to fight back against this awful status quo in her relationship, grateful for the scraps of affection Sasuke delivers to her once a decade.
3.) Despite being on a team of three, she’s always side lined for the other two. Her whole thing is healing, then in a major arc at the end of the main series a character gets hurt and when she goes to attempt to heal them, she is pushed aside so Naruto can do his amazing magic healing that he just learned and is already better at it than her.
HINATA HYUUGA (NARUTO)
1.) When Hinata was introduced she goals, weaknesses, interesting interactions and relationships with characters other than naruto and a personality of her own. Post timeskip in shippuden, however, she was reduced down to simply ‘naruto’s future love interest’ and little else. The entire Hyuuga plotline was dropped and she no longer had any relevance or personality outside of naruto. Part 1 hinata was shy and insecure on the surface but underneath that she was determined & hardworking, even to her own detriment. Her struggles were compelling. Her interactions with neji and her family are something you look forward to seeing more of. In shippuden she’s like a flat carboard cutout of hinata. Her shyness exaggerated, her relationship with her family suddenly perfectly fine and boring. In part 1 naruto inspires her to keep trying but he isn’t the reason she’s working so hard, in shippuden he’s pretty much all she thinks about. Her change in character design really highlights these changes - the perfect little wife for cishet men to fantasise about.
2.) Her entire personality and arc is boiled down to “shy uwu waifu in love with Naruto” and basically any development she gets, which is barely at all because Kishimoto hates women, is as attributed to NARUTO and Naruto only. Even her reaction to her beloved COUSIN’S DEATH makes her be like “omg I love Naruto” and serves to further NaruHina, which is absolutely insane she would Not react like that. Naruto only starts being romantically interested in her at the beginning of like, The Last movie, which is after 500ish episodes of her being treated as the sidelined love interest who is devoted to a guy who only cares about her when she’s a damsel in distress on a fight.
There are so many parts of her character that are/could be interesting, like her part in the Hyuga Clan due to being born as a superior and her dynamic with her cousin Neji as a result, (which could have had SO many great moments of reconciliation and standing up for each other grrr grrr) an exploration of the impact of her bullying & being looked down upon (even when she’s supposed to be a superior member, which adds to the shame) LIKE MANY OF THE CAST, seriously the people Naruto trauma dumps to are mostly consisted of people unfairly treated like that and it could have been used to further NaruHina WHILE showing her struggles
She is an incredibly capable fighter but the moment Naruto is there, she instantly becomes defenseless and needs to be saved by her crush, mostly as a “wow look at him isn’t he so brave and kind to do this for her?!”
There’s an episode where she is literally used as a defenseless punching bag for Pein by trying to sacrifice herself for Naruto and telling him she loves him, JUST so he can be more angry and have more motivation to beat Pein’s ass (aside of the yknow. Killing his loved ones thing) AND her confession is ignored by Naruto for the rest of the series. Just like any moment she shows her crush for him is met with obliviousness, which would be fine if they weren’t the main couple and didn’t go on for THE ENTIRE SERIES!!!!
In Boruto, the shitty sequel, Naruto is basically her deadbeat husband in her bland lavander marriage and Boruto is rightfully mad about Naruto’s distance from the family and even says he left her basically a single mom and barely pays time to the family, and Hinata’s role in the show as the housewife is being like “no you see Boruto you have to understand your father’s pov as the Hokage” and the narrative treats NaruHina’s marriage as a Good, Healthy Thing as if the characters are not miserable in this marriage.
3.) Man I don’t even like her that much but she deserved SO much better. She was introduced as the heiress of a really powerful and renowed clan with complex dynamics, yet the author somehow decided to do almost NOTHING with the potential she had, and gave her very little personality besides being shy and fawning over the protagonist. She gets slightly more active in Shippuden (part 2), but her character still pretty much revolves around her love for Naruto, which sucks because again, she has so much potential. It’s no secret that women in Naruto are badly written, and Hinata certainly is no exception. The male characters get dozens of episodes/chapters about their motivations, their backstories, what pushes them to keep going, and Hinata gets almost nothing besides her lifelong crush on Naruto that we are reminded of literally every time she’s on screen.

It's kinda fucked up how they didn't give Sakura, like, a special clan along with Naruto and Sasuke. I guess they were trying to go for the prodigy with great chakra control and high potential for genjutsu for being a regular Kunoichi, but the way Kishimoto shafted her in favor of the Uchiha and Uzumaki clans just kinda makes her fall to the wayside.
All that to say is, if you were to write the Haruno Clan yourself, how would you make them relevant to the story/what powers would you give them? Thanks in advance if you do answer this ask!
Oh man there are so many options... Have them (or at least Sakura) use mokuton (Senju or not, and give her the job Yamato had, also give her a more direct relation to Tsunade), make them all great at genjutsu (there aren't enough relevant genjutsu users besides those with sharingans), that one beautiful cursed inner Harunos idea, some flower related kekkei genkai (add Ino friendship), make them famous medic nins for their great chakra control (direct relation to Tsunade again and good reason for her to become her apprentice)... Just so many...
I do like Sakura being from a "normal" clan, and I wish her hard work to be on the same level as "monster chakra" Naruto and "god's little favorite eye magic" Sasuke had more impact on the story, but OF COURSE I would've loved if she, Lee and Tenten had their own special thing too ; u;) and even more if they had gotten the attention for it

Sure I'll fucking post the first scene don't fucking test me. It bangs and one should never be ashamed of the things that bang. You're never getting that PJO fic at this rate.
First scene of a fic that bangs under the cut. There's an actual premise for the fic but I think it's funner if that's not obvious.
“Hey, kid. Wanna join a gang?”
Sakura halted, kunai half-buried in the hard packed dirt. She looked upwards, blinking owlishly.
Obito didn’t have to fight the urge to sweat, because he was partly wood and wasn’t capable of it. The desire persisted. Sakura blinked at him.
He was being ridiculous. The girl couldn’t level mountains with a punch or stop hearts with a touch. She wasn’t head of a hospital and inventor of a dozen medical techniques. She wasn’t even married. Not even to idiots. This was a whole-ass civilian child. She could barely stick a leaf to her abnormally large forehead.
“What kind of gang?” Sakura paused a beat. “I’m not supposed to talk to strangers.”
“I’m not a stranger, I’m a ninja. That’s trustworthy.” Ninjas were pretty famous for being trustworthy, straightforward people. Granted, there was an outlier that should not be counted. “And it’s a fun gang. With…uh, candy.”
Sakura narrowed her eyes. “Where’s your headband?”
“Laundry day.”
Sakura applied every ounce of her genius intellect towards considering this. Obito carefully crouched down across from her, looking down at the small and crumbling hole she’d created. Wasn’t she a bit too old to dig in the dirt for fun?
Finally, she said, “Sorry, Suspicious Ninja-san. I have school, homework, and chores. And a class project due next week. I have no time in my schedule for a gang.”
“Not even if it’s a really good one?” Obito wheedled.
Sakura shook her head solemnly.
Obito sighed dramatically, poking a gloved finger into the small hole. He allowed Sakura to smack his finger away with the kunai, ignoring her glare. It was super cute and potentially deadly. “So you’re too busy learning away, huh? Guess you’re just another kid with no intellectual curiosity. If you’re perfectly happy with the normal classes, I guess you don’t need advanced ones…”
Obviously, that got her attention. Obito knew full well that classes weren’t challenging her. Acing all of them across the board was a point of pride, but she knew that she wasn’t reaching her potential. She wanted to ace more difficult exams, which was more pride, and continue onwards towards higher difficulty in her quest for self-esteem. She searched unceasingly for the most difficult questions so she could experience the vain victory of knowing she was better than everybody else. Gifted kids. They were all the same.
“Is your gang a class?” Sakura demanded. “Is it special tutoring? Like the clan kids get?”
Ah. And maybe she wanted to do the impossible just to be as good as everybody else. That had always been the life of Sakura Haruno.
“It’s a group of people bound together by a shared dream,” Obito said mysteriously. Sakura’s eyes widened. “Yeah, we teach each other things. Special secret techniques that only we know. Here, I’ll show you one.” He looked down at the hole, brushing away stray rocks. “You weren’t using this hole for anything, right?”
“I was digging for worms,” Sakura said, frank and even. Somehow, her little dress didn’t have a speck of mud on it.
“Cool. Uh, why?”
“They have really simple chakra networks.”
“Sorry I asked.” Obito dug his finger a little deeper into the hole, forming a small cavity, before raising his hand and cupping it over the hole. “Watch carefully. A true ninja looks underneath the underneath.”
Anybody looking from a distance - anybody from ANBU to nosy mothers - would have assumed he dug into the hole and pulled it out. But Sakura, ear to the ground and big green eyes fixed on the magic underneath Obito’s hand, saw it clearly.
A wisp of green pushed through the bottom of the hole. It slowly rose upwards, leaves growing and unfurling, as it reached the top of the hole and continued to grow. Petals budded at the top of the plant and unfurled, spreading pink. Spring passed in an instant, and in a slight of hand Obito pulled the plant up by the stem and pretended it had been there all along.
It was a camilla, petals dyed as pink as Sakura’s hair. Obito ceremoniously presented it to her. She was almost unable to take it: she was stupified, surprised stiff. She knew exactly what she had just seen.
She mouthed three syllables to herself: Mokuton. Obito smiled slyly.
Sakura finally took the flower, inspecting it closely. Somewhat critically, she said, “Camillas don’t come in pink.”
“I thought I’d cater to my audience.” Obito leaned in, and Sakura ducked her head to match him. “I can teach you how to do it.”
Sakura’s eyes narrowed, twirling the flower between her finger and thumb. “It’s a kekkai genkai. You can’t teach kekkai genkais. And nobody would, anyway.”
“I would. I’m even offering.”
“Who are you?”
“Guy who wants to put together a gang. With fun and candy.”
Sakura’s eyes narrowed further into slits. “You said the gang already existed.”
“Let’s just say that we’re getting the gang back together for the very first time.”
“Why would we say that?”
She had not warned him that it would be this difficult. Obito remembered little girls as being way more pliable than this. But most little girls would have run away from strangers offering free rides, so maybe Sakura was more gullible than most. Or more susceptible to temptation. But every great ninja was.
“Flowers have simple chakra systems too.” Obito put his hand over the pit again. “Feel for my chakra this time. Earth and water. Watch what I do.”
He made a small sapling this time, which was far simpler and straightforward than creating a flower that didn’t exist. Sakura watched him carefully, eyes closed shut, and when he finished she reached in and ripped out the sapling herself. She studied the sapling carefully before sticking it in her mouth, running her tongue over the leaves and stem. Then she spat it out, brushing dirt over the plant as if burying a body and placing her hand over the hole.
Sakura screwed her eyes shut and lay there for a long time. Obito’s mind was almost spiraling into megalomania again before she began drawing her hand up. She made several small motions with her fingers, almost pinching, and Obito watched in marked interest as a small sapling rose from the soil. It only grew an inch out of the soil, and it was nothing more than a sprout, but so was Sakura.
When she opened her eyes and saw what she had made - when she realized that the no-name and do-nothing girl could create a mokuton as mighty as the god’s - Obito knew that he had hooked her.
Obito smiled at her, stiff and unyielding. “I have a dream. I’m dreaming of a world filled with meadows of beautiful flowers and forests of the tallest trees. You could help me create this dream, Sakura. I can teach you some of it, but you’ll have to make it the rest of the way on your own.”
The sapling sat in Sakura’s palm, and Obito knew that she found it far more beautiful than any flower. When she spoke, she stared at the sapling. “How?”
“Well…” Obito scratched at the back of his neck, laughing slightly. “How do you feel about crime?”
“Crime?!”
In the end, he had to kidnap her a bit. Technically he could have kidnapped her from the beginning, but a little work now saved a lot of work later. She complained a lot at first about her ‘family’ and ‘school’ and ‘desertion’, but she got over all of that predictably quickly. Her village did too: a disappearing child was not noteworthy in Konoha. Worst case scenario they’d accidentally stir up some ‘but I thought you kidnapped her for your child army’ situations.
Obito would create a heaven on earth, come hell or high water. Anybody who got in his way would die, from the lowliest Suna ninja to the Hokage himself. That was what it meant to be an optimist. And this little girl would be key to it all.

i LOVED your sakura fic and i am kindly asking for more sakura content!! <3
Tumblr media
a/n: ask and you shall receive ! i hope this is what you were looking for bc if not i will just have to write more gay content yk. a little bit long tbh and i got a headache writing but i didn't want to stop so
genre: romance, smut
pairings: sakura haruno x fem! reader
warnings: cunnilingus (receiving), dirty talk (praise), nicknames (sweet things like baby and love <3), fingering (giving), sweet sex, dom? reader
sakura haruno, your pretty friend since the academy, hopelessly in love with a brooding boy, the sole survivor of his clan.
sakura haruno, your even prettier friend as she begs sasuke to stay in konoha, who fights to bring him home.
sakura haruno, the most beautiful young woman you had ever seen, who had fought in the war to protect her home and the people she loved.
sakura haruno, your soon-to-be wife, surely the most lovely woman to ever exist, who loved you so dearly.
the rookie nine were present, excitedly awaiting the moment of your proposal in a small outdoor gathering, lit by small lanterns and accompanied by the sickly sweet smell of sake shared between friends.
sakura haruno, your pretty girl, laid out beneath you, grasping at your hips and waist, lips meeting yours in sloppy, desperate kisses.
who knew after-proposal sex would be so satisfying? the both of you were still clothed in your matching summer dresses, the light sage green hugging her breasts and waist, decorated with pink flowers matching her hair. pretty pink flowers that matched the cute lacy panties she wore as she let you settle between her legs above her.
you took a moment and pulled back from her lips, your hand pulling her right thigh to your hip and pushing back her dress to reveal her soft milky skin.
looking down at her expression, emerald eyes shining underneath you with adoration. the necklace you had gifted her was dainty on her neck, accompanied by her intoxicating cinnamon perfume. without realizing it, a smile had risen to your lips, your heart pounding in your chest.
"what? why are you looking at me like that?" sakura laughed airily, her hands raising to place themselves on your face, one on either side of your cheek.
you smiled and tugged her other leg around your waist, grabbing her left hand and lacing your fingers together as you pinned it gently above her head. the newly placed ring glittered under the low lights of your shared bedroom.
"i can't look at my gorgeous fiance?" she giggled as you leaned down and placed a slow kiss on her lips, using her free hand to pull you closer to her. she let out a quiet moan when you slipped your tongue into her mouth, using your hand to slip the straps of her dress off her shoulders.
she tugged your intertwined hands apart, caressing her hands up your middle until she reached your breasts, cupping your tits and massaging them.
you were quick to pull away from her lips, trailing wet kisses down her pretty neck as she gasped for breath, placing a hand on the back of your head. "[y/n].."
humming, you continued kissing down her neck, tugging her dress down over her tits, revealing her pink nipples hardening under your touch. "what is it baby?'
she was cut short in her reply when you took a nipple into your mouth, letting out a moan. your fingers itched to pull aside her panties and play with her clit, but you let yourself take it slow. "use your words pretty girl."
"touch me please." she gasped out, hips grinding up against you. she was as desperate as you were. grinning, you leaned back on your knees and kneaded her tits in your hands one more time before pushing her dress up her body, revealing the pink panties covering her pussy.
she watched with anticipation as you trailed your fingers along her thighs, tracing up the skin of her inner thigh. you bit your lip when you ran your fingers over the front of her panties, feeling the wet spot from her dripping arousal. "you want me to touch you that bad?"
sakura rolled her eyes at your teasing, but gasped when you slipped your hand down the front of her panties.
taking a minute to adjust, you laid down beside her, keeping her legs open with your hand down her front. she let out a breath of relief when you started drawing circles in her clit, tilting her head to let you place open-mouthed kisses along her neck.
"like that?" she nodded, closing her eyes and scrunching her face in pleasure as you dipped into her wetness and went back to playing with her clit.
it would be too mean to tease her today, to strip her and make her watch as you played with her cunt, denying her orgasms as she shook from the pleasure you gave her. to hear her moan out for you as you made her cum over and over again on your tongue. the messy stuff would have to wait until the morning.
her moans were rising in pitch, her hips bucking as she clenched the bedsheets in her hand. "come on baby, you're doing so good for me." leaning down, you took a nipple into your mouth, speeding up your hand on her clit.
"you wanna cum for me?"
"yes!" sakura was moaning freely, eyes squeezed shut and jaw hanging open as you brought her closer to the edge. you slipped two fingers into her pussy, using her slick as lubricant to thrust your fingers in her, curling your fingers to reach her most sensitive spot as your palm met her clit with each movement.
she continued to buck into your hand, grabbing onto your arm as her back arched and she let out a series of high pitched moans, chanting your name as she squeezed around your fingers. "come on, cum for me. cum for me baby."
"[y/n], fuck!" her eyelids fluttered as she came down from her high, legs shivering as you pulled your hand out of her panties, grazing over her clit.
she was quick to sit up and pull you back into a kiss, tracing her tongue over your lips and nudging your thighs apart. your back met the plush bedding as she lowered you down, putting herself between your legs.
"want to taste you." her hands were tugging at your own dress, pulling them down over your chest and letting your breasts rest over the seams, pushing your knees up to allow her access to your pussy. without wasting a second, she pulled the white lace down your thighs, eagerly laying between your thighs.
she dipped her head down and licked a stripe from your wetness up to your clit, dragging zigzags over your cunt. she lapped at your wetness, closing her lips around your clit and sucking it into her mouth.
"such a good job love." you tried to keep your eyes open to watch her devour you, running your fingers through her hair as she continued to circle your clit. it was almost embarrassing how quickly she was pushing you to the edge.
"sakura.." she moaned into you, closing her eyes and moving her tongue faster against you. you were arching off the bed, nipples perked as your chest fell and rose with each breath, skin flushing from the heat tingling throughout your body as your orgasm tipped closer.
she took your clit in her lips again, pulling away for a moment and then lapping the underside of your clit quickly, making you moan aloud. you were pushed over the edge, crashing into your orgasm as she continued to eat you out through your high.
your hips were bucking against her face, her chin slick in your own wetness, hands tangled in her hair as you moaned out her name, praising her, telling her how good she was doing for you, to make you feel good.
when you came down, she pressed slow kisses against your skin, kissing up your body until she reached your lips, pressing them against you in a hot kiss. her hands grabbed at your chest, rolling your nipples in her fingers as she straddled your thigh.
"again?"

Smol Announcement: From now on, sasusakucoded's Sunday is sasusaku au day. Yay!
Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to write more AUs and fanfics. 🙇‍♀️
---
Sakura can't believe how she ended up in this situation— marrying a stranger just because of family ties. In the village, her family is renowned. The Harunos lead the food and fashion industries and Sakura's father is considered as an influential person close to the Hokage.
Her soon-to-be-husband-in-a-few-hours is from the Uchiha clan. They are a humble clan that resides in the remote part of the village.
It's her first time seeing the guy. He looks handsome and quiet but the idea that she has to marry him because of a silly deal between her and his great great grandfathers irks her. Their great great grandfathers were comrades in the last shinobi war. They promised each other to marry off their children to merge their families. The problem is both of them had only one child and both are males. This repeated for several generations until a female was born in the Haruno side.
"You may now kiss the bride."
And just like that, Sakura and Sasuke are married.
---
As soon as they reach their new home, Sakura takes out a two-pager from her bag and gives it to Sasuke. "This is our contract."
Sasuke is confused. He thinks it is their marriage contract from the church. He starts reading it and realizes it's a totally different one.
"Let me get this straight. Only my grandfather wants us to get married. My father just agreed because of the stupid pact. As soon as Grandpa is gone, we'll get a divorce."
This shocks Sasuke. Even if he doesn't like the idea of marrying someone he just met, he has made up his mind that this woman is his wife and he has to take care of her.
Sakura is waiting for his reply. It seems that he can't process her plans. She reiterates, "so we just have to wait."
He nods and reads the contract again. The last line says, "do not fall in love with me."
"If you agree, please sign both pages and keep one as your copy."
He signs it immediately and gives the paper back to her.
"Great." She points at the door, "that will be our bedroom. We should still stay in one room in case they visit us. And oh, the contract is between the two of us only. Don't tell anyone."
"Got it," Sasuke says while following her to the room.
---
The following days are tiring. They have to attend family functions that Sakura's grandfather and Sasuke's parents have prepared.
Sasuke is shy around the Haruno's acquaintances. He stays in one corner and watches them from there. Sakura is quick to find him, reminding him that it's part of their duties as a couple to mingle with others. She takes his hand and introduces him to their friends. Slowly, Sasuke gets the hang of it and enjoys learning new things about Sakura through conversations.
In the Uchiha's abode, things are different. They have a more intimate event. All of Sasuke's favorites have been prepared. Sakura is hesitant to eat crabs and lobsters and Sasuke notices. Apparently, she doesn't know how to open them so Sasuke gladly takes a few and cracks them for her. This makes Sakura happy because she feels special and she appreciates the food more because he helps her.
---
Weeks have passed and Sasuke starts to get more fond of his wife. He learns that she likes designing clothes but her passion is to paint. He likes it when she tells him about the painting techniques she use. He's interested of whatever topic she wants to talk about.
Sakura, on the other hand, finds Sasuke nice and kind. She specially likes it when he prepapres food for her or when he does small things even if she doesn't ask him to do them. He's still too quiet for her though. He only talks when she asks him questions.
They call each other "love" to make their marriage more believable in the eyes of others.
Sakura taps Sasuke's shoulder and gives him a new phone. "Use that. Your current one's cracked screen is an eyesore."
"Thanks, but I can't accept—"
"Just take it," she turns her back and leaves. "I'll be at the gallery until later. Bye!"
---
Sakura is preparing for her art exhibit so she spends more time at her gallery. Sasuke decides to drop by and bring her dinner.
He goes in and sees Sakura talking to someone. It is her father.
"—but really? You're going to give me the most basic man and think that I won't file for a divorce sooner or later?! It's so stupid, Dad! I thought you'll agree with me on this!"
"Hey Sasuke, why are you here? Let's go inside!" says Ino, Sakura's bestfriend.
Sakura and her father look at the door simultaneously and see them.
"I– I just dropped by to bring you food." He puts it on the table while looking down. He greets his father-in-law and nods at Sakura before leaving.
"Hey, you're leaving already?" Ino asked.
He just nods and walks towards the train station.
When he thought they're getting closer, it hits him that everything is part of a ploy. They have a contract to follow and he must not misunderstand things.
"Go home now and say sorry to him," Kizashi says in his stern voice.
"Why would I? What I said.. That's the truth.."
Sakura's father leaves knowing that he can't do anything with her daughter's ego. Ino doesn't dare ask questions. She just tells her that she needs to go too.
Sakura continues her painting, constantly making errors here and there. "Did he hear everything? What does he think of me now? Is he hurt? He must be.. Most basic man.. Why did I even say that? Where did I get that term? He's definitely not basic. He's simple, sure, but far from basic. So why did I say that? Well.. Who cares. This marriage is just a phase.. We'll part ways soon enough.. I couldn't care less of what he feels."
She opens the food bag and sees the note.
Don't forget to eat, Picassokura!
She smiles at how silly it is. She also realizes that she hasn't eaten since afternoon. She opens the bento box and sees that it has some of her favorites. She wants to eat it so bad but her guilt is preventing her.
With no progress, she decides to get food from the vending machine instead. "This is what I deserve," she says while taking her first bite.
She enters the house and sees Sasuke in the kitchen. He greets her and immediately sees the food bag.
"Sakura, I'll take care of that," he says while taking the bag from her.
She's hesitant. The least thing she wants to happen is for him to think that she didn't like the food that he prepared. "No, it's fine!"
Too late. He has the bag and is aware that it's still full. He nods and goes back to the kitchen.
She goes to their bedroom and takes a shower. "You're so stupid, Sakura!! That will hurt him further!!"
She's waiting for him to come into their bedroom but he's still in the kitchen. It's been hours since Sakura arrived, so she goes there to talk to him.
"Hey.. I'm sorry," she starts. "I– I said those words because I was really pissed. I told Dad about the contract and hedidn't agree with me at first.. That's why.."
"It's okay.. What you said is true.. A basic man like me doesn't deserve someone like you.."
"No– I didn't mean–"
"It's okay. It's good that you were upfront."
"But I offended you.. I swear I didn't mean to say those words.."
"Maybe I was offended.. But it's no big deal. That's the truth, I can't do anything about it."
"I want to make it up to you. Tell me anything you want!"
"Paint me," he laughs.
His laughter makes her a little relieved. She agrees to paint him and both of them go to bed.
---
Because of that incident, Sasuke starts to distance himself from Sakura. After all, there's no reason for them to be closer with each other now.
Sakura's days are per usual— she goes to her gallery and paints the promised portrait. It's a surprise to her that she can actually paint him without a reference. She thinks of his face when they eat together, or when he sleeps, or when he's doing some chores.
She calls Ino to look at the painting. "It's done, finally!"
Tumblr media
"Wow! Sasuke must be really pleased! Looks like he's from one of those period dramas.. What's the title?"
"I don't have a title yet, to be honest. Do you think he'll like it?"
"I'm sure he will!"
For some reason, Sakura keeps on looking at the door and checking her phone, as if anticipating someone's arrival or message. Ino has noticed this and asks her, "expecting someone?"
"No.. Why?"
"You keep on glancing at the door.. Also, I haven't seen Sasuke these days. Did you tell him not to go here?"
"No, I didn't." It occurs to her just now that Sasuke doesn't visit her anymore. Not even once since she started painting his portrait.
This thought remains in her mind for the rest of the day. Now, she can only think of the things he stopped doing ever since that incident at the gallery happened.
"What do you mean he stopped doing things?"
Aside from her dad, only Ino knows about their situation and plans. She's open with her and trusts her very much.
"He doesn't text me anymore. Before, he sends me multiple texts a day, asking if I've eaten. He doesn't eat dinner with me too. He still prepares the food but it's either he eats later than me or he doesn't eat at all. He also stopped calling me 'love' when we're alone. He only calls me that when we're outside."
"What's the problem? Isn't that what you want?"
"Yeah.. But abrupt change is confusing.."
"Your contract is rather confusing! You say you don't care about him and he shouldn't care about you.. But you keep on doing things for him."
"Ino–"
"You had his parents' distillery up and running. You bought new equipment for his football club. You paid for his clan's mortgage–"
"It's not like I paid much money for that–"
"That's not the point, Sakura. You're doing all these wifey things for him in secret and you're telling yourself that he deserves them because he's nice."
"But.. He's really nice–"
"Yeah! Your driver is also nice. Would you do the same thing?"
"Ino, that's different!"
"And now you're bothered because he stopped doing the little husband things he's been doing."
"I'm not bothered! I'm just.. Confused.."
"Sakura, it's not like your contract is something concrete. You can always terminate your self-made contract, you know. I don't know if you're aware but you talk about him almost 24/7."
"I don't! I just talk about him because he's my current subject!"
"Yeah right! 'Sasuke's football skills is top-tier! Sasuke's hair should be the standard for men's hairstyle! Sasuke did this, Sasuke did that!' Sakura, please. Don't kid yourself."
"But.."
"I haven't seen you paint so passionately before. So, there's really something different. Think about it."
Sakura overthinks about it indeed. She never cared about any guy before. This feeling is new to her, so she's not sure if she just misses his presence or if she's really in love with him. Regardless, she's excited to go home to tell him about the painting.
She's about to close the gallery when she sees a familiar car outside. It's her grandfather. It also seems that he's with her dad.
"Dad? Grandpa? What are you doing here?"
"I am sorry. You shouldn't be burdened by the pact, Sakura," her grandfather says as he enters the gallery.
"What do you mean?" she asks, looking back and forth between her grandfather and dad.
Her grandfather sees the painting. "For someone who doesn't care about someone, you sure did put effort on painting this.. Well, Sakura. You don't need to anymore. You don't need to pretend."
"Grandpa?"
"Sasuke paid a visit this afternoon. He told me everything. You can cancel that contract or whatever deal you have with him. You can file for a divorce freely."
"He went and told you?"
Her grandfather inspects the painting closer. "He said you don't deserve to be punished like this. He'll take the blame if people will ask. He said you shouldn't be trapped because of a deal that happened way before your birth. He's right. I'm sorry, it's my fault. I really just wanted to fulfill my grandfather's wish."
Sakura doesn't know how to react. She wants to say many things but words are not coming out of her mouth.
"Starting tonight, that contract is void. You can live in peace. I'll make sure of that."
"Grandpa.. So.. Does he hate me? He didn't say anything to me.." she asks, almost sobbing.
"No, not at all. He said he loves you, so he knows he has to let you go."
"He said he loves me? He never told me!"
"Because it's part of the contract right? It's funny because it seems that he has memorized every line of those rules–"
"Wait, is he at home?"
"Yes, he said he'll pack his things asap so it's easier for you–"
"I must go. Dad, please close the gallery for me!" She gives him the keys and runs towards her car.
"Hey, don't drive fast!!" Kizashi reminds her.
---
She's panting when she arrives. He's there, ready to leave. He's waiting for her to say goodbye properly.
"Sakura–"
"So, that's it? That's the reason you're not calling me 'love' anymore? That's the reason you stopped doing things you used to do for me? You want to rescind the contract–" She can't continue her statement and starts crying while holding onto him.
"Sakura.. This is what you've always wanted, right?"
"Is it true? You love me?"
"It doesn't matter.."
"Is it true?!" Sakura repeats her question louder.
"It's true! I love you! It hurts that you'll never love me back but it hurts me more to see you miserable with me! I'd rather let you go than see you hating your life because of that stupid pact."
"Who said I was miserable? Because of that one incident? Sasuke, you don't understand. I've never been this happy before.."
"You were happy.. with me?"
"I was in denial because it would hurt my ego. I made that contract.. I made the rules.. Then I'll be the one to break them? I kept on telling myself you're just nice.. You're kind and cool.. That's why I like you. But it's deeper than that, Sasuke. I love you. I know it took me so long to realize.. But I can't see myself living here or anywhere else without you by my side."
Sasuke can't believe what he's hearing. This can't be real. He can't process that the woman who despises the idea of getting married to him is now in love with him.
"Sakura. Are you sure? It's your chance to be free again."
"Did you know, I've finished your portrait today. I was so happy. I was pleased with the result.. Before I left the gallery, I put the title on it thinking I'll surprise and show you tomorrow." Sakura takes his hand. "You know what, come! Let's go there now."
Sakura calls her dad to go back and open the gallery for her. He complies and even her grandfather is intrigued.
When Sasuke and Sakura arrive, it's already open. It's obvious that Sakura cried on their way and her father can't help but worry.
"This.. This is beautiful, Sakura. Thank you.." Sasuke says while looking at its entirety.
"There's the title," Sakura points at a small card at the bottom of the painting.
"Love of the Artist's Life.. Sakura?"
"If that's still not enough for you to believe that I love you–"
Sasuke pulls her for a hug. "I'm sorry. I should've told you. You don't have to prove anything, Sakura. Just tell me I'm allowed to love you and I will. With all my heart."
Sakura takes the contract from her bag and torns it into pieces. "Null and void! Sasuke, please love me with all your heart and I promise you that my heart is yours and yours alone."
"I think we can leave now, Kizashi. So, nothing changes right? You guys are still married. Our ancestors are pleased with the fulfilled pact.. Everybody happy. Good." Sakura's grandfather laughs. "Sasuke, you take care of her. That's my only wish."
"I will, sir. That's a promise."
Kizashi leaves with his father. "Dad said everything I wanted to say. Take care, Sakura, Sasuke. We're leaving."
Sasuke is still staring at the painting. "It's really detailed, love.."
"You don't know how much I missed you calling me that."
Sasuke kisses her and says, "let's go home. I have to unpack and organize everything again."
They shared a laugh. "Don't worry, your wife is going to help you."
"You mean the love of my life."
"Hey, that's my title for you! Pick another one!"

In her childhood, Sakura remembered vividly spending hours in the Uchiha compound. She’d become best friends with the second heir of the clan. The youngest. She remembered running around his beautiful garden, admiring the koï and feeding them. She remembered admiring his mother's vegetable garden and the flower beds that could be found here and there.
Sasuke, the second Uchiha heir, along with their second blond best friend Naruto had grown up together so to speak. They’d done some stupid things together. First, they followed Naruto in his pranks, helped him to re-decorate the heads on the Hokage monument with paint. Naruto's mother, Kushina, had literally chased the three fleeing mini-thugs, yelling, with a ladle in her hand and threatening them with laundry duty of the entire Shinobi corps for a month. Thanks to Sakura's tactical intelligence and Sasuke's military intelligence, they’d managed to escape to what they called their secret tree house. They hid there to escape any punishment. Needless to say, their plan didn't work out so well.
The only comfort and pride that the three children felt in this memory was that it had taken 18 hours to find them. It was Sasuke's older brother and cousin who had found them.
They hadn't had a good day, or even a good week after that. They were punished, of course, but strangely enough they were praised for their teamwork. And they were only 5 or 6 years old at the time. Everyone was complimented on their skills. Even their escape was praised for what it was, even more so when they had managed to escape their "enemies".
Sakura always remembered fondly “des quatre cents coups” they had done in their childhood. That's why she had so many memories in the Uchiha district or in Naruto's house surrounded by his parents. Or her own.
But, today, she would have done anything to escape the complex.
She was currently in Sasuke's room. On his bed. The young man was polishing his Kusanagi, while Sakura was lying across the mattress, her head resting on one of Sasuke's thighs. He didn't seem to mind. He was used to it. He wasn't an overtly tactile person, but he was as open as one could be even more so with Team 7.
The pink-haired girl was desperate. Forgetting what she saw earlier was simply not possible. She had gone to find the first available person. Surprisingly, it had been Sasuke. Naruto was on a date with Hinata and Ino was on a mission with team 10. So her friends weren't what you would call "available." Of course Naruto would probably have dropped whatever he was doing to make sure his Sakura-chan was okay.
She’s like a sister to him. They’d all grown up together after all, but Sakura thought it was selfish to interrupt him while he was enjoying a moment with sweet Hinata. God knows it took that idiot a long time to ask the Hyuuga heiress out.
He had foolishly thought that he had no chance with the girl.
She snorted at the thought.
Idiot. If only he knew.
Hinata only had eyes for him. It was even before the academy. Now that they were together and happy, she wasn’t going to spoil their date.
Sasuke wasn't a bad choice anyway. She was actually very close to him. He knew things about her that even Ino didn't know ( And she prayed that the pig never found out because she might suddenly disappear.)
He hadn't questioned her when she’d snuck in through his bedroom window while he was polishing his Kunai. He had seen her puffy red eyes and she was wet from the rain : that had been enough for him to silently invite her into his den. He’d allowed her to borrow one of his old pants and a t-shirt that had become too small for him and she’d decided that a hot shower was in order. Sasuke let her be.
And here they are now :
Sakura on his bed, her head on his lap, a book on her stomach and him taking care of his Kusanagi. He knew she would talk when she felt ready. Sakura didn't like to be rushed. She liked to take the time to unravel her feelings so she could understand them better. And soon the Uchiha heard Sakura's voice. She spoke softly, but he could hear the notes of frustration, sadness and anger in her voice.
“ I can't believe he did that! I hate him so much!”
Sasuke closed his eyes and took a breath. Okay. Here we go again. He said nothing, listening, knowing anyway that Sakura was just going to vent whether he wanted it or not.
“No but can you believe that asshole!? Kissing that... that... Ugh. I can't even be upset with Hana-chan. She's really too cute. It's his fault anyway!”
At the familiar name, Sasuke looked up, arching his eyebrow.
“Hana? As in Hana Inuzuka? Kiba's older sister?”
Sakura huffed, annoyed.
“Yes! Now is not the time to drop your brain Sas’ke!”
Sasuke scowled and pinched the girl who yelped at the sudden gesture. She glared at him and then put her head back on his lap. God only knows what a comfortable couch he could be.
“You should be thankful that I haven't kicked you out yet.”
Ah that, Sakura scoffed:
“You love me way too much to kick me out and if you did I would probably rat you out to a) your mother because she loves me and b) your father because he loves me even more since I treated and cured your mom's disease a few years ago.”
The boy winced at the thought. He preferred not to have his mother on his back. So he gave in. For now. He too could blackmail Sakura and go complain to Mebuki-Obasan. The smartest of the Shinobi military corps knew better than to mess with one of the best Jônin cryptographers in Konoha's decryption unit. Sakura had not only taken after her mother's intelligence but also her fiery temper. He preferred not to interfere when these two women were in conflict
So he patiently listened to Sakura complain without having to ask which asshole she was talking about because he knew. Oh yes, he knew. Unfortunately.
“Go on.”
“Don't tell me what to do! Hm. What was I saying ? Oh yeah... Can you believe that asshole? Kissing Hana?! Of all people! When I go to tell Kiba that! Ha!”
“The fact that you think Kiba can beat him up is very cute. Delusional, but cute.”
“Shut up, you idiot! You're supposed to be on my side!”
“I'm not getting involved in your teenage melodrama. Besides what you're saying doesn't make sense. Why would he go and kiss Hana? He's never shown more than a friendly interest in her.”
“ I dunno, Sas’ke! Just ask your asshole of a brother! And anyway I thought it was Shisui who was interested in Hana!"
Sasuke snorted.
“Yeah when he was like 15. That sicko is hitting on Anko now according to the rumors. That guy has no sense of self preservation. It's a wonder how he survived all this time.”
Sakura stood up abruptly, grabbing him by the shoulders and luckily for her, he had already sheathed his Kusanagi.
“This is a serious matter! How do you want to coexist in a world where your brother is marrying a woman that isn’t me !? Think about your mother and yourself. You will be so devastated not to have me for a daughter-in-law and sister-in-law. I would hate to break your heart.”
Sasuke chuckled. CHUCKLED. That girl is crazy.
“Of all the people involved in this, I think you're the one who would really be heartbroken. Itachi has no reason to date Hana and I remind you that you already turned him down when he asked you to go to the spring festival with him a few years ago.”
Sakura frowned, tightening her grip on her best friend's sturdy form.
“It wasn't like that and you know it! Tsunade-Shishou had asked me to be Gaara's escort. Honestly I could hardly see myself refusing the Kazekage. Going with Gaara to the festival was diplomatic.”
“Straddling him in an intense make-out session was also a diplomatic tactic? Maybe you wanted to give him a taste of the sweets of Konoha?” He replied with a smirk on his lips.
Sakura blushed furiously and punched him, holding back her blow enough to do no real damage but hard enough to hurt.
“Shut the fuck up! We promised we'd never talk about it again!”
“You still naively think that Itachi doesn't know that you had a relationship with the Kage of Suna? It’s hilarious. It doesn't take a genius to do 1+1. Your missions to Suna and its borders were a little too frequent back then.”
“Like your brother is a virgin!”
“That's disgusting, Sakura. I don't need to know that.”
She huffed. Sure, Sakura and Gaara had had a three year relationship, but in her defense, she really didn't think Itachi cared about her back then. Hadn't he told her "not to waste time on him. He's so busy with his duties to Konoha and his clan." Only to see Izumi glued to his arm? Tch. Lying bastard. Her 15 year old self had been heartbroken. She had had a little crush on Itachi as a kid. He was so cool. But little Sakura chose instead to train to be a good Shinobi like her parents. So although she marveled at Itachi's prowess in the recesses of her mind and with Ino when she was creating flower crowns at the age of 5, she figured it would be wiser to pretend she didn't care about the older boy.
She had flirted and dated casually in her teens but her first time and first real relationship had been with Gaara. There had always been something she couldn't name between them, but she had ignored it in favor of her training. Even back in the Chuunin exam he had complimented her in a rather strange way. In fact his compliment sounded like a threat and with his icy green gaze she wondered if he didn't want to crush her with his sand.
Luckily for her Sasuke and Naruto had been there and had been suspicious and protective of her. And very rude if we want to be honest. At 12 years old these two idiots couldn't care less about being diplomatic at an international event that aimed to bring foreign countries together in its land. Thank goodness they had matured since then.
And look at her now! A beautiful young woman and an accomplished 20 year old shinobi who was getting upset because her not-so-secret crush was kissing the sister of one of her good friends. What a bastard! And to think that she thought things had changed. Needless to say, she was probably kidding herself.
Well, fuck him! If Uchiha Itachi couldn't see her value then it was his loss! I mean sure, they weren't a couple. So he hadn't cheated on her or anything, but she liked to think they were friends at least. Okay, a friend who desperately wanted to see him naked, but a friend and fellow ninja nonetheless.
Why was she so upset anyway? She dropped her forehead against Sasuke's shoulder, loosely wrapping her arms around his neck. She smelled his perfume. She liked the smell of her best friend, probably because it was similar to his brother's, it was comforting. The difference was that she didn't feel like tearing off Sasuke's clothes just by smelling his scent. The boy in question watched her, eyebrow raised. He noticed the change in her behavior. He could have pushed her away, but he was far too familiar with her proximity to be entirely offended by it. So he sighed and awkwardly patted her back, which made the girl chuckle.
“You really suck at comforting sad girls, Sasu-chan.”
He glared at her at the nickname, though she couldn't see it.
“My name’s Sa-su-ke.”
“Don't care. Let me cuddle you, Sasu-chan. I need affection from a handsome guy.”
He snorted, but made no move to dislodge her, if anything, he even made himself comfortable in his bed by lying down, his head resting on his pillow. Over the years, Sakura had had phases like this. And she always turned to Naruto or him. Naruto it wasn't really a problem, the jerk himself was a hugger. for him, it took longer to allow and be comfortable with this routine. But he had made an exception. Because it was Sakura and she and Team 7 were his second family.
His fingers ran absentmindedly through her pastel pink locks. Her hair was soft. One of the characteristics he found odd about Sakura. Her hair was always soft. Yet she wasn't so vain, but when he realized that her hair was silky at any time of the day he had finally asked her about it. She had simply answered that being a Shinobi didn’t prevent her from being a woman. And that being both was rather a lethal weapon. Especially in certain types of missions.
He preferred not to think about these missions. He knew that seduction missions existed, he'd probably done one or two in his career, but he'd never been a big fan of the process. He felt Sakura relax against him, her chakra much less agitated than it had been when she had come through his window two hours earlier.
“You should stop doing that Sakura.”
“Doing what?” She asked confused.
“Hurting yourself.”
“That's not what I'm doing. Your brother is simply sending mixed signals."
He frowned slightly, lips pursed.
“He's been stressed lately.”
“He seemed fine to me when his lips were on Hana's.” She couldn't help but retort bitterly and in return Sasuke sighed wearily.
“I overheard a conversation between my father, the Yondaime and the Godaime a few weeks ago. There’s tension between Iwa and Konoha. Lord Fourth said that if it continues like this they could reach a point where an open war could break out. The council and the Hokage would like to avoid the scenario of the third war to happen again. They started to talk about a political alliance. An archaic one if you ask me.”
Sakura was surprised, but not as surprised as she would have thought. She was aware of the political climate surrounding Konoha and the other countries, she was the fifth Hokage's apprentice after all, but to hear Sasuke confirm it was... wait. He’d said "political alliance?" She began to think, connecting the dots in her head to come to the most plausible conclusion. Her eyes widened.
“You mean...”
Sasuke nodded with a tense look, Confirming her fears.
“I'm afraid so. There’re rumors that Ônoki-sama's granddaughter would be in the lead. Now imagine what a political marriage would bring between the heir of a powerful clan and the direct granddaughter of the Tsuchikage.”
Sakura felt her stomach knot up. And judging by Sasuke's tone, he wasn't very happy about the news. She swallowed hard and looked down.
“Your father must not have liked it...”
“He was furious. For him it would mean sacrificing his heir. He would prefer that the incident that happened between Kumo and Konoha not happen again. They don't need another dôjutsu thief.”
“That doesn't make sense. Your brother is the heir of the Uchiha clan. A valuable asset to the village and asking him to marry a woman who...” She clenched her fists, “is throwing him into the lion's den.”
“It was common back then. They did it to create alliances. Just like Shodaime and Mito Uzumaki did, but their case is slightly different.”
“And... what does your brother think?”
Sasuke turned his onyx gaze on the young woman, gauging her with his eyes, gauging her possible reactions.
“He's not thrilled, but... he's Itachi. He will do as the Hokage commands. He's dedicated and loyal like that. He has the good of the village at heart."
Sakura felt tears tingle her eyes. A sense of loss invading her whole being.
“This is unfair...”
“The life of a shinobi rarely is. Nii-san will always do everything to protect and serve the village. That must be his will of fire. I don't believe he is devoted to anything other than that.”
With a small smile on her lip, Sakura raised her head and her gaze met his. She shook her head gently, cupping one of his cheeks.
“You’re wrong. There’s one thing your brother cherishes more than the village and more than anything else in this world.”
“What is it?” He asked, curious as to what could possibly be more important to Itachi than his duty to the village.
Sakura offered him one of her sweetest smiles. Her sea foam eyes held a deep affection. The kind she reserved only for the men of Team 7.
“You, Sasuke. Itachi will burn the world to the ground if it means you're safe.”
He stood speechless for a moment, his eyes wide. Him? Was he really...?
Unbeknownst to them, Itachi heard their discussion lurking in the shadows behind the door, leaning against the wall, arms crossed, his chakra signature suppressed, undetectable to anyone looking.
He was torn between many conflicting emotions. Some of them were incomprehensible to him. One of them was probably jealousy and he felt guilty about it.
He felt guilty for envying his little brother's closeness to this woman. But there was not much he could do about it. The bond between Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura was very strong. It’d always been. Not the kind that could be broken.
He closed his eyes, calming his heartbeat. Sakura was right. He did love Sasuke more than he loved Konoha, but then again she was missing something. She didn't know that there was another person who came very close to that feeling. The irony was that the second person was in the arms of the first.
They weren't doing anything wrong, he didn't think his brother and Sakura were engaged in that way, but Sasuke wasn't tactile with just anyone, it was rare. He would have liked to be one of ‘her boys’ too. In fact, there were many things he would have liked to be for Sakura over the years.
As he pulled away from the wall and away from the muffled laughter he could hear through the wall, Itachi wondered how happy he could be with Sakura if she agreed to be his wife.
More importantly, could he still be? Was it still time or was it too late?
A question he would consider later. For now, Shisui was waiting for him on their training ground and Uchiha Itachi was not known for being late.

will you tell me about your warriors au
I think about this crack au too often. Anyway, sorry it took me so long to type this up!!!
Not gonna lie making a comic with this concept would heal me in a way.
So our clans are Dayclan (Special Division), Nightclan (Port Mafia), Duskclan (Ada) and Dawnclan (Guild but also a few Doa members). Instead of living in the forest or around a lake, these clans live on the edge of a port town.
The Order of the Clock Tower are basically going to be Bloodclan btw, the Hunting dogs minus Tachihara are the Pack.
Obviously, Tiger later known as Tigermoon (Atsushi) is our protagonist. He's a former kittypet, that lived in a orphanage, fed and taken care of by the children. The old caretaker died and was replaced by a cruel man. Tiger was protective of the children and tried to defend them, the cruel man hurt him badly and locked him in the basement. He barely survived, and nearly starved he escaped out a broken window.
He was eventually found by an eccentric cat who called himself a warrior of Duskclan. Things Tiger only knew of as fables.
The following events are more or less a fusion of warriors and bsd.
Any connection has been lost to Starclan (basically replacing the Book), and the Clans are desperate to fix this. There was a prophecy of a great mythical tiger being the guardian of the path back to the stars, so of course the appearance of Tiger(moon) threw the clans into desperation.
Individual characters have their own backstories and stuff, too much stuff for one post, I will answer any questions.
I'm going to break down the clans a little:
Dayclan: Considered the most elusive and secretive of the clans, a part of their territory overlaps with open farmland.
Duskclan: Considered the cleverest and best hunters, their territory runs alongside a river in a well wooded area.
Nightclan: Considered the strongest and most ruthless warriors of the clans, their territory lies in a heavily forested area between the ocean and the town.
Dawnclan: Considered the boldest and most reckless of the clans, their territory straddles the port/warehouse district and a small wooded area.
Character names and clan alignment below.
I put a lot of thought into the names they all contain obscure references and metaphors.
*There are several bsd background characters I didn't include that are simply not super important for the current plot I have forming in my head, if you want me to give them a warrior cat name and affiliation just tell me.*

Pairing: Haruno Sakura/Kankuro, Previous Haruno Sakura/Nara Shikamaru
Rating: T for swearing and smoking
Word Count: 1.4K
Summary: You can't tether a kite with gossamer threads.
AO3
a/n: It's been a long time since posting and came up with this story super randomly. I feel like in my past work, there was almost a formula, and things felt too similar across fics. Not that this is a huge departure, but I think it feels a little different?? Let me know what you thought, it feels good to be writing again!
Tumblr media
“We should end things,” Kankuro says.
Sakura doesn’t stop portioning dried herbs and flower petals into two sachets.
“Why now?” she asks.
He runs a hand over his unpainted face and watches as she measures her handiwork to the gram.
“It’s just time, I think,” he states simply.
“Can I at least finish my tea?” she asks, placing the silk muslin into two mugs.
He fills shallow dishes with hard biscuits and listens to the water boil. Taking a seat, he studies the wood grain. They had built it together over the course of a week. He called it an intro to woodworking. She said his previous table--a concrete slab that used to be a workstation--was an abomination.
In the early days of her diplomacy work, they’d meet at a dusty conference room in the village hospital to discuss a collaboration to share catalogs and samples of plants to advance research. Kankuro wanted total access to the Nara and Aburame libraries and Sakura told him she’d rather milk every spider species native to Suna than tell that to the clan heads.
But now, she slides into the chair in front of him and sets his mug over an indent he had been meaning to sand over.
“I want my notes back by the end of the week,” she says idly. “And I want to take the snake venom samples back to Konoha.”
His hair rises, but he ignores the urge to rub the back of his neck.
“You’ll leave?”
Sakura rolls her eyes and Kankuro can’t help the cold sweat that’s bloomed.
“It’s been 9 months, Kankuro,” she says evenly. “My work here is done.”
“I thought it was done 3 months ago,” he snarks.
“I was under the impression there’d be more to do.” She takes a sip of her tea and crosses her arms. “Let’s cut the bullshit, you and I both know I’ll win this game.”
He sighs. She’s right. There’s a reason why Gaara’s the Kazekage and Temari's the diplomatic liaison. He’s never really had the patience for roundabout conversations.
“Out with it,” she snaps impatiently. “What is it this time?”
He grimaces. “It’s the council again. They want me to marry soon and--”
“You said you and your siblings were abandoning tradition after your father’s reign,” Sakura said pointedly. “Gaara said the council’s still scared after he lost his shit during the chunin exams.”
“I always forget he kind of has a sense of humor these days,” Kankuro chuckles wryly to himself.
Sakura hides her mouth with a biscuit.
“I’m taking partial credit for that,” she says through bites.
“He’ll miss you, you know.”
“I’m sure we’ll become great penpals.”
.
Across a three day trek to the east, Shikamaru balances a cigarette between two fingers, comparing it to the clouds above him.
“Sakura’s coming back soon,” Ino says next to him.
He rummages his flak vest for his lighter and sighs, “It’s about time.”
“She never really loved it out there, you know,” Ino says.
He hears her start to sharpen kunai, quick and precise like their fathers taught them.
“I always thought she suited Suna though,” Shikamaru says. “All the reds and oranges of the desert match her hair.” The methodical ringing stops. “And all the poisonous animals for her to have fun with,” he drawls.
“Shikamaru--”
He interrupts her with a long exhale that she endures unblinking, even as her face three feet away from him becomes shrouded in smoke.
“What you did was fucked up and--”
Shikamaru covers his ears with his hands and groans. It had been nine months and he thought Ino would let it go. It’d been nine months and he figured she’d berated him enough for it. It had been nine months and he couldn’t help that he had felt immediately taken by Temari when she arrived in Konoha, just hours after Sakura had departed.
“Can’t you let it go,” Shikamaru complains, “Sakura has.”
He listens to the birds rustling in the treetops surrounding them, the quiet buzz of the cicadas, and wonders when the first cool breeze will break through this late summer.
“Just because she didn’t come straight back to Konoha and beat the shit out of you doesn’t mean she wasn’t hurt,” Ino says.
He feels the daggers she’s shooting at the back of the head and she picks up her whetstone again.
“And just because she didn’t come back,” she swipes at her kunai faster, “and beat the shit out of you when Temari broke the news to her instead of you,” Shikamaru burrows his head further into his arms, “doesn’t mean you didn’t obliterate her confidence,” she huffs. “And her heart,” she mutters.
“I know, Ino” Shikamaru groans, “she sent me a very detailed letter about me being the scourge of the planet and sent a recipe for hair growth.” He drags himself up to a sitting position and grinds his half-smoked cigarette under his boot.
“I felt like a fucking dick, but I figured she wasn’t that mad since she bothered to send a letter. And we had already ended things.”
Ino groans and throws her kunai to the side. “You’re a fucking moron, Shika.”
“Thank you, Ino.”
“No, I’m serious.” She throws her head back and groans again. “Fuck, give me a cigarette.”
He silently passes her one and holds his silver lighter out.
“Sasuke,” Ino spits, “joining a terrorist organization really chilled her out,” she snarks. “Unsurprisingly, her appetite for violence was replaced with uhm, what was it again?” she feigns confusion, “right, depression.”
“God, I fucking needed this,” she moans and Shikamaru watches as the tip of the cigarette burns orange and gives away to ash.
Itching for a drag, Shikamaru busies himself with a stray pebble that made its way up to the rooftop.
.
“Look,” Kankuro starts, “Temari’s with Nara--”
Sakura ignores the dull throbbing at the base of her head.
“--and Gaara’s never going to get married, so it’s my responsibility as an heir to continue the lineage.”
“That’s very selfless of you,” Sakura says.
Kankuro deflates in his chair. Fights with her have always been like this. Bitter and sharp even though he knows it takes so little for her to smile. He thinks of a dark-haired ronin in his bingo book and the jounin who’s been keeping his sister away for months.
He pushes away his mug and meets her eyes. Green in a way that would never occur in Suna.
“I’m sorry I said I love you,” he says. “I know we said this would be casual, but I couldn’t help it.”
She holds his gaze and bridges the gap across the table, taking his hands in hers. Both warmed by the tea and calloused with years of work.
“Don’t be sorry,” she murmurs, eyes slipping to his shoulder, “this was always going to be the ending.” She squeezes his hands and smiles.
“I love you.” And she says it with the earnestness that won him over in the first place. “I’m glad we met each other.”
.
“Whether she likes it or not--I’m sure she does not like it--Konoha is always going to be home to her,” Ino says, lying back on the rooftop.
Shikamaru works on dislodging a stick between two shingles.
“You don’t think she’ll follow her mentor’s steps and travel the world?”
“As an alcoholic with a gambling problem?” Ino raises a well groomed brow.
“Right,” he says.
She ignores him and flips on her front, resting a cheek on crossed arms.
“I thought she’d like it out there,” she says, eyes downward. “I thought she’d love bossing people around and teaching the hospital staff and feeling important.” She frowns. “I thought she’d find herself in Suna and maybe stay for a few years or meet someone, or--” she cuts herself off by closing her eyes.
“I just wanted her to forget about Naruto and Sasuke and you, honestly,” she finishes.
He feigns slumber, but Ino knows better.
“I’ve missed her so much,” she says while rolling her eyes. “I miss her and Tenten and Tsunade and I know even you miss her a little.”
She rolls towards him and splays an arm across his neck. “Ugh, she’s never going to leave the village for some hot foreign shinobi. What a bitch,” she says fondly.
“Such is life,” Shikamaru adds.
“Messy,” Ino counters.
“Hard,” he agrees.
Ino groans, “Troublesome.”

So... Sarada's Timeskip Design
Tumblr media
First some positives:
The design works in both Haruno(choker, red) and Uchiha(earrings, black) elements. Even though they are few, I prefer it over the complete absence of both like we got in her last manga design
I like the somewhat unique choice in headband placement
The outfit is pretty fashionable and I can easily picture a teenager wearing it
Her earrings are a nice touch
Her haircut is really cute
Now the negatives(oh god are there negatives). I can't shorten this to simple bullet points so I hope you like the paragraph format. First, the obvious:
It Doesn't Look Practical In The Least
She's wearing big-ass heels, her leg warmers are loose enough to get caught under her feet, her shorts(the bottom half of her romper?) are short enough to give her a wedgie, she has pretty much no leg protection, the shuriken holster attached to her leg without bandages looks uncomfortable, the belt is completely useless, her jacket is baggy and unzipped and begging to fall off, her sleeves look like they'd get in the way during combat, her glasses feel noticeably fragile, and what woman in their right mind would wear a strapless bra into combat? (I can only let the last one slide because it's two men who're working on this manga) If not for the metal plate, shuriken holster, and open-toed shoes, I wouldn't even think she was a ninja(or from the Naruto franchise, for that matter). Lack of practicality doesn't tend to bother me since this is fantasy and every character wearing maximum practicality outfits would get boring, but Sarada looks like they didn't even make an attempt at making her look combat ready. Still, all of this would be fine if not for my next point.
This Doesn't Look Like Something Sarada Would Wear
If impracticality was in character or served a narrative purpose, it would be a point in the designs favor. Except, Sarada isn't the type of character to wear something so impractical. In the manga, she's the character that takes being a ninja the most seriously, she's one of the few with clear goals, and she's the resident team leader and smart one. What part of her design tells us any of that? Yes, manga Sarada is weirdly flirtatious. But that aspect of her personality already contradicts her otherwise disinterest in boys and romance, it doesn't mesh well with her portrayal in the anime(which is also supposed to be canon), it's already an inconsistent part of her personality, and there's already been so many complaints about it(even in Japan from what I can tell) that you'd think that Ikemoto wouldn't continue with it.
Why Does It Invoke So Much Akatsuki?
This might just be me, but I think the design has too many nods to the Akatsuki. The oversized jacket, the fabric around the bottom of her leg, and the black, red, and white/silver color scheme in similar ratios. I'm not saying you'll confuse her for an Akatsuki member by any means and there were certainly more things they could've done to make her resemble the Akatsuki if that was their goal. What I'm saying is that if I were trying to make nods towards the former villain organization in a character's design, I'd use similar design elements.
The worst part is that this was entirely avoidable. Even ignoring that they could've scrapped the more impractical aspects of her design to avoid this, her color palette didn't even have to be this way. Red isn't the only color that can invoke connections to Sakura; shades of pink, light green, and white are also colors of Sakura. Black isn't even the most common color that Uchiha's wear, shades of dark purple and blue are. Purples and blues would've also been a better nod to Sasuke. Maybe they wanted her to wear "Uchiha colors," but, once again, those aren't really Uchiha colors. Black is, but red has only appeared in Madara's armor, the sharingan, and the clan crest and white has also only appeared in the clan crest(I don't even remember an Uchiha that ever wore silver). If you wanna argue that Sarada's color is red, then I ask why wouldn't they just keep red as her primary color instead of making it an accent? Her last manga design had black and white as accents, I don't think keeping her color palette the same would've bothered anyone. I know that Kishimoto added black to Naruto's design to help make him look more mature, but Sarada's design doesn't invoke "mature" anyways and it certainly isn't a more mature version of her last design because, much like the majority of the two blue vortex designs, it looks nothing like her last design. It's even worse than when they started adding too much black to Naruto's design because now it reminds people(or at least me) of an organization that I doubt she's meant to be affiliated with. But who knows? Maybe like the metal plate of her headband being on an easily removeable jacket, this is all foreshadowing to something.
I don't blame anyone for thinking this is a nitpick, but it bothers me and I wanted to express it.
Conclusion
Sarada's design is the worst for the same reasons her last design was the worst plus it looking too much like she took inspiration from the Akatsuki's wardrobe. Forget needing a second draft, this design needs to be scrapped and replaced. Maybe the anime will find a way to fix it, maybe it won't. Only time will tell and it'll hopefully tell us good news.
(Side note: why is she constantly drawn with her feet pointed inwards? it makes her look insecure.)

Warnings: SMUT with slight plot, cumming untouched, story testing?, MDNI‼️
A/N: tbh I can't exactly give you a summary cause I don't even know what I made here but I hope you enjoy
Word count: 3.1K
Long ago lived a clan so powerful they could almost be considered demigods. Although wanting to do good, people saw them only as a danger to the balance of life itself.
One night, many years ago, began the rebellion and war against this mighty clan, a war that took years to end. Nations across the land came together to defeat this clan and succeeded. Every member of this mighty clan... gone... but one…
~Several Years Later~
The sound of wind filled the peaceful and serene streets of Konoha as the people of the Hidden Leaf went peacefully about their lives. No worries, no stress, no annoyance, no-...
"Ugh! Why is Kakashi sensei always late?" A young Naruto Uzumaki groaned at the absence of his sensei.
"He probably just saw a black cat and had to take the loooong way around," Sakura Haruno remarked sarcastically, annoyed too her sensei was late.
Sasuke Uchiha stood near his teammates, leaning against a tree, not saying a single word. Unfazed by his sensei's constant tardiness, he felt no need to speak.
Just then, Kakashi Hatake, their sensei, finally showed.
"Kakashi sensei, what took you so long?" Naruto asked.
"Today's training will have to be skipped. Some important business came up. The Fifth Hokage has called all chunin and jonin for an urgent matter. You can all go home" And with that, Kakashi left.
"Aw, man! This stinks! I was looking forward to training today.." Sakura said.
"Yeah right, Sakura. All you do is focus on Sasuke" Naruto exclaimed. A light blush appeared on Sakura's face as she turned to look at Sasuke, only to see that he had already gone.
Naruto rested his hands behind his head and began to walk off. "I'm gonna go get some ramen. I'm starving!"
~Meanwhile In the Fifth Hokage's Office~
"I have called you all here today because there is a possible emergency... There have been rumors going around that a ninja from a clan that was defeated long ago has come back. We don't know their intentions so everyone must be on their guards" The Fifth Hokage, Lady Tsunade, informed the ninja in her office about the clan's only ninja that is alive.
The rumors were true, yes. The ninja from the clan long ago has come back, but not for the reasons people assume...
~Time Skip~
After dispersing all the capable ninjas throughout the village, Lady Tsunade got to thinking of a way to stop this ninja in case things were to go south.
No one knew what this ninja looked like. They only knew of the tales told by the few ninjas still alive today after fighting in the war with the powerful clan.
They say there was once a very powerful child within this clan that surpassed even the elder's powerful might. This child was the last of the clan to survive. People assume the child has come back after all these years to seek revenge on the nations who fought the clan.
There was one man who knew the truth about this clan, who knew that they never wanted war but peace among the people. He was the Third Hokage.
The Third Hokage not only knew of the child's existence but practically raised the child in secret. He knew that if anyone were to know of the child's location they would try to do to them what they did to the clan... or perhaps try and claim the child's power for their own selfish reasons.
The Third Hokage only wanted what was best for the child. As the child grew they understood why the Third Hokage hid them from the rest of the world. They agreed with him that it was best for everyone.
After hearing that the Third Hokage had passed, the ninja was devastated for he was the only person they had. He was the only person who truly understood...
The ninja from the powerful clan sat in the middle of a field with three logs, leaning against the one in the middle, deep in thought when suddenly their thoughts were interrupted by a frustrated Naruto groaning in annoyance.
"Why can't I get it?!"
Curious about what they heard, the ninja jumped toward the noise. They hid up in a tree, looking down at the boy with spiky yellow hair.
Naruto seemed to be trying to hit a target with a kunai but was unable to do it. Entertained, the ninja kept watching as Naruto failed countless times but kept trying.
Everything was calm until a kunai was thrown in the direction of the ninja, aimed straight for their back. The ninja quickly moved out of the way, sensing the kunai coming their way.
They looked around but saw no one, but sensed more than one person in the area. At first, it was just one but now there were two.
"You there, up in the trees... show yourself!" A man shouted up at the ninja, somehow knowing they were there.
The ninja closed their eyes and tried to locate where the two people went. Once they found them they grabbed the kunai that was thrown at them and threw it in their direction. The kunai landed right in front of them, startling them but not harming them.
The ninja had no intention of harming anyone, so they jumped out from the trees and landed on the ground almost perfectly.
The ninja wore a mesmerizing white and gold dress with little fabric. This was the style of her people who were pretty free spirited, and she wore it proud.
Tumblr media
She stood there not saying a word. The two strangers came out of hiding and revealed themselves to the ninja. One was the spiky yellow-haired boy, the one practicing with the kunai. The other was a taller, white-haired, mask-wearing ninja. It was Naruto and Kakashi.
"Who are you?" Kakashi asked the strange yet beautiful woman, but she didn't speak.
Then, none other than Master Jiraiya, the Toad Sage, appeared out of nowhere behind the ninja, but she did not flinch, not one inch.
"Hey, you, the Fifth Hokage would like a word with you," said Master Jiraiya to the ninja. She turned to face Jiraiya, one of the three famous Sannin she had heard so much about.
The ninja didn't want any conflict, she didn't want to fight. She bowed her head to Jiraiya as a sign of respect and peace and Jiraiya picked up on this so began to lead the way.
"Oh, and Kakashi," Jiraiya stopped and turned to him "the Fifth Hokage wants you there as well."
And with that, the three of them proceeded to walk toward the Hokage building. Of course, Naruto wanted answers but before he could ask anything they all vanished.
~Time Skip~
Lady Tsunade filled them in on who the ninja was and how she found out about her. The Third Hokage had documents of the ninja explaining everything about her and her abilities, her Kekkei Genkai. The ninja stood respectfully in silence as Lady Tsunade explained everything she found about her.
Lady Tsunade assigned Kakashi, one of the strongest ninjas in The Leaf, to watch over the ninja. Tsunade might have found the documents of the Third Hokage about the ninja but she still didn't trust the ninja herself.
~Time Skip~
Kakashi and the ninja walk around The Leaf Village looking for a place to eat. Lady Tsunade guessed that the ninja was hungry so she ordered Kakashi to get them something to eat. They decided on Ichiraku Ramen.
They sit down and take their orders. The ninja still hasn't spoken a word, only pointing to what they wanted to eat.
"So, Akari, is it?" Kakashi asked the ninja, Akari. She shot him a glance with her shiny gold eyes peeking through strands of her raven hair.
Tumblr media
Kakashi's POV
Her eyes were so bewitching, captivating, attracting, enticing, and almost tempting. Her gaze made me feel... things.
Before I could make any sense of what I felt, her gaze fell back to the table. There rested her elegant, delicate-looking hands. Those hands, who knows what things they committed. Perhaps I'm looking at this through the eyes of the frightened people.
They say those hands committed carnage and manslaughter... but this ninja seems far too relaxed to be some kind of killing machine. Although she did not speak, her poised complexion spoke deep.
A gust of wind flew past and I caught a whiff of her scent. She smelled like a cherry blossom tree. I don't know what came over me but I inhaled her scent once more and I got a hint of... lemon? Strange, but very alluring.
I don't know what's come over me but there is no doubt in my mind that it's connected to the mystery that is sitting beside me. The clans Kekkei Genkai, along with their abilities as a ninja, are unknown to me.
Who knows? Maybe it isn't their Kekkei Genkai that's doing this...
Narrator's POV
Naruto Uzumaki strolled along with Iruka sensei and came into Ichiraku’s. They took their seats, Naruto sitting to the right of Akari, Iruka sitting to the right of Naruto. He sees the mysterious ninja and remembers the brief encounter they had.
"Hey, it's you!" Naruto exclaimed, turning to face the ninja "Oh-.. Kakashi sensei?"
"Naruto, I trust that you completed your training today," Kakashi stated, almost as if he knew Naruto didn't complete his training.
Naruto put a hand behind his neck and laughed nervously "So, who is this anyway?"
"That's classified," Kakashi told Naruto.
"Aw! C'mon Kakashi sensei pleeeeeeaaaase??" he pleaded.
Akari's head turned slowly toward Naruto, her golden eyes peeking through her hair again. Once Naruto caught a glance at her beautiful eyes he calmed down. It was as if the ninja's eyes had comforted him into being more relaxed. And just like magic, Akari pulled a piece of paper out of thin air. She gave it to Naruto and he read it out loud.
"Akari?"
She looked at Naruto for a second longer before turning toward the table and seeing her bowl of ramen placed down. Next to hers was Kakashi Hatake's bowl... empty. Akari grabbed some chopsticks and ate her ramen peacefully and elegantly.
~Time Skip~
It was dusk now, Kakashi and Akari walking through the dimly lit streets, trying to reach their destination. While on their walk they strolled past a place of sweets.
Akari stopped in her tracks and stared into the sweets store, slowly walking in, Kakashi following after her. She peeped around and saw a sweet snack she craved.
Kakashi's POV
The sweets that she picked out... lemon mochi. That explains the unexpected smell of lemon earlier today. Of course, I paid for the sweets. We started to make our way to the place I rented. The reason I rented out a place was that I didn't want to take her to my home. It would be inappropriate and unprofessional.
As we walk there she slowly eats some of the lemon mochi balls she had gotten. In a way, it was kind of cute and... sweet.
We get to our place of stay for the night and Akari takes her time settling in. I watch her as she ruffles pillows and eats more of her lemon mochi.
Akari walks past me to the bathroom to shower and I get that fragrance of cherry blossom and lemon again. My body takes over me and my eyes close as I silently inhale, taking in the stimulating aroma. I turn toward her as she walks away and watch as she enters the bathroom. She looks at me with those mesmerizing golden eyes just before she closes the door. It was as if she knew why I was watching her every move.
What is going on with me? Why am I acting like this? It's as if she was charming me, attracting me towards her.
A few minutes go by and I took off a few layers of clothing, getting relaxed.
I made my way onto a very large and comfortable couch. I pull out my book and start reading, waiting for my turn to shower.
I hear the bathroom door open and I look up to see Akari walk out ever so elegantly.
Tumblr media
I scan her body up and down beholding what she was wearing. The Fifth Hokage warned me that the style of her people was more on the... free spirited side... but I didn't think it would be like this.
I can't take my eyes off of her. I've never seen such beauty in a woman. Though most of my face is covered, I look up at her and see her face and it's as if she knows... as if she knew what I was thinking and... how my face looked?...
She slowly approaches me where I sit and moves onto my lap, straddling me. I did not resist. I couldn't. I don't know what has come over me but I just can't resist her... and I can't restrain myself.
My hands move and rest on her thighs, almost as if they had a mind of their own they start to move upward. My hands trace her body's silhouette, her skin, her body, so soft and supple.
I look up at her and she's looking down at me through the strands of hair on her face. I slowly raise one hand and move the strands of hair out of the way.
At last, I see her full complexion for the first time. She's... beautiful... she's stunning... she is extraordinary. And those honey golden eyes that lured me in...
I place my hands behind her neck and slowly pull her in, our faces only mere inches apart, the both of us not pulling back.
I take it as a sign and pull her face closer to mine. Our noses were touching and our lips were centimeters away from one another. She was looking directly into my eyes as I was looking into hers for any indications of discomfort but I saw none. She parted her lips slightly and I could feel her uneven breaths on my mask. I couldn't help but smirk at the feeling, noticing I was affecting her just as she affected me.
With one swift movement, I wrapped my hands around her waist and stood up making her wrap her legs around my hips and her arms around my neck. I moved my hands down her body till I got to her thighs, holding her up with a better grip.
I walked over to one of the beds and slowly climbed on, laying her outrageously gorgeous body down on the soft fabric of the bed sheets. I hovered over her warm body, looking at the mesh black fabric.
Akari's POV
Kakashi leaned over me, his arms beside my shoulders, his arm muscles apparent and mesmerizing.
I reach a hand up to his face, wanting to pull off his mask, but he grabs my wrist and pins it above my head grabbing my other hand and pinning it above my head. He held both my wrists with one hand, the other roaming my body. It feels as if this all came out of nowhere. Then I had an idea...
My Kekkei Genkai.
I mentally smirk at the thoughts running through my head.
Let me elaborate a little. My Kekkei Genkai is having all types of Kekkei Genkai. From Byakugan to Sharingan and my own unique Kekkei Genkai I developed by having all types of Kekkei Genkai.
My clans Kekkei Genkai is not having all types of Kekkei Genkai. My clan consisted of numerous people with different kinds of Kekkei Genkai but for some reason, I was born with the ability of all the Kekkei Genkai.
My unique ability is being able to control chakra, not just my own, and it doesn't just end there. I can form a... how can I put this... special kind of chakra. I can make people feel certain things and create other things out of thin air like magic.
I look up at Kakashi, my hair out of my face. My eyes start having a light glow. The expression on Kakashi's face changed slightly underneath his mask and soon after, out of his mouth comes out a sound of the heavens...
Kakashi shuts his eyes lightly as a deep, breathy moan escapes his lips. My eyes twinkle in excitement, knowing I caused it, knowing I could do more without a single touch.
"What are you doing to me?" he asks. I speak not a single word and just tilt my head to the side, still looking at this beautiful man straight on.
His hand starts to grip my wrists as I use a little more power, making him feel all kinds of things. He moans more and more as I keep going.
I see an opening... I take the opportunity and speak. My voice holds more power than anything else. I lift my head closer to his ear and I whisper...
Kakashi's POV
"Cum for me..." I hear Akari's quiet, raspy voice in my ear, and my body loses control. It's like my body is listening to her command. I feel a strong sensation rising in my body, coursing through my veins, and just as she says I feel something exhilarating, and my pants soak with the hot liquid I know all too well.
I lean my head back letting my body feel the euphoric sensation burning through it. My mask slowly slides down revealing my face in pure ecstasy, my mouth open, my eyes tightly shut. My body releases a moan I've never heard come from myself before and I feel Akari lightly shift under me.
As I come down from that invigorating high I look down to face Akari but she's nowhere to be seen. Suddenly everything goes dark and it feels as if I'm falling from the top of a cliff.
I awaken, shooting up from my bed breathing heavily, my heart beating rapidly. I look around my room and there is no one around. Then as I'm breathing I smell a familiar scent... cherry blossom and lemon.
She's back…
A/N2: okay so I had no idea what I was gonna do with this idea I had but I did something with it somehow. Think of it as a test run or something idk. I'm not taking this too seriously. It's really only to see what people think I guess. Although I could make this plot into a story of its own? That would be cool I think. What do you think? Pls let me know cause it is actually tempting to make it into a whole story

Sasusaku Song lyrics 2/?
One look, dark room Meant just for you Time moved too fast, you play it back Buttons on a coat, lighthearted joke
Post-war Sasuke was different, he wasn't as rough as he used to be. He was softer and calmer. It took Sakura by surprised whenever he sent her looks of longing during the Team 7 meet-ups. It was a very soft sentimental look- as if he was proud of the kunoichi she became.
It was nearly a year after the war had ended on Sakura's 19th birthday that Sasuke had initiated something between the two of them.
He had given his coat after a long chilly day of working in the hospital to the point of exhaustion. It wasn't awkward between the two of them, slight banter from both their parts and Sakura thanked him for walking her home.
No proof, not much, but you saw enough Small talk, he drives Coffee at midnight
She could see Sasuke putting in an effort in their relationship? Sakura did not where they stood, he was sweet enough to bring her coffee after her shifts at midnight and he initiated small talk whenever they saw each other. Sasuke and Sakura were too undefined to know what this meant. Sakura couldn't get her hopes up.
The light reflects the chain on your neck He says, "Look up" And your shoulders brush No proof, one touch, but you felt enough
It was the summer festival coming up when Sakura felt Sasuke's shoulder brush against her. The lanterns in the sky reflected against the necklace she wore of the Haruno clan. Sakura was busy looking at Sasuke when he turns softly towards her and speaks calmly, "look up." Sakura looks up and sees the fireworks explode and watches in awe as the sky is filled with pretty lights. "It's beautiful," she whispers not realising Sasuke is looking at her with an indescribable look on his face.
"Aa"
You can hear it in the silence (Silence), silence (Silence), you You can feel it on the way home (Way home), way home (Way home), you You can see it with the lights out (Lights out), lights out (Lights out)
She knew something was changing in their relationship, it was in the silence when he walked her home. She could feel it when he had showed up to her house after a massive blackout spread through Konoha and she smiled at the fact he trusted her that much to show up to her for help in a crisis.
You are in love, true love You are in love
Sakura always knew her feelings for Sasuke was love- love in it's most purest form. It wasn't a romantic or platonic sense, her love ascended titles. There was no way to describe it other than pure and it was pure in the sense it would never change the fact she loved him as a whole. It was her version of true love.
Morning, his place Burnt toast, Sunday
It was on a particularly gruelling shift on Saturday night that Sakura fell asleep at her desk only to wake up in bed with Sasuke. She panicked thinking she as late but then realised she had no shifts on Sunday. She lulled back into sleep and woke up hours later feeling better than before. She could smell something burning and quickly rushed out of bed to make sure Sasuke didn't burn his food to come to the most funniest sight she has ever seen. Sasuke glaring at a piece of burnt toast. Sakura giggled and Sasuke's head snapped up and his eyes narrowed. "Hn." He muttered distastefully.
You keep his shirt, he keeps his word
It wasn't rare that she spent the night at Sasuke's house. He had a separate pile of shirts that were too small for him for her that she liked wearing because of how large and comfy they were. Whenever she would ask if he would come back from his repenting, he always promised he would, and now three years after the promise, he was back.
And for once, you let go Of your fears and your ghosts
Sakura knew the only thing holding the relationship from becoming more was her hesitancy, but she knew that he was ready and so she let go of her demons and insecurities and jumped onto the platform Sasuke was offering to her.
One step, not much, but it said enough You kiss on sidewalks
It was slow in the beginning, instead of walking with a slight gap next to her when they walked he was close. His right arm would always brush against her and he could feel her freeze slightly when it did. It was only on their third date did Sasuke kiss her outside on the pavement of Ichiraku's.
One night, he wakes Strange look on his face Pauses, then says "You're my best friend" And you knew what it was, he is in love
It was on one of the nights they spent together that he converses with her on a serious topic. He explained his clan's history and how he felt after learning the truth and how ashamed he felt almost killing her. Sakura holds him while he speaks and he breaks down in front of her. He had fallen asleep on her shoulder and she was about too as well until he jerked up with a melancholy look on his face. He grabbed Sakura's face and put their foreheads together. "You're my best friend." He kisses her with a passion and a new emotion in his taste that Sakura recognises as love.
You can hear it in the silence (Silence), silence (Silence), you You can feel it on the way home (Way home), way home (Way home), you You can see it with the lights out (Lights out), lights out (Lights out)
He knew something had changed when he saw Sakura in a different perspective, her forgiveness and kindness when she treated him after the war had shown Sasuke the side of Sakura he hadn't seen since they were genin. He never really recognised how'd he felt until after the blackout when he went to her house for help.
You are in love, true love You are in love
She was his family, his partner and half. The love he felt had passed the sense of romance as it was more than that. She was his and he was hers and they were entwined in their fate forever.
And so it goes You two are dancing in a snow globe, 'round and 'round
The perfect world of theirs was never broken, no matter the distance it was always Sasuke and Sakura, no matter who try to separate them
And he keeps a picture of you in his office downtown
Sasuke always carried a photo of team seven when they were genin on him but he also had a separate photo of Sakura. She was looking away from the camera with her eyes lit up and a large grin on her face. It showed how expressive she was and it brought joy to Sasuke, he would stare at it for hours.
Sakura had a framed photo of the both of them in her office at the hospital. It was a gorgeous photo of them laughing without knowing someone was photographing them w
And you understand now Why they lost their minds and fought the wars And why I've spent my whole life trying to put it into words
Sasuke understood how deep the Uchiha love ran, he went ballistic when he heard what happened to Sakura and his clone, he felt rage, protectiveness and most of all worry. What if Sakura was hurt? Sasuke knew he couldn't live in a world without her and he would have lost his goddamn mind. He would have rained hell on everything and everyone.
'Cause you can hear it in the silence
You can feel it on the way home You can see it with the lights out
You are in love, true love You are in love
