“Two is for discipline, heedless of trial
Three for the gleam of a jewel or a smile
Four for fidelity, looking ahead
Five for tradition and debts to the dead
Six for the truth over solace in lies
Seven for beauty that blossoms and dies
Eight for salvation, no matter the cost
Nine for the Tomb and all that was lost”
…so I just finished reading Gideon and Harrow and I desperately had to draw these characters. Enjoy!

why am I getting so upset around the idea of favourite characters. Like Amane is my favorite character but recently I’ve been thinking about John a lot and his story and I don’t know why it feels like I’ve betrayed Amane sometimes I think is she really my favorite character? Like I know she definitely is but I don’t know what makes a favourite character and it feels especially weird having two comfort characters and a favourite out of them like picking between two children and sometimes it feels so weird when I think about another character more at times and I just feel really bad about myself

if you look at the precedent (and specifically at today's episodes), you could actually argue that murphamy ALWAYS had a better shot at being canon than bellarke.
on account that murphy eventually became raven's bestie, and she and clarke get on each other nerves on a good day, and can't stand the sight of each other in a bad one lmao.

Theory ab the order of villains in LMK, idk if this is common knowledge or if the theory already exists
What we know:
S1: DBK for most of the season then in the last ep gets possessed by LBD (as well as a hint that she will be important in the seasons to come)
S2: Spider Queen under the influence of LBD (at the end gets killed by LBD easily to show LBD is a serious threat)
S3: LBD, finally, she is at her most glorious, she also gives MK a silly cute little crisis <3
S4: Azure Lion, at first he’s thought to be an ally but it’s then revealed he was the villain, also it is revealed he was let out of the scroll by someone else. One thing I want to make clear for this theory, Azure Lion did everything of his free will, the people (probably the ten kings of the underworld) who let him out knew what he would do and condoned his actions, he was not manipulated whatsoever.
That leads to S5 onward. Basically everyone knows the theory that the people who let Azure out of the scroll are the ten kings of the underworld, many MANY things point to that.
But the way one of the kings left their little meeting at the end was very LBD finding Bai He at the end of S1.
My theory is that there’s a pattern, 1: Villain causes the heroes threat and kinda related is this other mysterious villain but we don’t know anything ab them 2: the Villain is being influenced or manipulated by mysterious villain and finally gets killed by mysterious villain to show mv is a threat 3: Mysterious Villain is the villain of this season and is really really scary to our protagonists 4: profit
It would make sense from a story telling standpoint, parallelism, increasing stakes and dread, allowing your watchers to guess what happens next (which is almost always a good thing, especially in the way this would allow), etc. It’s a good formula and you can point attention to breaks in the formula that reveal character growth (MK telling his friend about 10ks unlike how he didn’t tell them ab LBD, SWK not just fucking off to try and deal with the problem himself, more involvement of Red Son to show how he has solidly become a hero [really manifesting that last one tbh], etc). And like I said, it’s good to allow your watchers to be right, it can make for them to be more invested, it can make them feel more confident in make theories and therefore interacting with the fandom and source material more, and it shows that the watcher understands what you are giving them, if they can accurately predict what you are going to do, then you are doing something right.
Uhhhhhhhhhh bye

Tim literally did say that they’d be bringing back past characters this season, we know that already?? so i don’t know why people are freaking out about tommy guest starring, there are probably other characters returning too that we don’t know about yet. people are acting like it’s a secret that he’s back and therefore that means something?? abc are clearly taking all spoilers seriously, not just him 😅 and the love interest stuff is suuuuuch a reach. there is zero proof of this and i mean, come on…… possibility of first male love interest for buck and they choose tommy?? huh? 😂
Wait, they people are saying Tommy is back to a be a love interest? Oh, yeah, because they would totally take half of the couple most people want together, make him queer and immediately shove him with the 118 guy he replaced, who we don't even know if he met, and a lot of people get confused about because he only exists in begins episode, sure. We knew he was gonna make an appearance, and isn't Tommy, like, in some sort of special rescue crew? He's the one Chim calls who sends the plane with the water to that one huge fire in s2 isn't he? Buck ending up meeting him because he's unsettled and wants some specialized training makes a lot more sense than "oh they're gonna fuck" why does everyone jump straight to the "oh they're gonna fuck"? Also, taking half of buddie (any half), making him queer, and not putting them together, it's a dumb decision, because buddie is so intertwined that queer storylines for them need to be addressed together and to use someone we already know to create conflict between buddie when they already have love interests locked and loaded is just dumb. The chances of them giving Buck a male love interest are so low. And making said love interest Tommy? That would be such an insane move from the showrunners. This is a first season in a new network too, they're not gonna do something as risky as giving Buck a male love interest who's not Eddie right off the bat. Also, it's not the Buck show? Not every secret being kept is gonna be about Buck's storyline. Buck could be an entry point for something else. More people could be in the basketball game. They could be hiding stuff about the basketball thing because the script got leaked. There are so many possibilities, why are the specs always "they're gonna fuck"???????

What kind of love are you?
Violet: Love as a Threshold
Your love does not ask for much. Your love does not take. Your love is free, and unquestioned, and here for wherever needs it. When you fall in love, it is as gentle as a breath in the night. It is quiet, and it is effortless. It is tender. If your love was a house, it would readily welcome all who come through. If your love was a hearth, it would warm the hands of whoever stopped by, whether for a day, a month, a year, or forever. When you fall for someone, it is without strings, without conditions, without need. You love for the sake of loving, for the sake of caring for those who need it. You love with a giver’s heart and a giver’s hands and are made so much stronger for it. Being loved by you is to always feel at home. Your love may not always be well-received by those unprepared to linger, but it is unforgettable all the same
The second I saw this answer for Violet I knew it was perfect. Their entire romance with Astarion was about patience. Waiting for him to realize that he's truly safe with them, that they doesn't expect anything from him, that he is in the lead here and they'll follow only when he's ready and okay. And waiting without judgement, Violet knows these things take time and they were more than willing to wait, to be there, to just sit and exist with him while he figures shit out. And when he truly let Violet in, I like to think it was like with a comforting sigh, the feeling of coming home, that feeling when all pressure is lifted and you can just *exist* without fear, without judgement.
Violet has seen violence and hatred and yet chooses to show up for those they love as a place of calm and stability, without judgement, without expectations. Violet's love is patient, it doesn't expect anything back but will give you everything just because we all deserve to feel warmth and safety. They feel so much warmth in their heart that they were able to help Astarion get to a place where he feels safe. I think even if they didn't fall in love or end up together, Violet would have still shown up for him in the same way. They know what suffering is like, they've gone through enough of it themselves and come out the other end alive. They know how much it hurts, but also how much easier it is with someone to lean on.
