YES thank you @kyanako5972 for your service 😤👏 (I was actually looping them both for a bit but I keep forgetting to run it lately ah...)

And hehe I have been ✨enabled ✨Have some Triage thoughts, and feel free to add your own!!

Starting off with my main praise of the song: “I want to be Innocent, I want to live.” I know the point of milgram is that all the characters are going to get worse, but I feel like this video is the first t2 song we’ve seen a prisoner get better. (People have talked about his savior complex being an issue but that’s coming after the inno verdict, in Triage he specifically says he never wanted this to be some kind of hostage situation where he has the power to save/kill people.) This is when we can finally see one of our verdicts go right. The others had an issue, or creeping guilt, or uncertainty, but Shidou gets over any uncertainty right then and there – he wants to live again!! In a series so full of death, in which half of the cast makes some reference to suicidal thoughts, plus two victims who did commit suicide, there’s something extremely profound about seeing one of them change their mind onscreen. We hadn’t gotten a moment of healing like that before, and I doubt we’re ever going to get one again.

The moment itself is shown very accurately and beautifully, in my opinion. His expression when he makes his statement about wanting to live is so unique. It’s not a smile, it’s not a grimace, it’s something in between. His voice is strained, but set. He’s not excited about it – when you’re in that mental place, it isn’t a cheery switch to wanting to live, it’s a grit-your-teeth and pick yourself up and make the tough choice. It’ll be so, so hard but by god you have a job to do. It made sense, given all the previous mentions of him helping Fuuta and Mahiru – he had a lot of complicated feelings about being a doctor, but he remembered that saving others really is his purpose in life.

And then the shock factor. Because of that moment and the family reveal, I think this video had the biggest twist of t2. The others had surprises, sure, but they were hinted at in the voice clips and vds, or they just exaggerated things we already knew about the characters. I was completely blindsided by Triage. Everything leading up to it paralleled Shidou with Mahiru, so I thought it was just a lover he’d lost (and maybe someone he’d just met or something). He had his moments with Amane, but I always assumed it was because of her connection to him, not vice versa. I assumed he was just overdramatic and killing people for some lady he’d fallen for, and then decided to take the easy way out and ask for death. So to find out he had a fully established family, wife and two kids??? To see his main character trait from season one was completely reversed??? (but in a way that wasn’t at all forced???)

Now, it’s much easier to make a character unlikable than it is to redeem them. We saw how quickly the fandom turned on certain characters, we felt pangs of horror for many of them. But it’s very difficult to make someone like a character they’d previously despised. Which is why I’m insanely impressed with the way those three minutes could undo months of my hatred toward Shidou, and bring me literally to tears over him. Suddenly his actions weren’t so selfish, as rash. He’s not taking the coward’s way out. He had incredibly good reason to do what he did, and now he’s taking accountability and choosing to face pain in order to atone. I’ll add more in a sec, but it’s not even that the video shows him as this perfect saint. Without holding back on everything he’d done wrong, it conveyed a real, grieving human that really moved me.

Of course the music itself was amazing – Shugo Nakamura sounds incredible. I don’t know too much about actual music structure, but the tone of both Shidou’s songs manages to be so fun and relaxing while simultaneously filling you with that profound sadness. It’s like an embodiment of his peaceful, sad smile. There’s something so human about his voicemail message, and it’s unique hearing different types of speaking parts in a song! But that moment is also foreboding. You wonder why he missed the call, and who’s calling, and you kind of already know, and you hear the three beeps as the line is dead. Then there’s the gut-wrenching return of those sounds, with the added visuals bringing to mind a dying heart?? Insane.

And lastly, the visuals are gorgeous. Bringing back the flower/pomegranate symbolism in a similar but new way was perfect. The bright scenery and picturesque scenes really emphasized how happy he was. The video is so bright. His family is gorgeous, they’re happy. His neighborhood is sunny and warm. His house is comfortable and light. Which meant the dark scenes contrasted perfectly, driving home how jarring his loss was. And despite all the good things I said about him before, the video isn’t actually trying to paint him in an innocent light. There are literal graveyards behind him, showing how much blood is on his hands. The rotting food is such a disgustingly painful way to show what he was doing to people. He handed the tag directly to his son, showing full accountability: he gave his son his fate, he killed him himself. The images seem beautiful at first, especially compared to AKAA’s dark, bloody rooms, Backdraft’s grim tunnel, and INMF’s monstrous bees. But no matter how lovely it looks, it successfully conveys a truly horrendous crime.

In conclusion Shidou my fucking beloved. Go watch Triage again :3

The bento counter clip you shared is EXTREMELY funny (if it's not a glitch I'd love to try and trigger it), but I couldn't help notice the flower petal-shaped particles in Jo's "heat trail" for the first time. I somehow managed to overlook them until now.

RGGJo also has petals in his heat trail, and personally I've always liked to link it to the fact he canonically wears perfume. What if 7Jo wears a floral scent too...? Would be neat, given I can't tell which of them is supposed to be the one with the sensitive nose lol

Jo’s counter is actually a programmed thing from my understanding: he is meant to deflect regular/MPless attacks and items, but considering most people use exclusively special attacks at this point I reckon not a lot of people catch it (and as for items, you’re either using a rocket launcher/projectile or you’re too far for him to do... that LMAO). Still, it’s going to entertain me for a while the fact he CAN just cancel your healing

And I’m SO glad you noticed the petals too! I didn’t catch that they were a thing for RGGJo as well, but I thought they were a cute detail for Y7Jo when I first noticed them a while back! It’s especially sweet if we put it in the context of a reference to him and perfume :)

okok im so glad you asked. because like i said a few days ago, i think you need a good reason to put taylor swift in ship playlists (just bc it's so easy yk?).

so my starting point with this was "voted most likely to run away with you".

i remembered that line so i knew i wanted to consider the song for this playlist, and then i read the lyrics and taylor's commentary from spotify.

what she says there is "this song is about disillusionment with our crazy world of politics and inequality, set in a metaphorical highschool. i wanted it to be about finding one person who really sees you and cares about you through all the noise.”

so the highschool metaphor for politics and inequality is definitely a Choice, but it does work for us in this case dont you think? smarter and more eloquent people than me have discussed this in the past for sure, but there is something about what is essentially a mean-girl-trio being some of the most politically influential people in the atla world. and the disillusionment is also part of it, i think this is a big theme in both the beach and the boiling rock, from mai and ty lee’s perspectives. and of course, finding the one person who sees you and cares about you through all the noise.

the slytherins cheered very loudly while the other houses groaned and boo'ed the slytherins. draco had a smug smile, he was proud for himself.

he couldn't have done it without his beautiful muse, y/n. who encouraged him to carry on the game.

finally here it is!

he regresses usually to ages 10/11-14 typically. he can regress younger but its not often

he tends to be very quiet when little quiet like he's got his mind busy and hes focused however he'll talk and talk when he gets excited and enthusiastic about something

we all know he likes to read but when hes little its the #1 activity for him best way to keep him busy probably better to give him a book with pictures or thats not too hard to read

will fall asleep reading with his glasses on needs to be tucked in for naps and glasses taken off for him

has fallen asleep sitting with trinket loves petting trinket because her fur is soft

will play with his pocket watch a lot shiny pretty thing making nice tik sound

shy about asking for attention will make grabby hand gestures, mumble and whine until he gets cuddles

please take his weapons away when he's little he'll hate it but you gotta keep it out of his reach. no pepperbox and no bad news no matter what he tries dont give in.

subconciously bundles up will snitch someones coat and make himself a lil warm nest to read in probably why he likes sitting with trinket

will build a fort no scanlan allowed.

will play with best buddy grog and pike pike comes up with play date ideas

any questions? ask cass actually one of the best people who knows how to handle him is his sister the party only managed to handle calming him down thanks to her he's happy to see her anytime and loves hanging out with her when little

as long as hes not busy with a task like reading, you can pick him up anytime will lean against you if you sit next to him when hes reading absent mided touch or just general physical affection wont admit it but loves being held

be careful and watch him when he takes naps he does have nightmares and will cry

remind him he cant chew his nails or bite his sleeve need to find him a paci but hes very hesitant to use one.

he does get very pouty and grumpy attention tends to help with that, not upset a lot kind of grumpy but often needs snuggles

keep him in sight at all times hes curious he will wander off and he will get lost

he's still a very responsable little will tidy up and keep things tidy if you drop something he'll tug on your sleeve and put it in your hand or if you trip he'll go "uh oh" and give you hugs so you feel better he's a big brother and he grew up doing that sorta thing for his younger siblings so he'll do it then too

Enigma// Ch 2

Modern!Anakin x Reader

(a/n: So I’ve got an idea about this story, but dont worry I’m gonna juggle this one and unconditionally :) as always ty for reading and I hope you enjoy this one just as much as my other stories)

as time goes on you grow closer to Ahsoka, though you still wonder about her friend...

A few weeks passed without seeing the group from that night, though you had become closer with Ahsoka. The two of you had exchanged texts and did study sessions quite often. You found that not all D1 athletes were complete assholes. The two of you liked to go club hopping on friday nights and tonight in particular the two of you were already buzzed by 7:30.

You enjoyed Ahsoka, she could make friends with about anyone, her jovial spirit mixed with her seemingly infinite wisdom drew so many people to you guys. But the more you hung out with her the more you remembered her friend, Anakin.

You hadn't seen him since the night you first met him, though you wished you could have seen him more.

There was just something so interesting about him…

“Hey!! Ready for a shot?” Ahsoka smiled, placing two small glasses on the table in front of you. You smiled and took one from her. The two of you downed the vials of liquor and began to laugh.

“Ahhahah, that one burned” she laughed making a face at the drink.

“I’ll get the next round, but we’re doing a mixed drink” you offered, to which she threw a thumbs up.

She plopped down on the stook next to you and pulled out her phone. Ahsoka was a curious girl, she seemingly could drink forever and not have a hangover, but at the same time keep up her healthy D1 physique and talent. Tonight her hair was in box braids and she sported a simple maroon slip dress.

You were also dressed up and the two of you were definitely collecting the attention of all kinds of people. You took a look around to look at your fellow attendants, there were some conventionally attractive people, but you couldn’t get her friend out of your head.

Shamefully you had tried to find him on all social media but were saddened to see he either didn’t have a profile or the one he did have, had no posts. You glanced up at your friend who was deeply invested in whatever text conversation she was having on her phone.

You were filled with liquid courage so why not ask the question that was looming in the back of your mind for months.

“Hey, Ahsoka… remember your friend Ben and the other one?” you asked, trying to sound innocent.

“Yeah, Ben and Anakin,” she said, still typing.

“How do you know them?”

She set her phone down and smiled, “Yeah, so Anakin was my neighbor when I was a kid and he was friends with Ben. But we got a lot closer when they went to high school because they did ROTC and my dad was the Commander for their school. When they would have to go to meets I liked to tag along so they kinda made me like their little sister. but when I finally went to high school ROTC they were already in the real military, so yeah” she shrugged near the end.

Makes sense why he had all of that military stuff.

“That’s really cool Ahsoka! Ben seems really sweet and so does Anakin… kinda… Is that why you were celebrating with them? Because of the military job? ” you trailed off.

She let out an abrupt laugh, “Sorry! Hah, Anakin isn’t the best at first impressions, and yeah funny thing is I’m gonna be doing basic training with the same sergeant they were under.”

“That's nice” you smiled “And yeah… I really don’t think he wanted anything to do with me”.

She gave you a funny look, “Well, he did let you stay at his house, so he doesn’t totally hate you”

“I was drunk, he probably woulda done that for anyone” you scoffed.

“Hmmm I don't know F/N, He’s quite picky as to who is allowed in his “cave”. He could've just said no.”

You pondered for a moment before speaking again, “Is he nice? Cause he was a little scary”.

“He’s honestly a sweetheart if you get to know him, he just keeps a lot of walls up because he’s scared too.”

“Scared of what?” you asked.

“Scared of people judging him or looking down on him for shit he’s done or shit he deals with” she said flatly.

“Hmmm…” you smiled. “Maybe not the best time, but is he single?” you asked, alcohol heating your cheeks.

She grinned at that, “Yes, yes he is… why do you ask?”.

“Oh, I don't know…he was kinda cute” you looked away.

“Would you maybe want his number?” she asked

You snapped your head towards her, “Yes?!”.

Both of you started to giggle, “let's order the next round first” you offered.

Once you had your new drinks perched prettily in front of you she began to give you his number.

“Sooo, I just want to let you know he has a lot of baggage… buuuut you should totally go for it” she smiled.

Baggage? You wanted to uncover his secrets. As you typed his number into your phone you realized neither Ahsoka nor you would be doing this, or even discussing this sober. You hoped she wouldn’t remember all of tonight.

“just want to make sure, do you think he’d be comfortable with me having his number?” you asked sheepishly.

She giggled and pulled out her phone, “I think he’d be blushing on the other side of the screen”.

“What?”

“Yeah, I know him really well and ever since we stayed at his place, he’s brought you up several times” she remarked as she sent the contact information.

“Really? Me?” you asked, astonished.

“Mhmm, he's been like “Where's your little friend Ahsoka?” and hinting at inviting my other “Friends” over when we hang out, and I know he knows you’re the only one I usually hang out with outside of them and school” she laughed as she brought her drink to her lips.

Once she was done she added, “and trust me, that is him showing interest. I haven't seen him like this in a long ass time”.

“I don’t think I did anything particularly outstanding to earn his attention” you lamented, adding his contact into your phone.

She shrugged and finished her drink.

It was now around 10:30 or was it 1:00? Ahsoka was still going strong, dancing with some random people you two had just met. She was quite impressive.

You, on the other hand, were winding down at the bar. you drank more than you usually did and were debating if you should go back to the dorms tonight or find someone to stay with.

Your insides felt warm because of the alcohol sitting nicely in your stomach. Your cheeks were rosy and you were feeling fucking fantastic. You observed the people in the club, some were dancing, others heavily making out, but a couple across the floor caught your attention.

They were sitting together, hands entwined and you saw the guy crane his neck to kiss her head. They looked like they were supposed to be at a romantic picnic, not a club. They were so lovely, so caring, so perfect…

You wanted that.

You wanted that so bad.

The alcohol definitely made you bold, because you reached into your purse and pulled out your phone. Before you knew it your message was sent up in a small bubble.

“Hey”.

Simple.

You placed the phone back down but it dinged almost immediately.

Who is this, and how do you get this number?

“Its F/N, Ahsoka’s friend, and she gave it to me”

Why do you need my number?

You felt yourself blush, why did you need the number?

“Idk? I have just kinda been thinking abt u…”

He took a while to respond to that

It's Friday, the two of you must be out, how long have you been drinking?

“Maybee, and idkk”

You laughed at his concern, it was kinda cute.

Soon you heard your phone ringing, it was him.

“Hheelloo?” you answered

“How long have the two of you been out?” you heard him say from the other side of the phone. His voice was a tad raspy but just as good as you remembered.

“Umm, I don't know since like 7:30??”
