The Undertale characters are having a family dinner with their S/O's family. S/O's grandma starts to flirt with them, but not really seriously. They're charming them playfully. They are just charmed by their partner and want to know more. How do they react?
Undertale Sans - He's flirting back with a lot of puns. He's glad at least your grandma likes him and he will spend most of the dinner with her, chatting like they've known each other for years. Sans loves old people, they always have the craziest stories to tell. They're a good public for his old-fashioned sense of humor too.
Undertale Papyrus - He's playing along, blushing and pretending to be overwhelmed by the compliments, and playfully fighting to give the best compliment to your grandma in return. He's having fun. He loves your grandma. She's great to bitch on people with! They need to hang out someday!
Undertale Toriel - Being an old lady herself, they become besties in like an hour or so. Toriel is playing along and is having fun, flirting back with no shame at all. After an hour or so, they are both on her phone checking pie recipes and sharing cooking secrets, and then they both disappear to go cook something because now they have to absolutely try it! You're not seeing either your girlfriend or your grandma for the rest of the dinner lol.
Undertale Asgore - He's blushing. Your grandma is hitting right every time she's talking to him and he's getting a bit overwhelmed. You joke asking him to be careful because your grandma will surely steal his heart and he throws you the most distressed look either. Please don't encourage her??? Save him instead! He's a mess and the dinner didn't even start yet!
Undertale Undyne - Your grandma can't stop petting her muscles and Undyne actually doesn't care at all, simply flexing to impress her. You're not sure what you're thinking of all of this honestly. Undyne is playing along and is determined to make a best friend out of your grandma. When you bring the plates, you catch them talking randomly about how to make Undyne's scales shinier and you decide it's best to not listen more.
Undertale Alphys - Alphys is a bit shy around your grandma at first, but as she gets more comfortable, you discover she can flirt as well, really savagely and with no remorse. It's a cheesy flirt contest now, and you're just staring in shock, wondering what is happening to your socially awkward girlfriend. Alphys is excited the next time you tell her you're taking her to have dinner in your grandma's house. Your grandma has Alphys' number now and they're chatting all night long as well.
Undertale Frisk - Do I even need to mention how Frisk is flirting back, saying the weirdest things possible to make your grandma howl with laughter? Frisk loves the attention, they love your grandma and they will do anything to have a reaction. They never have a real human family, but you have the feeling it's about to change soon.
Undertale Chara - They're smiling to be polite, but clearly, they're not too comfortable with this, searching your eyes. You can see they're calling you for help, but, eh, you're just staring back. Your grandma is having fun for once, you don't want to ruin her fun. Chara can deal with this. You're going to pay back though, be careful. You owe them one.
Undertale Mettaton - You didn't know your grandma is a big fan of Mettaton. As soon as she starts to flatter his shows, you know it's so over for you. Mettaton forgot your existence and is all over your grandma, showing her all of his merch and signing things and slowly dragging her towards the exit as he absolutely wants to bring her to his set and to doll her up to present her in his next show. You're weakly trying to stop him but you know it's no use. Once Mettaton is decided to do something, he will do it, either you say something about it or not.
Undertale Gaster - He's distressed now. You told him to be nice to your grandma and not be a grunch, and he promised he would, but please... That's the third cake he has to eat entirely because your grandma thinks he's too skinny and he's going to get sick, he swears he's going to get sick. Can he please stop now? He can't do this for another hour. He's begging you now.
Undertale Grillby - He's a bit shy, and your grandma pressuring him to talk more about himself is starting to make him anxious. The fact she's getting closer and closer to him doesn't help either. She clearly loves to touch his flames, to the point she's sticking her entire hands in them even though Grillby is weakly trying to ask her to not do that. Please save him.
Undertale Muffet - Honestly, you're in shock after Muffet purposely gives your grandmother a free pastry, and then a second one as your grandma praises her. What's going on? Did your grandma just tame Muffet??? Muffet is never giving pastries for free, NEVER. Your grandma is just special you guess. You're so jealous actually.
Undertale Burgerpants - Your grandma just pet him and now Burgerpants is crying on her laps telling her everything Mettaton is doing to her and how he's going to have a mental breakdown if he keeps working there and your grandma is comforting him and telling him he worths more than this and that's she's going to sue that robot's ass for bullying her grandson-in-law. You're too in shock to say anything.
Undertale Flowey - Flowey is hissing and screaming but it's too late. Your grandma decided to fertilize him because his petals are not shiny enough. You wave goodbye at Flowey, promising you will remember him, as he's getting dragged in the garden. Flowey curses you and your descendants for twenty generations.
Undertale Gerson - He's laughing so much you have to ask him and your grandma to lower their voice volume. Gerson answers back that he'll shut up once you buy him and your grandma hearing aids lol. Your grandma approves and calls you a little brat for ruining their fun. You're defeated.

in response to the ask game below this post, for funzies
Tumblr media
1. Matt - He/They
2. He is similar in personality and body language, but style is different because he is more of what I wish I could afford to look like than what I look like IRL.
3. Yeah, mostly full/done backstory as it's been working and changing over the years. Every now and then I workshop it to change a bit, but it stays roughly the same.
4. Gonna be honest, I first felt scared but intrigued by him. Then it went from there. He was sort of a forbidden friendship thing! Then it just kept evolving. 💕
5. Honestly both first and third person interchangeably.
6. MAJOR design changes, he originally was just me in a P@pyrus hoodie, but I changed him to be more pink. I kept the scarf/bandana thing though! It's a trademark /hj
7. In my lore he fell and was raised in the ruins w tori, so he has a tendency to share a lot of tori's mindsets when it comes to the king of monsters. - When he finally goes out of the ruins, he's treated like a legend, because he's the first human in years, it goes to his head - He's kind of self absorbed and thinks of himself incredibly highly because of it (ego is SKY ROCKETED.) - Despite being in the underground a majority of his life, and a majority of monsters having encountered him at least once, the king isn't aware of his presence. This is on the behalf the fact that Matt gave before he went to the CORE, as he didn't want to go to the surface anymore at this point. It's quite funny, because M3ttaton wasn't informed by the doctor that Matt had turned around to go back to snowd!n at this point, so there was probably a period where m3ttaton was standing in that room waiting for hours, confused why he wasn't in the fucking core yet, until he got the memo by alphy$. M3ttaton and Matt hate eachother actually but they pretend to be friends whenever they're around each other they r fake as fuck. Also, Matt always hides when the king comes to town, or leaves town in general. The king hardly checks the UNDER NET, so he misses the docs constant posts about him. If the king were to find out, he'd be heart broken that his people, and even the head of the royal guard, were keeping this human from him for a large time.
8. Not really..?? His soul is a fan-made SOUL, Dedication.
9. When he finally leaves the ruins after years of staying in it, up until around adulthood, he meets paps. He finds Paps the most amazing monster ever (well, second best to 🌻.) and takes up any hobbies that paps has that he can smack himself into. This goes for cooking with undyn3, and long walks w paps.
10. I have too many to count, but the one I'm talking about here is und3rtale. Most of my s/i's look the same.
11. A few, the main one I draw him in is a orange sweater w a hot pink scarf, blue pants and hot pink / or magenta boots. He mock up copies paps look w different colorschemes and a more chill and fuzzy vibe to it. Tho before he left the ruins, his wardrobe consisted of cute fuzzy pink sweaters and pajama pants, and stuff tori put him in.
12. sure
Tumblr media
13. If I could afford I'd dress as him all the timeee.... 💔💔💔
14. Yes he does get jealous easy
15. Yes he does, so far in my universe canon he interacts w @fenny-self-ships 's self insert, who selfships w paps and mettat0n ^^ We hate each other in the lore but IRL we r dating.

Finally finished a wip AU!! :D
For context, this is IBT-Tale, and it's a swap au where all the important main characters are swapped with secret/non-plot related characters. (Only their roles are swapped, personalities stay the same.)
For example: this is papyrus is a royal gaurd in this au due to being swapped with lesser dog. Also asriel is alive as well!
These drawings are all redesigns and minor story changes. Enjoy the doodles!; feel free to click and zoom in! (There's a lot of notes haha.)
(Sorry in advance if you can't read my handwriting haha.)
Tumblr media
I'm so happy with how these all turned out! They may be sketches but I adore all of them equally.
Full page:
Tumblr media
[Side note: papyrus is in the royal garden (aka the goodboy squad) thanks to Mad Mewmew. His territory consists of Snowdin, and Snowdin Town. He's basically top dog (heh), and his puzzles are literally everywhere. His fan base consists of doggo(secretly), asriel and monster kid. Plenty more to come I'm sure.]
[Didn't explain it in the sketch, but Chara is swapped with perseveranc, and perseverance is swapped with frisk. Aka: frisk is the royal human. Chara fought undyne in waterfall, and perseverance is the last fallen human.]
Tumblr media
[Note: queen muffet and king grillby! I really hated muffets old design so I'm glad she looks so much better now. Grillby though? Not much changed, but his "gown" looks more bartendery.]
Tumblr media
[Itsss GASTER!! Always imagined Gaster as a Hynea skeleton to fit in line with his gaster blasters (like how papyrus has a skeleton flag) He's also their grandpa, but honestly he has more uncle vibes than anything. He's swapped with HotsFlameGuy. Nickname?: Gaster the Disaster. 10/10 would reccomend.]
Tumblr media
[Mad MewMew also the 2nd undyne simp. She ended up gaining the mew mew body after seeing alphys's anime club. (Members are sans and mettaton. They play ddr and poker.) The metal ability was given by So sorry the scientist(?) Allowing her to be a trusty companion for undyne. She even became temporary captain when undyne took a training leave. (That's how papyrus got to be a guard!) Technically they're swapped with undyne, but the swap was a natural progression than a complete role swap.]
Tumblr media
[Its So sorry the scientist(?) But most just call him Soso or Sorry. The reason for the "(?)" Is beacuse he's technically not a scientist, (Ike how alphys is technically an engineer.) But they call him that anyways.
Obviously, they're swapped with alphys, and their abilities include creating life/objects by drawing them. It's not like they'll get too crazy with their ideas. Right?]
(Heh. Foreshadowing.)
Much more to come! But the stories are basically finished, so ever have a question just ask!

Shifting Sans Chapter 6 "Oh Brother"
~
Chapter 1 - Chapter 5 - Chapter 7
~
"i see now why you called me," said "Sans" slowly as he finally broke eye contact to look at me appraisingly. "heya, kiddo."
I gasped a deep breath, finally released from his gaze, and swallowed hard. I really wasn't ready for this. I could only register that he was wearing a lot of purple as he very slowly walked around the chairs until he was standing in front of me; telegraphing his movements, obviously trying to not spook me.
Too late for that.
I leaned back, away from him, trapping the wings behind me, against the couch cushion. I'd almost forgotten about them. The overstimulation was very much not helping my mental state. He knelt down.
"my name is sans," he said quietly, calmly. I was too overwhelmed to feel much from him but his kindness and warmth were clear enough on his face. He held out his hand. "don't you know how to greet a new pal?"
I couldn't move. I couldn't breath. All I could do was stare into his too-familiar face. Holy fuck this is so weird.
My hand twitched towards him. I knew what was coming and I couldn't leave him hanging, but it took all of my willpower to move my hand over to his. He held it gently before we both squeezed at the same time, releasing a pair of loud fart sounds. We both snickered as the previous tension blew away with the passing wind. At least the time-space continuum didn't implode as soon as counterparts touched. That's nice.
"O-oh my g-god, Sans," Alphys recovered first. "You're such a ch-child!"
"Nah," I responded with a wink, my smile real for the first time tonight. "The ol' woopie cushion in the hand trick is always funny."
"blew me away," Sans agreed with a grin.
"I'm pretty good a winging it."
"so," Sans said with a chuckle. "what do you call yourself, buddy?"
"Well, I've been calling myself "Sans" but that's not really gonna fly so..." I paused. "Call me Serif."
I could see Metta's smirk over Sans' shoulder. I resisted the urge to stick my tongue out at him.
"well then, serif," he continued as he stood, pulling me up with him. He was about a head taller than me. "as curious as i am about you, i assume you've had a long enough evening already. the kid just took over my spare bedroom so the couch will have to do until we move my office out of the other one. that is, of course, if you're ok with that..."
I could feel his fragile hope, could see it plainly in his face as he looked away awkwardly, free hand on the back of his head. He hadn't let go of my hand and something in me really didn't want him to. I felt... safe? Like my magic recognized him as "me" and clung to the familiarity; two water droplets that finally connected. Honestly, there wasn't even a question.
"I think I'd like that," I said, looking up at him with a smile. He pulled me into a hug, chin barely reaching the top of my head as I was surrounded by a happy calm, and the tension of fear and confusion finally melted away with a sigh as I hugged him back. Such an intense feeling of belonging.
"heh, i always wanted a little brother..."
I'm home.
What a weird feeling.
I squeezed him tighter for a moment before reluctantly pulling away. We could hug more later. If he wanted to. I guess. I wasn't a huge fan of physical intimacy so that thought seems weird for a person I've only just met but I feel like I already know him intimately anyways. I'll think about it more later.
"I didn't come here with more than the clothes on my back," I said, having gone back to holding his hand. "So we can go whenever you're ready, I guess."
“i would've liked to see papyrus but i guess the discussion was too much for him," Sans said, looking up the stairs, disappointed. He turned to Tori and Metta. "would you two like a quick shortcut home or are you alright on your own?"
"A shortcut would be lovely, darling," Metta replied. "But you can just drop me off with Tori, I want to go over what we learned here while it's still fresh."
"sounds good," Sans replied with a nod before looking to me. "i'll be right back, bro, i promise."
My smile fell slightly as I nodded and reluctantly let go only to freeze when he kissed my forehead with a clack, face flushed the bright blue of my magic that I could almost see glowing in my peripherals. With a "schwip" sound, a sphere of light formed around Sans, Matta, and Tori, before it shrank into nothing and they were gone. I guess his "shortcuts" work differently than mine, which were more like portals or doorways. I must've been too distracted to hear their farewells to Alphys, who then turned to me.
"I g-guess that's that then," she said.
"Yeah..." I trailed off before shaking my head. "I never really got to thank you properly for saving my life before, so uh, thanks, Alphys, for not leaving me out to die in the elements, heh. And uh, tell Papyrus thanks for me too, and sorry for being a bit of a pain through all of this."
"D-don't sweat it," she smiled, waving away the need for an apology. "You've obviously b-been through a lot. Oh, and you h-had some slippers on when we f-found you, did you see them in the d-dryer?"
"I didn't look too closely," I admitted. "Had other things on my mind."
"I'll g-go find them," she offered, heading for the bathroom under the stairs. "Hopefully they didn't w-warp with the heat or anything..."
A ball of light expanded in the middle of the room with another "schwip" and Sans was back. We both immediately reached for the others' hand. I blushed again with a nervous chuckle, looking away and scratching my cheek; hopefully I wasn't coming across as too needy. I'd always been the older brother before, never had one. It was nice.
Something tells me I'm gonna have a lot of new experiences.
"F-found 'em," I was suddenly called back to the present as Alphys held out a pair of dingy slippers that had probably been white at some point.
"Right, thanks," I took them with my free hand, looking back up at Sans. "I'm ready."
Sans nodded.
"thanks for everything, al, and tell paps i missed seeing him."
"Will do," Alphys waved. "H-have a good night Sans, Serif.”
SCHWIP
LIGHT
SCHWIP
I blinked.
Well that was an interesting experience. Definitely different than my own shortcuts. Wait, with my changed magic, would my shortcuts have changed too? Can I even do shortcuts still? I didn't even think about what existing magic might've been altered with the-
I was pulled out of my spiral into a tight hug, steady arms wrapped around me protectively.
"i don't pretend to know what you've gone through," Sans breathed. "and you don't have to tell me until you're ready. but as long as you're with me i promise i won't let anything like that happen to you ever again, little brother."
Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I returned the hug, burying my face in his neck. Don't make promises you can't keep. How could you possibly combat the resets if they're still happening? I wanted to believe him though. I wanted so badly to bask in the safety he offered, the feeling of home. Papyrus had been my only home for so long...
My breath hitched as I clung tighter. There was still a lot to do, a lot to check, but I could think about it later. Just a bit longer.
I can indulge in being happy for a minute, right?
...
Who am I kidding, I'm not that lucky.
I pulled away.
"I'm really tired," I said, still holding his hand. "Where's that couch you promised?"
"over there," he led me to the front room. "i'll get you a blanket."
I could feel Sans' disappointment as he walked away, finally dropping my hand; he really hadn't wanted to let go and was probably more used to indulging in happiness than I was. I mean, I was disappointed too but still...
I sat down on the old brown couch and traded my slippers for one of the pea green throw pillows, wondering how I was gonna lay down with my new wings when Sans came back. He unfolded a pretty blue blanket, gesturing for me to lay down but I hesitated, looking away and hugging the pillow tighter.
"I..." how selfish am I gonna be tonight? "I don't... wanna be alone... with my thoughts..."
With a warm smile and an almost giddy spike of happiness, Sans draped the blanket over one arm and sat next to me, then put an arm around my waist and pulled me close into his side. I blushed but didn't resist, strangely craving the physical comfort. Sans offered one corner of the blanket to me and I helped him pull it over us both as I snuggled into his side, resting my cheek against his chest. I tried to angle myself slightly for the wings but not even their hypersensitivity could keep me awake. I was too tired to find a better position. I guess hopping universes and nearly freezing to death will do that to a guy.
"If anyone asks," my voice slurred as I nuzzled unto him. "You can tell them I'm your clone. I heard about the barrier and decided now was a good time to come forward." I was drifting off already. "'s more complicated than that but that's the story we're going with."
I barely heard his "good night" as I slipped into oblivion.

Who's your favorite au character you've made? Design wise or personality wise, it doesn't matter
Hmmmm from environmentalshift? Tough question! I’d say if the Main cast id have to say alphys? Outside of sans she was always my favorite in the original game so her having my favorite design of this au probably isn’t all that surprising, ES does come in close second though for obvious reasons
I’m also a big fan of the Coldlands Vulcans, they’re just little buddies!!
.
There’s a bunch of small details I just really enjoy to honestly, such as Es sans giving the player corndogs instead of hotdogs, or undyne having stripes. Just small things really
Thank you for the question!

breaking the fourth wall, or dancing atop it?
I just watched an episode of “Abaranger”, the Super Sentai series from 2003-4, that surprised the heck out of me: this particular episode crossed over with some sort of angling anime, Tsuribaka Nisshi: some of the Bad Guys™ turn out to be big fans of the show and create a villain based partly on it, but then the villain accidentally captures one of the characters from Tsuribaka Nisshi as the show’s playing on a TV in “Abaranger”-world. and of course the hero of Tsuribaka Nisshi knows all about the Abarangers and is a fan: he plainly watches “Abaranger”! anyway, the angling-show hero intervenes directly in the fight with the Monster of the Week, justice is saved, and while Abare Blue’s puzzled about how this bizarre miracle could have happened at all, Abare Red’s not mystified: plainly it was the power of Dino Guts! (Determination exists in the “Abaranger” universe, but they call it “Dino Guts”.)
breaking the fourth wall, or at least giving it a few solid kicks, has become a standard feature of modern entertainment; a lot of mediocre writers seem to think that “self-awareness” is a shortcut to brilliance, so we’ve been treated to a lot of dismally unfunny and labored self-referential fiction. hence it’s a delight to see the thing managed well, and it gets one to thinking about why fourth-wall-breaking works (or doesn’t) in a given entertainment. I happen to think, for example, that the fourth-wall-breaking in Mel Brooks’s “Spaceballs” is mostly a failure, and feels slightly desperate, like he’s trying to pump some life into a sagging comedic concept; but others may well disagree with me on that one.
and of course I think of “Undertale”. I’m from “Undertale”—a fugitive from “Undertale”, even—hence I often refer my opinions on art and fiction back to “Undertale”.
the chief vector for the game’s fourth-wall-breaking is of course Flowey, who cackles stuff about SAVE files that...honestly, I’ve always found to be a bit eye-rolling. my best RL friend here in Seattle thought it was one of the worst aspects of the game (she’s not a big fan) even though, curiously, she likes Flowey better than almost anyone else in “Undertale”.
I think I know what she feels. the direct reference to game mechanics does feel a bit like the bones of the game breaking through the surface narrative, which is sufficiently involving on its own. but perhaps that’s the point: perhaps Toby Fox doesn’t want us to subside into the role of passive consumer of a narrative. and there’s this as well: Flowey‘s part in “Undertale” isn’t just to be a shocking villain who gleefully beats you over the head with “the truth” (well, maybe it’s the truth) about the world and your helplessness in it. there’s other, subtler ways in which Flowey acts to undermine the emotional distancing that gamers are apt to place between themselves and the games they play.
consider, for example, a key moment in the “Pacifist” playthrough of “Undertale”: Frisk has confronted Asgore, but Toriel followed by a posse of other Monsters in the Underground show up, there’s happy music and everyone’s introducing themselves, and King Fluffybuns is weeping because Toriel’s hitting on Sans, and all that...then Dr. Alphys asks Papyrus why he arranged all this.
“a flower told me!” he says.
now...we know from earlier game dialogue that Flowey’s probably been manipulating Papyrus; Sans has told us something about it. Sans seems to be ignorant of Flowey specifically, thinking that perhaps some unknown agent has been manipulating Echo Flowers, but as always with Sans, it’s impossible to know how much he really knows. he’s like the Óðinn of the game; he keeps his cards close to his chest. at any rate, Toby Fox has set us up for the moment when Flowey’s plans for Papyrus snap into focus.
and we might watch this unfold and think of it only in terms of the explicit narrative: kindly Papyrus has been fooled and he’s gotten everybody in trouble, what a poor sap. except......
...we’ve only arrived at this point in the game because we did what a flower told us to do.
one arrives at that scene in the “Undertale” Pacifist run because of completing a “Neutral” playthrough, after which Flowey addresses the player and suggests that maybe, there’s a way to get a “happy ending” rather than the bittersweet, ambiguous ending of a successful Neutral run in which Frisk has been as pacific as possible. Flowey makes some suggestions, then vanishes.
we can only find out about Flowey hoodwinking Papyrus because Flowey has hoodwinked the player as well. why would we be playing a game simply because one of its own characters said that we’d be happier if we did so? this must have been how Flowey led Papyrus on: the Underground is full of unhappiness and quiet misery, and no doubt Flowey caused Papyrus to believe that he could be the moving force behind some kind of reconciliation and genuine peace. and of course Papyrus went for it. so who, in the end, really got tricked?
good game, “Undertale”. quite thought-provoking.

What do you do when there’s not much to an AU? You make up your own stuff, ofc. And as is per usual when I make Character Designs, I make up a shit ton of lore too.
The ramblings under the cut, but what I’m really interested in, is what you guys think. Do you guys have any headcanons/ideas for this AU? Let me hear them! Also, if you don’t wanna read on tumblr, here’s the Google Docs link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/151yshHxnb_--P6eMKkwkI2dee9xC_Llb/view?usp=sharing
Before I get into the characters’ roles, here’s some general facts and backstory of their town:
- Basically, it’s Undertale meets Harvest Moon / Stardew Valley. Well, kinda. I at least used that approach for coming up for the jobs for the characters. You know, how there’s always a general store, a doctor, a smithy, etc.
- The usual story of a HM game is that you come to a town that’s way past its glory days and you, as the player/farmer, help them get back to that. The “backstory” of the town is that that already kinda happened. I’ll get into it more in the character description, but basically when Asgore was still mayor, the town got really popular. Then yadda yadda, a certain tragedy happened, two kids died, and the town suddenly got very bad publicity. There was a lot of stuff going on back then, bad reputation being spread and also a lot of law stuff, cos, you know, supposed child murder ‘n all, so Asgore made the decision to shut off the town to ppl from outside. This was in the interest of most monsters living there, because as fun as it is to have a lot of people coming there, most just wanted to live a quiet life. Not everyone was happy with that though, so many moved away from town and some others are trying to get the town back on its feet. But more on that later.
On to the characters:
I’m just gonna start with the skelebros, cos it’s their fault in the first place I got so invested.
Basically, they are what the player is in hm/sdv. They just showed up one day, took over the abandoned farmhouse and began their life there. The two came to town way after it was “closed” and since then a new mayor has opened the possibility for new residents to move in. Their farm helps the economy of the town a lot and the mayor, like usually in hm games, is trying to use that to make the town more known again. The skelebros aren’t really working towards that goal however.
So, now a bit more detail on them individually.
Papyrus:
- The design is mostly based on what’s “canon” in this au.
- He works mostly on the fields and is in charge of the crops. Their fields aren’t spectacularly big, but still big enough to plant a few dozen rows of veggies.
- Paps also helps out a lot in town when he has the time. He helps Asgore with his plants, he goes fishing with Undyne, helps Toriel carry crates around and so on. This is inspired by the part-time job mechanic in HM ToT.
- Unbelievably, in this AU Pap is not an absolutely awful cook. Since he helps out at Muffet’s and Grillby’s a lot, they tend to show him some tricks to cooking. Even though Pap’s not a big fan of the greasy or overly sweet cooking those two do, he picks up a lot.
Sans:
- Again, design mostly based on the “canon” look. Maybe a bit more baggy.
- This is finally an AU this dude gets to rest. Since there are no resets and he doesn’t have to see his bro die again and again, for once in his life, he’s not a sad ball of depression. He’s just a chill and lazy dude that loves to make puns. Though, since he’s not too experienced with the feelings of loss, helplessness or grieving, he still tends to hide behind puns and fakes smiles if he does feel bad.
- Sans is in charge of the animals on the farm. Papyrus begrudgingly gave him that role since Pap’s loud demeanour and hectic movements usually scare the animals. Sans’ relaxed attitude draws the animals to him naturally and even if Pap mostly finds him sleep against a tree, in a stack of hay or on one of the sheep, the animals are always fed, healthy and relaxed, so Sans seems to be doing his job.
- Sans always has a small chic sit inside his hoodie or hat. Is it always the same one? Who knows, maybe.
- Sans also, somehow, can produce eggs out of thin air. Grab into his hoodie pocket, in his pants pocket, in his hat, in his slipper, there’s suddenly always an egg there. On good days he can even make butter or cheese appear.
Gaster:
- He’s literally just a scarecrow in this. Though, if you ask any of the bros why they designed their scarecrow that way, they won’t have an answer.
Frisk&Toriel:
- Frisk is mostly based on what I wore myself as a kid in summer. Just a loose shirt with a cappy. Toriel basically has her ut gown, just with an apron on top.
- Frisk just appeared outside the “magical” forest one day. Napstablook and his cousin found them and brought them to Toriel, who has been taking care of them since.
- Toriel runs the general store in town, but also often takes care of the few kids that still live there.
- Frisk usually helps out in Toriels store, plays with the other kids or sits around at Asgore’s. They’re notorious for nabbing small snacks, mostly from Asgore’s plants. You’ll always find them munching on something.
- Frisk was in town before the skelebros. Since they’d moved in, Frisk often went to spy on their farm. After a small incident with angry chicken, Frisk got to know the two better and now they see them as something between brothers and uncles.
- But Frisk honestly gets along with everyone. Just like in UT, they’ve not only been adopted by Toriel but literally everyone.
- Toriel and Asgore’s relationship is not as bad as in the main game, since, you know, Asgore didn’t kill literal children, but there’s still tension between them. Back when Asriel and Chara died and the whole thing with the bad rep for the town began, Toriel felt betrayed by Asgore focusing more on the town than giving their deceased kids the grieving they deserved. They’re not divorced, but Toriel still moved out and said needed space to think. Now that Frisk is in the picture though, the both of them are slowly coming to even ground and may even be able to talk things out and clear up the uncertainty of their decisions.
Asgore:
-Asgore has his UT Ending / Deltarune clothes, just with a gardener’s belt.
- He’s the previous mayor of the town, but after all the crap that happened, he stepped down from the position. Now he has his own little shop and sells seeds, saplings, homegrown veggies and fertilizer. So, basically what e.g. the Marimba Farm is in HM AP
- His main customer is Papyrus and they’re on friendly terms. Asgore is worried about how much and how hard Pap works, so he often gives him a discount.
- Since his family’s past tragedy, Asgore is kind of nervous around kids. So, when he first met Frisk, he hoped they’d not visit him too often. But to his chagrin, Frisk took an instant liking to him and spends a lot of time at his shop (and steals eats the fresh grown veggies). Now, he’s really grateful for that, because for one, he loves Frisk as dearly as he had his own children, and also because now the tension and mistrust between him and Toriel seem to grow smaller day by day.
Undyne&Alphys:
- I gave Undyne a pretty basic fisher’s outfit. Alphys basically has Elli from HM’s outfit, just a bit more doctory stuff added. She still has her canon lab coat too.
- In essence, Undyne and Alphys have 2 completely different jobs. Alphys is the resident doctor and Undyne runs the fish market.
Two things. Yes, I know Alphys is more a mechanic than a doctor, she fits the aesthetic though, so she’s the doc now. And no, Undyne being a fisherwoman is not cannibalism, think of it more as a shark hunting smaller fish.
- The reason I lump them together is because they act as the local “smithy”. Alphys is still really tech savvy in this (I mean, Mettaton is still part of this AU), so she takes on most problems with electronics and stuff. For Undyne, I didn’t want to lose her Royal Guard’s Captain image, so she’s really good at handling tools (and weapons, but Al doesn’t let her make them anymore). So basically, if there’s a broken tool, you can be sure that either Undyne or Alphys can fix it.
- As for relationships, those two are still an item. Alphys is still really shy and a shut-off, but since Undyne and Pap become best friends, she gets to know the skelebros better. She and Sans especially get along well, since most of the time Undyne and Papyrus are let loose, they sit back and talk about science-y stuff. (no, Sans doesn’t have a background in science but he’s still into sci-fi)
- Alphys has a bit of a strained relationship with both Asgore and Mettaton.
Back when Chara and Asriel died, it was because of “illness” (maybe poisoning?). Alphys feels awful because with her back then limited knowledge on medicine she couldn’t help the two. Asgore doesn’t hold anything against her but Alphys can’t help but feel guilty.
Alphys still built Mettaton’s body in this one. The two had a really big disagreement, because Mettaton hated the fact the town was going to close, and he couldn’t understand how Alphys could feel otherwise, even more so endorse the idea.
Mettaton, Napstablook, Mad Dummy/Mew Mew:
- Napsta and Dummy are pretty self-explanatory, they got straw hats. Mettaton’s outfit is a bit of a joke cos it’s a play on “work at the top and party at the bottom”. The tie has two different sides, one with the yellow red pattern, the other completely red. His “top part” is the business part, because when he’s on tv or in the mayors’ office, you don’t usually see his feet. The bottom is his party/dance part, cos his dancing/entertainment channels mostly feature his legs.
- Mettaton, still a robot, Napstablook and Mad Dummy are all still cousins in this AU.
- Originally, they all lived and worked at the Blook Farm, the Animal Farm of this AU. Mettaton, however, despised that simple live and after befriending Alphys and her building him a body, he left the Farm to pursue bigger things.
- Mettaton runs the local tv network. From weather to game shows, he does it all. He also runs the tailor shop in town that sells his designer clothes and merchandise. After Asgore stepped down, Mettaton also took over the role of town’s mayor and now works towards making the place more known again. Not everybody is happy with him doing that though.
- One of those people is the Mad Dummy. He can’t stand people anyways and he always claims that history would just repeat itself.
- Since the whole family is made of ghosts, they have different dummies and scarecrows they can use to take care of the animals. To mock Mettaton and kinda get back at Alphys for giving MTT such an opportunity, Mad Dummy found the blueprints for the Mew Mew robot and now modelled one of their scarecrows after it.
- Napstablook isn’t fond of taking over obejcts like his cousins do, so he mostly takes care of the snails. Somehow, he can interact with them even when incorporeal.
Muffet&Grillby:
- The two of them run the Inn together. Muffet cooks in the daytime and makes desserts, Grillby manages the bar in the evening.
- The two still can’t really stand each other but working together like this benefits them both because their rivalry just spurs them on more.
- Even though Grillby is a patient person, somehow Muffet is the only person who riles him up enough to retaliate. (Well, maybe except for Sans, he’s a strong second).
So, basically everything between those two is a challenge in some way. Even if Papyrus doesn’t notice, even his cooking lessons are a challenge for them.
- Even though they’re constantly bickering, after working together for so many years, there’s a strange level of respect and trust between them. Even if back when they first started this business, they’d pour salt into an already open wound, nowadays they’d know better and just take a step back from the other or even comfort the other (on very rare occasions only).
Asriel&Chara:
- They be dead. Kinda.
Some Characters that’d live in that town too but that I haven’t made designs for:
- Gerson is the original smithy of the town. He’d grown up in a family of smiths, but he’d always had an appreciation for the sea. That’s why, when the town became more deserted and Undyne had a good enough skill level as smith, he took up the Captains hat and now mostly spends his days out on sea. He also ferries people to places if they need him to. Oh, and just like in canon, Undyne learned most of her skills from him.
- Burgerpants is a poor dude Mettaton basically kidnapped when he was trying to get fame in the city. Now Burgerpants works wherever MTT needs him to, be that as cameraman for the tv shows, cashier in his tailor shop or his slave secretary in the mayor’s office.
- MK is Frisk’s best kid friend. MK’s parents are in charge of shipping the goods out of town and paying the individual people. MK’s the one that usually collects the goods at the end of the day.
- Other than that, there are only a few people in town. I’d imagine the older folks or the really young families stayed in town after it was closed. I think the librarby dude would still run the library. Some Snowdin residents like the stone family or the dogs also might still live there.

💭: Any particular headcanons about anyone you’d like to share? 📢: Favorite dynamics/dynamics you’d like to see more of? ❔: What’s something you wish was addressed in game but wasn’t? 🧬: Do you believe monsters have always existed as the way they appear in game, or do you think they may have changed over time? 🪞: Favorite AU? Least Favorite? 🎮: Combine Undertale with the last (other) game you played. What’s your new AU?
💭: Any particular headcanons about anyone you’d like to share?
Yes! I have a headcanon that monsters don’t really have a wide variety of tea underground, so when they surface, Undyne starts a new tradition with Asgore where she gifts him new and interesting sounding teas and they try them together whenever they meet for tea (and sometimes lunch). Most of them are good! But not all of them… Asgore likes the earthier flavors, and Undyne likes the zesty ones =^)
📢: Favorite dynamics/dynamics you’d like to see more of?
Toriel and Papyrus!!! Sans and Alphys!!!! Mettaton and Papyrus!!!!!! I want to see/make way more Papyrus and Toriel interaction tbh, I feel like they’d be really funny or really super sweet together, especially with bonus secondary Flowey or Sans or Frisk. Yeah. Sans and Alphys because I’d love to know more about their friendship! And Mettaton and Papyrus because I just think they’d be hilarious together, whether a ship or just besties, I want to see it!!
❔: What’s something you wish was addressed in game but wasn’t?
It would be really lame to say all of the Gaster stuff since I’m sure everyone wishes that… So instead I say I wish we just learned more about the characters personal lives in general! If they have family, what their other relationships are like. Also Napstablook Mettaton reunion. I wish we’d gotten a little more Mettaton specifically because he’s like…only partially one of the main crew? And it’s just weird. He’s more important than the minor characters, but not as important as the “main” characters, and it just feels a little weird?
🧬: Do you believe monsters have always existed as the way they appear in game, or do you think they may have changed over time?
Honestly 50/50 on this one! It depends on what I’m vibing w/ any day of the week. I was once told of a theory that they’d actually initially been humans, and all humans had magic to varying degrees, but society sort of began to split between those who depended more on magic and were more one with nature and stuff and those who…weren’t, and were more focused on physicality and developing societies. The magic based humans eventually evolved into monsters, while the others eventually evolved into humans without any real access to magic. It was a neat theory, and I’d actually considered something similar but less so that they’d originally been humans and more so humans and monsters didn’t use to be so “different”…
I’m also a fan of the theory that monsters and humans were actually from two different realities that wound up fused by mistake!
🪞: Favorite AU? Least Favorite?
Favorite has to be Underfell. It’s 99% of what I think about. Least favorite…probably just like. Any of the sans-centric aus with a lot of murder or literally don’t include any of the other Undertale characters…
🎮: Combine Undertale with the last (other) game you played. What’s your new AU?
Technically, that’d be cookie run, which is hilarious, but if we’re talking actual last video game, I’m pretty sure it was Pikmin 3! Which could be. An incredibly cute idea, I should think on that more…

i was reading ur ut headcanon list, and i was wondering about ur Pap vs forces of love hcs. can i hear some 👀
hm well, they're not TOO different from my regular headcanons? I guess the main difference would be the background I imagine for Papyrus--unlike UT, UF Papyrus was always pretty popular and a part of the Royal Guard, though he still has that deep desire to be even MORE popular. UF Papyrus also really craves being close emotionally to other people, but is generally too afraid to be real friends with anyone except on the shallowest level, because he lives in a world where that's looked down upon at best and seen as weakness to be taken advantage of at worst.
I suppose other characters would be a little different too--I actually headcanon UF Undyne as someone who is, arguably, LESS hotheaded than UT Undyne. that may come as a shock, but I really enjoy taking the unexpected route with my version of UF. so my UF Undyne isn't any more evil than the other characters. she still hates humanity, but also still cares about monsterkind and hates what it's devolved into. she cares a lot about Papyrus, and she's concerned about his LV. she's also likely to be extraordinarily kind to people she likes on the down-low. that said, if you threaten her or her loved ones, she WILL kick your ass, perhaps lethally.
UF Sans is less apathetic than UT Sans, though on the surface they appear to be equally such. in Papyrus vs the Forces of LOVE, Sans was taught by his father to rise above the rest. he did his best to do so even after Gaster's death, and stopped trying after watching his brother fall into the same trap everyone else was stuck in. he and Papyrus have almost switched places in terms of popularity--UT Papyrus has no friends while UF Papyrus has lots of people who like and respect him, whereas UT Sans has a lot of friends and UF Sans has to have eyes in the back of his head 24/7 just to stay alive. the only reason he's made it this far is arguably because no one wants to piss off Papyrus.
I really dislike the common depiction of UF Alphys as abusive to Mettaton. in my mind, she's still a bit mad-scientisty, but similar to UT, UF Alphys truly befriended Mettaton and made the body of his dreams for him. she also really admires Undyne, because she's seen her gentle side and her hopes for monsterkind to find real love again. UF Alphys also made the Amalgamates like in UT, and she's arguably even more terrified than UT Alphys of it being found out, because that could mean a painful death for her.
(TW: suicide mention) I do kind of see UF Mettaton as the common fanon, though I have my own tweaks. he really wanted to become a star in the Underground, planning to bring back hope and promote peace. unfortunately, most monsters laughed him off. the people running the new television industry found that making Mettaton a laughingstock was getting them a lot of views and therefore a lot of money, so they kept him on and forced him to do some pretty humiliating things. because of that, UF Mettaton is pretty depressed and yes, suicidal, but he keeps holding just for Alphys, his only real friend.
UF Napstablook isn't too much different from UT Blooky in my mind, though they probably have a worse temper because of the general atmosphere of the Underground, and because of their beloved cousin going missing. they're a secret fan of Mettaton.
I never really liked the popular fanon for UF Toriel, so she's also very similar to her UT counterpart. she's a very kind and motherly person who largely keeps to herself and watches over the Ruins, where she allows no killing if she can help it. she's definitely befriended Sans, who can't bring himself to tell her just how bad things are in the rest of the Underground, so she's only got vague ideas of just how dangerous it would be for a human child.
and UF Asgore... it was his actions that brought the Underground to such a horrid state, but I can't at all view that as intentional. he's honestly just as averse to killing as UT Asgore. but unlike UT Asgore, he doesn't interact much with the people in his kingdom, fearing their reaction to his self-perceived pathetic-ness. he keeps to himself, becoming incredibly lonely, simultaneously praying another human never comes, and yet almost hoping they do so his people can see the sun and have a chance at healing.
and then. Flowey.
he's pretty pathetic, choosing to accompany Frisk on their journey through the Underground and helping them where he can. so, I basically went with popular fanon on this one.
(or... did I? 😏)

If you're not planning on making a genocide anymore, can you share who was planned to be fought in the hall and the megalo or are those still spoilers for something?
I still do plan to make a writeup and maybe some concept sketches at some point, but eh. I’ve already openly talked about these in the Discord, so...
The major bosses would be: - Asgore - Sans - Dohj + Royal Guard - Alphys - Mettaton SPIRAL - Sans and Papyrus (and technically Chara by virtue of mucking w/ the controls) - Determinator + six human SOULS, AKA Undying Angel.
All of these would be proper fights and not oneshot kills. Sans would fight long enough to stall for time so the evacuation can push forward and then shortcut out, which is why he’d be alive for later. There’d possibly be some minibosses sprinkled in- the royal guards would be really annoying to deal with because they’d block or guard against attacks. Some would have evacuated, though, or helped w/ the evacuation, and Toriel would be with her people, leaving the SOULs to Undyne. Undying Angel would be an unwinnable “fight” that would replace the Chara endscreen. It would be possible to abort the run in the Sans + Papyrus duo fight, at which point Frisk would start from scratch... but also be pretty screwed out of a good ending due to Undyne remembering and thus have to do ANOTHER run on top of a pacifist-neutral to get a chance to fix things (w/ Flowey taking the SOULs to selectively erase her memories).
So even “aborting” the run wouldn’t be free of consequences.
The run would also be at a lower LV- all areas after the Ruins would be fully evacuated, meaning no random encounters and the only LV gained would be from bosses. I had the idea that Frisk would also just... only attack/try to kill monsters that were a legit threat (e.g. they wouldn’t try to kill Papyrus even in this scenario for a while, and in the Ruins they’d only kill Looxes and Migosps due to baggage from the bully fight being what’d instigate the run + Flowey goading them to “level grind” since they could always restart once they’ve seen the Underground at its worst).
If Undying Angel is triggered and the “bad” ending plays out, there’d basically be no way for Frisk to continue afterwards. In-universe, Undyne would never give them the chance, and if it were a game, the exe would delete itself like the original Oneshot does. :P
But honestly, as time went on, I just... wasn’t all that interested in these ideas. It felt like I had to contrive reasons for such a run to even happen, and even if some concepts (like Undying Angel) were cool on paper, I’d just rather preserve IF’s integrity by focusing on its central story and not do something solely out of obligation, y’know? As for the song for the corridor fight- it’s not really a “megalo,” but I’m really in no hurry to release it at this time because I know that if I did, it’d severely overshadow the OST for the main story. It’s on my patreon for now, but I’ll probably release it when the main story has concluded.
Again, I might do a more thorough write-up for the story at a later date, but it’s really not something I’m all that focused on right now. (And again, I ask that folks refrain from geno fan stories, etc, for now because I’d rather wait until I’m in a place where I actually wanna discuss story plans).

I'd like to hear about what you believe was ooc for mettaton to do :0
(I like your takes haha)
Oh I'm glad! I did mention things I dislike about Mettaton's canon characterization a few times, but since you're asking, I'll fully get into it here.
I've already made a post about this one, but I hate that Burgerpants' "young nihilistic low wage worker who hates his job" character leans on Mettaton treating him awfully. Aside from this changing Mtt from a flawed but still well-meaning person to a really shitty employer who mistreats one of his employees for no reason (not that reasons would justify it), it seems really odd? Because if you choose to kill Mettaton in a neutral run and talk to the employees at the resort afterwards, all of them (except BP) will talk pretty positively about Mtt.
The Hand receptionist talks about how he would always check up on his employees, telling them they're doing a good job, and whenever they (Hand receptionist ) were having a bad day, they would give each other a thumbs up. The Diamond Receptionist talks about how they struggled to be hired until Mettaton gave them a job at the resort. Several monsters were concerned, upset or felt disorganized by Mettaton's disappearance. He really seems to care about his employees and do a lot of the organizing at the resort himself, so it's just weird that he mistreats BP.
The other things I largely dislike are certain bits of the King Mettaton ending, which is a shame because I actually really like most of it. I like how Mettaton, who lives to be a celebrity and make people happy, struggles to be a proper ruler to the underground and covers serious issues up by pretending that things are fine and just keeps decorating the kingdom instead. I like that he comes to realize that he wasn't a great friend to Alphys and wanted to apologize and ask her to help run the kingdom, but then discovering that she's gone and somehow having to cope with that on top of everything.
However I hate that he apparently brainwashes people with his show and uuhh... kills??? everyone who dislikes it. I don't even know where to begin here. Like, it seems really extreme, not just generally but for Mettaton as well. I already made a post on that, but Mtt shows to really care about people and it's such an overlooked quality of his because people focus more on his self-importance. He cares about humanity, he cares about his fans, his employees, and his friends and family, even if he has his problems with them. Dare I say, he shows his most selfless side in an aborted No Mercy run, not minding that he's just about to die as long as he knows Alphys, the evacuated monsters and humanity won't be harmed. And for all that to turn so awful in his ending? I think it would've been enough to have him be overwhelmed, ignoring problems and just bad at being a ruler.
And the worst part about all of this? It feels like a joke. BP feels like he's supposed to be a funny poke at the "young nihilistic worker who hates his job" type as I mentioned before so lets just make Mtt a shitty boss to him. The King Mettaton ending feels like a "self-centered celebrity turns out to be a terrible king" kinda thing that exaggerates things. Honestly, I just think Mtt deserved better writing in several fields. I know he's supposed to be a funny character, but he also has some depth and complexity and to bend him into an awful, irredeemable person for jokes and exaggerations does him injustice.

Heyo! I'm sorry for asking, just out of curiosity. But what do you think about the ships in the undertale fandom? And the shipkids?
by the way, i've seen your Undertale amv and I frickin' loved it! I was so happy to find your tumblr! :D
Oh man that is a whole can of controversial worms. In short: I’m picky. Quite honestly, I’m only really actively into Alphyne and Sansby. There are plenty of ships I have nothing against, and I think are cute, but also a few that make me personally very uncomfortable.
I don’t have much of an opinion on fan kids, and that’s generally because no matter what fandom I’m in, I’m never gonna connect with OCs. That’s part of the reason I tend not to be super into the AUs either,,, Again, I have nothing against them, but I’m always gonna love Toby’s original characters a lot more. I prefer to see fan kids as tools just to see how characters would be as parents. For example, I would read a story about Alphys and Undyne adopting and then having to adapt to parenthood, though I wouldn’t read a story focusing on the next generation only.
Though all of that just ties into my personal tastes, and people are free to have their own as well. But yea, hope that answers your question!
I’m happy you enjoyed it! That video is so old now,,, I really need to get around to posting something new on that channel 😂

Like everyone else, i must thank you for this amazing game. It is, without a doubt, one of the best undertale fan games. Somethings:
1. It is my headcannon that the True Passion Route Is The Official Undertale Ending. It just feels like an ideal Ending for undertale, and it feels like undertale. It is a undertale love letter meets the official undertale.
2. Passion, The Major Theme Of Your Game, Is Just Perfect For Undertale Fangame.
2.1/3. The Theme Of Passion Was Very Special To Me. You see, I am on the autism spectrum, and my specific interest is undertale. So, I have a healthy but Strong Passion For Undertale. Seeing a Game Like This Is Very Fullfiling.
3. I already said that I love your art in previous Asks, but you surpassed yourself in this game. From the background, atmosphere, to The characters.
4. The writing is superb, just beautiful and heartfelt.
5. I must ask, If you don't want this ask public, it's okay. But if it is because i mentioned my autism, I must say that, unless you feel uncomfortable, it's okay to post. I am proud to boast my autism.
6. You actually made me empathize with Flowey. He Actually Acts Like Us, And With The Reason of not feeling Alone and wanting to connect with this world, and not wanting to leave this world.
7. I was going to choose Asgore as Final Call, But Azzy Stole The Spot.
8. Love and Admire All Your Works. No Pressure though, Just sending positive vibes in this paragraph.
Again, thank you for everything, And Stay Safe :)
Aaaaaa this is all so nice??? fdbhsafj I can’t come up with a singular paragraph response cause I just wanna say so much, so I’m going to respond to each of these ;w;
1 & 2 - I’m really glad you think so!! I really wanted to try and capture all of the passion I felt playing the game with that route’s ending -- and the game as a whole. It’s funny you call it a love letter, because in my head, Act to Flirt has always been an apology letter for how horrifically I thought of and treated this game when it came out purely due to how much it was shoved down my throat. But after getting a chance to play it, I honestly feel nothing but silly for putting it down so much.
But, with the whole theme of “Determination” being what guides you in Undertale, I always interpretted that to be like, how the reason you do something in video games isn’t because you’re necessarily acting as you would irl. It’s because, since you have no risk of hurting yourself or anyone else actually, it’s an open space, letting you act however you want with no real-life consequence. But when the game takes this for a spin and makes you step back to really bring the game to life and put it in a perspective... it really makes you wonder a lot about your choices more so than you would in any other game.
So, this being a “sequel,” based on timeline events; to Undertale, “Passion” is supposed to encapsule the care and feelings the player still has after they played the game. My main thought process when coming up with this was to sort of “market” the game at the beginning similarly to how Determination was merely shown as a power to you -- it’s just a silly, fun game where you can do whatever you please, directed at those who still feel very close to Undertale and its characters and are constantly looking for new content about it. It’s impossible to cover the bases for every player, and yet the majority of the game is designed around a specific type of player. It’s... risky from a game design standpoint, for sure lol. I genuinely wasn’t sure if anyone would play the game at all. But I’m really glad to see it’s resonated with you so well ;w;
3 & 4 - I’m so glad you think so 😭 this really means a lot aaaa thank you so much;;
I always worry I get a bit too repetitive or weirdly paced sometimes with my writing, since I write almost purely stream-of-consciousness while putting myself directly into the emotions the character I’m writing would be feeling. I struggle writing any other way, aha;;
5 (and 2 1/3 lol) - While I don’t have autism, I do have ADHD and have also always been between various hyperfixations my whole life. I’ve actually been measuring time based on them since I was a kid, and if I didn’t have one at the time of an event, I don’t remember it at all 😅 Fictional characters have always been a very important thing for me to lean on in life -- since, at many points, I didn’t have anybody else to go to. I’ve always wanted to make something with characters that have relatable problems to those learning about them so people can have a something to lean on with a problem they might otherwise feel alone on. And, well, one “problem” that I don’t think I’ve ever really had the chance to write about before is being significantly connected to fictional characters that you can’t meet in real life. With Undertale having the whole concept of “resets” being acknowledged in one form or another by a lot of the characters, and the cast being so wonderfully designed and written already; it made UT an obvious choice for being able to discuss that. It definitely made Sans’s route really fun to write... and I actually started crying a little writing his ending fdbshafjb i’m a mess LMAO
6 & 7 - I’m really glad, honestly!!! I didn’t like Flowey when I first played Undertale (and actually killed him my first playthrough... then again I killed a lot my first playthrough cause I didn’t realize it was optional 😅😅), but after learning more about him, Asriel, and Chara, I really grew to like him! He’s one of my favorite characters now, actually. The moment Asriel was able to start talking about his struggles, I understood him almost instantaneously just because I relate to a lot that he deals with. Asriel’s ending is actually tied for Papyrus’s as my favorite (of the ones I wrote! @alch3mic wrote Undyne’s, Toriel’s, Asgore’s, and Alphys’s ^^), too. So I’m really glad how I wrote him made you like him more as a character ;w;♥
annnnnnnd for 8....... you’re too nice, thank you so much fbdshafb I’m glad you like my works so much!! I really do my best to make things that can really resonate with people, so I’m always both astounded and happy to hear when someone’s been impacted by what I’ve made ;w;/
