preference of communication : discord! always discord, i constantly forget tumblr ims exist, and on discord i can remark things as unread, so i don't lose the notification if i can't reply at the time, which helps when i'm burnt out or if my attention span is particularly bad that day.

experience / how many years :  i've been writing on tumblr since late 2018! it feels like way longer, i started writing on tumblr when red dead redemption 2 was released and i was writing josiah trelawny while the game was actually still under embargo, scrambling to watch every new playthrough episode i could find while the fandom was setting up. i didn't actually play the game myself until it was released on pc in late 2019!

best experience : i had several really good experiences writing atlas/frank fontaine from bioshock in a western cusp-of-the-nineteen-hundreds american heartland verse, going into alot of topics like industrialism at that time, the american labour movement and american union history, strike tactics & the economics of greed. it was inspired alot from a show on the usa network called damnation that got cancelled, i did a ton of historical research and i mostly wrote with red dead redemption ii muses, did alot of worldbuilding with @sharp-teeth-and-wide-grins who is an excellent roleplay partner! i'm working on potentially setting up that verse again but from a different perspective for leon, because i miss it.

rp pet peeves : oh i have alot of opinions but i keep 'em to myself until you give me an opportunity. can't stand people getting cancelled for writing villains as the actual villains they are in canon, or characters generally as more complicated morally, especially when they're referencing content from the actual media and people are losing their minds because they're not the fandom expectation or easy ship material. so many people will have 'mun does not equal muse!!' in their carrds and byfs but will clutch their pearls if you even quote directly from source material, and then harass the fuck out of you, send hate anons, suicide bait, i mean we've all seen it happen or heard about it if it hasn't happened to us directly, definitely so if you're on this site for more than a year, so you know what i mean. i don't like people looking to my writing for moral directives or sifting through all my content to glimpse some kind of agenda, i think that's chronically online behavior. obviously it's different if someone is writing pedophilia or something but i just feel like i shouldn't have to make that disclaimer at all, it feels like common sense but if i don't say something i run the risk of someone messaging me like 'so you support so & so? kill yourself!' y'know.

fluff, angst, or smut : i like all of these in moderation so long as there's depth to it further than just being fluff, angst, or smut for no cause, you know? if it's not signature to our muses, if it doesn't fit narratively, and is just feel-good content, i just get bored, and having any of this in back to back to back to back threads of just one roleplay genre is like being smothered to death with chocolate cake, i only like a little bit once in a while otherwise i get sick of it, y'know.

plots or memes : plotting 100%, but even though i heavily prefer plotting, i don't often have the energy for it? even if i really like the other muse's portrayal. or, alternatively, i will do all of this plotting in my head, and just like. never act on it, or bring it to my roleplay partner, due to this weird ocd-adjacent anxiety symptom i'm trying to break now that i have meds to help me out, where i make alot of social rules and conditions for myself that just overall completely pens me up and isolates me. i don't know what it's called but i've just always had that and it gets in the way of what i love doing all the time.

long or short replies : i don't have a reliable perception of long or short replies! i'm happy with two paragraphs but i'll reply with like six or eight paragraphs average because once i get over my anxiety there's really nothing else stopping me and i like run-on sentences and exposition and scenery and internal monologues!! and i know it's not always appropriate sometimes too, like if we agree on a shorter thread for less pressure, but i've always had a hard time knowing where to stop with anything, i have no perception of an appropriate point to cut off? i need like. a reverse nanowrimo.

time to write : apparently 11:00 pm - 6 am est, since that's when i'm most productive lately.

are you like your muses : god i hope not. i did choose to write leon as gay though because, i'm gay myself and it was more comfortable for me, even though he's pretty heterosexual in canon, but that's less from me wanting to relate with him on a point, and more because i have had some really uncomfortable and bad experiences shipping with female muses who didn't respect boundaries in the past. whether that's projecting attraction on me as a person instead of my muse, or wanting me to write noncon or torture porn, and finding a way to take it out on me when i said no or tried to let them down easy, and it's one of those things where looking back on the memory of it gives me the same tight-chested feelings as alot of people get when they've been involved in intense drama and callouts and stuff. just can't do it anymore! maybe that'll change someday ^^

When I find myself on story mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 I do some totally weird things. For example my original plan was to finish the mission where Lenny and Arthur get piss drunk. But instead I ended up going far way from The Heartlands to Lemoyne. And I ended up killing like 20 Neo Confederate (Lemoyne Raiders)

How I feel about this character:

I’m very normal about Kaito, just ignore the two full cosplays + the EVA foam Orbital work in progress I have mapped out, the wall scroll that’s at my work computer, my ita pin bag, and the fact that I’ve done everything I can to make his deck competitive viable and god dammit am I still trying please print this deck a god damn banger starter, Konami, I can’t keep doing this without your help-

Short story but I used to be suuuuper YGO Vrains favoring from 2020 into early 2022, but I found myself drifting from it because one can only tolerate so much subtweeting and catty behavior over personal preferences, and I’d never really finished Zexal before, just has a half baked idea how it ends, like I watched a chunk of it when it first aired but never finished and proceeded to forgot most of it, so I picked it back up after deciding to pick up Kaito to write in an RP server with some friends because I remembered liking him and… well I didn’t stand a chance when I got back to him fjdhdhd

I deeply relate to the theme of self-inflicted loneliness because it’s easier to be by yourself, just getting walked out on, left in the dark, or even being shafted for reasons out of my own control, I really get that

Also taking on too much if it means the people you love will be ok even if the ending result is you’re not ok, where he is after his Duel with Yuma at the end of Zexal I and getting to repair all of those relationships he was damaged by is where I want to get to in life

Bonus fact that’s minor spoilers for another spin off, but I’m… not a huge fan of his portrayal in Arc V, I like that he’s there and acknowledge that it’s a different Kaito and I love all Kaito Tenjos as they exist, including the Structures Cosplayer, but… yeah, not a fan, I’m a big fan of showing vs telling and Arc V to me feels like it’s ALL telling for all of its supporting cast most of the time

The better question is who I don’t honestly because that list is far smaller, but if I had to pick favorites I’m very partial to Ryouga, Mizael, and Edo-

Something about rivals to lovers resonates with my very being, even if Edo is less of a rival and more of an enemy until Arc V does it’s usual-

I’ve written for Challenge and AntiHero both already actually, my docs is 99% Challenge Wips that are slowly coming along tbh, and GalaxyMaster takes more time to write since most of those are… you know what I’m getting at LOL

I stg Gallop's one mission was to make Kaito Tenjo a dating sim protagonist because I have no other excuse for why they gave him so many boyfriends and even girlfriends across Zexal and Arc V, Yugioh’s surprising most eligible bachelor

I don’t know if I have many tbh, besides disliking Arc V’s rendition of him / not liking mentor at all lol— Like maybe how I genuinely believe he’s the strongest rival bc his record was the best even after he was put up against forces behind human understand and was even considered dying majority of the time of Zexal while remaining arguably mostly human, Zexal’s wack

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon

Oh my god, the duel I hate the most in all of YGO is Kaito’s duel against Heartland because not letting Kaito win against someone who’s become representative of the garbage he was put through is SO UNSATISFYING

Yuma coming in and finishing it up is symbolic in its own right because of the importance of bonds, but to me that was and always should have been Kaito’s moment, let Yuma and Astral show up literally any other time and I’m fine with it

ALSO WE DON'T GET THE RYOUGA AND KAITO GRUDGE MATCH, though Kaito solos everytime, I’m so sorry Ryouga

So the power cord for my laptop has kind of bit the dust and is no longer working so my laptop can’t charge and the battery is dead in it so I need a new power cord or a new laptop. Right now I am sharing my mom’s computer until I can afford to get my own again and right now I have no idea when that will be. So I was considering possibly taking comissions for rp icons to help pay for either a new cord or a new laptop. That is if people would be interested in that.

I make my icons using photoscape because I’m still learning with photoshop and am not comfortable enough with photoshop yet to make icons for people using that. So therefore I will be using photoscape.

I’m also kind of picky about shows and movies that I will icon. Basically it will have to be something I can get screencaps for.

BIOGRAPHY

Lizzie Heartland was a beautiful soul that stood at 5'6 with a wealth of strawberry blond hair and inquisitive moss colored eyes; too the unknowing eye she was a picture of pure innocence with a constant smile plastered across her porcelain features, but what lay behind them was a little more broken than was let on.

The beginning of Lizzie’s life was a pretty similar to the one’s you’ve heard about in your favorite novels or movies. Starting life in a larger than life setting, Lizzie’s mother was a world famous novelist named Marie Heartland and her business executive father who was known as a Tycoon, Lance Heartland. Growing up, money was there in wealth as she lived in a luxurious setting in the well-off neighborhood known as Skidaway Island.

With parents who were working to give their daughter everything, it often meant that she was alone. Her nannies were the best friends she could have asked for, more like present parents than her own. And their work schedules would also be the death of their relationship.

Lizzie was a hard worker when it came to school, often found with her head in a book she’d been on more of the reserved side. A small group of friends and a closed circle kept her feet on the ground; however, a cheerleader. But Lizzie was top of her class, best of the best and extremely clever — switched one was how she liked to describe herself.

Throughout school it was a lot more difficult than most people realized when it came to light that her parents had decided to get a divorce; busy work schedules and a lack of romance had dissolved the marriage. It came as a shock to Lizzie because there had never been any fighting or signs that they were unhappy.  And the panic really set in, especially with them being more high profile in the city, she knew that this would come with repreccussions for her popularity and how people would precieve their family.

When her dad left, he didn’t stay around and it was like Lizzie was forgotten. Lance didn’t fight for anything, he left everything to Marie and Lizzie, but left without another word and never looked back. Lizzie always wondered if she drove her father away, if it was because she wasn’t a good enough daughter, or if she’d been different he’d have stayed. But he didn’t, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t find him.

So Lizzie let herself fall into the life of her friends, partying, shopping on the weekends and being at all the cheerleading competitions. She was more sociable than she’d ever been. However, it didn’t stop her from writing the novel she’d been working on in her room. It was how she got rid of the emotion she was holding inside. Honestly, Lizzie couldn’t remember the last time she’d cried or allowed herself to feel anything but the fake happiness she drowned herself in — it was a dark place to be, but she kept breathing.

Lizzie was around seventeen years old when she realised there wasn’t just one thing she wanted to do in life, there was two. Lizzie’s passion for books was something she never grew out of, as time grew her own personal library in the house did too. It was how she kept away from the pain of her parents seperation; she constantly kept busy. But there was also a passion for owning something that would be passed down for generations after herself. A hotel. Lizzie loved staying in hotels, and when her mother took her with her on trips, Lizzie’s favorite part was the grand hotel rooms they’d reside in.

She wanted to open and own one herself one day.

Lizzie knew that University was the way she was going to go, but she had never really been keen on leaving Savannah, Georgia for a long time. She knew she was a home bug and would eventually come back as soon as her schooling was over. However, when she got accepted too Harvard Business School, she knew she was going to kick ass. It was the first time in a long time she felt like maybe she might be heading somewhere better than the dark place she’d allowed herself to fall into.  

Upon arrival she didn’t expect that she’d lead a similar life to school, but she was lucky enough to make an amazing group of friends who invited her to their Secret Society which hosted some of the most amazing balls, secret evetns and parties she’d ever been too. Alongside being apart of the cheer squad at the University, and keeping on top of her classes, she finally felt like maybe coming here was the best thing she’d ever done.

At least she travelled before heading back to Savannah.

While at Harvard she kept writing unable to stop when things got hard but she didn’t expect the novel to become a best seller when she sent it across to a publishing agent. It was a whirl wind that she never expected, her friends were her biggest fans as it was plugged all around the campus and then that one morning as she sipped her coffee, she found out that it was no longer just a book, but it was being splashed across The New York Times, TV shows and everywhere she turned, her book was there. It opened up another world for her, although she had known money and extravegance in Dallas, out here it was another world. It was like being put into a fish bowl as the smallest fish and trying to grow as quickly as she could to be apart of their world. With each day she realised as much as she loved it here, she would always and forever be an Georgian girl.

She graduated shortly after, knowing that she didn’t have to use her mothers money to open the Hotel she had been dreaming of, she moved back instantly. Straight away she felt like she was in the right place, although a niave girl who’d never really had to go through anything that would kill her or put her in a life or death situation — the girl who had everything.

Opening Savannah Spring Resorts was her second dream and as she watched it open, she was in love with every single part of it. The grand exterior, or the stair case of the interior. She’d made it a place for those with money to stay and lavish in the luxuries that could be provided. It was a place of hopes and dreams, and she watched it rise and become everything she wanted.

But she would be lying if she said she wasn’t lonely, along with writing her next novel, the parties she had to attend and keeping the hotel running with her staff; there were days where she felt like she was going to be alone for the rest of her life. Her life to busy, and she would never think that someone could deal with her lifestyle these days.
