the fact that most of the fandom hated on “hey kids! spelling is fun!!” in ME!, so she took it out of the song. then people continued to make fun of the song so much that it’s not even apart of the eras tour setlist. when it was the first single of lover!! and now it maybe won’t even be a surprise song. but i’m just thinking about the video where taylor was making the song and how much fun she had and saying how much she loves the song. and how it sends a good message not only to us but to kids. and then swifties start making fun of it and now it’s not like it even exists anymore? i understand some of why people don’t like it because of brendon urie, but it went too far imo. it’s such a fun song and it’s kind of like shake it off and it breaks my heart that it went as far as to make taylor never perform or talk abt it.

Earlier today I was thinking about the way that hobbits treat Frodo post-Quest.

The books say that few hobbits know or care to know about Frodo’s adventure, and that is heartbreaking by itself. He suffers all that torment and sacrifices everything out of love for his people, and they react with indifference. And it wouldn’t surprise me if some hobbits treated him with open disdain.

In the first chapter of LOTR, before Frodo himself enters the story, we see hobbits gossiping about Frodo and about his parents’ death. His parents died more than twenty years earlier, but the townsfolk can’t resist speculation that their deaths started with one parent pushing the other into the river. If they use such a tragic event as an opportunity to gossip and cast judgment, then they probably do the same with Frodo’s journey.

I can imagine hobbits staring pointedly at Frodo’s four-fingered hand, gossiping and making false assumptions about what misadventures he faced during his adventure, gossiping about his mysterious illnesses, maybe even whispering about him when he’s in sight and possibly within earshot.

Frodo wasn’t exactly a welcome member of hobbit society before the Quest, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if that gets worse when he comes back so visibly changed.

The way Billy acts in the Holloway house mirrors how he acted when he was around Karen in that same season.

We don't ever see teen Billy's real smile, except for when he's on the court.

This smile is relaxed and carefree.

For example, his smiles here are all fake. Forced. There's an overly polite expression he wears, and it's shown in how he talks, too.

In both cases:

his facial expressions are controlled, except they're caused by different things.

he's been put in a position where he has his autonomy stripped from him.

his eyes look like they're screaming for help.

His job and car are two things that grant him what he cannot get at his house (which would be some freedom and control of his environment/himself). Karen takes that away from him, and so does the Mind Flayer. She shows up at his work with her friends and preys on him. He drives to meet her and gets caught in another predator's web.

And after, when he's driving his car, he's no longer behind the wheel. It's his car, and he has to sit there while he's being taken control of.

Rant about Genshin Impact upcoming! Specifically, Diluc! Spoilers for Diluc lore if you dk!

So here’s the deal. I love Diluc. He’s been my main for a little over a year now. I’ve spent all of my resources into building him and making good support for him. Of course, my builds are all trash because Genshin was my first experience with a game other than the sims or minecraft, but still. I have a special place in my heart for him. But the more I learn about his character… ouch. The ragbro angst can easily make me cry, but Diluc was so cruel to Kaeya. His response to the situation was extreme to say the absolute least. I understand that he was hurt, and Kaeya was a liar, but the whole thing is still just way too much. Especially considering Diluc’s killing spree afterwards. This reveals a few things about him. Firstly, consider the type of relationship he must have had with his father for the grief to strike him this hard. And his relationship with Kaeya. 

Considering the personalities of other pyro characters, I would say that Diluc has, for lack of a better term, big emotions. He feels things deeply. Consider Yoimiya, Lyney, Bennett… all of these characters (with pyro visions) have similar dispositions. Think of Yoimiya’s sense of responsibility for her family… Lyney and Bennett feel the same sort of attachment. It’s interesting to think about. Pyro characters all seem to hold relationships very dear, whereas cryo characters seem to work alone (Shenhe, Kaeya, Eula, Wriothesley, Diona). This might provide some insight about Diluc’s values and his hurt. He seems to hold family to a high standard… or at least, he did. Consider how much it must grieve someone to lose their family if they feel this way, this intensely. I forgot what my original point was… maybe I didn’t have one. I guess I’m saying that Diluc’s character is more than a grump who doesn’t like anyone.

I rewatched GO2 again because apparently I hate myself but I can’t stop thinking about how Crowley must have felt so alone when he was cast down to hell, only to find he didn’t fit in there either and then he and Aziraphel got to know each other and he finally found someone he could relate to. He watched as Aziraphel figured out that he also didn’t belong on either side and they formed such a close bond, both feeling like outsiders. Finally having someone that truly understood them.

When Crowley finally confesses his feelings and Aziraphel rejects him, not only is he losing the person he loves but he’s also losing the only other person that truly understands him. And that will just make him question everything. How much of it was real? At the end of the day Aziraphel wanted Crowley to change who he is and could someone who asks that of him, truly understand him?

It’s not only heartbreak but an overwhelming loneliness that he’ll have to battle. And that’s what really upsets me the most. He’s been an outsider for thousands of years and now he’s truly so alone.

anyways how scary do you think it wouldve been for link’s father to realize his child was probably the hero of legend. i know a lot of people to think he wouldve been so proud etc and YEAH i get it however. thats so dangerous. that is SO dangerous. and i thiiink in the botw/totk timeline at least (??? maybe) the hero hasnt technically failed yet (at least until the calamity but i hesitate to class that as failure where evil won fully) but even then wouldnt he just constantly be thinking about that teensy little chance that what if he DID fail?? what if his kid had all that devastating pressure on his back to save their entire kingdom and he just ended up falling to the forces that came for everyone. i dont think he was alive by the time link fully became zelda’s knight but i know she said he was following in his father’s footsteps, meaning his dad was also a knight, but i cant imagine him ever wanting his kid to do the same as him? and im fairly certain he’s been dead by the time of the calamity but. head in hands. what if he wasnt. what if he saw all the destruction and horror the calamity brought and was just painfully aware of how his son failed and how his son was (to his knowledge) dead. and then he probably died soon after, but just. lord. yknow

Ok this is the very last thing I’m gonna say about the issue, just because I’m still bothered and need to get it out.

I didn’t just create Kanna for the sake of pairing her up romantically (for those of you who do though that’s great!! That’s cute!! Love is amazing and your little buddies deserve it 💕). I created her because I wanted to have a character that has traits that I personally could look up to and want to be more like. That’s the way it is for both of my OCs, but especially in Kanna’s case in the realm of Naruto where most of the canon female characters aren’t exactly the most well-written. Can we please not shame people for having fun and doing things for themselves. Thank you. 😊💕

On a happier note, the Kanna hair poll should be finishing up soon so I’ll post her Shippuden/ Part 2 design tomorrow :) thanks for the sweet words and encouragement everyone has shared with me.💕

I fucking despise when people who have me blocked spread misinfo about me. Could you like. Maybe not? It comes back to me incredibly easy, and always fucking destroys me, especially as the most common misinfo is that I’m predominately endo neutral, anti endo, or a sysmed.

I’m unaligned and have been open about being “functionally pro endo.” I just don’t use the label because even thinking about doing so makes my heart race. I don’t think the labels are worth using anymore, and if I didn’t feel obligated to keep it (and didn’t enjoy having a community around a term I popularized), I’d drop unaligned too.

I’m really curious what “anti endo beliefs” I hold that condemn me to being called a sysmed so often.
