When They Comfort You Through A Nightmare ~ KARD Reaction

J.Seph:

The sound of you shooting up immediately had Taehyung sitting up, following behind you. You raced through the house, crashing on the sofa as you wiped over your eyes.

“Y/N? What’s happened? What’s wrong?” Taehyung asked, kneeling down beside you on the sofa, resting his hand against your shoulder.

It took a few moments for you to reply as your voice faltered several times. “I had this dream, there was some guy and he was trying to take me away from you.”

“I’m sorry,” Taehyung whispered, brushing your hair out of your face. “Take a moment, try and do some deep breaths.”

“It felt so real,” you then murmured across to him.

Taehyung nodded sympathetically as he made sure to stay right by your side. “It wasn’t real, I promise you, I’m right here instead of whoever was in your nightmare, right?”

“I’m sorry if I woke you up too,” you then told him.

A chuckle came from Taehyung as, as usual, you worried about him. “Don’t be silly, I’m glad that I woke up so that I could be here for you, I don’t want you getting upset by yourself.”

“I’m feeling a lot better now, thanks to you.”

B.M:

Both of your hands quickly moved and wrapped around Matthew’s arm, shaking it as hard as you could as you tried your best to catch your breath after scaring yourself awake.

“It’s too early,” Matthew mumbled, although as he stirred he noticed how firm you were trying to get him awake and listening to you.

After a few moments Matthew’s eyes opened, widening as soon as they looked at you. “I-I had a nightmare,” you stuttered, looking nervously at him.

“A nightmare?” Matthew questioned, moving his arm to wrap around you and bringing you straight into his side for protection.

“I didn’t know what else to do,” you whispered.

A soft kiss was placed to the top of your head as Matthew’s free hand wiped underneath your eyes. “You did the right thing waking me up, even if I was a little bit grumpy just then.”

“Are you not sleeping too?” You asked in response.

Matthew’s head shook as you tilted your head back to look at him. “Not the best, but I don’t think my night has been anywhere near as bad as yours. Are you feeling better now?”

“I’m feeling a lot better laying here with you.”

Somin:

The feeling of your leg jolting against hers was the final straw for Somin as she shook you awake, quickly picking up on the fact that you were experiencing a nightmare beside her.

“Y/N? Are you awake?” Somin quizzed, draping her arm across your shoulders to make sure you knew that she was there beside you.

It took a moment for you to realise what was going on, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. “What happened? Why did you wake me?” You asked Somin.

“You were having a nightmare,” she explained to you, watching as your shoulders dropped, “do you not remember any of it?”

“Not a single thing,” you admitted with a sigh.

Somin offered you an understanding smile as you took a deep breath in. “You were beginning to sweat beside me, not to mention the fact that you kept kicking me too.”

“I’m so sorry, I had no idea,” you hurriedly told her.

A laugh escaped from Somin as you began to return back to your usual self. “I think I can take a few kicks in the leg, especially knowing that you’re not as upset as I thought you’d be.”

“I’ve not got a clue about this nightmare at all.”

Jiwoo:

Your heart had never raced as fast as it did as you watched the bedroom door opened, relieved to see Jiwoo walking in, despite the fear that greeted her as she found you sat up.

“A-are you alright?” Jiwoo nervously asked you as she quickly shut the door before rushing over to the bed and sitting right beside you.

Your head shook as you buried it into your hands, “I had a nightmare, and then when you weren’t here I thought that something serious had happened to you.

“I’m alright,” Jiwoo whispered closely into your ear, “I just went to use the toilet, I promise that no one came near me.”

“Are you sure?” You shakily asked to be sure.

Jiwoo nodded as your head lifted up and met her eyes. “Whatever happened was just a dream, I’m fine, you’re fine, and there’s no one that can get here and get to either of us.”

“You’re not going anywhere else, are you?” You quizzed.

Jiwoo’s head turned to shake as she slowly encouraged you to lay back down again. “I promise that I’m going nowhere else other than underneath this duvet and cuddling up to you.”

“I like the sound of us doing that, a lot.”

He had been having a crush on you for a while, and at first he was sure it would go over. Like it was just a little spring crush but as time passed he noticed he just fell more and more for you. Being unsure if you felt the same, he kept those feelings for himself untill you one day told him you were asked out on a date but you were unsure if you should say yes. That is when he noticed you wouldn`t wait up for him to tell you his feelings and that he has to tell you. He`d use the opportunity to tell you that he thinks you should go on a date, but not with the other guy, but with him instead. In the same flow putting in all of his long held feelings.

“You should absolutely go on a date. But I`d like it more if you were to go on a date with me. I know this probably is sudden, but I`ve been liking you for a while and now that I realized you might be with someone else than me it drives me crazy. I`ve never felt this way for anyone and I can`t hold it back anymore. Of course if you don`t feel the same I am not pressuring you into anything, but I`d really like it if you were to give me a chance y/n.”

He seems like the confident type, so for him to be shy to confess to you he would have had something that would scare him to not tell you. Possibly an interest sparking out of a good friendship, and he doesn`t want to destroy it if you happend to not feel the same. Therefor he would keep it to himself for a long time untill the feelings inside of him would get too much. You would be watching a movie on the couch together. It was funny so you happend to laugh a lot which would melt BM`s heart, cause to him your laugh was the most beautiful melody on earth. He wouldn`t notice how he had been starring at you untill you turned your head to look at him asking him what`s wrong. The only thing he`d be able to do is catch your lips in a quick kiss. Pulling away he would notice just what he did and would finally tell you his feelings.

“This is not how I had planned this to go, but I guess there`s no reason in hiding it anymore. Y/n, I`ve been liking you for a long time but I`ve been afraid of telling you in case this destroys our friendship. I care deeply about you and the last thing I want is for you to dislike me. But my feelings for you are too strong and just now you were so beautiful and I just couldn`t hold back. I guess what I`m trying so horribly to explain is that I really like you and I`d like you to go out with me.”

Somin

She too strikes me as rather confident, though I can see her being a bit more shy when it comes to confessing to someone. Especially if that someone was someone she has had a crush on for a longer time. She`d most likely plan a way on how to confess to them so she can prepare just what to say. When the day and time came to confess she`d dress extra nicely, making sure her make-up and hair was perfect. Taking you to get a cup of coffee with her she`d calmly ask if you were to call this a date. Hearing a “no” from you she`d ask what you what kind of activity would classify as a date to you. Then she`d ask you to do exactly that with her, in the same go letting her feelings free.

“Okey, then I`d like to do that with you. I mean if you are interested. To be honest I wanted to ask you out for a long time. You`ve become one of my closest friends during the time we`ve known eachother but I feel more than that. I`ve gotten feelings for you and I`d like to be more to you than just a friend.”

Jiwoo

Now Jiwoo is someone I can see being way more shy when confessing her feelings to someone. Let alone feelings of love or attraction. She`d be afraid of rejection which would be the main reason for why she would battle with herself about confessing or not. But with enough time she`d build up the courage to finally ask you out. However with Jiwoo it wouldn`t be as planned. I mean she`d know what she wanted to say, even though she`d change the text complete when actually infront of you due to nervousness, but the timing would be casual and random. When she felt the time was there she`d ask to talk to you alone and would then just get straight to the point, hoping you`d sense her sincerety and honesty.

“So, well, I`m just gonna say it. I really like you and I have for quite a while so I just need to ask you this. Would you go on a date with me? Sorry if this is random, but I`ve meant to do this for a while but I`m a chicken so it took me a bit of time to actually do it, but now I do so, would you?”

Nervous to Meet the Others [K.A.R.D]

Taehyung

After dating 3 months, Taehyung suggested that his girlfriend, Monica, should stop by the dorms to meet his members. No one knew about their relationship except close friends and family, so it was only natural that he told his band mates. However, since discovering their relationship, his band mates bugged him about meeting Monica.

When he mentioned meeting his members, Monica grew nervous. She feared to meet them. They were basically his family. What if they didn’t like her? Or if they tell Taehyung to break up with her?

Her mind swirled with the thoughts that scared her. She stood outside the dorm door froze. She couldn’t even reach the doorbell to let the household of her arrival. Part of Monica wanted to turn away and leave, but just as she began to back away the dorm door swung open and revealed a tall man.

He looked down at Monica as he grinned, “Hey! You’re Taehyung’s girlfriend, right? Monica?”

“Ah yes..” She replied shyly. “Nice to meet you” she nervously shot out her hand for him to shake.

He looked down at her tiny hand before he engulfed it with his, “Nice you meey ya. I’m Matt.” He let her hand go and opened the door wider, “Come on in! The girls will be excited to see you!” He ushered her inside and walked into the living room where Somin and Jiwoo sat with Taehyung.

Taehyung waved at Monica who slowly crept inside the living room. Before she greeted her boyfriend she was hugged by Somin.

“Hi, Monica! I’m Somin, I heard so much about you” she let Monica go as she brushed her hair behind her ear. “Wow! You’re so pretty. Why are you with oppa?” She teased and earned a protest from Taehyung. Monica’s nerves melted gradually as she listened to the upbeat Somin.

Jiwoo cut in, “Don’t hog her. You’re not the only one who wanted to meet her.” She shooed Somin before she gave Monica a smile, “I’m Jiwoo.”

Taehyung watched Monica as the girls talked to her. Matthew sat beside him in a huff as he complained about how the girls hogged her. Taehyung shook his head, “That’s why I didn’t want to introduce you guys to her. I knew she’d be snatched up by those two.” Monica met his eyes and he gave her a finger heart and puffed his chest in and out. Monica smiled and let out a small laugh.

Somin shot Taehyung a look, “Go away, oppa! We just wanted to meet your girlfriend, you’re taking her attention away from us!” She clung to Monica and held her close to her protectively.

Taehyung slumped his shoulders. “But she’s my girlfriend. Plus, she’s nervous being with you.”

Jiwoo hugged Monica as well, “Are you nervous being around us. Moni?” Monica let out a laugh and shook her head. “See she doesn’t need you anymore.”

“Come on, let’s go to our room, Jiwoo” Somin took Monica’s hand and pulled her with her.

“Hey! That’s my gir–” There was a loud bang of a door and Taehyung signed, “I’m never getting her back.” Matthew patted his back in comfort.

Matthew

Emma was in a long distant relationship with Matthew. She was one of his childhood friends and started dating him before he even moved to Korea. K.A.R.D knew of her, but they never met her due to the distance. The times that the couple was together, K.A.R.D was usually either in Korea or they were busy. However, Matthew was coming back home to see his family and Emma while his group was on a break. When the members found out, they begged to come so they could meet his family and girlfriend and he agreed.

However, Emma was nervous of meeting them. She wasn’t the most confident with her Korean and she worried of saying the wrong thing or pronouncing something wrong. Matthew knew Emma would be nervous, so he thought he could at least introduced her properly to them over the phone first. They had seen her on his facetime, but with the distance, he wanted to spend all the time he could with her by himself. So, after getting through airport security he called her.

Emma had just gotten in bed when her phone went off. She yawned as she answered the phone. “Hey babe? What’s up?”

Matthew flashed her a grin, “Did I wake you?” She shook her head. “I wanted to introduce you to the others as we wait for our flight.” He turned his phone to the other three.

Emma waved at the other members, “Hi, hope you guys have a safe flight. I thought of somethings we could do when you all get here” Emma smiled softly.

“Oh, she’s cute! Why is she dating you?” Jiwoo laughed as she snatched the phone from him. Ignoring his protests, Jiwoo waved, “Hi! I’m Jiwoo!” She turned the camera to another guy who was playing a game on his phone. “Pssstt, say hi!”

He looked up and grinned, “’ey, I’m Taehyung. Can’t wait to meet you in person. I heard you’re a pro at video games.”

Emma chuckled, “I don’t know about being a pro, but I’m pretty good.”

“We’ll find out when I get there.”

“Game on” she replied confidently.

Somin moved closer to Jiwoo and Jiwoo flipped the camera back to her. “I’m Somin” Somin held up a peace sign. “I can’t wait to hang out with you! We have to go shopping, maybe we can find a man right up your alley. Someone way cuter than oppa.”

“Okay, give me back my girlfriend before you corrupt her!” Matthew took his phone back from the girls. He looked at Emma silently pleading for her assistance.

Emma bit back a laugh. “You’re on your own, bud” she teased.

He continued to get roasted by his members. “You okay with meeting them?”

Emma shrugged as she shifted in bed, “Maybe meeting them won’t be so bad. They seem pretty funny.” He was glad she agreed to meet them even if she only agreed because they were roasting him.

“Goodnight, I love you.”

Emma blew a kiss, “I love you! I can’t wait to see you.”

Somin

Somin had one mission she refused to give up. Her mission… get Dana to agree to meet the other K.A.R.D members. Somin hadn’t hung out with all four of them together before and she wanted Dana to get use to them. She knew how shy her girlfriend was with strangers, but she swore up and down that she would be with her the entire time so Dana wouldn’t be alone.

“Just meet them at our dorm! They aren’t terrible people. They really want to meet you” she pleaded. “It would be cool if we could all hang out more often.” The members wanted to meet Dana and they asked Somin often about meeting her. So much to the point that now it became her goal.

Regardless of all the begging and pouting from Somin, Dana weren’t caving. She was just too scared of meeting them. “No way, babe.” Somin pouted at her with big puppy dog eyes. Dana could feel her resolve sway as she watched her. She shook her head of the thought, “I’m sorry, babe, but what if they don’t like me.” Dana gave her a small smile, but Somin continued to pout unmoved. “You’re being a baby” Dana whined. Somin didn’t reply. That’s when a finger appear from the side of the video and poke Somin’s face.

She looked off camera with annoyance written on her face as she look at her attacker. She looked at Dana again, “The only thing you should be concerned about is you liking them because they irritate me. Especially Taehyung oppa and BM oppa.” She cleared her throat, “This Saturday. You’re coming even if I have to drag you out of bed to get you here.” Matthew poked her again, “Okay, that’s it. I’ll call you later, babe. Bye.” She hung up to attack Matthew.

Dana just stared at her home screen in disbelief before she bursted out with laughter. Her girlfriend would definitely succeed in her mission. She let out a sigh, “That woman… She’s lucky I love her.” She shook her head.

Jiwoo

After dating Ava for six months in secret, Jiwoon finally decided to tell her group members. The moment she told them, they insisted on meeting Ava. Jiwoo liked the idea, but she knew her shy antisocial girlfriend wouldn’t be keen to the idea of meeting her friends. It was hard just to win over Ava when Jiwoo met her, so she thought of a plan. Instead of bombarding Ava with three unfamiliar faces and watch her shut down like an overloaded robot, she decided to introduce them one at a time. Ava agreed, but her bundle of nerves made her stomach turn in fear.

Ava wasn’t a very open person which was a big reason she wondered why Jiwoo ever decided to date her. She was shy, introverted, and avoided groups of people where as her girlfriend was popular and outgoing. Ava never understood how Jiwoo could do it. Getting on stage to dance and perform in from of hundreds of people. Ava never attended a single concert due to her fear of loud noise and crowds, so when Jiwoo asked her to meet her members, Ava agreed. She needed to meet Jiwoo half way if she wanted their relationship to work. Doing something like meeting a band member at a time wasn’t a big deal.

Thankfully, the first member Jiwoo decided to introduce was Matthew and he was easy to talk to. Jiwoo knew Taehyung would probably rely on his jokes which Ava would probably not get as she wasn’t the best at understanding comedy. Somin was the last member Jiwoo wanted to introduce Ava to because she knew Somin would probably scare Ava off with her bubbly and excited ways.

When Matthew got on the phone with Ava, he flashed her a smile before he started talking. He was a natural at starting conversation with Ava and making her laugh when he got on video chat with her. It helped that the two had something in common, their hometowns were in California, so they talked about their home state. Jiwoo didn’t want to admit it as she was the one who wanted this, but seeing Ava easily interact with Matthew made her a bit jealous. It took her weeks to get Ava to carry on a full conversation without trying to flee and yet here was Matthew getting Ava to smile and laugh. Jiwoo nodded her head half listening to the conversation before she finally acted out. She opened her mouth and went to bite Matthew.

Matthew was finishing his sentence before he looked back at her in disbelief, “What was that about?”

“You’re stealing my girlfriend and I want her back” she replied as she held out her hand wanting her phone. “Get out and don’t come back.”

Matthew stood up with a smirk on his face, “Nah, I don’t think we’re done talking just yet, right Ava?” Ava bit her lip as she watched her girlfriend get red in the face.

Jiwoo stood to take her phone, but Matthew held it up higher before she could get it. “She’s my girlfriend! Go get your own!” She whined as she struggled to get her phone back. She regretted introducing Ava to Matthew because after that conversation Ava became close to him. He would often pick on Jiwoo and would often get her girlfriend to team up against her.

He Surprises You When He Discharges ~ J.Seph

The nervous tapping of his hand against the car door was enough for Matthew to end up stopping the car. As he did, Taehyung stared innocently across at him, furrowing his brows as to why he’d bought the vehicle to a sudden stop on their journey from where he was stationed, to you.

“I know you’re nervous, but I’m trying to concentrate,” he chuckled, smiling across at his elder. “Y/N has no idea you’re coming, it’s going to be an amazing surprise, there’s no reason for you to worry about anything going wrong,” Matthew assured him, trying to ease the nerves that he experienced.

His head nodded, but that didn’t stop his heart from pounding as their journey continued back towards the hub of Seoul. It had been a while since Taehyung had seen the roads anyway, but knowing they led back to you gave him a whole new, and exciting, view.

“It’s been so long since I got the chance to see her,” Taehyung mumbled as he noticed his first familiar building, “I always wondered whether she’d want to stick around, especially knowing that I put her in your trust and care whilst I was gone.”

Matthew scoffed loudly at his comment, shaking his head across at him. He’d made sure to take the best care of you whilst Taehyung was in the military. Anything you needed, he was there, well, at least most of the things that Taehyung did for you.

He knew that being away from you was one of the hardest struggles that Taehyung experienced during his enlistment. Neither of you had ever been restricted before in being able to talk to each other, let alone barely able to find the time to see each other in person.

You knew that his discharge was coming up, but Taehyung was always reserved to tell you the exact date. He was desperate to surprise you on the day of his discharge when you’d least expect it.

Eventually, the car pulled up outside your workplace. Taehyung’s eyes lit up as soon as he peered out of the window and recognised where he was, glancing through the front window of the store to see if he could see you in there.

“Just go in and you’ll see her,” Matthew teased as he stopped the car.

“I’m nervous now,” Taehyung giggled, glancing back at his friend. “What if she doesn’t recognise me or something, my hair’s grown a lot since I last saw her.”

“She has a photo of you as her lock screen, there’s no way she can forget you,” Matthew joked, hitting Taehyung against the back. “Just go in, play it cool, and make sure that you give her the best surprise that she’s ever had.”

He leant down and picked up his hat, placing it firmly on the top of his head. Once he had the thumbs up from Matthew, he opened up the car door and stepped out into the open air.

“I hope you know how much I appreciate you bringing me here and picking me up today.”

“It’s just nice to have you back,” Matthew smiled.

As he walked into the store, you were nowhere to be seen, instead his eyes fell on one of your colleagues who stood behind the counter. Her eyes went wide as soon as she saw you, bringing her hand over her mouth to stop herself from making any sudden noise.

Just as he began to walk over to greet her, the sound of footsteps came down one of the aisles. Taehyung’s head turned to look down it, noticing it was you, absentmindedly scrolling on your phone whilst no customers were present.

As he watched you closely, noticing how little attention you paid, he decided to clear his throat in the hope that you would look up. As soon as the sound hit you, your eyes darted up, blinking several times as you studied the figure before you. Taehyung reached up and took his cap off, opening his arms open wide for you to run straight into, not caring where you were.

“What are you doing here?” You laughed, pulling away from his shoulder so that you could study his face closely. “Are you finished?”

“I got discharged this morning, and of course, the first place I had to come was here.”

“Why didn’t you say anything?” You sighed, kissing the tip of his nose. “Actually, it doesn’t matter, I’m just relieved that you’re finally able to come back home.”

For just under two years the apartment had been empty, Taehyung left a huge hole that none of your friends and family could ever fill when they came to visit and keep you company.

“I wanted it to be a surprise,” he informed you, “I asked Matt to check up on where you’d be today so that he could drive me straight over here to see you.”

Your head shook in disbelief, “how does it feel to be able to take your first steps of freedom again? Are you excited to get back to music? To move back home.”

He chuckled loudly, as he placed you back on the ground. “So many questions,” he teased, “but I’m excited about it all. But, what I’m most excited for is to be able to be back with you, I’ve been left without you for far too long Y/N.”

“Nineteen months,” you frowned, shuddering just at the thought, “sometimes those months began to feel like forever.”

“I know what you mean,” he acknowledged, “I lay sometimes at night and countdown how many days were left before I could come home. One night, I was sure I hit two hundred days, but it turned out I counted wrong and it was actually three hundred.”

“I’m sorry,” you sighed, but before you could speak again, Taehyung tickled your sides, refusing to see you unhappy around him, especially since he’d only just got back.

His head shook back at you, “there’s no reason for either of us to be sorry now, even if I did just end up waiting a hundred days longer than I thought I needed to.”

“I can’t believe you managed to get hundred days so wrong.”

The time was the last thing Taehyung cared about anymore, just having you there with him was all that he could focus on right now. It had been the only thing he could dream about night after night during his enlistment, the chance just to finally be back with you.

“Now, seeing as your boyfriend has come home, I’m sure your lovely boss could stretch to giving you the afternoon off,” he smirked, smiling across at your colleague, who’s head slowly nodded.

“You’ll get me into trouble,” you frowned, but as your colleague assured you that it would be fine, you went out back and grabbed your bag, holding onto his outstretched hand.

“I’ve waited for the chance to hold onto you for so long.”

You squeezed his hand a little bit tighter, swinging your hands high and low together. “It’s nice feeling someone by my side again, it was beginning to get a bit lonely constantly walking along all of these roads alone.”

“I don’t plan on going anywhere for a very long time.”

“Good, because I don’t want you to go anywhere either.”

Again not requested but I can’t bring myself to find inspo for certain request atm. Not in a smutty mood whatsoever and I’m having a hard time writing smut lately.

J.Seph/Taehyung:

He had come home really late, a whole day of working having taken a lot longer than what was planned. Taehyung hated the thought of waking you up, knowing your day wasn’t a short one either so he opted to sleep on the couch. However you had a hard time sleeping because you thought he still wasn’t home yet and at 3 a.m you made your way to the living room.

Seeing him asleep on the couch startled you but also filled you with relief. His head leaned over the armrest of the couch and he looked uncomfortable but still peacefull. You shook your head slightly, knowing that he did that so that you could sleep. Leaning down, you kissed his forehead and allowed your hand to stroke through his hair.

He sat up, startled at the sudden touch and you moved back with a laugh. “I was about to fall asleep.” He said, and looked at you with a pout. “How about you fall asleep in bed?” You asked with small laugh and grabbed the hand that he stretched out to you. He pulled you next to him on the couch and held you close.

“Or you can come sleep out here with me... you’re here now anyways.”

BM/Matthew:

Matthew had been working himself to death, producing for the new album, Staydium LA and the podcast. You could tell and anyone around could tell that he was tired. But he caught up on his sleep eventually, taking naps behind his laptop.

He had asked you to bring him dinner in the studio and you could tell he sounded tired, but whatever you could do to help him out. However when you entered the room, Matthew was leaned back in his chair with his eyes closed and hands clasped over his stomach. You placed the food down on his desk quietly and kissed his forehead before going to leave again.

“Hey, kiss my head and then leave?” He asked, sounding sleepy. “I didn’t want to wake you up. But I guess you weren’t sleeping.” You smiled and threaded your fingers in his hair. Matthew smiled at you and wrapped an arm around your waist. “Do you kiss my forehead alot when I sleep?” He asked and you had to think for a moment. It was a subconscious thing you did. “I guess I do, why”

“That’s really cute. Like really cute.”

Somin:

Somin was adament about editing her own videos for her channel. She wanted it all to be 100% authentic and you admired her for that. After a long day of promotions she seemingly still wanted to try editing. But you watched from your seat on the couch as her eyes fluttered shut behind her laptop.

Laughing to yourself, you pushed yourself off of the couch and grabbed the throw blanket. Moving over to her, you covered her gently and leaned over to kiss her head. “I love you.” You whispered and kissed her. But her eyes fluttered open quickly, causing you two to have direct eye contact and you started laughing.

“Sorry I just wanted to rest my eyes for a second, I wasn’t anticipating that.” She laughed and you sat down next to her. “Maybe you should stop editing for now and take a nap.” You suggested, snuggling up next to her under the blanket.

“As long as you join me and as long as you kiss my head again.”

Jiwoo:

You felt blessed that you were allowed to be there during their schedules, you wouldn’t be able to see her all that much. You were tired too, having to keep up with them but it made your admiration for Jiwoo grow even more.

There she was, with her eyes shut as she sat in a chair in the corner of the room. She was completely styled and ready to go on stage, just waiting for the sign to go in a few hours. You moved over to her to put your jacket over her lap and kissed her forehead softly.

Jiwoo started laughing, opening her eyes slowly and you took a step back with a look of surprise. “I wasn’t sleeping.” She laughed and you joined her. “I was trying to be cute but you just completely ruined it.” You said and she laughed even harder at your pout. Grabbing your hand, she pulled you closer while still laughing.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, you’re very cute.”

Heist Betrayal [K.A.R.D.]

When Theresa first heard K.A.R.D, they were just a local thief group, but as time went on she could find their name in any newspaper for high profit thefts. They were good at what they did and that’s why Theresa wanted to join them. Of course, when she approached them, they didn’t trust her. It took a year before they let her officially join any of the operations.

She gained their trust. She was Somin’s best friend, Jiwoo’s sparing partner, Taehyung’s little sister,and Matthew’s queen. Theresa worked behind the scenes rather than on the field. She was their best hacker. She hung out in the van while the others followed her precise orders to obtain their treasure. They got in and out before the cops approached the scene. It was all just a game of chess K.A.R.D vs the police and they were always a step closer to taking out the “king” of the police, their pride.

Their last heist was in the largest jewelry store in town loaded with expensive pieces that begged to be taken as they glistened under their glass protectors. This was going to be their final theft in Korea, they already decided that. All the attacks on homes and galleries was in preparation for this one. After attacking that jewelry store, Matthew knew none of his family would be safe and so he decided they would flee Korea and go to Brazil and take their theft business with them.

Theresa waited outside the plane, she was responsible for their escape and didn’t take part in the theft this time. Her eyes flickered with amusement when their car pulled up. She approached them and was greeted with large victorious grins and loud WHOOP from Taehyung before he helped the girls load the jewels on the plane.

Matthew pulled her to him, wrapped his arm around her hips and gave her a deep kiss. “We did it!” He gave her a goofy smile that sent her heart into a million butterflies. He moved his hand around Theresa’s shoulders and looked at his close-knit family, “Let’s get the hell out of here.”

They headed to board the plane with Theresa in front. The moment she entered, she screamed, “SHIT! COPS!” She was grabbed by the officer on the plane before Matthew could rush over and grab her. She was yanked out of the plane with a gun pressed to her back. Her hands were up by the sides of her face. She locked eyes with Matthew as she was lead to the metal steps of the plane. Theresa looked to her friends, the panic visible on their face as they saw their best friend captured. Before they could plan their counter, several cop cars surrounded the plane.

“Hands where we can see them!” The commanding officer shouted as he pointed his gun at Taehyung. The other officers followed suit and pointed their guns.

K.A.R.D lifted their hands cursing under their breaths. They knew they could try to fight the cops off, but the idea of losing one of their family members was too risky. Matthew’s eyes widened as the cop behind Theresa released her and moved his gun towards Matthew. A terrible feeling overcame him...

Theresa's lips curved into a satisfied smirk, “K.A.R.D” the members looked back at her. “You are under arrest for grand theft larceny and attempting to flee.” She took her badge, cuffs, and gun from the officer who “captured” her. With glee, she flashed them her badge.

Matthew

He watched as Theresa approached him as she pocketed her gun.

“Wrists together” she ordered.

He didn’t move. His blood ran cold as the realization hit him. He was played and he fell for the enemy. Matthew looked back at Theresa. There was no hint of fear or regret. Her eyes glistened with sheer pleasure.

“I won’t ask again.” Her voice was void of any emotion as she locked eyes with him once more, “You’re surrounded. Give up.”

His blood began to boil, he trusted her yet there she was with a grin he wanted to claw off her beautiful face. “You’re a snake” he spat as he gave up and placed his wrist together.

She cuffed him and let out a little chuckle, “This was just a game of chess. Isn’t that how you put it? Checkmate.”

He looked down defeated as he was led away. He couldn’t meet her eyes again or his family’s. He was the reason they were caught all because he fell for a girl like Theresa.

Taehyung

He watched the interaction between Matthew and Theresa. His best friend was arrested and the girl he looked at as a little sister was the one to do it. He struggled in the handcuffs as he met her eyes. “Why are you doing this? I thought we were friends.”

Theresa stopped for a moment as if to contemplate her next words. “That’s funny. I never looked at you as a friend.” She replied with a straight face. “You’d always been my target. Not much to it than that.”

He was stunned. His eyes never left Theresa as she walked towards her partner, the officer who led the arrest.

Somin

“You bitch!” Somin cried. “Did you even give a shit about Matthew? Or even us?” Somin knew the answer, but she couldn’t believe it. Theresa was her best friend. She gave up going after Matthew because she knew Theresa liked him. She gave up so much for her only to know she didn’t care.

Theresa didn’t even glance at Somin as she replied, “Why would I give a shit about some worthless criminals?”

She bit back her words, but let out a strangled cry as she was forced into the cop car. She sat in the seat and looked at Theresa with pain written all over her face.

Jiwoo

She was placed in Theresa’s and her partner, Joon, patrol car. She watched with a dead look on her face as she watched as her friends were loaded into different patrol cars. In disgust, she watched as Theresa and Joon hugged tightly before Theresa got into the driver side of the car. Not once even glancing at Jiwoo.

“You know you made enemies out of the wrong people, right?” Jiwoo whispered. There was a threatening tone laced in her words. “We’ll get you back. This isn’t the end of us.”

Theresa looked into the rear-view mirror and smirked. “I’d like to see you try. I always enjoy a little challenge as you know.”

Jiwoo fell silent, but her eyes never left Theresa. She couldn’t believe the one K.A.R.D. let in turned on them.
