Ok, having played Ocarina of Time, but neither Majora's Mask nor Twilight Princess, yet still having read all the arguments, in my opinion what happens romantically in the child timeline is that Zelda and Link are sort of soulmates and would be better staying with each other, but Zelda didn't act fast enough. First she was royalty and didn't figure out that Link thought they couldn't be together, since in the child timeline he was nobody. Second she knew she was a lesbian and was confused about how that fit with Link's gender. The problem was that Malon kept throwing herself at Link, so in the end Link got her pregnant and had no choice but to marry her. Link did like Malon a lot, so in the end it was a good marriage, even if it left him with a sense of unhappiness not to be with his soulmate. Zelda got herself a wife she also liked a lot, but was also partly unfulfilled. In all this Zelda also managed to procreate and continue the bloodline, possibly with Link as a donor. And this is what happens when Nintendo refuses to say anything and I am left in charge of the story-making.

M: When this afternoon am I getting the rundown on the new killer robots?

C: What? Next week, when you said you needed the new killer robots by.

M: This week, I said this week. Today, Friday the 13th.

C: Well, you’re not getting them today, because they’re not nearly done yet and I’m leaving early. It’s date night.

M: Yes, yes it is! Which is why I need the killer robots!

C: Tough. Our dinner reservations are at 6:30 and we already got Tyelpe a sitter.

M: Can you come back afterwards to manually—

C: Date night. It’s our anniversary next week. I got a welding studio and a hotel room.

M: Just for an hour—Mala can come too, obviously—

C: Because I want to have future anniversaries, I am not bringing anyone I love, including myself, within 3 miles of your and Fingon’s weird foreplay ever again.

M: …Fine. Say, the robots run on electricity, right? Who’s babysitting Tyelpe?

C: What the fuck did I just say, Nelyo?

M: Deb, get me a car at 4pm today and reschedule anything I have after that. I’ll be kidnapping my nephew from his after-school program, and when we get back, I’ll need some sort of DVD player, both Home Alone movies, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and anything else you can think of that’s instructive in that genre. Also a large pepperoni pizza—actually, one large pepperoni and one medium everything-meat—and 2 large jars of lightly irradiated peanut butter. Objective Result: Mixed.

Summary: Plans retrieved (Phoenix’s personal safe, not R&D), but Phoenix likely had copies made and backed up elsewhere. Phoenix is capable of being a Cool Uncle, but pride is still his downfall; I left him handcuffed temporarily incapacitated. 5 agents injured, 1 serious but not life-threatening (Aqualia, broken ankle). Everyone but me got dragged out before reaching objective. Spark could be a real problem if he commits to villainy, but right now he’s mostly just 9 years old.

Ohoho, I'll give you a line from the Lucien fic! Lucien dream kidnaps Essek for a night during the Aeor arc.

Have a snip, warning for (non-graphic) strangulation:

“Beg me.” Lucien releases Essek’s throat. “Beg your god for mercy.”

But Essek just laughs, a fitful sound caught between hitching breaths. His eyes shine bright with derision and fear. “I betrayed my god,” he scrapes out in a hoarse voice. "I am faithless to the core."

It's at 5k or so words of Essek's Horrible Terrible No Good Very Bad Dream (+ a sprinkle of post-dream comfort), but needs some gaps filled in + definite editing. I'm betting it'll be 6k by the end? It's close to done! <- this is me toying with fate

Root Sasuke au 1

I have too many Sasuke aus. I’m going to word vomit them all on tumblr and then make people ask me about them so I can finally have peace of mind. so!

This one is pretty old. After the massacre, Danzo scoops up Sasuke. The official story is that he went braindead from Itachi mentally torturing him. Danzo has his reasons for this. Protecting Sasuke, both for his own safety and so that Itachi doesn’t fall out of line. To remove Sasuke from the site of his family’s murders. To ensure that he will be loyal. The Third Hokage accepts the excuses and allows it because he is, frankly, a pushover.

Itachi, Koharu Utatane, Homura Mitokado, Shimura Danzo, and the Third Hokage are the only ones who know that Sasuke is actually alive. He is raised in Root, gaining his Mangekyo Sharingan when he kills his partner. He is put into ANBU as one of Danzo’s plants at a relatively young age. I’m pretty sure it’s canonical that there is no small amount of Root agents in ANBU so those probably serve to cover for each other. Any doubts about Sasuke are manuevered away by all Root agents who are probably involved in his fake backstory.

The elders do/say something suspicious or heck come clean out about it, but Tsunade finds out that the Uchiha Massacre was ordered by Konoha. She gives Naruto & co a mission to bring Itachi back to the village. They aren’t told the truth about Itachi, simply that they need to ensure he reads the scroll and comes back with them. Naruto is unhappy with this, despite not even knowing at first that he was the Uchiha Massacre/genocide survivor. Naruto has *trauma* from when Itachi showed up to kidnap him, as Sasuke wasn’t around to distract him for the half a minute it took for Jiraiya to come back from his date.

Itachi admits that he is sick and going mostly blind to Tsunade. She works on healing him but most of the time he spends in a jail cell or interrogation as they decide what to do with them. Once he’s cleared as loyal to the Leaf they move him to a hospital and decide that as long as he doesn’t go on super strenuous missions and gets loads of healing inbetween he can do SOME missions. Except that he is going blind. Which wouldn’t be so much of a problem if Itachi was trained to do missions n stuff blind but he’s not. So it seems like Itachi is going to be retired forcibly.

Until he’s knocked out for a surgery and wakes up with perfect vision. And the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. Patient consent who? Itachi assumes that Sasuke just tracked him down in the hospital and swapped their eyes, but why? Why is Itachi still alive? Tsunade is understandably upset that nobody got clearance from her before they played musical chairs with her patients eyeballs. She can’t find out who gave the orders and it is extremely irritating. She is promptly distracted when Itachi mentions that only close blood relatives can exchange Mangekyo Sharingan and can he please see his brother now?

And Tsunade yells at him because he killed his brother. Itachi informs her that his brother is very much alive, thanks. (there is a sinking feeling in his gut because maybe Danzo lied and he really did kill Sasuke but he couldn’t have he can’t live with that-) Tsunade immediately remembers just how sketchy the elders are. And Itachi tells her about Root.

After figuring all this stuff out they go to Root headquarters. Tsunade grabs the nearest Root agent and demands they tell her where to find Sasuke Uchiha.

“Hokage-sama, that’s not going to work-” “Follow me.”

And they follow the Root agent, who is conveniently Sasuke Uchiha, into Danzo's sick lab where he has all these Sharingan and Uchiha body parts and Itachi is like oh. Oh no.

Frankly the original reason I had for Sasuke not immediately outing himself was contrived, so assume that Danzo set up some sort of contingency for him to follow or because of his seal. Itachi grapples with denial and coming to terms that he caused his baby brother to be killed and then have his body desecrates in a lab and his body parts reused.

And Danzo is imprisoned where he eventually spills the beans that yeah Sasuke’s still alive and living under a fake name. Itachi is so grateful for this, even though he never really planned to live that long and doesn’t really know how to go on. Even though his brother has clearly being through so many terrible things in Root, brainwashed beyond belief. And Sasuke is nothing like the kid he used to know.

i was honestly so. shocked. when artem just suddenly knew how to do EVERYTHING?????? but it will forever be my personal headcanon that artem is still the same boy we love and adore, and that he learned how to do the devil's tango THROUGH BOOKS. he knows that you'd probably think about having smeggs, so he researches on his computer on erotica because what else would be the best way to learn about something than reading books??? and he gets digital copies of tons of erotica (he uses digital this time because WHAT. WOULD. HAPPEN. if someone saw books like that inside of his house especially YOU.) and he gets super embarrassed thinking that "I HAVE TO ACT LIKE THIS DADDY DOM OR SHE WON'T LIKE ME." so it's in the back of his head, but he isn't thinking of acting on it, UNTIL he's drunk (and as we all know he is a completely different person when he is drunk *ahem* atmospherics ssr). and he wants her so bad but he thinks he has to act like a daddy for her to actually fwh, and the day after he's in shock. and she asks how he learned how to do that, and rosa is laughing her ass off and says that he doesn't need to do that to fwh, but if he likes acting like that then she's alright with it. and the rest of their nsfw encounters are vanilla and he's honestly still embarrassed ab that night but they get through it!!! yay!! honestly though? i'm planning to write a fic ab it and i have a blog here on tumblr too for tot fics. and. if you want i can tag you in it or send the link in dms huehuehue

as someone who usually values canon compliance (i will take whatever canon gives me and work with it no matter how miserable it makes me - you’re looking at a comic book fan AND a resident survivor of the chakotay/seven of nine apocalypse on voyager), i just. this was truly the first time i was at a loss for how to work with the canon. i knew what i’d FIX about the canon, but working w the canon itself? i was just gonna take my L and try my best to ignore it.

but. anon. this headcanon of yours. i genuinely think this is the only way i’d be able rationalize the events of this card in my mind. like THIS is how i’d work with it if i were to write with canon compliance in mind again. within the tight confines of the card we were given, this is EXTREMELY impressive writing work holy shit? thank you?? i adore the idea of artem overthinking things again with his research and this kind of misunderstanding would be fitting AND hilarious to read about HAHA

I don’t think the Claire we see at the end is real and is just a deep manipulation of reality by Allison. So no lol. But if Allison was ever a chance to be with Claire again I think she would do her best to make up for what she’s done. If that would be enough, would be up to Claire to decide.

I think Claire and Allison’s relationship is very interesting and i have a lot of different thoughts and opinions about it. I like a bunch of different scenarios for them 😩☝️
