I used to live in Konstantinoupoli, my family had survived every genocide and pogrom until we had to flee after the 2016 coup attempt. Our house was in our family for many generations. Once when i was a kid, i layed under the coffee table and found my mom and her siblings names written there, so i added mine, and so did my siblings.
There is a new priest in our local greek church, and he found my great great grandfathers journal stored somewhere there (it dates 1912-1923), after reading it the priest decided that he wants to return it to my family, in the journal, the priest found the adress and visited the home to find the turkish family that now lived there. The family told them how long they live here, how the came to acquire the house, and that they know that a greek family lived there before them because their son had found greek letters under the table. The priest asked to take a look at them, and saw the names and matched some of them with the ones in the journals ( we are lucky we pass on our first names religiously in the family).
The church the priest belings to, that we once belinged to too, is right next to a synagogue (the place i grew up was amazing all the religious buildings are in one block, so we the jews and the armenians were extremly tight, as the 'others'). The priest spoke to the rabbi about this, and the rabbi from our home and first names remembered the surname the family survives as today and the city we had said we will move in.
Despite us not being pontiacs, the priest talks with our local pontiac community group, hoping that they will help fellow anatolians, and gives the info he has gathered about us. And they found us indeed! We came into contact with the priest that told this whole tail to our grandma, she now has her grandfathers journal where he talks about how he and his family managed to survive the genocide and stay in their land.
All my family cant shut up about it. Its been an emotional month for us since we started reading the journal and how it came to our possetion again. My grandma said somehow still managed to scold her middle aged children plus us for ruining 'her table'.
Not sure why i tell this, sorry for the long text, i just wanted to keep sharing this story with people, here in mainland there seems to be the idea that all modern anatolians are only distantly related to the refugees, but our community is still very alive and kicking, and pulling this kind of bullshit to keep surviving our legacies.
That's such a great story! 😭 It made my whole night when I read it, having at least one house my refugee family never returned to. It sounds like a fairlytale - for the positive things, like the family names written on the table, how people tried to find you because of this this little thing, and different communities interacting so that you get this journal!
No matter where we are, we are thriving! Our families have survived so much and we are living proof of their endurance! I'm so happy for you, guys!
(Of couuuurse the yaya scolding was inevitable 😂)

The Rosho Special☆ Cream of the Crop Curry: Hypmic Curry Drama Track TL
Sasara: Oh, you’ve really been cookin’!
Rei: That curry smell is really making me hungry!
Rosho: It’s a miracle I was able to even decipher what you meant in that text! Why am I the only one working on this??
Sasara: Don’t sweat the small stuff! Have you finished making our super interesting curry yet?
Rosho: I did my best to follow your recipe but…
Rei: Hm? You didn’t make a normal curry?
Sasara: Tut tut tut! You see, this curry was made with some special ingredients!
Rei: It looks brown like any other curry, so I can’t tell the difference.
Sasara: I’ll give you a hint! I was thinking of calling it, "This Curry's Got You Gigged!!" Setting off any bells??
Rei: You can’t be thing about… Actually, no, that hint was so stupid, I got nothing for you.
Sasara: Hey now!!
Rosho: I used flounder in the curry, but if you can’t tell that at a glance, that’s gotta mean your joke’s fallen flat, right?
Rei: The curry’s meant sell, so it should have a little more impact.
Sasara: I guess you’re right… It’s gotta be appealing televised too…
Rosho: Let’s take a moment to brainstorm.
-----------
Sasara: *pops a cold one open* Man, nothing’s coming to mind at all…!
Rei: The theme you had settled on was, “A Bizarre Brown Curry,” right?
Rosho: We shouldn’t even try to be teeming with themes! It’s all about the flavours!!
Sasara: “Okra-zy Curry” doesn’t sound too bad!
Rosho: Okra me a river!!
Rei: How about “Kelp!! Addicted to Seaweed Curry”?
Rosho: Oh, now you’re just sailing on his coattails!
Sasasa: “Ya Kraken Me Up Squid Curry”!!
Rosho: Quit it with the seafood puns!! Geez, you’re not even trying to solve the root of the problem.
Sasara: Nyahaha…! No, yeah, you’re right.
Rei: But curry’s just curry, isn’t it? How can you even get someone to give a laugh at it at just a glance?
Rosho: How many times do I gotta say, that’s why we’re sittin’ around thinkin’ about it!!
Sasara: I think the alcohol’s getting to us~ Let’s get some food down, so we can sober up.
Rei: I agree. I’d like one order of flounder curry with rice!
Rosho: You takin’ my home as an izakaya?? Serve your own curry!!
Sasara: Phew whee, Mista Rosho here sure is stingy!
Rei: Well, sounds like I got no other choice.
---------------
Rei: Hey, so this is getting annoying to handle, you mind if I use this whole pot?
Sasara: Rosho, whatcha want me to do with this bag?
Rosho: Shut up, the both of you!! For now, just bring everything to me.
Rei: And there. Rice is served~
Sasara: And here’s a bit of the curry to top it off!
Rosho: Oh yeah, we’re using this too!
Sasara: “A White Stew for Rice”? You brought out some boil in bag goods you had bagged up?
Rosho: A student of mine gave it to me as a souvenir from a Hokkaido trip. It apparently has some Hokkaido specialties in it.
Rei: Their milk is incredibly tasty. And so… *pours it in*
Rosho: Hey!!!! What the heck are you doing??
Rei: This is my specialty, “Stew On This Rice”!
Rosho: The bag wasn’t even boiled yet… I guess I’ll stick it in the microwave.
Sasara: Wait a sec!
Rosho: What are you making that serious face for?
Sasara: If it’s cream… How does “Cream Of The Crop Curry” sound??
Rei: Ohhh, we are aiming for something eye-catching but… Wait, actually, this might work.
Rosho: It’s more of a stew though…
Sasara: Let’s have a taste test first!
*microwave dings*
DH: *eats*
Sasara: Woah??? This creamy stew and rice pair together so well!!
Rei: And this white colour gives it quite the impact.
Sasara: This is it! This is the curry that’s going to carry Dotsuitare Hompo to victory!
Rosho: But this isn’t curry?? What do you mean we’re going to use a stew??
Rei: Why’re you fussing? All we have to do is say we made a white curry.
Rosho: Then how do you explain how we made it??
Rei: White curry does exist, you know. There are spices for it and everything. Curry connoisseurs would be familiar with it.
Sasara: Is that so?? Well, there you have it, Rosho! I’ll let you figure out what those spices are!
Rosho: No, you won’t!! Shouldn’t we all be trying to figure this out??
Rei: Ahaha! I believe you’ll figure it out somehow.
Sasara: Alright! “The Rosho Special☆ Cream of The Crop Curry” is definitely going to take us to the top!!

✦•····································•✦•····································•✦
PERSONALITY: She has a bad case of cute aggression!
Kurumi has an energetic and outgoing nature that makes it easy for her to make friends and connections. A very prominent obsession that she has is with all things that are cute, broadly ranging from fashion to adorable trinkets. Yes, even cute people are included too.
Despite her carefree demeanor, Kurumi can be surprisingly mature and reflective, often acting as a mediator when there are serious conflicts in her Family and being observant of its overall condition. When someone outside the Family starts becoming too close, she seems to start distancing herself.
SPECIALTY: She has dangerous superhuman strength, please use caution when hugging!
Kurumi inherited an extraordinary muscle constitution that grants her immense strength, enough to effortlessly handle a greatsword that's almost her size. If she is not careful in controlling her strength, she might end up breaking some bones if she gets carried away while hugging a normal person. This inherent characteristic of hers plus her martial arts are a deadly combination.
DAILY LIFE: Despite certain difficulties, she wants to become someone who can live true to herself.
At her new school, there are always various troubles and problems brewing around (may or may not be partly caused by her or her besties), but she always tries her best to help out her friends with a smile! After everything is settled, a nice trip to the shopping district with Kyoko and Haru wipes any remaining exhaustion off. Maybe they could even visit a cafe right after!
RELATIONSHIPS: A new school comes with new friendships!
Reborn: A cute and strong baby! He can be scary sometimes, though.
Tsuna: A cute future mafia boss! My first friend in Namimori too! Don't worry, I'll help you with Kyoko-chan!
Kyoko: She's such a cute girl! I hope we can spend more time together.
Haru: Another cute girl! She even asked me to do a cosplay collaboration project together!
Lambo: Another cute baby! He's just like a little brother to me. I'll take care of you, Lambo-chan!
I-pin: Such a nice cute little baby! Even Yui is fond of her. I'll take care of you too, I-pin-chan!
Bianchi: She's cute, but more than that, she's very cool too! But...You got it wrong Nee-san, my cooking isn't supposed to be poison cooking ueee 🥲
✦•····································•✦•····································•✦
If you read up to this point, then thank you so much for taking the time to do so! For these character profiles, I'll try to follow the style of the Vongola 77 profiles so that I can have a format to follow and stop myself from going too overboard haha. All information above (and in the wiki right now) only captures her character around the beginning of Daily Life Arc.
Any questions about her or the story is very much appreciated! (Please, the amount of serotonin boost is insane when I get OC asks! Yuipachi-sensei will answer it for you too hehe - I'm IP with an ask rn too ^o^)
When I finish Kana's character sheet, thinking of doing a second batch of outfit sheets for the twins with their non-school uniform outfits. Maybe their "mission" outfit and one set of casual clothes for each of them.
For credits, all Oniyanagi OCs are by me and @amiahoshi! While for the intro audio, Kurumi is voiced by erushaVA and I also got the background music here from MusMus!
Note: I finally un-privated the Oniyanagi wiki. Whenever I'm inactive/on hiatus, this place is my hideout to recharge. Kind of like the "Do it for her" meme, except I'm staring at my OC's page and gallery. Anyway, you'll see me hanging around there when I'm not in socmed, unless IRL reaaalllly decides to suck A LOT lmaoo
