i have to be honest. i would simply not have agreed to a loan if the condition for not repaying by the specified date were a pound of my flesh. i must tell the truth in that i would have avoided all of that entirely.

Fluff Alphabet: Takeru/Aguni Edition
🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
A = Attractive what do they find attractive about the other?
Takeru: only reason he let Aguni wear regular clothes and not swimwear is because he saw ARM in that tank top and was like "oh damn okay 😳." So, y'know, that. (And he'll never admit it but he kinda likes how Aguni is a little bit taller than he is....) Also likes that Aguni has a really dry, deadpan sense of humor—he ways finds a way to make Takeru laugh, even when he's not really trying.
Aguni: I think the physical aspect of things wasn't really a make-or-break for him at first—like, yeah, Takeru's a good-looking guy, but that's secondary. He liked how Takeru is such a live-wire, very loud and colorful and seemingly fearless, no matter what kind of trouble they got into. (But also...he likes the hair. That's a thing for him.)
B = Baby do they want a family? why/why not?
Takeru: If they end up with one somehow, then, sure. But, like. He's not going out of his was to make it a thing. (But also, he has his cat, Ziggy, who he calls his baby, so...)
Aguni: Would secretly love to be a dad but is too worried he might mess the kid up or something. Is more than happy to be 'unofficial parent' to the neighborhood kids, though. Handing out ice pops to the kids that show up at the shop, keeping an eye out and telling them to get home before dark, maybe even showing one or two of them how to throw a better curveball...you know. Real Hallmark channel shit. (And yes, for those who were wondering: Ziggy the cat loves him and often curls up on his lap while he watches TV)
C = Cuddle how do they cuddle?
They don't really "cuddle" outside of bed. Just kinda sit next to each other, shoulder to shoulder, no big deal. But in bed, Aguni lies on his back with his arm sorta outstretched while Takeru...well, my man is worm on a string but OFF the string, he just flops all sorts of ways and a lot of them don't look comfortable but he falls asleep in minutes so whatever.
D = Dates what are dates with them like?
I don't think they do "dates"—they've got a long-term thing going on, so they often end up on the couch eating takeout and watching movies. I think they'd go to the movie theater sometimes (and talk shit for the entire film lol) and every once in a while grab dinner somewhere nice...but, usually because they have some cool limited-time-only dessert item that Takeru insists they try. (And Aguni pretends to be upset about having to get dressed up and go out, but is actually rather pleased to have a little romance...and get something to satisfy his sweet tooth.)
E = Everything you are my ____ (e.g my life, my world…)
Aguni: Emergency Medical Contact
Takeru: Co-Signer On The Apartment Lease
F = Feelings when did they know they were falling in love?
Takeru: About a week after Aguni (drunkenly) confessed his crush. Literally spent a whole week like, "Wow, it's a shame I don't love him back. He's so kind and handsome and smart and funny...too bad, I guess..." until one night he sat up straight in bed and said "Hold up." He then immediately called Aguni and began demanding why Aguni didn't tell him he was in love with him this whole time.
Aguni: They had been friends since they were kids, so it's hard to say when his feelings went from "you're my best friend" to something different. But, once he figured it out, he swore never to mention it because that could complicate their friendship.
G = Gentle are they gentle? If so, how?
Takeru: Yes and no. He's got a bad case of "grabby hands" and often yanks Aguni to and fro to look at something or whatever. Just zero respect for the man's personal space. But otherwise...I imagine he's not particularly rough or gentle, just kind of normal. EXCEPT when it comes to the emotional stuff—like, the real heavy things. I think he's very gentle with that, not asking too many questions and just sort of taking care of him where he can.
Aguni: Generally gentle—physically, emotionally, whatever. But I do think that he's confrontational, like when there's an issue, he comes straight out and asks Takeru what's going on. Even corners him, sometimes. He seems like a "no bullshit" guy, and since Takeru is "Mr. 99% Bullshit" he's gotta deal with it as best he can.
H = Hand/Hold how do they like to hold hands?
The only time they "hold hands" is when Takeru is grabbing Aguni's wrist to drag him somewhere (or run away lol) and when Aguni is pulling Takeru's hand back to stop him from touching something...
I = Impression first impression/s
I headcanon that they met very young, like grade school age. After school, in the park, where Takeru was chilling in a tree and Aguni walked by and he was like "Hey, there's a spider up here, wanna see?" and Aguni is like "Not really, I don't like bugs..." Now, Takeru, being "weird bug kid extraordinaire" can't believe his strange little ears and hops down from the tree and starts explaining why bugs are so cool and that Aguni is wrong...and Aguni listens as this funky, tiny firecracker just talks his damn ear off. Aguni liked how excited Takeru got about things, and Takeru liked how Aguni actually listened to him. And they were fast friends after that!
J = Joker are they into pulling pranks?
Takeru fucks around all the time...and doesn't often find out, because Aguni tolerates all his antics. (To a certain point, but still.) Every once in a while, Aguni will tell some harmless little lie just to watch Takeru freak out—he told him once that Lady Gaga was leaving the music scene forever, and Takeru screamed so loud the neighbors filed a noise complaint.
K = Kisses how do they kiss?
I think they most often do quick pecks—at the breakfast table, when they get home from work. You know. Domestic stuff. But when it's not like that...I think 9/10 times it's Takeru initiating, and Aguni reciprocates by wrapping his arms around him in a big hug (because he likes it but also to keep that skinny little weirdo from wiggling so damn much, he's always moving, he can't just be still—)
L = Love who says I love you first?
Neither! I don't think they really say it at all! Why say something that doesn't need to be said? (At least, that's how they see it...)
M = Memory their favorite moment together
Aguni: It's not really a memory, but...just how they have breakfast together some mornings. Sipping coffee, discussing whatever's going on in the world, the general "togetherness" that comes with it is one of his favorite feelings.
Takeru: The time they spent a full 24 hours in a karaoke booth singing 80's hits and knocking back tequila shots and ordering way too much food.
N = Nickel do they spoil? do they buy the person they love everything?
Takeru: Absolutely buys stuff for Aguni all the time. Mostly random snacks, or little knick-knacks that catch his eye. And also clothes, but...Aguni doesn't always approve.
Aguni: Doesn't buy Takeru stuff BUT leaves vases of flowers he grew on the table for Takeru to find.
O = Orange what color reminds them of their other half
Anything bright and obnoxious reminds Aguni of Takeru—red in particular, which also happens to be Takeru's favorite. And Takeru thinks Aguni has calm and soothing blue-green vibes. Like the ocean, beautiful and serene, but also dark and capable of incredible destruction.
P = Petnames what pet names do they use?
Takeru: All of them. Darling, babe, sweetheart (but he calls everyone those lol). Aguni-specific ones are always over-the-top and ridiculous like "brightest star in all of the heavens..." and he always gets an eye-roll for his efforts.
Aguni: Absolutely does not use pet names. Just says "hey you" or something. Once called Takeru "babe" and Takeru had to stop washing dishes and sit down because he was laughing so hard.
Q = Quaint what is their favorite non-modern thing?
Takeru: I feel like he would collect a ton of vintage stuff—clothes, records, just random little bits and bobs he comes across. But his favorite is definitely his record player—it belonged to his dad, and he keeps it in a place of honor in the hat shop.
Aguni: A set of very old and well-cared-for gardening tools. Takeru got them for him for his birthday, and he legit treasures them.
R = Rainy Day what do they like to do on a rainy day?
Lay on the couch and do literally nothing. Takeru gets the left end, Aguni takes the right, and they binge trash TV shows all day. (And also they make box-mix brownies and eat them straight out of the pan. It's "their thing.")
S = Sad how do they cheer themselves/each other up
Takeru: Aside from all his self-destrictive behaviors (binge-drinking, dangerous situations, etc.) he just really needs a good laugh. And Aguni somehow always manages to make him laugh with an unexpected, deadpan comment. Also, he makes Takeru actually talk through his problems instead of ignoring them...
Aguni: if he's in a bad mood, you just need to let him work through it on his own. He hates being "talked down to" and feels that most attempts at cheering up are cheap, so most people don't attempt. Buf...Takeru is not "most people" and breaks out his most ridiculous jokes to try to get Aguni to crack a smile.
T = Talking what do they love to talk about?
Other people! You know Takeru is the "XOXO Gossip Girl" of the neighborhood, but Aguni...he's like a little old church lady and ADORES hearing all the latest drama.
U = Unencumbered What helps them relax?
Both of them have the same method of relaxation and it's...bubble baths! Aguni does a basic, skin soothing soak and just hangs out in the warm water with a book or maybe just his thoughts to keep him company. But Takeru? He's got some fancy bath soaps, and he takes in a glass of wine and lights a few candles and does a face mask and it's a whole EVENT.
V - Very thoughts about each other
Takeru: Thinks Aguni needs to loosen up and take more risks...but also just loves the guy to pieces.
Aguni: Kinda wishes Takeru would calm tf down sometimes...but also knows that it's just how the guy is and wouldn't dare change him.
W = Wedding when, how, where do they propose?
They're not really the marrying type! They just have a mutual understanding of commitment and that's that.
(But if they did have a wedding... I think it would be a relatively small affair with all their closest friends and family. Like a dinner party, but somewhere extra nice and with lots of good food and alcohol. Intimate and meaningful, with just enough "extra" to satisfy Takeru.)
X = Xylophone What’s their song?
"Total Eclipse of the Heart" because they hid out in a karaoke booth (different from the 24-hour event that Takeru cherishes so much) to es ape the Yakuza and Takeru sang it over and over to pass the time.
Y = You the ___ to my ___ (e.g the cookies to my milk, the macaroni to my cheese)
"Breaking" to my "Entering." The "Assault" to my "Battery." (They both hate this sort of thing and try to come up with the worst answers possible lol)
Z = Zebra if they wanted a pet, what pet would they get?
They already have the cat, Ziggy, who is their perfect little angel.

(Un)Lost
Your mom passed away two weeks ago. When you make the discover that your father is Chris Evans, he accepts you into the family right away.
-
Chris must have sat in the car for fifteen minutes before getting up the courage to go inside your house. He didn’t even know it was your house because he didn’t know you existed, much less who you were to him. He knew it was your mother’s house. Your dead mother’s house. You, at sixteen, had lost your mother and found your father in the same day. And you’d decided to stay with your grandparents for a couple of days until he hopefully showed up at the funeral, which he did. You recognized him because he looked exactly like you, but you also knew him because he was an actor. And you hated that you were about to uproot his life, but you needed a parent, however you could get one. So you stood in your bedroom, your birth certificate in your hands, and paced back and forth.
Your mom, Lauren, had dated Chris for six years. Everyone thought they were going to get married, have you the right way, and be together forever. But he just kept getting gigs and moved out to L.A, and he booked Not Another Teen Movie, and your mom just couldn’t do it. So she kept you a secret, knowing that it would’ve been career suicide for him. You only found out when she died and you needed a copy of your birth certificate to take to the state.
“Are you telling him?” Your best friend since childhood asked. You nodded, turning to him.
“I have to.” You heard the doorbell downstairs. Chris must have just come in downstairs. You braced yourself. You’d told your grandmother that as soon as he got there, direct him upstairs, and you’d take it from there. They were surprisingly supportive of it all, but you had a feeling that they just wanted someone else to pay for your college when the time came.
“Come find me when everything’s over, okay?” Your best friend took you in a hug before leaving your room. You were standing there for another minute, yellow envelope in the center of your bed, when a slightly familiar face knocked on the open doorway. It was Chris. And for a second, you froze. You didn’t want to de-rail his life like this, but after just seeing him, you knew you needed him. You nearly started crying then.
“Hey, Y/n, you’re Lauren’s daughter, right?” He asked. “You might not know me, but your Mom and I dated until up around the time you came around.” You turned around, nodding, and picked up the envelope.
“That’s why I asked you to come up here,” you replied. “I’m sorry I’m doing this now, but I just found out when my mom died, and I thought… I thought you’d want to know.” You handed him the envelope. He looked at you curiously, then started opening the envelope. He looked over the birth certificate first, shaking his head like he didn’t understand, and then his eyes landed on the section about parents.
           Father: Christopher Robert Evans
“What?” He asked loudly. You thought he was angry because it sure sounded that way, and you fell into the armchair that you kept in the corner of the room. “This is impossible.”
“You hooked up right before you left for L.A. to film,” you reminded him. “And my mom didn’t tell you because she didn’t want to ruin your life. And I don’t want to ruin it either, I just really… I just really wanted to know who my dad was. I don’t expect anything, I just wanted you to know.” You stood up again, about to take the envelope from him. His eyes were tearing up. In the past few days you’d done a deep dive on him and you knew he wanted a wife and kids, but you knew he wouldn’t want it this way.
“I’m sorry,” you said. He shook his head, putting the envelope aside, and sat down on your bed.
“No, don’t be sorry, this is…” He blinked back tears and sighed. “God dammit, Lauren.”
“That’s what I said too.” He offered you a small smile. “I only found out after she died and CPS asked for my birth certificate to prove who my grandparents were. And I saw you, and I just…”
“Why didn’t you call me right away?” He asked. “I could’ve been here so much sooner. I could’ve…”
“Because I didn’t want to stress you out more than telling you at your ex’s funeral.” You could see a range of emotions on his face; fear, anger, sadness, happiness.
“Then I guess I’m your dad,” he said as he looked up at you again. “You do kinda look like me. But your mom was always so gorgeous.” You smiled a little. “This is a lot.”
“I know. I’m sorry.” You stood up, to take the envelope back, and he stood up too. He was smiling as he engulfed you in a tight hug. You didn’t know what to do with your hands, with anything, but you hugged him back.
“Then, um… I don’t wanna ask you to leave your mom’s funeral, but would you like to go somewhere else? To talk? You and me?” You nodded.
“I’ve been wanting to get out of here all day.” He smiled and wiped a tear away from his eye with the sleeve of his suit jacket. You went to your closet, grabbed a jacket, and followed him. You went up to your grandmother, explaining that you were going to talk with him, and she just nodded and let you go. You walked to Chris’s car and he let you into the passenger seat.
“I guess your mom’s probably taken you to our old hangout spot, right?” He asked as he started the car.
           “The diner?”
“Yeah.” You nodded and smiled and he started driving toward that direction. “You’re taking this really well.”
“Believe it or not, I was hoping I’d get a chance to talk to you anyway. I mean, I knew Lauren had you, and I knew… I was going to tell you that if you ever needed anyone, I would be there. But now I feel like maybe I should tell you that over some greasy food.”  You couldn’t help but laugh. In ten minutes you were sitting in the diner your mom had basically raised you in, ordering your favorite grilled cheese ever, and you were happy to be with him finally. You’d always wondered what kind of man your father would be, and if the past fifteen minutes were any kind of indication, he was a good guy.
“So tell me about yourself, come on. Give me something to go off of.” You smiled.
“Uhh, well I like theater,” you started. He grinned. “Mom always told me I had to be careful or I would end up in California one day.” He laughed.
“She always hated California. She was ridiculous about it. She always refused to come out there with me.”
“She was scared of planes,” you clarified. “One time we flew out to New York for a weekend and she was freaking out the whole time we were off the ground. She made my hand turn purple because she was holding it so hard.”
“Yeah, she tended to do that. She hated two things more than anything. Flying, and…”
“Flying and George W. Bush,” you finished for him, knowing that was exactly what he was about to say. He chuckled and took a sip of the water he’d gotten. “I never understood why she hated him so much when there are so many terrible people out there and he’s just not the worst.”
“Yeah, I always thought the same thing. But your mom picked her battles. And George W. Bush was just one of her victims.” He took another sip of water.
“So tell me about you. All I know is you’re some big actor guy.”
“I’m no Clooney. I’m shooting a show right now, so I’m out here for awhile. I have a dog, Dodger, he’s my best friend.”
“I always wanted a dog, but Mom never let me get one.” Chris took out his phone and showed you an entire photo album of pictures of the dog. “Aww, he’s so cute!” You said.
“I know, right? He’s the best. You should meet him. You will meet him. ‘Cause we’re family now, kid, whether you like it or not.”
He wasn’t wrong – a week later and you’d worked it out with the courts that you were allowed to live with him, full time. The two of you spent the next full weekend painting a room in his house and hanging out with his dog. Until you moved in two weeks later, he would swing by every night and make you dinner or just come watch a movie with you. Your grandparents supported it, saying that if you were happy, they were, too.
“Pick up that side, I got this side,” he instructed as you were moving into his house. He’d bought you a nice desk for your room when everything was finalized and you could live with him while staying in the same school district, and you were trying to get it up the stairs without scraping the hallway.
“Okay, I think I got it,” you said, helping him pick it up, and ever so slowly you moved up the stairs until you could put it down on a tarp and slide it into your new room. He’d encouraged you to do whatever you wanted with it, so you’d painted it your favorite color, he’d gone to Urban Outfitters with you and helped you pick out a comforter, and it was slowly coming together. It was starting to feel like home, even if all of your things were in the guest room next door.
“And I think we got it, put it down really slow,” he said as you crossed the threshold to your new room. “Good job. I can slide it the rest of the way in.” You helped him put it down and turned your attention to the dog behind you.
“You like it?” You asked Dodger, your new best friend, as you sat down on the tarp with him to pet him. You had turned away from Chris. If you hadn’t you would have seen the massive grin on his face as he saw you, his daughter, with his best friend.
“Alright. I’m gonna go take a quick shower and get ready to head out. I really don’t have to go if you don’t want me to,” he said to you. You stood back up, hugging him from the side. “Really.”
“It’s fine,” you replied. “It’s your job. I’ll be fine for one night, I spent sixteen years without you.” He smirked, messing up your ponytail with his hand.
“Yeah, and we’re making up for that time now.”
           “I’ll be fine.” He sighed.
“That’s my girl.” You watched him go to his room. He was going to New York to record a segment for Jimmy Fallon, and even though he would be back the next day you knew you were going to miss him. He’d already run the questions by you that morning, and most of them were about you. He was prepared to say yes, he found out that he had a daughter, and you were fine with it. You were going to have to get used to having a dad who the whole world knew. You were fine with sharing, really, because it meant that you finally had a father at all.
You let him leave and set the security system. Your mom worked late nights and you had been used to spending the night alone, but Chris’s neighborhood was much better than hers, and his parents were three blocks over if you needed anything. He’d left a debit card so you could order some food for yourself, and after feeding Dodger you settled in on the couch to watch the segment he’d recorded earlier in the day.
“Hi, how are you?” Chris had asked the host as he sat down. Dodger crawled up onto your lap with you, shoving himself underneath your blanket, and laid his head on your chest like he was watching the TV, too.
“Good, good, I’m good,” the host replied. “Now I understand you were in a bit of a shock a couple of months ago, am I right? When you found out…”
“I found out I have a sixteen year-old daughter, yeah,” Chris said in response. “Yeah. Her mom passed away and she found out from the birth certificate and then I found out about the same time she did. It’s been a complete whirlwind, but now I wouldn’t trade her for anything. She’s a good kid. She’s smart, she loves theater like I did when I was her age, she’s an all-around good kid. And I’ve always wanted a family, and just getting one overnight and getting along with her from the instant we met was amazing. It was unexpected, but it was amazing.”
“And you just went all this time without even knowing?”
“Yeah. It’s insane that I just didn’t know about her all this time and it’s crazy because she’s so similar to me. We’re very close in a lot of ways, her personality and sense of humor is very similar to mine. It’s just wild how much we’re alike.”
“That’s amazing! Is she living with you now?”
“Yeah, we actually moved her in a few days ago, we picked up a desk this morning, she’s getting all settled in over the break before she goes back to school in the fall. I’m just lucky that I’m shooting the show I’m working on in Boston, so it’s kind of like a regular nine to five, so we’re getting a chance to learn how to be a family and just get to know each other and make up for all of this lost time.”
“That’s really amazing. Congratulations for all of that, that’s incredible. So go ahead and tell us about the show you’re working on now?” You turned the TV down a little bit, since Chris had told you about his show to the point of nausea. You were glad that the world knew now. You sat up, letting Dodger off of you, and walked into the kitchen to order something to eat for dinner.
“Y/N?” Your dad called the next morning as he walked into the house. He could see that you had been on the couch last night, since the blanket was still un-folded and his debit card was on the coffee table. “Y/n, honey, I’m back!” He walked up the stairs to see you in your room, decorating the wall behind your bed with what had been in your old room.
“Hey, how was it?” You asked him, climbing down from your bed. He walked forward and gave you a hug, like he always did. He was a hugger, you had figured out, and it was fine because you were too.
“Good. It went pretty smoothly. Are you hungry? I was going to make some breakfast.” You nodded.
           “Thank you.”
“We’re family now. And if I can’t make you eggs and bacon, what can I do?” You smiled and watched as he went downstairs. A few minutes later and he was calling your name again, having made a breakfast much bigger than just eggs and bacon. “Did you watch the segment last night?” He asked.
“Yeah,” you responded. “You talked awful highly of me like I wasn’t planning on throwing a massive party last night.” He smirked.
“That’s something I would’ve done when I was your age,” he said. “Really, though. I wasn’t lying. I’m glad I found you, kid. Even if it was by complete accident.” He brushed your shoulder with his. You could tell he was being serious.
“Yeah, I’m glad I found you too.”
A/N: I hope you like it! I thought this was such a cute request so I hope I did it justice 🥺

only fools rush in / part eight: of flowers and freeing words
part one | part two | part three | part four | part five | part six | part seven
TW: sexual innuendo (thanks, Remus), mention of hospital visit, mentions of cancer/chronic illness, VERY vague mentions of domestic abuse, vague mentions of sex, cursing, anxiety attack
chapter summary: Patton reflects on his relationship with Remus, his friendship with Logan, and just... everything.
---
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be
-
Patton wasn’t sure if he believed in fate. Sure, his mom would read him fairytales as a kid and he hoped that someday, he would find where he was meant to be. But he had worked hard to get where he was, taking care of his mom when she got sick, helping to run the flower shop all throughout high school and helping when he could now that he was in college. Everyone he had dated in the past always felt… like a background character, or one of those characters in video games that you only really deal with for one quest and then you don’t see them ever again. A part of his journey, yes, but not someone to join him on the rest of his journey.
And then he met Remus. Remus, who was so unlike anyone he had ever dated, who looked at Patton like he held all of the stars in his hands, who held him so gently after their moments of intimacy that Patton almost felt like a porcelain doll, so fragile, so ready to break in the hands of the person who he loved so dearly, as long as Remus was happy.
It had all happened so quickly; from the moment they met, Patton was in it. Their first date was unlike any other he had ever had, because they both broke down their walls. And as they grew to know each other more, as they progressed physically and emotionally, Patton wanted more and more to believe that Remus was the one he was made for. That, perhaps, Patton Hart, in his mother’s womb all those years ago, was being crafted just so that he could be held tenderly by Remus Creative.
He didn’t want to lose that. He couldn’t bear the thought of it falling apart; perhaps that was why he reacted so negatively to what Roman did during the power outage. For the first time in his life, Patton had something that he was terrified to lose other than his mother, Logan, and the flower shop. And even though Roman was one of his best friends, maybe especially so, he couldn’t bear the idea that the theater major would get in the way of what was, in Patton’s mind, meant to be.
It haunted his every thought, though. When he curled in Remus’ arms, the fresh afterglow settling above both of them, when he sat in his child development classes, when he cut the stems off of the flowers in the shop, it was all he could think of: Roman’s letter. And now he felt guilty for holding this grudge over him, but he didn’t know how to resolve things; until he realized that opening night of the musical was coming up.
-
“Hi, Mama,” Patton said, stepping into the flower shop, Remus in tow. “How are you today?” She swept him up into his arms, pressing kisses into his hair and on his cheeks.
“Much better now that you’re here, darling.” Her eyes fluttered over to Remus, who smiled, holding his hand out, but she pushed it aside and brought him into the hug as well. “Remus, you look very nice.” Remus glanced down at his outfit; he was wearing his dark green suit and had his hair brought back into a bun; it was the opening night of the play and they were making a quick stop before going to see it.
“Thank you, Ms. Hart.” He pressed a kiss to her cheek before stepping away to look at some roses, allowing time for Patton to explain what he needed.
“Yellow roses, Mama. For friendship,” he said thoughtfully, glancing at the vase he had dropped off with her the other day. “The usual fillers are good, though.” He fidgeted with the ends of his pink skirt a little bit. He had also dressed nicely; it was almost like he and Remus had decided to cosplay as Elphaba and Glinda. Patton wore white pumps, a white shirt with a sparkly bow tie was tucked into the skirt, and some sparkly tights. Remus had nearly dragged him into the bedroom when they met up at the apartment earlier. That would have to wait until later, though, because Patton didn’t want to miss a single moment of the musical.
-
Patton cheered louder than anyone for Roman, even louder than Remus (which… seemed impossible, but he managed to do it). The only person who rivaled his deafening cries was Janus, who beamed with joy and proudness whenever Virgil was on stage. And even Logan had to brush a few tears from his eyes at the end of the musical, when the entire audience stood and cheered as soon as Roman stepped out into the curtain call.
After the curtain call ended, Janus, Logan, Remus, and Patton stood expectantly where they knew Virgil and Roman would be coming out. Janus held the bouquet for Virgil, and Patton had the one for Roman. They stood there for a while, watching as families and friends greeted the actors and then left, and soon it was quiet.
“Where are they?” Patton asked hesitantly, and he shared a worried look with Janus. “Do you think Virgil had another anxiety attack?”
“They’re probably just fucking,” Remus muttered, his hands snaking around Patton’s waist, leaning down to press his lips to his earlobe. “Exactly what I’ll be doing to you later tonight, little flower.”
“Re!” Patton flushed hard, batting away Remus with his free hand. Janus smirked, a low chuckle escaping as he watched the encounter with the two. “You keep making moves like that and you’ll get nothing but a door in your face tonight.” Patton was teasing, of course, but Remus stepped back, a hand clapping on Logan’s shoulder as the two discussed a project they had in a mutual class.
Finally, Roman and Virgil stepped out of the green room, their hands intertwined. They were both cleaned of their makeup and costumes, and it occurred to them all that since the two were dressed in intricate costumes and makeup for the tin man and the scarecrow that it would take them a little bit longer to finish cleaning up. Janus moved first, scooping Virgil into a big hug, murmuring how proud he was and complimenting his work. Patton stepped up to Roman hesitantly, holding out the bouquet of flowers.
“You did amazing, Ro,” he said quietly, smiling up at his friend, whose eyes brimmed with tears. Roman took the vase with flowers, then set them on an empty table before hugging Patton tightly, sobbing into the smaller man’s shoulder. “Hey, shh, it’s alright. We’re okay, Ro.” As the two hugged tightly, he felt a pat on his shoulder, and glanced to see Logan, smiling brightly, but shaking his head, as if to say ‘you idiots, I love you.’
“Get in here, nerd,” Roman muttered before pulling the smartest of the three into their hug. Patton didn’t know how long the three stood there for, but when they pulled away, Janus was still hugging Virgil tight. Remus gave Roman a brief hug.
“Proud of you, bro. Though I still say the medieval play in high school was your best,” the mustached twin said, and a look of realization crossed Roman’s features.
“You… saw that play?” he asked, and Remus nodded, confused. “Mom and Dad said you didn’t want to go.”
“I sat in the back corner, but I was so proud of you, Bro-man.” Remus smirked at the nickname he had used in the past for his brother, and Roman laughed, pulling his twin in for another hug. “You did awesome tonight.” Patton apparently had snapped a photo of the pair hugging with his polaroid camera, and thus entered the struggle over who would get to put it on the fridge.
Janus won that fight.
-
Patton sat alone at one of the tables in the schoolyard, his brown paper bag full of goodies that his mom made sure to include. It was scary, starting in a new school halfway through the year, and all of the other kids made fun of the flowers he brought in for his new teacher. Then they made fun of him for wearing a pink sweater, for his big round glasses, and for having long hair that his mom had put into a bun for him that morning before he got on the bus.
So, there he was, second grade, sitting all alone. He didn’t mind, because he knew that when he got home, he’d see his mom, and they’d be safe.
“What are you doing?” A voice said from beside him. He looked up to see a boy with square glasses, neatly combed hair, a polo shirt, and a tie. Patton remembered him as the boy who answered all of the questions during the science part of their class. “This is my table.”
“O-Oh… I’m sorry. I just… didn’t have anywhere else to sit.” Patton looked down, trying to hold in his tears. He didn’t want to be known as the kid who cried on his first day at the school, and his mom always knew when he’d been crying. “I’m s-so sorry…” The other boy sighed, sliding into the seat across from him and setting a book down.
“It’s fine, just stay quiet so I can read, okay Patton Hart?” he asked, and Patton looked up at him through teary eyes.
“Y-You know my name?” His voice was shaky, and he slid his glasses up to sit in his hair so he could wipe his tears with the sleeve of his sweater. The other boy nodded.
“You’re the new kid. You have a frog backpack and a notebook with a kitten on it,” the boy said matter-of-factly. “A little bit frivolous, but if it’s what you enjoy, then there is no harm there.”
“Fribolous?” Patton asked, giggling. “You use a lot of big words.” The other boy sighed again, adjusting his glasses.
“Yes. Frivolous. F-R-I-V-O-L-O-U-S. It’s something that does not have any serious purpose or value,” he explained, and Patton nodded, face deep in thought.
“You know that underwater sea animal, porpoise?”
“I am aware of them, yes. Why do you ask?” he asked, and Patton giggled, having thought of the perfect pun.
“So… if I put a porpoise with serious guy glasses and a tie on my notebook… would it stop being fribolous?” He giggled all the way through his joke, and the other boy groaned.
“That was… awful. Why did you do that?”
“I thought it would be funny,” Patton said, sinking down a little. “D-Do you not like jokes?” He thought about his father, who never made any jokes around him. Who glared at Patton whenever the jokes came out of the small boy.
“I do not think that they lead to important discussions, is all,” he explained, and Patton nodded, taking a bite of his sandwich. Then realization struck.
“What’s your name?”
“Oh. I’m Logan Crofters.”
-
As the weeks passed, Patton stayed sitting at Logan’s table, dishing out puns whenever necessary but mostly asking Logan about different kinds of science-related things. He liked the way that Logan explained things; he made a lot more sense than their teacher, sometimes.
“Am I bothering you?” Patton asked one day. He had slid over his grapes to Logan, who was munching on them between reading paragraphs from a book about frogs.
“What?”
“Am I annoying?”
“No, Patton. you’re not annoying.” Logan seemed a bit exasperated with the question, but he answered it anyway.
“Are we friends?” Patton’s eyes were focused on Logan, it had been so long since he had a friend that wasn’t his mom or one of his many stuffed animals.
“Oh. Um… I don’t know. I’ve never had a friend before.” Logan’s response was curt, and Patton’s jaw dropped.
“What!?” He jumped up from where he was sitting, then ran over to sit next to Logan. “Can I be your best friend, then??”
“Um. Sure?”
“Yay!” He wrapped his arms around Logan tightly.
-
Logan ran into the waiting room of the hospital, finding Patton sitting on a chair, his head in his hands. He approached him quickly, a hand instinctively going to his best friend’s back. “I got here as soon as I could, is she okay?”
“She collapsed, Lo. I just… She went into the back to rinse off the new roses, and when I went to check on her… she was on the ground.” Patton leaned into Logan’s shoulder, tears staining the polo shirt he was wearing. “The doctors say... it might have come back, but they’re running tests.”
“She’s in good hands, Pat. I’m going to text my parents and let them know that I’ll be here with you until she goes home, okay? And then I can be there for you.” Logan’s phone was in his hand, and he sent a quick text.
“Tell me something logical, please,” Patton whispered once the two were seated together, hands twisted together, Patton’s head on Logan’s shoulder.
“Are you sure?” he asked, and just got a nod in return. “Well… logically speaking, a bee should not be physically able to fly–”
“Lo!” Patton was giggling, his grip tightening on Logan’s hand. “You know me so well. Thank you.”
-
The morning after opening night of the musical, Patton entered the apartment, yawning. He didn’t get much sleep thanks to Remus, and he was hoping to take a nap before delving into studying for his final exams. When he entered the apartment, he found Logan sitting at the kitchen table, papers spread out in front of him.
“Hey, Lo. No Janus?” he asked, glancing around. Logan shook his head.
“He went home a while ago. Roman and Virgil are still in bed, though,” he explained, stretching his arms up. “Did you have a good time with Remus last night?” Patton’s face reddened at the question, and he nodded. “Does Hannah like him?”
It still caught Patton off guard whenever Logan referred to his mom by her first name, but they had been friends for almost fifteen years, so of course it made sense. Logan could call her mom, too, if he wanted to. He was there whenever Patton needed him, whenever she had a doctor’s appointment that Patton couldn’t drive her to because someone needed to look after the store.
Patton wondered why Logan did all of this. Sometimes he thought back to that time when he asked him if they were friends, all the way back when they were first getting to know each other. And Patton, little Patton, just… proclaimed them as best friends. Did he shoehorn Logan into their friendship so that he could never branch out?
No, that couldn’t be true, because Logan joined debate and chess and academic decathlon in high school, but still spent all of his free time with Patton. And even once Roman and Janus and now Virgil and Remus entered their lives, he still regarded Patton as one of his best friends.
“Hey, you look like you’re having some troubling thoughts, Patton. Want to talk about them?” Logan’s voice was pulling him back into the present, and he nodded, sitting on one of the stools. He was quiet for a bit, though, and Logan kept writing some notes down until Patton finally started talking again.
“Are you just my best friend out of convenience? Because I claimed you so early on and never really had any other friends? Do you just… stay my friend out of pity?” Patton was looking down until he felt Logan’s hand on his back, and then a laugh came from the usually stoic man.
“Patton, you’re my best friend because everyone else is annoying. If I didn’t want to be your friend I wouldn’t be, you’re a lot to deal with but I’ve been dealing with you for fifteen years and I plan on dealing with you for many more.” Logan’s voice was serious, and Patton could tell that he meant what he was saying. He leaned into Logan, wrapping his arms around his best friend.
“Thanks, Lo. Love ya.”
“Love you too, Pat.”
-
Patton’s arm burned, but in a good way. Underneath the plastic he could see the vibrant colors of his very first tattoo, his mother’s favorite flower and a bee sitting on its petals, to remind him of Logan. He didn’t tell anyone that he was getting it, not even Logan, so when he got home to find Logan sitting at the kitchen table doing homework while talking to his mom, he was surprised.
“Lo? What are you doing here?” he asked, putting his arm behind his back so neither of them could see. He kissed his mother on the cheek before sitting on one of the chairs beside them.
“I came by to study but Hannah said that you went out for something,” Logan explained, pushing his glasses up further on his nose.
“What did you do, baby?” his mother asked, glancing at him carefully. He was still hiding his arm, but he smiled and brought it out, settling it on the table.
“I uh, I got a tattoo, Mama,” Patton said hesitantly. She looked at it carefully, smiling a little bit. “A sunflower. Your favorite.” Logan eyed the tattoo as well, nodding in understanding. “To celebrate you beating the cancer again.”
“Patton, will you take me to get a tattoo?” Logan’s voice was there suddenly, and the two Harts looked at him with surprised expressions.
“Lo, you… want a tattoo?”
“I want to get a constellation tattooed on my shoulder. The one that was in the sky on the day we became best friends.”
-
Patton leaned into Remus’ side, the taller man’s arm wrapped around his shoulders. They were at the cafe, the others having gone home long ago to study or sleep, but the couple stayed long after, chatting with Remy whenever he brought them over refills on their drinks or small pastries. Remus’ grip got a little tighter around Patton each time he shone his signature bright smile at the barista, earning a soft thigh squeeze from the smaller man and a kiss on the cheek. Maybe that was why he did it; not because he was worried about Patton flirting, but because his boyfriend always comforted him with those delicate touches and sweet kisses.
The bell above the door to the cafe rang gently as a few men stepped in. Remus glanced out of the corner of his eye at them, and he thought his heart would stop. “Shit,” he muttered, looking down, earning a confused squeak from Patton. “Shit, we need to go. Right now.” Patton glanced over at the group of men, all dressed in leather, covered in tattoos and piercings, evil smirks on their faces as they noticed Remus.
“Do you know them?” Patton asked softly, and Remus buried his face into the other’s shoulder, a small note of truth escaping his mouth. “Are they…?” He didn’t need to finish the sentence. Patton wasn’t a fool; he could tell by Remus’ body language and the way he tensed up that this was the group of boys he had spent time with in high school. “I’ll go pay our tab, will you be okay?” Remus said nothing but gripped onto Patton tighter, shaking his head.
“Remus Creative,” one of the voices said, dark and gritty, and Remus cringed, looking up at him. Him. “Looks like you found yourself a precious pansy, hm?”
“Fuck off,” his voice was weak, trembling, and the memories of those eyes tore through him.
“Aw, don’t worry, kitten, he’ll tire of you soon enough and you won’t have to deal with his voices and crude comments,” another one said, and Patton considered lunging at him, but held back, because Remus was trembling beside him.
“Everything alright, babes?” Remy was there, thank god, and Patton smiled sweetly at him, taking his debit card out of his pocket.
“Can we pay off our tab, please, Remy? We have to get going,” Patton said, his eyes flickering from the barista to the men, and a wave of understanding seemed to cross Remy’s face, who nodded and took the card, going back to the counter speedily.
“Running away again, Remus?” That voice asked again, and the mustached man shuddered, unable to look away from the grimace on his face. “You were always so good at that.” Patton’s frown deepened, and he glared at the man. “Aw, are you going to try to defend him, little kitten? Trying to be so cool with those floral tattoos–”
“I TOLD YOU TO FUCK OFF!” Remus was standing, his fists clenched, glaring at the men. Patton scrambled to his feet, a hand gripping the back of Remus’ jacket. Remy reappeared, handing the debit card to Patton, placing himself between Remus and the group of men.
“Alright, boys. Get out. You’re not welcome here if you’re going to torment some of my best customers.” His voice was firm, and they all glanced at the ‘Manager’ title on his name tag. “I don’t want to have to call the authorities. Get. Out.” The group scrambled out the door, the bell clanging almost annoying to the three, and Patton’s arms were around Remus.
“Hey, you okay, babe?” he asked, feeling his taller boyfriend shaking, his head low. “Shh, it’s okay, everything is okay, we’re okay.”
“Are you babes gonna be okay?” Remy asked, still standing there, arms crossed as he watched the group of men outside in deep discussion.
“Thank you, Remy,” Remus finally spoke, his voice still low. “If you hadn’t stepped in… I might have done something I’d regret.” Remy smiled, setting a hand on his shoulder.
“Hey, no one messes with my babes like that,” he said before going back to behind the counter. Patton’s lips were against Remus’ cheek, grounding him.
“Let’s go, Re.”
-
Remus woke up, feeling Patton’s arms around him loosely. The smaller man was snoring softly, and Remus smiled, carding his fingers through the fading pink hair. When they got back to his bedroom last night, he needed to be grounded, and Patton was there, being gentle and soft, his hands and lips all over his body until Remus felt relaxed enough to fall asleep.
Patton groaned a bit in his sleep, stretching his arms and legs, his eyes fluttering open to meet Remus’. “Hi,” he said softly, his voice heavy with sleepiness. “Morning, little flower,” Remus said, leaning down to press a stinky-mouthed kiss to his boyfriend’s lips. “Thank you for last night.”
“Oh. Of course, honey. Anything for you,” he said quietly, but Remus could tell something was on his mind. “What did they mean by… you tiring of me, or running away?”
“Before you… I never really had a… committed partner. I’d run at the first hint that things were getting serious, when they said those words, I ran,” Remus explained, looking down. “But… that’s not going to happen with you, Patton. You mean so much to me, you’re… everything to me.”
“Everything?” Patton asked, a smile appearing on his face, his lips pressing to Remus’ cheek and then his neck.
“Patton,” he started, his heartbeat speeding up, and he wondered if the other could hear it because soft blue eyes met his green ones. “I love you.” Patton blinked, absorbing the knowledge, and then his arms were around Remus’ neck, their lips pressing together joyously.
“I love you too, Remus.”
Remus smiled into the kiss. He wasn’t afraid anymore. Patton was there, he was with him, and everything was good. And if things came up, they’d work through them together. They were a team, and they always would be. He kept repeating those words between kisses, the weight from his mouth lifted, and he wished he could have said those words to Patton weeks ago, because it felt so right to say them.

teaser for part nine: and the dark one is soft for the sunshine one
Roman wanted to object, but he knew that Virgil would just remind him of their nights practicing for the auditions, their super early mornings running lines, the way Roman was always there to watch Virgil’s scenes. Virgil was there too, always supporting, always smiling, even when his anxiety got the best of him, even when it was hard to focus.
part nine will be (hopefully) posted on Sunday, September 6 at 12PM PDT

All her life she just wanted Chris to know she was alive. Her mother never gave the reason why she left. She is the oldest of seven children.
____chapter5pt1____
Chris: Last time on Total Drama Island… The Killer Bass finally dodged their pathetic losing streak against The Screaming Gophers. There were bruises, tears, risky moves, and dangerous alliances. And in the end, it was Noah the know-it-all who didn’t see it coming. This week, another challenge will send one more camper on a cruise to Loserville. Population: Four. Who will sink? And who will stay afloat? Find out right now on Total. Drama. Island!
Iris walked back into the cabin after a shower. "Oh no this is bad. Im out of fake tan already." Lindsay said concerned. "Then go ger a real tan." Iris said putting her stuff away. "Oh its so tragic" Gwen said sarcastically looking a little more alive today. "Now I have to actually, like, suntan. In the sun! Do you realize how shriveled and wrinkly that can make your skin? Oh, you totally do." Lindsay said now by Gwen. I roll my eyes placing my hair in a ponytail. "See you ladies in the mess hall." Iris said leaving the crazy. "Oh off to find your delinquent boy toy. " Heather tried to get under my skin. "He at least I have a joystick. You should find one maybe you wouldn't be a stuck up bitch all the time." The girls laughed as I left. "That white girl is alright in my book." Leshawna said.
[over loudspeaker]: "All right, campers! Enough beauty sleep! Time to show us what you’re made of!" Chris said
The campers made it to a make shift out door theater.
(Confessionals)
Iris
"I actually have a good feeling about this. Ever since I was little Dad and mom would take me to see musical and plays. I grew up a theater kid just something about it made it so magical."
*static*
(End of Confessionals)
Lindsay: Are we gonna see a musical? I love musicals. Especially the ones with singing and dancing. Heh." She asked amazed. I had to chuckle at this poor girl.
Trent: Gwen! Saved you a seat." He said moving aside for her. That is adorable I'm happy for them.
Gwen: "Thanks." She said sitting down next to him.
Cody: "W-W-Whoa! Uh, heh." Oh Cody you poor soul. She wont go for you give up already.
*Lindsay blows kiss *
Uhoh someone is braking the rules hahaha poor girl can't see the bitch she is helping.
*Heather turns and waves her ponytail in Lindsay's face. *
As I said bitch.
Lindsay: Oh! [spits out a wave of Heather's hair] "Hey Lindsay come sit with Me and Duncan." I said she got up and sat with us.
Chris: Welcome to our brand new deluxe state-of-the-art outdoor amphitheater! Okay, this week’s challenge is a summer camp favorite. A talent contest!" This made me happy.
Owen: Yes! Awesome!
Chris: Each team has eight hours to pick their three most talented campers.[Katie and Sadie squeal.] These three will represent them in the show tonight. Sing, dance, juggle. Anything goes, as long as it’s legal.[Duncan snaps his fingers.] You’ll be judged by our resident talent scout, former DJ, VJ, and rap legend, Grand Master Chef, who will show his approval via the Chef-o-Meter.[ding ding ding ding ding ding] The team that loses will send one camper home tonight. Good luck.
[whistle blows]
Heather started saying she was the captain. "Who said this Chika" I asked Gwen second it. "Beth and Lindsay"She said crossing her arms. "Fear is not the way to go Heather." I said and everyone backed me. "We shall see halfbreed." She said as I sat down .
It was Trent,Heather and Iris in the talent show for the Gophers.
For the Bass it was Courtney, DJ, Geoff.
Why we were killing time watching the other talents. Heather got ahold of some secrets that she was about to spill.
Cody: What you got there, a journal?
Gwen: Beat it.
Cody: Oh, I get it. Yeah, it’s private, huh? I’m down with that, yeah. It’s cool, brah.
Gwen: What part of beat it don’t you understand?
Cody: [sniffs]
Gwen: What are you, some kind of freak?
Cody: Y-you just… smell… really… pretty.
Gwen: It’s just… soap.
[guitar playing]
Gwen: I won’t even ask.
[guitar playing resumes]
Heather: Look! The first hook up of the season.
Gwen [sarcasticaly]: Oh yeah. We’re going at it big time. I need a swim just to cool off.
[door slams]
[door slams]
Cody groans
Trent: Gwen, wait up! I’ll come with you.
Gwen: Sure. I mean… whatever.
Chris [loudly]: It’s the TDI Talent Extravaganza! [normal voice] Welcome to the very first Camp Wawanakwa… Talent Contest. Where six campers will showcase their mad skills and desperately try not to humiliate themselves. First up for the Screaming Gophers… is Iris.
Iris walks out (a outfit that looks like Melanie from pokemon 2000. The Island maiden.) She started to play on her Ocarina my heart will go on.
It got a seven on the Chef-o-Meter.
Chris: First up for the Killer Bass… make some noise for the big guy! DJ!
[clapping]
Tyler: Woo-hoo!
Katie and Sadie: Yaaaay! Wooo!
[spiritual music]
[swirls]
[whips]
[thud]
Duncan: Ooh-hoo-hoo…
Katie: Gah!
[stretching]
[snaps]
Chris: Dainty and yet masculine. Let’s see what Grand Master Chef thinks.
[ding ding ding]
Chris: Not much.
Chris: So, with two down and four acts to go, it’s the Screaming Gophers… screaming ahead. Next on deck… Trent. Take it away, my bro.
Trent: This one goes out to someone special here at camp.
[guitar playing]
[Trent]
They say that we’ve only got summer
And I say that’s really a bummer.
But we’ll swim in the sun and have lots of fun…
It’ll just be the two of us…
Nothing to do… just hang…
So let me say only this…
Stick around… for just one kiss…
[clapping]
[ding ding ding]
Chris: Nice work! I’m liking your style, dude. And so does Grand Master Chef!
[clapping]
Chris: All right, quit hogging my light, buddy.
[objects tumbling]
Chris: Three down and three to go and the Killer Bass are totally sucking so far. Let’s hear it for Bridgette!
[clapping]
Courtney: Are you sure you can do this?
[stomach rumbling]
Bridgette[with her stomach rumbling]: Ooh. Definitely. No, uh, I’m great. Really. [She burps a few times]
[splash]
Screaming Gophers gasp and moan
Bridgette moans and projectile vomits loudly
Courtney and Heather gasp
Owen: I’m hit! I’m hit!
Bridgette projectile vomits loudly
Katie screams and vomits
Bridgette projectile vomits loudly
Lindsay [loudly] :Hey, puke on your own boyfriend!
Heather: On your own what, Lindsay?
Lindsay [quickly]: I didn’t say, boyfriend.
Chris [nasally] :Clean up in aisle three, four, five, and six! [normally] In the meantime, we’ll take a short break to hose the joint down.
[elevator music]
(Confessional: Bridgette)
Bridgette: Going home won’t be so bad… I-I can always work at the surf shack.
(Confessional Off)
Chris [loudly] : Welcome back to the TDI Talent Extravaganza! [normally] Welcome back. Okay. So in a strange turn of events, Bridgette’s chunk-blowing fest registered two thumbs up by Grand Master Chef. But, it’s not enough to pull ahead the Screaming Gophers, who held the lead with Trent’s love song. So, without further delay, here she is for the leaders… Heather!
[clapping]
Heather: Originally, I was going to dance for you. But instead, I want to celebrate team spirit, with a collaboration.
Iris saw what was in her hand. She started sweating.
Heather: So, with words by Gwen, performance by me, enjoy. [clears throat] Originally I thought he would be different. Even though mom says that my father and I are alike I don't see it. He said I remind him of someone her knew long ago but she left. I found that odd because I was alwats told he left. It doesn't matter either way because I know that Chris Mclean is 100% my biological father. " she said then handing my birth certificate to Chris who looked at me shocked. I got up and ran. Thats not how I wanted him to find out.
Heather: Thank you.
Courtney: [to Bridgette] That was so mean.
Bridgette: Seriously.
Chris: Well then, it’s down to the final act of the night. Can Geoff and his rad stunts turn it around? I seriously doubt it. Let’s find out.
[crashes]
Geoff: Whoa… that kinda wrecks the ride.
Bridgette [nervously] : Now what?! We have to send someone out there or we’re going to lose this!

I got a sling and new braces today. Somewhat mixed on this. The sling helps keep me in place and from overdoing things. But the whole get up is uncomfortable and confining.
Today was tough. I reached level 8 pain where I curled up in my car and cried, tried not to throw up. The ativan and tylenol eventually kicked in.
Madison guy met me halfway today. We started w brunch then a walk around the mall, then we saw Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Loved it. Italian kiss in its direction.
But I was having trouble walking all day. Mg didn't hold doors open for me as I used my cane to get around. Didn't ask me if I needed to sit and rest. I'm quite capable of saying those things, but isn't it just... considerate??
When I lost my silver splint ring, he didn't offer to go back to the restaurant with me to look for it. I found it, it got run over. No idea if it's salvageable.
The theater had awful seats. For two hours I was stuck in a terrible seat w limited movement. Then my arm got worse. I tried curling up to him for comfort or holding his hand. Nothing. No response. Ooookay.
Movies are difficult for me in theaters. It takes me a while to stand up and walk without assistance. I specifically said hey, wait, I'm moving slow. He just said okay and kept walking.
I was quickly having a panic attack, in a lot of pain, and I had an hour drive home ahead of me. Mg walked me to my car because he had stuff in it. He gave me a gentle hug and tried to crank some jokes from the movie. I smiled and said goodbye, then got in my car and started crying. I called my sister, who jumped in to calm me down. Eventually I was well enough to drive, get gas, drive more, then get home and to to walmart and kohl's with my dad.
I bought my new accoutrements there.
I'm just super tired and debating calling things off with this person. He only seems interested when we talk about a shared kink. After that, that's about it. Maybe he can be a good friend.
My arm feels better but I've been icing, elevating, and resting it. I also ate some edibles and took prednisone and another ativan. I've been fighting to stay calm all night.
I painted a bit though. That was nice.
To quote Sara B...

There's always tomorrow.

the opening, with Clint, teaching his daughter to shoot a bow, and then his family dying. I was crying. weeping. wasn’t sobbing yet.
tony and nebula playing paper football was great. thank you. like we got to see tony and nebula interact and nebula was stiff and awkward but not trying to kill Tony and Tony totally let her win and I love him for it. so much. I'm crying again. it's fine.
!!!!!!!!!!!!! rocket and nebula holding hands was so sweet!! it really shows you how upset they are cause of !!!!!!!!!!! yeah and nebula lost her sister, and then the rest of the Avengers. she failed.she couldn't even avenge her sister. and rocket. lost Groot once? and now it's even more painful. and he lost the rest of the guardians. and they only have each other now and I'm going to die
tony saying “I lost the kid” came into my house and shot me point blank in the chest
Tony yelling at Steve and throwing a fit was not what I expected and it upset me cause it was like watching your parents argue before the divorce. but yeah he was justified i believe.
Carol showing up was great and i loved her and Thor interacting!!
The first 20 minutes came into my house and shot me in the head cause that’s not how i was expecting this movie to go and I love it
Thanos destroying the stones. it makes sense now but before i saw the movie i never would’ve thought of it!!!
A rat saves the universe. Okay but how did strange know that the rat would do it like??? time magic wibbly wobbly stuff i guess
Also scott being the one to come up with the plan!! Love it!! ANd poor cassie!!
TONY STARK HAS A DAUGHTER! SHES  ADORABLE AND ID KILL FOR HER TBH
I WANNA SEE MORGAN AND PETER INTERACT OKAY BYE
I’m trying to remember the order it happened like?? its so much but im not complaining!!!
yeah just time travel. not what i was expecting
OKAY SO
Steve, scott, and tony go back to 2012-the first avengers movie. Loki gets the Tesseract, and he disappears. that prompts tony seeing his dad and steve seeing peggy in 1970
but
Thor and rocket go to The Dark World movie. who cares what year. but it’s after 2012-the avengers. YOU SEE LOKI THERE. how? why? did they explain it and i missed it? is loki going to pop back up somehwere? I’m confused? is loki going to end up alive like gamora did? its past gamora brought into the present? its past loki brought into the future by him not being on that ship when thanos comes for the tesseract? how does the dark world happen w/o loki? how does Ragnorok happen? I am confusion. time travel logic confuses me unless its back to the future time travel logic.
Okay so the hulk. I’m cool with this development, I feel like the last movies with the hulk were leading up to this and it wasn't just hastily written into canon unlike somethings *cough* clint’s family in Age of Ultron *cough cough* what with the hulk leaving in age of Ultron and then him Ragnarok and his character in infinity war
my dad, on the other hand, is not going to be happy. I already texted him. He’s not happy with me
Okay so the ancient one already knew about strange??? like?? But then it leaves her and bruce not fighting and she’s like, “ well he must’ve had a reason” and i respect that
also the wizards fighting in 2012 was wrapped up in a nice little bow
steve fighting steve was great
steve being a smart cookie and saying “hail hydra” was neat but now the hydra dude are going to be confusion? and poor past steve, he has to fight himself and he heard “bucky is alive” hell think it was a joke and then when bucky is alive the guilt;’( i would feel guilty anyways) also i expect lots and lots of fanfic for me to read about steve finding bucky faster
Tony getting to talk to his dad!! Im so happy!! It s so great!! if only he got to see his kid again before he died!!
natasha... and clint.... i....
i watched the first avengers movie when i was aboutttt 10? i remember seeing nat kick ass. I loved their interactions. I . I knew she was going to be the one to die. i knew as soon as i saw them and only them there. the writers weren’t going to kill clint cause he was trying to get his family back nad they already established that the avengers was nat’s family. i cried then. im crying now. but seeing thise two genuinely willing to die so the other didn't?? that’s some good shit you can @ me if you like. and i dont feel like it took away from nat’s character. did tony’s sacrifice take away from his? no. no it didn’t  i just wish that there had at least been clint lighting a candle for her at the end of the movie. some form of recognition. but thats what fics are for i guess
also her words were “see yall in a sec” or smthg like that before they all went into the past  and im not okay
this ended up being longer than i intened.... im not even finished yet... ill just hit the high highlights from here on out
loki. love him. can’t wait to see more him
they really hyped up captain marvel wayyyyyy too much for my taste but she’s still badass and i love her
the peter and tony hug i was very grateful for but at that moment i knew tony was going to die. and so i cried twice as hard
pepperoni being the strongest they’ve ever been and I'm fucking here for it
or well i was...
steve wielding thor’s hammer (i cant spell, sue me) was great and i was happy all the way Up until his shield broke
tony’s funeral as really well done. the arc reactor pepper gave to tony, Harley being there, everyone being there. it was good. i cried. really loud. so yeah. his hologram. he fucking planned for dying so im not okay
also strange and the whole “if i tell you it won’t happen” what did that mean? that if he tells tony that tony will die he won’t snap??? uhhh sounds fake but okay marvel
peter is so going to have a shit ton of nightmares from when he was hugging the gauntlet on the ground and then the badass ladies coming to save him
great scene by the way 9/10. would be 10/10 but no Natasha
i wanna see harley and peter interact and be great big brothers to morgan
Steve going back in time was some utter fucking bullshit. that deserves it’s own rambling post from me so watch out for that mess i’ll post at a later date
all in all(that wasn’t everything I assure you I'm just tired)
I loved the movie. It didn’t let me down like Age of Ultron did. It seemed, to me anyways, to have fewer comedy moments than many of the earlier movies which is to be expected. I did not see the plot line with the time travel and the five year time skip though. I was not expecting that at all. thoroughly enjoyed it though, cause I had no expectations on what was going to happen. They kept dead/present! gamora dead but replaced her with past! gamora which im cool with i want more sisterly bonding with her and nebula and i can’t wait to see her and quill interact again. no bringing nat back, which i would’ve felt cheap if they had tried. like she sacrificed herself so clint could be with his family. if they could’ve just brought back whoever had died, it takes the weight away from the decision and cheapens her death. same with tony’s. i hate it so fucking much but the symbolism and the poetics ending of him anwsering thanos’s “I am inevitable” at the end of the film (which past-in-the-present him parroted from past present him the beginning of the film) with “I am Iron man” from the first film I just.... fucking died and ascended. my body left my soul... I lovedit. And the parallels with peter and him and peter died last time, tony died this time. Im not crying, you are. and yeah..
I hated it so much. But they did it really well. and pepper told him he could rest now.
Basically. It was a great movie. was it perfect? no. but what movie is? This movie was great and you can fight me on it thank you and good night <3

Story time?
okay so
this was in June right
so I had to make a video for history about the progression of music and fashion or something and I dont know anything about making videos but my sister does so I was like “hey if I make the whole script find all the audio and the pictures can you put it together for me?” and she was like lol sure and my mom didnt really care cause it was the end of the year and like there was no way I could have done it but in exchange I had to do her science project for her which was building a bottle rocket
now I had done w=this project when I was her age, literally within 48 hours before it was due with one of my friends in her basement. the rocket itself was terrible and only went 29 feet in the air cause we didnt put the fins on right or give it a point at the nose cause we couldn't figure it out (we were in honors science and were graded on how high it went and everyone else went like 80+ feet) but it looked amazing cause it was painted as starry night. so im like alright this is my chance to redeem myself.
so I ask her what she wants it to look like and like the mean girls soundtrack had just recently come out and we were both obsessed (her more than me) so she says “mean girls” and im like cool okay I got this. so I painstakingly glue the bottles together perfectly straight (and I got a nice hot glue gun burn from that on my forearm cause I cant use a hot glue gun, its a perfect circle and looks like a cigarette burn) and then I sand them and mix the paint together to achieve Mean Girls Pink and paint “on Wednesdays we wear pink” in the lettering on the side, glue on pink glitter, make a pointy piece for the top, measure the fins to the perfect proportions and slap em on there like I spent a good 5 hours on this thing. so they launch the rocket at school right and guess how many feet it goes? 534 now im no math expert but thats way higher than 29, so I redeemed myself.
anyway though my sister is still editing my video and it ends up taking 20 hours, she was up until like 2 am on several school nights finishing it and im like hmmm this isnt exactly a fair deal here cause shes like hecking pissed at me for making her do this even though I made a fantastic rocket but whatever
so im like wellll see she wanted to see mean girls and I did too kinda (although mainly cause ben Iain and denarius but thats cause I saw all of them in newsies) and im like alright its coming up on summer I got some cash saved up for my laptop fund lets see if I can find some cheap ones
so I search and find some cheapish like 70 dollar ones for some Wednesday in the end of august that were way back in the mezzanine and im like cool okay yeah I can pay for this
so im like “yo dad my sister put way more work into my video than I did into her rocket and I wanna buy her mean girls tickets as a thank you” and hes like “...... okay ill look into it”
keep in mind at this point the video isnt even being done edited.
so my dad has given me approval for this even after a few days and hes kinda talked with my mom about it so im like “hey cool” and the video gets done being edited and its great I got an 88 on it, didnt have to take the final, everyones happy
and so im like “dad mean girls tickets I wanna buy them soon before the prices go up” cause the Tony awards were like that weekend and if they won anything they were gonna be more expensive
and hes like “yeah so we've been thinking it would be way easier for you to go see it that weekend where were already in the city”
so I thi k at this point it was like idk, June 13 maybe ?? and I was gonna be in the city the 23, 24, and 25 cause I had a show and we were gonna be staying overnight
and im like “dad, thats gonna be expensive”
and hes like “yeah I know but it makes more sense this way cause then we dont have to pay to get into the city and parking and all that stuff and me and mom decoded that we can pay for it” which, for all you who dont know, its a 25 dollar toll to get into ny plus like 30 to 50 dollars parking plus food and all that other stuff and its just kinda a hassle
so im like “alright cool” and so literally the night before the Tony awards me and my dad are sitting picking out tickets. they were in the mezzanine, left side, 4 rows from the bak on the aisle, but its a small theater so like dossent matter.
so we got the tickets and the next night me and my sister watch the Tonys and shes like freaking out cause “oh my god mean girls is amazing I wish we could see it” and im like “holy shit were going to see this” cause it was a surprise for her
and so for the next week or so I have to keep this a secret from my sister which was so damn hard cause it was all she would ever talk about
and so then its time to tell her
and its the last day of her school (mine got out 2 days before) and my mom knew I was gonna tell her that night so we got to target and I pick her out this cool outfit it was like flowy pants and a shirt and a necklace and I think we got her a bag and I had bought this cool jumpsuit a few weeks ago and im like getting excited cause its Wednesday and were going Saturday
so shes in the shower and I cut out all these letters in various shades of pink that say “I see stars, so many stars Saturday night” cause like we were going Saturday night and like stars like broadway stars get it and I hang them up in the kitchen with the tickets and the outfit and surprise her and she was essntially like “oh my god whats happening”
and then
the day
so I had a show that weekend with my company in the city thats why I was there and on Saturday we had to take a class from 5;30 to 7 and then there was going to be a show that night that we were going to so I get special permission to miss the show and go to mean girls cause like d u h and so it was literally so insane I got out of my class, grabbed food, me and my sister and my dad ran up 11 city blocks to out hotel quick ate showered got changed and made it to the theater literally at 7:56
and then the show started and I cried and it was so amazing and just me and myself sister went so like we were squeezing each others hands really tight the whole time and Iain young was swinging and our dad let us stage door and just holy hell it was amazing
and the next day I had a rehearsal at 8 am
and that is the story of how I saw mean girls

MVP Recap
Ok, guys.....sorry this is late but I 100% waited until today to do this because #1 It’s faster to type it on the computer than on the phone and #2 I’m now getting paid to do this.  (Who’s the real winner here).  Also....I can post this with a fancy page break so it doesn’t hog everyone’s feed.  But before the break....have a pic......
Tumblr media
(As per my now usual.....I will post about my experience more than the dances, because you can find those online or will be seeing them yourselves.)
To start off the day, I finally got to meet My Girl and it was AMAZING!  We met at her hotel then went to dinner.  As we predicted, the girls were instant besties and so were we.  (I love it when a plan comes together).  When we got to dinner the girls sat with My Girl and I sat with her hysterical mom, Nonna.  We had good food and good conversation and it was really nice to have a meal with “my people” and discuss DWTS the entire time.  The best part, however, was Nonna telling me no less than 7 times “I don’t like-ah that Maks.  He’s a jerk”.  (read that in a thick Italian accent).
Tumblr media
(Abbie killed it with this selfie)
After dinner, we found our way to the theater.  I was no help, of course, because I don’t do downtown even though I’ve lived here for 34 of my 38 years.  As we were looking for parking we saw the buses straight ahead, lining both sides of the street.  We saw Ivan outside smoking (wtf dude) and JT.  Once we parked, moved the car to a different spot, and took selfies, we made our way to the theater.  As we were walking up we saw a guy with big girly hair standing by Val’s bus talking on the phone. We were all like “OMG....is that Val?!?!”.  The girls and I started booking it and got closer, that wasn’t Val but OMG HOLY CRAP he was right there in front of us!!  We attempted to approach him and the worlds grumpiest security guard stopped us in our tracks.
Tumblr media
(Seriously.....look at her looking at me like I’m gonna rush him or something!  Trust me when I say she plays a theme throughout the night and imagine that face any time I mention “Bitchy Security Guard” or “BSG”.)
Well.....Val didn’t take too kindly to his fans being treated that way and told us to come take pics but that we had to do it quick because he needed to get inside to get ready.  I have to say....much like Brandon, pictures do not do this man justice.  He is really really really good looking in person.  I mean REALLY.  Gahdamn, Valentin.
Tumblr media
(Notice the guy in the red flannel who is NOT Maks and will not be Maks at any point in the evening no matter how many times we thought he was)
Y’all be proud of Abbie.....she was given strict instructions of things she was banned from saying (I hate Jenna because she STOLE you from me.....and You used to be my favorite but now you’ve been replaced because Jenna STOLE YOU).  Girl handled herself like the sane fangirl we all knew she could be and didn’t even cry.
Tumblr media
(Notice the death grip she has on him)
She showed him her purse and “may” have scared him a tad.  He went “Whoa!”
Tumblr media
(She keeps shirtless Val in the center.....because Mama ain’t raising no fool)
After we met Val.....and I failed to remember that I was lugging his book around in my damn purse and forgot to get it signed (I win at life, I swear), we were told exactly where we were allowed to stand and if we so much as took a deep breath, BSG reminded us that we weren’t allowed to move from that spot.  Then she would sigh and roll her eyes at us.  We tried to see other cast but it was getting chilly and windy (scroll back up and look at the chick’s pony in the pic of BSG) and it was getting closer to show time so they were all inside.  Before we left we did get to see Katie the Nanny taking Shai from the venue to the bus.  He is freakin adorable!  His little curls and his little wave to his adoring fans were on point!  I do not have a picture of this because #1 It happened super quick and #2 It’s not my baby and that’s kindof weird and intrusive and BSG was still side eying us and I’m pretty sure she would have taken my phone and deleted all the pics or something in retaliation.  She was seriously bitchy and hated her job.
We got inside the venue and hit the merch stand.  We all got our shirts (to my surprise, Abs picked the white tour tee instead of the Team Val tee).  We found our way upstairs, got drinks, and found our seats.  They were pretty decent seats except for we had to sit forward to see the very front of the stage if they laid down (a few times) and couldn’t see them picking the people out of the audience.  The show was, of course, amazing.  In my opinion, it was better than the DWTS show.  Those Chmerkovskiy’s can dance!!!!  I’ve heard that Peta is amazing live, but that doesn’t do her justice.  She truly is the queen and literally commands the stage when she’s on it.  There were moments of great group numbers, moments of hilarity (the dad dance and the stripper section), and gut wrenching serious moments.  It really does tell a story through dance and we all loved it.  What you probably don’t see in the YouTube videos of the dad dance is Kiki has twins.  Abs is still laughing about those twins and when the baby sneezes and Maks yells “It got in my eye!”.  During the Chippen Val/Magic Maks section they pull up the lady out of the audience.  Let me tell you.....that lady was living her best life.  She was so funny!  Throughout the show we were annoyed by the group behind us.  There were about 8 or 10 of them and they talked the entire show.  I’m not talking quiet respectful whispers.....these bitches were straight up chit chatting.  I did giggle at one point because the oldest of them was totally Team Nonna.  They were doing their first talking section and this chick pipes up with “I’ve always hated Maks.....he’s such an arrogant jackass”.  During the super emotional break up section....it was so quiet in there you could hear a pin drop.  I had been annoyed the entire show, but at this point I started to get a little concerned that because it was so quiet in there (that section is riveting) that Maks and Peta would actually hear these bitches trying each others wine in an attempt to figure out which one had the tastiest.  Seriously y’all.....they were SO LOUD!  At this point, I turned around and said “PLEASE stop talking!”.  They shushed to heated whispers through the rest of the show but if one of us so much as looked at each other they’d say “NO TALKING!”.  At the end of the show they got up and left during the final bows (seriously the rudest group of drunk bitches ever).  I booked it out after the show to pee.  Abs didn’t have to so she went to stand outside of the bathroom to wait for the rest of our group.  I hear “That’s HER!” and look over and these bitches were WAITING for me to come out of the theater!  They start yelling “We are at a concert!!!  Talking is expected in this type of situation!  And you were rude too!!!”  (of note....no one ever said they were rude)  Abs is looking at me with huge eyes and I was like “Wait...how was I rude!  You know what...never mind....Abbie get over here!”.  I drug her into the bathroom still completely appalled at their behavior.  Be proud that I was an adult and didn’t engage.  Once all of our group was done, and these bitches are still standing there waiting, we just kind of grabbed the girls put our heads down and booked it out of there.
We got outside and went to stand by the buses again.  BSG was still manning her post and was quite possibly in an even worse mood than before.  She seriously hates fans.  She should probably look into different employment.  Thankfully we had a different security guard posted to our standing area.  He was funny and nice and roughly the size of a mountain range.  He didn’t seem to be that huge of a guy but he had a chest and shoulders that somehow blocked the entire sidewalk.  He also must know us (is our picture up in these venues or something) because dude kept a super close eye on Abs.  She must have looked shifty to him.  He’s a smart man and I wish I would have taken a pic with him.  We stood there and stood there and stood there some more.  We had met Val, but wanted to talk to him again (because my damn book) and Makayla really wanted to meet Peta.  My goal was to meet Val (for Abs of course....ha) and meet either Maks or Peta to personally give them Shai’s hat.  Peta came out loaded down with bags and went to the bus.  She came back out and headed our way to go into a different door (probably to get food, they all went in there) and said she’d come back.  While we were waiting, we saw quite a few of the dancers coming out.  Ivan was standing there talking to a crew member and since no one else would pipe up I yelled his name.  He waved and I asked for a picture.  He was super nice and came over (Mt. Everest was amused by this).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After meeting him, both girls (and the rest of the small crown of about 15-20) were oohing and aahing over how good he smelled and I realized that my damn sinuses are still acting up and I didn’t smell anything.  I thought back to meeting Val (when both girls had the same reaction) and I thought my lack of smelling him was just because we caught him before the show and he wasn’t freshly showered.....apparently my inconspicuous deep breaths when I was standing with him were just fail. I’m super salty about this.  Seriously.....I may not ever be ok with the fact that I didn’t smell Val.  Shortly after we met Ivan, we saw Emily standing there.  She also came over when I got her attention and asked for a picture.  Mt. Everest was again amused by me while the others were plotting how they could always manage to be by me at bus meets because I not only recognized everyone by name, but was brave enough to call them over.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think it was at this point that My Girl’s girl was attempting to convince her mom that they should come to Jax to do all tours with me and Abs.......I don’t think she was successful.  Lol.   At some point in this process, we saw JT a few more times.  I really wanted to get a pic with him.  I yelled his name and he threw a half hearted wave, then looked over and said “Oh Hey” and waved harder.  He did not come over for a picture.  He must actually have recognized me....he was like “Yep...that’s a nope all day long, that bitch is cray”.  He has since been relieved of his best friend duties....but it’s ok because Nicole and Alyssa (Serge’s gf) have agreed that they are better choices anyways.
Finally.....the queen emerged and came right over to our group.  She is strikingly beautiful in person and so so so tiny.  She could probably share clothes with Abs!  I gave her a hug and told her I had made a gift for Shai for his morning inspections.  She laughed and then peeked in the bag.  She awe’d and thought it was adorable!  (Totally winning at life here).
Tumblr media
She chit chatted with our group for a bit and talked about how they had had to adjust and reblock that day because the stage was a tight squeeze (which explains all the rehearsal stories) and lamented the weird lights outside that went from normal to pink to red (which is why the pics are kindof weird).  Abs asked where Maks was and she laughed and said she had no idea and that she hadn’t seen him since bows.  As she left she thanked me again for the hat and said she’d post it on insta.  I’m really hoping he’ll wear it (toddlers are iffy on hats....and all things really) but I’m pretty sure she’ll post it some how if he won’t wear it.
Tumblr media
(Of note....I could smell her.....she smells like a girl.....flowery lotion.  It makes me more salty)
We waited a bit longer and still no sign of Maks or Val.  It was getting late and even more chilly and windy and we decided to call it quits at 11.  The time came and after me having to snap at Abs (she is a determined fangirl), we made our exit with the agreement that one of the remaining group would watch us until we got to the corner and they’d yell Maks’ name real loud so we could come running back.  Mt. Everest thought this was hysterical and kept waving to us while we walked off looking back every 5 seconds.  We made our way back to the hotel, I was again no help because while I can confidently get myself home from downtown....the hotel was on the other side of the river and I had no idea how to get there.  The girls were passed out approx 37 seconds into the drive home.  When we got there Nonna popped out of the van and looked down and saw her shirt button was undone.  She goes “Oh look at me, all naked!”  I died.  She is the best and I might steal her.  We sadly said our goodbyes and Abs and I headed home.  After I got home (about 11:45) I went to check and saw @loveisstatic was the lone hold out and got to meet Maks.  I bet she really got the wrath of BSG for waiting so long.  (Girl...you gotta vouch for me on BSG....she was serious!)  All in all, we had the absolute best time and I can’t wait to do it again.....next year.....after my wallet stops crying.

Season 1, Episode 4-- Love and Loss
Google Doc
[Inside a local coffee shop. Day. Christine and Victor are sitting at a table. The faint bustle of the cafe can be heard]
CHRISTINE
Thanks for agreeing to meet with me. Even if you’re insisting on recording it.
VICTOR
Well, you texted asking if I wanted to get coffee even though I never gave you my number, so I'll admit I was a little hesitant.
CHRISTINE
A girl's gotta have hobbies. Also the internet exists.
VICTOR
...That doesn't exactly reassure me.
CHRISTINE
I'm sure not much does nowadays.
VICTOR
…What do you want from me?
CHRISTINE
Nothing. But I think we both have some questions.
VICTOR
Yeah, absolutely.
CHRISTINE
I'll go first. Tell me about Erik.
VICTOR
...Who?
CHRISTINE
Right, you probably don't know him by that name. Let me rephrase it. Tell me about your son.
VICTOR
[Clearly knowing exactly what she’s talking about] I-- I don’t know what you’re talking about.
CHRISTINE
Please, Victor, I know what happened. I just wanna hear your side of it.,
VICTOR
...How much do you know?
CHRISTINE
Just what he told me. The experiment, the fire. That you left him.
VICTOR
Listen, that’s--
CHRISTINE
That’s what, Victor? You abandoned him, you left him to die, you--
VICTOR
I was scared, okay?! I was nineteen, I-- I was a kid! In case you haven’t figured it out, I wasn’t exactly the picture of perfect mental health! I set fire to a public fucking building! That alone ruined my life, forget about what happened after! Did it tell you about that?
CHRISTINE
Yes, he did.
VICTOR
Then forgive me if I’m lacking in empathy. My friend, my boyfriend, and my family are all dead, and the only other person I have has been in a coma for almost a year. Maybe I handled the situation wrong, but it has taken everything from me.
CHRISTINE
What’s their name?
VICTOR
What?
CHRISTINE
Your friend in the coma. What’s their name?
VICTOR
...Henry.
CHRISTINE
How did you meet?
VICTOR
...We were in the same class in first grade. There was this kid who would always ask for my lunch, and I was too nice to tell him no. So after recess one day, Henry put a pocketful of worms in his desk.
CHRISTINE
Solid strategy.
VICTOR
It worked. I never had a problem again, and Henry and I were inseparable ever since.
CHRISTINE
And what’s your favorite memory with him?
VICTOR
Look, this is sounding suspiciously like a therapy session, and I don’t think--
CHRISTINE
Please, just humor me. Tell me something about him that you can hold onto when things get hard.
VICTOR
...We were twelve. I was asleep, but… you know in those bad romance movies, when the guy will throw pebbles at the girl’s window to get her attention? That’s what he did. I didn’t have my glasses on, so I could barely tell that it was him. But after I let him in, I… I could tell he’d been crying. And… you know, Henry’s always been so sure of himself. See… his parents, they’re... they’re good people, they really are. But they’ve always had plans for him. His dad owns a garage downtown, he always expected Henry to take it over. Not to mention, that was when he started to realize he wasn’t completely straight. That’s not a secret nowadays, he’s very open about it. But in middle school, that might just be the biggest taboo in the world. Not so much nowadays, but we’ve come a long way since then. It got to be too much, he got overwhelmed. I didn’t know any of that until then. He’d never opened up to me that much. I’m not good at that sort of thing, at… comforting people. But I did what I could. I listened, I sat with him, I told him that it would be okay. I let him stay the night, and before I knew it, he was feeling okay enough to start joking around again. Nothing was the same between us again since that night, but not in a bad way. We were more open, we could tell each other anything. He’d always been the strong one. But now he didn’t have to be. ...I know how that sounds, and it’s not the fact that he was upset that makes it my favorite memory with him. Obviously. It’s just… that was the moment that we really connected. More than just a couple of kids who liked to hang out after school. That was the moment that I really understood him as a person, and-- And I knew that if I ever needed someone, he’d be there for me. And you know what? He always was. After the… after the fire, once I was out of the hospital, he drove the six hours to make sure I was okay. He stayed with me for two weeks. Sat with me during my trial, helped me choose a therapist when they told me I had to in order to stay out of prison. I think he would have stayed longer if I hadn’t insisted he go back. He had school, after all, and his classes were starting up for the semester. I didn’t want him to miss any time for my sake. Elliot offered to come up, too, but he was working, and leaving would have upset his boss. Plus, explaining the reason behind it wouldn’t have helped his situation. So… it was just me and Henry for those weeks. I-- I didn’t tell him what had happened, I…. [He takes a moment to gather himself] Look. I don’t know what you’re trying to do. But Henry got lucky. There’s still a chance that he’ll be okay. But he is the exception, not the rule. I-- I don’t know why it told you everything, but if it suspects for a second that you and I are close, then--
CHRISTINE
You don’t need to worry about that.
VICTOR
Yeah? And why’s that?
CHRISTINE
[Matter-of-factly]  Because he’s in love with me.
VICTOR
[Laughs, then realizes that she’s serious] Oh. Oh. W-- Wait, then-- Then you two are--
CHRISTINE
No, we’re not. Homicidal tendencies are a big turn-off for me.
VICTOR
...That’s fair, I guess.
CHRISTINE
Also kidnapping.
VICTOR
[Audibly chokes on his coffee] I’m sorry? Did-- Are-- are you okay?
CHRISTINE
Yeah, I’m fine. Maybe a little traumatized, but.
VICTOR
Yeah, I can imagine. Listen, I-- I am so sorry, I--
CHRISTINE
Stop.
VICTOR
What?
CHRISTINE
You don’t need to apologize. It wasn’t your fault.
VICTOR
Isn’t it?
CHRISTINE
Literally no. You weren’t even there. I don’t even know whether or not you were still in the state. You had nothing to do with it.
VICTOR
...Okay. I told you my part. Your turn.
CHRISTINE
Where do you want me to start?
VICTOR
How did you meet it?
CHRISTINE
He found me while I was working on a show. I was still living in Maine, still trying to find a decent job after graduating Ingleside. You know that theater downtown, across from the library?
VICTOR
No.
CHRISTINE
Well, it’s there. And they do a holiday show every winter. It was September, so we were just starting rehearsals. I’d done shows there all through school, so I was familiar with every inch of that place. Or… I thought so, at least. After rehearsal one night, I realized halfway home that I forgot my music booklet. Luckily, I made it back before my director left, and she let me go in to grab it.  I knew I’d left it in the basement, which isn’t as creepy as it sounds. That’s where the bathrooms are, the dressing room, all that. It’s nice, honestly.  I remembered leaving it in the corner. So when I didn’t see it there, I figured that maybe someone took it with them to give it back to me tomorrow. But I still looked around, just in case. That was when I heard a voice. I couldn’t tell where it was coming from but… [Audibly smiling, almost dream-like] Victor, it was beautiful. And… familiar.
CHRISTINE (Cont.)
You see, the theater is old. I’m not sure when it was built, but old buildings in New England always have ghost stories, I’m sure you know that. This was no exception. But over the past few years, “activity” had increased. Mostly it was props and costumes going missing, which honestly could have been chalked up to careless actors or stagehands. I probably would have thought the same thing if I hadn’t had reason to believe otherwise. I’ve been alone there more than a few times over the years. Helping clean up after shows, changing between scenes, you name it. And sometimes, I would hear this faint, distant voice. Humming, singing. Crying sometimes. It broke my heart, if I’m being honest.  So of course I knew who was talking to me that night, telling me that my voice didn’t deserve to be “chained to such uninspired drivel”. But that was the first time I actually saw him. Or, sort of. He covered his face, but he was standing there behind me all the same. And yeah. Maybe it was stupid. I know it was. But when he asked me to go with him… of course I did. I was intrigued, this was the adventure I’d always dreamed of.
CHRISTINE (Cont.)
I didn’t know that there was another room, let alone a sub basement. I’m not sure anyone did. The door that led to it was small and hidden behind the dressing room mirror. If you didn’t know what you were looking for, even if the wall was bare, you might even mistake it for just another panel. But he opened it, and he led me into the dark. We did this every week for months. He would bring me to the forgotten part of the theater he’d made his home. And we would talk, sing, compose. He’s a genius, you know. The songs he writes, they’re unlike anything I’ve ever heard.  Then he told me his story. Your story, too, I guess. And I saw his face. The scars that the fire left him with. It was a shock, but I was willing to look past it. I’m not an asshole.
[A phone notification dings]
CHRISTINE
You can get it, it’s fine. [A long pause, Victor lets out a shaky breath] Something wrong?
VICTOR
I-- No. No, nothing, I-- I’m sorry, I-- I h-- I have to go. It’s-- It’s Henry, he-- Henry’s awake, he just opened his eyes.
CHRISTINE
Oh my God, yeah, go!
VICTOR
Right, yeah, I-- Thank you, I’ll-- I’ll keep in touch, I-- I want to know more.
CHRISTINE
I’ll keep an eye out. Stay safe.
VICTOR
I’m gonna pretend that wasn’t ominous.
[The sound of a bell as he leaves the building, and the recording ends]

Set Me Free - Chapter 16 (Previous Chapters)
Rated: T
Fandom: Sing 2016
Pairing: Johnny x Ash (Jash)
Chapter Summary: A sudden change of heart from Buster Moon has incredible ripple effects for all involved.
Fanfiction.net
A03
The name on her phone 'Moon' suddenly popped up on screen and it made Ash physically flinch and almost drop the device out of pure shock. The annoying ringtone blaring and vibrating in her paw didn't have any intention of stopping and it was only succeeding in making this situation harder to deal with for she had such little time to comprehend it all…
…For indeed - Buster Moon was calling her…
Whatever the reason, she wasn't sure.
At first, Ash thought perhaps it was a strange dream. That she'd simply fallen asleep laying on the couch and this was all some twisted nightmare caused by lack of sleep and too much junk food. It would sure as hell make more sense than if this was reality - because none of this made much sense for why the hell would Moon be calling her now of all times?
It was a dream.
It had to be.
Yet the vibration of her phone echoing up through her paw and arm didn't feel dream-like whatsoever. The noisy ringtone Lance had chosen for her so awful she still berated herself for not changing it yet; it even managed to hurt her ears and the pain registering told her indeed…this may just be reality.
Pushing aside any last hesitation and to sate her own curiosity (and against her better judgment), she answered the call with a swipe of her thumb.
"Yeah?" she asked dryly into the receiver; ready for whatever prank or similar awaited her on the other line. Perhaps Moon had to pawn off his phone for money and neither Moon nor the shop bothered to clean the phone out. The animal who eventually bought it was probably just calling everyone in the contacts for shits and giggles…
"...Ash? Ash, is that you? I-I'm pretty sure I got the right number." the voice on the other line rang out and a chill went through her body when indeed - it was the one and only Buster Moon.
"What do you want, Moon?" she muttered out; more so to cover the shock in her voice than anything.
"Oh, Ash! So glad I got a hold of you - I - I-I first just want to apologize for my behavior last time I saw you. I was being completely selfish and not really thinking when I turned you all away last week. I shouldn't have done that…"
"Yeah. No kidding…" Ash didn't even bother hiding the venom in her tone. His blatant disregard for their effort to cheer him up and still believe in him even after he almost got them all killed was really rather, for lack of a better term, fucked up.
Moon went silent for a moment, a soft sigh she easily picked up before he decided to respond, "…I know - I…I'm so sorry; you have to believe me, Ash. I wasn't in my right mind, I was depressed and not thinking clearly to see how I hurt you all and…
I'm sorry. I really am."
"So what? Did you just call to apologize because it's kinda late for that." Ash was physically trembling; the blatant anger in her voice stemming through even in the back of her mind told her to stop, to not speak in such a way but it was all the hurt speaking now…
"I know that. Sorry doesn't really help now, b-but, I wanted to invite you to come perform with the others back at the theater! W-We're going to perform like we were supposed to! Uh, yeah, sure, t-t-there's no money in it, but maybe we'll get some recognition and who knows what'll happen after that?" Buster's stuttering voice was rather strange to listen to; normally one so confident and self-assured and it was weird to hear it squelched.
The more shocking thing though was the content of his words…
…Performing?
NOW?
"What if there was a producer who heard us? Even a local television newscast streaming the whole show throughout the town? It would bring so much more attention to the Moon Theater a-and maybe with their help, we could raise money and do benefit concerts to eventually raise enough and re-build! Anything can happen if we work together!" it appeared his confidence was slowly gaining by her silence.
Ash was frozen on the other line as Buster continued in his ramblings and the excitement leeching out in waves. A persistent bitterness rose in her chest at all of this for she had desperately wanted to put this all behind her - Lance, Moon Theater, all of those associated - Everything. Didn't Moon get that she wanted to move on with her life?!
Now, here was Moon trying to convince her to come back?! And for what!? A maybe? A billion in one possibility that an animal who actually mattered listened to their impromptu concert and just handed them a shitton of money to rebuild an old theater?! Newsflash: They lived in reality, not a freakin' fairytale land! There was no one who would fund their little venture! That dream was dead a long time ago and they all would have to accept it…especially Buster.
Buster's voice that she supposed she'd drowned out was now audible as her thoughts scattered away with a resolute answer she would give him.
"...I know it may not sound like much, but I can hear the passion when you sing. Your new song you wrote!" Ash couldn't help but flinch when he said it; her mind awash with thing she didn't care to think about right now. "Ash, I know you want to sing it and being exposed on the news or something may spark a -"
"What's the fucking point, Moon?" Ash interrupted, the fire in her voice not held back whatsoever. She felt as if she may be the only one out of the whole group who had any grasp of brutal reality.
"...pardon?" he asked, his voice sounding more like his depressed tone back at Eddie's pool house.
"There's no money, no prize, and no theater left. There's nothing, Moon. Unlike you, I need to move on…alright? It's over!"
"...Ash, of course there's still something! W-What about your dreams? Your singing? There's such passion when you're performing onstage! I know there's still a part of you that wants to do this! I believe in you! I -"
Ash hung up the phone with a firm press of her thumb on the red icon.
Heart pounding desperately in her chest at her abrupt decision to do so and all of a sudden, it all overwhelmed her. Eyes flooding with tears and emotions she cared not to deal with right now.
Just what the hell?!
Looking back down at her phone, she saw Moon was trying to call her back but she rejected his call with a swipe of her finger. It drifted back to her contacts - the few she didn't delete from her phone or block the numbers completely. 'Dad' was one that was staring back at her - how easy it would be to call him now and ask for tuition money - to go to college and ditch the dream forever.
Moon's words flitting about in her mind and how insane it all sounded…yet before she could talk herself out of it, she found her finger drifting downward in her contacts and without any hesitation, she called someone else.
"Ash?" the British-accented voice asked on the other line.
"Hey…" Ash muttered. "Uh…what's up?" she still continued to fail miserably at small talk.
"I just got off the phone with Mr. Moon!" Johnny admitted way too happily for her taste and Ash's stomach clenched, "Yeah, I-I tried to call ya but your line was busy."
"...Wait - Moon called you too!?"
"Yeah!"
"...so he's actually serious about this?" she muttered under her breath in complete disbelief. Was she the only sane one left?
"Uh…Yes. I'm pretty sure."
"...Are you shitting me?" Ash grumbled when Johnny basically had to repeat himself for the third time.
"I'm not!" Johnny laughed; his voice was pure unadulterated sunshine and rainbows and as nice as it sounded from the muted chuckle he had last time they spoke, it still kinda irritated her.
"So, wait, did you actually agree to his insane scheme?"
"I don't think it's a scheme, Ash. I think he's serious. He just wants to have a concert and invited us to perform. It sounded genuine to me So I'm gonna go… Didn't you hear him out?"
"Not really - I hung up on him!"
Johnny grew silent on the other end…and wait, was he fucking snickering?!
"...you hung up on him?" he asked in an obviously bemused tone and she could practically see the lopsided smile he wore on the other end as well as the chuckle lacing his voice.
"YES!" Ash replied, not even bothering to hide her slight annoyance. "I didn't believe him - thought he was just rubbing salt in the wound. I mean, like why the hell would he do this now? It doesn't…"
"I believe him."
"Of course you do." she couldn't help but sigh a moment later; Johnny's endless reserves of optimism would never empty, would they?
"Mr. Moon wouldn't lie about this - I could hear it in his voice."
Ash's mouth opened, ready to argue about how strange all of this was but the words wouldn't come. Silence filling the dead air around her and the nonexistent space between her ear and phone where Johnny was strangely quiet. A soft breath left her mouth; head swimming and body felt numb as the words finally came out.
"…But why now? What damn good is this now?! The theater is gone - what are we going to gain by doing any of this?"
"That our dream of singing may come true - even if it's just for a night."
Ash rolled her eyes that time; he sounded so painfully optimistic and cheesy she couldn't help it.
"But where?! There's nothing but a pile of rubble and I doubt Moon acquired another venue this quick considering the sad-sack of a state he was last time we saw him!"
"I-It is at the Moon Theater! We're going to build…or rather re-build a stage of sorts to have a concert! Ya know, just for fun."
"...for fun?" Ash wasn't convinced.
"Mr. Moon says he wants to relive the glory days - make it about the music rather than the venue and -"
"By putting on a show in a bunch of rubble?!" Ash interrupted.
Johnny grew silent for a moment. "…uh, yeah?"
"Please tell me you told him how ridiculous he sounds?!"
"Ash…c'mon, what have we gotta lose?"
"The rest of our sanity, our dignity - our lives! The Moon Theater is just a pile of unsteady rubble! How the hell is that safe to perform on by any stretch of the imagination?!"
"I'm sure we'll make it work out. Now what do you say?" Johnny said and Ash could practically see the shrug of his shoulders from his voice alone.
Ash grew silent on the other line.
This didn't sound right whatsoever and it felt like she would be taking a giant step backwards if she agreed to this absurd lunacy. The more logical side telling her to finish the call, hang up and dial her father like she should. Attend college, graduate, than finally pursue a real career going rather than chasing fruitless dreams and hoping for it not to completely blow up in her face.
Life didn't work out perfect for her - it never did - so why the hell would it go right for her now of all times?
"...Ash?" Johnny's voice filled her ears again and she audibly sighed.
"I'm sorry," the words felt positively foreign on her tongue, "I can't keep living in the past, Johnny. It's time to move forward and this isn't the way for me to do it."
"...not even for a night?"
Ash's mouth froze, wanting so badly to say 'no' and to even hang up on him like she did to Moon but she found she couldn't even muster up the courage for that.
Using her silence as leeway to try and convince her, Johnny continued.
"Ash, you love to play and sing - I saw the passion in your audition even if that no-good ex-boyfriend of yours tried to steal the spotlight," he chuckled and she hated how her heart prickled in her chest, "It was as if you were the only one on stage. I know you want to do this - you don't have to but…I'd sure like it if ya were there..."
Another sigh escaped her parted lips; heart beating uncomfortable in her chest as she stared over at her new guitar - or rather, refurbished, guitar. The strings and promise of a stage beckoning her to say 'yes', but she couldn't do that either.
"I…I need to move on."
It was now Johnny's turn to be silent. It remained that way for a few tense moments before his voice hit her ears again.
"I understand…b-but, if you change your mind, he wants us to meet there tomorrow morning, bright and early. If I don't see ya - good luck in whatever you decide to pursue." it hurt how genuine he sounded while speaking those words.
"Mm-hmm. Yeah. Alright." was all she replied.
"Well, um…I, I hope you 'ave a good day. Bye, Ash."
"Bye." she muttered before his line went dead; the finality of it all hitting her square in the gut.
Ash started at the screen of her phone for what felt like an eternity. Mind awash with too much to fathom that these last…what, seven minutes at most provided?
It was all just too much.
Moon's and even Johnny's words were torturing her; flitting frantically, more than her scattered mind cared to comprehend now or frankly, ever.
They were really going to do a show?
A failure or flop no one would want to see? A random bunch of animals performing in the remains and rubble of a long-failing theater - not exactly high-class entertainment that would draw any positive attention. Hell, the more she thought about it, it was very likely the rest of the rubble would collapse and crush the rest of them in the process. She supposed it would serve them right for not obeying the brutal weight of reality she grunted internally. The thought was not one she entertained long but a side of her that kept pestering her had far greater implications…
…What if?
That two word question that held more weight than she cared to admit bothered her to no end.
The risk-taker, the rebellious porcupine that pushed against all odds part kept putting these doubts in her mind. What if someone who mattered heard? What if the stage didn't collapse and…the show was good?
"No Ash. Stop! No way! I am not thinking of doing this…" she was suddenly talking to herself; feeling like a mental patient who escaped from the psych ward. Wondering if she should sign herself into a loony bin before she REALLY did something stupid - like actually take him up on his offer? Oh, hell no.
"NO!" she spoke again to herself because yes indeed, she was well aware she was fully out of her mind. Eyes flitting to her phone and seeing her dad's number, hand frozen as she pushed herself to call him but her body wouldn't obey.
"Ugh!" she grunted whilst standing to her feet to pace around, again proclaiming to the empty apartment, "I am NOT going to do this…"
"...I can't believe I'm doing this…" Ash muttered the second she stepped off the bus the next morning; approaching the remains of what used to be the majestic Moon Theater…

heart you bro ;)
3: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 23, give me line 17.
ooo dang i love these. luckily im right next to a bookshelf and the closest book happens to be one about the beatles ;)
“When I got home I cried, the first time for years and years” holy hell this is my fave story about paul lmao how his dad literally fuckin cried after he was born bc he was so ugly ahaha
5: What does your latest text message from someone else say?
it’s from my mom telling me to empty the dishwasher before she comes home how fun is that
12: Ever stuck a foreign object up your nose?
YES i actually have a story about this
when i was like 4 or 5 i had this container of beads and i would always string them and make necklaces and stuff, just these plastic beads of all different colors you know kid stuff
well one day i had this brilliant idea of seeing what would happen if i stuck one up my nose. because theres gotta be a more fascinating outcome than just having it get stuck in there, right?
wrong. my hypothesis was disproven and the bead didn’t come out. i started crying and i ran to my mom and told her what happened. she was exasperated but she tried to help me by telling me to blow my nose and stuff but it didn’t come out
she was like it’s okay just wait until tomorrow it’ll probably get dislodged by then
so i did and i went to sleep that night with the damn thing still in there. the next morning i woke up, blew my nose, and sure enough it came out. so yes, i have stuck a foreign object up my nose lmao.
p.s. in case you were wondering the bead was white
17: What was the last lie you told?
“im going to bed before 3″ to myself
i went to bed at like 4
18: Do you believe in karma?
i’m not really sure tbh
30: Stick your right arm out; what do you touch first? Do the same with your left arm.
ahaha this should be kinda boring seeing as im sitting in bed
right arm: my bookshelf
left arm: a glass of water on my night table
33: Choose: East Coast or West Coast?
HMM this is hard!!!
i love the east coast but also i hate the cold and the west coast is nice for avoiding it (most of it anyway) and i love california
i’m gonna say east coast bc it’s home to me and also nyc and philly
44: What was the last film you saw?
i saw a mystery science theater 3000 episode w my dad the other day if that counts
they were watching reptilicus which is this terrible Danish movie with godawful special effects
55: Love or lust?
you’re hitting me with all these post-breakup zingers lately!!!!
uhhhh
right now im all about lust in terms of boys like just hook up w me and leave
but in the long run i think love is obv more important.
also it’s important in terms of friends and family members
so yeah you win i guess it’s love ;)
60: Is there anything pink within 10 feet of you?
good q! i’m not sure
oh yeah my pencil case is pink it’s sitting on my desk hahaha. that’s about it though!
67: What were you doing last night at 12AM?
not sleeping as i should have been :/
68: What do you think is Satan’s last name?
OOH i like this
i could say Zero because that’s what it was in the Monkees episode where Peter sells his soul to play the harp lol but that’s not original
Or I could say Trump but I won’t say that either
I wanna say something like Jones or Smith or something because it’s so common and it kinda makes him part of the mass. You’d never think someone so commonplace could be guilty of such evil and yet
74: What’s a song that always makes you happy when you hear it?
I Wanna Hold Your Hand!!
82: What is your favourite word?
Huh! I don’t know
I kinda like soliloquy because I like how it’s pronounced also the spelling is so deceiving
85: What’s the last song you listened to?
Paraíso by Dvicio
88: If you could press a button and make anyone in the world instantaneously explode, who would it be?
DONALD TRUMP
except then Pence would be President
It’s ok we can just make more buttons for him and Paul Ryan
94: You have the opportunity to sleep with the music-celebrity of your choice. Who would it be?
oh shit fuck dammit!!! only one????
george?????? can we get married too?
95: You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where are you gonna go?
kalamazoo tbh so i can bother you ;)
you can store me under your bed i don’t mind lmao

well here is how my date w caleb went yesterday and i also included the stuff i found out about alex and my thoughts on beauty and the beast
ok so ill start w the alex stuff since it happened a few days ago. first alex messaged caleb on fb asking if him and i were together (prob bc he saw the insta post caleb made about me) and caleb was like yeah and alex never responded so caleb was like why do you ask? and alex just responded with “...” so then a few days later caleb and his friend anny were shopping at the mall and they were in the store where alex works. they were talking about their old job and then the convo somehow shifted to me. apparently alex said that it shouldve been him (to be in a relationship w me) and also that i lead him on! like uh literally HOW is completely ignoring someone and never talking to them leading them on????? anyways. alex is messy
so then i had a date w caleb last night. i drove to his house to pick him up bc we were going to the movies and i drove him all the way to the theater which was like 25 min away. this was my first time being the one driving and it was sooooo much fun bc he kept making fun of my driving skills the whole time! i was laughing like the whole time
then we got there and the movie was sold out rip so we were just sitting in the car trying to figure out what we wanna do but it took forever bc he kept fooling around with me! it was so weird to be like doing sexual stuff in a car in a parking lot bc we had to stop every time someone walked by. it felt like i was in one of those public porn videos lol it was nice enough i guess but i wouldve preferred to not be constantly interrupted bc people were walking by
so then we decided to get dinner at cozymels and this is where the thing i didnt like happened. some other driver was being bad at driving and caleb said s/t along the lines of “what is this *n word* doing” and i was MAD. i was like “i better not hear that word come out of your fucking mouth again. im serious. im honestly about to kick you out of this car” and he apologized. we discussed the issue a little bit but idk if he really understood or not. but that was his only warning though if he says it again im breaking up with him. so that was the really bad thing i mentioned in last nights post and the thing he was referencing in that snap of me on my story. also hes not black obv like if he was i wouldnt have been mad about him saying it. i didnt want to post this bc i thought it would seem like im trying to pat myself on the back or something but it was really bugging me so i needed to at least say it somewhere
we got there and had dinner and it was nice enough. it was fun at first but then towards the middle the convo started dying down and i was starting to feel bad bc i knew i was lacking in the personality department again. so that was the more general issue i mentioned in last nights post. but then things got better when we had desert bc part of it had ice cream and he wanted to feed me but every time i got my mouth near the spoon he would move it up suddenly to get ice cream on my nose or he would pull it away and like tease me with it. it was v fun and extra and then i looked and this guy who was sitting at a table with this girl was watching it happen and laughing! smh so do with that what you will
then we got to the theater and we saw beauty and the beast. so i dont really enjoy going to the movies but doing it on a date is sooooooooo nice! it was my enjoyable to be like leaning on him and putting my arm around him and exchanging quick kisses throughout the movie and all the other things. also he saw his friend steven that he used to have a crush on and he saw sitting a few rows behind us rip. but yeah it was a v good experience. now for my thoughts on the movie
so i came in knowing that all the people on here were being super critical about this movie but it literally was not that bad at ALL. it was a cute movie! idk why yall were being so negative about a childrens film but it literally is not that serious. the only thing i will agree with is the criticism of belles yellow dress. like seeing the pics online i was like “it isnt THAT bad” but it looks way worse when its actually in motion so yeah that dress was a mistake lol but its not like it ruined the experience for me
i remember seeing that post w like not even 2 seconds of le fou dancing w another guy saying that that was the big gay scene and i thought they were joking and that there would be something else but nope! that was literally it LMAO everyone was making such a big deal about le fou being the first gay character but he wasnt even like explicitly gay! like at one point gaston asked why le fou why he wasnt w any women and i thought this was where there would be like a gay joke or s/t to show that he was gay but no lol he was just like “ive been told im too clingy” and also yall were acting like he was hopelessly in love w gaston but he wasnt? he was v conflicted when he tried to kill belles dad and during the fight scene he literally switched sides after gaston didnt help him. so yeah literally the only gay part was le fou dancing w some random guy at the end if you blinked you wouldve missed it so idk why people were so pressed about it! i dont even see how this is like ~disneys first official gay character~ or whatever its like that post thats like “queer representation in media” and then that pic of spongebob pointing to the top of his head in the background of the krusty crab video being like “thats me!”
so yeah. it was fine i liked all the singing and stuff lol it really was not that bad at all
then i drove caleb home then went home myself. we were together for like 7 hours or so. i paid for both the dinner and the movie and i was doing all the driving and it felt nice! i liked being able to be like “dont worry ill pay” esp since hes paid and driven for our previous dates. so thats p much it lol overall it was a good night except for the 2 issues i had w him
