Unpopular opinion probably, but I’m not too worried. They have more than enough diamonds to get everyone back up (even Laudna), and if they organize the rez order right (which I’m sure they will), they should have enough spell slots too. We know FCG was holding one slot specifically for Revivify; if they use it to bring Fearne back, Fearne has Revivify permanently prepped (thanks to being a Wildfire druid), and if I counted correctly, she should still have enough slots left to perform it twice more. There’s also no element of willingness involved with Revivify; whether Orym wants to come back or stay with his husband and father doesn’t matter—at least not mechanically.

Matt is the wildcard here. In the past, big resurrections have needed rituals with elements of chance, but simple revives haven’t. That may have changed between this campaign and the last, as is Matt’s right to decide. There’s also a small question of whether Laudna’s undead status and the fact that she’s already died at least once will create unforeseen story elements that aren’t necessarily part of the mechanics. Plus the description of the final moments of the episode, everything shimmering apart, and what that means for everybody (and their resources). I’ve seen some ppl theorize it might be revealed that the fight was just a dream, and… maybe? But I sincerely hope not, I can’t picture an outcome where that doesn’t feel inauthentic.

So. We’ll just have to wait and see! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I LOVE adoption fics, I love to see my favs finally in the hands of responsible, caring adults but also I got a bone to pick with some of the tropes these fics crop up (cue unpopular opinions:)

infantilize the adoptee - crying easily, trusting easily, sharing personal information easily, exhibiting the trauma responses of small children regardless of their actual age, and needing/wanting frequent physical reassurances even when these behaviors go completely against their canon personality and/or don't make sense for their age group.

mature the adoptor - this is a fandom in general thing, people assign parenting roles on characters that are anywhere from 16-25 even if the characters they're being a 'parent' to are only a couple years younger than them. I've read fics where two 25 yo's had an legally adopted 15 yo that'd lived with them for 9 years. Do the math on that and come back to me.

no physical boundaries - So many adoption fics have casual touching between the adoptor and adoptee right away even when they're perfect strangers. Maybe this is a personal (and autistic) thing, but if I were a teen getting hugged, picked up, having my hair stroked or my face touched (hell being touched anywhere) by someone I didn't know/had only known a short time and I had previous trauma and trust issues a mile wide, I would be uncomfortable at best, scared shit-less at worst. Touch starvation be damned.

make the perfect parent - this is probably my number one least favorite trope because there's just no such thing as a perfect parent because parents are people. Adoptors in fic tend to never get mad, always pick up on their kids' trauma behavior (and sus out the cause easily), and always know what to say. Like... c'mon even the parents in Bluey goof up sometimes.

I know the point of the adoption fic is to give your blorbo an idyllic family life, so people can and will write whatever they like, I'm just venting some pet peeves here. Personally I kinda like adoption fics that are messier, where the adoptee doesn't really know how they feel about this stranger who wants to take care of them and the adoptor occasionally steps on a landmine of trauma and doesn't know how the fuck to fix it. But I recognize that might just be me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Might be interesting to contrast a Bart who wholly embraces his place in flashfam, who values the legacy and wants to uphold it, with a Jason that's estranged from batfam, who constantly questions his place with them, who *wants* to value the legacy but also fundamentally disagrees with it's principles

Also, they both have experience finding their place after time displacement, and they both often have their insight/opinions overlooked or ignored even when they're right!

Honestly, I don't really know. They just don't do it for me like that. I like them as shitty friends, and it's not like I mind seeing this ship around, I just... don't care.

What would have made you like it?

Well that's a hard one, uhhh..... I mean, I guess it would've been funny to see Reigen react to Dimple's humanoid form. I think a part of why the fandom's take on this ship usually doesn't do it for me is that they keep on involving that poor Security Guy from Claw, when Dimple has a Grotesque Humanoid Form right here.

So I guess what I'm saying is that I'd probably enjoy it more if people weren't cowards and actually leaned into the monsterfucking aspect of this ship /o\

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

I actually really enjoy their canon dynamic ! They have a grudging respect for each other, and they bonded over how much they each care (and refuse to admit they care) about Mob, and they just. Get each other.

And they're also really funny and sarcastic, and I always love me a good comedy duo.

The fuckingng. Kakashi Gaiden. Like, I've said this before and I'll say it again, Kishimoto might have messed up a lot of things, but he did Not fuck around with the Gaiden, and I don't know if I can ever recover from the symbolism of Kakashi completing his signature technique by absorbing Obito's eye into himself, the very same way he will end up absorbing Obito's personality in the future.

Just. God.

Also later in the manga, the absolute Drama of the reveal of Obito being Alive and Evil and Kakashi's breakdown at seeing the guy he's idolized his whole life standing in front of him and calling him trash...

Look, I'm not joking when I say this reveal got me back into Naruto, I had actually jumped ship when Haku was brought back to life, but then I heard the Tobi-Obito Theory actually turned out to have been officially confirmed and I just. I had to see for myself.

Basically, I'm in it for the unhealthy codependency and the angst.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

But uh, yeah, of course there's all I've already talked about, but also like. The physicality of their relationship ? Is incredible ? They literally share a pair of eye and can sometimes see from each other's point of view thanks to it.

The fight inside Kamui with the flashbacks to their old sparring was also just. When Obito grabs Kakashi's hand and uses it to complete the signs for his jutsu ? Gay As Fuck. I've never seen a more homoerotic fight scene, and I've read all of Naruto.

And of course emotionally they're a complete mess. You can't talk about the one without mentioning the other. They're barely their own person anymore, with how much they're mixed together, especially because Kakashi's way of coping with Obito's death was by just never allowing him to die.

But also Obito literally stalked him just 'cause, so y'know. They both have a part in becoming uh, to quote from NBC Hannibal, "blurred".

Dumbass gay ninjas can't live with the person they've become and so they try to lose themselves into an idealized past, failing horribly : the relationship.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I literally do not interact with the fandom, except when I post stuff for my AUs. And the last time I narutoposted was uhhhhhhh in 2020.

I guess one thing that was common back when I still looked at some of the fandom's postings was Rin either being outright hated and treated like a nuisance, or given a Badass Girl persona that didn't actually fit with her canon personality (which is Radical Anti-War Revolutionary Who Respects Human Life, btw), probably because a lot of folks felt like she was "in the way" of KKOB. Which is *checks notes* fucking stupid.

So anyway my unpopular opinion is that Rin loves her boys and supports them no matter what, and in any world KKOB get together and Rin is around, there's no way Rin doesn't remain the two's best friend the same way she's always been. She is a part of the deal. Not necessarily as part of an OT3, but always as part of the platonic codependent Mess that makes up these idiots.

...... bringing in a third character probably isn't what's supposed to happen in this question. But like I said, I barely know what's going on in the fandom these days, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't really know if any of my opinions are all that unpopular because I tend to gravitate to content with similar stances to mine on here so I can't really tell, but I think any unpopular opinions I might hold have more to do with the mcu being a soulless lukewarm meat grinder for a while now and the subpar writing that produced than they do with anything about the characters themselves. Like I think they took pretty much every single character in an unfortunate, shallow direction in TFATWS for example, despite the fact I love pretty much every single character in that show, so. *shrug* Is that anything? (Why is this one called ultimate XD) My favorite Christmas was the one where my siblings and I received bookmarks as gifts. My family was really poor that year and couldn't afford anything, so Mom had us pick out one ball each from her stash of very special Egyptian cotton thread. Then she crocheted us each bookmarks made of that thread, with a heart in the middle of them. (And the colors were beautiful btw, I got a very spring themed green/pink/etc one) She felt horrible that it was the best she could do but I still cherish my bookmark. Aside from that, that was also the year I started watching Gravity Falls with the fam. (I watched it in private with my sister beforehand so we were already way into it, lol.) A relative gifted us a dvd with some of the episodes on it, so Mom said to go ahead and put it on. The first episode was Double Dipper, which everyone loved. So we honestly had a blast :3 That was one of my favorite Christmases.

Yule - what's one wish you have for this holiday season?

I wish I could spend it with my boyfriend 👉👈 Don't know if we'll be able to but, that is my wish lol

Zeal - what is something you go all out for?

top 3 favorite characters: Frodo, Aragorn, and it’s a tie between Faramir, Sam, and Gollum (I love Gollum, ‘mkay?)

top 3 least favorite characters: Saruman, Grima, Denethor (we don’t count the obvious evil ones like Sauron & co.)

top 3 otps: Arwen/Aragorn, Eowyn/Faramir, and Aragorn/Eowyn (because I can multiship like a pro.)

top 3 notps: *scowls*, I’m a bit of a Tolkien purist, so while I’m all for anyone to ship whatever they want, personally Frodo/Sam, Legolas/Gimli, Aragorn/Faramir etc. make me shudder (I may have glimpsed the existence of those in various fic exchanges, brrr.) But whatever floats other people’s boats, I don’t judge.

Finally someone agree that the whole temporary hero things was a mistake from the beginning and they should have just keep the seven original miraculous holders and maybe Luka and kagami. but i guess my truly unpopular opinion is that i dislike the idea of anyone but adrien and marinette being superheroes. i really love the dynamic of the two lovers against the world, being the only people in the world in their position, the only ones to know the mysteries and magic behind the miraculous, etc... so i understand that they added more heroes as a way to keep the show fresh and appealing to uh presumably normal children who aren't hopeless romantics, but it's something that i hope doesn't get included in, say, an adult version of ml. it's just an aesthetic preference for me, really! putting that aside, another huge problem i have with the heroes is that they're pretty boring for the most part - they appear rarely, there aren't a lot of moments in which they have good chemistry, they barely feel like a team, and seem to never have ideas of their own. queen bee is the only one i could live with it because she was pretty dynamic, and i would've loved it if we had an arc where she actively tries to sabotage ladybug and chat noir to look better than them and become paris' favorite hero. would've been fun idk.

funnily enough, i was rewatching some s1 scenes today, and the ladynoir dynamic is top-tier in a way no other hero combo has been able to reach. the chemistry was absolutely insane. i miss it.

as for the rumor about marinette searching for lost kwamis... well, zag did indeed make an instagram post about it, so i'm wary that it could happen. i spoke about it in-depth here, but to put it in as few words as i can (it's still gonna be a lot lol), if that happens, it would be post-s5, since that's when the agreste/gabriel as hawk moth storyline would end. i'm also pretty sure that if they go that way, adrien wouldn't be in the show anymore - just my gut feeling. i'm personally tired of all the kwamis and the heroes and the miraculouses and so on, i don't find them entertaining, and i don't get how looking for lost miraculouses could be interesting? maybe marinette fights some villains along the way, yay. but to me that comes with a risk of ml being much less of a romance/slice-of-life show, and more of run-of-the-mill superhero show, which, again, not my thing. ngl, i'm convinced that it's gonna happen at some point because it would make me unhappy lol. but some more reasonable than me people have suggested that it might be for an special episode rather than a whole season (or seasons). we'll see!

First impression Well my first impression of him was when I walked onto my dad watching the show with no prior knowledge and going “tf is he watching now?” But yeah in essence he was a shiny figure on my dads TV screen that gave off lone wolf vibes and had some seriously angsty backstory with a forge  Impression now He has literally become my comfort character I love him so much hes so stupid jfgfskd

Prompto anon again. Sorry for clogging ur ask I just had enough of the slander. I too think xv is underrated and I enjoyed it immensely, even the flaws. And I like fanworks a lot, which is something xv got an abundance of 🙏. I'm in the slightly younger age gr than u and didn't really... grow up with any FF, so no nostalgia blinding me here. I am actually very interested in xiii so may be I'll check that 1st... Or maybe MGSV, seems up my alley.

It’s weird thinking about, but yeah, like... if you’re even just a few years younger than me, you could have easily missed most-to-all of that window from like 1993 to 2003 where Square/Square Enix made FFVI all the way to FFX-2, the original Kingdom Hearts, and like several other games. I know it takes more to make games nowadays, but 10 years for SE now is literally like one, maybe two big games, lol.

I also agree XV got so lucky getting all the fan content it has (and continues to get). I haven’t seen anything like it for FF since VII. I feel like there’s a lot of things that didn’t get explored in game that do get explored in fan content and that’s just *chef’s kiss*. Perfeito.

The other thing I find weird about certain people — esp. people who grew up with FF — is there’s this like... inherent need to play all the Final Fantasies and have some encyclopedic type knowledge about them when the reality is that, aside from some games that have spin-offs/sequels, they’re not connected in any major way and you can literally pick and choose which ones you want to play by what looks most interesting.

Like, for me personally? I probably just like a little less than half of the major FF games. I love probably less than 5 total. I have a lot of “unpopular” opinions about some of the fan favorites (and some of the hated ones lol). I am intensely disinterested in medieval high-fantasy type settings and will always favor games (especially FF’s) that try and do something unique with their world (VII’s Midgar/ShinRa controlling the world, XV’s modern kingdom/Insomnia) versus your standard knights and dragons and magic and evil dark lords type deal. (Which is why I’m disinterested in XVI as well tbh.) But that’s all just my personal preference — I have no problem with saying ‘I didn’t play this, it wasn’t appealing to me’ or ‘I tried it / didn’t like it because xyz’ and being done with it. I think that’s why I’ve also never had the urge to be an obnoxious cunt and constantly scream from the rooftops about how much I hate something. So. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

XIII/The Lightning Saga isn’t my favorite, but you might really enjoy it, especially if you like a more sci-fi fantasy setting. As for metal gear... I don’t recommend starting with MGSV, but if you do, just be sure to look up a “story so far” type video of you do. Lol. It’s a lot.

OOOH. Oh. Okay. Rapunzel is like, #1 in my heart since I saw her in the movie theatre for the first time ten years ago. I just adore her, but we are very much polar opposites in many ways. Belle is probably my second choice. I think I’m the most like her, and I love her whole bookworm aesthetic. It reminds me of myself very much. Favorite Thing About Them:  I like the fact that he’s “Technically” the first Ego on the Channel and we still don’t know that much about him! I love seeing all the different Head Canons, FanFics and FanArt featuring JBM. Some have him like Spiderman, other like Superman and then you have some who have him like Vigilante helping the city! I’m not sure what my Head Canon for him is yet, still working on that part.

Least Favorite Thing About Them:  We don’t know anything about him! He’s been on the Channel for a couple of Canon Videos and the Guest Appearance with the South Park: Fracture But Whole series.  And that’s literally the last time we’ve seen him! I know Sean said that he’s working the script for JBM, and unfortunately b/c of the Pandemic that he can’t do a lot yet. I’m equally waiting the video!

Favorite Line:  Hm, 🤔  I’m not sure on that one. I kinda like it when Jack gets into character without realizing it and goes, “I’m Jackieboy Man! Jackieboy Man!” Instead of saying Jackaboy. I love it! B/C it kinda makes you wondered if the Egos are in plain sight!

brOTP:  Oh, this one’s easy! Schneep and Jackie! I’ve read a lot of them being friends/brothers, friends to adopted brothers, found family. I just like this dynamic b/c here you have a superhero that can’t reveal his secret identity but trusts Schneep enough to let him take care of him. And Schneep never really feels threaten knowing that Jackie’s there to help him.

OTP:  Honestly, I don’t know on this one.  I’ve seen a lot people do Ego Shipping with Jackie and Marvin (cute couple btw). I’ve seen a lot people not ship Jackie with anyone.  And I’ve seen people ship Jackie with their OC’s or other Characters.  One’s actually Jackie and Dark! :) I kinda like that pairing to be honest. You don’t really see it that often. But I honestly don’t know on the OTP for Jackie.

He runs his own Private Investigation Office.  He takes cases anywhere from Cheating Spouses to the Paranormal.  He’s friends with a Crime Scene Investigator Isa Ghost, who knows the true identity of Jackieboy Man and uses her position to help keep some of the detectives off Jackie’s Case.

Unpopular Opinion:  Jackie can’t handle everything on his own but is too afraid to ask for help, b/c to him. If the Hero asks for help then it would look like Jackie isn’t the Superhero that Septic City needs. And it might make Jack his Creator think twice about having Jackie around.
