a few of my own little favorites sekiro headcanons i've made throughout these years playing:
- dogen gave the "orangutan" nickname to sekijo and emma kept calling him this way her whole life
- gyoubu gifted genichiro a horse in one of his birthday, alas horse riding wasn't his favorite hobby
- besides being a doctor, emma also treats animals and they are somewhat easier to treat than humans
- wolf likes to fish and i won't elaborate
- emma has burns across her body caused by sekijo when he lost control, after that, dogen took her
- wolf also gets affected by the dragonrot but in a different way: white marks, like the one he has in his face, start to appear across his body, once the dragonrot is healed, they are gone
- the "ashina herb catalogue" belonged to dogen, he was the one who started cataloguing flowers and herbs, eventually he gave it to emma so she could keep with his work
- emma is good at drawings (which helps with the compendium), she'd draw genichiro for he anatomy studies, she's also really good with numbers
- wolf scares horses and cats, they all be hissing and huffling at him, but he is good with animals, he used to chase stray cats to learn stealth when he was a kid
- wolf's scarf came from his mother, but he can't remember that, the smell of it was familiar in the beginning but it disappeared while he grew
- kuro writes poems and is really good at it, he wrote for wolf once but got ashamed to show him, he also loves astronomy and looking at the stars
- lady butterfly taught wolf how to read

Wondrous Fics
Hey everyone!! I haven’t been reading or writing at all much recently and I’ve had the urge to start reading again because I love seeing amazing stories written out and seeing the love and effort that creators put into their works.

As a Huffle, I can confirm I usually get alone best with Slytherins.

2017 Shout out post!
I can not emphasis enough how insane 2017 has been. This was the year I made my account and if I had never done that I wouldn't have met the amazing people that I now know! Moffat Era Retwatch: The Return of Doctor Mysterio
The Doctor teams up with a superhero to save New York...
Warning: Spoilers Sweetie
Of all the Christmas specials Moffat has written this is definitely my least favourite. I rank it even lower than ‘The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe’, which is bad, but at least has a few moments I utterly adore. This one has no such moments. There barely anything memorable about this story at all.
“Superman and Clark Kent are one and the same person.” He’s proud of himself for working that out.
I would’ve enjoyed this more if it was just an hour of Twelve commenting on comic book heroes.
“I'm the main one. The original. I started it. They're all based on me. Now everyone who wants to sound clever calls themselves Doctor. Bandwagon!”
“Well, there's been a lot of localised disruption here in New York, so, er, my fault, actually. Hopefully this will make it all calm down.” Nice of Moffat to explain how this one can be set in New York, the spiritual home of superheroes, when the Doctor isn’t supposed to be able to go to New York.
“You can't go round swallowing things. What age are you, 36?” Twelve is still having trouble with the ages.
“Any questions after today can be handled by Miss Shuster or Miss Siegel.” Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel were the creators of Superman.
“It's okay. I'm an intruder too. Yeah, I brought snacks. Mark of a pro. Keep listening.”
“Special Agent Dan Dangerous from Scotland Yard, Scotland. The Doctor for short.”
As well as being a dull character, the Ghost is a pretty naff looking hero.
"Though I find the political bias in your paper's editorial not entirely to my taste.” I bet she works for a Murdoch paper.
“With great power comes great responsibility. No man worthy of the title leaves a baby alone.”
“This is Mister Huffle. Mister Huffle feels pain.”
Is he calling her from his own phone? Wouldn’t she have his number saved?
24 years *shipper sadness*
“Good to keep an open mind. Ha!” Twelve loves his dad jokes.
“There have been many attempts to conquer the Earth. I've lost count. Not one of them has succeeded. Not a single one. They all lost and burned and ran. That's who I am.”
“Yes, I created a distraction. I flooded downstairs with Pokémon.”
Grant and Lucy are an obvious homage to Lois and Clark, but Moffat doesn’t do much with them that we haven’t seen a hundred times before.
“A few hours later, every politician and commander-in-chief will have a zip in their head. An alien sitting inside their skull. In one day of terror, the executive authority of Planet Earth will pass to Harmony Shoal. It's a good plan. I like it. How come our side never gets plans like that?"
Bad guy tells you now is not the time to blow up New York so you blow it up sooner.
“I know you miss her, but couldn't you just write a poem?”
The bad guys are defeated so easily here I honestly feel that Moffat just could not be arsed with this at all.
“Things end. That's all. Everything ends, and it's always sad. But everything begins again too, and that's always happy. Be happy. I'll look after everything else.”
“Her name was River Song. They were together for a while and they were very happy. And then she died, a long time ago, in a library.”

Right so I’m finally about to watch “The Return of Doctor Mysterio” so I figured I might as well liveblog the process
* oh my god Basil I love you but what the fuck are you doing
* the kid’s name is Grant and I’m having a hard time believing it’s not because the Moff’s son Louis watches “The Flash”
* the milk and cookies and the kid thinking Basil’s Santa is real cute (like seriously the warm ‘ho ho ho’ chuckle and oh my god Doctor you nearly fell 60 stories off a building but ur still all nonchalant and eating the cookie like what a legend amirite?)
* okay all of Basil’s interactions with kid!Grant so far are giving me all the “dad skills” feels and I don’t know whether to squee or cry
* omg all right I already knew about the part with him trying to fix the time distortions in New York but like it’s still making me emotional?? (I’m sorry but like the memory wipe has made it so Rory and Amy are the last companions he remembers having and it’s hurting me personally he’s trying to make it right aaaaahhh)
* okay the episode’s pretty cheesy but it’s also lighthearted and fun and honestly I’m sad Capaldi’s leaving so soon now because he deserves a whole series of fun episodes like this that aren’t being weighed down with angst (fingers crossed that the stuff with Bill in series 10 delivers)
* and snacking-at-inappropriate-times Basil makes the scene!
* the man with the lizard eyes has literal blue Gatorade snot dripping out of his nose...okay
* also ‘tap the glass’ is the new ‘pull my finger’ apparently
* ‘brains with minds of their own no one will believe that this is America’
* he called himself Dan Dangerous and I live (ur still Basil to me tho mate)
* love how not-Batman sweeps Lucy off her feet and leaves Basil and Nardole to fend for themselves (okay fine since it’s Grant and he knows the Doctor, he probably knows they’ll be okay but still)
* BASIL. WITH. A. BABY. KILL ME NOW
* ‘I have x-ray eyes I like everyone’ I mean it’s not him explicitly saying he’s bi, but I’ll take it
* idk why I love it so much but Basil sitting on a fire escape sipping a soda is my aesthetic
* I’m just gonna throw it out there that Lucy would make a good companion...or at least it’d be cool if the Doctor kept her as a contact for when alien bullshit is going down in NY
* oh that face though...trust me Basil I’m right there with you (re: Lucy’s inability to put two and two together about Grant/not-Batman)
* wow I’m actually getting Ladynoir feels from these two (does the Moff’s kid watch Miraculous Ladybug too??)
* oh there it is...hit me like a ton of bricks...24 YEARS *sobs*
* ‘I’m always okay’ SHUT THE FUCK UP BASIL YOU KNOW U MISS YOUR RIVAH T_T
* he’s staring at Mr. Huffle like pain is his middle name, in fact it is, his full name is Dr. Basil Pain Disco Funkenstein
* hands the villain a sandwich and follows up with a trademark badass boast...ah I missed this Doctor
* Nardole piloting the TARDIS...and River was definitely the one who taught him how (don’t worry I’m totally okay...y’know it’s not like this episode’s River references aren’t simultaneously giving me life and killing me slowly...not at all...hahaha...*sobs*)
* ‘you were worried you’d be lonely and we both know why’ KILL ME NOW I’M DEAD
* sassmaster Nardole there...yeah you know what I’d keep him too if I was missing River
* those ‘surgeons’ are dressed more like butchers if you ask me...wonder if it was intentional
* 12′s theme in the background + ‘I know you miss her but couldn’t you just write a poem’ has me tearing up twofold
* okay but seriously being without River makes him reckless my heart is breaking Basil you besotted fucking maniac
* ‘Jennifer’s still downstairs!’ well guess who’s her new babysitter Basil?
* the Doctor being all dadly towards the baby...I’m sure that did great things for everyone’s timebaby headcanons
* oh shit the UNIT soldier’s been overtaken by one of the Harmony Shoal-ers...they’re gonna infiltrate UNIT now aren’t they? (U BETTER RESOLVE THIS IN S10 MOFF)
* okay I have been personally victimized by that ending ‘HER NAME WAS RIVER SONG’ *screams*
Okay that’s it, I have had my heart thoroughly destroyed, but now I’m caught up and ready for Series 10 and Bill.
