Ok. I'm going to need to wait for the next episode to truly decide how I feel about this, but right now I'm like, pretty pissed off at Hunter and Wrecker?
You'd go to the ends of the galaxy for your sister, spend the rest of your lives searching for her, stop at nothing to get her back...yet when she returns with your long-lost brother you look at him like this?
Look, you've been on thin fucking ice since he told you he'd had his chip removed and you just believed him. The guy that you know had a mind-control chip in his brain. The effects of which you've seen and felt and know for a fact are impossible to resist. And you just believed that the people who put it in him in the first place voluntarily took it out? No follow up questions? No doubt?
How little did you care about Crosshair to begin with that you'd so readily accept that he was of sound mind and acting of his own autonomy?
Just for fun, let's review what you know about Crosshair right now:
His chip activated. He was forced to say, think, and do horrific things; and these things were outside of his control.
Those horrific things included trying to kill you. He's shot at you multiple times. He's an unparalleled marksman. He's always missed.
You left him behind on Kamino. It was the right choice at the time. He was literally trying to kill you, you didn't know why, and you couldn't have safely extracted him. But he still got left behind.
He has expressed how painful this was for him every time you've interacted since ("we didn't have a choice" "and I did?" | "They don't leave their own behind...most of the time").
He also said some really mean things to you.
He was horribly injured while under the Empire's control.
He rescued Omega from drowning.
He maybe had his chip removed? No need to confirm, I guess.
You left him behind on Kamino. Again. But he asked for it this time, and he said he knew what he was doing, so...
He became a prisoner of the Empire. In the facility that houses dissenting, disloyal clones.
He managed to get a message out to you while imprisoned. That message wasn't a cry for help, but a warning. Go to ground. They're after Omega. Protect yourselves.
Omega just told you he helped her escape the Empire.
AND, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, YOU LOOK AT HIM LIKE THIS?!
I'd say I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed...except actually nah I'm pretty mad.
Episode 5 is going to have to do some serious work to salvage my opinion of these two. Or at the very least stop framing them as the moral centre of the show.

If Willow ever gets into Princess Luz AU, Hunter and Luz will just shake hands on Yes, She's Amazing.
i truly DO want willow to participate in this AU at some point, i just need to find a way to introduce her that does her justice and gives her a decent role in the story. there were some shitposts earlier about luz bringing willow in as part of her grimwalker research, but the timeline's moved past that now...
my absolute Favorite thing about willow in this AU is that obviously she and amity never buried the hatchet. so there is a LOT of remaining anger on willow's part. & a lot of remaining guilt/shame/embarrassment/anxiety/defensiveness/etc on amity's.
which means. that. even before getting to know willow for, like, all of the incredible willow traits that luz and hunter both love in canon.....
hunter's first impression of her. is just.
oMG. ANOTHER SWORN ENEMY OF AMITY BLIGHT. WILLOW I KNOW LITERALLY NOTHING ABOUT YOU BUT YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND NOW. COMRADE IN ARMS PLEASEEEEE COME TO THE LIBRARY AND BITCH WITH ME OMGGGG TELL ME EVERY SHITTY THING SHE'S EVER DONE I LOV E YOU. THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE,

Djura is still OBJECTIVELY the best Bloodborne character for me tbh. Like, removing simping for Micolash, removing my deep personal attachment to Rom and Edgar the way I made them, removing how me and Gehrman are basically besties now
Djura makes an actually good point - there is no reason to hunt the beasts when they won't harm anyone unless approached. Seeing how beasthood is essentially falling for men's darkest side of nature and crossing no return point, it is darker than 'beasts are innocent and he is a wholesome beasts dad', but? He basically says that if the harm they might cause is prevented - it is OVER and pointless comeuppance will give nothing. Like, some people like Valtr or Alfred would go 'b-but if they are so bad they don't deserve to live, if you protect the (now harmless) beasts then YOU are the beast!' like bitch, shut the fuck up and think of something besides the hunt just once! Not your business! Let them be.
He also respects your OWN autonomy - if you sneak to him without alerting him, he tries to reason with you instead of attacking, and if you agree to mind your own business - he gives you a badge for extra weapons from Dream he knows exists and blesses you to go hunt. Something he no longer wants to do or approves of, but he recognizes that there are still dangerous beasts outside of Old Yharnam that people NEED protection from, besides there is no need to force his lifestyle on someone else - as long as direct conflict of interests can be avoided, everyone should mind their own business. If everyone acts like Djura - society will cease to exist, but society needs someONE to take Djura's role. He is like... the respect for autonomy and neutrality I value very highly and aspire for, manifested in one character. What an absolute CHAD. Absurd how items narrative calls him foolish when he is one of the most reasonable people in the setting.
Besides Powder Kegs burned Old Yharnam, so he committed quite a character arc. Instead of wallowing or keeping up the hunt because it is 'too late' to change anything, he just changed his course of actions to a better one. It is never too late to do better! He also doesn't tell us a sob story about how he used to be a goddamn menace like us in the past - that old version of Djura is no more! No need to dwell! And he is still in a great shape when so many equally long lived and experienced hunters like Valtr, Eileen, Gascoigne and Henryk fall apart before player's eyes.

Since you asked me for Laurence hcs, what are YOUR hcs for him 👀
Laurence T. First Vicar compulsively washes his hands! He has a consistent underlining fear of contamination and probably some deep guilt or something idk.
He has a Calico cat that happens to be male and he will not shut up about how cool it is that his cat is intersex- his name is Frére.
Also, he's trans? he is trans he is transgender. The Healing Church provides free trans healthcare and he fist-fought the blood ministers to make that policy.
He's also pretty adept at fighting (mostly other people). He keeps poison knives in his sleeves just in case someone tries to assassinate him again. A lot of people underestimate how strong he is cus of his height and the public presentation of his role as a "caretaker" but he used to be able to hold his own against a lot of his hunters and he doesn't take kindly to that assumption.
Has killed, will kill again.
