From being too nervous to even hug her back, to melting into her embrace without hesitation, despite not seeing each other for literal eons. They didn't skip a beat. Their love is strong I bet it can be felt across every single timeline in existence.
The fabric of time may have ripped, events of history and it's inhabitants changing in the most bizarre ways, it's clear one thing didn't change.

cw: gn reader, angsty undertone, comfort, just fluff, bonus characters!, not proofread
Tumblr media
⎯ Liu Kang
You do not even need to speak. Liu Kang can see it. You are hurt, near breaking. You trail behind him all day, head down. You actively seek his touch, small things, reaching for his hand, brushing your fingers against his bicep. You are afraid to say it, and yet, he knows.
That night, before he leaves your room to attend to his duties as Earthrealm's protector, you finally speak up. Those three simple words, so quiet, so soft. He does not hesitate to turn around. He is logical, he likes to think, but you pull him in. Within moments, he is in bed with you, his arms wrapped around you firmly. He presses his forehead against your cheek, and whispers,
"I will not leave you, my dear, I am here. Forevermore."
⎯ Bi-Han
Bi-Han knows you almost better than the back of his hand. However, he prefers to let you wallow in peace. He is afraid of pushing past your boundaries, and as such, he is far more distant. Yet, he worries. He worries with his whole heart. However, he cannot let it show. So he is as cold as ever, in front of the Lin Kuei. Strong, vigilant, unyielding.
Tonight, he does not let you go. He misses you so, and you have no need to tell him what you need. It is tender. He pulls you on top of him, holding you close by the waist. And yet, you still speak. And he listens. His gaze softens, tremendously. He looks as if he may be on the verge of tears. His voice steady, as he speaks, yet his face betrays his tone,
"There is no possibility of leaving you, no, not even in death."
⎯ Kuai Liang
Kuai does not know what ails you- but he must. He must know. You have done well to shy away from him, but he is hot on your trail. He knows that hollow look, devoid of emotion, too afraid to show any. Because if you show one, you show all. He does not smother you, no, but he does question you.
The questions stop at night. It is quiet. He is afraid of pushing you further. So Kuai Liang leaves you alone in the bed, with one last kiss on your forehead. Yet, he stands in the doorway. He waits. You speak. And he listens. All you say is one word. He retreats back in bed with you, pushing you closer to his neck. He runs his hands through your hair, calming you down. To still your beating heart. And he speaks with conviction,
"I am here, as long as you need, forever, if you so wish, my love."
⎯ Johnny Cage
Perhaps, Johnny is too much for you recently. And that's okay! He knows his limits. Yet, he finds himself seeking you out. He misses your warmth, your smile, you. He knows that he can be loud, that he can be a lot. And he's always given you space. Yet that look you hold, it is miserable. And he knows exactly what you feel. He follows you around, as if a lost dog, the entire day. He wants you to have space, but he wants you to say those words.
And you do, that night. Finally, those words escape your lips. Just what Johnny wanted to hear. He's got you wrapped up in the blankets, pulling you up into his chest. His hand rests on the back of your head, gently rubbing his thumb into your hair. He presses a kiss to your forehead, and whispers, gently, almost out of character,
"It's alright, sweetheart, I'm not leaving, not tonight, not tomorrow, not anytime."
⎯ Kenshi Takahashi
You cannot hide that sinking pain within your heart, Kenshi can hear the melancholy dripping within your words. He can hear it in your breath, your actions. How your footsteps drag, how slow you walk. He can see it, too, do not be fooled. You stay close, unnecessarily close, you look up at him with such heavy eyes, you stay quiet. He knows. He is waiting for you to act on it, to act on the voice he hears at the very edge of his mind. He is a telepath, you must remember.
And so, when you speak your mind finally, he is all too eager to make sure you know he won't leave. He pulls you up onto his chest, his heartbeat even, soft, and regular. The moment is tender, and he lets your words hang in the air. Silence covers you two like a blanket, comforting. And finally, as he runs his hand down your sides, squeezing your waist gently, he speaks,
"Do not be afraid to tell me what you want, my heart. I will stay close, I will stay."
⎯ Kung Lao
Kung Lao does not need words to stay by you. Night and day. He is glued to your side, trying to cheer you up with his charm. He does not give you enough room to sulk. He's dragging you along with him, even if it's something as simple as watching him train. To keep you at ease, to put a smile on your face. He is making sure everything he does has that effect.
Yet, you still ask him to stay when night comes. He does not deny it, and he pushes himself closer. As if you were not in his arms already. But he makes sure you know he heard you, he squeezes you, and lets out a soft sigh. There is nothing that will take him away from you, and you must know,
"I won't. Nope, not even tomorrow. I'm here as long as you want me here."
⎯ Raiden
You cannot keep Raiden away from you. The minute your expression is somber, he is following close behind you. He does not ask, or interrogate you. But he follows. He is on the lookout for any sort of thing that could have stolen his light from him. What has gotten to you, what dares rip the spark of his life from you? He does not know how to ask you, he is afraid that perhaps it is him.
But it is not. Your hand pulls him back to you by his wrist as you speak. And he obliges. He does not know what has made you feel this way, but he does know, that maybe even this one night will be enough to bring your smile back. He will stay here, as long as you need, as long as he needs. And he makes it known,
"Oh, my light, nothing can keep me away from you."
⎯ Zeffeero
Zeffeero is on you the minute your face so much as drops. Perhaps he is a stubborn lover, too prideful to admit that he cares deeply for you. But he cannot handle loosing your presence, his sunshine. He wants your attention, but does not say so outright. He will do that little thing with the water manipulation and the shapes to amuse you... without you asking. And when that does not bring the smile back to your face, he does not know what else to do.
His heart near stops when you tell him to stay that night. He feels so stupid to have skipped over that part. But he accepts. He tries to show restraint, however he is by you within a matter of seconds. He places a kiss on your jaw, before hiding his face in the crook of your neck. His arms wrap around you, keeping you close. Just as he wanted to the entire day, and he finally speaks,
"Do not scare me so, my dear. I want to keep you safe, and I'll stay until you no longer want me by your side."
⎯ Tomas Vrbada
Your distance is noticeable. However, Tomas does not act upon it. He believes that you need the space you have put between you and him and everyone else. So he does not question it. However, there is a void where you once were. His world fills with the same emptiness and sorrow you felt at your absence. He cannot help but seek you out in the final hours of the dawn. He is afraid, once more. He does not want to pressure you, so he turns his back to you.
You surprise him with your words, he near spins on his heels, a wide and beautiful grin gracing his face. He makes no effort to hide this. His happiness, his light has asked him to stay, and he would be a fool to deny them such a request. He practically throws himself back onto the bed, and wraps his big arms around you. He presses his forehead against yours, and holds your gaze. He speaks, quietly, softly, and you can even hear his smile in his voice,
"I am here for you, Drahoušek. I always will be. Do not be afraid to come to me."
⎯ Baraka
Oh, how Baraka feared this day would come. You have turned your back to him, the air around you rife with despair. He is not afraid that you suddenly dislike him. He is afraid of loosing your positivity. One of the very few things he has held onto because of his affliction. You make him forget all that is bad within this world, within him. And now, there is an absence. He does not know what to do.
But that night, you guide him. Through his own sulking, your words pull him away. Yes. He will gladly stay. If that is what you want. If that is what it takes. He keeps his distance, still. He will always be afraid of his infection spreading. But he sleeps in the same room. And just before you drift off into sleep, you hear him,
"I cannot lose you. Please, tell me when, and I will be there."
⎯ Geras
Geras has reason to believe the reason you have pulled away from him is because of his absence. Because of him. Human emotions are a strange thing, they are intricate, even more so than the dozens of timelines he has watched over. Oh so suddenly, you are turned away from him, too caught up within your own thoughts to voice what has been troubling you. Perhaps it is the fact that he does not have nearly enough time for you. That is the answer he settles on.
Before he can leave you that night, your pleas make him stop. They make him understand, even for a second. He was so sure you were asleep. And yet, you are awake, asking him to stay. He is unsure what to do. But, he must give his love what they want. What they deserve. So, he leans in, and places a gentle kiss on your cheek. His words follow soon after,
"I will always be here, my duty is important, but so are you. Know this, I am always watching over you."
⎯ Syzoth
You've ran off. And Syztoh does not know what to do with himself. He paces, he fidgets, he waits. He must see you again. But you were so hurt beforehand, and he does not know why. You have withdrawn into yourself, without a word. And Syzoth does not know how to comfort you. He knows you are feeling down, horrible even. Yet, he feels as if he has ran you off. His insecurities well up within his mind as he waits. And waits.
And the time comes where you ask him, you reach for him. Your voice quivers. Oh my, how could he have let this happen. He pulls you in, almost bringing you down to the ground. He wraps himself around you, burying his face into the crook of your neck. His nerves calm, in that moment. Muffled, he speaks, his words true and clear, if not a little shaky,
"I waited, my love, and I will stay. I will always be here. Every moment, every moment you need me."
⎯ Havik
Havik is apprehensive. He does not quite understand what to do in this situation. With you, his lover, in front of him, a mess, voice hoarse, your emotions addle your mind. He looks at you dumbfounded. He reaches for you, but his hand does not meet your shoulder. Now, you feel as if you are miles away from him. Space. That is what he understands, now.
But, the space he has given you is broken that night. You find him in bed, intertwining his fingers with yours. His scarred flesh does not scare you, as much would believe. His eyes are warm, peaceful for once. The words are on the tip of your tongue, yet you do not need to speak. Havik answers, regardless,
"Finally. Do not run from me like that again, I do not mean to leave you alone."
⎯ Shao Kahn
To return home, where you are not waiting for Shao in the kitchen, it is a nightmare. The worst is the first thing that runs through his mind. You are lost, perhaps. Taken. But he finds you, safe and well. Back to him, on the edge of the bed. He does not speak, but he lets his presence be known. He lays down on the bed, facing you, and simply watches.
Until it is time for you to speak, you look at him with such sad eyes. He is there. You do not have to ask, for you know the answer. But you ask, anyways. Shao simply reaches a hand out to you, and pulls you back in bed gently. Tonight, he can. Maybe not tomorrow morning, but tonight, he can. And he will,
"I will always stay by your side. I am here to keep you safe, do not forget it."
⎯ Shang Tsung
Shang Tsung pampers you, right out of the gate. He hates to see you like this, so sullen, so quiet. It is his goal to pull you out of this feeling. Even if it hurts his wallet. And yet, it seems his plan falls short. He is disheartened, to say the least. Perhaps he might sulk, as well. But he doesn't, or he tries not to, anyways. He simply follows you around, now. Trying to lift your spirits.
And that only comes when night falls, nestled underneath the covers. Shang Tsung is still close. Extremely close. Yet, you can't help but ask, regardless. And he listens. He chuckles softly, and pulls you in for a quick peck on the lips. For a moment, he stares into your eyes, rolling your words over in his mind. His tone is sly, but his words are, for once, kind,
"There you are, my darling. Of course I'll stay. Who would I be if I didn't? I'll stay forever, if I must."
⎯ Reiko
Reiko wants to be soft with you, and yet, he can't find a way through to you in this moment. He does not understand why you've withdrawn from him. Why you are so somber. He decides that it is space you need, not him. So, he gives you exactly what he believes. Yet, he still keeps an eye on you. He wants to make sure you are safe, regardless. Even as you sulk.
You find him once more at the end of the day, laying in bed. The idea of him, of Reiko, relaxing, seems so odd. Yet, he is lounging. He is waiting. So you speak, and all he can do is look at you. He gestures towards the bed, and you do so. Laying down, he holds you close. Properly. His arms wrapped around the small of your back, your forehead against his chin. And he speaks, finally,
"If I am to say no, then I would rather be decapitated by General Shao himself. Do not ever hesitate to ask, you know I will."
⎯ Erron Black
Outlawin' and Gunslingin' is a hard trade. What's even harder is making sure you are happy. And now, you are pulling yourself away from Erron. This mood you're in... he's going to get you to snap out of it, dammit. And he tries. He tries real damn hard. He flaunts off his skills, just how quick and precise he can fan the hammer, maybe take down some poor bird from the sky. Yet, you still look at him, devoid of emotion.
Erron has all but given up until you find him in the bed that night. Somehow, you look more of a mess then before. And he just can't forgive himself for it. Yet, you still ask. He's dumbfounded, really. He doesn't know what to say. But, his body knows what to do. Absentmindedly, he pulls you into the bed by your hand. He keeps you close, yet still leaves distance between your bodies. His hand finds your cheek and caresses it with his thumb. Finally, he's found his words, and so he speaks, for you,
"Ya ain't gotta worry about me leavin', pumpkin. I'll stay riiiiiiight here, long as ya need."
⎯ Takeda Takahashi
You're quiet. You're so damn quiet and it's almost irritating for Takeda. He can't get to you, he can't break through this heavy, melancholy air around you. He's following you around, regardless. He's going to find out why you're acting like this, and if it's because of someone, he won't mind sweating a little. But it isn't. It isn't cause of anyone, it isn't cause of him. It's cause of you. And now, he truly doesn't know what to do. So he backs off.
Until you find him once more, seeking his attention. His touch. His comfort. Takeda doesn't deny this, as you slink into bed, behind him. You tap him on the shoulder gently, and he turns his head back to you. Before he can speak, you ask. The lightbulb goes off in Takeda's head, and suddenly, he feels horrible. You didn't need him following you around like a bodyguard all day, nor did you need the bombardment of questions. You simply needed him. So, he responds,
"Don't scare me like that, dammit. Of course I'll stay, but just... yeah, yeah. I'll stay."

MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
A lot of people questioned why Liu Kang was in love with you. A lot. You were polar opposites. Liu Kang was humble while you were cocky. Liu Kang was nice while you were cold. Liu Kang didn’t exactly have a sense of humor and you were one of the funniest people anyone could ever know.
Liu Kang couldn’t describe the connection he had with you. It was like everything with you made sense. It was also very obvious because Liu Kang always treated you with love and care (even though you didn’t need it.) All felt right in the world when he was surrounded by you.
Not only were you polar opposites, you came from different worlds. You were Quan Chi’s daughter. A Cambion (half human and half demon) who was a powerful sorcerer. You first met when you were sent on a mission to kill Liu Kang.
Kung Lao could see the puppy dog eyes on his friend’s face and couldn’t help but roll his eyes. He was annoyed that Liu Kang hadn’t made a proper move on you yet. “She’s literally standing right over there.”
You were at the temple, helping train someone. You had been on Earthrealm’s side since the tournament and you finding out that Quan Chi killed your mother. You typically helped trained people since you were the most skilled fighter.
You were also injured from the fight you had with your own father. You were weaker than you once were so you had to be careful with fighting.
Now that you were here Liu Kang had the perfect opportunity and he was blowing it which made Kung Lao irritated to no end. “You guys haven’t had a normal conversation since the tournament ended.”
Liu Kang thought it was best to keep his distance. It wasn’t because he was ashamed of his feelings. He more so just thought that you wouldn’t feel the same way and he didn’t want to go through that heartbreak. “What do you want me to do Kung Lao?”
“I don’t know? Do something about it! I’m sick of you moping around here.”
Liu Kang just sighed. “I don’t want to ruin what friendship we have.”
That’s when an idea popped in Kung Lao’s mind. He smirked at the thought of it. “You’re right.” He tapped Liu Kang’s chest. “It probably wouldn’t work out between the two of you anyway.”
Liu Kang did not expect this. In fact, he was confused. Kung Lao was just begging for Liu Kang to “make a move” and all the sudden the idea was shot down like that. “What do you…”
He couldn’t even finish his sentence because Kung Lao was already walking towards you. You had finished training with the woman. “Not better than me but you know - you still kicked ass.”
The woman who was used to your comments rolled her eyes. “Thanks, (Y/N).”
She walked away. You dapped your forehead with the towel looking for sweat when you had seen Kung Lao walk over to you. “If you’re coming over to train - I will kick your ass.”
Kung Lao chuckled. After the tournament, the two of you had became really good friends so it was normal for you to joke around like this. “Please. You could not beat me if you tried.”
“Watch out, Lao. That pride will get you in trouble.”
Liu Kang watched as the two of you shared a laugh. He raised a brow. He didn’t understand what Kung Lao’s intentions were but he was going to find out. He made sure to come closer to them but not too close where he could be detected.
“Pride is my biggest strength.” Kung Lao looked you up and down, making it very obvious he was checking you out. “I feel that it is yours too.”
You noticed but did not say anything. If it was anybody that you had liked - for example - Liu Kang - you would have instantly flirted but you did not view Kung Lao romantically. Sure, he was an attractive man. A very attractive man but he was not the man for you. “You felt right.” You started to walk towards the bench so you could get a sip of your water. “As much joy your company brings me…” You spoke with sarcasm. “You did not come here to talk about Kombat.”
Kung Lao pulled off his smirk. “I like direct women. All right. I feel as though we have not gotten a chance to catch up since the end of the tournament.”
You would be lying if you said you weren’t intrigued by this statement. Kung Lao had confidence, yes but he was never really the type to out right flirt with a woman. Not unless Johnny Cage was possessing him. “Oh? And why would you like to catch up?”
“Isn’t it obvious what I’m asking?”
“I like direct men.” You threw back in his face. You were interested. Not in him but the way Kung Lao was going about this. Something had just felt off. “So spit it out.”
“I like you. You’re one of the most powerful women I’ve ever met. You’re beautiful, smart and are the only one that can match my wit. Friends doesn’t feel enough with you.”
Liu Kang gritted his teeth. He knew what Kung Lao was doing. Liu Kang was a patient man. A very patient man. Not only that but it was very hard to invoke jealousy within him. Very hard.
Not with you though. Maybe it was because he thought deep down with his flirtatious nature that you would want Kung Lao.
It just made him mad because Kung Lao was like a brother to him.
You tilted your head. A quick scoff left your mouth. Not only were you uninterested - you were also upset. From the very moment you had met Liu Kang, all you had done was flirt with the man. All that effort you put into him and his best friend decides to make a move on you?
“You? Kung Lao? Want me? The woman you haven’t even showed the slightest bit of interest to until recently? Me?” You took a couple step towards him. “Scratch that. You believe that you - Kung Lao - are worthy enough to even get with someone like me?” A laugh erupted from you. “You are even lucky you are breathing the same air as me.”
Kung Lao wasn’t going to back down though. Not until Liu Kang manned up and stopped him. “Fight for it.”
You raised an eyebrow, slightly confused. “Fight for it?”
“You win, I’ll leave you alone about it. I win, you have to let me take you on a date.”
The proposition made Liu Kang’s eyes light up. No. You were already weak. Yes, you were in shape to train with people that did not know Kombat. Kung Lao was skilled in Kombat meaning he could actually injure you.
It wasn’t even about Kung Lao flirting with you anymore. It was about your safety. Liu Kang quickly stepped in.
“Fight? Absolutely not.”
You turned to the new voice in the conversation. Liu Kang. He had been avoiding you for some time now which made you completely annoyed. You had no interest to deal with him right now. “Were you listening in on our conversation?”
Kung Lao started to chime and when he turned to his friend. “Yes, Liu Kang. Were you?”
Liu Kang rolled his eyes slightly before responding, ignoring it. “Your father weakened you. The fight is not on the same playing field. You could get hurt.”
It was your turn to roll your eyes. “Relax Liu-Liu. I’m a powerful sorcerer. I got this.” You turned back to Kung Lao. “Let’s do this.”
Kung Lao smirked. The two of you got into your fighting positions. Liu Kang shook his head, knowing this was a dumb idea.
You threw the first punch. Kung Lao blocked it with ease. Kung Lao threw the second but you had also blocked it with ease. The pattern continues until you did a spin kick, kicking him in the stomach. He doesn’t knock down to the ground.
You motion your hands for Kung Lao to come at you. Kung Lao jumps when you tried to leg sweep him. He goes to kick you but you do a backflip to dodge it. You hit Kung Lao in the chest but he hits you back, knocking you on your back.
You hissed in pain. Liu Kang shook his head. “Alright. You two made your point.”
“I didn’t concede.” You got back up quickly. This time Kung Lao makes it a point to motion for you to come at him.
You try to kick him. He quickly catches your leg and throws you. You do a flip in the air and lands on your feet. The two of you go punch for punch, blocking. That was until you smacked Kung Lao across the face, so hard that his nose started to bleed.
Kung Lao felt his nose. You smirked at him. He then took his hat off. You knew that now he would use the hat as his weapon. “Kung Lao…” Liu Kang warns.
He doesn’t listen. He tried to jab you with it. You dodged it. He did it again and you quickly dodged. He tried to sweep your feet with it but you jumped over it. That’s when he went for your stomach. He slightly sliced your chest and pushed you to the ground.
“Stop!” Liu Kang yelled.
Kung Lao held the hat to her chin and made you look at him. “Say it.”
You hated that he had won but you didn’t have anymore fight in you. Liu Kang was right. You were weak. “I concede.
Kung Lao lowered the hat. “By the Elder Gods.” Liu Kang mumbled and went to your side. “Are you alright?”
You cracked your neck as if you didn’t receive a scratch on you. “I’m fine, Liu Kang.”
“Let me see.” Liu Kang lifted your shirt slightly. A big slash was on your chest. He angrily turned to Kung Lao. “I told you to stop.”
Kung Lao rolled his eyes at Liu Kang’s reaction (even though this is what he wanted.) “She’s the most powerful sorcerer. She’ll be fine.” He turned to you. “And looks like you owe me a date.”
“I guess so…” You mumbled before standing up from the ground.
Liu Kang was beyond mad. Was he annoyed about Kung Lao flirting with you? Very much. All that flew out the window when you got hurt. Not only that but Kung Lao had zero feelings for you so he was just toying with you. For what? For Liu Kang to admit his feelings for you?
“Are you out your mind?” Liu Kang questioned him. “She is not fully healed yet. Now, you delayed her to heal more. For what? To go on a date with a woman you don’t even want to have?”
You raised an eyebrow at what Liu Kang said. You were confused. What was he exactly talking about?
Kung also wasn’t mad. This was all part of his plan. He had to play like he was though. “Oh, because you seem to care about her. Haven’t you been ignoring her for weeks?”
“That is not the point.”
“It is, Liu Kang. I don’t understand why you care so much. Explain to me - no - explain to the both of us why you care so much.”
Liu Kang took in a deep breath. He was usually a patient man. A man that didn’t get so easily bothered but the overwhelming feeling of love was suffocating his heart. He loved you. This was more than being the persona of the “humble easy going monk.” “I won’t let you mess with her feelings.”
“I won’t if you say it.”
You waved your hand as if you were in a classroom. “Um! Hello! Standing right here!”
Liu Kang glared at him Kung Lao. How dare he try to get him to admit his feelings on his time? “No.”
“Say it.” Kung Lao demanded.
Liu Kang looked at Kung Lao then at you. You looked beyond confused and you were about to be even more confused. Instead of saying anything, Liu Kang cupped your face and kissed you.
You stood there in absolute shock. Kung Lao’s eyes had widen. He definitely wasn’t expecting that. Liu Kang quickly pulled away. Kung Lao smirked before crossing his arms. “Or you can do that.”
You looked between the two men. “Can someone please tell me what the fuck is going on.”
No turning back now. “Kung Lao asked you on a date to get me to confess my feelings for you.”
“Annnd it worked. I am a genius. Sorry about the scratch (Y/N). I’ll leave you two to it.” Kung Lao started to walk away. He turned around like he remembered something. “Oh and (Y/N). I wouldn’t date you if you were the last woman on Earth.”
You flipped him off and he laughed. Kung Lao finally walked away and Liu Kang signed. “Come here.” He took your hand and led you all the way to his room. He helped you sit on the bed.
Liu Kang got his medic supplies and walked back over to you. “Lift up your shirt.”
“Do I have to lift it up or is Kung Lao going to come up with a ridiculous plan to convince me to take off the shirt?”
Liu Kang felt guilt in his bones. He did not want you to find out his feelings for you the way you did. Not at all. You deserved better than that. Liu Kang sat on the bed. “I’m sorry about all this…Kung Lao had no right to manipulate your feelings.”
It was at that moment you let out a laugh. “Me? Feelings for Kung Lao? Not even in an alternate timeline. I’m so glad I don’t have to go on a date with him.”
Liu Kang did feel relieved that you had no feelings for Kung Lao. You just took off her shirt instead of lifting it up. You were the most attractive woman he had ever met.
He started to treat your wound. Silence filled the air. Even though you were relieved the date with Kung Lao wasn’t real, she was still pissed off about one thing. “Why didn’t you man up and tell me you had feelings for me before?”
Here the conversation was going. The talk Liu Kang was dreading about. “I didn’t want to ruin our friendship. I thought if I confessed my feelings for you…you wouldn’t feel the same way.”
You understood. You too, despite your sarcastic quips, appreciated the friendship you had with Liu Kang and you didn’t want to take it away. “I come with a lot of baggage, Liu. Daughter of Quan Chi. Half demon and half human. Mad all the time. I mean in Kitana’s words I’m Earthrealms biggest problem.”
It was no secret that Kitana and you didn’t get along. Nobody really understood why but it was clear that the two of you didn’t like each other’s character.
The mention of Kitana made Liu Kang sigh. “Kitana does not know you like I know you. I love everything about you. All parts. Even the dark ones.” He cups your face, wanting you to take in everything he was saying. “There is not a line in the world that I wouldn’t cross for you. Not a time in your life I would not be there for you. Not a thing in this universe that can pull me away from you. You have been there for me when I could not be there for myself and I cherish that. I cherish all parts about you.”
Growing up in the Netherrealm and Earthrealm switching between both worlds, you hadn’t got much love. Ever. You were so scared of love. That it would ruin you. The way Liu Kang spoke sounded like he had all the love for you in the world. And that made up for everything.
It took a lot for you to cry. A lot. Somehow tears were falling down your face. “Are you trying to get me to fall in love with you? Because it’s working.”
Liu Kang chuckled a little. He gently wiped away your tears. “Love is kind, love is not selfish. It is beautiful. Love is not cowardice or cruel. Love is the very thing in the universe that binds you to that person. I want to be your person.”
Anything that came out of Liu Kang’s mouth, he made it sound good. “I want you to be my person too.”
Liu Kang’s eyes darted down to your lips. He licked his lips. He wanted nothing more than to taste your lips. Give in to it.
You decided to make the first move. You cupped the left side of Liu Kang’s face and kissed him. Liu Kang didn’t hesitate to kiss you back. It was like paradise. True and utter paradise.
You moved your lips in sync with each other. The kiss easily started to turn more sloppy but the passion was still there. You pushed Liu Kang lightly on the bed which he accepted. You got on top of him and began kissing all over his neck. Liu Kang moaned slightly at this. He shouldn’t have been shocked at how fast things were heating up. This was you.
He wanted to continue. He truly did but you were injured. “(Y/N), you’re still injured.”
Tou pulled away from his neck and looked at him directly in his eyes. “Which is precisely why I need a reward for all the bullshit I’ve been dealing with.” Your hands started to travel down to his black sweats. You started to rub him through the pants. “And I like this reward.”
Liu Kang didn’t think he would get used to her straightforwardness. You quickly leaned down and placed a soft kiss on his lips. “Then at least lay back and let me do all the work.”
“Fine. Take the fun out of it.” You flopped on his bed dramatically causing Liu Kang to let out a chuckle.
It wasn’t just because of your injury. He just wanted to please you. He got on top of you and unbuttoned your pants before pulling them down. Next to go was your underwear.
You were not expecting for Liu Kang to go in between your legs and start sucking your clit. You gasped at the the sudden pressure and tilted your head back.
Unfortunately, because you were so dominant you had never gotten the pleasure of getting eaten out. Not in your 2,000 years of living. So, this was a new experience with you. It also put you into a different position. A submissive one.
Liu Kang held your thighs tightly in place so you wouldn’t run away. He continued to devour your pussy like it was his favorite desert. Like it was made for him.
“Oh my fucking god. Yes. Yes. Oh god. Liu.”
It only made him work harder knowing he was pleasing you. He continued to suck your sensitive bud until you started to pull on his hair. He liked it but he took it as a sign that you needed a break from him sucking so he pulled away for a moment. He used his two fingers to start rolling your clit in circles in a certain speed.
“Oh shit. Oh my fucking god.”
Liu Kang gently kissed your breasts that fitted tightly in your bra. “You look so good like this, my love.” You were actually embarrassed by how submissive you felt. You started to cover your face. He quickly pushed your hands away with the hand that was free. “Don’t cover yourself. I want to see the most beautiful woman in the world cum on my fingers.”
Oh. My. God. Where the hell did this Liu Kang come from? You moaned at his words and cupped your breasts out of instinct. “Fuck, yes.”
Liu Kang rubbed in harsher and harsher circles knowing you could take it. He watched her as she fell apart on his bed. He felt his dick grow in his sweat pants and he practically thanked himself for wearing sweats instead of pants.
You felt yourself about to come undone. How the hell were you already about to cum? Usually it took you thirty minutes. An hour tops. “Oh my god. Oh my god. I’m about to cum.”
Liu Kang didn’t dare change his pace. “That’s it. You’re almost there.”
You tried to pull Liu Kang’s away. “I want to cum with you inside of me.”
Liu Kang couldn’t help but chuckle as he kissed you neck. He didn’t move his fingers from playing with her your. “Darling, you act like we can’t keep going after you cum right now.”
Because you stopped it slightly, your high had slowed up. “Oh my god. I’m so close.” You gripped Liu Kang’s arm for support.
“Breathe in and out.” He told you. “I got you.” He felt you dig into his arms with your nails. He loved the pain.
You listened to Liu Kang and breathed in and out. Your pleasure was overwhelming. You had never felt like this before and especially never this fast. “Fuck. Please. Please. Don’t stop.”
“You can do it. I know you can. Give it to me, my love.”
Liu Kang’s words edged you to the point of no return. “Oh yes. Liu Kang. Liu. Yes. I’m cumming. Fuck.”
Liu Kang felt your clit move and more juices flowed on fingers. He rode your orgasm out until you couldn’t anymore. Then he placed the fingers in his mouth and tasted you. “I did not know you were so nasty.” You told him.
He laughed a little at her words. “Did you enjoy it?”
“Enjoy it? Oh my god. No one has ever got me to cum that fast.”
Liu Kang smiled at you. “I’m glad.” He leans over you and places a small kiss on your lips. “All I want is to make you feel good.”
“You know I never had anyone go down on me.”
“They were not real men then.”
You laughed. You started reaching to his pants. “It’s your turn.”
He shook his head. “Another time. I just want to lay down with you right now.” Liu Kang covered you with the blanket and kissed you softly on the lips.
You were about to kiss him back but a quick knock came at the door and then the door opened.
“Hey, Liu Kang, Raiden wants us to-“ When Kung Lao walked in and seen the scene before him all he could do is laugh. “Wait a minute-“
You weren’t easily embarrassed but Liu Kang was. He face palmed himself as he knew he would not hear the end of it. “Oh no…”
“We’re you two…” Kung Lao trailed off.
“Technically he was having a meal-“ You spoke but was quickly cut of by Liu Kang.
“(Y/N)!”
“What? He asked.”
Kung Lao had laughed again. “Oh my god. And who’s to say I am not the greatest match maker of all time?”
Liu Kang motioned for him to get out. “Yes, yes, yes. Now go.”
“Alright, alright. I’m going. Just don’t let the monks find out.”
You raised a brow confused. “Why?”
With that, Kung Lao turns over to Liu Kang. “She doesn’t know?”
Liu Kang scratched the back of neck before explaining. “You swear to chastity when you become one.”
Your eyes widen at this statement. “Like no sex at all? That sounds like literal hell.”
“Well, you two have fun. And next time just lock the door.” Kung Lao says before leaving the room, shutting the door.
Liu Kang flops on his back. You looked down at him. “Did I make you become a bad monk?”
“The thoughts were in my head before it was done.” Liu Kang simply told you before bringing you closer to his chest.
He finally did it. He finally got the girl.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
the day started fine, you wake up in your shared bed next to Kung Lao, Liu Kang no doubt already out training
you had just come out of the bathroom, changed in your training uniform, and Kung Lao was sitting up in the bed, rubbing at his sleepy eyes
you make the mistake of getting too close to the bed because he grabs on to your wrist and drags you back into bed
he kisses at your neck, hands going to squeeze the plump of your ass, and you slap at his shoulder and struggle in his grip
he just chuckles and turns you over so you’re trapped between his arms and continues to kiss at your neck, undoing the top of your uniform with one hand and sneaking a hand into your panties
he mouths at your nipples, nipping at the bud gently while you scratch his back with your nails, trying to express your displeasure at having your day interrupted
but the whines spilling from your mouth contradict you, and Kung Lao continues to tease your nipples while rubbing slow circles on your clit
you’re grinding on his fingers, trying to get to your release, and your fingers are digging into his back as he sucks a dark hickey into your chest
suddenly, he retracts his hand from your hands, and you look at him in disbelief as your orgasm ebbs away
he winks at you and then gets out of bed to go and brush his teeth, laughing as you throw his own hat at him, and you’re left in the bed in disarray and disbelief
you consider getting yourself off right here and now, but you know the consequences would be too great if you do that: a wicked ass spanking and enough edging to last a lifetime
so you gather your thoughts, fix the top of your uniform, and head out to eat breakfast
once you’ve had your fill of some buns, you wind through the halls of the White Lotus Academy, making your way to the training grounds
suddenly, you’re pulled into one of the supply closets, and you rip your arm from the unknown person and push them away roughly, readying yourself in a fighting stance as you face your attacker
but, you relax when you just see Liu Kang, shirtless and sweaty from his morning workout
you pick up something from the shelf and throw it at the monk, heart beating like hell as you try to calm yourself, and he catches the item easily and places it back on the shelf
you also berate him, but he smiles at your scolding and shuts you up with a gentle kiss
you sigh into his mouth, and he cradles the back of your neck with one hand as the other trails down your back and squeezes at your ass appreciatively
the two of you make-out for a few minutes, and he turns you around so your back is now pressed firmly against the closet door
he slots his thigh between your legs, and you unconsciously grind into him, whining as he flexes the muscle against your already sensitive clit
you grind on his thigh for a while and can feel his dick hardening through the slack pants
he continues to kiss you lazily, groping at any bit of skin that he can find
Liu Kang then pulls away, lips pink and glossy, and pushes you down to your knees
you get the idea and pull down his pants enough to take out his dick, and you lick the vein on the underside of his cock
Liu Kang grips onto your hair tightly as you kiss up and down his dick before finally sucking on the tip, dipping your tongue into the slit
he bites his lip, cheeks flushed and eyes dazed, as his hips thrust forward into your mouth, and you start bobbing your head up and down his cock and rubbing your thighs together for some sort of friction
he can barely stay quiet, a small whimper slipping out of him every once in a while, as he grips onto your hair and watches your lips stretch around his dick
soon enough, he can’t control himself and starts fucking into your face, and you stay as still as possible and concentrate on not gagging as his dick hits the back of your throat
his thrusts grow more erratic, and you bring one of your hands up to fondle his balls
Liu Kang throws his head back and cums into your warm mouth, and you swallow it all, moaning around his dick and causing him to whine in overstimulation
once he’s finished, he pulls you up and kisses you, tasting himself in your mouth, and you moans into his mouth, rutting your hips against his and bringing yourself to the edge
but, he pulls away and pats down your hair, smoothing it to look presentable again, before pulling his pants up and opening up the closet door behind you
he drags you out into the hallway and escorts you to the training grounds to stretch and practice with the other monks
you’re in a daze as this happens, still strung up from the teasing from Kung Lao and now annoyed that Liu Kang had teased you with another orgasm
you shake it off as best you can, but your panties now cling to your clit and every time you move, you can feel the material drag roughly against your sensitive cunt
you’re on constant edge on day, Liu Kang and Kung Lao dragging you into various rooms throughout the day, teasing you till you can’t think but never letting you cum
by dinner, you can’t concentrate on anything else but the drag of your panties on your clit, and the unsatisfying buzz in your brain
you can’t think, can’t eat, can’t do anything but stare off into the distance because your brain is off somewhere else in space
when Liu Kang and Kung Lao drag you back to the room, you follow them blindly, mind stuck in a haze
Liu Kang brings you to the bed, laying you down on your back and kissing you sweetly, while Kung Lao sits in the corner and crosses his arms to watch
you whine into Liu Kang’s mouth, tears pricking at the edges of your eyes as you beg him for anything
you’ve been so on edge the entire day, and you’re willing to do anything
he whimpers into your skin, kissing your jawline and then moving down your neck as you grip onto the back of his head
he teases your tits for a bit, lavishing one nipple with attention before moving to the other one
his hands are gripping onto your your hips tightly, digging his fingertips in hard enough to leave bruises
finally, Liu Kang removes your uniform completely, throwing them onto the floor somewhere, and spreads your legs apart to rest on his shoulders and buries his face into your pussy like a starving man
you’re whimpering, throwing your head back in pleasure, as Liu Kang fucks you with his tongue, his nose grinding perfectly into your clit
but Kung Lao tells him to stop, and he does so, both of you whining in tandem as you both await for his order
Kung Lao tells you to look at who’s pleasing you, and you look down at Liu Kang
his eyes are dazed, face covered in your wetness, and Kung Lao tells him to continue
Liu Kang goes back to lapping at your pussy, switching between flattening his tongue against your sensitive clit and fucking into you with the tip of his tongue
you struggle to keep your eyes on the man, a red flush taking over your face, as the vibrations of his moans send shocks of pleasure through your clit
Liu Kang grinds his own hips into the mattress, too lost in the pleasure to hear Kung Lao coming up behind him
Kung Lao grabs onto Liu Kang’s hair, pulling his head away from your pussy, and Liug Kang lets out a broken moan, back arching impossibly deep
Kung Lao just tuts at the both of you and forces Liu Kang to get up onto his knees and then flips you so you’re on your hands and knees
Kung Lao gets in front of your face, taking his cock out and slapping his dick against your cheek
Liu Kang is behind you, and you can feel him desperately rubbing his dick between your folds, the head catching on your clit every few seconds
you rut your hips back, hoping for any more friction, but Kung Lao notices this and grips onto your hair and forces his cock down your throat
you moan around his dick as he starts fucking into your face, and you can hear Liu Kang let out a broken plea for him to please fuck you
Kung Lao tells him that he can do so, and Liu Kang thanks him as he sinks into your warm cunt
you whine, mind completely empty as the two men use you as a doll for their own pleasure
but it still isn’t enough, there isn’t any friction on your clit, Liu Kang too lost in his own pleasure, and you’re desperate for a release after an entire day of edging
Kung Lao notices how Liu Kang neglects your poor clit and tells Liu Kang to touch you, but the monk doesn’t seem to hear and continues fucking ruthlessly into your pussy while both his hands grip onto your plush hips
Kung Lao growls and pulls his cock out of your mouth to your disappointed whine, and the hat-wielder grabs at Liu Kang’s face to look at him and tells him to stop
the fire-wielder reluctantly slows down to a stop, biting his lip to prevent a whimper from escaping his throat
Kung Lao drags Liu Kang to the corner of the room, taking off Liu Kang’s headband and tying the monk’s hands behind his back and shoving your discarded panties into his mouth to work as a makeshift gag
he tells Liu Kang to sit and watch, telling him this is what he gets for being disrespectful to you and him
Kung Lao sits on the edge of the bed and pulls you over to sit in his lap, back flush against his chest and legs spread open by his own thighs
he lowers you onto his cock slowly, and you both let out a moan, Liu Kang can only whine into your panties as his dick leaks pre-cum
Kung Lao bounces you on his dick, rubbing your clit in rough circles and whispering praises into your ear
he tells you you’re doing so well for him, how you did so well throughout the day, how you’re so tight and wet around his fat dick, that you can cum whenever you want because you’ve been so good for the both of them
his words start growing dirtier, and he starts telling you how you love opening your legs like a whore, that you’re such an insatiable slut, that you love being a compliant little sex toy for him and Liu Kang
he grabs your chin with his other hand and forces to look at a teary Liu Kang in the corner, who is rutting his hips into the air, looking for some kind of friction so he can come
Kung Lao then pinches at your clit roughly, and you throw your head back, clenching down on Kung Lao’s dick as you squirt all over his dick
Liu Kang whimpers at the sight, pulling at his binds, desperate to suck on your clit and taste your juices
Kung Lao isn’t much more composed, his thrusts growing harsher as he watches you spasm in his arms and continues to pinch your clit despite your whines
he’s still fucking into you as you come down from your orgasm, and you let him bounce you like a fuck doll
soon enough, he’s coming inside of your pussy, and you feel warm and full, brain fuzzy and floaty as you let out a little pants to try and catch your breath
Kung Lao lifts you off his cock and lays you down onto the bed, watching the cum leak out of your pussy before shoving it back in with his long thick fingers
you whine and your hips twitch, but you let him do it
then you hear a muffled moan in the corner and lift your head up enough to see Liu Kang in the corner, his dick shooting spurts of cum onto the floor and his stomach
Kung Lao stalks over to the monk, slapping him directly in the face before grabbing his face and asking if he gave Liu Kang permission to cum
the fire-wielder shakes his head ‘no’ while small tears drip down his face
he unties Liu Kang, takes out his gag, pulls him off the floor, and throws him onto the bed and then tells you get on his face
your limbs feel like jello, but you manage to clamber up onto Liu Kang’s face, hovering a bit over the monk’s face
Kung Lao rummages through his personal drawer and pulls out a ring and slips it over Liu Kang’s dick and then pumps the monk’s dick back to full hardness, Liu Kang underneath you whining from the overstimulation
Kung Lao tells Liu Kang that he isn’t allowed to cum all night, and then he tells you to take your pleasure from him, that you can ride his face all night if you wanted to
you still hover over Liu Kang’s face unsure, but the monk pulls you onto his face, nose grinding into your clit and tongue desperately lapping at your pussy
Liu Kang brings you another earth-shattering orgasm, and you grip onto his hair tightly as you ride his nose
however, Liu Kang’s hips rut uselessly into the air as the cock ring prevents him from cumming
Kung Lao then tells him to keep on making you cum until he can cum, and you realize you’re in for a long night as Liu Kang sucks on your sensitive clit

Ignore this if you want but please a MK1 Tomas Vrbada x girlfriend Shy!Reader who’s a Earthrealmer and she’s friends with the earthrealmer gang (Liu Kang, Raiden, Kung Lao, Johnny , Kenshi) and part of Liu Kangs recruits? Like I can’t stop thinking about Tomas being a dad of a newborn twin sons who’s immediately mama boys, thanking shyreader while holding their sons for the first time, Tomas just deeply in love with her even tho they’re already dating
I am sleepy writing this so ignore the errors and how it’s kinda poorly written. I tried my best woooo
Tomas x Fem. Reader
Tomas first laid eyes on her when he and his brothers were visiting Liu Kang for a new mission and instructions. She was talking to Kenshi and Johnny and made eye contact with Tomas briefly before turning back to her conversation.
He wanted to know her more. He wanted to talk to her.
But he could not as he was required to accompany his brothers on a mission. One that determined the fate of the Lin Kuei and the brothers. Bi-Han had backstabbed the brothers while attempting to find out what Shang Tsung was up to. When they came back to the Wu Shi Academy, Liu Kang was disappointed in Bi-Han’s actions. How he was so easily convinced by Shang Tsung and his empty promises. He thought it would have turned out differently than in previous timelines.
Tomas was devastated, along with Kuai Liang. But they had to continue their lives and replace the Lin Kuei since Bi-Han had retracted the clan of being Earthrealm’s protectors. Creating a new clan with almost no recruits was difficult. It was only four of them: Tomas, Kuai Liang, Harumi, and Hanzo. The Grandmasters had hoped to build the Shirai Ryu somehow with more people, but it had its difficulties.
Smoke sees her again when Liu Kang invites them to Madame Bo’s. She is sitting between Raiden and Johnny, laughing and smiling at their banter. Tomas sat across from her, his gray eyes often shifting to look at her. She was gorgeous. Absolutely breathtaking. He could not help his heart swelling in his chest.
But after the betrayal, he had some hardships with trust. Trusting others. He was afraid they would backstab him just as Bi-Han did, and their true character would be exposed. A snake. Just like Sub-Zero.
He continued stealing glances at her until they locked eyes. She smiled shyly at Tomas and shifted in her seat out of nervousness. He smiled back at her. Kuai Liang noticed this and looked at her, and then Johnny was giving her a suggestive look which made her more embarrassed. It wasn’t until Raiden was side eyeing her that she excused herself to the restroom to combat the horrible redness that invaded her cheeks and her sweating.
She was very shy even among her friends who she had grown close to. Anytime eyes were laid on her, she blushed and sweat out of nervousness. She averted her gaze and sometimes it would get so bad she felt like she was suffocating.
Liu Kang told her she may have social anxiety but she just reasoned and said it was shyness. She was not used to being around so many people. Sometimes it could be very draining.
Tomas got up from the table as well to follow her and make sure she was okay. Plus, you never know what could happen in the bathroom. He waited for her patiently to come out and when she did, she accidentally ran into him.
“Oh I’m so sorry!” She stammered as she pulled away from Tomas.
Tomas smiled sweetly. “Do not apologize. I came to make sure you were okay. Are you feeling well?”
She blushed again. “I’m okay, I just get like this. It’s nothing to be worried about. Thank you, Tomas.”
Hearing his name from her lips made him feral on the inside. His heart was beating fast and that damned smile got wider on his face. “Of course. Shall we go back?”
He held out his arm which she linked hers within his. It was a small yet powerful gesture. One that would change their lives.
Liu Kang’s recruits, Kuai Liang and Harumi, as well as Liu Kang himself eyed the two as they walked back to the table. Liu Kang smiled to himself. Just like in every other timeline, they had found each other once again. That made him feel accomplished. After everything that went wrong within his timeline, he could at least relish in what he did good.
She tried her best to ignore their gazes but she felt the blush on her cheeks redden more. Tomas only smiled at them as they sat down in their seats.
Before the night ended, she and Tomas took a quiet walk where they talked more. She seemed much more comfortable when there wasn’t a lot of people around staring. She laughed more, she smiled more, she was comfortable with him. That made him excited. Excited for his potential future with her.
“I hope to do this again with you.” He said as they walked slowly. “You really are wonderful.”
As if she could not blush any more, her cheeks darkened and she bashfully looked down. “I hope so too, Tomas. I really like talking to you and being around you.”
This was the nicest thing he had heard from someone else other than Kuai Liang. He was used to insults from Bi-Han, some stinging more than others, but her praises made his heart swell more. He felt the fluttering in his chest.
He walked her to her home that night, and after she said goodbye, she kissed him on the cheek. As shy as she was, she made the first move. He grinned as she waved goodbye as soon as she reached the front door and entered her home.
When Smoke wasn’t busy, he visited her. He brought her flowers, gifts, and took her out to dinner often. He invited her for dinner at the Shirai Ryu temple. She also invited him to dinner at her home which Tomas enjoyed as he got a break from the temple. Not that he minded, but being with her in her home was comforting. Her tortoiseshell cat adored Tomas and was very friendly to him. If he was having a bad day, he knew to go to her house to cheer up.
After some time of the puppy love, Tomas asked her the question.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” He asked her one night as they stared up at the stars.
She was quiet at first which did not ease his beating heart, but she spoke eventually. “Yes, of course I will be. You make me very happy, Tomas, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
He let out the breath he was holding and intertwined his hand with hers. “As I do too, Y/N. You are my whole world.” They continued to gaze at the stars before he gently grabbed her face and kissed her. It was like fireworks exploded in her chest.
The couple were inseparable as Tomas took her everywhere he went. Besides missions, of course. Eventually, she moved in with Tomas at the temple where Kuai Liang gladly accepted her. He was joyous to see that Tomas had found someone who loved him very much. The Czech man needed that in his life after being shunned for most of it.
Marriage came quick, but that was because of how deeply in love they were. She and Tomas were very certain that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. There was no doubt about it. She was the light in his world, and after many years of trying to be loved and accepted, he was absolutely loved by her. She adored him. Her eyes were so full of love when she looked at him. The same went for Tomas.
Tomas was very patient with her as he did not want to make her uncomfortable, especially when it came to not doing things she wanted to do. When they first made love, Tomas was nervous due to not wanting to hurt her. He knew that it would be painful, and he hated to see her in pain. Although a few tears slipped down her face, he kissed her so gently and caressed her body to distract her. He was as gentle as he could be. He waited without any hesitation and went as slow as possible for her.
Their first time together was memorable. She was a virgin, unknown to any touch, and Tomas was happy to be her first. Not in a weird possessive way, just happy that he was able to give her the first time that she deserved.
Her pregnancy did not come right away, in fact, it took some time before she got pregnant. Tomas had always offered to wear a condom, but she insisted on him not wearing one. Almost every night, he spilled his seed deep inside her, and she didn’t waste a drop. She knew that she was ready to be a mother. She was waiting for the day that it came. Tomas was so loving and sweet to her, how could she not want to bear his children?
Gagging and throwing up into the toilet, Tomas gently held her hair back as he watched her throw up. He was worried for her. He thought maybe she was ill, so he took her to the Shirai Ryu med bay. He explained the situation before they took her away to ask more questions. He was allowed to follow her as he was the Grandmaster.
“When was the first day of your last period?” The nurse asked her as she took her blood pressure.
“Uh, I think it was July 11th.” She responded in a daze.
The nurse looked up at her. “It’s October 16th. We need to run tests on you.”
The testing ensued as Tomas held her hand. He had hoped she was okay, but part of him also hoped she was pregnant. She had to have been. With her morning sickness and her emotions, it had to have been it. But he wasn’t a doctor, so he did not know.
After more testing, they eventually agreed to do an ultrasound. That would give them an answer straight away. As she was prepped and the jelly was put on her stomach, Tomas gave her a reassuring smile as they both watched the screen.
“Congratulations!” The doctor said as he watched as well. “You are having… oh my…”
She and Tomas both looked at the doctor worriedly. “What is it?”
“You are having twins.”
They were baffled, but as soon as they were finished with a few more checkups and advice for the pregnancy, Tomas picked her up and spun her around. “I cannot believe it! We are having twins!” He gave her a big kiss on her cheek as she smiled and blushed. “I cannot wait. We must tell Kuai Liang and Harumi soon!”
They decided to wait a little bit to tell Liang and Harumi as they wanted to know the genders before telling them. Tomas was so excited. So excited that he was planning the nursery with her and envisioning his life in the future. With twins, whether it was two girls, two boys, or a girl and a boy, Tomas did not care. He was just overjoyed to have babies on the way with the loveliest women in all the realms.
After one of their important appointments, they finally found out they were having twin boys. Tomas could not stop kissing her after finding out this important information as he felt his heart swell up more. He loved her so much. It made him want to cry.
She had hidden her pregnancy away from Kuai and Harumi with oversized clothing, but now it was time to break the news to them. Eating dinner together, Tomas grabbed her hand and interlocked it as he cleared his throat.
“We have something to tell you.” Tomas said as he smiled wide. Kuai Liang looked up and Harumi’s eyes were wide.
“We have twin boys on the way.” Tomas’ wife said quietly as she felt herself getting shy.
Kuai Liang’s mouth was slightly agape as Harumi grinned and clapped. “Oh my Gods! Congratulations!”
“Twin boys,” Kuai said in almost awe. “How wonderful that is. We are so happy for you both.” He quirked a smile as well. Tomas chuckled as he gently rubbed his thumb along his wife’s hand. This was the family he had always wanted. Although Bi-Han was not here to join them, he was happy that he had Kuai and Harumi still, along with his wife.
The rest of the pregnancy went by quickly as Y/N’s bump got bigger and it was beginning to become difficult to do much. Her bump was large and weighed on her back heavily. Tomas did everything he could to alleviate her pregnancy discomfort, but she was absolutely ready to pop these boys out of her. As the day of labor approached, her anxieties increased but she was excited. She did not know how childbirth would be, but she hoped that it went smoothly.
Childbirth did not ever go so smoothly, especially with twins. Her contractions were extremely painful despite how much Tomas rubbed her back or tried comforting her. They wracked her body as she moved into different positions in order to alleviate the discomfort.
The doctors and nurses continued checking her dilation until she was ready to give birth. Which eventually came, making many medical professionals run into the room to help her deliver. She gripped Tomas’ hand hard as she gritted her teeth to begin pushing. It was overwhelmingly painful, and she let out grunts and groans of pain. Tomas felt bad while watching her give birth. She was sweating and she looked faint. But she was still the more beautiful woman in the world to him. He supported her and told her how proud he was of her and how good she was doing. She panted, but she flashed a small, nervous smile at Tomas who returned it back.
The first boy came out crying as the nurses began to wipe him down and lay him on her chest. She cried as she held the first twin close to her while Tomas shed tears of his own. He was so happy, so proud. The second twin came out not long after and was placed on the other side of her chest while doctors began to clean up and also allowed Tomas to cut the umbilical cords. They rested on her chest after being wrapped up and fed from her as everyone began to clear out from the room which left her, Tomas, and their babies.
“They are so beautiful.” Tomas said as his eyes shed more tears.
She smiled at him with her eyes full of her own tears. “They are. I love them so much. I love you, Tomas.”
“I love you more, my wisp.”
After they had fed and were sleeping peacefully, Tomas held both of his sons to his chest. “I will forever protect you all. You are my life.” He looked at his tired wife he was beginning to doze off. “And thank you so much for the life you have given me. Since the day I met you, I have loved you. Thank you for being so kind to me, and thank you for mothering our sons.”
She felt another flood of emotions as tears fell down her face. Tomas gently wiped them away with a free hand. “Thank you, my love. The same goes for you. I do not know what I would do without you or our sons. I love you all.”
He kissed her before she fell asleep completely. His sons curled close to him as he admired them. They were a mix between Tomas and Y/N.
They were now his life. His family. He had a family of his own now. He could make things right again. And not make the same mistakes as he did when he was a child.

sharing an unedited snippet bc the painkillers are kicking in and idc anymore
“Maybe we should just leave,” he says with a sigh. He’s been suggesting it for the past half-hour. “Go find Gojo-sensei.” Yuji’s already drifted off. He’s still got plenty of cash to burn. Well, Gojo’s cash, but he was gifted it to have some fun, right? The 80s-style carpet swallows Fushiguro’s protests chasing after his footsteps as he browses the array of cabinets on display. Most of them are either out-of-order or dysfunctional, their screens flickering with nonsense displays. He passes a Mortal Kombat cabinet, where Scorpion is permanently glitched in the middle of impaling Liu Kang. The screen is split horizontally one third from the bottom, giving the appearance of Liu Kang’s body being cut in two. On his left, another cabinet shows Pac-Man being ambushed by ghosts, only to finally be caught by Clyde. The preview starts up again and Pac-Man is off, mindlessly chomping down on every pellet in his path. The pellets twitch and suddenly they’re fingers. Yuji does a double take. Pac-Man swallows a pellet - a regular, yellow pellet - and then a powerup, and then the hunt is on. “Itadori, let’s g- are you okay?” Yuji tears his eyes away from the screen, now just urging him to insert a coin. In the distance, Kugisaki’s heading to the escalator. His eyes focus on Fushiguro, whose mossy gaze, rippling with concern, sets every point of his skin on fire. Yuji chuckles sheepishly, running his hand through the prickly regrowth on the back of his scalp. “Can we stay a little longer?” he pleads. “I wanna see what else they’ve got.” Fushiguro’s feathery brows pull together. “Are you sure? Because you look freaked out.” Yuji watches the carpet go dark and light under the scrubbing of his boot. “I just thought I saw something.” The air between his body and his clothes is becoming unbearably humid under Fushiguro’s intense stare. He’s been doing that a lot lately. Just… staring. Like he expects Yuji to drop dead again. “Fushiguro, I’m fine,” he wants to say. Sometimes his mind bursts with the image of him pressing Fushiguro’s hand to his chest to feel his heart thumping away in there, saying “Look, look! I’m alive! I’m alive!” But then his heart starts beating a little too fast and Yuji knows Fushiguro would feel it too and then he’d know. The thought sears Yuji’s cheeks and he turns away from the light, away from Fushiguro. He wants him to leave with Kugisaki so that he can explore the games in peace. But it’s kind of dark up here and some of the lights are flickering and he’s a little scared to be alone. Come on, say something. “Fine.”

“...Maybe you should have waited before barging in.”
“How was I to know!?” Shen Yuan screams from his high perch. His foot slips and he scrambles for a better grip on the rock as Liu Qingge makes an aborted motion forward. He’s currently hanging from a ledge, where a particularly pecky raven demon had dropped him after seeing him in her nest. What, it wasn’t his fault he was there, was it? It was just that one of the little chicks was going to swallow one of the jewel shards and he wanted to get there before it transformed!! Liu Qingge and Luo Binghe might not have had any qualms against killing a baby, but he very much did, thank you!! His morals haven’t deserted him completely yet!!!!
Nevertheless, he’s left hanging from an increasingly perilous ridge as his skirt flutters in the wind. Really, that’s just the cherry on top, huh? Not only is Binghe off fighting the engorged mother Raven (who just had to inhale the Jewel shard) so he can’t jump up and grab him, but he’s going to be flashing Liu Qingge of all people. Ah, what a fantastic day.
Looking down, he can see Liu Qingge averting his gaze hastily, probably in disgust. Shen Yuan promises it’s not his fault, okay?? His sister bribed him into cosplaying for her before he came here, and it’s not like he has another change of clothes on him!!
Visibly gritting his teeth, Liu Qingge shouts up at him without looking, “You’re going to have to jump!”
“I AM NOT JUMPING!” Shen Yuan all but screams. “I will splatter on the ground, Liu-shidi! I am not some godly demon that can just land on his feet!!”
He can see Liu Qingge roll his eyes. Bitch!?
“I will catch you!”
“How are you going to catch me without looking!?”
Shen Yuan braves another glance down, but the vertigo makes him dizzy and he grips his bloody fingers tighter on the slim ledge.
“Just-” Liu Qingge cuts himself off when he looks up again, a rougher flush lighting up his handsome features, before shaking his head resolutely and staring up at him again. “Just trust me, okay? I’ll catch you. I promise.”
Shen Yuan squeezes his eyes shut. Oh god, his heart is beating even harder!! Why does he trust this fighting-obsessed idiot? Is he really going to do this? Just… let go and trust Liu Qingge to catch him? He risks another glance down, only to see his Liu-shidi staring at him, flushed and brazen and faithful.
Oh, god.
Another breath, and he lets go.
A small scream escapes his throat before it’s smothered by the rushing air. His stomach is left behind, and he curls up like a pill bug in the air, awaiting impact. His breath is torn out of his chest by a sudden collision from the side, and strong arms wrap around him, pressing him firmly into Liu Qingge’s chest.
He can feel Liu Qingge hit the ground, skidding to a stop on one knee as he holds him tighter. Liu Qingge pants into Shen Yuan’s ear, huffing out a pained groan.

Bigger than you Thought
A little something I got the desire to write about. This is also a small gift to @helsensm for not only their art, but their lovely contribution to the MK fandom. Will always love your work (especially the Railoa, gotta keep me fed)
Characters: Raiden, Mentions of Fire God Liu Kang & Kung Lao
Word Count: 1,036
He needed to get away from the training, the classes, the people, everything. Raiden wasn't sure why his chest became uncomfortably tight, why his breathing was steadily increasing to the point of hyperventilating. He couldn't focus, his mind going this way and that as new worries arose from seemingly nowhere. The farm boy was fidgeting, rapidly bouncing on his right foot as growing anxiety finally took over him. He quickly asked Lord Liu Kang to excuse him, claiming he needed to relieve himself. And in a way, he wasn't lying. Getting some air, finding a quiet spot in the already still Wu Shi Academy, and having a moment to sort out his thoughts is a way to alleviate oneself.
Raiden finds a spot under a cherry blossom tree. There are other shady plants he could retreat to, but cherry blossoms always held a special place for the thunder wielder. A tree that symbolizes beauty and life, its soft pink & white hues, and the fact that it reminds him of home. Fengjian had a lone cherry blossom he and Kung Lao would hang under since the day they first met as children. It was their safe haven away from home, their play spot, their confessional booth.
Raiden stares at the pink flowers swaying in the wind, slowly picking themselves apart as their petals flutter to the ground and occasionally littering itself on Raiden. The thunder wielder practices his breathing exercises in an attempt to calm himself. Breathe in, count to 10, breathe out, and repeat. Raiden closes his eyes, honing his senses to the serene environment around him, and before he knew it, the weariness ebbs away. But the bones of the anxious beast were left behind.
Raiden opens his eyes and lets out a long exhale through his nose, looking out to the mountainous horizon before him.
He was appointed as Earthrealms champion a few days ago. Raiden thought he was anxious about this whole Mortal Kombat ordeal. Learning about the various realms, the essential players of said respected realms, and the shared history that strung these worlds together, Raiden remembers being overwhelmed by such knowledge. But those feelings before paled in comparison to the mighty responsibility that was now bestowed upon him. He's expected to represent Earthrealm and to fight for its protection. This isn't a situation like the friendly sparring moments he and Kung Lao shared in an attempt to impress their elderly teacher or to settle a childish conflict. Billions of lives were at stake should he fail. Billions who will never know the impact of his position but will suffer for it regardless if he were to lose this tournament.
And as much as Raiden tried to convince himself that possible war wasn't going to become an immediate instance, the fear still struck his heart. What will happen to Fengjian should it get invaded? What of his family? How would he protect them should Outworld choose to push further conflict with Earthrealm? Would Earthrealm even stand a chance against a nation that's grounded in mysticism and bizarre technology? Would such a war even last long enough for it to matter?
All of these variables that could happen, all because of a hypothetical scenario, should Raiden fail in his position. Not a day goes by where Raiden contemplates giving his title as the Champion of Earthrealm to someone else, someone who is worthier of the position than a simple farm boy. Doubts of his capabilities bubbled to the surface since he defeated the other Earthrealm candidates. Was he truly that skilled in his craft, or was it dumb luck that he was able to beat a Hollywood star, a yakuza, and his childhood best friend? Before that moment, he always, ALWAYS, fell short behind Kung Lao. He was stronger, faster; he was everything that inspired Raiden. Yet, in the moment where he should've lost, he won. Perhaps it was pure adrenaline that pushed him to reach higher than Kung Lao. Then again, this position was not something he was desiring after.
It was always the same thought, "I'll ask Lord Liu Kang to reconsider my position as Earthrealm's Champion. There must be someone better equipped for this." And every time Raiden thinks he's going to speak up, to express his concerns and desire to not have this weight on his shoulder, he can't help but sew his mouth shut.
As much as this responsibility scares him, it also strengthens him. Raiden knows the burden of duty, even if it isn't as dramatic as the situation he was placed in. His dedication to his village, his job, his family, all of this he carried on his shoulders with no complaint, and he was ready to become its protector and provider. Should Lord Liu Kang never approached him with the offer to become Earthrealms guardians, Raiden would've spent his entire life in Fengjian, content that he was making a difference there, even if he was small and "insignificant."
Becoming a Champion of Earthrealm was no different. There were moments when Raiden soothed himself by bringing his focus not on Earthrealm as a whole but on Fengjian. When he forced his mind to contemplate only on Fengjian, the people he knew there, the family that lived there, and the memories he made there, then his position was no longer about being a defender to untold billions. It was about helping his village thrive, keeping his family safe, and becoming the shining example of an Earthrealmer to those who would doubt the realm's capability to protect itself.
"Raiden! There you are!"
The thunder wielder jumps out of his skin as Kung Lao calls out to his friend, accompanied by Johnny and Kenshi.
"Well, well, well, I never thought I would ever see the day that YOU, of all people, would be attempting to skip on his lessons," Kung Lao cooingly jests as he places his hands on his hips, cocky smile plastered on his face. "What, Earthrealms Champion is now above sitting in Lord Liu Kangs lectures?"
Raiden didn't realize that he was outside for that long, a bashful shade of red creeping up on his face. "No, no, it's not what-I...I just needed some air."

It’s gonna just be the generals telling things to MK giving us little flashbacks
I really started to think thaaat maaaybe I should start like using AO3 so even the people on Twitter can read the stuff that I write here- I just don’t know how it works
This is going to be a long one
Anyway enjoy
(No worries the boy guilt it’s not even slightly erased)
-
MK found himself frozen on door step unable to enter the room.
His vision was gold once more, he really couldn’t get used to it, but in that moment it allowed him to see a limp figure on the bed…. His torso was all covered in bandages as well as other part of his body.
Chest slowly rising and falling back down…
He was breathing. He was alive.
His Dad, liu’er mihou was alive.
Marshal Ma told Xiaotian that his dad had a really close call, that he lost his will to fight for a brief moment, Ma didn’t go in details she just said to him that the six eared macaque was a strong warrior and he wouldn’t have let himself go… not yet.
Yes…macaque owns the boy some explanations.
That’s why he asked to see his son…or maybe he just wanted to talk to him one last time.
When general Beng came to tell the boy that his father wanted to see him, he was so happy!
it meant that his dad was awake and fine!
It meant that he could talk to him, hugging him!
…apologize to him…
But when he found himself to enter the room… a wash of guilt went over him.
If he only had listened to his father … None of this would have happened.
He freed Sun Wukong, he had been tricked by the monkey that he considered a close friend, having spent with him as much time as he did with his father…. Because of this the six eared macaque engaged battle, what a battle, so ferocious that it almost leveled up flower fruit mountain.
How many monkeys died and how many lost members of their families and it was all his fault, the boy couldn’t even look the other monkeys… it was his fault
And it was his fault that his father was now like this… he took the hit that was directed at the prince…
that- again was his fault
He had been too reckless , Ma told him not to go…not to remove the golden seal.
he let his guard down, he felt ashamed, he was trained by the six eared macaque, a great warrior and the monkey king himself… “a warrior never lets his guard down” ,his father words ringing in his ears over and over again.
He was such a failure… as a student, as a friend, as a prince…
…as a son.
“Xiaotian…” it was almost a whisper, a quiet request, but the boy heard it. He felt his heart drop…
of course dummy! If liu’er mihou was awake he must had heard your stupid heartbeat.
His father always kept an ear out for his son heart beat, no matter what he was doing, so he knew that the boy was safe.
“Xiaotian… please…” his dad called a second time, at this point Ma, who had been at the king side all the time, turned to face the boy, a sad smile on her face; marshal Liu was also there but he hadn’t bothered to face the boy.
Xiaotian didn’t find the strength to move tho…
Instead of calling his son a third time, macaque tried to get up, immediately regretting it as he was stopped by a shock of pain and nausea that made him growl painfully.
Once more his dad was in pain and it was his fault.
Xiaotian’s legs didn’t hold him anymore forcing him to hold himself on the side of the door.
He couldn’t do it-
he couldn’t face his father after all he had done, after all he had done to him; he couldn’t see his father die.
He felt lost
he didn’t know what to do without his father…. He couldn’t do anything if not run away as far as his weak legs allowed him to go.
“NO! …please…” macaque was breathing heavily, trying to get up surprisingly took a lot out of him… a bit too much, Ma was really concerned, her king was healing so sooo slow, it wasn’t normal.
She caressed the king face once more before being stopped by him who wanted to get up once more “I need … I need to talk to him…please, it’s not his fault…” he kept Ma hand in place “I will go.” Said liu as he stood up “I will go and bring him to you” “ thank you” was the only thing macaque could whisper as his marshal left the room.
Liu soon found Xiaotian leaning on a wall, hugging himself, crying.
he didn’t blame the kid… anyone would be overwhelmed by the situation, the monkey just sat next to the prince “ I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry “ it was all the boy could say at the moment .
liu just sighed hugging the boy with one arm keeping him close “I never wanted things to go like this- I can’t believe how stupid I was! I trusted him over you guys and I believed him, OVER MY FATHER!” Xiaotian was sobbing so hard gripping his arms so much that he actually was able to break his skin, liu just gently took the prince hands in to his to prevent him from hurting himself more as he hugged the prince even tighter.
The boy just let himself cry in liu harms then he spoke again “he didn’t deserve any of this- it should have been me…”
Liu kept caressing the boy hair “it’s the job of father protect his family as is the job of a king to protect his subjects”
“I don’t want him to die” xiaotian got closer to the monkey looking for comfort, Liu was also worried but he was able to put out a sweet smile and say “he will make it…Ma is - Ma is the best healer on flower fruit mountain and monkey ki- liu’er… had been through worst…” liu squeezes the boy as he says this.
Liu wasn’t sure to believe that himself, it was true, but the only man who actually killed macaque once, is the same that inflicted him that wound now, a wound that was too slowly healing.
Too slowly
The best that Liu could do now was to get back the boy to his father.
“I don’t think you remember but… When you were 2 or 3 a ferocious demon came to reclaim flower fruit mountain, macaque thought he could have handled it all by himself, and he did!” Liu paused looking at the boy who was still crying but also listening to him very carefully “it must have been poisonous or something because your father felt Ill for 3 days straight, you never wanted to leave his side, we had to take you by force to at least make you eat”
————
it happened in that specific occasion that once the king woke up and realized that he had been out for three days, he started panicking, sun wukong was the only thing he could mumble about.
If macaque was out none had gone taking care of sun wukong and the clones he left with him were obviously vanished, even if weakened macaque tried with all his strength to run to the ex-king, scaring the little Xiaotian in his rage, the generals had to find a way to keep him down.
He must still be delirious… is what they thought
Oh but macaque did manage to go to sun wukong, still too weak , he passed out as he hugged the golden monkey.
When they went to retrieve the monkey king, the generals were actually scared of the stare that their ex king gave to them, it was the first time they could actually see their ex king since….
they weren’t sure if sun wukong was actually protecting, as he could, his former mate, but the monkey must have recognized them and the situation cuz he didn’t move when the generals took macaque away.
Liu noticed how the wall ,where the chain of his left wrist were positioned, was cracked; liu couldn’t imagine what type of strength the ex-king had to pull out to only do that.
He wanted to reach for his partner… maybe he wanted to see if he was alright, maybe he wanted to finish the job.
——————
As liu got back to the present he decided to leave this part of the story out and actually continue to comfort the boy.
“Even when he was younger, your father was a real warrior…. Flower fruit mountain didn’t always need this kind of protection or an army, just the feeling of the immense power that wukong had was enough to keep anyone at bay” xiaotian quickly turned to face the marshal, it was the first time someone actually talked about sun wukong-
Without hiding him behind a powerful mighty hero, as his father did, or under speculation or theories as Tang did..
“But the great king wanted something more” Liu smiled “ he left us for the first time… we were sure that he would have eventually come back but… an evil demon king, the demon king of confusion, won over us… oh Xiaotian we weren’t trained to fight yet, but your father ,who always trained with wukong , tried to protect us as much as he could but even he eventually fell prisoner of the demon king , with many others…” Liu gripped his tunic as he continued, the memory must have been really painful to him. “Ma was there too…macaque continued to protect the others ,it took a lot” liu emphasized the last word “ to break him… but eventually sun wukong did come back and rescued all the monkeys. Your father got over it and became the mightiest and strongest warrior of the king, always at his right.”
Liu giggled “ ah don’t get me started of how many times liu er mihou took hits that were directed at the king, even if he knew that wukong could take them ‘a warrior defends his king’ is what he always said to him and us” he paused, Maybe liu would have liked to add something more but he thought that it was macaque choice to tell everything to the kid.
The marshal sighed again “ he always manages to get back on his feet, this time Won’t be different, I promise. He wouldn’t leave you… even if you are a big cub now and you don’t need him anymore”
The boy hugged himself “ I think I will always need him…”
Liu smiled as he got up “ and he needs you now” he led him a hand “c’on…” Xiaotian was still “I’m sorry…” “I know.”
They slowly got back to macaque room, ma was still there at the king side.
How long have they been away? An hour? Two? Did macaque waited for his son for so long?
Beng and ba also arrived, the second one also had bandages on him ; he was the one that came out the more hurt of their fight; the boy felt the guilt in his heart once more but Ba reassured him, smiling softly and tilted his head motioning him to go.
Xiaotian looked at the 3 generals one last time before he entered the room, Ma smiled at him and then left, leaving father and son alone.
There was silence for a whole minute, macaque breathing was the only thing the boy could hear over the sound of his racing heartbeat.
He’s breathing. He’s alive.
It was the only MK could say to calm himself.
Then he grabbed his dad hand, after a few seconds the monkey squeezed it in return.
He was alive.
“Hey…” said the boy “…hey” whispered the monkey.
Macaque made room for his son, who slowly laid down, careful not to hurt his father as he hugged him.
the king started to caress the prince hair “ you used to love it when you were a kid” his voice low and rough, Xiaotian was holding in the tears “I still love it and I’m still a kid” “ you are…” indeed he was.
It was his kid.
Silence filled the room once more
“Dad- I’m sorry-“
“No! it’s true you disobeyed me but… it’s my fault, when I noticed what wukong was doing to you it was already too late, I shouldn’t have allowed it to happen, I shouldn’t have allowed both you and him to suffer like that…” tears falling from the king’s eyes “I wish that between all this powers there would be one to go back in time and fix all this” the boy said trying to light up the mood “ no- no please don’t give Buddha any ideas, I can’t even imagine what damage that silly monkey could have done with that kind of power “ but liu’er laugh quickly turned into a painful coughing.
He could feel the blood in his mouth.
He felt the boy hold him tighter “can you tell me about him… like the real sun wukong, can you tell me about you two…please?”
It was only fair …macaque owned the boy an explanation.
Talking about wukong wasn’t hard as macaque though, he just let himself go in memories both good and bad and told them to his son; they talked a lot, maybe too much…
But macaque felt a lot lighter…
Wukong was free… finally he was free.
Their home, flower fruit mountain, was as glorious as the old days
He could hold and caress his son one last time…
He was so tired but… at peace in a way.
His caress got a lot slower, he was slowly drifting into the darkness
“Dad?” Xiaotian must have noticed his father suddenly going quiet, his breathing going slower as well as his caress “ I’m…I’m really tired Xiaotian…” panic started to build in the boy heart once more “dad…if you go to sleep…will you wake up again?” The black monkey took a few moments to answer “ …I’m sorry, I’m just so… so tired” the boy felt his father body slowly going limp
No no no no
The boy hugged his father so tight that the pain it caused to the monkey actually brought him back to reality “ please dad, please you can’t leave me now! I need you! There are so many things that we still have to do together! You can’t abandon me, not you too please…” the boy was crying, macaque hated to see his son cry .
and he hated the thought of this being the last time that could hold him close.
He didn’t want to let go .
The six eared macaque really is a strong warrior.
As nothing had happened the monkey went back to caressing his son hair, until it was Xiaotian the one that fell asleep…

How would Sully, Jeff and Jason react if their partner was stabbed on a mission to save them? (survived but seriously injured)
As if Y/N had pushed them to save them from the blow and they had received it
(with Jason maybe it was to prevent him from damaging his music box)
remember that we love you
I write nice fluff this morning and then dive right into angst, I guess it's that kinda day. Love you guys too <3
Sully:
He can feel the scream erupting from his throat before he even knows he's going to, feels his heart stopping, his breath catching as he reaches out to grab you, catching you as he finishes off the person that landed a hit on you. Sully is a protector. He protected Liu for all those years, and now he's sworn himself to protect you, but how can he claim that title if he's so sloppy that you felt the need to jump in front of him? It crushes his heart, knowing you care so much for him that you'd take a lethal hit for him, and as he rushes you back to the mansion for emergency care he's screaming and crying and lecturing you on how you should never do something like that. When you just smile up at him and say you wanted to protect him because you loved him he lets loose another bout of tears and screams, just holding onto the fact that you're still alive. He hovers over you constantly, refusing to leave your side until he's completely assured you'll survive, and even then, standing by you as your guardian.
Jeff:
Jeff feels as though time has slowed to a standstill. He can see the knife plunging into you in slow motion, he can hear your scream, but he can't move, can't will his feet to spring into action, and he's just willing himself as hard as he can to break out of the trance he's in. Eventually, he moves, forcing himself forward in a lunge and dealing a deadly blow to the target, finishing them off before he rushes over to you, clinging you to his chest, asking you if you're okay, what the hell were you thinking, are you stable, just rushing over all the worst case scenarios at once. You end up being the one to calm him down, getting him to chill enough to help you get home, and he's just beating himself up the whole time, and it takes your words of encouragement to get him to stop blaming himself for the entire situation. He can't bring himself to look at you, but he also can't tear himself away from you, scared if he leaves your side you might really disappear.
Jason:
Jason is a man of control. He manipulates every single situation to be beneficial to him, always in control of every single variable, never letting things leave his field of expectations. So, then... Why did this happen? Why does he see your blood flowing through the air at the same time he found himself at a disadvantage? The second he sees the red fluid spraying through his surroundings, he's kicking his powers into full force, obliterating any enemies in the area at once all while catching you and holding you gently, tears of shock and anger flowing down his face as he holds you. He warps you home immediately, rushing you to his workroom as he sets about fixing up your injuries. He's silent the whole time until he finishes, breaking as sobs leave him about how foolish you are, how he loves you too dearly for you to sacrifice yourself like that, but he can't stay mad as you look at him with such love filled eyes, happy he himself is safe. He truly can't handle the grasp you have on his nonexistent heart.

Mortal Kombat 11 x reader: Chapter 12 End of an era
That person is Liu Kang, but he has drastically changed in appearance. He appears fully human, but his hair is now grey, his eyes glowing electric blue, his tattoos generating electricity and his body generating flames. Raiden's hat is on his back, and his trousers now have a blue shade on them as opposed to red. His bandanna is now metallic and he wears a necklace of beads.
Liu Kang stands to his feet, looking at his outstretched hands, in awe at his new powers. He closes them into fists and puts them back down at his side.
Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Jax all begin to walk forward. Kung Lao teleports onto the deck from his ship and Kitana jumps over from hers, landing next to Kharon. All of them take in the sight of the radically changed Liu Kang.
"Liu Kang?" Asked Sub-Zero "I am..." Liu Kang begins to say before he stops pulsating with electricity and fire, but his eyes are now bright blue, as are his tattoos. "...And I am not" "What happened to Raiden?" Asked Jax "He is part of me. Bound to my soul. He... made me a god. For now, at least" Liu Kang replies
"A god? Incredible" Kitana commented "My revenant counterpart. I have absorbed his knowledge of the Keep, of Kronika's plan. I know where to find the hourglass. We can beat Kronika" Said Liu Kang "Is Lady (Name) and Calithea safe?" Kung Lao asked worried "They both are unharmed. Lady (Name) is chained and cuffed as is Calithea" Liu Kang Replied.
Back in Kronika's Keep, both she and Cetrion look upon the chair that once bound Liu Kang. Kronika is wide-eyed and more perplexed than we have ever seen her before "Out of desperation comes invention. I had not thought it possible for Raiden to surprise me" Says Kronika as she addresses Cetrion without even looking at her "Our success is no longer certain. We must make haste"
They walk back to the hourglass and begin manipulating the sands once again all the while (Name) watches them as she holds Calithea close to her chest.
Back on the shoreline, Kharon's flagships have almost reached land. Waiting for them is the Netherrealm army, and the oni demons roar in anticipation and charge the shoreline. The ships continue forward, not decelerating in the slightest.
"BRACE FOR IMPACT!" yelled Kharon.
The flagship touches down on the shore without issue. A boarding plank is lowered as the Netherrealm army reaches the ships. Before the demons can climb up it, Sub-Zero slides down, using his ice reaches powers to freeze the ground beneath him and the demons below him. He lands on the shoreline and uses an ice axe to chop a frozen demon into shattered remains, then immediately decapitates another one.
Scorpion teleports from the ship deck in a burst of flame, coming out in the midst of the army, sending several onis into the air in flames. He punches down one oni, then rips the heart out of another.
The ship containing the Special Forces crashes into a dock, smashing it into a splintered ruin. With a loud cheer, the vanguard runs down the boarding plank. Three soldiers on deck chuck grenades at the army, which blow up and kill several demons in one go. More demons charge as Cassie, Jacqui and the younger Jax zipline down to the shore. The oni charging them are cut into bloodied strips by the firepower of Jax's assault rifle, Jacqui's wrist cannons and Cassie's pistols.
Another ship crashes onto the shoreline, and Kung Lao and the Shaolin monks all acrobatically leap off the ship, landing expertly on the ship's large oars on its starboard side. They run across the oars and touch down on the ground to face the Netherrealm army. Kung Lao drops an oni with a jumping spin-kick, drops another with a punch and roundhouse kick, and a third with a snap kick.
The Netherrealm army also charged the last ship touching on land. On that ship, Kitana lifts a hand containing her bladed fans into the air. With a loud cry, she points with her fan to the army and leaps ashore, joined immediately by Baraka, Sheeva and Jade, and a second later followed by the soldiers, Tarkatan and Shokan they all command. The Outworld army pumps themselves up with chants as the Netherrealm army charges toward them, and with one final cry, they all run forward, joining the battle.
Kitana blocks a blow from a spiked club with her blades, throwing the weapon aside and cutting into the demon who wielded it. She knocks it down with a jumping high kick as Sheeva charges two demons, grabs their heads and bashes them together, knocking them down in a spray of blood, before backhanding another charging demon aside with her two right hands.
Back at the Special Forces boat, Cassie, Jacqui and Jax cut down countless demons approaching them with their gunfire, but it seems like they will soon be overwhelmed. But above them on the boat, the elder Jax stands on the edge of the bow. He leaps off, his fist charging with energy. Just as the Netherrealm army is about to swarm over them, Jax lands on the pier deck and smashes his fist into the ground. The resulting shockwave blasts the entire front ranks backward several feet, clearing the area. Jax looks back toward his daughter.
"This mean you're back?" Jacqui asked hopeful "This means I'm sorry, Jacqui. And hell yeah, I'm back" He replied
Jacqui immediately hugs her dad, to the delight of Cassie and the younger Jax. The moment is quickly broken though as the Netherrealm army finishes regrouping and charges once again. Cassie and Jacqui open fire once again, while both Jax's begin punching and kicking down every demon that steps too close to them. Even so, countless more demons make their way forward.
But all of them fail to notice a disturbance in the clouds above. The clouds swirl in toward what appears to be a red glow in the sky. The light soon becomes bright enough that both Jax's, Jacqui, Cassie and even the Netherrealm army look up to the sky in shock and wonder.
At the center of the red vortex is Liu Kang, charging up with lightning. On a balcony of Kronika's Keep, the revenants Kitana and Kung Lao also watch this spectacle, flanked by two demons. As the clouds turn and swirl around him, Liu Kang gathers his focus, bursts into flames and torpedos down into the center of the Netherrealm army guarding the gates to Kronika's Keep.
The impact he causes on landing is akin to a nuclear explosion, with the entire area surrounded by white for a few moments.
When the smoke clears, Liu Kang stands alone. The Netherrealm army in the field is simply gone, vaporized into nothingness. Only a small defensive force of Netherrealm oni survived to defend the gate, while a large number still waited within the Keep itself. Behind Liu Kang, the gathered army of heroes all cheer the display of power and charge forward toward the gate of the Keep.
With the Earthrealm / Outworld armies approaching behind him, Liu Kang strides toward the gates, his arms crackling with electricity. The remnant of demons roars in defiance and charges, to which Liu Kang responds by blasting lightning from his hand. The electricity catches one demon and then immediately chains the others around it. Within moments, all the demons have been fatally electrocuted.
Liu Kang walks up to the gates, with all the heroes following after.
"Stand back"
They all wait as Liu Kang charges up his hand with fire. He strikes the gate, and the impact is so devastating that on the other side, the frontlines of the Netherrealm army are thrown into the air from the massive explosion that occurs.
The army of heroes charges toward the keep, Liu Kang now taking to the skies once more. As he flies off to deal with the defenders near the back, Kitana stabs a charging demon multiple times with her bladed fans, knocking it down with a roundhouse kick. She slashes another demon several times over, almost completely eviscerating it, then stabs a third demon four times over, finishing with a stab straight through the top of its skull.
Kung Lao palm strikes a demon twice in the chest, then splits it in two vertically with a swipe of his bladed hat.
The younger Jax blocks a demon's punch and punches it twice, leaving it for his elder self to finish off. He swipes at another demon that actually manages to duck his attack and punch him back, but the elder Jax then charges in and hits two shots to the ribs that stun the demon. Younger Jax recovers and the two Jax's both wind up their fists and punch the demon on both sides of its head, completely obliterating it.
The heroes make their way to the Keep's entrance, and we cut to inside where the revenants Kung Lao, Kitana and Jade all run into the room where the hourglass is kept "Is the battle lost?" Asked Kitana "Victory is still at hand. The hourglass is nearly ready" Kronika replied.
She turns to the revenants.
"You will prevent Liu Kang's interference. But you will require more assistance"
Time energy flows from her hands toward the revenants. On the other side of the doorway, Liu Kang, Kitana and Kung Lao approach.
"Whatever happens, I am honored to fight at your side" Said Liu Kang "Likewise, Liu Kang," said Kitana as Kung Lao placed a hand on his shoulder saying "Me too, brother."
"May the Elder Gods protect us" Said Liu Kang.
He charges his hand up with fire and punches the doorway. This time, the door melts away rather than blowing up. The three heroes step through to find Kronika and Cetrion still manipulating the hourglass and (Name) on the floor chained with her daughter, but they are stopped by the appearance of revenant Jade, Kung Lao and Kitana, all wearing new attire in the same white-gold of Kronika's clothing. Kronika looks over to Liu Kang.
"Liu Kang, God of Thunder and Fire. Combined with Raiden has the benefit of novelty. But it is also too little, too late" Said Kronika while (Name) and Calithea looked in shock at Liu Kang.
She turns back to the hourglass and pours her energy into it. The revenants move forward slightly, but don't attack. The sands in the hourglass begin to flow upwards as Liu Kang runs forward to attack, but as he does so, Kung Lao and Kitana come to a frozen halt. As Liu Kang stops and turns around, they begin to move in reverse.
"Kitana! Kung Lao!" he calls out as he tries to Kitana's hand, but is unable to stop her from moving backward. To his dismay, he can only watch as time starts to unwind, and with it, both Kitana and Kung Lao step back through the door, which unmelts and seals itself once again. Liu Kang looks back toward Kronika and the revenants, unaffected by the reversal of time.
(Name) growls and glares up at Kronika "Cheating bitch! What? Can't handle a fair fight!?" she snaps at her but Kronika only glances at her momentarily before returning her attention to the hourglass.
We cut to the scenes from before where the armies of Earthrealm and Outworld collided with the Netherrealm army, only now these scenes are being rewound. The Outworld army jumps back on their ship in reverse, the Shaolin monks leap backward on the oars of their ship, and the pier docks are reformed as Kharon's ships rewind and undo the crash damage they inflicted. Scorpion teleports in reverse back onto his ship, while Sub-Zero undecapitates and unshatters the frozen demons from earlier, sliding backwards to his ship. Kharon's ships sail off in reverse, and the Netherrealm army runs backward from the shoreline.
Back in Kronika's Keep, Liu Kang steels himself. Kronika looks over at him.
"Raiden's gift shields you from the power of the hourglass. Regardless, your allies are gone, while mine remain to defend me" She motions to the revenants.
"Finish him!"
Jade and Kitana charge Liu Kang at the same time. He parries Jade's staff with his hands and ducks under a swipe but walks into a roundhouse kick from Kung Lao. As Liu Kang staggers back, he manages to block an ax kick from Kitana but takes a sidekick to the stomach from her when she counterattacks. Kung Lao immediately strikes him in the face with another roundhouse kick, then Jade hits him in the knee with her staff and twirls around to smash it into his chest.
Liu Kang remains on his feet as the revenants come in again. He catches Kitana's hand before she can swipe him with her bladed fan and blocks Jade's staff with his other arm, but this leaves him open to Kung Lao, who blasts him with a barrage of fists to his sternum. With Liu Kang stunned, Kung Lao steps back and delivers a sidekick to the sternum that knocks Liu Kang backward, sending him crashing hard to the ground.
"Liu!" (Name) calls out worried as she struggles against the chains. Calithea slips out of her and gets up running "Fire man!" she calls out (Name) worried even more "Cali! No!" (Name) yells jumping to her feet, pulling at her chains and cuffs, trying to free herself.
For a moment, Liu Kang writhes on the floor but struggles to his feet. The revenants remain in fighting stances. Liu Kang closes his eyes to focus... and hears the voice of Raiden.
"Earthrealm's Jinsei flows within you. Let it fuel your fire"
He opens his eyes again, and now they sparkle with electricity. His face etched with fierce determination, Liu Kang looks to the heavens and roars with fury. Lightning strikes his body and fire explodes out of it once more. He shifts into a fighting stance, dispelling the fire and electricity as the three revenants charge him again.
Kung Lao attacks first with a barrage of punches, but Liu Kang parries them all, as well as some staff strikes from Jade. He then blocks a high kick from Kitana and another from Kung Lao, dodging between strikes from Kitana's fans. He grabs Kitana's hand as she tries to stab him, then steps forward and judo throws her to the floor. Before she can recover he punches her in the face, knocking her unconscious.
Liu Kang then throws a roundhouse kick that counters a palm strike from Kung Lao, blocks some more punches and lands a straight punch to Lao's face, sending him reeling back. Kang turns to his side as Jade tries to flank him, deflecting her staff attacks with his fists and feet. He jump-kicks her in the face, punches Kung Lao again when he tries to charge in and blasts him in the chest with a fireball, knocking him down.
Jade tries to stab him with her staff, but Liu Kang dodges around it, punches her in the face, then takes her staff with both hands and wrenches it downward. As Jade staggers forward, Liu Kang knees her in the face, knocking off her mask. He then twirls the staff around - taking Jade with it - and forces it against her throat, while he grabs her head from behind and pushes it down against her staff.
It's not long before Jade begins to struggle for breath, and she falls to her knees. As she lets go of her staff, Liu Kang leans downward and springs back with a devastating knee strike to the back of her neck. The blow is so powerful that Jade's staff breaks in two from the impact, and the revenant assassin collapses on the floor, killed instantly by the strike.
Liu Kang throws the broken pieces of Jade's staff to the floor and assumes another fighting stance. He addresses Kitana, who has just begun to pick herself off the floor.
"Now stand down! I have no wish to harm you.
"Harm me?! You already KILLED me! My fate was sealed the moment I joined you at Raiden's side. It's a mistake I won't repeat in the New Era"
They fight. Even with Kitana's Edenian speed and thousands of years of battle experience, Liu Kang had bested her before. And even with the power of Kronika in her revenant form, it proves to be no match for the Fire God that is Liu Kang. Taking advantage of his newfound abilities, he quickly finishes the fight and leaves Kitana down on the ground.
"Our friendship was no mistake"
He looks over to Kung Lao, who has also started to rise from the floor "Your ego knows no bounds!" Said Kung Lao. Liu Kang walks toward the revenant "I did not ask for this. It was thrust upon me" Liu Kang tried to reason with him "It should have been ME, Liu Kang, from the beginning! Thanks to Kronika, it will be"
They fight. While Kung Lao has lost none of the speed and ability that carried him to victory many times in life, and is powered up further by Kronika's machinations, it turns out to be his ego that is too big for him. The Fire God Liu Kang takes the fight to the revenant and defeats him in short order.
With Kung Lao turn, Liu Kang turns to Kronika.
Unknown to him Kitana slowly got back up and prepared to attack him from behind when a large ball of fire slammed into her, knocking her to the floor, head first, and rendering her unconscious, Liu Kang looked at the now unconscious Kitana then to (Name).
But (Name) was still shackled she looked behind him in disbelief "That...wasn't me" she whispered wide-eyed. Liu Kang looks back behind him shocked the fireball still remained in one place but slowly extinguished. All that stood there was Calithea, glaring at the fallen Kitana, without a single injury and a few embers on her skin. She points at Kitana "That was for killing my mommy and trying to hurt mama's friend!" she shouted. Liu Kang walked over to her and petted her hair smiling "Well done, little one" He said making her giggle as he picked her up. Calithea looks at her mother and laughs "Look, mama!" She says waving her hands "I'm just like you!" (Name) tears up and smiles "Yeah baby. Just like me" she says softly. Liu Kang walks to (Name) and unbinds her. Calithea leaps into her mother's awaiting arms happily.
Liu Kang turned again to Kronika "Still, you are alive" She said "Yes, Kronika. You were right to fear mine and Raiden's powers combined" He replied "A demi-god's power cannot rival that of an Elder God. Cetrion!"
Kronika steps aside to reveal Cetrion - who rather than the green outfit she wore earlier, is now decked out in red, with glowing eyes to match. Her new attire makes her look similar in appearance to a succubus "As you wish, Mother" Says Cetrion.
Cetrion throws fireballs at Liu Kang which he dodges and flips over. Liu Kang shoots a fireball of his own which Cetrion blocks. She shoots off a blast of wind that Kang cartwheels to avoid and another which he ducks under. She then throws a roundhouse kick that shoots a spark of ice, which he blocks but sends him back several feet. Liu Kang recovers quickly and jump kicks the air, shooting a fireball from his leg that Cetrion barely ducks under. She shoots another fireball that Kang ducks from, and he launches another roundhouse kick that shoots a fireball that catches her in the face, sending her onto her hands and knees. She stands again quickly "You match me step for step," She says.
She kicks the air again, sending out a fireball and an ice blast. Liu Kang dodges both projectiles and counters with a lightning blast that electrocutes the Elder Goddess, knocking her to the floor. Behind her, Kronika stares on at Liu Kang, eyes wide with fear as Cetrion struggles to rise, still being wracked with electricity.
(Name) and Calithea stands back. (Name) doesn't interfere. Something inside her tells her to stay back just like at the collisium when she let Kitana face off against Shao Kahn. Calithea watches 'fire man' fight Cetrion.
"Because your heart is not in the battle, Cetrion. You fight for your mother's vision. But as a goddess of virtue you know that her desired balance is folly" Liu Kang says
As Cetrion stands up, Kronika walks over to her "Heed me, Cetrion! He lacks our vision and wisdom!" She says. Cetrion turns away from her, clearly conflicted "Please. No virtue is served by condemning the realms to endless war" Liu Kang implores her. Cetrion looks back at Kronika for a moment, then steels herself, facing Liu Kang once again.
"The greatest virtue is abiding my mother's will, Liu Kang. I cannot fail her"
They fight. With her powers over nature and all of its elements, Cetrion should indeed be a match for the Fire God Liu Kang. But the battle does not sway that way, because Liu Kang is also the God of Thunder and he takes full advantage of the internal conflict raging in Cetrion's mind. Slipping past her attacks and into her defenses, Liu Kang manages to do the impossible and overpower the Elder Goddess, knocking her to the floor.
"Your heart betrays you, Cetrion"
Laying on the ground, Cetrion looks over to Kronika "I have failed you" She says pitifully "Dearest Cetrion, you have done admirably" What little forced compassion is in Kronika's voice dispels as Cetrion rises to her feet "Yet there is one final service to perform" She says. Cetrion looks downcast but also resigned to her fate "Yes, Mother. I understand" She said defeatedly.
She raises her hands to the heavens and cries out. Her form disintegrates into a glowing ball of multicolored light that flies into Kronika. The power that Cetrion wielded now flows out of Kronika "You will be exalted in the New Era, Cetrion"
"What is wrong with you?"
Kronika and Liu Kang turn to (Name), who stares at Kronika with disgust "She...she was your daughter...Your child, your creation and you used her to fill the fucking hourglass?" She said her rage slowly building. Calithea gets out of her mother's arms and stands next to her "She did EVERYTHING you asked of her, even if it meant going against everything she stood for, every moral she had, and you didn't even care nor hesitate to use her very life for your selfish desires! have you no shame?!" She yells. Kronika looked indifferent "I am her mother. It was her honor to do this" She replied. (Name) growled as she lit her hands up with fire "You...don't deserve the title of mother!"
Liu Kang and (Name) throw a fireball each, but Kronika effortlessly bats it aside. He looks at his hands in confusion for a moment as does (Name), but puts it aside and charges her. Kronika blasts a storm of sand from her palms, striking Liu Kang and knocking him down "And YOU, Liu Kang, have FAILED!" Kronika said.
She turns to the hourglass and uses her time powers once again. The sand continues to flow upwards, increasing in speed. (Name) picks up Calithea again and clutches her to her chest afraid for her daughter's life as Calithea cries and buries her face in her mother's chest. Liu Kang rises to his feet and Kronika looks over at him again "History rewinds, giving way to the New Era!" Kronika said "NO!" Liu Kang exclaimed. He looks at (Name) and her scared expression and how Calithea is crying in fear. He runs to them and brings them both into his arms to shield them as much as he can as (Name) buries her head in his shoulder.
Around them, Kronika's Keep suddenly fades away, as they and the hourglass are transported through time and through realms, emerging in pre-historic Earthrealm. They appear in a luscious and beautiful forest, with a dead dinosaur in the background. The area surrounding the hourglass is distorted, seemingly opening out into space. Kronika hovers above Liu Kang, slowly coming down to ground level.
Liu Kang lets go of (Name) and Calithea and walks away from them far enough so that they won't be included in the fight. He sends (Name) a confident smile before he faces Kronika.
"The realms as you knew them are undone. Erased. You cannot save a future that no longer exists! There is only the New Era!"
They fight. The battle is truly epic, with neither Liu Kang nor Kronika getting any clear advantage for the majority of it. For what seems like an age, the newly born Fire God and the architect of the Mortal Kombat universe fight with every power they have, but eventually, Liu Kang prevails and knocks Kronika to her knees. She struggles to her feet.
"The realms will not fight your endless wars"
"Fight me further and your friends are lost. They have no future unless I create it" Kronika says getting to her feet
"The future you offer is not worth living! It will NOT come to pass!" Liu Kang exclaims.
They fight. Once again, the battle proves to be a meeting of two unstoppable forces. But this time Liu Kang gets the upper hand and knocks Kronika to her knees.
"With or without you, I will restore the timeline!"
Kronika growls in anger and rises to her feet. She telekinetically hurls another two asteroids at Liu Kang, but he kicks them to pieces.
"Sculpting the Sands of Time requires great power and skill. You have neither, Liu Kang. You may be a god, but I am a Titan!
They fight. Once again, the battle proves to be a meeting of two unstoppable forces. But, with (Name) and Calithea shouting words of encouragement, Liu Kang overpowers Kronika and knocks her to her knees.
As Kronika rises, Liu Kang charges up a fireball and blasts her straight in the chest. He shoots three more, each striking the helpless Kronika, before charging up a final blast that shoots out from his hands like a flamethrower. The blast engulfs Kronika entirely, and when it ends we see that her entire body has molded into what looks like molten organic glass.
Liu Kang approaches the now crystalline form of Kronika. He chops her outstretched hand, shattering her arm to the elbow, then repeats the motion with her other arm, shattering that too. Growling in fury, he roundhouse kicks her across the face, and her entire head explodes into pieces. He then contemptuously pushes down what remains of her body, letting it break apart completely upon impact with the ground.
With the Titan of Time lying dead at his feet, Liu Kang closes his eyes, trying to find focus again when he's engulfed in a hug. He opens his eyes to see, both, (Name) and Calithea hugging him smiling. He smiles back and returns the hug "She is gone. There is nothing to fear anymore" He said pulling back enough to see (Name)'s face "We're just happy you're alive and well, Liu," She said smiling. Calithea smiles up at him "You're ok, Fire man! No more bad lady!" She says showing off her little fangs in her smile. He chuckles and pets her hair "Correct, little one. No more bad lady"
"Our work is finished, Liu Kang.
Liu Kang turns around. Behind him stands Raiden...but something is different. Raiden's attire is the same as before, but his voice no longer reverberates with power.
"Lord Raiden" Liu Kang said surprised as he let go of (Name). Raiden looks up at him. There is no electric blue glow in his eyes. His pupils are brown and look entirely human "I am merely Raiden, now. You have proven worthy to take my place as the new Protector of Earthrealm, once it is restored" Raiden said "You honor me, Raiden" Liu Kang replied as he clasped his hands and bowed "The honor is mine, Lord Liu Kang. The sands of time are yours to shape. It falls upon you to architect a new history" Said Raiden before he turned to (Name) with a remorseful look in his eyes.
"Lady (Name). I know I do not deserve to even ask for your forgiveness for all the harm and pain I have put you through the years" Raiden said with sorrow before a hand was placed on his shoulder "I forgive you Raiden...Yes, it hurt for many years but I grew stronger because of those actions. so please don't beat yourself up over it" S.he said smiling at him as he returned the smile. (Name) looked to Liu Kang "time to give the realms the histories they deserve, Liu" (Name) said smiling
"The fate of all realms... in my hands? Raiden, I cannot do this alone" Liu Kang said slightly nervous "I shall advise you for as long as my mortality allows. But have no doubt, you are up to the task" Raiden replied "As will I. We won't leave you alone while we still exist" (Name) said with a look of determination and Calithea giggled looking up at him.
"Then together, let us begin" Liu Kang said determined
As the four of them turn to the hourglass, the camera pans up into the shining cosmos of space. The future may be uncertain, but it looks hopeful.
Cut to black.
(This isn't the end of the story just yet. I still have to do the Aftermath DLC because its been stated that it's canon and leads into the next game Mortal Kombat 1. It'll Take some time since it's going to be hard to insert the reader and not have her or Calithea cross paths with her past self)

I’ve been writing a very, very long Shang Qinghua and Shen Jiu centric Scum Villain fic (a retelling if some things happened a little differently I guess. It might end up longer than the original lol.) Anyways, I decided to write a prolog for it today. It’s basically the first part of Scum Villain, but for Shang Qinghua instead of Shen Yuan.
Trigger warnings for death, graphic descriptions, self harm (within the bounds of PIDW) and suicide (within the bounds of PIDW).
… Lou Binghe cradled the broken body the way he would a wife. He hadn’t ever expected his anger to dissipate, but in the centuries that passed, he had thought he would move on and abandon the man locked deep underground. After taking his dignity and pride, he had slowly plucked away at his body until only a mute, half-blind human stick remained. He’d broken into his dreams and played with his nightmares and memories until the man had been driven half mad with fear and grief. Yet after all this time, Liu Binghe was still not ready to part with Shen Qingqui.
He called his blood parasites forth and got to work on the healing. This was a common rhythm by now, one centuries in the making. Not even his most favored wives received this level of attention, but that was different. His wives yearned for his touch, but his shizun could only helplessly accept it. All this time, Lou Binghe kept him trapped, too weak to resist, yet not allowed to die. He’d been powerless to do anything else, until now.
“How dare you,” Lou Binghe snarled. His eyes flashed crimson and his claws dug into what was left of his shizun. “Who gave you permission? Who said you could escape?”
Shen Qingqui didn’t bother opening his remaining eye in response. Or perhaps he no longer had the strength. Lou Binghe worked his parasites overtime, but he could still feel them growing sluggish.
How the man had managed to slit his own throat, Lou Binghe didn’t know. It wasn’t a deep cut, so the bleeding had taken some time, but it had been enough. There was a chance that someone else had done it, a chance that it was even one of his wives. Lou Binghe didn’t know yet, but he would find out. He would hunt the culprit down if it took him to the end of his days.
Although was there an end? He hadn’t thought his shizun would find one, but as his blood parasites stilled, so too did the man’s heart. Would Lou Binghe’s heart stop beating one day too? Did he want it to? Lou Binghe placed a hand against his chest to feel the steady thrum. For what purpose did it keep on beating? What value did it serve?
Lou Binghe’s claws dug in against his skin. It would be so easy if he wanted to go through with it. The one and only way he knew his heart could stop. He could follow his shizun to hell and continue to torment him all his days.
Pinpricks of blood stained his robes and trickled down his chest. It would be so easy to follow, but…
But what?
Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky deleted paragraph after paragraph, the dread torn from Lou Binghe’s throat. Three years of writing were finally coming to a close, five if he included the two years of drafting and planning between college classes and part time jobs. After over six million words and over 600 wives, he was finally on chapter 6,666. The clamors for an ending were ever growing in numbers. If he didn’t want to lose readers, it probably made sense to transition to a new work. Sure, it would take some time to build up a new following, but enough would transfer over. He would just need to ride the residuals until the new money came in. It would be fine. He had enough saved up for the next month’s rent. He could get by.
As long as he didn’t fuck himself over now.
“Great master” Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky returned to typing. This time Shen Qingqui’s death was a lot more brutal and a lot less emotionally charged. His readers would like that more. Lou Binghe would finally violently and brutally slaughter his tormentor, fuck a bunch of his wives, and live out the rest of eternity as a powerful demon lord without ever looking back.
Just some good old fashioned kink and gore. Exactly what everyone loved! That ought to satisfy his fans, at least enough to be willing to read his next work. He wasn’t exactly sure what that would be yet, but he had a bunch of ideas jotted down. He’d just keep tossing them out until the fans bit one and he could run with it. It would have to work.
Airplane pressed the return key with a bit more force than strictly necessary. His dinosaur of a laptop lagged slightly at the request, but eventually a new window popped up. Chapter 6,666 was up and Proud Immortal Demon Way was finally done.
Airplane sank back into his chair and let out a long breath. Over the next few minutes, the new readers and commenters would start pouring in. Soon, his laptop would explode in a cacophony of pings and alerts, but right now all was quiet in his apartment save for the soft drip from his leaking faucet and the ever-present din of road noise outside his window.
Airplane stretched his back, causing it to pop and crack in a number of places. The poor thing was likely protesting how long he had been sitting, but what other choice did he have with his looming deadline? At least that was over now. He leaned against his desk to pull himself up.
The world around him flickered dark and his head swam. Ah right. He hadn’t eaten since the evening he started writing this final chapter. Which at this point meant it had been over a day and a half. Oops! At least he had a few energy drinks to keep himself hydrated!
Airplane shifted his weight from his desk to his chair. The cheap thing wobbled slightly, but generally held his weight. He’d found it on the roadside years ago and it was starting to really show its age. Maybe when he had that new revenue source coming, he’d indulge himself in a new one. After he got a new laptop of course. That poor thing had seen better days years ago.
Airplane stumbled across his apartment to the little kitchen area. He nearly tripped a couple times on scattered junk and clothes, but successfully made it to the stove without falling. He opened a packet of ramen and got the water boiling just as he heard the first ding.
A smile flashed across Airplane’s face. He wondered what his readers thought. It would be far too early for Peerless Cucumber’s comment to come in. That man would have to write a novel’s worth of vitriol first before sending it. But some of his super fans and less verbose haters would want to be early responders. He couldn’t wait to see what they said. Hopefully it was passionate enough to start a flame war in the comments.
It was a shame really that he couldn’t end things with a little more umph, but such was life. Plotlines like Shen Qingqui’s backstory were killed long ago and it was far too late to reincorporate them now. Besides, that wasn’t what any of his readers wanted to see. Well, maybe Cucumber-bro did, but that was neither here nor there.
Airplane wobbled slightly as he navigated the short distance back to his computer with the hot noodles in his hands. He set them down as quickly as possible and swung his chair around to pop a renewed seat. His vision continued to swim as he leaned in to read what his fans had written. Split reactions from what he could tell. Just as much love and anger as he had hoped for. He leaned in closer to get a better look when all of the sudden the screen sparked and flickered dark.
“Shit!” He grabbed the overturned bowl of noodles and shoved it aside. His computer was still flickering and starting to smell. He needed to pull it from the power now if he didn’t want it to-
He saw red then white then black. His body twitched and flailed involuntarily as his muscles tightened and relaxed. It didn’t really hurt so much as tingle throughout, but the pain would likely come later. Airplane’s chest tightened and his breaths came in short.
He hit the ground with a thud, his already restricted breaths now taking in smoke. It likely came from his laptop, but it was possible it came from his as well. He couldn’t move his body to check.
His blurry vision returned somewhat when the spasms stopped, but it was starting to fade now. His head felt heavy and his body weak.
“Aww damn it all,” he thought miserably. If he knew he wasn’t going to write that second novel, he would have written the ending he wanted. At least maybe Cucumber would have been happy with it. Or maybe he would have raged over the death of his beloved Binghe.
Airplane would never know now. He wouldn’t even get to see Cucumber’s final angry rant. It really wasn’t fair, was it? But then again, when had it ever been?
As the world slipped into darkness, Airplane allowed himself a single tear.

“PULL ON THE HEART STRINGS” CASSIE CAGE X FLIRTY COMEDIC RELIEF FEM!READER
Tumblr media
SUMMARY : Cassie painfully has a crush on you and it’s obvious to everyone except you. But when your friends tell you, you tease the hell out of her. (Your ability is heightened senses)
WARNINGS : mentions of sh and sh scars
MASTERLIST 1 , MASTERLIST 2
Tumblr media
In the original timeline, you died. Plain and simple. You died by the hands of Sindel when you preformed your greatest move. She died along with you.
Now the time rip had brought you three: you, Kung Lao, and Liu Kang into the present despite circumstances. You two spontaneously were alive now.
It took some getting used to. Being in a timeline completely different from your own but you had managed to find comfort in it.
Currently, you and your best friends were at the base as you were instructed by Raiden to help out the special forces as needed. You and Kung Lao were play fighting, messing around and Liu Kang shook his head as the two of you played.
Further from you three, Cassie was watching you in awe as you fought Kung Lao. You were easily winning too. Jacqui saw her best friend staring and shook her head. “You’ve been obsessed with her since she got here.”
Cassie scoffed at the claim. “I have not. It’s just…she’s literally the best female fighter. Hell, thee best fighter. I’m just amazed is all.”
“Amazed? That’s an odd replacement for love-struck.”
Cassie quickly shushed her friend. “Not love-struck! Just impressed.”
“Really? Okay.”
You and Kung Lao had stopped fighting at that point and were just laughing. Jacqui took that as her chance to push Cassie over to you.
Cassie lost her balance and almost fell when you quickly saw this with your fast reflexes. You immediately caught her, sort of bridal style.
Cassie’s hand was on your chest and you held her tightly. “Whoa. You know for a Commander you’re pretty clumsy.”
She couldn’t even say a word to you. She was just hopelessly lost in your eyes. You were the embodiment of beauty to her. She felt her heart skip beats. You didn’t catch on though and raised a brow at her. You heard her heart beating fast with your heightened hearing. “You okay, Commander?”
She hated the fact you didn’t call her by her name. Cassie snapped out of it and nodded. “Oh yeah. Cool. Cool as ice.”
You carefully picked her up and held her until she was at her feet. You let go of her. “Hey, you got anything to drink? I’m thirsty.”
Cassie took her soda off the table and waved it around in her hand. “I have this. But I drank out of it-“
You didn’t care and took the soda from her anyway. You quickly drunk it in front of her. Every drop until it was all gone. You then simply threw the can somewhere.
“You have to excuse (Y/N) as she has no home training.” Liu Kang said.
“Blah blah blah. My name is Liu Kang. Look at me with my fire balls and self righteousness. Blah blah blah.” You mocked his voice as you made a hand motion like it was your puppet for him.
Kung Lao snickered some while Cassie almost busted out in full laughter. Liu Kang crossed his arms almost offended. “I do not sound like that.”
“You kinda do…” Kung Lao trailed off.
Liu Kang huffed at the two of you and you smirked at him, sticking your tongue out which made him playfully roll his eyes at you.
Cassie was never this nervous about anything. Ever. She was always sure of herself so the feeling she had at the pit of her stomach made her uncomfortable.
She felt like you were out of her league. You were a powerful warrior and you were the best female fighter of Earthrealm. Even though she did defeat Shinnok, you probably would’ve done it with ease.
“So, Cassie. You defeated Shinnok? That’s a way better status than what Liu Kang did. He just beat up a sorcerer. Boo-Hoo.” You said while leaning on the desk.
Liu Kang gave you a look. “Apparently in the original timeline I would’ve killed Shao Kahn.”
“Yeah and after he killed me!” Kung Lao said. “Which by the way, you sucked at because according to everyone else - he came back after that.”
“Boys, boys, this isn’t a pissing contest.” Cassie told him but with a smug look. “But yeah. It’s true. I beat him. I’m a badass.”
“So I became a revenant?” You questioned. “Was I a hot one?”
“(Y/N).” Liu Kang scolded at you.
“What? I’m asking the real questions.”
Cassie was so caught up in all of your beauty that what she said didn’t mean to come out her mouth. “You’re always hot.”
The monks turned to her curiously, as they knew of her overwhelming crush on you. (Even though you didn’t know.) You watched as Cassie covered her mouth when she said that.
You didn’t take it as much. You just thought she was being a girls girl and complimenting you. “Sweet.” You saw Jax, the Jax from your timeline walking with a bag of chips. “Dibs.” You snatched the bag out of his hands. He gave you an irritated look and you flipped him off. He rolled his eyes at you before walking away.
“I’m just going to go over there.” Cassie pointed back to Jacqui and walked over to her.
You ate your chips like nothing was happening. Kung Lao gave Liu Kang a look. “Now can I tell her?”
Liu Kang shook his head. “No, Kung Lao.”
“I can’t keep doing this. I’m about to have a stroke.”
You looked at your friend weirdly as you ate your chips. “What are you about to have a stroke about?”
Kung Lao snatched the chips away from you. “You.”
“Hey!”
Kung Lao placed them on the table behind the three of you before looking back at you. “I refuse to believe you’re that naive (Y/N).”
“I love her Lao but…she is.” Liu Kang stated simply.
You stopped leaning on the table and turned to face them. “What are you dorks going on about?”
Kung Lao gave Liu Kang a final look and he finally nodded, motioning for him to say it. Kung Lao faces you again. “The Cage likes you.”
You scoffed as if it was obvious. “Of course she does. Where’s the surprise in that?” It was at that point Kung Lao flicked your head. You held your head in pain. “Ow!”
“I mean she has a crush on you, you airhead.”
“She does not…” You were about to say but then you started thinking. And then you put the puzzle pieces together. It made sense why you could hear her heart beating fast when she was around you. Why she would stutter and sometimes say things that came off as flirtatious but would immediately get embarrassed by.
You felt like an idiot for not seeing it sooner.
“Oh…”
Tumblr media
You didn’t really know how to go about confronting Cassie about her crush on you. You didn’t really have a problem with her. You thought she was pretty, fun loving and adventurous. Honestly, Cassie was your type.
It didn’t really cross your mind to think of her romantically as you never really saw someone in a romantic light unless you knew they really liked you.
You were currently at the temple, meditating. You used to argue about doing such a thing but Liu Kang showed you the pros of meditating. When you tried it, it eased your stress away.
With your heightened senses, you smelled a familiar perfume. It smelled of cherries and delight. You didn’t need to open your eyes. You already knew who it was. “What brings you here, Commander?”
Cassie stopped in her tracks. She didn’t expect for you to guess who she was. “Wow. Those heightened senses really are a blessing huh?”
“And a curse. I smell Kung Lao all the time.”
Cassie placed her hands on her hips as she examined you. “I just came to check on you.”
“Oh you wanted to check on me?”
Cassie felt a familiar heat come to her face and changed the subject. “I didn’t take it you were the type to meditate.”
“It helps with the pain.” You opened your eyes and motioned to her to sit with you. “Join me.” You patted your hand on the other mat.
Cassie looked at you curiously. She didn’t understand how it actually worked but she would indulge with you.
She sat on the mat across from you. “So do I just close my eyes or-“
“Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and then take one out.”
Cassie looked unsure but did what you said. She closed her eyes and took one deep breath in and out. “Okay. Now what?”
“Think about what brings you peace.”
Cassie did what you said. She was trying to think. Actually, really hard but nothing was coming to her head. “What exactly is the purpose of this?”
“It enhances your emotional awareness, compassion and mental calmness.” You peeked your eyes open to look at her. “It is the reason why Mr. Chosen One is a very calm monk.” You said, referring to Liu Kang.
Cassie had peeked her eyes to look at you and snickered at what you said before both of you closed your eyes.
There was silence for a moment. Then Cassie had thought about what you had said earlier. “What pain do you have?”
“What?”
“You said that meditating helps with the pain. Like physical? Mental?”
You sighed a little, regretting that you had said that. But you did trust Cassie and you didn’t really make it a plan to hide your scars. A lot of people just didn’t notice.
“Look at my arms.”
Cassie followed your direction. She opened her eyes and looked at your arms and when she did, she saw them. It clicked in her head.
She carefully took your arm and rubbed on your scars lovingly. “How did I not notice?”
“I distract people by telling a lot of jokes. If you tell a lot of jokes then people won’t care enough to actually hear you. They just…they just think that’s what you are. A joke.”
Cassie peered up at what you said. She tilted her head at you even though you couldn’t see her do it. “Is that what you think people see you as? A joke?”
You bit your lip a little. You didn’t really want to reveal the most important part of history to Cassie but she made it so comfortable for you that you felt like you had to. “Liu Kang was not suppose to win the tournament the first time around. I was. Raiden did not believe in me that I could defeat Shang Tsung and Goro so he made me lose the challenge to Scorpion so I would be forced to be out of the tournament.”
Cassie was actually shocked. Then she wondered how the roles would be different if you were the chosen one and not Liu Kang. Would everything in her timeline be erased? “Wow. Do you hate Liu Kang for it?”
“Nah. He’s my best friend. I know it’s not his fault that he’s good.” You took in another deep breath before letting it out. “Everybody hears the jokes and after that they stop listening. But I guess that’s a good thing because when nobody expects you to be the best, when they go up against you then it’s an easy challenge.”
Cassie was similar to you. A fun loving free spirit but she definitely wasn’t exactly like you. She knew how tone it down and when to be serious. You didn’t.
You seemed to do it as a defense mechanism and Cassie couldn’t blame you there. I mean, she almost did the same thing.
“Sometimes I just want to disappear.” You said.
Cassie turned her attention back on your scars and rubbed all over them. You didn’t open your eyes still. You placed your hand over her hand that was on top of your scars. “Relax, cupcake. I’m disappearing yet.”
Yet. Cassie didn’t like those words. You could feel her having a frown on her face. You finally opened your eyes. It was only then you took in Cassie’s beauty.
She was absolutely gorgeous to you and you didn’t understand how you didn’t see it sooner. From her hair, to her cute cheekbones, to those pretty eyes.
You placed your right hand on her cheek and gently caressed her face. “You’re so pretty.”
Cassie wasn’t expecting you to say that. She didn’t even know what to say. Her heart started to beat faster and her forehead started to sweat.
You heard her heart beating faster and you chuckled a little. You leaned in close, your lips gently grazing Cassie’s. “You know I can hear your heart beating fast right?”
‘Ah shit.’ “Really?” Cassie let out a nervous laugh.
Instead of leaning in more to close the distance, you pulled away. You then stood up from the ground and held a hand out for Cassie to take. “Spar with me.”
Cassie felt her heart rate calm down a little. She took your hand and you helped her up. “Spar with you? I don’t know (Y/N). I don’t want to hurt you.” She joked at you.
You looked at her a little amused. “You? Hurt me?”
“Um, do I have to remind you that I’m the badass that defeated Shinnok? This is going to be easy.”
“Oh is it? Let’s make this interesting.” You grabbed your hand wraps out of your pocket and started to place them around the palm of your hands. “If I win, I want something from you.”
Cassie looked at you a little worried. “What would that something be?”
“That’s the surprise, sweetheart. What do you want if you win?”
Cassie was thinking a little. She didn’t exactly know what she wanted from you. (Well she did she just didn’t want to say it out loud.) Then she thought about it. “I want you to teach me See No Evil.”
See No Evil was a powerful move that you had come up with in kombat. Only very skilled fighters could mimic your fighting move. You raised a brow when she had said that. “I didn’t even know you knew about it.” You said as in the original timeline, you did not get the chance to preform the move as you were taken from it and placed in this one.
Though in Cassie’s timeline, you preformed it when you were battling Sindel. “You forgot about the crazy time jump. Remember?”
“Right. That.” You finished wrapping your hands. “Alright. Fine. Let’s do this.”
You watched as Cassie got into her fighting stance and you chuckled to yourself a little as it reminded you of Johnny and Sonya combined to be honest. You got in your fighting stance as well.
Cassie wasted no time. She immediately tried to kick you in the stomach but you block it. She then tried to hit you in the chest and you blocked it again. Cassie then tried to do a spin kick on you but you dodged it.
She huffed. This was going to be tougher than she thought. (She should’ve expected that from her idol.) She tried to charge at you and kick you again but you grabbed her leg.
Instead of throwing her off of you, you pulled Cassie closer to you. Real close so her leg was actually wrapped around your waist. You looked down at her, your right hand on her chin. “Is this the sum of the great Shinnok’s defeater might? I thought you’d be more of a challenge.”
That infuriated Cassie and you knew it would. Cassie kicked at your legs and then kicked you in the stomach.
You almost lost your balance but you stood on the ground. “Not gonna lie - the way you just did that was kinda hot.”
Cassie got a little flustered. Were you doing this on purpose? Flirting with her so you could throw her off?
She went to kick at you but you dodged it. She tried to punch you in the chest but you grabbed her hand. You made Cassie punch herself in her face.
Cassie fell to the ground and hissed a little at the pain. “Ugh. What the fuck.” You laughed slightly. Cassie stood up from the ground. “How are you so good at this? You’ve blocked every hit.”
You snickered. You were gonna win the match. You knew that but you’d help her out so she could get some confidence. “Remember, I have fast reflexes.” You walked over to her and got behind her. “You’re a special one. You use your legs more in kombat than your hands so I learn to typically block you there. Also, you’re just like your father. You get frustrated really easily.”
At this point you were directly behind her. You breath was directly on her neck which gave her goosebumps. Your hands wrapped around her waist. “You get a little nervous when you get close to me. Your heart starts beating faster. That’s how I know I have all the control in the fight.”
The way your hands were pressed on Cassie’s body made her go crazy. She just wanted to keep your hands on her forever.
But she couldn’t. She wanted to win to prove to you that she was ‘badass.’
Cassie elbowed you in the gut and then flipped you over on your back. She then got on top of you with her arm on your neck. “How’s that for control?”
You coughed a little at her arm being on your neck. Your hands went to her hips. “I didn’t know you were a top, Cassie.”
Cassie tried to push away the feeling she had at the pit of her stomach knowing you were only saying this to throw her off. “I’m not surprised that you’re a bottom.”
You laughed slightly. You switched the positions so you were on top of Cassie. “I kinda like this. Maybe we should stop fighting.”
Cassie wanted to so bad to give in but she knew (or more so thought) you didn’t mean any of what you said and were just saying that to throw her off her game.
She kicked you in the stomach, making you fall on your back. Cassie quickly stood up from the ground and you followed.
Instead of kicking so much, Cassie made it a point to change it up. She tried to punch you three times. The forth one she had landed a hit on you.
You felt your chest a little. You were a little impressed. It was very hard for an opponent to land a hit on you because of your fast reflexes. You got back in your fighting stance.
Cassie tried to kick you but you blocked it. She punched you in the gut and then kicked you at your feet.
Cassie tried to stomp on you but you moved quickly and swept her own feet, making Cassie fall.
You got up from the ground. Cassie groaned in pain before getting back up. “Did I tell you how hot you look in that uniform? Cause you do.”
Cassie now could ignore your remarks and went to hit you. You blocked the hit. She kicked you at your leg and you almost fell down.
She tried to punch you in the face but you grabbed her fist. Then you pressed her against the wall.
Your arm went on her neck and you started to lightly press down. “I would give up if I were you. The last time I did this to someone they didn’t enjoy it. You probably would though.”
Cassie felt the air get knocked out of her lungs as you sort of choked her. She tried to figure out a way to escape but she couldn’t. Cassie tapped on your arm as her way of tapping out.
You release your grip on her neck but you didn’t back away from her. You still had her pressed to the wall. “Who’s the greatest of all time?”
Cassie let out a laugh before slapping your shoulder. “I am not telling you that you’re the greatest of all time.”
“Don’t be a poor sport about it.” You looked at Cassie and noticed that she had a disappointed look on her face. “Hey, don’t beat yourself up about it. You’re still good. Liu Kang and Kung Lao can’t even land a hit on me when we train together.”
Cassie felt a little better that you thought she was good despite her losing. She noticed how close you two were and also noticed that you didn’t back away. “So…what did you want? You know your prize if you won.”
You brought Cassie’s chin up so she was looking directly in your eyes. “I want a lot but I won’t be greedy.” You did something that Cassie wasn’t expecting.
You kissed her.
Cassie had to snap herself out of shock and kiss you back. Her hands wrapped around your neck and she pulled you in closer to kiss you.
Your hands went on Cassie’s hips. For her being a Commander you were a bit surprised at how soft her lips were. They felt like Heaven to you.
The two of you continued to kiss each other but it soon turned sloppy. You took your chance to stick your tongue in her mouth and Cassie moaned.
“Oh my gods. My eyes. They’re burning! They’re burning!”
You heard a familiar voice. The two of you pulled away and you looked to see Kung Lao covering his eyes as Liu Kang shook his head at his dramatics.
You rolled your eyes some and backed away from Cassie a little while Cassie looked beyond embarrassed. “You’re so over dramatic.”
“It’s like I just watched my sister kiss her girlfriend.” Kung Lao said still with his hands over his eyes.
You prevented yourself from rolling your eyes again and sighed. “What do you want Dumb and Dumber?”
“Raiden would like to speak to all three of us.” Liu Kang said before removing Kung Lao’s hands from his eyes.
“Of course the prehistoric bird wants to.” You looked over to Cassie. “I’ll see you later, Cassie. Maybe we can spar again later.” You said before kissing her cheek and beginning to walk over to your two friends.
Kung Lao groaned in pain. “Ugh. Don’t flirt with her in front of me. It’s bad enough I see Liu Kang and Kitana.”
You wrapped both your arms around their shoulders and began to walk with them. “What is that suppose to mean?” Liu Kang questioned him.
“It means he wants to claw his eyes out when he sees you two painfully flirt with each other.” You said.
“We do not painfully flirt with each other.”
“Tell that to my eyes.” Kung Lao said.
“I cannot stand the two of you.” Liu Kang commented.
Cassie watched as you walked away from her. She smiled and felt the cheek that you kissed. “She called me Cassie.”

Okay, over the last week I have been tagged by so many lovely people in assorted tag games that are some variation of “share the last line of your WIPs” and “share the filename of your WIPs” or both, so both for simplicity and also because I utterly failed to keep track of those original tag posts I am mashing them up here.
Also, holy heck, there are way too many of these.  In case you wonder why you never see any writing progress from me, it’s because half the progress is in random paragraphs scattered across a dozen WIPS.
Angle of Elevation
(Specifically from the next chapter which has been giving me fits for months and now you can see exactly whose fault that is.)
He can’t see the sweat that is trickling down Xie Yuchen’s back, or the indented furrow that the massive headdress has worn into his forehead.
Other Duties As Assigned 2
To judge from the hand that is making an exploratory gambit down the back of his trousers Hei Xiazi would be more than happy to continue from there, but Xiao Hua pushes him away and slides to his feet.
Workman’s Compensation (ODAA 3)
He was, Hei Xiazi thought resignedly, right in more ways than one.
The Aroace Liu Sang Fic
Wu Xie is still fighting against sleep.  “…’zevrythingokay?” he manages, uncoordinatedly patting whatever bits of Liu Sang are within easy reach.
A Little Something For The Road
...apparently I have not actually written anything in this file?  It’s the next part of BeefCake.
Murderbot AU
The only thing in this file is some jotted notes.  Uhhh, have a note?  Liu Sang is his public name, but inside his head he calls himself "Jinx" because he feels like he's cursed with as many owners as he has had, most of whom have come to bad ends.
The Scum Tomb-Robber’s Self Saving System
He could hear his breathing, and his heart beating, and his guts processing his meal.  He hated it.
Rarepair Exchanges Stor(ies?)
i.e., things I partially wrote for rarepair before I panicked and wrote different things for rarepair. Several different stories in here, but I’m only including the ones that I liked enough that I might continue them some day.
"You were right," said Xie Yuchen.  "I definitely like her."
and
Yes, he thinks.  I will.
Pingxie exchange story
Uh, see above.  These two both have maybe-titles within the file, though!
The Doors to Elsewhere
It was almost worse than dying, this feeling, because Xiaoge had been brought down to this, and Wu Xie had been the one to do it.
Blood For the Binding, Bronze For the Chains
He rested his fingers against the bronze, lightly, careful not to touch the demon’s skin.
Faithful in the Bone
“I won’t leave him,” he said fiercely.
Gone To Graveyards, Every One
I’m cheating a little here, because the actual last line I’ve written is a huge spoiler for the fic, so here’s the line before it.
Xiao Hua refused to laugh, though there was something bright and bubbling in his chest, struggling to escape.  “I hate you so much.”
Gen Exchange Fic
Okay, yeah, you know the drill by now
“It’s like going back fifteen years, isn’t it?”
Old Bastard Cabbages Fic
That title is a possible? lie, because while this fic started out being for Old Bastard week, it morphed completely and is now mostly about Xiao Bai and crows.  I got nothin’.
They have tea before they set out, because it is impossible to come to Xiao Bai's cottage and not have tea.
Whew!  I have GOT to finish some of these!
Tagging: Everyone who tagged me - if you’ve only done half of this meme, do the other half!  :)

Anidiotropia by Kizimba
(graphic depictions of violence)
“Are you having an episode?” Aizawa asked carefully and inclined his head at Midoriya’s hand. He’d been pawing at his chest since shortly after the hero’s arrival. Keenly aware that further stress would worsen his condition, Eraserhead had kept quiet about it until it looked like he was improving.
“Mm,” he answered after a long while, blinking slowly. ---- Less than 1% of Japan’s population was quirkless and their numbers were thinning due to an unexplained increase of heart failure.
An abandoned stray living off the scraps his last foster family sends him, Midoriya Izuku is forced to take the reins on his own finances and becomes a notorious online quirk analyst. It's more than just the public that takes an interest in Japan's enigmatic QA, though, and a failing heart soon becomes the least of Izuku's problems.

The sole purpose of Izuku’s quirk is to keep him alive.
So it’s pretty ironic that it’s also slowly killing him.

More Than Just a Burden by ghosteyes
Izuku's injuries catch up to him just as they're making the move into the dorms. Not only does he decide the best way to deal with them is to ignore it as much as physically possible, but he also does his best to hide it from his friends. Until he can't.
They seem to think it's a 'big deal' his hands sometimes hurt so much that he can't use them. Izuku doesn't want to think about it. He doesn't want to need special treatment. He doesn't want to have this problem, but it's getting harder and harder to do anything else.

Counting Down The Days To Go by siriuspiggyback
(major character death)
It started off small. Easy to explain away. That was his downfall, in the end. By the time they diagnosed him, it was too late; the cancer had gotten a tight hold on his body.
Klaus wouldn't tell his siblings, not yet, no matter how much Ben begged him. He wanted to feel as normal as he could, for as long as he could.
Bruise Easily, Bad in the Blood by siriuspiggyback
His chest aches with the force of his heart beating, and he gasps for air like a drowning man. At Ben's urging, barely audible over the ringing of his ears, he sits and puts his head between his knees. He feels like he might be floating, or rocking; the sensation is unsettling close to being blackout drunk.
After a long minute, he falls back down to earth.
Ben admits, "I don't think that was a panic attack."
"Told you so," Klaus whines weakly, too exhausted for true smugness.

Time seemed to slow to a stop, at first Viktor seemed to falter as he slowed alongside with time, his flush obvious on his cheeks. Viktor stopped skating, his form stayed frozen on the rink, before promptly dropping to the ice like a ragdoll.
Yuuri gasps alongside with the crowd. Viktor did not do any jumps, spins, or anything. Viktor Nikiforov, his undefeatable champion, his naive Fiancé, his love, his everything, has simply fainted.
Viktor did not look like he was going to get up anytime soon.
For the first time that night, Yuuri allowed himself to listen to the announcer’s booming voices.
“Viktor Nikiforov has fainted! Where are the medics? I repeat, Viktor Nikiforov has fainted!”

find the word tag CCCXXXVII
to celebrate having access to my wip docs again, I will naturally be searching through them for some words. because what else would I be doing, really. I'm also eating pretzels, because I love eating pretzels at night. I honestly should've made tea when I was downstairs, but it was still too hot. but now only 68 outside and I've got my fan on. I could have some tea. hmm. @spacetimewraithwrites
nice (meta-portal rewrite - join the Eric protection squad, you know you want to)
Chanhee's first step in conquering Soul City through magic and poor planning is to hire an assassin to kill the long lost prince that is neither lost nor been gone very long. it's been five years tops. only some people know where he is, but some people can talk. anyway, Chanhee hires an assassin. his name is Kevin and he's freshly not graduated from assassin academy after failing his final exam. Chanhee doesn't know this, however, and Kevin ends up absconding with the money.
he does try and find the prince because he sorta feels like he should try and protect him now. along the way, he encounters Sunwoo, freshly graduated from bodyguard academy, on his way to protect the prince also because they were childhood friends and also Eric (the prince) is wanted back to boot the current prince off the throne.
Eric has been spending the last five years tops in a little village learning how to make stained glass and having a very nice time, honestly. he's very happy to see Sunwoo, though, and totally trusts Kevin right off the bat because he will trust literally anybody. it's very lucky that he's been in a village of people that don't want to kill him.
near (beating hearts, 2021 - ouxiang means idol, like someone you look up to)
Zhang Qiling passes by him and trails a hand down his arm briefly, in a near absent-minded kind of way, except that Zhang Qiling is calculated about everything. But it’s not cold, it’s just startling to receive.
Liu Sang is still getting used to it. Apparently his ouxiang is very fond of small, affectionate gestures. A touch on the shoulder or elbow, a barely there smile after dinner, humming that sounds more like a song than a mere affirmation. Liu Sang is getting better at interpreting his glances and tones, though he’s nowhere near as good as Wu Xie or Pangzi are, and his reception to touch thrown into the mix is based purely on instinct.
When his ouxiang glances back, now, Liu Sang gives him a minuscule nod. A similar nod is given in response, and he’s left alone. He doesn’t need to be here, but he’s wanted, so here he is. Hopefully this time he can be the one saving Wu Xie from trouble instead of the other way around. And if it’s going to be anybody it would be Wu Xie. The man is the most troublesome human being Liu Sang has ever met.
nature (the sleepy stash, 2022 - yes I DO write the same dynamics over and over because I love them)
Sam trails behind her, unwilling to let her out of his sight. He has a sinking feeling that she’s about to get stuck in the part of his heart reserved for his nearest friends only. “I’ll come with you.”
“You don’t need to.”
“Just to make sure you’re okay.”
Jaclyn stops then, turning to face him. All the weakness is gone, replaced by hard steel. She puts a hand out, not quite touching him. “I have to take care of people. I am always okay.”
The statements seem reversed, and Sam doesn’t like their implications. Still, he can’t really stop her. “You coming right back?”
A sigh makes its way through her lips and he can’t make out its nature. “Yes, I’m coming right back. Go move some more couches and I’ll be back in half an hour.”
Sam watches her drive off with that same sinking feeling in his chest, but worse. She’s not only stuck in that cavity, but he’s very sure that she’s also going to be so much more trouble.
neither (the sleepy stash, 2022 - yeah this is probably a bad idea)
"It's just surprising that they let the two of us stick together."
"Why?
"The two of us, Wu Xie." Liu Sang pokes the man's back with a stick. "Unsupervised."
Wu Xie stops and turns around. "Now, see, I wasn't going to mention it. I'm more surprised that you are. I thought you considered me the troublemaker all by myself? Don't tell me you're planning on joining in."
Liu Sang drops his shoulders in exasperation. "Absolutely not. I'm on ouxiang's team, all the way. I just mean that certain events that cannot be ignored have proven neither of us can avoid trouble."
nasty (I have it but eh)
normal (good brother, 2022 - once again Sleepy writing fanfic for a show she hasn't watched, consumer reports say I did a good job, tho)
"What about Kinn's room. Could you sleep there?"
"I shouldn’t wake him up."
"He'd rather you woke him than know you were wandering around sleepless with a fever all night." Porsche chides him very gently.
Kim leans his forehead on Porsche's shoulder. That's unexpected. "Wouldn't he just get mad at you for letting me wander the house?"
"Surely you know your brother better than that. Yes, he would probably scold me, but he knows you too, right? There's no way he wouldn't know that only physical restraints could stop you from doing whatever you liked."
Kim snorts and pushes away from Porsche. His eyes are bright, from held back tears or exhaustion or fever, Porsche isn't sure. Kim's hands feel along the counter even though the lights are on.
"I can carry you again." Porsche tries to make the suggestion as friendly as possible, like it’s a normal thing to offer rather than an extenuating circumstance.
Kim shakes his head vehemently and topples to the side for his trouble. Porsche catches him, because he's a good big brother, and he's not actually going to let this kid hit his head on the counter as he falls.
