I want to read about characters who are not used to kindness being bombarded by acts of service. This trope works romantically and platonically. Give me found family and acts of service - all the ways a character is wrapped up in wordless, explicit care after years of cruelty and having no idea how to handle. I need it.

One of my favorite things about the ASL Brothers is the fact that Ace was the one brought out the sake and proposed becoming brothers.

Fandom Gripe #23: I know that fandom is in some deep denial about its treatment of female characters that are canonically involved with fan favorite m/m ships, but do y’all realize that when you disappear female characters from the narrative wholesale to push the idea that your canonically straight fav was “secretly gay all along!” you’re making several bad implications? That 1) bi men don’t exist, 2) bi men do exist, but those who have genuinely loved a woman before cannot genuinely love a man after that (therefore bi men don’t exist in practice), 3) women cannot inspire genuine love and devotion in men, therefore any relationship with a woman is “lesser” than the one they later have a man (see previous parenthesis), or 4) to acknowledge the existence of a lovable woman who isn’t a terrible person, where if a relationship previously existed, it did not end because of “incompatibility,” is enough to destabilize the present relationship between two queer men?

Because why is the tgcf fandom allergic to acknowledging that He Xuan had a whole ass fiancée that he loved? Why does no one ever seem to remember that the kidnappings and murders of He Xuan’s sister and fiancée were the final straws that sent him on his rampage, and he still keeps a shrine to them in the present-day of the story? Why is her entire existence and significance to He Xuan as a man, character, and to his character arc disappeared in favor of pushing Shi Qingxuan—the brother of the man responsible for his fiancée’s death—into that same role, as if to say that her impact on He Xuan is significant... just not when it's from her? Why does He Xuan’s life in fandom essentially begin not just after her death but because of it?

When I’m reading One piece fan fiction/headcannons about Zoro and they say he’s a bad dad or hates kids, I immediately stop reading and move on to the next fic/headcanon because I remember the water 7 filler arc and how he (begrudgingly yet caring) took care of the baby triplets and children when the big brother role was forced onto him. Like Zoro? Hating kids?

For me it’s a bad take but whatever you do you 🤷🏻‍♀️

My Good Omens fanfictions are kicking off. Or, should I say, Lady Crowley is. In one of the stories, she was supposed to end up with Hastur. No, she decided she wants to be with Michael.

Honestly, if she isn't the General, and the leader of angels in Good Omens, it's a crime. Because, if she is, why haven't I seen her in armour/uniform in any of the screencaps?.. Late answer sorry! Also some finale opinions oops.

Basically Will said he thought Normal would be really upset with Sparrow's love wolf moment in the finale because he would interpret it as "it takes me literally becoming god for my dad to love me". Which I think is a totally valid read from Normal's POV at the time!

He also said the reason Normal was depressed in the epilogue was because he and Sparrow in the 20 years between the ending and the epilogue never had a conversation and got closure which I'm more bummed about and a little ??? on

Sparrow always seemed like a really interesting and redeemable character with a lot of plot hooks in him who never got the chance to really... do anything. And it's just kind of disappointing to hear that even in the aftermath of the season the relationship never goes anywhere one way or the other. It just hangs there with neither of them able to communicate with the other. Which is sad in it's own way but also, 20 years is a really long time for that to still be the biggest problem in Normal's life, don't you think? I know the epilogue happened very suddenly and without a lot of prep, so I don't hold anything against Will for not having every aspect of Normal's life mapped out, but I sort of wish he had a little more going on

Anyways. Now that the season is over it's free real estate as far as I'm concerned. I'm gonna make a fancomic, give Sparrow his redemption arc, flesh out Normal's adult life, and most importantly, make these two have a gd conversation
