this isnt as long as before but i just cannot stop thinking about this, why i dislike story and lore boils down to these main point
--the ending feels unsatisfying as hell even if i ignore everything i dont like about how the game treated zelda and ganondorf, the ending itself just feels, despite being presented as super epic an touching, incredibly empty to me and part of it is that it feels like an unearned return to status quo of course i didnt think zelda would stay a dragon and i actually wanted to help her, which is why i kept trying to hunt down impa since she said shes gonna search for a way for us to help zelda, bc i wanted to!! i was eager to help her!
i fully hoped and kinda expected that thered either be some kind of dragon dungeon (think, the water dragon from okami) tho that would be difficult since you can get items from her so i ended up thinking before going into the end thered be a mission with impa (or at least given to you from her) where she found answers in ancient scripts (that she told you she would look through) and that you need to find a special lil thing that will help zelda undragonfy, like some sort of ultra secret forbidden enigma stone able to reverse dragon transformations kinda deal (golden opportunity to make you go and talk to the yiga bc they might know or even own some ancient texts) that youd keep in your inventory until the very end and after you kill dragondorf (pretty mortal for becoming an immortal dragon huh) you take it out and use it, undragonfying zelda and ending in a similar epic falling and paralel to the beginning way
... and instead impa stays in the house and only has a few repeating dialog boxes and does nothing and you cant do anything bc in the end you just get randomly teleported (and stripped of your clothing AGAIN) into some weird ethereal plane somehow?? with the ghost of long ass dead sonia and apparently not as gone as i thought rauru (seriously i felt sad when he went poof at the end of the tutorial but i guess i shouldnt have) awkwardly blasting dragon zelda with some magic tm and its all reversed no problem (heck me for caring i guess) turns out helping her was killing an evil guy we never really knew and mineru just kinda says lol its bc time and light magic i guess lol as an explanation
like i really wanted to go and help zelda! i was motivated to do it and spent HOURS trying to find impa again but i wasnt allowed to do anything bc zelda gets saved by some deus ex machina bs in the end anyway, what a fool i was, of course killing the evil guy is the solution to everything >:( (and no i dont care if its meant as in uwu sonia and rauru wanted to help one last time uwu bc it doesnt change how unsatisfying it was to watch it all just kinda happen)
--point two is just how much totk feels like its trying to REPLACE botw instead of being a sequel, its not building on anything of it its ripping out the fundation and building its own thing in its place, like i was so excited to see what happened to the titans, and all the sheikah tech what they mabe had done in all that time now that theres a tech enthusiastic girl as the head of the monarchy, maybe even find out more about them and instead its just all ... gone with not explanation? theres isnt even a LAME explanation, its just gone?? you never find out what the ancient energy actually was, and why there were concentrations of it in the regions with the ancient furnace (well heck it didnt even have anything to do with ganondorf actualyl bc that would have been too interesting) bc that was so intrigueing?? like yeah where DID it come from and why is it there ?? and oh suddendly hey look theres an even MORE ancient and even MORE advanced civilization thats way COOLER and BETTER than the ancient sheikah now, they also built stuff everywhere and have been here ALL ALONG cant you see its everywhere!! and its the only thing everyone cares about all of the sudden, all evdidence of the ancient sheikah tech was scraped of the earth so there literally only being some guardian parts on top of the hateno lab feels like an oversight now bc everything lese was to thourohgly wiped of the map- for no reason even?? like im totalls fine with it being useless and not working anymore but .... why remove it like it was wiped from history?? and then they have the gall to mention the happenings of botw like, twice in the entire game but still just give you the most basic summary of it mentioned on a sidenote with again not even a hint what happened to all of it
wouldnt there have been the golden opportunity to use it to access the new parts and map points that changed?? like a shrine thats fallen into the underground, an access to caves and the underground in the broken and collapsed elevator tube of a sheikah srhine?? maybe even a broken interior of an old shrine, like the room you get put into with the puzzle and where the monk once were broken and half overgrown in the udnerground? some left over construction site where you can see oh thats how the ancient sheikah got all that tech underground, bc they all had access to it and built it there to then rise up when its needed? maybe even making use of the old sonau sites since they frequnetly built their srhines within those ruins?? that the ancient sheikah found em and put the ruins to use? to research it and built their own stuff from it? it wouldnt have to have any focus, literally just part of the enviroment even
really everything totk does is like -forget botw ever happend, look how much cooler and better i am, who cares about sheikah stuff sonau are the new cool guys that came out of nowhere but now apparently have been everywhere all along actually-
i LOVE botw and with it feeling much more like its attempting to replace botw instead of building its story and world further every reference to botw i found felt like a slap in the face instead, oh look where the shrine of life used to be isnt even a hint left of sheikah tech somehow, and also right under it is the lake of healing filled with sonau structure bc ACTUALLY they were here FIRST bc they are so cool omg you guys
dare i say it feel a little like they wanted to make an entirely different version of botw basically, but wanted to reuse the map and models so they just said yeah uhhhh its totally a sequel yeah yeha that makes sense, its not erasing botw and doing essentiall the same thing again but bigger cooler and better (tm) its just uuh a ...sequel ye.

How would you rank the gens?
Ope I feel like I'm gonna upset some people LOL so disclaimer remember these are just my takes.
But this is how I personally see them (counting remakes as being part of the gen they remaking):
Gen 9 - Paldea Region
Tumblr media
I've been thinking about this since the games came out, so I'd like to say recency bias isn't as much of a factor here. Bugs aside, I genuinely, genuinely love the storytelling, characterizations, and open world approach. FRIENDS THAT FEEL LIKE ACTUAL FRIENDS?? HAVING THE LEGENDARY WITH YOU THE WHOLE TIME, AND IT TOO HAS A PERSONALITY & BACKSTORY??? THREE SEPERATE STORYLINES THAT CONNECT TO A CANONICALLY DEAD PROFESSOR AND AN "EVIL AI" FINAL BOSS??? Like omg. I was amazed. I honestly usually dislike the "gimmicks" each generation brings, but terastilization caught my interest and I have a strong feeling nothing will personally top it as a gimmick for me. The DLCs really sent it all home for me for the #1 spot, like oh my god LOL. Past DLCs always just felt like something extra, but I literally cannot see this game as being complete without Kieran, Carmine & the rest of Kitakami/Blueberry peeps & their storylines. My interest in the games only grew because of all of it - and that's a massive compliment given the fact of how hard it is to accomplish such a level of monumental significance with only a few hours of gameplay. I've yet to replay the game with earlier access to The Teal Mask, but I feel like this would make it even more immersive. Just pure chef kisses here.
Gen 2 - Johto Region
Tumblr media
A very close second. Heartgold/Soulsilver is the most elite remake in existence and idc if it's old school, I'll die on this hill. Johto is just so full of life - the continuation story is amazing, the immersion into culture and legendary stuff??? Mwah. Silver is an excellent rival, RED being a thing (the ultimate level of iconicism), and the double region will always hit. The soundtracks HIT and my god hearing them remastered iS INCREDIBLE. I even get obsessed with the pokeathlon dome and I'm usually not someone who gets into that kind of stuff. But THEY MADE IT FUN. And I love all the cute activities you can do with your team that can follow you around. So glad they brought this feature back. :')
Gen 5 - Unova Region
Tumblr media
Oooooh I loved the reset of Gen 5. It's based on where I'm from and there were so many refreshing aspects of Black & White. From the new pokemon, to the NYC culture, to N & the whole beautiful storytelling there, and a sequel that somehow made everything even MORE polished. I literally remember referring to this region as the "Isshu Region" before the English names dropped becuase of the hype LOL. 10/10, cannot wait for these remakes. Gamefreak don't mess this up.
Gen 4 - Sinnoh Region
Tumblr media
Oh, Gen 4. You hit good. The lowkey dreary vibes of Sinnoh is very nostalgic to me, and Piplup is one of my best buddies. Cynthia being the very first female Champion, and being as fearsome as she is, was such a big deal to me. Definetely Barbie'd her a bit in my mind because I look a like her and loved how much of an academic she was (but I def do not have her length in hair, lmao). Soundtracks are fire, of course. The way legendaries were integrated in the story without going too Dragonball Z was IMMACULATE, and the lake trio will always be my fave lil buddies. The only con I'd give this gen is that I disliked the HM reliance & D/P are practically unplayable to me since Platinum exists. I had low bars for the remake once I heard it wasn't Platinum, and ugh, they really dropped the ball. HOWEVER: while it isn't main line, I fucking love Legends: Arceus and would rather have that over an excellent remake, tbh.
Gen 1 - Kanto Region
Tumblr media
This is another nostalgia one for me because of the fact that I quite literally was introduced to pokemon since before I can recall most memories (this is what happens when you have an older sibling with a gameboy, lol). It's probably tied with Gen 4, tbh. Firered wasn't my first game, but it hit really good because I "played" so much of R/B/Y. I know Gen 1 has its faults, and it's often seen as being pretty bare bones in comparison to other generations. And while I completely agree, god damn, what a good foundation for a franchise. Every town had a personality to it and is very memorable to me. The soundtracks are FIRE. Smaller pokedex, but damn does team building hit (and the starters are elite). Blue was also consistently my favorite rival until Kieran, lol. #oldrivalshipping/conflictingshipping was the original OTP xD
Gen 7 - Alola Region
Tumblr media
So there's a lot of things I liked about Gen 7. It took a really big risk by breaking the formula, and it really immersed me into the Hawaiian culture & seeing your pokemon more as friends. I loved looking at pokemon in a different way and some of the pokemon introduced in this region are among my favorites (e.g. Ribombee, Bewear, Shiinotic, Mimikyu, Rockaruff, to name a few; starters also HIT). NEBBY AND LILLIE ARE ELITE. The professor is so lit, and Team Skull is the funniest team organization alive. AND YES, GET RID OF THE HMS. I honestly think a remake would make this gen jump up a bit more for me - the 3DS could barely handle this game, and it was showing. The facial expressions also need some work LOL, and I honestly dread the tutorial of the game. I like the ultrabeasts conceptually, but the execution of their involvement in the game is very DragonBall Z-ified. Ultra Necrozma lowkey would've been an amazing time for a "light" type even if it didn't make much sense, but hey, it was an awesome nuzlocke-killing moment anyway. xD
Gen 8 - Galar Region
Tumblr media
I actually have a lot of play time for this gen. I was very obsessed with it when it came out, and could probably get glued to it all the same nowadays. But in hindsight, I realize a lot of my attachment to it was because of the semi-open worldness & ability to create a lot of different kinds of teams with a lot of new and old pokemon I like (I also liked having access to things earlier, like Ice Types before the end of the game lmfao). I still have a few things I really enjoy outside of it, though, like Hop's storyline & the setup of the gyms being in this stadium, sports-esque setting. But the plot? Eh. I have a lot of constructive criticism on how some shortcuts were made, and especially with the whole darkest day stuff lol. The only thing I liked about that fight was the dogs coming in and being cool; I wasn't impressed by or interest in Eternatus at all. The Leon fight afterward was fun, though! But oof, those weird men with the sword and shield hair afterwards were also just...no. :D DLCs also didn't quite hit that hard - it was more about having more pokemon than anything for me. So overall, it's fun to play, but I'd definitely change up the plot to make it better.
Gen 3 - Hoenn Region
Tumblr media
This is where I think some people might wanna fight me, and to that I say you're probably valid. I don't know what it is with the Hoenn region because I actually don't have too many critiques about it (e.g., let's have less water routes); I just have never been able to get into it quite the same as I can others. I should honestly give it another shot, but I think I'd wanna do Emerald over Omega Ruby/Sapphire given the route they took everything with the remake lol. That's about all I have to say on this one since I never really connected with it as much!
Gen 6 - Kalos Region
Tumblr media
This one feels like an especially hot take to have atm given where the pokemon community is in general LOL. Critical opinions ahead......Listen...no offense, but Gen 6 just ain't it for me at all. xD It's probably the one gen I actively dislike. The games felt way too easy with too much hand-holding/handouts, Team Flare & Diantha were a joke (and I'm not even a competitive player), and the whole group of friends felt more like an annoyance to me more than anything. They just weren't flushed out right. Neither was the plot. Like what was that plot. Outside of that, a lot of things just felt like "Look! Pokemon is in 3D now!!" over and over again because of how rushed the game was. So other than introducing fairy types & having pretty protagonists with some new clothing options, this gen is pretty forgettable to me. And that's a shame, because I like pokemon! I was one of those people who were curious on if we were gonna connect to Kalos for Gen 9, but I'd geniunely pick the DLCs we got any day of the week. I don't think Legends ZA will change much of my opinion on the mainline game, but given how much I loved Legends Arceus, I'm hoping it can be used to retcon & generate more interest/connection to the Kalos region in general.
Again, these are all just my personal opinions. I hope you all can enjoy pokemon in any way that feels good for you :) <3

i'm suffering under the curse rn BUT. i am 3 episodes in to The Magnus Protocol and so far my thoughts are that it seems pretty good! on the one hand i should probably do my best to separate tmagp from tma but at the same time, i mean, the only reason i'm listening to tmagp is bc of prior attachment to tma, so it's interesting to me to contrast and compare them (though in all fairness it's been a while since i listened to tma).
the new cases are definitely cool so far in terms of allowing for more formats, i wonder if we're gonna get any future explanation for their eloquent presentation like we did in tma since idk if there's any hints so far at what the whole worldbuilding deal is with that so far in tmagp.
i will say that- do to the different formatting and immediate bigger cast who gets more focus and whatnot- tmagp feels more 'TV' in a certain way. which isn't a pejorative statement and i actually really dislike it when ppl assume something being 'TV' means it's low quality or shallow, lol. tmagp is a good example of something feeling 'TV' but it's a notable difference and is casting my mind back to the discourse/discussion about a tma tv adaptation and what that would look like back when archive 81 got one. i imagine it'd feel a lot more tmagp inspired.
cast is cool so far! i admire alice's actress for being able to pull of the extremely tumblrific dialogue (which i know is on purpose but was also VERY off-putting to me at first- it's the kind of thing that i love when written but spoken aloud in a fictional setting sometimes raises my hairs for some reason). i already love gwen, she's defs gonna be the toxic woman i get attached to and then regret it (assuming i listen to more episodes which i hope i do? i'm not great at it but i do like finishing things, my brain is just pulled into all directions rn if that wasn't already apparent). Colin you're great, i can't wait to watch you break down. Sam you're great too in a way that your personality rn makes me very excited for your potential future corruption arc (obligatory reminder i'm only 3 eps in and just making educated guesses based on what jonny and co did for tma, though i do acknowledge that there's a lot more fingers in the proverbial protocol pie rn)
in general i'm curious about the direction of the show, namely how they're gonna make it tragic in a way that's different to tma? bc i always maintain that the beauty of tma is the slowburn, and how everything happens so slowly that by the time you realise what path we're on, it's too late to stop any of it, and the more you learn about these people and this world, the more you realise it was always going to end like this, even if it didn't have to.
it's a tough feat to pull off and the inherently different structure of tmagp makes me wonder if they're gonna have to pivot what kind of tragedy this is. it's probably apparent right now to anyone who's properly caught up but as for me? i'm curious and cautiously interested. idk if i'm ever really gonna get involved with the fandom like i did with tma (bc that was a mostly great but also wild and formative experience for me and in general i'm bad at being multifandom no matter how much i wish i could be bc it would make my life sooo much easier. but unfortunately the shape of my autism (title of my new movie and/or hit single /j) does not allow for it with any ease. only struggle)
anyway i have an essay on political cinema to write so i really need to close this window lmao. will perhaps consider some kind of liveblog or sequel post to this as my listening progresses

I do understand people are allowed be upset with DD2 but it gets really frustrating when people point to things that aren’t even true about the game. It’s one thing when a game is designed maliciously to use and abuse players like a gacha game, games that rely on fomo, or are pay to make a game playable. But DD2 is not. It was always made to have certain design choices. Which people can dislike but also existed in DD1 at launch. The micro transactions don’t ’improve’ the experience. The micro transactions are NOT about grinding. The intended experience of the game is it without micro transactions and the game is NOT interested in making you buy them.
I wasn't going to answer this because things are already starting to settle with the amount of articles coming out clarifying the situation (that all the things are easily obtained in game nor is the game designed to be harder to make the mtx more desirable - it's not that's just how DD is)
Ultimately how I feel is:
-It's a single player game. The only person being 'cheated' by buying those items is the person that bought it. If other people want to buy it, it did not effect you. It's not like buying better weapons or power-ups in a competitive game, where $$$ gives you an advantage over other players. It's just you in your box, and them in their box. It's also not gacha mechanics - you're getting exactly what you pay for. I got every single unique blade in XC2 without buying a single core crystal pack. I've been in those mines before.
-I don't necessarily object to ease-of-play microtransactions in single-player-games. It's for the lazy or the busy. It's not some penalty on 'the poor', because the game isn't designed to push you toward buying them. If some guy out there can only play a few hours of video games a week because they're a parent or work so much and wants to fork over a whopping two or three whole dollars to maximize their play time then whatever. That doesn't affect me.
-I think a lot of the loudest voices are people that didn't actually play DD1. The complaints I'm hearing with regards to "locking fast travel behind pay wall" tells me what I need to know about that, lol. Or, they don't actually like "obtuse fantasy roleplaying games with a purposeful lack of modern 'qol' features as a conscious design choice" as they say or think they do. Not to mention DD1 launched with dlc/mtx ON THE DISK. Now that was heinous! I do think it's funny the sequel is launching with near the exact same reception as the first though, lol.
Things that people SHOULD be focusing on as real actual issues with the game:
-The poor optimization. It's dogshit on PCs. Inexcusable. The main reason I haven't bought the game yet and why I probably won't for a few months.
-The design choice to not let you easily restart. This is a complicated issue, because it's clear at this point this was a purposeful design choice and I get why: DD is all about making you live with your decisions and failures. It's VERY anti save-scumming, and now it's 'evolved' to "play the game straight through." A lot of people don't like this, and I totally understand, but consider there is another matter with this though that i don't think people are considering is the pawn system. Such a core system of the game relies on the exchange of player-tied companions that grow in power based on how many people they're passed around to and their owners. It's an amazing system that's universally beloved... but as for what exactly happens when the owner of a pawn is deleted or a pawn that's with someone that deletes? 😬 Do they keep all their progress? Items? Does it go away? Capcom has already said they're working on adding an easy way to Restart, but I believe it was in the works already for the future. They probably wanted to limit the amount of restarts in these crucial early days so that a big library of pawns can healthily develop. Not an issue further into the game's lifecycle.

~ Seven months together ~
It's been a few weeks since you heard Jungkook, Jimin, and Taehyung's conversation. There was never a good time to bring it up - when would there ever be a good time? It wasn't something you could casually bring up, but you knew something had to be said. The words from his friends echoed in your head every time the two of you were together. It was difficult to keep your emotions hidden from Jungkook, and he could always tell when you were in your head.
Jungkook had arranged a date for the two of you. He said he missed you and hadn't seen you in weeks due to his busy schedule at work. He didn't want to ruin the surprise he had planned for you, despite the fact that you'd told him numerous times how much you disliked surprises.
"Give me one tiny hint, boyfriend. Please and thank you." You tried to entice him with a quick peck on the cheek. You couldn't figure out why he was being so mysterious about this date. You figured it was one way for him to maintain the spark, but when could the chemistry between the two of you ever fade? He had a way of making you weak in the knees.
He shook his head and grinned. "Nice try, but my lips are sealed," he continued, scrolling through his work emails.
You stood behind him, pressing your breasts against his back and wrapping your arms around him, squeezing him, doing everything you could to get him to give in.
"Not even your tits will be able to get this secret out of my mouth," he chuckled. He didn't mind it one bit though. He enjoyed your neediness and desperation.
"Rather have your mouth on them," you countered.
"Now that's something I can do." He grinned cheekily, turning to kiss you, and you kissed him without hesitation.
Tumblr media
stargazing
"I think you have a blindfold kink or something." You giggled, trying to keep your balance as he held your hand and led you into the unknown.
"Yeah, I still wanna try that in the bedroom," he chuckled.
Jungkook couldn't tell, but you were rolling your eyes at him. You couldn't believe it was the second time he'd blindfolded you during your relationship. Part of you enjoyed it, but you wished he would just tell you what he was up to. But you'd think it'd take the fun out of it.
"We're almost there." As he leaned down to kiss the shell of your ear and undo the blindfold, he said quietly.
"Kook--this is--absolutely amazing," you exclaimed, a huge grin on your face as you revered the set-up he had prepared. The ground was covered in blankets and pillows. He even brought a picnic basket full of snacks and beverages.
"Well, since you couldn't stop talking about wanting to see this meteor shower, I made a point of finding out when it was going to happen."
"Ah, so you do listen to what I say."
His gaze shifted quickly in your direction. He was annoyed by your remark. "I listen and remember everything you say."
"Oh really? I'm going to put that theory to the test." Hmph. It's time to disprove him. He cannot excel at everything. Nobody could possibly be this perfect. It's physically impossible.
"Go for it. I like a good challenge."
You paused to think of a question. "Favorite movie."
"10 Things I Hate About You."
"Favorite book."
"Trick question: none because you hate reading and would rather watch a show or film. Next," he said with a displeased tone since you were trying your best to deceive him.
"Dream job."
"Technically, you already have your dream job, but you'd probably want to get paid for doing nothing."
Goddamnit Jeon. How did he know so much about you? He probably sneaked into your nightstand and looked through your journal. There's no way he could know this much about you.
"If I could be anywhere, where would I be?'
He scoffed. "Anywhere I am, duh."
"Ddaeng! I'd be on a nice sunny beach with you."
Jungkook clicked his tongue. "Same thing."
"Nuh-uh!" you said, propping yourself on your elbows, glaring at him.
He smiled and mirrored your position. "I love you, you crazy woman."
Rolling your eyes, you leaned over and placed a peck on his lips. "And this crazy woman loves you too."
As you lay next to him, a gust of wind blew through, making you shiver. He noticed your trembling and extended his arm, bringing you closer. You couldn't figure out how he stayed so warm on this chilly spring night. He drew you into his arms and embraced you. He closed his eyes, breathing in the fresh air and smelling your perfume.
He let out a sigh. "This is absolutely stunning. It's fun to do things like this with you "he said, pulling you into him and kissing the top of your head. "Stargazing and meteor showers. I'll have to add it to our list of things to do."
"Yeah? I like this too." You smiled before kissing him on the chest. "Do you ever look up at the billions of stars and realize how insignificant you are in comparison?" Your question was completely meaningless. You just had a random thought. "It's as if the galaxy is enormous, and we're just lying here on top of a floating rock."
"Did you take a gummy without me?" he joked.
You slapped his chest. "Shut up. I told you that I'm never taking one again."
"Oh, come on. It was so much fun. God, you were so sexy that night. I'm getting all hard thinking about it."
"Pretty sure I was only sexy because of the gummy we took."
"You're always sexy. Gummy or no gummy."
"Uh-huh."
"We should do that again. The cabin, I mean, and maybe without our friends." He squeezed you again, pressing his lips into your hair.
You smiled nervously and peered up at him, softly muttering his name. Now was as good a time as any to finally get the conversation you heard off your chest.
He hummed in response.
Nobody enjoys these types of conversations, but they ate away at you. The more you cling to Jimin and Taehyung's words, the louder they become in your head. You could see where his friends were coming from because your relationship began quickly and unconventionally. And you were thinking about how you thought Jungkook was way out of your league, and how he may have started dating you because you were conveniently close by. You paused for a moment before conjuring the courage to spit it out.
"Am I holding you back?"
Jungkook's head shot up, his gaze fixed on you. "What? Why would you think that?"
You didn't dare look at him but continued looking up at the billions of stars above you instead. "I--I just hope that you being with me is everything that you want."
He couldn't believe what he was hearing from you. You were, of course, everything he desired. Why were you even contemplating such things?
"Baby..." He propped himself on his elbows and looked down at you. You were still avoiding his gaze, so he lifted your chin towards him, those big brown eyes staring deeply into your soul. "You are everything I could ever want and more."
What he said pierced your heart, leaving you with a sharp pain in your chest. He was still so young, with a whole world ahead of him. Didn't he want that? To find out what he's missing. After hearing what Jimin and Taehyung said, you felt like you were robbing him of many things. You didn't think you were anything special or important, so you weren't sure how you could be everything he'd ever wanted.
"Why are you asking that? What's going on? Did someone say something to you?" he asked with a concerned look on his face.
Should you admit that you overheard their conversation a few weeks ago, or should you lie and say it was something you'd been thinking about? You sat up, and he did as well, debating what you should tell him. You didn't want to be a jerk and get his friends in trouble, which was not your intention, but you also didn't want to lie to your boyfriend. He was entitled to more.
"I guess I'm afraid I won't live up to your expectations of what you want in a partner. Don't you want to know what's out there? What if you're missing out on something?"
When Jungkook heard you speak, a lightbulb went off in his head. "Did you hear my conversation with Jimin and Taehyung?""
You bit your bottom lip, not wanting to tell him that he was correct. So instead, your silence answered his question.
He took your hand in his own. "Don't pay attention to them. They have no idea what they're talking about, okay?" He kissed your cheek to reassure you. "I love you and want to be with you."
You gave him a half-smile, a part of you still bewildered by his words. To be honest, you may have needed to convince yourself that you are worthy of him.
"And what could possibly be out there that I'm missing out on?"
"I don't know--someone who's smarter, funnier, prettier, someone with bigger boobs and ass." You shrugged.
Jungkook let out a hearty laugh. "You are smart...funny...pretty..." He said in between pecks on your lips. "Gorgeous, so fucking sexy...and your boobs and ass are perfect in my hands." He continued with a final kiss, lingering longer than usual. "I don't want anyone else but you." He inched closer and hovered over you. His eyes darted back and forth between yours, and he leaned down again, pressing his soft lips against yours.
You inhaled his fresh scent, which you'd grown accustomed to. It felt secure. It felt familiar. You tried to pull away from him, but he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you back to him. You pressed your hands against his chest, preventing him from kissing you again. "I'm sorry," you mumbled.
"Sorry for what?"
"I don't know, for being pathetic."
Seven months together with him and your insecurities continued to gnaw at your insides. Seen as you were a grown-ass woman in her thirties, you hated that your 24, almost 25-year-old boyfriend needed to reassure you of yourself and his love for you. Maybe you could put the blame on U-jin or possibly your mother for instilling this insecurity of not being enough.
He smiled and rolled you on top of him. "You're not pathetic. I'll tell you that I love and need you as much as you want. I can do that forever."
"Forever, huh? Mmhm. I can tell how much you want me right now." His hard-on sorely poking against you.
"Yeah..." He gave a nod. "We're pretty sure we'll miss this meteor shower. I'm sorry, baby. We'll see how it goes the next time "He smiled as his hand moved up to the nape of your neck, luring you down to him for a kiss.
You pushed yourself away from him, mumbling and laughing. "We're not going to miss this. I've been waiting for this for months."
"Just a couple of kisses..." He begged. His nose is now nuzzling against yours, lips barely touching.
It was easy to become tangled up in his arms...
Easy to become lost in the moment...
Easy to lose all sense of reasoning when you are with him.

daydreams
Most of your childhood consisted of daydreams, whether it was being whisked off by a handsome prince or dreaming about getting away from your mother, anything was better than facing reality. After the loss of your father, life was easier that way - not having to revel in the festivities of life. The aching pain of knowing your number one supporter wasn't there to cheer you on.
Your mother distanced herself even further from you afterward and you never understood why, but you'd soon find out. She wouldn't receive a mother-of-the-year award, certainly not from you. So instead, you found solace with Yuna and sometimes young Jungkook. Their parents worked tirelessly, so the three of you often relied on each other.
Yuna became your cheerleader, your hype woman, especially when you first began writing. Becoming a writer wasn't an easy feat. There were plenty of times when you wanted to quit and never write again. It was appropriate to have these sorts of thoughts when push came to shove when things weren't going your way. But then again, when does anything ever go your way? More times than you can count, many things were placed onto your lap, and you had to deal with it. That's just how life goes, right?
But it finally happened. Everything you've worked your ass off for. Your dream. Your goal. The reason why you wanted to become a writer in the first place. You listened to the voicemail left by Jae to assure yourself you weren't making things up in your head, and that you heard him correctly. Your script received the green light to be a show, and you would be the head writer on the project. It would be your first time leading a project that was your own, your baby.
The first person you would have called would have been Jungkook, but Yuna was the person you needed to tell. She's been through the thick and thin of your writing journey, and you knew she would be the most ecstatic.
"Yuna!"
Hey...what's up?
"Did...did I wake you?"
Sorry, I just took a little nap. I wasn't feeling great, but I'm okay now.
"Oh no, can I get you anything?"
Oh, it's okay. I can always make Namjoon go and grab something if I need it, but what's going on?
"I did it, Yuna..."
You did it? Did what?... Wait, are you saying what I think you're saying?
"Mmhm!"
The two of you screamed, and you could hear Namjoon in the background asking if everything was okay.
She did it!
"Did what?" Namjoon asked.
Ugh, I'll explain later! I love you, but I gotta go. Get dressed, babe. We're going out to celebrate!
Tumblr media
Going out with Yuna felt like old times, when the two of you were against the world. You hadn't felt this way in a long time. When Yuna got married, you knew that the dynamics of your relationship would change. Hell, even when you started dating Jungkook, it wouldn't be the same. But just for this moment, hanging out with your best friend, just the two of you--you wouldn't trade it for the world.
The middle of a spring day brought some warmth during your celebratory lunch. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom - it was a beautiful sight in Seoul. Yuna showed up still not feeling the best, but she wanted to celebrate with you no matter what. Everything you've been working towards finally paid off.
She ordered a glass of lunchtime champagne, claiming that it was needed to celebrate. Though when she poured yours and herself a glass, she opted out of drinking it - claiming she was still feeling under the weather and didn't want to risk getting even sicker. You shrugged it off as nothing. You'd be more than happy to drink her share.
You looked across the table, finding yourself admiring how beautiful Yuna looked today. She was always beautiful, but this was different - she was glowing. "I know we're celebrating me, but what the fuck, Yuna? You're glowing. Are you using a new moisturizer or something?"
Yuna laughed at your comment. "Me? Glowing? Must be my new highlighter."
"And I'm sorry, but can we talk about your tits? They're huge." She had a decent-sized chest, but again, today, they looked ginormous.
She snorted and cupped her breasts. "These itty bitty things? I may be trying out a new bra."
You laughed. "I bet Namjoon loves it."
"He does."
At times, the world seemed a lot easier when it was the two of you. You wondered what life would be like if Yuna never married Namjoon and you weren't with Jungkook. Would you be where you are today?
"Bestie..." Yuna called out to you. "Are you daydreaming again?"
"I'm always daydreaming. You know that," you said, giving her a close-lipped smile.
"So...How are you doing? How are you feeling about everything?"
How was one supposed to feel when their dreams came true? Ecstatic? Anxious? Worried? Because you were feeling all of those things. Just because your script got the green light, didn't mean it wouldn't be a difficult journey. Hell, network execs could still scrap it too. Many things could still go wrong. "I'm mostly excited but also nervous."
"Makes sense." Yuna nodded and took a sip of her water. "Nonetheless, I'm so proud of you and if you ever need anything, you know that you can always call and talk to me. I know you've been busy with Jungkook but know that you were mine first." She said jokingly.
You laughed. "Don't tell Jungkook that. He might fight you. He gets very jealous."
"Speaking of Jungkook...how are you guys doing?" She knew the internal struggle you had with being with someone younger. Although, now that the two of you had been together for a while, she hoped you'd become more comfortable and confident in your relationship. At first, she was uncertain of the whole situation, but then she grew to love seeing you and Jungkook happy. It was probably one of the happiest times she's ever seen you.
"We're doing good. When his friends were here, I kind of overheard a conversation they had...but I already spoke to Jungkook about it and cleared the air."
She rolled her eyes. "Oh god. What did they say?"
You cleared your throat. "They were just looking out for him. They didn't want him to rush into things." You were saving Jungkook here without going into further details because, knowing Yuna, she'd have a fit, but you thought Jungkook handled the situation well. "But yeah, we're good. There's no need to worry about us."
"Okay. Good."
"But..."
Her eyes widened. "But what?"
"He has a fancy work event coming up, and I'm going to need your help picking out a dress."
She breathed out a sigh of relief. "I thought you were going to say that you're pregnant or something."
"Me? Pregnant? Jungkook, a dad? I think we'd both cry our eyes out." You shook your head. "We're not close to being anywhere ready for that stage in our relationship."
"Well...I can definitely help you out with the dress situation. Girl's shopping trip?"
Tumblr media
Boyfie 6:27 PM Hey...I just got out of work. Whatcha doing?
6:28 PM I'm out with Yuna right now. Do you wanna meet us?
Boyfie 6:29 PM Yeah, text me the address. See you soon.
Tumblr media
A girl's day out wouldn't be complete without shopping and a big, handsome man carrying all your things. Jungkook stared blankly, cheek-in-tongue, as the two of you roamed around the boutique, marveling at every piece of clothing. "I can't believe they called me to come and hold their bags," he thought to himself.
You peeked out of the dressing room and called Jungkook over. "What do you think about this for your work party?"
He slowly eyed you from head to toe. He cleared his throat before speaking, "It...you...you look great." He had to control himself, especially in the presence of his sister, but he couldn't stop thinking about taking the dress off of you.
You made a face at him. "It's not too much, right?" The dress clung onto every inch of your body. It wasn't your first choice, but Yuna insisted on it, saying, 'you'd steal the show.' And being in the spotlight wasn't one of your life's goals, however, you wanted to look good showing up on Jungkook's arm.
Yuna gasped when she peeked into the dressing room, checking out your reflection in the mirror. "You are fucking gorgeous. Whew." She began to fan herself. "Kookie, you're gonna have to keep her on lockdown because every man at your company will be after her," she teased.
"Oh, quit it." You chuckled, checking yourself out in the mirror again and tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. These sorts of compliments make you shy.
"I'll fight anyone who goes near her," he joked, but also not joking at the same time. He'd do it.
"I believe it." Yuna agreed. "Oh god, I had too much water. Gotta find a bathroom."
She left the pair of you alone in the dressing room, which was a bad idea. Jungkook set the shopping bags he had been holding down on the ground, making his way toward you. He wrapped his arms around your waist, nuzzling himself into your shoulder. You smiled, leaning into him, and your arms clung around his.
"You look absolutely amazing," he stated, leaving a kiss on your shoulder.
"Oh, why thank you," you grinned as he continued to smother kisses on your back. "Kook...stop before Yuna catches us."
"You're always worried about her." He said as his hands began working their way along your side, fingers slowly lifting the side of the dress. And if he continues, all of you will be kicked out and never allowed to come back.
You quietly moaned his name.
"Hmm...cat got your tongue?" he asked with a smirk. He let go, and his hands started gravitating toward the convenient cutout in the middle of the dress. It made your chest easily accessible to him. Way too accessible. He slipped his hand underneath, grabbing your left breast. "No bra?" He said, laced with surprise.
With eyes closed, you hummed. "You're gonna be the death of me."
The two of you were interrupted by a loud cough, and Jungkook immediately let go and stepped back.
"You guys, uh, need some time for yourselves?" Yuna couldn't help but laugh.
A peal of nervous laughter left your mouth as you glared at Jungkook. "Uh, nope! All good here. I'm just gonna change out of this dress."
"Can I stay and watch?" Jungkook teased.
You playfully smacked his chest and whisper yelled, "Go keep your sister company, you horny horny man."
Tumblr media
As you finished getting changed, Jungkook went and sat by his sister. He let out a loud sigh. "You're always ruining things," he joked.
She turned and stared blankly at her baby brother. "Keep your dick in your pants before I cut it off, and your girlfriend will be devastated."
He laughed at her remark. "Okay, okay. No need to be so violent." His eyes followed you when you came out of the dressing room, heading over to pay for the dress. He needed to keep himself in check and not get too excited about you in that dress just moments ago. He watched your every move, from you smiling at the store employee to pulling out your wallet and making small talk as you checked out. Turning to his sister, "Noona."
Yuna hummed, looking over toward him. "What?"
"How did you know Namjoon was the one?"
She grinned widely, not trying to make a big deal out of the simple, but also not simple, question her baby brother was asking. 'So much for not rushing into things, huh?' she thought to herself. But she knew her baby brother well. He would never hurt you. "My dearest baby brother, who is young and naïve..." She grabbed him by the shoulder. "You have to understand something here. Your girlfriend, my best friend," she pointed to you, still immersed in a conversation with the employee. "She's been through a lot of shit, like a lot...especially with U-jin and her mother. I mean, you know that she hasn't talked to her mom in I don't know how long." He continued nodding, listening intently to his sister. "Give her time to heal and recover...don't rush into anything." She stressed the last part.
'What's up with everyone telling him not to rush into anything' he thought to himself. He was only planning ahead, and by ahead, it could be months...maybe years from now. He obviously needed to consider your feelings in this whole thing as well.
"So, to answer your question, it's easy, well...easy for me at least. I couldn't imagine my life without Namjoon like my life wouldn't be complete without him."
Jungkook thought his sister's answer was simple enough. He's practically known you his whole life, so of course, he couldn't imagine his life without you in it. The conversation the two of you had during the stargazing date lingered on his mind. He loved you, every single part of you, good and bad. He wanted it all. He wasn't sure how else to continue loving you without your insecurity and doubt continuing to cloud around your relationship.

hiiiiiiii! I'm really interested in your headcanons on the different Links interacting with each other! specially Sksw and Oot Link since I believe they'd have a lotta beef hehe
WELL anon. welcome to Hylia's Hype House. think the reality show Big Brother but its an afterlife where no one can leave. heres an old but still accurate relationship chart made by @rysktchy since this is something we conceived together during 2020
Tumblr media
regarding Time and Sky..... WELL
So, Time is the black sheep in the Hype House, because of it being him who ends up splitting the timeline in 3. (its also sheik's fault, but he's so miserable about it no one likes to pick on him) Time is opinionated and not afraid to be blunt, which makes him the punching bag. Hylia views him as "difficult". Sky is the #1 Hylia Simp (ss zelda is separate from hylia here), Hylia dislikes Time, Time dislikes Hylia, so Sky is caught in the crossfire. He defends her and that annoys the fuck out of Time, and Time frustrates Sky bc of how stubborn/disrespectful he is.
Sky isn't confrontational and really hates fighting, but Time is very defensive. Hylia is usually the one to piss him off by saying a snide comment, yet its Sky that jumps to her defense and does much of the arguing. And if Sky Zelda is there, which 90% she is, she jumps in there too, to defend Sky. It's all by design.
They don't hate each other, they just don't understand each other. Time specifically is incredibly jealous of Sky, since he was celebrated in his lifetime, is favored by Hylia, and gets to spend eternity with his wife. Time is LONELYYYYYYY
that being said, as time goes on and more Links n Zelds start showing up, it becomes entertaining for some of them (mainly the kids like Wind and the FS quadruplets, as well as most the Zeldas) to start forcing them together in different situations. the Zeldas r definitely yaoi shipping them. (every zelda is a fujoshi bc Hylia is THIS IS MY DECREE) every time i listen to this song i think of them LMAO
youtube
anyways I think thats all I got rn, thanks so much for the ask!! Hylia's Hype House is something I'm planning on writing/developing once my ordinary life wraps up, since its like a crack-taken-seriously epilogue/sequel lol. WE'LL SEE WHEN I GET THERE.... WE'RE GETTING CLOSE!!!!
thanks again sm for the interest😭😭💖💖💖

Did you finish Night Country? If so what did you think of it? I loved Navarro—Kali Reis absolutely sells that stately sense capability and strength and hotness lol—and think Jodie/Kali really sold their relationship being the core of the show I also mostly loved how things played out (didn’t see the ending coming at all) but I wish the show had been given more episodes to flesh certain plots and characters out because some things felt a little superficial (it’s interesting to me that so many people were lost because I thought the show made a lot really obvious and could’ve actually used some more mystique) and enhancing them would’ve made things that much better and cohesive. But trying to find balanced criticism or commentary about this show is hard because everyone defaults to racist, misogynistic, no nuance takes on how it’ll never compare to s1 and just refuses to even see a little bit of the good. Idk I feel like you can dislike it and want better and still recognize the good aspects of this season and the value of telling indigenous stories. At this point I almost wish the showrunner had been able to make a new series like she wanted to, instead of having to be tied to the true detective name because maybe people would approach this with more honestly and openness
Hey, sorry for the late reply. Well, I know I've replied a LOT later before and mostly decided to stop saying sorry because I'd have to say every time, but at the moment, I'm having more difficulty than I used to in remembering how I felt when I finished the ep, so I wish I'd just responded at the time.
Let me see... First, I did laugh like an idiot when they took turns falling down the ice caves like idiots, especially Danvers.
Other than that, I liked the ending but it felt a bit too neat... I think if they'd changed around some stuff, it might have offered a bit more tension because, well, at that point, it seemed they'd let more killers go than caught them. Honestly that and all the quibbles I had, where I wish we'd seen some stuff seeded better and elaborated on more at the end, like you said, that all could have been helped with just giving them the two extra eps they should have gotten. I was thinking that too, at the time, lol, I remember now, when I read your ask, I went on this whole rant (to myself, in my head) about those two eps could have done so much, how the streaming model had killed TV, how these shortened seasons were basically like individual movies with an occasional sequel. I know this is an anthology miniseries and the story finished, but still! Too much is suffering for the same reason. I haven't really been able to get into a single new Trek, it's just a different form of storytelling. What can you do in 10 eps every once in a long while, with a full ensemble cast.
I literally looked up how many eps Discovery ends at and it's 65. Compare that to my home Trek, Voyager, where it flourished with new life when Seven appears. Guess when that happens. Ep 68! I literally had to chart the two shows:
Tumblr media
Look at those huuuuge Discovery breaks.. It's not just that shows used to be given so much screentime, we just got so much so quickly. I absolutely forget what's going on in between seasons of most shows now. In terms of actual amount of time, Discovery actually lasts longer! But I barely know the characters or their stories. I can't say much different for Picard or SNW (barring what I brought in from before). There's only so much character growth and relationship evolution. How am I supposed to love them? Know them?
Maybe that's why I'm gravitating so much to soaps lately...
Anyway, it's more capitalism than just streaming, of course, which also speaks to your other point; I didn't know Issa Lopez just wanted to make a new show and they put it under the True Detective name?? But isn't that just so typical of all these issues! Like, the fact that they're making an NCIS spin-off with Tony and Ziva? They're retreating to the safest, most conservative ideas they can think of. It's happening with everything, companies dropping DEI initiatives, politics returning to big money white guys. Sticking this female-led extremely Indigenous-sympathetic premise with this particular franchise with its defensive white dudebro fanbase.
I wonder how much that's related to the obligatory bigoted backlash to any media perceived as "woke" now. It's all feeding each other, right, bad actors in each space taking advantage and fanning the flames, but it's beyond annoying now to have watched a normal show and go online and see this rabid overreaction to stuff that isn't even on the screen.
The worst part is, as you said, there's no room for the middle ground. I myself don't want to go into detail about the issues I had because there's so much unfair criticism. Like, if I thought it was a little unsubtle in its messaging at times, how can I say that when these fiends are tearing it apart for daring to even have the message. I'm just glad that Foster and Reis were so good and the show so well received that the fanboys can keep crying to each other about s1.
I will say, a huge part of that ending landing was Diane E. Benson as the older Indigenous Alaskan lady being cool as hell. She was so nonchalant and mischievous and angry as hell underneath it all! That's why I wished there was just a bit more tension, a bit more to that scene in terms of its place in the ep, rather than just its place in the story where it provided a reveal.
The handling of the killer reveal was what I found a bit pat, just being like, well, that happened, okay, bye, but the reveal itself? Freaking loved it. Those men deserved what they got and more. :<
Some things I'm glad they didn't go into more, the accident in the past, and what exactly happened to Navarro. Let me imagine she and Danvers are off together in some liminal space. :P
Anyway...I guess I did remember a lot, lol. And now we have a season 5 ahead. :)

Lovely to see a blog dedicated to one of my favourite Disney movies!
No idea if you've been asked this before, but instead of asking about the comedy I'll ask something harder to pin down: what's your favourite emotional moment from the movie? (Mine is probably the apology that doesn't need to be said scene at the grass meadow)
Oh, and if that isn't a stupid question, what are your thoughts on Kronk's New Groove and Emperor's New School?
hey, glad you like my blog!! i only made it this year, sort of on impulse because i was going through yet another emperor's new groove obsession and there's multiple blogs out there like this for my other favorite disney movies, but any similar blogs for ENG i could find hadn't been active in years. so i thought it'd be fun to start one myself. warning that i tend to ramble so this might get a little long.
this might be a bit of an obvious answer, but i think my favorite emotional moment might just be the scene toward the end when kuzco tells pacha he's decided not to destroy the village! i love how it manages to be both emotional and funny at the same time, with kuzco feeling the need to apologize in this snarky, indirect way and pacha knowing exactly what's up and going along with it, and then indirectly inviting kuzco to be his neighbor for the summer. it's so sweet.
no such thing as a stupid question! it's been a while since i saw kronk's new groove and i probably need to rewatch it. i do remember thinking last time i watched it that it was one of the better disney sequels, but also that kronk didn't need to have a love interest tbh? just because of the setup of kronk's papi wanting him to settle down with a wife and kids and a large house, and him being uninterested in those things and determined to stay true to his own groove. though i do love kronk and remember thinking it was cool how they expanded on his character. and i loved it whenever kuzco interrupted the movie and when he pretended to be kronk's fake wife, lol.
as for the emperor's new school... i actually have a lot more thoughts on it but i don't want to reply with a massive wall of text so i'll try to be as concise as i can here LOL. i'll also say that this is all just my own personal opinion and if anyone disagrees then that's totally cool! but the show kiiind of frustrates me and gives me a lot of mixed feelings because i don't like how kuzco is written in it. i get that people don't completely change overnight, but a lot of the time in the show he's just so mean and selfish and his development often gets reset so he can learn the same lesson again in another episode. he'll also have really sweet moments with malina but then go back to mistreating her. it just bugs me because i love him in the movie and i feel like the show could've handled him better while still having him be flawed.
but, on the other hand, the show is often laugh-out-loud funny and i'm really glad eartha kitt and patrick warburton returned to voice yzma and kronk in it, because they're the source of a lot of great comedy. i also think malina is a great character (she's surprisingly well-developed especially for a 2000s spin-off cartoon imo) and there are certain parts of her romance with kuzco that i find really endearing, plus she's headstrong and takes no shit from him, so i still ship them even though i dislike how he treats her sometimes. i also love the fact that kuzco moves in with pacha and chicha and pretty much becomes a part of their family. some of my favorite episodes of the whole show are the ones that center on that wholesome found family dynamic. i've been thinking of possibly making some gifs of my favorite moments from the series!

[Naruto rant/criticism]
Please don’t interact if you’re going to insult me for having an opinion that differs from your, I will correctly tag this post so if you’re a nh stan read at your own risk. I’m not responsible of your actions.
In the recent days I’ve really been having a naruhina hate brainrot. I’ve actually always disliked that pair since the first days I started watching this anime. But the more I think about this ship and the more I dislike it and see less reasons to enjoy it.
Yeah I used to ship ss in the past, because even if Sasuke never has been interested at least he was Sakura’s teammate and had plenty of missions together. (Well I learnt from my mistakes but that’s not the topic of this post!)
However, what do Naruto and Hinata have seriously? For being characters who got married and one of them being the mc their interactions were barely existent and Naruto having basic human decency toward her isn’t a proof of him having romantic feelings. I still literally can’t picture him being on a relationship with her either, no matter how much I try. I always used to find this ship painfully bland, boring, tasteless. I would rate it a solid 1/10 at best, and I’m on a good mood rn.
I got spoiled very early that they were going to be together at the end and even despite that when I watched the last episodes it blew my mind when I saw them going to be married all of sudden. It was so hard to believe. If they were so planned to be together since the beginning they could’ve at least given them some development idk it’s not even that complicated I don’t ask Kishimoto to write peak romance. Don’t even talk to me about "The Last" lol that movie is just laughable. It’s basically Naruto into a genjutsu and Sakura forcing him, guilt tripping him to love Hinata and telling him how much "he deserves her". No sorry but I can’t take this sh*t seriously.
Another thing, when I still was into the first episodes of the series I used to think that Hinata will have a development, she will be strong and all but I was apparently wrong as hell because she’s just as pointless, irrelevant but more annoying and her whole existence stills revolve around N-Naruto-kun 🥺👉👈. The shippuden era was the moment when she seriously started to get on my nerves. She reached a new low when Neji frustratingly f*cking died for her the the only thing she was thinking about was N-Naruto-kun’s big warm and manly hand. The audacity lmao. I would be so ashamed to myself at her place. Also there’s nothing wrong with her being a housewife, raising kids is far from being an easy task by the way but she could’ve at least done something for her clan as the "Hyuga princess", especially about the oppression and slavery that endured the secondary branch through generations and that caused the death of her cousin in front of her. But no, she got married to N-Naruto-kun, so it doesn’t matter, damn why am I even surprised, that was the only goal of her life anyway. That cute uwu girl’s """"development"""" disappointed me a lot, to say the least, I saw a lot of potential in her not gonna lie.
Poor her, she existed only for the sake of a ship that happened just for the dull sequel also more commonly known as "Boruto".

First: maybe everything I want to say will come out a bit confusing, since English isn't my first language.
Second: Girl! You have an absurd talent for writing! I was like a lost child waiting for the moment when I would find another story that would blow my mind. I loved "Pushed to the edge" so much I can't explain it. I will definitely read your other stories, because your writing makes me feel on cloud nine, despite the angst (which I love)
I felt it when Helion spoke of her at the meeting with such affection and mourning for what she went through in the night court. He was the voice of the people (us mortals) when he unleashed all those truths to the IC and I still thought it was little compared to all the suffering they put Y/n through. And the shadows? Always accompanying and consoling her and trying to keep her from killing herself and her asking "please"!!! I wanted to cry so much in that scene. I confess I'm a bit apprehensive about the sequel as I can't see the reader being bad, but she tried to warn them, and now they have to bear the consequences!!! Well, well. What was that entrance of hers? And will the shadows serve her now? I swear I'm going to re-read it because in my euphoria I might have missed something, but as far as I remember, the shadows are no longer with Az, right?
You were absurdly wonderful serving up anguish of this magnitude. By the way, how did this inspiration come about?
@favsrachz
OH MY GOSH. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR KIND WORDS!!❤️❤️ I understand and that's how I feel when I write, so I am very happy of such compliment!!
Helion's truths about the reader - about her visions, and her losing herself to them - is a bit mild, yes. I wanted to really show how the Inner Circle didn't see the reader, nor care about her as much as they did before. They couldn't see that she was so much in pain because of those visions.
Azriel's shadows had always been with the reader, because of them being mates, the shadows were her protectors whenever Azriel couldn't be. They were the ones that protected that light within her. A verse I put in the third part is that "His shadows were attracted to your light, like flies to fire." A little snippet. But yes, the shadows will serve her now, mostly because they disliked the betrayal from Azriel.
And I understand your apprehension about reader being a bad guy next to the Death-God. But remember sometimes villains are forced to be villains because people push them that way.
And her entrance is a bit dramatic, I must say. LOL. I wanted to introduce her using the shadows. It's her way of winnowing into the warded throne room of Day Court.
Thank you so much! In all honesty, the one shot really was just supposed to be a one shot. I thought it would be an interesting story if Azriel was already mated to a Seer - similar to Elain, but more powerful and has had a connection with the Inner Court for centuries. But of course, love and family doesn't last long at times and can be ripped apart, and I really wanted to showcase that heartbreak.
I had no idea that so many people would have wanted a sequel. I felt like part 2 was just a barf bag of thoughts and ideas. I wanted to make it interesting still and angsty because the reader wouldn't be part of it for a while. But what I really wanted was to show that the reader had people other than the Inner Circle who cared and cherished her. That's why Helion was so protective during that meeting - he had lost a child figure.
But again this made my day! I was not expecting such a lengthy ask! Thank you so much my dear!

I wanna get into precure, do you have a fav or ome you think people should start with?
Ye!! I want to preface this by saying Precure is basically a collection of advertisements to sell children toys, but it's fun head empty activity if you like magical girl stuff. I think it's best to just scroll through the Wikipedia page and pick whichever one looks the most interesting to you, but I'll talk about the ones I like and dislike below:
1. Heartcatch
My favorite season. Great characters, art, feels so incredibly full of love. Character design is by Yoshihiko Umakoshi (Magical Doremi). The stylized animation really adds to the fight scenes. I've seen a lot of trans girls resonate with a particular character and it's fun to keep that headcanon in mind when watching. Theme song plays in my head everyday.
2. Hirogaru Sky
The newest season. Really easy to get into and features a lot of firsts in the series such as a blue main cure, first magical boy on the main team, and adult cure on the main team (she's only 18 though lol). I just wish the fight scenes were more punch-y since the protagonist, Sora, is an athlete.
3. Kirakira Pretty Cure a la Mode
This one is hated by a lot of people because there's no hand to hand combat, but I feel like it more than makes up for that with the characters and general bubbly vibe. Has a budget Haruka/Michiru cat girl x dog girl couple for the yuri fans. I never skip the transformations.
4. Futari wa Pretty Cure
The original. Fight scenes only went down in quality after it imo. Really distinctive among magical girl shows.
5. Fresh Precure
The art isn't really up to par with other entries, but if you don't mind that it has a character who really tugs at the heartstrings. Invented the concept of a mid season cure (cure joins halfway through) and no one else has done it like her. Truly believe she suffered more than Jesus.
Others I recommend are Star Twinkle, Tropical Rogue, and Suite.
As for the ones I'm like... Eh about..
Go! Princess is a fan favorite. It has a nice storybook feel, dynamic fight scenes occasionally, and the transformations are stunning. But as an Utena fan it felt weird to watch them go "no it's okay to want to be a princess actually! princesses can be strong too!" Very annoying message to see be sent to kids to buy products lol
Yes 5... There are two episodes I think are like the best in this franchise and then the rest was ruined by a chipmunk I wish was roadkill. The romance is between the protagonist and her teacher (who also happens to be the mascot character lol). It's the season that got a sequel that's currently airing with the cast all grown up, but they had to bring that ugly flea-ridden fuck back.
Huggto. The thing is I was spoiled for this and it was a spoiler that made my neurons kind of short circuit so I decided it definitely was not for me.
Sorry, I know I rambled a bit but I hope you have fun! (Disclaimer that this is just my opinion, I'm aware it's a kids show for kids in case green cure anon is following me)

CHALLENGE ANSWER EVERY QUESTION
Hey, friend! Oh boy, buckle up! I'm a writer so prepare for a long ass answer lol. Here we go...
For most controversial character, if we're referencing all of Star Wars, I would say Kylo Ren (this blog focuses on pretty much everything other than the sequel trilogy- in my mind, they don't exist lol). My personal opinion is he's kind of a little bitch lol, but I appreciate the idea that he's sort of a reverse Luke and Vader situation. In L&V's case, it's the son turning the father back from the dark side, and in Ben Solo's case, it's the father (I wished) turning the son from the dark. *Ask me about my Kylo Ren potential rant lol.
My most unpopular opinion I would say is I actually really love Jar Jar Binks lol😅 I see why people dislike him, but I think he's sweet (and quite possibly a Sith Lord🤪)
Tumblr is my fav fandom pocket for sure!
Endor! It's funny, I actually live in a very wooded area irl, so when I would watch ROTJ on summer nights with the windows open and listen to the crickets chirping, it felt like I was really there🥰
I love me some good Luke and Vader father & son hurt/comfort, and anything Skysolo! If anyone reading this writes these kinds of fics, feel free to message me links to your work!
Favorite story element is hands down Luke's character arc and him saving Vader through compassion and forgiveness. I could go on, but then this would be a REALLY long post lol😆
Sure do! I won't link just for sake of it being kind of confusing- some of the songs take some explaining and some are just from my own fics lol, but some tops songs include "Spectrum" by Muzzy, "Isle of Flightless Birds" by Twenty One Pilots, and "illicit affairs" by Taylor Swift (bonus: see my fanvids for some of these here!)
Favorite Star Wars meme is the "and your pal friendpatine"- that one still makes me giggle snort after all these years🤣
Favorite piece of content is and probably always will be Return of the Jedi!
I get a lot of merch from a local comic book store and some from Comic-Con! I have a few Pops, some figurines, and an Ewok backpack, among many other things😁
I relate to Luke the most- I consider myself a compassionate person who leads with my heart, and I tend to be quick to forgive (sometimes to a fault). But hey, maybe I'll save someone from the Dark Side someday😆
My comfort character is 100% Luke. His compassion and willingness to see the good in others inspires me to do the same irl. He's seen me through the good, bad, and ugly in my life, and I don't know where I'd be had I not clung to him. In other words, he's my son😆
Sequel trilogy? Garbage. Absolutely not canon and never will be to me. Basically it boils down to mischaracterization and trying to undo essential parts of the Originals. I've shed actual tears of disappointment and anger over those movies. I'm happy for the people who can enjoy them, but I will never be able to.
I love the Luke & Vader community! I love being a part of something so inclusive, wacky, and fun! I know I can always reach out if I need something fandom-related or just want to pal around with like-minded people. Shoutout to all my L&V fans! A part of the fandom I don't enjoy is the incest between Luke and Vader that somehow seems to creep up in my AO3 from time to time.
A Star Wars blog I hope will follow me is @kaelinaloveslomaris if she ever followed me back or read my work, I would actually shit my pants.
The short version of why I fell in love with Star Wars is Luke's character arc and him saving Vader, and in turn, Vader saving Luke. The long version? Well, I'll post that another time when I'm feeling sappy🤪
Yes! I went to opening night for TLJ (unfortunately lol) and TROS (also unfortunate lol). I was thoroughly disappointed by both, but I also got to see Solo on opening night and that was a blast! I will say, the energy at all three was unmatched, and it was fun to be around other Star Wars super fans irl😁
I sure do write fanfic! My AO3 is here 😁 You will find a lot of L&V hurt/comfort, angst, etc, and a little Skysolo!
I absolutely loved the Obi-Wan series- seeing Obi-Wan duel Vader ("Anakin is gone. I am what remains."😭), everything about little Leia, Reva, Hayden Christensen's return, just EVERYTHING! I especially loved when Obi-Wan told Leia in what ways she was like her parents. I've seen this series at least four times and that part gets me every time😭
Yes!
Thank you SO much if you read through all this chaos- I hope you learned more about me and got a better look into my perspective of everything!

You know, my hate for Infinite isn't really founded by his actual character per say. He's got a cool design, dope powers, and every attempt he makes at being threatening is just goofy as hell - so he's pretty inoffensive all things considered.
The fandom has done so much heavy lifting for Infinite to make him interesting. The *fandom* are the ones giving him actual character - either through Forces rewrites/sequels, redemption arcs, or hell just scraping the bottom of the barrel for headcanons based around what little information we have surrounding him in an attempt to give him some depth.
But at the end of the day - I think it's very clear that the thought behind Infinite's character just didn't exist. The writers just didn't *care* enough to make anything beyond what we saw in the game - as a character, he's very superficial. He was made with purely aesthetics and marketing in mind. "We need an edgy character to fit the game that kids will find cool" "Huh? What do you mean about backstory, motivation, and personality? He's just evil! Eh, I guess we can give him a backstory to explain why he's with Eggman. Let's give him a vendetta against the heroes - people like Shadow right? Yeah, get him to make Infinite feel inferior or something to explain his mask and new powers. Oh hey, we can make a Shadow DLC out of that-"
He's just so *bare bones* - made with no passion. To me, he's a symbol of SEGA's lack of passion for the series in recent years - and that's why I hate him. Or well - hate is a strong word, should probably just say dislike lol
That's changed with Frontiers though- and thank God. It is so clear that Sonic Team's passion has returned for the series and they are eager to be making more and better content than ever. Love or hate Ian - he obviously knows and loves this series. Some found the references to so many previous games unnecessary and like he was showing off - but I disagree with that. I think it was pretty essential for him to establish that "Yes! There is actual continuity in the series now!" He got his message across clear, and only if he continues to do it heavily in future games will I call it excessive.
Sage has cool aesthetics just like Infinite - but it is so much clearer that she was made with love. They delve into her relationships with Eggman and Sonic, they let her learn more about compassion and family, they bother to make her compelling and let her bounce off the characters. That is the kind of writing Infinite should have had - but the writers back then simply had no passion in the character they created.
But hey, at least his theme song is dope.

Okay, so I finally watched Across The Spiderverse and I have at least 2 hot takes that will get me hated and cancelled, probably lol.
The first one is that I really disliked the animation for this movie. Idk, about everyone else, but I felt the animation was too fast paced, colorful, weird and confusing. It was pretty eye straining which I did not like at all. That and coupled with the characters talking really rapidly, it didn't mix well with the animation at all, if you ask me. Anyone else feel the eyestrain was real for this film?
Anyways, for this film I was most excited about Miguel O'Hara because half Mexican! I was hoping for, but from the trailers, honestly not holding my breath for some good representation. Because of this I'm weary of the film and where the sequel will head.
Like it's really great to see more Mexican characters, but I feel that this itself is the problem. It seems like Miguel is written in a way to be a morally grey character and in a way that he will be seen as a villain by the majority of the viewers. Now, I haven't really looked at the fandom because of spoilers, but from the little I I've seen, it's either you hate him because of his behavior and views or you you love him because he's hot. At least, these seem to be the two extremes. Now, as an indigenous Mexican myself, I hate how Mexican characters are portrayed stereotypically in films and/or are only shoved into grey areas/antagonistic roles. It's very tiring to see. Atsv has great Afro Latino representation, sure, but with Miguel it feels really iffy to me. Idk. Miguel just seems to have this negative air to him and not just because of the loss and pain he's lived through and experiences that has led him to behave the way he does and see the world as he sees it. I just don't want more Mexican characters who are 'mean,' or seen as villains, or just portrayed as being wrong, you know.
This is why I'm very weary of the sequel and not holding my breath either like I said.
Looking at how Gwen's father renounced from the police force, I imagine this means it's likely he won't die because he's no longer Captain. So, it seems that this is foreshadowing and indication that in the next movie, Miles will prove Miguel wrong that things aren't set in stone - and his dad will not die and he will save him. I feel like this is pretty tropey and I honestly hope this isn't the case. Don't get me wrong. I do love the messages and themes of saying fck you to fate and making your own destiny and changing things for the better and forging your own destiny, BUT for this franchise; I actually want to see the morally grey character who is seen as a villain and wrong by the viewers and who is cold because of his experiences to actually be right about things no matter how fcked up and tragic it is. Like give me THIS plot twist for once. Let Miguel be right. Lol. Though, I doubt this will happen and will be too dark.
Also, don't get me wrong (again) there's nothing wrong with morally grey characters and this does bring a lot of great complexity to them (which a lot of people don't understand or still dislike and hate them either way which isn't bad per say, people are entitled to their opinions) but again, shoving Mexican characters into morally grey areas [sacrificing one life for the many - and really all the cruel things Miguel said to Miles despite his anger stemming from his experiences and wanting to save the multiverse from collapsing and what not], shoving Mexican characters into villain/antagonistic roles (looking at Black Panther's Namor), is again, tiring to see so many times happens (e.g. especially with the stereotypical drug dealer/criminal roles that just happen again and again). Idk if this makes sense? I really hope it does because this topic of the portrayal of Mexican characters is really important to me.
And honestly me and other Mexicans shouldn't have to settle for any fictional Mexican characters we can get.
I'm not saying the writers are bad people or with malicious intent or anything, but again Miguel's characterization just comes across as iffy to me especially since he serves as representation to me, to Mexicans.
Idk. Thoughts?

I’m reading your Sakura stuff and it hits everything that I have thought about her from the beginning. Which is why her character ending up with Sasuke and Boruto series and all of that just doesn’t make any sense to me. And the sad part is for like a very short period in the manga I didn’t dislike her as much and then I was reminded again that she was just this self-absorbed person that had not progressed the way the other characters had. And every iteration with Sasuke she makes everything about herself and it’s so grating. I think the part that I hate the most about her character is the fact that she could have changed and matured and grown up but she never did as a choice. Even in Boruto. she still the same character that she’s always been she’s just older and feels like more of a damsel. Of course i view Boruto as just a manga thrown out there to sell out and make money just because the whole heroes from the original story having children that surpassed them somehow was popular at the time to make. Because you didn’t bleach do that? Or are they doing that too? It’s just sad that her character has not progressed and has only gotten more annoying the further the story continues. And I know they tried to explain her and Sasuke getting together with that one gai den but it just seemed like bad fanfiction.
You were totally right in your feels anon.
No matter what her stans say about her, it's just a fact that she is a very distasteful character, she was written that way. That she is annoying and unlikeable is just a fact. You are simply reacting to the way she was written by Kishi, Kishi wanted you to dislike her. Heh.
You can be less than moral or be amoral but still be likeable. Like Deidara. Or Hidan. Or even Suigetsu. You can even be evil and still be likeable, like Oro. A lot of villains are written that way. You can be an antagonist and still be likeable. But Sakura is just none of them and is just unlikeable. I absolutely agree with the part where you said that she could have changed and matured but she chose not to. Yep. She could have done many things differently, she could have stopped harassing Sasuke or abusing Naruto or insulting Ino but she couldn't help herself.
Gaiden is certainly a little convoluted but it actually makes a lot of sense, Kishi wrote it after all. It was his slap in the face to SS and NH ships. Lol. But really, it was his way to tell the audience that no matter what the ending, the real pairing is still SNS. But well, the circumstances forced them to acquiesce to this world, where nothing had really changed. Madara was kinda right, no? Heh. Kishi wrote a very realistic world and things don't always have a happy ending in real life. Just like how Naruto series was given a sequel in Boruto. Real life sucks sometimes. Heh.
I have explained Gaiden, here and here.
Yeah, I have heard that Bleach also ended up in a similar way. But I wouldn't know.
