[just venting a bit into the void you understand you understand 😌] Lately I've been feeling very caught between "I have a lot of thoughts on Sparrow and Normal and all that with the ending and teen talk and feel like I need to get them out and voice them for my own piece of mind and resolution" and "I am lacking the strength and energy to actually sit down and write it all out and kind of really just want to fully move on to other things (AUs, fics, anything else)" but my brain can't seem to commit to either and that's quite frustrating cause it's just left me very restless. *Sigh*. Idk! Just needed to complain about that a bit ig, it's silly but this is what has been ailing me as of late.

Listen, Julie knew she wasn't the coolest person with the most witty quips. She'd never been able to come up with something cutting to say to Carrie when she was being mean, and Flynn was the only one who consistently laughed at her jokes.

She just hadn't thought it would be an issue in the Haunted House Flynn had dragged her too.

On the upside, the totally mortified embarrassment had carried her through the last two rooms, not even jumping at the animatronic skeleton or the werewolf who jumped out to snarl at them.

"I can't believe I just did that," she groaned into her hands, sitting on a bench outside the haunted house while Flynn pet her back.

"I mean, you did make him break character and laugh," Flynn soothed. "Most people would see that as an accomplishment."

"The crazy dentist with the giant blood-stained drill asked me to take a seat and I told him I forgot to brush before I came!" Julie wailed. "And then I showed him my purple tongue from the slushie we'd gotten!"

"And that was funny!" Flynn reassured her.

"I basically said my mouth is gross!" Julie whined. "And he was really cute!"

"You think I'm cute?" a voice said behind them. A much less fake-gravelly voice, but still a very distinctive one.

Julie froze, before slowly looking over her shoulder. Honestly, this was scarier than anything they came across in the haunted house. Behind her, the cute evil dentist stood, though out of his blood-stained scrubs and in an orange beanie and cut-off t-shirt. He had really nice arms.

"Aaaahm!" she squeaked.

"You know, the purple slushies are my favourite too," he said. "Want to maybe get another one?"

"YES SHE DOES," Flynn said, before Julie could answer, all but dragging her upright. "And also I just got a text I'm needed elsewhere so um, bye!"

Before she could protest, Flynn had vanished in the crowd, and she was standing there with a cute boy. Awkwardly. In silence. Because she was super uncool and never knew what to say.

Luckily, Evil Dentist knew just what to say. "I'm Luke. So um, you like music?"

So yeah those are some of my headcanons involving KH and CitoIta (and Banri with minor Mankai mentions.) If anyone wants to do Taichi(who idk could play already, while I haven’t picked any out I know what type of moments would be his faves, I just can’t figure out yet if he prefers characters he relates to or characters he thinks are cool/want to be like) or Kumon (who I’d feel would want to start after seeing them enjoy it, bet Banri and Citron would have him play chronologically by timeline rather than release order “for science”) or any other characters, really, I’d gladly read it. I can see Taichi & Kumon playing KH but I don’t feel like I know them well enough to do this with them lol. I’m not even sure I know Banri well even to this with him but I attempted it lol. If there’s any questions about my decisions I might answer them, some are easier to put into words than others though.

I still think it’s criminal that, out of all possibilities they could have done with Mistystar in regards to giving her a story of her own, they never wrote about her time in ThunderClan during The Darkest Hour. I honestly thought that was what her novella was going to be about when it came out.

There’s a plethora of ideas there. Mistyfoot, having been raised in RiverClan all her life, now having to acclimate herself to what she now knows is not just an enemy clan, but her mother’s clan. Her mother’s clan that just saved her when her birth clan turned a blind eye to the torture and death that were placed on the shoulders of Bluestar’s kits.

The elders! They remembered Bluefur’s lost litter. She must have caught them staring at her, noticing the striking similarities to their lost leader. How their lost kit had grown, and how they had called her name for weeks trying to find her in the thick snows that blanketed the forest in the season of her birth.

Or how ThunderClan struggled to consolidate the idea that an enemy was also their kin. Much as they may not have liked it, Mistyfoot had a claim in ThunderClan - even though, just a few short moons ago, she had cornered their leader in an ancestral battle over Sunningrocks. How could a warrior, born inside their clan yet raised in with their bitter rivals, fit into ThunderClan? It’s by the mercy of Firestar, born outside of ThunderClan, and Whitestorm, her cousin on her mother’s side, that she is accepted to ThunderClan.

Whitestorm, who remembered Bluestar’s lost litter, and how much his beloved aunt grieved for them. His aunt, his mother in how she raised him to be kind, to be noble, and to be a warrior ThunderClan could be proud of. Oh, how Bluestar would have done the same for her kits - it’s a pity, he thinks, that all Bluestar’s finest qualities went towards warriors of another clan.

And yet he enjoys being around Mistyfoot. She’s sharp as a thorn, quick as a weasel and she holds her ground, no matter how sharply her bones jut out, or how intense her grief is for her littermate. He understands, because he understands grief - and he feels it, in some way he cannot fathom, a sharp pang for the cousin he only knew in name alone, in the words of warriors who spoke of the greatest warriors of the forest. Stonefur. He would have liked to know his kin. To imagine a world where Bluefur could have raised her kits in ThunderClan with Thrushpelt, and he could have played with and taught and perhaps even mentored. Oh, how Bluefur’s kits would have been loved. He wonders what happened to Mosskit - and decides that it’s a secret that must have died with Bluestar, and that he’ll know soon. He isn’t a young cat, after all.

And he’s the one that comforts Mistyfoot the most. She isn’t alone anymore, because when she lost Stonefur, she lost the last of her RiverClan kin besides her own children, and Silverstream’s kits. There is family in ThunderClan, who knew her mother well - and know some very funny stories of her mother, to boot - and she is comforted by that. She knows why her mother gave her up, moons ago, because Whitestorm isn’t stupid and he understands how his father’s bloodthirsty nature most likely contributed to her decision. How Bluefur rose from the ashes of losing her children to accept her destiny as deputy, and how his father hated her for that for the rest of his life. There was something there, he was sure.

And he apologizes, because she should have been ThunderClan. And she disagrees - she loved being RiverClan, after all.

But being in ThunderClan’s camp, with the kin of her mother and the clan that was her first home, she starts to wonder what life would have been like - and would be like - if she stayed, all those moons ago.

As glad as I am that BG3 is being positively received, I hope subsequent patches later on down the road allow you to establish friendships with your companions and allow you the option to leave them at just that while giving you to be able to pursue beyond them into consensual romance, because if I ever get around to trying it out for myself I am not going to look forward to having my PC get sexually harassed over and over and over again until the NPC finally takes no for an answer and backs off.

i think im over riptide and simply no longer give a shit

Why is the Don Bluth art style so hard to mimic lmao, I've been practicing for what feels like ages and I've only made one sketch I think actually looks good lol

#not a vent post! I'm not like frustrated it's just a lot harder than i hoped it'd be lol #I'm trying to practice that style because i think the way they do expressions and body language is really compelling #and i especially need more practice drawing anthro animals #besides. if i ever get good at it i can draw my favorite characters in that style. like the guy who does Don Bluth Seinfeld videos #unironically an inspiration to me i think that it's so fun to take silly guys and draw them in a style you love #i have done one (1) drawing of Vicoros in the Don Bluth style that i think turned out good but I'll probably wait until morning to post it #so that more people see it lol #I'm actually kinda proud of how it came out for a practice run #but y'know! i can always improve and I'm sure I'll get better at it with time lol
