i really liked your pjo headcannons post. i thought it was interesting, since most people always put physical touch as some of the main ll for the characters, esp leo n percy. do u have any other headcanons for either of them? it can be generic things, like what they would do with a s/o, or it can be weird shit idc? i swear ive read lit every single post to exist on tumblr n i need more

Oh my god thank you so much! This is so sweet. I'm surprised my first ever post is doing as well as it is. I expected to pass as pretty unnoticed in the beginning. I do have a lot of headcanons for the characters, but I'm going to do Leo in this one since he's my absolute favourite

Note: I haven't read the HOO books in a while, but I just finished my reread of PJO, so if any 'headcanon' is actually canon, please just pretend that I'm Uncle Rick himself.

Leo Valdez Headcanons - loves sweet&spicy. If that's an option in the menu at the restaurant he went to, he will absolutely get it. He's kind of obsessed with it to the point where one might get worried about his taste buds

- if he had to choose between sweet and sour, he would absolutely pick sweet any day. That's not really the best considering he's very ADHD, even for a demigod and his intake of sugar doesn't really help much, but he just loves sweet. He doesn't care if it's chocolate-type sweet or sugar-sweet, he just likes it. You can bet that when he comes out of Bunker 9 after a long day, his tongue would be all types of colours because his 'meal' for the day was whatever candy was in his stash of sweets

- now if you made the choice between sweet, sour and spicy, he would struggle to pick

- he hates coffee. he's simply not a coffee guy. he thinks it tastes nasty, since we established he loves anything sweet and coffee is definitely not sweet. and he doesn't need it anyway, he's hyper as is. if anything, coffee makes him more tired

- i feel like he would get pretty into anime if he tried watching it. from the trending shonen, chainsaw man would be his fave, but in general he would be such a fan of one piece imo. he is that person who has unironically watched the whole thing like three times - he feels guilty when he isn't doing something productive since he feels this need to constantly be creating something, but he also loves to just get distracted by something and do his own thing for hours, even if there's no 'productive' outcome. so he 'wastes' his time and feels guilty the entire time, but the enjoyment he gets out of it evens out the guilt (what do you mean i'm not projecting on my favourite character... at all...)

- secretly a good singer. piper once caught him singing in the shower and then dragged him out and forced him to sing out loud because she was not expecting such an angelic voice to come out of him

- his go to karaoke song is 'cake by the ocean' by dnce

- i feel like he would learn how to play the guitar and he will be shockingly good at it. like he learns a song so fast and because his fingers are always doing something and tinkering with things, this is the perfect way for him to get his energy out while also having lots of fun

- i also feel like he would purposefully not tell anyone he learned the guitar and one day he just whips out this new talent of his and everyone's like '????'

- honestly, leo is just good at everything. if he wasn't a hephaestus kid, he would be a son of hermes, because he is such a jack of all trades. he is incredibly intelligent (which is canon, btw, and if it's not yes it fucking is have you seen the guy, he is borderline as smart as Annabeth, if not smarter, just in another flavour), but also anything he attempts to do, he succeeds in. he can draw, he can play the guitar, he can sing, he absolutely is a great dancer. you would expect he sucks at cooking but nope, there he goes, making a gourmet meal like it's nothing. he isn't much of a fighter, but if he needs to hold his ground, he can. he's just so versatile, you can barely catch him off guard with something he can't master in a few hours

I fucking love Leo, can you notice this from my post?? seeing so many posts on tumblr that make so much sense, whatever happened after BOO? no it didn’t. (also i changed a lot of previous canon in my head el oh el)

this is all over the place. it’s technically just like a compilation of headcanons that i’ve accepted as canon from all over tumblr LMAO

leo and calypso are not together. he related to her whole heartbreak thing and they’re really good friends and he helped her get off the island but after that they kinda went their separate ways and calypso explored the modern world, joining the hunters later on.

piper and jason may have broken up but jason did not die (while yes i know it makes sense canonically, i don’t care. i’m not letting thalia lose her brother again.) and they remained friends. reyna may have resigned from praetor but she did not join the hunters, she stayed in new rome and maybe eventually she and piper may have some…kissing to do.

percy and annabeth do not go to new rome for college, annabeth starts to build new athens (or whatever you wanna call it) for camp halfblood and percy stays in new york to remain close to his family and to see his little sister be born and be there for her growing up.

hazel is 15, frank is 16. idrc if they’re in a relationship or not like they’d be cute friends while also being a cute couple so idk but they did become praetors, same as in canon (i think LMAO i haven’t read TOA in a while and i haven’t finished). but yeah. closer in age. there was no reason for hazel to be like what was it, 13? idk. there was no reason for that. (don’t come at me w that “it shows demigods are usually children and danger and death and blah blah blah” idc they didn’t need to be in a relationship then. its weird)

leo and percy are good friends. leo and annabeth are good friends. leo and piper are BEST friends. leo and jason are best friends too but leo and piper are closer. leo and nico grow closer and are good friends (maybe some romance? but hey that’s neither here nor there) i really just want leo to be friends with everyone bc it just Makes Sense but whatever-

clarisse and piper are good friends too. clarisse can sometimes see glimpses of silena in her which hurt but also makes her all the more protective of her. piper gets a lot of stories of silena from her too.

piper and leo get stories from their siblings from annabeth and percy but i already have a post on that teehee but anyways yeah those four are close friends

drew isn’t actually a bitch. she and percy were friends and she was worried for her friend and maybe went about it the wrong way. she was just stressed and worried and i mean. her sister just died and she was hailed a hero but apparently word got around that she was a traitor. of course she’s a lil miffed. but she’s not a bitch. i refuse. (okay like yeah she’s mean but she’s not the raging bitch portrayed in canon)

frank didn’t go through the whole “woosh. now ur built like a tank” thing. he’s still just. frank. beginning of son frank. just more comfortable in his body so less clumsy but still don’t let him hold glass for too long.

sally is a close descendent of venus. i will not be elaborating. maybe. idk. possibly. (i did it)

HAZELS EYES GLOW GOLD WHEN SHE USES HER POWERS !!! other than that they’re a dark brown !!

I know you will hate me for this question and im sorry about it, but do you ever even for a second think “whay if were wrong? What if were defending someone awful?”… because something for a flick of a second this thought comes back to me. And its is mainly because two of the grils have said nothing for weeks.

but the truth is I cant stand kayla and aries amd every time i think of them i just stop believeing wtv bullshit they try to spinz their attitudes are discusting and i dont feel for them. Plus i think Aries has some serious mental health issues. I went through her old tweets from years ago and i dont know if shes better now but before holy moly. I hope she gets the help she needs. And btw she IS the reddit poster lol. Not gonna say why but if you scrool far back enough in her tweets from years ago you will figure it out, unless she deleted them now.

so yeah sometimes i still feel bad because well desiree got raped and thats awful and we dont really know what went down between him and karis.

I posted a few weeks ago, right as it began and I took a stance, that if I was wrong about it I would own it and apologise. But honestly (and people may judge me for this, but idc), it's not a thought that has crossed my mind ever since I saw where this all came from. I really dig deep on this, and I found the burner accounts and the "my friend told me about this" stories, right as it began.

I mean, it's awful what happened to Desiree. But her trying to pin it on Percy while she knows and protected her abusers??? Too much for me to feel pity. She can't right a wrong by commiting another wrong.

I try not to get into the whole Aries debacle. I feel disgusted by her, and I don't like speaking about it. Her spreading the CP and laughing about it all, it's something that I will never forget.

Whatever bullshit that happened between him and Karis... should really have stayed in High School. That's all I'm saying.

But yeah, to sum it up, I don't have the doubting thought. I had the disbelief moment of "I can't believe this, he always seemed so sweet, he helped me so much", the "I need to figure this out moment" and the current one of "I have to help him somehow".

BOOK 4, BATTLE OF THE LABYRINTH LLAMALAD REVIEW

Ok first HELLO?!?!?!? I HAVENT DONE SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN FOREVER?!?! Now thanks to my new aztec mythology storyline I've decided to dive back into the pjo series and finish book four. I finally have the time to do so, AND NOW I GET EVEN MORE STUFF TO READ I GOT 5 MORE BOOKS AFTER THIS ONE, THEN THE SUN AND THE STAR, THEN THAT OTHER ONE!! (I forgor the name) NOT TO MENTION THE NEW SERIES COMING UP!!! so excited rn!! Alrighty let's get onto the review. THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS BTW

EVENTS MAY BE OUT OF ORDER DUE TO ADHD RAMBLING

OK SO THE BEGINNING SEEMED PRETTY NORMAL. always like seeing capture the flag, very fun!! Im a certified hater of the saytrs that were dissing grover, they can go like, fall in a hole or something.

Possible jail break with a coward dude with 100 hands?!?!?! Also woman with like a bunch of dragon and other animal heads that's also pretty cool. Comparing these designs to aztec monsters is very silly lol

Skipping to when they finally get into the laberynth, HERA IS VERY SUSPICIOUS I DON'T LIKE HER, but like then again maybe she's just on edge cuz Zeus cheated on her like half a million times. So what do I know.

Sphinx scene was very silly, sphinx is bbg, she is one of my favorite monsters cuz she reminded me of nepeta from homestuck.

Percy getting blown up by a volcano filled with silly little feral creatures is also pretty standard, then getting saved by some garden person. Her name was calypso, very nice name!! Her character was also refreshing.

Fight with that other one son of poseidon was also very cool, but i was too busy feeling bad about Annabeth and her interaction with Luke. Buuuut- ANNABETH STOP CRYING OVER HIM IK HES LIKE A SIBLING TO YOU BUT GET OVER IT HES EVIL NOW!!!!

Stupid little creature eyepatch demi god literally running as soon as they free him, mf is NOT greatful. Smh. IDC IF YOURE THE CHILD OF THE REVENGE GOD OR WHATEVER GET OVER IT YOU EDGELORD!!! speaking of edgelords, NICO STOP TALKING TO DRUG DEALER GHOSTS WHO HOLD YOUR DEAD SISTER OVER YOUR HEAD STOP!!

Speaking of nico when he got held hostage by that other guy previously and percy had to talk to those freaky flesh eating horses, those monsters were pretty neat. Like carnivorous horses seem like an awesome creature design. 10/10 would fight for my life.

OK GOING BACK TO THE SUBJECT when nico finally got betrayed by that ghost king guy it literally went like this

Also, my biggest comment and my FAVORITE REVEAL IS LUKE??? HELLO??? HIM COMING OUT OF THE TOMB POSESSED BY CRONOS ALMOST KILLING PERCY WITH TIME POWERS IS LITERALLY SO COOL?? it sent LITERAL chills down my spine, like, percy having time warped around him because he is the titan of time basically, and almost KILLED percy if it weren't for that hair brush. DUDE. LIKE, DUDE. THE NARRATIVE IMPACT IS IMMACULATE, ESPECIALLY ANNABETHS REACTION IS SO..

THEN THE LITERAL SOB FEST THAT IS PAN'S DEATH?? HELLO BRO LITERALLY JUST WANTED TO FADE AWAY BUT WAS ANCHORED BY THE FALSE HOPE OF THE SAYTRS. WUUGH WUH WRKG

Ok NEXT I must say the pet hell hound is literally adorable I love her sm TOO BAD HER OWNER KILLED HIMSELF jk nico killed him kinda BUT STILL. that battle at the end was REALLT COOL. Nico using his epic powers, tyson being tyson, and horse man shooting arrows epically?!?!?! and THE ANGST. I literally almost cried again when one of the only two dionysus children DIED. like BRO WHY THEM??? WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GIVE THEM A NAME, THAT MADE IT WORSE, AND THE FACT THAT DIONYSUS ACTUALLY CARED AND PROBABLY GRIEVED FOR HIS SON.

Ok I think I covered the main parts, finally after this and after the death ceremonies, Annabeth being annoying, and nico being emo again and leaving, percy went home for his birthday. And everything seemed normal, tyson literally being the best character as normal, Mr blowfish man wanting to marry Percy's mom. AND THEN NOT ONLY POSEIDON PULL UP, BUT ALSO NICO?? LIKE YALL WERENT INVITED BUT OK. also sand dollars are cool I guess.

Annabeth's rivalry with Clarisse was because she was attracted to her and just didn't know her. Same with Rachel; except her emotions were running high because she was into both Percy and her at the same time and just couldn't identify her feelings.

I was reading some of your posts and you had pretty good takes, so I wanted to ask what you think about the whole 'Percy is a mary sue/gary stu' thing? I see a few people saying that too many characters fall for him, he's overpowered, he has no flaws, etc. What do you think?

tbh i had no idea this was a thing until I looked it up, and yep. there are people who legit think that percy is a mary sue which is hilarious. also there r some others who claim that annabeth and piper r mary sues?? that's also a thing but im less surprised abt that even tho they r clearly very wrong as well lmaoo

so let's see what makes a mary sue: according to this dictionary "Mary Sue is a term used to describe a fictional character, usually female, who is seen as too perfect and almost boring for lack of flaws, originally written as an idealized version of an author in fanfiction."

ok so it’s true that rick wrote percy to be….similar? to his son? or at least represent him. i’m not sure and frankly idc bc in the end, percy can’t exactly be considered to be the typical self insert who could do no wrong unlike *cough* paul *cough* because, what-ho he has flaws. lol. in tlt it is established that percy has anger issues. he easily gets in trouble and again, his emotions get the best of him. (tho him being a "troublemaker” is usually bc he's the type of dude who is There at the wrong place and at the wrong time. he's a demigod and he's blamed for everything but that's another matter.) with this said, he talks back at gabe knowing that it just makes his mom's life harder. this isn't coming from malicious intent, obviously, bc percy loves his mom. he just cant help himself and his hatred (which is valid obviously) is overwhelming. he has no filter when it comes to insults (tho a lot of his internal monologue he still keeps to himself), his self-esteem is crippling (probably has a lot to do with gabe) and anyone with reading comprehension can tell that he’s a little shit!!! a little shit who is also three dimensional!!! im so confused abt why they will say that percy is written with “no flaws” as if they have the best take ever. he literally strangled nico during tlo, and sure his anger was warranted, but nico was like. ten. and percy just kept choking him😭😭. i’m sorry but dude has flaws. i think mainly people confuse being fundamentally good-natured and being powerful with having no flaws and therefore boring. these two don’t necessarily correlate, and a well written character can and will have many aspects to them, not just the cool flashy powers. a well written character won’t be boring, and therefore, won’t be a mary sue. i think people forget that. percy is more than just a son of poseidon, the hero of olympus. he isn't perfect and he isn't meant to be, because he isn't a mary sue!!! he isn’t BORING!!! truly i could rant all day and make some other post abt his flaws but frankly not today. these people clearly dont know how to read lol.

on the topic of too many characters falling for him and his looks….honestly all of that felt very natural in the books? one, nico’s crush on percy isn’t canon until waay later so we as readers didn’t know he had one while reading pjo. nico admits that he had a crush in the first place bc he began to idealize percy, for who he is (and honestly it’s realistic, given nico was young and the person who saved him and his sister was percy). two, rachel fell for the idea of percy. of the world that he was part of—she literally says this shit. and they started out as friends, so, developing feelings is easy thru friendship. obviously percy jackson is a good person, and obviously rachel saw the best parts of him and went with it. then she promptly tells him something along the lines of “bye not interested. i figured out that i don’t rly like u exactly. i just liked the idea of u being part of this magical world” and that’s that. three, calypso also falls in love with the idea of him (btw there r many things wrong with this, but u know, another can of worms. yikes). she implies that it was his character (bravery, maybe?). four, annabeth starts off as his friend. she gets to know all of him, the good and the bad, and it doesn’t rly feel like, “oh, he’s perfect and awesome and sooo good looking. that’s why everyone wants to be with him.” no. on the surface, maybe??? idk this is maybe sugar coating a lot. but all these ppl “fall in love” with percy bc of different circumstances, and not necessarily bc of his looks/all of them except for annabeth don’t get to know him well at all. they don’t exactly know abt his flaws, and….obviously percy jackson is good looking. later on, he’s described as such. lol he’s the son of a greek god??? and yet. for most of pjo he’s described as short and scrawny?? bc he’s a kid? lol. another thing: his looks aren’t the most important thing abt him. in fact, it’s barely stated in the books. us as readers infer that he must be good looking bc of some throwaway comments and how poseidon is perceived as “handsome” and percy looks like poseidon. this is later on when he’s sixteen or whatever

ig, but again, not the most important part of him. not rly mary sue material if barely anyone acknowledges his looks.

tl;dr: percy jackson can’t be a mary sue bc he’s not boring: he has flaws as well as good qualities to him. his “good looks” aren’t important like they r in actual mary sue characters since they r barely mentioned. characters fall for him bc of different aspects of his character, not necessarily bc of the previous thing abt the “good looks.” PERCY JACKSON CANNOT BE A MARY SUE AND YALL CLEARLY CANT READ

- i actually liked drew. im so sorry to everyone who hates her but full offence, why. think about it this way ok, first of all drew became hc because silena died. silena was the traitor, the one who betrayed chb, yet after she died campers celebrated her as a hero? and then drew suddenly has to replace her and live up to idk that legacy she left behind,, when all of a sudden this girl named piper swoops in and takes her place. idk abt u but i wld be salty abt that too. not only that, but as an asian, the chances of drew having faced racism/bullying as a child is pretty high (she studies at brooklyn academy). which means that when she finds out shes a demigod, and arrives at chb where most of the campers are white (this is an assumption btw), she’d obviously be scared of being bullied for her skin color right?? so the first thing she wld do before the campers get to bully her is to bully them before they can do so. (sentence structure here is wack i apologize) ofc this might not even have happened, drew could have had a perfect childhood && was a b1tch for no reason, BUT EVEN THEN HER ROLE AS A BULLY WAS PRETTY VITAL BECAUSE THAT FURTHER SHOWED THE CONTRAST BETWEEN HER AND PIPER,, HIGHLIGHTING PIPER AS A HERO//GOOD CHARACTER,, AND THEREFORE MAKING READERS LIKE PIPER MORE. anyway stop hating on drew please. AND THEN GREEK DEMIGODS COME TO CJ AND ONE OF THEM BOMB IT UP?? octavian has been told all his life that greeks are scum and this dude called leo valdez attacks cj. sure it was an accident, but did octavian know that? no. so it was honestly justified that he was such a salty prick im just saying. also some of yall be hating on octavian for cutting a teddy bear open and thats the funniest shit ive ever heard i swear

- luke didnt go to elysium

- travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- demigods of the demeter cabin arent talked about enough and i love the fact that meg was demeters kid. like she isnt the child of one of the big three yet shes so powerful.

- we need to hype clarisse up more her character arc was phucking amazing

- rachel is overhated. sis found out greek gods exist and regularly come down to earth to fuck around and went “ok cool”. queen shit behavior methinks

- the floor 19 crew of mcga is srsly underrated. like do u even remember halfborn gunderson, mallory keen, tj, etc??? bc i feel like we only remember samirah, magnus, alex, and sometimes blitz and hearthstone

- sadie (tkc) was kinda annoying at first. i like her more now tho but i rmb not liking her for a phat while

- tkc and mcga need more love

- carter kane and jason grace arent boring. theyre just really sweet boys who are too good for this world and yes yes yes

- hazel and frank (especially frank) need to be hyped up more. i hardly ever see anything about them. also yall seem to forget that frank was literally made praetor and that even hecate admired hazel and was willing to fight beside her because of how powerful she was

- frazels age gap is kinda sketch but i still think theyre really cute

- nico definitely had trauma from going to tartarus on his own

- GROVER IS PERCYS BEST FRIEND

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up. the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic

1. percy is NOT overrated and NOT underrated, he’s perfectly fine where he is. i’ve seen multiple of you out there saying percy is overrated, but HE IS THE REASON WHY YOU LIKE PJO BETTER THAN HOO AND TOA - but yea fellow percy stans stop attacking people when they say their opinions- (ngl im kind of a hypocrite because i take these things PERSONALLYYY but i just don’t say them, keep mean words to yourself y’all)

2. octavian deserves each and every hate comment. are we just gonna ignore that he was a power hungry, emotionless dude who blackmailed hazel with some very sensitive topics?? sis go straight to the field of punishment, idc idc he’s just a little better than luke, no redemption arc possible

3. luke was NOT a hero. he deserves to go rot in tartarus for all i care- to all you (hopefully) nonexistent annal*ke shippers: bring me some bleach, i really need some

21. percabeth is the best developed couple i’ve ever seen and they are so cute like CHILLS MY DUDE WITH THE FANFICS AND FANART- they aren’t too unrealistic tho, they went through their ups and downs. toxic is a whole different thing, they were never really toxic

22. i don’t really like a lot of the percabeth au fanfics like mine atm since they’re kinda boring at times but i still read them because i like seeing how people weave in character traits and events- you can literally predict the plot (rachel and luke are love interests, one of them gets hurt and yadayadayada) but there’s some plot twist which is always interesting tho

23. caleo isn’t toxic, cal just doesn’t have any social skills from being sTRANDED ON AN ISLAND FOR ETERNITY- it shouldn’t have existed since i want leo to be single (sorry) but it was good for their characters ig

24. thalia and percy’s fight was really good.

25. percy, leo, and nico aren’t really good friends, they wanted to strangle each other a lot. remember that percy’s bestie is grover.

26. drew was annoying. as an asian girl who could only cosplay her for my life, stop asking for a redemption arc, i like the type of people she represents

27. chiron is underrated

28. i loved kane chronicles! the last book was not as good but red pyramid was one of my favs. zarter is adorablee and zia can step on me and i would say thank you. i really liked sanubis but once they merged i was like uh wtf 👁👄👁

29. magnus chase was kinda boring at times- the last book with magnus’ speech that defeated loki was kinda cringe but i really liked hearthstone and blitz. fierrochase is also one of my favs, rick handled alex pretty well

30. sally and leo are a bit overrated- SORRY DON’T ATTACK ME I LOVE THEM BUT THEY ARE TOO LIKED IN THIS FANDOM

31. i don’t think any demigod is more powerful than another. they all have really strong powers but each of them has a lot of negatives WHICH IS WHY THEY’RE PERFECT THE WAY THEY ARE. also, in general, stop asking for so many redemption arcs, i love redemption arcs but some characters must stay flawed and bad. if you want a good one, zuko from atla’s is perfection

32. my favorite characters are percy, annabeth, sadie, and magnus. i like other characters too, but there are so many characters i like to the point where i forget about them so this is all i remember (i need to reread LMFAO-)

33. this might be controversial but i really don’t like any of the noncanon ships in any fandom? like unless the canon ships are that horrible, i do not ship any noncanon ships. you have a perfectly fine canon ship there with a lot of content but you have to go out of your way to ship two other characters?? chile 😔🤚

34. last but not least, MR. RICK RIORDAN IS NOT A GOD. stop cancelling him for the smallest of things, he’s not perfect like the rest of us and stop getting mad at his representation, be happy he has it in the first place.

i love how it started out with Magne being dyslexic like how Rick Riordan wrote in his series, i loved reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians so i had a little nostalgia lol

the way they are defending the environment, trying to get attention to that subject is just beautiful, it's not all about the Norse mythology

not gonna lie the whole thing feels like it's low budget but they did good on using their budget

and the whole season felt like a REALLY long pilot episode

but yea i love it i highly recommend it

btw it is slightly violent

also it's aesthetically pleasing like even if you don't like the plot you could just watch for that

- Look, your entire thought process was simplified in a very simple flowchart:

->“Get a job in Detroit.” ->”Are the people in charge either monsters or monsters?” ->”If no, stay as normal as possible while earning as much as you could to live.” ->”If yes, then fuck.”

- You didn’t want to have a disguised kampê come breathing down your neck while you were busy cleaning up the windows in a CyberLife store. Neither did you want a dracanae come and stab you with a dagger while you were serving unsanitary burgers in a food truck. You were in your late 20s now and it was a miracle how you didn’t kick the bucket just yet.

- Surprisingly or unsurprisingly, you got a job at the Detroit Police Department as a detective. It was no surprise that you passed the test with flying colors, the first thing being that you had much better insights at crime scenes and the fact that you were practically untouchable when things get rowdy. Some people thought you could’ve been an android that passed as a human based on looks.

- Oh, did I mention that Kamski is a demigod? Because Kamski is definitely a demigod. One reason why he went into hiding is because of the influx of monsters using his plans as means for an ‘upgrade’.

- With how good you are as a detective, it was a no-brainer that you got to meet Lt. Anderson and Connor, the android sent by CyberLife. The duo was amusing to say the least, the human drunkenly stated the android to kindly fuck off was one of the highlights of your work. It reminded you so much of the Hermes kids back at camp. You did feel bad for Connor, though but it wasn’t your place to intervene.

- There are definitely demigods or monsters in disguise at the precinct. The nymph that always greets you at the desk, the satyr who leads the interrogations, and the Demeter kid who would liven her desk with an arrangement of succulents.

- SO LETS TALK ABOUT MONSTERS.

- Bet on my ass that during an interrogation, the suspect was a giant in disguise. Well, the term giant was already used since the man himself had his clothes stretched to the seams. It only took you to enter the room to have the giant break of the chains and broke the walls to have breakfast.

- Just imagine Connor having to short-circuit at the idea that those stories that humans created to scare children are actually real. It got so bad to the point that steam came out of his mouth as his exoskeleton began to excess sweat. - “How is having the lower torso of a reptile make any sense?!” - “How do you even exist?!” - “Honestly same, Connor.”

- Hank wasn’t any better though. He claims that no amount of whiskey can ever drown out the memory of you decapitating that giant with a sword that you managed to smuggle in the precinct. - “Oh yeah, Jimmy’s a satyr btw.” - “A what.” - “Half-man, half-goat?” - “Figures why he needs the tip jar.”

- Gavin is prolly drinking with Hank. He just couldn’t grasp the idea that you are a demigod and that gods exist and are among the living people he sees. Once he sobers up, he’s marching up to you and yelling at you like a damn siren, not even caring at the thought that you can impale him at any time. - “I don’t care what you are! I want you out of this damn place so none of those--things can come back!” - “Uh... Officer Robinson is a child of Ares so somebody’s gotta keep him in line.”

- Honestly add more stuff here idc bc you can take this crossover off of my dead hands.
