This is the devastating reality in gaza.
Even if children don't lose their lives during the bombing, they lose their limbs, their loved ones. You know how many kids who lost their legs loved playing football? How many loved to run and walk and ride a bike? How many lost their arms who can no longer feel it, no longer wear a bracelet around their wrist? There are kids who lost their eyesight due to the bombing And getting crushed under the rubble. Keep demanding a ceasefire, this should not still be happening. 44th day.

Not to be a guy who asks "are the zionists okay" but I scrolled through the blog of one who I used to know in irl and he's??? Reblogging from troll accounts that are disguising fucking blood libel as pro-Zionist between actual legitimate Zionist posts completely uncritically?????
Honestly anon? No I don't think that they are okay. The longer this drags on and the more that the images and videos from out of Gaza (or the West Bank for that matter) run completely counter to the U.S./Israeli propaganda narrative, the greater the cognitive dissonance that is necessary to claim the usual liberal Zionist talking points like "Israel is only acting in self-defense" (then why have they killed hundreds in the West Bank where Hamas is not in power), that "things would be better if the Palestinians just embraced non-violence" (they have on multiple occasions, the Israelis keep fucking killing them), or how the "IDF is the most moral army in the world" (then why is there mass looting of Palestinian homes by IDF soldiers). The collapse of these narratives has been so swift and so complete with every new things we learn about what happened on October 7th and afterwards that I think it's really short-circuited a few people's brains. There's been the revelation that many civilian deaths were the result of IDF following orders to institute the Hannibal directive, the forty beheaded babies story being a lie dreamt up by a fanatic, to the collapse of the NYT story on mass rapes (turns out the lead journalist was former Israeli intelligence), the story that Al-Shifa Hospital was some sort of terrorist base, and the lie which has had the most consequence: that UNRWA workers were directly involved in Oct. 7th the evidence for which is so flimsy as to be laughable if the consequences hadn't been so dire.
The speed at which these narratives have collapsed and how quickly Israel has run through any goodwill following Oct. 7th is honestly astounding. It took the Americans around two years give-or-take following 9/11 to exhaust the world's goodwill, Israel managed to speed-run this in less than two months. When boomer left-libs like my parents are starting to say things like "I don't know what's wrong with the Israelis" that's a new thing. I'm a little older than many of my followers so I remember things like the 2006 Lebanon War and watching it thinking "this seems excessive, what aren't they telling us?" It took years before the existence of the Dahiya Doctrine became known. And the images from Operation Cast Lead in 2008 (the conflict which was impetus for me to really dig into researching the conflict) weren't coming this fast or this graphic. This has got to do numbers on your psyche if you're a typically "progressive" person but also supporting the Israeli cause. It's like that Eli Valley cartoon riffing on the Incredible Hulk. I think the way some of them are coping is by telling bigger and bigger lies, becoming more extreme, retreating into more closed off bubbles. It's fear, fear of being wrong.
If you ever want to read some truly delusional posts I recommend checking out the "jumblr" tag (there are also some very brave and very intelligent anti-Zionist Jews also posting in that tag who have my admiration and respect for fighting the good fight, I've followed several of them in the past weeks) where you can find Zionists making such convincing arguments as "what Israel is doing to the Palestinians isn't genocide because a genocide requires intent and incitement, and Israel hasn't expressed intent, besides the word genocide has lost all meaning anyway because of leftist anti-Semitism, it's really more like ethnic cleansing which can be voluntary". An assertion contradicted by the words and actions of Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant, senior Israeli military officials, members of the Knesset including the deputy speaker, Minister for National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, an open Kahanist, the Hebrew language media, Israeli civilians, Israeli artists, active duty personnel in the IDF, Mossad run Telegram channels, President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They also like bringing up the existence of Arab Israeli citizens "oh they have equal rights!" (an easily disprovable claim) as a shield against the charge of genocide. It gets ugly too, I came across a post the other day of some American Zionist claiming that Hind Rajab could not possibly have been killed by the IDF because there would be no benefit in it to them, she must have been killed by Hamas who then blamed it on the IDF.
And because it's Tumblr it's all so frequently delivered in either that cutesy and twee cry bully tone of "oooh but I'm just a small little guy =uwu= and everyone is being mean to me!" or in the voice of the condescending gifted child "I am much smarter than you and this is why". It's frequently paired with a picrew avatar and queer identity flag. A few of them have "leftist" or "BLM" or "antifa" in their bio without a whiff of self awareness (no guesses as to the political ideology undergirding one of the groups from which the ruling Likud party claims descent). I'm not as hostile to identity politics as some leftists are, I think they can be a valuable tool to agitate for the needs of specific groups, but I can't help but see it as a damning indictment of the shallowness of the sort of "progressive" identity politics popular on here. It was developing a politics rooted in material analysis that lead me into criticism of Israel and if you don't have that, well, shallow identity politics aren't going to save you from being on the wrong side of history.

Things I like about Tumblr, 2022
first off, Tumblr isn't perfect, it's full of people, and people in general and on-line can be pretty crap, but in a rare move for me I'm looking at the good.
you are not expected to post under your own name/face. In fact people would think you were pretty freaking weird if you did. To the Best of my knowledge only one person posts under their own name with their face as a profile pic, Hi Neil Gaiman! If we keep this up Tumblr will not become a semi-work space like twitter
No one knows your follower count (and honestly you shouldn't know it either) The level of brain rot I see on twitter around having a big follower count is so embarrassing, "help me get to X million!" is so very cringe, much like blue checks its a meaningless thing and we're all better off not knowing who's "popular" there are popular posts not people.
I have a very popular post about the long term nature of Tumblr so I won't go too much into it other than to say that it's nice that we can have long term jokes and memes on here, because we're able to reblog things from the past without any shame and judgement and so a culture and in jokes and yearly (or weekly) events happen here in a way I don't see on more "now! now! now!" social media.
You can do whatever, linking to #1 because we're not a semi-professional webpage where people are selling their "brand" etc there's little to no pressure (outside of yourself) to stay on topic or theme, you can and should reblog that gif set of a funny show from 10 years ago, that moody art shot of a field before a storm, and that short video of puppies falling over, wild out.
You decide if people see your likes. How many times did people get busted for having porn in their Twitter likes, where here no one can judge you, again we're not a work space so if you like that picture of a man in jock strap, go for it reblog that shit, but if you're shy don't worry you can enjoy what you enjoy without having to share with the class.
We hate crypto, we hate NFT, we always have we always will and thats very sexy of us
you can (still) say what you like. The need to make platforms safe for advisors and influencers has lead to "unalive" and other ways to try to get around using bad words. On Tumblr I can say that Elon Musk sucks a whole bucket of monkey shit and I hope he's pushed down the stairs at Twitter HQ.
Tags my beloved, tags are funny, lovely cool little notes, a way to add a joke, say something heart felt etc without worrying "is this needed?" and guess what if the answer was "yes it was" someone will screen shot them and add them to the post for you, win win.
Long form thought, I know this is a semi-jokey list but like no joking I think having all our politicians, journalists and "thought leaders" spending all day on and mainly communicating through a webpage with a very small character limit was/is very bad for our society. Tumblr (as you can see) you can write an essay (I don't think those people should come here, but I never run out of characters)
there's nowhere better for formatting gifs or picture sets, I honestly can't imagine trying to post a series of gifs or pictures on Insta or Twitter and having them all folded up rather than laid out in order all visible at once (and not cropped down, well most of the time)
There's no algorithm, everyone says it but it needs to be on the list, there's no real hand holding pushing you to this or that, there's nothing boosting or hiding your post, you pick what you like and follow it, and then those blogs do something weird and different and thats chill and you keep on.
we're the gay trans sex website, pretty much no where else on-line can you find this much dumb, non sequitur queer humor or as supportive of the trans experience, yes there are TERFs but they are more fringe here than basically any where else.
we just don't matter, back to #1 we are not a place where you can market yourself or your brand or whatever, as such things are just not that serious, this is a social media website made for fun, to enjoy TV, books, and movies mainly but really whatever you do enjoy.
negative I'd like to address before I go, the on-going porn ban, I'm not in favor of porn itself on here, I don't think we need gif sets of studio porn or whatever. But once Tumblr was a safe space for a lot of queer performers to spread their self made work. It also was a safe space for Queer art, both photographic and drawn, to express sensuality and sexuality. And a safe space for Queer artists to draw art of characters totally fucking the shit out of each other. It was a place where enjoyment of the human form and sexuality could be mixed with all the other parts of life as normal. There were for sure problems, however in an ever more censored and sex negative world I think a freed Tumblr is more needed than ever, so I hope we figure that out soon.

Heyo! I'm a Croatian NT supporter. I'm queer and I love football so much. I always said that I would watch the national team of the first out queer international player.
Wich happens to be Czech Republic as of this week. No joke I nearly cried when I watched Jakub's coming out video, I am so happy for him, even tho my only memory of him is me yelling at his team 2 years ago.
Him coming out means that I'm gonna support Czech Republic besides my Croats. I have followed your blog for a while on my main and I remember during Euros 2 years ago, that you post alot about Czech NT.
Now I don't know anything about the Czech NT. So I was hoping if you could teach me a bit about the NT, so I don't go in blindly next month lol.
I could research myself but i know that supporters know more about their team than the internet! So here we are. I'm humbly asking your help on the Czech NT.
I'm a bit scared to ask with my normal account so this is a burner acc.
-a queer football fan
Hi! First of all, I loved the Croatian NT from 2018, and I still have a soft spot for them now. I'm happy to explain a bit of stuff about the Czech NT. And most of all I'm happy for Jakub, and honestly, the response has so far been overwhelmingly positive from the fans, which is great.
One thing that is not talked about (but should be mentioned) is that like two weeks ago, one Czech journalist (Luděk Mádl) made a tweet saying "a Czech footballer is planning to do a public coming out"
He didn't say the name, but people in the comments started speculating, and it turned into a convo of "I have a friend who has a friend who knows a cleaning lady who knows the kitman and he said that the lads in Sparta's dressing room say it's Jankto". Of course, it wasn't confirmed, but still... A lot of people criticized the journalist for posting the tweet and starting this whole conversation when IT WAS NONE OF HIS FUCKING BUSINESS before the player announces it himself, so he deleted the tweet and apologized. Anyway, Jankto came out this week, in a very nice manner I would say. Now everyone is kinda curious whether he will assume the role of a role model, and speak about his decision to come out etc., or whether he will just keep doing quietly his job. We will see.
The current NT is very likable. In the past, we had some shitty coaches, and some shitty (behavior/character-wise) players, or just not very memorable ones, being carried by Petr Čech and Tomáš Rosický (when he wasn’t injured lol). And our previous teams also had some scandals, like drunk driving and prostitutes at hotels etc… This all seems to be a thing of the past, and the current team (including the manager) carries itself with a lot more dignity. The last shitheads left seemed to be Krmenčík (diver) and Kúdela (if you remember the whole Kúdela-Kamara incident from two years ago, where Kúdela allegedly racially abused Kamara during a match between Slavia Prague and Rangers. It’s not my place to speculate whether he did or did not, but Kúdela later mocked the whole situation, so it’s obvious he didn’t understand why it was a big deal. Yeah I don’t like him.) They are both now playing in Indonesia so hopefully they’re not getting a callup again. The rest of the team seems to be likable.
The coach, Jaroslav Šilhavý. He comes across as a gentleman, a really good guy, well-spoken, calm, collected, and approachable. Kind of nice dad vibes. He said a couple days back that sometimes the players are shocked when he uses vulgar language because he just seems like such a nice person who would never say “fuck” or anything. He seems to be reasonable, maybe too conservative in football tactics, but really a good person overall, polite, and fair.
The most known players are probably Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal, and they both represent well what we love seeing in NT players. Hard-working, passionate about football, no celebrity bullshit. Souček is the captain, and probably leads better by example and stamina than by motivational speeches, but I am happy to see him as a captain. Sometimes people say he’s kind of “simple” (he does speak in a way that gives the impression XD), but I think it’s true in the sense that he really just genuinely loves running and kicking a ball and that’s all he wants to do. He’s literally a cinnamon roll.
Coufal is the no-nonsense soldier, who “dies on the pitch for the team” (as he himself says). I admire him a lot, he worked hard, he got to the Prem from the thirddivision of the Czech league (where he was getting “paid” in beer and sausages). And the best thing is, he is no stupid "red card collector" or "just a fighter". He can look like that on the pitch, but off it, he comes across as an intelligent family man. He really embodies the heart and spirit.
Tumblr media
Now onto the star. Patrik Schick, he really shined at the Euros, and then last year in Bundesliga. He’s kind of the poster boy, very handsome as well (and his sister is a model; I think he was kinda considering that career as well?). I was pleasantly surprised when I listened to an interview with him that he’s very grounded, down-to-earth, kinda shy, doesn’t enjoy posting on social media too much etc. Plus, he is best friends with Jankto (and I hope he’s being supportive). They usually room together and play FIFA haha, they also did a couple of interviews and challenges together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I lowkey shipped them, now I feel kinda bad about that)
I really like Antonín Barák, who plays in Italy (Fiorentina); he commented on Jankto's instagram post, he also distanced himself from a presidential candidate who was using the NT's shirt (with Barák's number) in his campaign, he seems to be one of the "socially responsible ones" in the team.
the rest of the team is kinda meh, i don't know enough about them to really say much - some of them just seem to be boring and with no interests or personality (Vydra), some of them are predicted to be stars (Adam Hložek, he's the starboy, 20 years old, but hasn't really stepped up in the NT yet)...
And about Jakub himself: he comes across as very determined and focused. I listened to an interview with him some time ago where he spoke about how he went to play in Italy at 18, and how he learned to "take care of himself", cook, speak Italian, live on a budget etc. Then he decided he would like to play in Spain so he learned Spanish. He's also into esports and owns an esports team (but apparently he's not very good at them himself, as Patrik Schick always beats him - at least that's what Patrik said). He seems to be approachable, e. g. he appeared in a video quiz done by a Czech football-focused youtuber (who's not super famous). Also, he likes to draw/paint, and did a drawing of Paulo Dybala some years ago. He always seemed to be a very driven person with various hobbies, and I felt a bit sorry for him coming back to the Czech league (and not performing very well). The thing is, he used to play for Slavia years ago, then he was in Italy and Spain, and now he's in Sparta (Slavia's biggest rival), so a lot of people hated on him for that. And he wasn't performing well for the NT and for the club in the past months - which could be related to him sorting out his personal life. He went through a divorce, then his ex-wife sort of alluded to him not paying the child's support (they have a son) in kinda cryptic Instagram posts, the situation around him was a mess.... Now the ex-wife spoke of her support for him, and said that she hopes he can be at peace, safe and happy.
I really hope Jankto's coming out will help people - the players and fans alike - realize how much homophobic banter still goes "under the radar" most of the time here, and that they will become more aware of how difficult it must be for Jankto to be constantly in such environment.

[A VIDEO IS UPLOADED FROM A NEWSCAST DATED 7/9/23
Leading Kanto daytime news network, KNN's logo can be seen briefly before it pulls back to a daytime talk set up. Two reporters are seated behind a desk, Corey, a well dressed looking man in a blazer, and Diane, a platinum blonde woman with natural makeup and a wide smile.
Corey- And now for our top story this morning, we have footage of an exclusive interview with the man suspected to be behind the Glitch Pokemon rampage in Celedon City.
An image of aver flashes on screen. The image has been cropped so that he is looking away, in an attempt to make him look more sinister.
Corey- Now I've gotta say, Diane, this really might be the most bizarre interview I've ever watched. What do you think?
Diane- You might be right Corey. I've seen a lot of interviews, but this guy seems pretty off the rails. Let's take a look.
The shot cuts to a scene from the interview. Renowned Hoennian Journalist Gabby Newsworthy. aver's voice can be heard filtering in from a speaker. It sounds as if everything he says has a layer of static to it. As if being filtered by an old tape recorder.
Gabby- Today we have an exclusive interview with Aver, uh, do you have a last name?
aver- I do not, actually. Also you can call me Zaver for the interview, I don't know if you can pronounce [sharp percussion sound]aver.
Gabby- For those of you out there who Don't know, Zaver's recently been accused of being the perpetrator behind the recent attack on Celadon City by the Glitch Pokémon, uh...
[there's the sound of a barely audible voice from off-screen, likely Ty]
3trainerpokedollarsign. We're here to get his side of the story.
aver- I don't know, because I was literally in hoenn. I saw it on the news like everyone else and my friend Simon was calling to try to help while I was trying to help him help.
The interview cuts away, centering back on Diane and Corey once again.
Diane- So he can't give a last name. I mean, I don't know if that's a bad thing or not, you can't pronounce his first name anyway.
There is some laughter from both hosts.
Corey- But these are some serious charges Diane. I can't tell if it's brave or crazy. I mean he's claiming he wasn't even in the region when the attack went down, but we know it was his ID on the pokemon. The question is, what is going to make a story like that stick for him? What about this is going to clear his name?
Diane- Well Corey, we've got more clips, and I think the answer to those questions might be a shock to both you AND our viewers. Take a listen.
The cut returns to Gabby and aver, much later in the interview.
Gabby- What about this Dr. Grant Emmerson? The one who appeared on the news. According to my research, which was all done perfectly legally by the way, there's not really evidence of him working for Silph beyond their PR team.
aver- That is understandable because I seriously doubt Silph would want to be attached to Team Enigma in any way. I'll be honest, I think Team Enigma went rogue from them but I am starting to think Silph themselves didn't want this stuff to be happening.
Plus. He specifically runs the Team Enigma blog. I can say for certain I don't think anyone is safe from Team Enigma right now, actually.
Gabby- I've seen them around Rotomblr. They seem very opposed to Glitch Pokémon and Glitch City in general. They say they want to keep people safe.
aver- So the literal first interaction glitch city had with team enigma is I spotted their base while remapping, stopped by to say hi, and they killed one of my pokemon and nearly killed me. I think that tells you a lot about how anti-glitch city they are...
Not to mention, they are not opposed to mass destruction to make whatever point they want to try to make. They've actually pulled a stunt similar to what happened in Kanto over in Glitch City. Destroyed the whole town...
Gabby- Skies above
aver- this is a warning, don't trust team enig--
The interview cuts back to Diane and Corey once again. This time both are looking concerned.
Diane- Well that is all the footage we were able to see, unfortunately it looks like they lost connection and weren't able to finish their talk. What do you think about all that Corey.
Corey- Well Diane, I think he said it himself. That was a chilling way to end an interview. And to be honest, I didn't hear a lot of explaining going on there. It sounded like this was more of a Team Enigma hit piece. Those guys better watch out. It sounds like there might be a Three Trainer Poke Dollar coming to Saffron City pretty soon.
Diane- I think he said some pretty interesting things there Corey. Pointing out that a town from his region was attacked in a similar way. Is this a possible motive for revenge. Just what else is this "Zaver" not telling us about himself and about the region of Glitch City.
Corey- Well, Diane, Glitch City is still a big mystery to all of us. But the more we learn about it the more it seems like they've got a chip on their shoulder. If it wasn't this guy it's just as likely they're hiding someone else who does want to get back at our region. And unfortunately it sounds like the local government is willing to protect him for as long as possible. So far no law enforcement has been able to apprehend this suspected terrorist who is still at large. The question is, what's next?
Diane- I can't tell you that, Corey. But I do know we'll be keeping on top of this story as more unfolds. This has been KNN news, channel 8, Kanto. Back to you, Ari!
END OF BROADCAST]
So this isn't looking all that great. This was broadcasting in Kanto apparently just this morning.
We might need to be ready to make statements to the police if it's necessary. I'm really hoping not. I was hoping to have all of this solved sooner.
I don't think we should be doing any more public interviews for the time being...
-Simon

On the Therapeutic Benefits of Recreationally Becoming an Expert
I love learning things and I love sharing things I’ve learned with other people. That’s why I’m a graduate student, why I love being a teaching assistant, and why I keep this blog. The feeling of coming to understand something is an unrivalled high for me and I’ve been addicted, so to speak, since I was nine years old. The academy has thus far provided me a structure through which exploration of a narrow set of interests is made viable. However, academic work is difficult. There are deadlines, there are expectations, there is the unceasing pursuit of funding. All of that is exhausting. But the actual work, the actual act of pursuing expertise in a field is so invigorating that I cannot put it aside. So, I find myself using my spare time to turn my hobbies and interests into objects of academic interest. This is an essay about how this process has been both invigorating and therapeutic for me.
Perhaps unmentioned thus far on this blog is my love of cars. I’ve been enamoured with them since I was a child and rediscovered this love during the pandemic. However, as a urban academic without a driving license, my passion for automobiles has been largely expressed through consuming videos, podcasts, and articles on the subjects of automotive engineer, design, and racing. Among these, one particular podcast stands out. Hosted by automotive journalist Jason Cammisa and Porsche enthusiast/used car salesman Derek Tam Hyphen Scott (you pronounce the hyphen in Tam-Scott’s name, just go with it), The Carmudgeon Show is both irreverent and incredibly informative. Cammisa and Tam-Scott have an unbridled passion for motoring and a depth of expertise that is consistently mind-boggling. From Cammisa’s experiences driving seemingly every new car from the past twenty years to Tam-Scott’s encyclopedic knowledge of Porsche model minutiae, every episode leaves the viewer with the same impression: these two men are experts in their field.
I admire the hosts of The Carmudgeon Show because their expertise is indicative of their dedication to their passions. They are experts because they love cars, they love driving, and they love car culture (okay, they do gripe about that last one a bit, but who doesn’t hate the things they love?). In a Q&A episode a few months back, they addressed a common question they receive: how do I become like you? How do I become an expert? Cammisa’s answer was simple and profound: gain experience. He argued that their expertise was really the culmination of a lifetime spent experiencing cars first hand. In so doing, they were naturally inclined to seek out further information about what they were driving, who designed it, and why it was the way that it was. It was only after reflecting on this episode and that answer that I realized something sort obvious: I was on the road to becoming an expert.
In my academic work, this much has always been obvious. Becoming an expert is the point of graduate school in a lot of ways. The number of people who understand Sue Campbell’s work better than me is probably numbered in the low double digits. By the time I finish my PhD dissertation, that number will likely drop into the single digits. However, what really struck me was that Cammisa’s description of expertise actually described my recreational interest in yuri manga and light novels better. By that point, I’d been voraciously consuming yuri content for the better part of two years. While that amount of time pales in comparison to Cammisa and Tam-Scotts’ decades of experience with cars, the process was similar. As Cammisa had described, I’d naturally begun to search out meta-textual resources to understand what I was reading. I started learning Japanese and reading academic monographs about the language, history, and culture. While I wouldn’t call myself an expert in yuri now (at least not publicly), I’m definitely on the right path. Inspired by Cammisa, I’ve even started to keep a spreadsheet cataloguing the manga, light novels, anime, and games I consume along with some brief thoughts on each. Today, having just filled out a few new entries, I was struck by how much fun this process has been.
Reading, writing, cataloguing, and sharing my love of yuri has become one of the most important parts of my life. If the chance presented itself, I think I would probably even jump ship from my present academic trajectory to pursue yuri studies full time. My heart swells when I glance over to my overfull yuri shelf or when I finish another silly little tumblr essay. In all my life, I don’t think I’ve ever been so consumed by something. I’m fairly confident that my teenage self would be so jealous of how open I am now with my passion for stories about girls kissing. And I love that for me.
My point with all of this is that becoming an expert in something you love can be immensely rewarding. I’m sure this isn’t a ground breaking revelation for anyone else, but it is for me. Due to a combination of closets and undiagnosed ASD, I really struggled to figure out who or what I was supposed to be as a teenager. I felt like a cartoon character, a caricature of a person. I didn’t live for myself but for others because I lacked internal motivation to be. I went through the motions of life because it was expected of me. For a long time, I hated myself. I hated that I didn’t feel like a real person and I hated how easy everyone else made being human look. I threw myself into academics because I was good at school and it provided an external validation structure that assured me that even if I didn’t feel like, I did exist and people did, at least superficially, care about that fact. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that I felt like my truest self existed on paper, in report cards and later transcripts, and that the meat I inhabited was really just a vessel for that paper-self. Every once and awhile, I’d catch glimpses of the person inside the meat. The person who craved aesthetic experiences, the person who used photography to try and prove to herself that she existed by demonstrating she had a unique perspective on the world, and the person who was so deeply scared of her own sexuality because it meant she really was a person with real feelings and desires.
Today, I still don’t have a great grasp on who I am. However, that doesn’t cause me as much pain anymore. Coming out, dating my partner, and being diagnosed all helped me understand why I felt the ways that I did. But it was discovering something I’m so passionate about that I want to become an expert on it that made me really feel like I was a real flesh and blood person with real person features like needs, desires, and emotions. It’s sort of difficult to explain why, but it just felt like I could see myself clearly for the first time. Instead of trying to find myself through accidental qualities like height, hair colour, academic status, I felt like I could just see the accident free essence of myself. Yuri was something I’d chosen for myself, without the influence of others’ expectations. I was a person who chose this thing. Almost everything else in my life to that point felt like it had to some extent been chose for me by people I trusted to make such decisions. Even the long term relationship I was and still am in was set in motion by my partner. By this, this silly interest in books about girls kissing, this was mine and mine alone. Realizing this made me realize that I could choose (or unchoose) all those other things too. I felt, for the first time, like I was making my own choices. I chose my partner. I chose my field of study. And I chose to be someone.
I made that silly pinned post months ago when some of my posts started to get some traction because I felt like I needed to. But I think I’m going to replace it with this because this is what I really think people should know about me. I’m a girl with a passion. I have certain skills and a drive to learn. I have beliefs and aesthetic interests. Those are accidental. What’s important is that I’m a person who has learned and grown and realized what it means to be someone.
Everyone has, I think, the capacity to become an expert just the same way that everyone has the capacity to become someone. Sometimes, those two things are actually the same thing and I think that’s beautiful.

hello, i just want to start off by saying how much i appreciate your blog and all its positivity. i have a question, but i'm sorry if you don't entertain these type of questions which i fully understand, it really is a genuine question though.
i'm not a intense close follower of the sussex's but i admire them so much and love their little family. how do you deal with all the hate and just plain rudeness that people throw towards the people that you follow? it becomes such an icky & negative thing and it's so unfortunate. it's frustrating seeing a random video pop up on my youtube trying to convince me that meghan is a "narcissist". all of it can be so conflicting and i'm just like why?
i'm sorry if this makes no sense but it's so FRUSTRATING. thank you for reading <3
Hello!
Well firstly thank you so much for the love - I'm nowhere near as active or engaged as I used to be but I do try and keep this a positive bubble to update and share the Sussex joy and support with you all.
And no it's a great question and very valid, I think people deal with it differently and have different mindsets, so I can only speak for myself. Other people can probably chime in with how they deal with it. Some fight back, some do good in their name, some create their own space to focus on the good, y'know?
Truthfully I took a big step back, I found myself so emotionally attached and genuinely my heart was aching for them and I couldn't defend them against the relentless waves of abuse and negativity. It was beginning to suck all enjoyment out of following them and if I was tired, I can't imagine how their loved ones dealt with it truely. Even now, thinking we only really know the tip of the iceberg of all that went out?
You make total sense. As a long term Harry girl lol, I was SO thrilled for him when he found Meghan. His other half, someone to love him fully while being perfect for "the job". Full of excitement and hope and optimism about what their future would hold. And the media narrative that was created and continually fueled did it's damn best to taint that joy and excitement for many. But they remained loved, and people that saw and knew their hearts and characters beyond the bullshit, remained hopeful for their future. And I still am, it's not the future I presumed they'd have, but I'm still very invested in what's to come for them.
In how I deal with it? I surround myself with the best people to cancel out the noise. I block, report and don't engage with any trolls, racists or negative nancys. I don't click articles by certain "journalists" because I know what to expect now. I follow a small amount of amazing positive "Sussex Squad" members on twitter, people that celebrate their successes and happiness and don't fuel the bullshit. And most importantly I guess I have my group chat of wonderful ladies who I chat the highs and lows of it all - forever thankful H & Meg brought them into my life.
It is frustrating that they are damned regardless what they do, that a narrative has been built and gets more added to whenever it suits. However I chose to focus on the good. People that know them, people that meet them have incredible things to say. Their love for each other and their children clear. The causes close to their heart known.
They are thriving. They are building a life and carving their own destiny. They make a difference, their actions and passions have impact. They want to make a difference.
I believe in them.

Journalist: Well I'll be damned- Beffica really got this thing working! Looks like I owe her that Weenyworm afterall- and maybe a Sodie for Floofty...
Hello Grumplr! You may recognize me as that one infamous journalist who....bonked up the whole Grumpfoot story ahah....BUT THIS IS DIFFERENT! I am here on an island called Snacktooth- I came to share the story of Bugsnax- an almost mythical species of bug and snack combined- with the world famous Lizbert Megafig!
We recently found this washed up laptop on the shore and I figured it might've been fun to record VIDEO evidence of our going ons and such but uh...Well it wasn't working. Two Grumps here fixed it up for me. so uh- Yeah! don't mind the mess! Ask questions! Send me things! Ask questions about the others here- or the bugsnax- I'll add them to my blog journal and we'll answer them all together like one big super interview! --- Mod Talk: Hey guys! My name is John, and this is my BUGSNAX ASKBLOG! Run by the Journalist! It's just a recent hyperfixation of mine so no promises I'll manage to keep this up- and i'll be reblogging Bugsnax things here too but try to have fun none the less. -Try not to bring up the ending (The game is best played blind) -Try to keep asks and submissions appropriate- i wont answer or post anything that makes me uncomfortable obviously. -Bugsnax is a psychological horror game. Always keep that in mind when viewing content for it.

if i remember correctly, i think you do music journalism right? if so, did you go into it with a lot of knowledge about the music scene? i want to do music journalism but i'm scared that i don't know enough about it :/
hiii yes i started about a month ago and I think I've gathered most of my music knowledge throughout books, youtube videos, interviews, and even Tumblr posts.
for starters i think you should begin by watching videos on yt abt the genres/movements/artists etc ur interested in or simply the ones that seem interesting to you. my favorite channels for that are trash theory, mic the snare, polyphonic and rock n roll true stories. they all share really interesting and fun facts/stories or full on essays on a song or an album or tell u the entire history of how certain genre came to be etc. my favorites are polyphonic and trash theory btw.
watching these videos will inevitably lead u to search interviews and articles on a certain topic and i think what's really amazing about music history is how it's all connected like rn I'm reading meet me in the bathroom and I'm so glad i read please kill me first bc it just feels more adequate and makes u feel the magic of it all yk. I'd also recommend looking around the artist tag on here bc there's also lots of content on tumblr (like damonalbarnunofficial yk they're like god) and find these blogs that know what they're talking about. some of my knowledge also comes from reading my mutuals posts yk <3
and i think what will help you the most especially on terms of the music scene is reading books written by those who have been part of it or the ones that document it. it depends on which scenes u are most interested in but some of the ones I've read are please kill me, girl in a band by kim gordon, i dreamt i was a very clean tramp by richard hell, just kids by patti smith, afternoons with the blinds drawn by brett anderson, neon angel by cherie currie and while we were getting high by kevin cummins (it's mostly photographs but includes some trivia/the story about how the pic came to be etc.) and rn im reading meet me in the bathroom so these are the ones i could recommend. but there's also lots more like our band could be your life, face it, etc etc just read the ones that attract u. also all these books are free to download on zlibrary<3
i think another fun thing is to read about certain interesting journalists like legs mcneil, lester bangs, lizzy goodman, etc.
idk if u also have questions abt that but im gonna say it anyway lol. as for becoming a journalist my advice is make an Instagram account and find as many magazines from your country as u can. international magazines are obviously good as well but in my experience they're better for submitting certain articles and making ur cv look good lol which is great but it'll be more likely to get hired by a national magazine as that's where you're based and they can actually send u to a certain show/festival or even cover your local music scene. keep active on insta even if it's just to check their accounts bc they do post a lot of opportunities mostly on stories to either be officially a part of their team or to intern with them etc so i think in this day and age this is easiest and maybe only way to be a music journalist.
and also don't worry about not knowing Everything u don't have to know all about a certain genre or artist just start with what u know and research what interests u and it'll all come to u dw <3 good luck i hope this was helpful!!!<333

to the now blocked anon user who continues to strangely stalk my blog:
okay so let me get this straight: i said that i do share posts and have called and emailed my representatives and have donated to causes in the past when we hoped the money would reach them and reposted videos from people in gaza and supported journalists doing the ground work and am actively boycotting the major companies that the bds movement has asked consumers to boycott, but i'm still pretending to care.
also, I DON'T HAVE A CAR. there are no public transportation options near me! i can't 'just drive' to a protest. i get four sick days with my job, i can't just take one to go to a protest when a lot of the ones near me are hours away. some things just are not feasible for me in this point in my life.
and while this isn't the case for me, you had no idea if i have a disability that makes it hard for me to attend these things. not everyone is lucky enough to live in walkable cities, or have readily available transportation. maybe you need to work
and seriously, fuck you. fuck you for coming into my inbox, ON ANON, mind you, and telling me not to respond to quite frankly some really rude shit. guess what? I DON'T HAVE TO JUSTIFY SHIT TO YOU, yet here i am anyways.
if you follow me, gtfo right now. and if you're just weirdly stalking my dinky little tumblr blog, you're the one who needs to get a fucking life.
also, oh wise and powerful anon, you should know that gazans have directly told us that monetary donations aren't doing shit right now because the aid isn't reaching them.
'activists' like you are so fucking frustrating. i am going to keep doing what i can with my means to spread awareness and resources about palestine. i share what i can find that's been fact checked about congo and sudan, too.
my part may be small, but i will not be silent. and i won't have some holier than thou motherfucker come into my inbox and tell me what i'm doing is lesser than when it's all i can do with my means.

What the hell is going on?
The internet has been pissing me off lately. It seems like it's impossible to log into my Twitter account (fuck off, Elon, I'm not calling it X) to say "ratio+L+get gud" to a journalist without being shown some blue-check misogynist with a marble bust avatar telling me that I must save my sons from the degenerating forces of public school, Netflix, and indoor plumbing. I can't open Instagram without seeing a LinkedIn evangelist telling me that the only way to success is to start your day with a five mile run at 3am and block off two hours before lunch for something called "deep work" in between liquid meals that will run you $50/day. I just wanted to watch videos of some guy showing me how to play "Supernaut" by Black Sabbath on the bass. Instead of three hour video essays about one specific armor piece in Dark Souls 2, YouTube wants me to watch two guys with questionable hairlines sit in a studio and debate how high a woman's body count can be before she has been gone from NPC to refuse in their eyes.
It may sound like I'm complaining about The Almighty Algorithm, but I really hate the idea of being that boring. As someone who has a working understanding of Marxian social theory, I promise that I will be more annoying than dull. As such, what has really been fueling my consternation has been the feeling that nobody really knows why they're doing what they're doing, nobody knows where they are going, and everything feels like an artifice. Other people are not people in the way you are, they're obstacles, foils, marks, rungs on a ladder, predators, or prey. Seeing them as anything other than an object with a use value at least and ideally an exchange value is a sign of weakness best avoided.
If you've spent even a second on the internet, you've certainly seen the various hacks that people smarter, sexier, richer, and more skilled than you have to offer, all for the low price of a Patreon subscription. It's not a get rich quick scheme, it's an optimization method. It's not how to make friends and influence people, it's how to become an Influencer with a powerful Brand. You're not having a crisis of identity, you're just a Beta in need of some guidance on how to develop the Sigma grindset. You have so much to learn, and a bald man with HGH gut can probably teach you.
Until I forget or lose interest because I started another character in Elden Ring, I'll be exploring the various ailments of what Marx would call alienation and how they manifest on social media in the form of content (another concept I'll probably talk about because I hate it so much) designed to be consumed, regurgitated, and consumed again in a cycle that not only radicalizes the viewer, but the creator themselves. In post-industrial capitalist society within the Imperial core, people have lost the concept of class as a scientific term. We don't share spaces with people we don't already think we'll get along with, we don't bond over things that aren't commodities, and we don't have relationships that aren't transactions. When you've been steeped in that brew from birth (usually sometime in the Reagan administration or after), it's not hard to see why Andrew Tate isn't rejected as a psychopathic cancer to a civilized society or why Jordan Peterson's vapid, half-baked Jungianism can't be laughed off as the mumblings of a charlatan. The fact is, people are desperately looking for something that just isn't there, and when they aren't armed with a truly social set of ethics or basic media literacy, anybody with any confidence or semblance of authority will do as a surrogate role model.
I can't say this blog is going to be well-planned or even well-sourced all the time. Hell, I'm not even sure how long I'll keep up with it. Hopefully, I'll get some of you thinking about how dangerous it can be to distance yourself from your fellow people. At the very least, we'll get to gawk at some real freaks. That's what the internet should be for, I think.

Howdy, Moz fans. This is Debbie. I am the Global SEO Manager at Dialpad. Today we're talking about link building, one of my favorite areas in SEO. So last year, in December of 2022, Google had announced that they did a link spam update.
So in this update, they told us that they tried to nullify spammy links at scale. So how do we exactly build non-spammy links then? So today I'm going to cover five tips for non-spammy links. Before we jump into that, I wanted to kind of share that I've kind of split the tips into a few that are related to the mindset that you should have.
So how you approach link building is really important on how you can build non-spammy links. So how you think about link building is very important here. Then the second part is the tactics. What are specific tactics that you can try that will help you build non-spammy links? So now, first tip is who, who do you want to link to your content, to your site?
So are they like your journalists or content writers? You want to think about who you want links from and then look at what they are linking to. Are they linking to certain types of guides? We'll talk about more of like content that you can create that they might be interested in linking to, but make sure you do that research beforehand to understand your target audience.
So when it comes to link building, your target audience are those journalists and people that you want links from. So you really need to understand them. So who do you want links from? What do they link to? Then also putting yourself in their shoes. So it's important to think about what do journalists want. One thing is data.
They really like data. They like to quote data. If you read a news article, they might start off with like X percent of Americans, blah, blah, blah. So this is where you need to really understand what your target audience as a link builder, what do they want to see. Whenever you do outreach to them, which we'll talk about later, you need to make sure you put yourself in their shoes and really understand what do they want, what type of content would be interesting to them.
So make sure to keep that in mind. Now, second, which is related to the first, is you have to make sure that your content, whatever linkable asset that you're trying to create has some sort of value. No value, no links. So the way link building works fundamentally is your content needs to have some sort of value.
It needs to provide some sort of value in order to get a link. If there's no value, no one is going to care about your content and no one is going to link to it. So when we think about content and providing value, I think we often think about we might want to make sure our content provides value to our customers or our potential clients, but then we don't always think about the kind of broader audience out there.
So what content that might be valuable to the industry as a whole? So that's one area to think about. Another thing is to think about what content would be informational and helpful for the content writers that you want to link to you as well as journalists. So these are things to make sure to keep in mind, and keep in mind the reason why there's a scale here is that each group that I mentioned earlier, they kind of value different things.
So you might do a piece of content that is very helpful to your customers or anyone who comes across your blog, but then that content might not be super valuable to like journalists or other content writers or people you want links from. So you need to make sure to keep that in mind that your content might only serve this group of audience.
But if you want links from another group of audience, you need to understand what content they value and make sure that that value shows in your content. Now, next tip is the actual tactics. So what can you do, what content can you create to actually get links to your site? So here are a few examples that I have found that are pretty popular within different industries.
You want to make sure that you understand what works for your specific industry. So my industry, it might be something like a research report, but then for other industries it might be something like tools. So to quickly go over those types of content, for tools, an example would be like some sort of free tool that you can provide people.
That's something that tends to get a lot of links. Another example of a linkable asset would be guides. Guides work really well in certain industries, and a guide is just essentially a very long-form piece of content that really nails down how you do something. Then the last one is glossaries. So when you target a keyword like how to something, like how to do content marketing or what is content marketing, that type of content, it can be really helpful for someone who is just starting out.
They hear certain terminologies, they're not sure what they mean. So these types of content are very helpful to readers in general, but they can also get a lot of good links if you can make sure that your content is helpful to that audience. Next is stats and research.
So as I mentioned earlier, people like journalists, content writers, they really like to cite numbers. So being able to, for example, compile a bunch of different statistics on a certain topic, so like content marketing stats, for example, I would scour the internet for a bunch of different studies and pull all the interesting numbers into this one blog post.
Then that itself can be very helpful to anyone who is writing content on my topic, right? I'm essentially kind of helping them do a bit of their homework. So that also can drive links to your page. Another example is doing your own research. So earlier I was talking about you can compile other people's research, but you can also do your own research and find really interesting things through doing a survey.
You can scrape existing data or even look at your own product data to see what are some of the interesting trends that we can turn into a report, into a story that we can pitch to like journalists. When journalists are able to cover something like that, this can also drive more links to your page. Lastly is don't spray and pray.
So I think as a link builder you might get tempted to try to find a bunch of prospects, like hundreds or thousands of emails, and try to like email everyone with the same template, with not really providing them with value. So instead of trying to email everybody, really figure out who is most likely to link to your content, who will actually find your content valuable again, and try to do more targeted outreach and really think about, again, what value can my content provide this person receiving my email and making sure you highlight that in your email.
All right, so there you have it. Those are my five tips for non-spammy link building. Make sure to follow me on Twitter @justdebbb and we can talk more about link building there.

Ethics in social media
The trends that are happening in the industry is customer service on social media apps will steadily increase over time. Another thing that will happen because of the trends is user generated content for greater authenticity. Social audio is on the rise and gated communities because of specific interests. One current case relating to social media ethics is Twitter vs Taamneh in which several families are sueing twitter, google and Facebook because they want justice for there family members who were killed by ISIS in the US and abroad because these platforms were trying to hide something about the deaths of their family members. These three companies found guilty of trying to aid and abettle the terrorist attacks against the families. Another is the Garnier vs O’Conner Ratcliff in which the board of trustees were found deleting comments and hiding them, also blocked parents from Facebook and prevented comments using designated words from being posted. The current code of ethics of the Washington Post is to not harm the integrity and reputation of the post, must not make people question there fairness of covering different issues, they must be civil on social media and treat people with respect, journalist should not use there fame with the post for public of private gain of something, and it is very high priority to keep their journalists protected. Some of the brands that are utilizing proper social media ethical practices are Warby Parker, National geographic, Nike, Red bull, and Lego. All of these brands have things in common. They have millions of followers and give the audience what they want and having the public in what there doing while also being open minded. There is one professional that I felt practice strong ethical behavior on social media is Chanel and treats people from different backgrounds and races equally and puts those people in there social media videos or shorts. Some take aways that I can bring forth in my own practices is always pull from all sources and get the full story that way. I think the main concepts that are necessary for my online conduct is never jump to conclusions about stories, adhere to fairness so that I have a balanced mindset, and think for myself and don’t follow a herd mentality. The main concept that I feel strongly against and want to avoid on social media is to say something that I will regret later because it might be a minor thing but will come around later.
My staples that I will follow on social media
Be careful when sending out a message on social media and how people could perceive it
Give all the information to the audience to be fair
Keep in mind that social media is sometimes perceived as reality
Have my photos, videos and posts be neutral and not a specific point of view
Have my posts give no negative underlying meaning to them

Hi 💓
It is the month of Ramadan and I want to avoid reading any smutty/steamy fics for the month. Which is why I was wondering if you have any Jungkook or Taehyung non smut fic recs? It can be fluff or anything just no explicit sex scenes. Thank you for your recommendations you are literally my favorite page on this platform 💜✨
🌷 Hello @dhabatae101. First, I wish you and other followers a happy, safe, and blessed Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak! ✨
I decided to answer this right away so I tried compiling my reblogs (plus those fics I haven’t reviewed yet) and authors that “specialize” in fluff/angst. However, the list went on and on 🤭. So, I will split this post into two:
Part 1: authors that have more SFW content in their catalog (you are here)
Part 2: non-smut fics (my reblogs + other recs) - Taehyung | Jungkook
Tumblr media
(Fluff/Angst) Smut-less Fics | Taehyung & Jungkook
🌷 Part 1 (Recommended Authors)
Tumblr media
@jimlingss - Kina’s masterlist is just a dream. No two stories are the same and every fic is just memorable. A truly prolific and consistent writer. Usually witty, fluffy, and charming but the angsty fics are also deadly. I posted my fave JJK and KTH fics -  the Worshipers Series can be read independently but better if read sequentially to better understand the “universe”. The Slice of Life Series  is also a must, but you can read the KTH and JJK fics on their own but I seriously love ALL 💖.
Worshipers of the Sky - KTH | series [3/3] | 35k | God AU, Goddess!OC, Sacrifice!Taehyung, Worshipers Series | F, some A
Worshipers of the Sea - JJK | one shot | 16.3k | Pirate AU, Mermaid AU, God AU,  Worshipers Series  | F, A
President’s Son - KTH | series [20/20] | 80k | Bodyguard AU (reader), Slice of Life Sereis, Slow Burn | F
Sugar and Coffee - JJK | series [23/23] 101k | Patisserie School AU, Best Friend AU, Enemies to Lovers (slight), Slice of Life Series | F
Love So Shallow - KTH | series [3/3] | 34.8k | College AU, eventual Roommate AU, Best Friend AU, Humor | F, slight A  ⭐ #holygrailfic
Black Waltz -  KTH | two shot | Butler AU, Historical AU | F, A (ah I love Taehyung’s characterization here)
Moirai - KTH | series [8/8] | 46.9k | isekai au, fantasy au, reborn as a villain in a video game | F, A
Rent a Boyfriend - KTH | I noticed this is a crowd favorite, it might end up yours too =)
A Fairy Crime - KTH | one shot | Fairy godmother OC to grant someone a happy ever after  | F, A, crack
Date in a Box - JJK | one shot | 9.7k | Date Planner (like wedding planner but make it a service for dating) | F, F, F
His Name - JJK | series [8/8] | 52.4k | Multiple Personality AU, based on Kill Me, Heal Me (this is one of my favorite Korean drama series so I really enjoyed this fic series too) | A
A Piece of Moonlight - JJK | one shot | 22k | Warrior AU, Mulan AU | really angsty though
*didn’t include Chess of Ice (since this is in the Jungkook Jock AU list)
@inktae - If you’ve been following me I always rave about this author. Mostly her work is of fantasy genre but has a slice of life tone. Her fics are just masterpieces - just beautifully written and viscerally gripping. They remind me of Ghibli films for some reason (like the tone). You can check their fics here (just avoid those with M, usually with sexual content but honestly it’s not explicit). I love everything but if you want to start somewhere, you can try:
Blue Orchids, Moonlight, Home After Rain -  JJK Soulmate AU, Hanahaki AU, Angst  ⭐ #holygrailfic
First Light - KTH x R x JJK | raved about it here (angst)
Away From the Sun - KTH | soulmate AU
The train of lost souls - JJK, feat JHS | fantasy AU | A
The swirling Ways of Stars - JJK, fantasy | A, F
@gukyi - for your enemies to lovers needs. This is one of my favorite tropes so I just love that there is a writer that ‘specializes” in this. Please check their masterlist and take note of fics with (smut). Try:
Four Weeks - KTH, College AU, stuck in campus for four weeks during Christmas
Good Luck Charm - KTH, roommates, actor AU
Moonlight Melody + Part 2 - JJK, fake dating, orchestra AU | F, A
Coffee Shop Contract - JJK, fake dating, college AU | F
If I Told You - JJK, college, unrequited love/pining | F, A
Midas - JJK, magical realism | F, A
Love Project - JJK, comedy, photography assignment | F
@koorara - ugh I just adore their writing. Tooth-rotting fluff seems effortless with her drabbles/short stories. You can check their fics here. My faves:
Driving Me Wild - JJK, demon au, roommate au, ongoing drabble series but you can read it (not cliffhanger-ish), soulmate au | my review (tooth-rotting fluff)
His Dandelion - KTH, someone sent an ask about this you can read the description | A
Down and Down - JJK | MMA fighter, slight making out | A, F
The Pitter Patter of the Heart - skip the drabble with mature content, husband au, lecturer jungkook, this is super cuuuute | tooth-rotting fluff
@suhdays - it’s just amazing to find a writer with a non-smut catalog. Writing is just pure and focused on the plot and emotional/character development. Please give their masterlist lots of love. My faves:
Access Granted - I like hacker Jungkook. SMAU format
A Cinderella Story - JJK | also based on the movie | F, A
Wherever You Are - JJK | vampire, ceo (I love this) | A, F
Terms of Endearment - JJK | poet jjk x artist reader | F
Bucket List - JJK | friends to lovers (this is adorable! my review of this is still in the drafts like the rest of the fics 😥) | F, slight A
Camp Crush - KTH | brother’s best friend (this is funny like I was just smiling all throughout)
Made of Honor -  KTH | SMAU, recently completed! Like the movie
Baby I’m a Fool - JJK | Fake Dating, Co-worker AU, E2L | F, A
@vanaera - her Yoongi coworker E2L series is something I’m always waiting for and  I don’t think her other fics contain smut. Please check The Prince and His Rose (bestfriend AU, College AU, childhood friends, football player x writer!reader Jungkook, fluff/angst)
@namjoonchronicles - so I recently binged on this author’s writing (still bingeing on her other members’ fics). Their catalog has a lot of Domestic AUs which are beautiful slice of life pieces. It could be as simple as folding the laundry but it would be so meaningful. I said in one of my reviews that their domestic fics has same vibes as illustrator Puung’s Love is in Small Things. I would like to post my favorites here but I think I recently just reviewed/reblogged tons of their work (you can search my blog for the reviews). Please check their masterlist. Granite Glow is my ⭐ #holygrailfic
@rosaetae - if you like angst that hurts but it all makes sense why the situation had to be angsty, then her masterlist is something to binge on. Not all are angsty, just mind the tags for pure “fluff”. My favorites:
The Bedtime Contract - KTH, roommates, enemies to lovers, sort of cuddle buddy?, fluff but there’s slight angst | F, A
Dream a Little Dream of Me - KTH, soulmate au, could hear soulmate’s voice, waitress x songwriter |
Lavender + Vanilla - KTH,  a story about a boy who had forgotten his memory of you
Chrysanthemum Effect - KTH (JJK has a side story too), Hanahaki AU
Among the Evergreen  - JJK, Christmas AU, E2L | F
Sweet Apple Biscuits - JJK, receives letter from their future self asking to save one boy ⭐ | A, slight F
Best Thing He Never Had 01 02 03 04 05 06  - JJK, bestfriends to lovers | A, F
Better Late Than Never - JJK drabble, exes AU, fake dating (I love this scenario, there’s one funny moment here with Jungkook saying his feelings through a door) | A, F
@justimajin - another favorite of mine - her fics actually try different genres/scenarios and are usually series. I find it fun to wait on episodes weekly. A consistent writer too. See masterlist here. Selected works:
Catching a Case of Doctor Blues - KTH, medical AU, enemies to lovers, slice of life
Swapped - JJK, body swap, really fluffy! I reviewed it before and screamed at how fluffy this is 😍 | tooth-rotting fluff
A Lone Wolf’s Howl - JJK, werewolf AU, sort of enemies/rivals, hunter AU, bestfriend. Note: there is a chapter with smut, you can skip that portion | A, F, S
@bubmyg - oh wow her works are just tooth-rotting fluffy goodness too (especially the Yoongi drabbles/one shots). But please check her fics for Tae and Koo. My picks:
Can’t Fake a Feeling - KTH, F2L, Fake Dating, College AU, Fuckboy (not smut)
Extra Cheese Sauce, Please - KTH, F2L, College, friends keep setting them up
Strawberry Boy - JJK, I just reblogged this weeks ago so you probably have read this | tooth-rotting fluff
Wonder - pool boy!jungkook x journalist!reader | F
Not a Date - JJK | one shot + drabble series, kinda E2L. cute |  tooth-rotting fluff
Dare to Begin - JJK | college au, idiots to lovers, broke college students |  tooth-rotting fluff
gcfguk + idcilh - a youtuber!jeongguk drabble series | F
you can check their masterlist for the other drabbles and fics I haven’t read/included
@cupofteaguk - a writer whose fics end up in my fic rec lists regularly. When I get asked about certain tropes, I always remember one or two of her fics. Their Reputation Series is binge-worthy but they also have plenty of scenarios/tropes to choose from. You can find a lot of KTH or JJK fluff-based fics here (or other members too):
the maze to you - KTH |  soulmate au | angst
along the boardwalk - KTH | skater boy/college au | fluff
it’s all fun & games - JJK | fake dating au | fluff
say you won’t let go - JJK | soulmate au | fluff
on the road (to you) - JJK |  road trip/strangers to lovers au | fluff
new romantics - JJK | hogwarts au, quidditch player, enemies to lovers | F, A
@crystaljins - another writer with fics that have well-developed plot, great angst and great endings. I recommend all (check other members’ fics here). Extra love for:
Take a Chance - JJK | series [7/7] | 63k | Hanahaki AU, Coworker AU, Boss!Reader, Wedding Planner AU | A, F | My review  ⭐ #holygrailfic
Schemes and Tricks to Win Her Heart - KTH | series [5/5] | 22.5k | Fake Dating, feat Chaebol/Rich Seokjin, Taehyung is Jin’s Little Brother, and OC is Tae’s bestfriend
I haven’t read the new Taehyung Christmas fic yet but give it a spin =)
@springbean - I love her story concepts and ideas! When I discovered her, I just binged on their work and I enjoy every new fic she releases. My personal favorites are listed below, but you can also check her masterlist here:
Onyx - JJK | cyberpunk AU, abo dynamics (it is sooo interesting to use abo dynamics this way. Usually abo is associated with werewolf aus but this is like a social classification system in this fic. It is still ongoing but it’s the type of story you can read and remember easily so in case it gets updated you can jump into the next chapter)  ongoing | A, F
Wolfsbane - KTH | Werewolf AU, college, soulmates (included in my KTH werewolf fic recs)
Cursed - JJK | Prince x Mage/Witch, Fantasy, Medieval, E2L, action (basically has all AUs I like) ongoing
Enshrined - JJK | this is new! fantasy, fae world, isekai, childhood friends, eventual smut (?) but since we’re not there yet you can still read it smut-less  ongoing
@army-author - another prolific writer with a catalog you can binge on. I recently reblogged/reviewed some of my favorites but believe me there are more (I am just lazy with reviewing and such). Personal faves:
Gamomania - JJK | childhood friends | tooth-rotting fluff, slight S
X and O - KTH | fake dating, single parent, teacher AU
A Monster Crush - KTH | childhood friends, angst, fluff, horror, implied S   ongoing
All This Stigma - KTH | fwb au, unplanned pregnancy, arranged marriage, divorce, really angsty but I love it!
The Village Idiots - JJK | soulmate au, childhood friends, they’re soulmate-less (or are they?) |  tooth-rotting fluff
The Alchemy of Amor - JJK | fantasy au, royalty au, enemies to lovers (new) | F
Fire and Ice - JJK | oh this is probably the first I’ve read from the author, E2L but make it fluffy rivals (he’s fire and she can yield ice), fantasy au, magic | F
Black and White Christmas - JJK | Office AU | F
@thedefinitionofbts - I love how emotionally invested I get when reading their fics. Most of their fics are smut-less but deeply rooted in emotions so I remember the story a lot even if I’ve read some years or months ago (I said in my werewolf fic rec list that there’s this Jungkook fic of theirs that’s really sad and I still imagine him waiting for OC.) Just powerful storytelling. You can check their masterlist and mind the fics with smut. I wanted to list my favorites here but I’ll end up listing everything. If you want to start a fic, I recommend:
A Story that We Paint - KTH x R x JJK | Sci-fi, College AU, Lucid Dreams AU | A, slight F
Our First and Last - JJK, VMIN | Soulmate AU, Sci-Fi | A, F
Kingdom of Crystal Snow - KTH | Christmas, Royalty (yay something purely fluffy)
Corner of the Universe - KTH | Reincarnation AU
other fics I like have S content or too sad
@threeletterslife - I love her fics because they make me dwell and ponder on things but themes are very heavy (I think she has one crack fic though). No smut and you can try all her works if you are in the mood for angst, some pondering, etc. Masterlist here. You can read the Love Chaser Series (though you have to read the Yoongi series first before reading Jungkook’s, it’s one universe).
Whipped with a Cherry on Top - KTH | friends to lovers, crack
The Time Traveler’s Playbook - KTH | time travel AU | F, A
Cuss Out - JJK | High school AU, crack | F
@artaefact - just feel good scenarios and I love her drabbles! I’ve reblogged and oohed aahed over the drabbles that are short but powerful scenarios.
incandesce + warmth drabble - JJK  (safe to say, you can read all their drabbles) | F
Aeturnal - KTH | fantasy au, royalty au (I loooove this. it has inexplicit S though, you can skip)
A Letter in Roses - KTH | husband au, valentine au
Calling You Mine - JJK | College AU, S2L, tooth-rotting fluff
@augustbutwinter - a writer to watch out for. August delivers so much even with minimal word count; they can get you emotional (fluffy or angsty) and it is so easy to visualize the image she is trying to describe. Just wonderful. The words just flow easily too so the fics are not difficult to read/imagine. I recommend the ff:
My Tears Ricochet - KTH | ghost AU, roommate AU, fluff (sometimes angsty), drabble series ⭐⭐
Rose Coloured - JJK | post college AU, some sort of reunion with an old flame | F
@akinnie75 - What a wonderful storyteller. I would binge on her fics for their plot/storylines. Usually it feels as if you are reading a tale. Several of their fics ended up in my #holygrailfics (the namjoon and jimin ones). You can try:
Ghost Marriage - JJK | fantasy, idol au, kind of arranged marriage | A, F
Until Spring 1 | 2 - JJK | Romance, Fantasy, visited the Freesia Island for Spring but taken for Arranged Marriage instead | A, F
Moonchild - KTH | a tale about the legendary Moonchild, a mythical creature known for its ability to heal life of all sorts

🌷ggukkienote:
I’d also like to recommend checking the fics in each of the reading lists and Fic Recs by theme. You’ll find these lists in the NAVI page. Fics/Titles included per list are usually tagged for A/S/F content.
I will update this once I remember other authors that focus on A/F
Part 2 (Fic Recs) - linked top of this post
