the fact that i havent been able to find any eldritch horror stuff(aside from like one fic on ao3) written about the dark urge character yet is criminal. durge is quite literally a pureblooded child of a dead god and i cant stop thinking about it, but i cant really find anyone else exploring that in their writing. i love all the people writing their durges as just murdery little weirdos who have something severely wrong with them, but like...
give me a dark urge that no matter what shape they take, their form has teeth and claws befitting a predator. too-sharp teeth lurking behind a face not made to keep them, designed to shear through flesh and crack bone. give me a durge that's just plain unnerving to be around even beyond the murderousness and religious fanaticism that Bhaal's Chosen holds. Like, in silent rooms, if you listen carefully enough, faint whispers of the urges within their profane blood seep into the air—unintelligible but still undeniably present. A shadow that pools beneath their feet like the blood they leave in their wake. a constant scent of copper that follows them around, no matter how clean they are. Seeing them from the corner of your eye and for a split second you swear you saw tan hide and thick black horns.
idk. just...it feels like theres a lot im that genre of stuff that could be done!!

Here's one of my more nature themed projects I did recently! Just a tiny pine display box (i think from dollar tree? actually found it at a thrift store but it has a dollar tree tag lol). I don't have any before pictures of it (blasphemy). I got a hold of wood stain last year and have been having at it with a lot of cheap wood stuff laying around
Used to hold my moth collection but it has since outgrown it! So I stained it with wood stain + hot glued moss all over and decided to use it to display my more fragile specimen's that didn't have a place yet!
(Inside: dragonfly, dried shelf fungi, twin pine seed, bird skull, white lined sphinx moth (if I'm not mistaken), butterfly I forgot to identify, cicada.
On top: porcupine quills and a chicken bone.
Porcupine quills were a gift, everything else I found and saved. Actually my brother found the moth and saved it for me.)
It does have a protective casing on the front, but I took it off for the picture because of the glare.

The Moment, Laura Gilpin / In Blackwater Woods, Mary Oliver / Life After Death, Laura Gilpin
Text version under the cut:
Screenshot 1 (The Moment, Laura Gilpin):
And I thought:
this is what it means to be alive:
one moment to surrender everything
and the next moment
to begin again.
Screenshot 2 (In Blackwater Woods, Mary Oliver):
To live in this world
you must be able to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it
against your bones
knowing your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it
go,
to let it go.
Screenshot 3 (Life After Death, Laura Gilpin):
The things I know:
how the living go on living
and how the dead go on living with them

bet 100 cents that the artists of the miniatures, much less the VA's of the show, know that this blog exists and if they see any posts it is because someone else shows it to them with dubious intentions

Last song: Anamorphic by Joker off of that Castle Chase Music playlist which is a great bop for sports
Favourite colour: Purple or that weird blue green thats not quite teal that you find in the ocean but it isnt really a color as its not a pigment but instead a refraction
Currently watching: Uhhhhhh.... It counts when you only really watch stuff with your friend right? I guess, Dropout? And Hermitcraft.
Sweet/savory/spicy: Savory, Savory/Spicy, Savory/Sweet, Sweet, then spicy on its own. Oh but i just had watermelon with tajin recently and i had forgotten how much i love that particular spicy sweet combo there. Hm.

Current obsession: Hermitcraft. Goldeneye (Yes the james bond movie, yes its old, no we dont understand why here at the ministry either). Ah. And Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries, but the books not the show.
Last thing you googled: That would be much to revealing so instead have the second to last thing i googled which was "HermitcraftxGamersOutreach Donation Campaign"
