I find the whole SI (or equivalent) employee gone dark so annoying... This one time in the comic book canon this one guy decided to go ballistic because Tony didn't pay attention to him that one time. What are you, a cat? And this happened way too often - not literally every other issue, but a lot of enough times to be a regular theme.

This gets even funnier (in a sad way) when you consider Tony's hiring pattern. As in: anyone with one good idea, anyone he finds potential in, and basically anyone that needs it gets a spot. Tony will found and encourage any project because there's a chance it will be needed in the future. Unless, of course, it crosses the line he's set up in IM1, which is something Pepper actively enforces in IM3 by turning Killian down. Yes, Quentin, looking your way. And worse, because, hello, what of the instances Tony laid down on the line, risked his own life to save his people? As in, every time any of the factories were invaded by the minor villain of the week going berserk for reason 2x+1.

That's the thanks he gets, yeah, okay.

I, for one, would like the other side of that coin. Where are the random loyal employees? Where is Bambi's tough love? I really need stories with those guys uniting and being awesome.

I’m gonna wait an hour to send SSE an email about the survey because you will Not catch me slipping and being rude to their customer service

But take this from someone who is Literally the exact target audience for this game/survey in every way but age (nowadays atleast, but I sure as hell was the actual target audience for a good 5 or so years for a long time) (As in: Manda rants about the one big gripe I have about the horse game company)

I was bullied for my interests, I was bullied for liking horses, I was made fun of for playing SSO, I was a pretty by the book definition of a horse girl, and I am absolutely fucking furious about this survey and it in Every Way Shape and Form SUCKS (read: it’s genuinely unscientific and I don’t know a single teacher of mine that I have had in my 13 years of school that would consider this a proper survey ready for people taking it), but this is not a one-time-thing for SSE to handle these topics terribly, and is actually something I’m starting to be genuinely pissed about, because holy shit it’s just Frequent As Fuck

SSE Needs to be better about their handling of real life topics, especially feminism, they are incredibly bad about handling it and have a very outdated view on both the gaming industry itself, and women in gaming

SSE acting like their game is the reason why girls even know what gaming is, and acting as if women have never touched games before SSO provided a “safe space” for them it absolutely ridiculous and just Not How It Is

Real life girls and women did Not spend years (still are even) trying to make themselves heard and seen in gaming spaces for SSE to go “Yeah that’s thanks to us”, when they are a niece barely multiplayer MMORPG that barely fits its genre in more than one way that no one with name recognition used to play without a sponsorship, and for them to act like we are still stuck in the early 2010s, it’s 2022, and while there’s still a long way to go, from someone who’s genuinely straight up been told by my male friends “Hey Amanda remember to not mention that you’re a girl in text-chats” while playing certain multiplayers, it has gotten better, but it’s Not thanks to SSE, that’s for fucking sure

I don’t mind that SSE wants to talk about these topics, there’s still a long way to go, and gaming as an industry especially is still not an equal opportunity field (the hobby however I’d argue is, and gaming has Never been as gender-neutral as it is today, frankly), but SSE is just one Swedish game company creating a niece horse game that people enjoy absolutely, but SSO has not revolutionized the gaming industry, and is, at best, a nice game with a primarily-female playerbase, but it’s not a beacon of gaming feminism, and it’s about time that SSE starts being a little bit more realistic about their game, because it was created as a passion project made on a potato and a dream, not a grand scale feminist operation (as that anniversary video sure seemed to want to claim)

Hey y'all,

Many of you know me as the goofball kind of person who has one too many fandoms and likes to reblog all sorts of stuff (currently TMNT, I'm sowwy). And some of you are a big part of my life and my Tumblr family since I started here. So, I heard through the grapevine that one of my friends was told to remove a post of a cute puppy because her content and her blog stated that it was NSFW.

Look, I can respect those ask or who post on their blog or on their pinned post such as "minors dni" or "will not allow hate speech." I totally respect it. But I would think, and I could be wrong, if someone reblogged your post and/or left a comment on it. You would probably thank them or just smile at the notification and go about your day.

So, I was able to see who it was and their pinned post already told me what kind of a person they were.

Listen, I have many people who have followed me, a couple I have peeked into the blogs and some have completely different likes and interests. Some that I'm like "whoa." But I don't insta block them. If they want to follow me, great! If not, that's okay too. I'm not here for popularity. I'm here to post my written work, make friends, and actually be around those who have the same interests as me.

Now, what really bothered me was... they looked through my friend's blog after the reblog and a comment. And that's what gave them the okay to ask my friend to delete the reblog. Because my friend does NSFW literature for fictional characters.... Well... my protective side kicked in because to me, I feel that it's denying someone who thinks your reblog is cool and punishing them.

So, I sent an Ask.

For those who have known me for a long while here on tumblr, this is what I am when someone messes with my good friends. You are my second family I wish I could all meet and give you hugs and gifts and everything you deserve. Sadly money is tight right now...

I waited for a response and my prayers were answered. But not in the way I was expecting...

Now.... this person pinned a post where he was stating about how he runs this blog. But with my ask, it's too large. He wanted to send this to me privately. In my mind, and to my friends that informed me about what had happened to them... this person is one to really talk. I would have loved to have seen this on my dash and not in a private message. It shows that you got the gonads to defend yourself and show everyone who you are.

But no, they sent it to me privately.

*inhales slowly*

I am not one to cause drama. I'm pretty drama free here on tumblr because I get enough of it at work and sometimes home. But to be like this... it really irks me to high heaven that we have people who want to be "I accept all people" then have a huge list of who you don't want.

To me, that's being a bit of a big+got (trying to work around this) and a narcissist.

To top it off, the same person posted about my ask and another ask that they received today and what really, really got me ticking was that this arsehat called me fake. I know many of you, we don't talk to one another and some that I do talk to, it's not always a lot because of time zones, work, life basically. But I am honest, I may not always be on or remember to reply (I'm sorry). But I am straight forward, honest and do my best each and everyday to be better because I am an effed up person and I am no perfect saint. But if I hear anyone messing with my actual family or my tumblr family, I fight to keep them happy and safe.

Here is the last comments that I found that my friend sent me.

All I can say is, to those who do know me. I'm drama free unless it's in my fiction. But this... Yeah I needed to bring it up. And know that if anyone messes with you, I got your back and will stand up to the jerks who mess with you.

i have noticed that SOMETIMES it really bothers folks to discover i am sincere and not playing a character. that tinglers are deep artistic expression. i think it because these few buckaroos are often kind and even politically left but had problematic ways just a few years back

these buckaroos are forced to confront their previous assumptions about neurodivergence and queerness, which is bound to happen as time trots on and cultural landscape evolves. but this sudden realization they have about themselves apparently MUST be ignored and pushed away

theres BIG TIME buckaroos on this very platform who publicly made fun of and gatekept my autism. these posts are STILL THERE. folks questioning my bisexuality. and these are buds who at one time worked with chuck and were pretending to ‘like me’ in way that i now see was irony

these are a previous generation of liberal ‘comedy forum’ buds who laugh and laugh at ‘ridiculous bad erotica’ and wrote as a money scheme. those who would later say with concern ‘chuck tingle is homophobic for making fun of queer erotica’. the same THEY might gleefully write

and i think their reaction is a way to deal with truth that THEY were doing these things ironically and have ABSOLUTELY NO CONCEPT that someone else couldve been creating joyful queer neurodivergent art during the same timeline with sincerity instead of irony.

so now as chuck gets taken more seriously they have to confront something. question of ‘wait, was i laughing at a real person the whole time? was i calling someone homophobic when in reality it is much more homophobic to MAKE that accusation, because queerness is not a monolith?’

old posts calling out chuck as fake, dehumanizing me, gatekeeping my place on spectrum of autism AND sexuality are still up. they wont be addressed because these folks cannot ever acknowledge they treated someones very existence as a joke. they will not admit THEY needed to grow

and honestly buckaroos, I FORGIVE THEM. nobody is dang perfect and the internet is swirling with irony poisoning. those folks on old forums were BATHING IN IT DAILY. it does not bother me because it is the past, but pondering on it during moments like this i am compelled to write

i do not bring this up to punish for past, but to hope buckaroos remember lesson in the future: you do not need to gatekeep. you do not need to make yourself the arbiter of others lifestyle and identity. you do not need to score online points as a way of proving your goodness.

proving love is complicated sometimes, and a big part or that complicated journey is accepting there are some unique buckaroos out there, buds who actually ENJOY making neurodivergent art and expressing their queerness in unique ways. who need time to learn THEMSELVES through art

it is my belief and suggestion that buds allow others this space. to accept them as they come. to TROT WITH THEM INTO THE FUTURE. thats a heck of a way to prove love is real. i think we can make this trot of sincerity together and DANG am i looking forward to it. LOVE IS REAL

One night in the lab Peter finds an old prototype of the EDITH glasses and puts them on.

"Look Mr. Stark! I am Iron Man," he says with a deep voice.

"C'mon kid, that's the best impression you got?" Tony says before looking up.

He sees Peter with those rectangular frames and big grin. For a moment he thinks he's looking at old publicity photos of himself. A confident Tony Stark, tinted glasses and cocky smile, hair fluffed up and oozing manly charm.

Tony's easy smile drops a bit at the thought of Peter being anything like who he used to be.

"Oh sorry for talking over you Ms. Potts I just like the sound of my own voice more than hearing about the safety of our company. I'm too cool to apologize so I'll buy you a zoo for endangered species later honey," Peter tries again with the mocking deep voice.

Tony is quick to recover from the odd deja-vu feeling of seeing the teenager in the frame of a mirror, focusing back on his hologram.

"Yeah because I call the love of my life by her last name. And for your information it was an alpaca sanctuary, and she loved it." Tony corrects, pointing a pen at Peter in rebuke without looking up from his work.

"I chose to be respectful over accurate. Also I saw those alpaca photos and one of them was trying to chew on her skirt, she didn't look very impressed." Peter replies with a matter of fact press of his lips.

Tony glances back at the boy only to find himself unable to look away. He can't help but hear echoes of "I just wanted to be like you!" when he sees the boy wearing frames reminiscent of Tony's classic fashion sense.

Tony thinks about Howard, how he used to run laps to prove he was good enough, better than, worthy of being his son.

He was never enough for Howard.

"You're always better at remembering that kind of stuff than me anyways kid."

Peter is taken back by the earnest tone the older man suddenly possesses. His mouth opens but no words come out in reply, Tony looking at him as if he can see right through the spiderling.

"Now stop playing with my old crap and c'mere, we have some important decisions to make," Tony waves him over to look at something on his phone.

When Peter gets close enough he sees that it's a food delivery app, Tony's fingers hovering between an Indian and Thai restaurant.

Peter shoots him another grin, "I vote for samosas!"

Tony rolls his eyes but clicks on the Indian restaurant anyways.

Peter notices in the reflection of the phone that he still has the glasses on, reaching up to remove them before Tony puts a hand on his wrist to stop him.

"Keep em on, it's the first time you've ever looked cool enough to hang out with me. The tech in those is useless anyways, they're just a pair of sunglasses now."

Peter looks up at his mentor with such awe and admiration that Tony nearly melts like butter under the sun.

Tony may not do many things right when it comes to people, but he knows that even when he was still young and naive he'd known better than to ever look at Howard like that.

So maybe there's one thing he hasn't screwed up.
