I was scrolling through YouTube and I saw a video thumbnail of the Dune sandworm battle, and the sandworm looked much bigger than I remembered in the movie….so instead of clicking like a normal person to check and make sure I was right, I scrolled past and said out loud,

“It’s clickbait. I know it’s not that big.”

Of course my roommate overheard me and just shrieked “WHAT” like she had just been shot and only then I realized what I had said out of context. 💀💀💀💀

I’ve been really into Cult of the lamb recently, and one of the things I find absolutely fascinating is the bishops + Narinder and their injuries regarding the see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil, think no evil, and do no evil scheme, and how that points to how the bishops acted and were portrayed before their injuries even without some of the dialogue, as well as how drastic their behaviors and mentalities must have changed after.

Narinder is the most obvious with this because before he was chained and sealed away, he was doing things that were perceived by others to be evil. (I couldn’t find a solid source of what it was specifically he did other than betraying the bishops, so let’s leave that to interpretation) Whatever it was he was doing, the other bishops considered to be bad enough that they imprisoned him for 1000 years with very little movement overall, and hence taking away his ability to really DO anything.

Shamus’s is another great example because seeing as they’re the god of war, as well as considered to be the brightest of the bunch and very wise, it only makes sense that they’d think an incredible amount, and considering the war part it only makes sense that they’d therefore THINK evil in the way we see evil being done DURING actual wars. So the injuries to the brain obviously must hinder this and leave them to be a mental shell of what they once were mentally, crown or not. I find it incredibly intriguing to think that before they lost a majority of their brain function that they were probably far stronger and far more deadly than we face in the game because they could think of so many ways to destroy an enemy, evil or not, and how limited their thought process was post injury.

Kallamar is a bit tricky seeing as we only really hear Kallamar as a cowardly person, but considering he’s the god of pestilence, which throughout history has time and time again looped over famines as well as wars and (obviously) deaths, it’s safe to assume he heard many evil things, and when you hear something especially from family or people you love and trust, you tend to absorb that thing into your own ideology. With that logic, I like to think Kallamar was hearing and thus absorbing these beliefs as he heard them from his siblings. Post injury, however, I think he probably had a very difficult time hearing in general, and considering the betrayal of Narinder would no doubt affect his ability to trust even his other siblings, I feel like he’d stop absorbing the ideologies his siblings had, for fear they may betray him too.

Heket, we learn, was the more fearsome or aggressive out of the siblings. She no doubt would have been loud about her beliefs, evil or not. (I’ve had experience with aggressive people, and one trait they tend to share is that they are LOUD about their opinions) To say Heket most likely was a loud and very vocal bishop with what she believed is an understatement, I’ve no doubt she would have preached ferociously before her injury about what she thought should go. Post injury however, she would have to have lost some of that ferocity due to not having a proper voice outside of using her crown. Without her crown as a follower, she barely speaks because she most likely is in a lot of pain when she does, and I have no doubt that there was still pain speaking even before she lost her crown, her throat was ripped out! So she probably had to be careful not to overexert her voice even with the crown, and thus I think she wouldn’t have had the energy to be as loud and ferocious speaking her truth, because she would’ve been in absolute pain to preach like she would have before her injuries.

Leshy is by far the most difficult to analyze with the pattern here, I mean he’s the god of chaos how does that relate to seeing evil? Then it hit me like a stack of bricks, Leshy was they youngest and thus probably looked up to his siblings. Effectively WATCHING and SEEING evil. And from seeing his older siblings doing all this as well as being the youngest sibling, I’ve no doubt he copied them just like younger siblings normally do when they look up to someone. With that logic, pre injury I think he was probably very observant with his siblings and wanting to be like them. He’d see his sibling talk or act a certain way and go to copy as younger siblings do. Post injury, he can’t do that anymore because he can’t SEE them do these things so he doesn’t have a visual as to WHAT they’re doing. Plus, he’d probably be hesitant to blindly copy his older siblings after Narinder, his big brother, clawed his eyes out!

these are just my takes on their before and afters and how they do or would act as a result of everything, but whether you believe in any of this stuff I typed out or not I hope you found some enjoyment out of it! I think my overall point is that theorizing about all of this is just really cool cause there’s a lot of possibilities as to how they were affected physically and mentally. :)

An annoying habit it I have is informing people that when Dean said “dude, on my car, he showed up naked, covered in bees.” He didn’t mean that Cas was physically sitting on his car, he was using it as a figure of speech.

Ex. “On my life, I didn’t touch that” “on my mommas life, I didn’t go there”

But for Dean, his life’s not that much of a things to swear on seeing as he’s tried to sacrifice himself so many times. And obviously his mother is dead. He’s literally just saying “dude, deadass, he showed up naked covered in bees.”

Alright guys, guys, hear me out.

Pirates.

Like, Stephen, before his accident, was a royal doctor and best of the best. Stephen’s most frequent patients were Tony and Pepper because Tony was (is) a reckless doufus and Pepper all the time had to drag him somewhere to patch him up. The couple (yeah they were already a couple before meeting Stephen) were visiting so often that they both started to have a crush on a certain badass, handsome, snarky royal doctor (who wouldn't?).

(Tony and Pepper, like 100%, had nights where they were squealing into pillows, babbling about how perfect Stephen was, and telling Rhodey how badass and cool Stephen was. And yea, Rhodey is their therapist and adviser on how to woo Stephen into a relationship and, hopefully, their bed.)

But then Stephen’s accident happened, he left, became a sorcerer, and started to travel and sail across the world. After Stephen left, “civil war” happened, Tony and Pepper left and became pirates.

And so, many years later, Pepper and Tony hear about some wizard who tried, with his “evil” tricks, to get his place as a royal doctor back but failed. Rumors say that the wizard is sailing across the sea and the couple decides that they would like to pay a “visit” (kidnap him *cough*) to their doctor, especially since their crew needs a doctor.

In Stephen’s doctor days, he didn't really remember them, all he remembered was a very annoying couple that visited him too often. But when the said pair kidnapped him, well, it's not like he has a chance to say no because 1. They'll just put him in a cage or something and he would rather prefer to patch up a couple of people and a normal room than to sit in a cage and rot. 2. His past crew was boring and he wanted some adventures because in his doctor days, the pair was known for their tendency to attract trouble. 3. From what he remembered, they weren't bad people and they didn't like violence (if there was a peaceful way). Also, the fact that Tony was the captain of this ship and Pepper was his right hand, he would be relatively fine. 4. Tony and Pepper (from his previous interaction where they attacked his previous crew) became absolutely different people, that were worth his time. The pair was absolutely in their element, from being awkward and awestruck, they became badass and snarky, commanding and snarking at everyone on this ship.

So Stephen decided to hang around for some time, but before, he made sure that everyone treated him respectfully by leaving the captain and his right hand awestruck. (the truth is, the couple didn't really change, they were always like this. On people they were in their “persona”, with someone who they could trust they were adorable gremlins. Stephen never really bothered to look at them when they were working, not sitting in his workroom and awkwardly joking.) Tony and Pepper remembered their days before becoming pirates and Rhodey started to suffer again ( yes Rhodey is with them whenever he can go sailing with them).

(after such a long time of simping, Stephen was devoured ;) ).
