Dream SMP Assumption #8
Today’s topic: Heart or Mind way?
Please DO NOT read if you’re uncomfortable with the themes of death, depression and suicide. It’s a very complicated theme. I did NOT study it and do NOT know some aspects of it. I just go off the things I saw in the smp and made my own theories about it. If you’re even slightly triggered by this, please stop and do NOT try to read it. Please do NOT put yourself in some kind of uncomfortable zone.
Please do not. Thank you
(This is all assumptioning from the fictional world of dream smp)
(Heavy spoilers on the resent events)
(Also just assumptions, when you know something, you can always drop it :))
(This Series is created by another person, that’s just too fuckin lazy to move her butt)
Trigger warning today:
Death
Hints of the betrayals
Okay- what I’ve wanted to say-
is when you like a character, it mostly is because they are relatable. And that’s sad, because when other people are just straight out say this character sucks. Then you just think, “Hey! I feel relatable to them! You just say I suck too!”
Have my Analys why you maybe like your character so much and why you shouldn't shit on others! Because thats just hella rude!
For me, it’s tommy. I find myself in the situation often he is in. Hell, he has two older brother figures and one sarcastic dad figure (for me it’s my mum). As tommy has his deep and undestructable love with the disks, I have my connection to my teddy bears. I mean I’m nearly sixteen now, but when I think going without my teddy somewhere, i will protest and I will beat up people if they try to destroy them. Or for nihachu, being a woman in a world full of men who think they need to guide her, when she is completely able to guide herself! But that doesn’t mean I agree with his/her actions.
It’s important too understand how you act and why you don’t agree with some things!
Other people feel relatable with their favorite character because they make the same decisions. One of My brothers have the same mindset as technoblade. They act the same and make the same desicions. My other brother is the same way with Wilbur.
--------
I will not say here that they all think just in this ONE direction, but how they act in general ways. And this is not any hate against any character, since its actually a analysis and I really feel connected to most of them in some way!
Tommy is a heart person. He thinks with his emotions and that’s why his plan are more improvised and thinks of people first and then the product. Seeing him acting for tubbo and then for the discs. Or him going rescuing Niki and then fighting when he knows he can act out with her being safe. With his emotional way he also makes the brashest decisions. His emotions bring him often into danger and make him a perfect weapon.
Heart people also are
Puffy, with thinking first of the children and even going against a friend and power. Her goal is to destroy something which is planned to be destroyed later, but doing it beforehand since it hurts others. But with her age, she has more knowledge than tommy and CAN act with a plan and not just improvising.
Sapnap is also a heart person. He acts out of emotions and like Tommy, makes many times rash decisions. He likes doing improvised things and jumping into action from a simple order. Not like Dream, who scouts everything out or does one plan after thinking of millions of ways of outcomes.
Phil also thinks with his heart. He just sees children and adopts them. He also carries pain like from when he killed Wilbur. He does make many mind decisions, but most of them come from experience. And with the way he didn’t outright went after the axe of peace, which would have been a logical decision, he didn’t attack Tommy.
Niki is part of the heart people. It’s obvious like we all know. She sees the peoples feelings first and then plans out. When she saw her fox getting killed by sapnap, she let her emotions handle out first. She is also a very forgiving person and a big hearted person. When she is hurt, it will take a long time for her to figure it out. Like she stated, her character has a hard time coping with everything and instead of letting her mind sort it out, she goes against another person. Tommy in this case.
Eret at the start was a mind person, with their decision of seeing something like power first and then the people and also making full fletched and thought plans. But with them deciding to go against Dream (Manberg vs Pogtopia War and losing his crown and later fighting against Dream and protecting Tommy and Tubbo) because of their decision to listen to their heart first. They changed to listen to their hearts, instead of really thinking of their own valuable
Wilbur is through and through a heart person. His emotions made him go insane in the end and the deep emotional bond to Tommy was his unfinished business. He thinks for the country that he makes home for the others and will take his friends dear too him, when they are in danger. He will not hesitate to take a bullet for them or put their safety over his. Looking at, when he stood up to Schlatt, protecting Niki in the process of the crossfire.
Jack Manifold is a very emotional person. He takes things to heart and can't really think with the most logical way. He will remember things you do or did. Like when Tommy killed him and he lost all of his stuff, he was very and is still very angry. He thinks of revenge and the way people forget that he is also pretty young.
For Technoblade, its really seeable that he is a mind person. He barely handles out of emotions. It can be, because he thinks it’s like a weakness, showing his open emotions. He sees his ideals before the heart way. Like how L’Manberg was in the end a big part corrupted. When his emotions gets too much, he will act them out in fletched out plans.
Other mind people are
Dream is PRETTY much the biggest mind person out there with Techno. He thinks through seeing his plans. Like said with how he plans everything through and being always ten steps ahead. His cockiness about his own mind thinking bring his plans to fall. He has a quick thinking pace and also a learn Strats in the moment he fights against his opponent. Which hello? This just screams of a mind, that manipulators take on.
GeorgeNotFound has a clear mindset. He doesn't care about others when its not close people to him, or just doesn't care at all. Hense for all that housebuilding to himself while Pogtopia fought against Manberg. He takes things he feels, makes him more powerful.
Purpled. He thinks through his money. He didn’t question the quest he got and cares about the profit. He has the job of assassin, which just screams of profit and not any heart emotions involved. As a Assassin, you aren't allowed to handle out of emotions. It gives you disadvantage when you show pity against your target.
Badboyhalo sees power now. With the eggplot, he changed from a heart person too a mind person. He sees from the egg a win and got that way manipulated. The egg, which I think possesses him (but thats just me and my crazy thinking mind) Let him make Mind decisions. With who would be good for the Eggpire and who would be dangerous.
Punz has the same way as Purpled. Thinking through the winning situation. He does things when it profits him. He sees a right payment and he will act out on that. Seeing that it is always payment to have him on your side. Or also, when the battle of the lake/tower happened, he choose the winning side, which was obviously Techno and Dream.
Jschlatt is a mind person, Mind you! He saw a way of getting power and he knows how to play it out (not thinking about the drinking part). He saw the threats of Wilbur and Tommy and made the mind decision of exiling them. He thinks of his own profit, without letting his emotions work out.
Tubbo is one of the cases where he has both ways! Surprise! He AINT a “UwU boy”, because he can make brash decisions but thinking in high situations quickly or logically. He makes nukes for gods sake! And with the logical way, he knows when its impossible to win, like when Tommy and him where in Dreams “Hall of Fame”. In Moments he WILL think positively or bring someones else happiness over himself. The discs and Dream Situation! He thinks about his friends and new home, but makes plans on how they can be safe through logic ways.
The people who think both ways
HBomb94 is in there too, because he is really cool. Okay? Good. And the funny thing is, he is kinda both. We saw him, before Doomsday, thinking about the logical way of the situation. In other, when he decided to go away, because he doesn't feel he belongs somewhere, he thinks with his heart, even though, other members respect him AND care about him
Awesamdude is here too because its seeable in the ways where he cares about others and still thinks with a plan. Seeing Tommy’s and Tubbo’s protection and his hotel with a heartfelt decision, as well as trying to help Tommy’s mental state, while still getting his own profit out of it logically, is pretty smart. Props to c!Awesamdude!
Ranboo. He makes decisions like following people first or not choosing sides which is big logically, but his emotions, like being loyal to those who have saved or helped him are heart felt. He doesn't choose sides because he knows that all the sides bring bad conflicts with them and still stays with others for them.
Fundy has both! The Fox can be very hurt or make rash decisions from his heart. But his mind also goes with it, like deciding that he actually liked a big part of Jschlatt’s Plan. He needs a bit of time to calm down of the emotional side, but when he is, he is one of the most clever people on the server, like a fox, you know. Okay, please end me-
Quackity has a more wavering state to heart, but making decisions like taking Jschlatt’s side by the elections and seeing his own profit out of it. After seeing Jschlatts wrong doings how so ever, he did what his heart told him to do and he joined the rebellion.
Ponk has both ways. If he sees profit, he will take the situation. A logical mind set. But also when both Tommy and Tubbo fighting Dream he came with the group to help them, giving Tommy a HUGE FUCKIN AMOUNT of DIAMOND BLOCKS, he makes them a grave out of hearts decision for the soon or already dead people and visits Awesamdude, since they are good friends.
Antfrost who actually has a way of thinking with both heart and mind. When he sees a win situation for him only, he will make it. The whole getting more land to themselves and also the eggplot. But he also makes decisions like letting Niki go when she was their hostage, because he feels it’s wrong.
-----------
I want to hear who you feel relatable too- which character which way? Is it because you act the same, make the same decisions or just are often in the same place? Just comment here!
That’s where I think people will protect their favorite character. Yeah, there are many people who act like Tommy’s character or think like techno’s. Nobody is the same, that’s impossible.
So please don't attack other characters ways of thinking or handling, only if it is something so morally incorrect or wrong (MANIPULATING, KILLING, Hostage situation, total destruction)

Y/N was not really happy to be working in that hotel, it was not exactly how she had planned her summer. She was supposed to be in Ibiza with her now ex-boyfriend. To be honest she did not even want to go to Ibiza in the first place. She was dreaming of much simpler thing, a road trip in Ireland. But now she was stuck in her hometown, working for the local hotel while Jack was enjoying the trip she had paid for.
Everyone around her was filled with excitement and all the town was talking about was how a big hollywoodian production was going to be filmed in their modest village. But Y/N was absolutely not thrilled. All she wanted was some peace and quiet, some time to figure out her life and move on to the next chapter. Working in the hotel used to be her summer job when she was younger, she worked there during holidays and whenever she could and was needed from her sixteenth until she eventually finished her studies and found a suitable job.
She had lost everything in the last few months. First her job, the small company for which she was working faced bankruptcy and only a few weeks after she found out her boyfriend of two years was cheating on her. She had tried to stay in the big city but without an income and with the pain, she had agreed to go back to her parents’ house, at least for the summer.
She thought she would be able to do as she used to, work without really working. Saying hi to the old couples who were used to stay here every summer, greet the new customers here and there, help with cleaning the rooms when there were more than 10 rooms occupied (the hotel only had 24) and spend most of her times reading books behind the reception desk. But now she would have to deal with a full hotel and help with the restaurant during the week-ends. More money but more trouble.
The crew was supposed to arrive today. Rumours were saying that the biggest stars would stay in the hotel as they would feel close by and the rest of the crew - number of rooms being quite insufficient - would stay in the nearest bigger town. Y/N was not really in the mood for divas and their demands. As much as she pretended like she did not care, she had taken a few extra minutes to get ready on that morning.
She was so deep into her reading that she did not hear the footsteps in the lobby. Her feet were on the desk and the bookmark between her teeth as her eyes were rapidly going from one word to the next one.
‘Excuse me’ a voice echoed in the room
Taken by surprise, Y/N almost lost her balance on her desk chair. A blond man was standing in front her. He looked amused and uncomfortable at the same time. Y/N almost cursed but knew how to remain -at least when not taken by surprise- professional.
‘Welcome to the Katherine’s’ she greeted him with a smile ‘What can I do for you?’
‘I’m… Well I’m Ben Hardy. I’m working on a film and…’
‘Oh yes. Absolutely.’
Still smiling, she looked at the computer. This thing was so old she thought, the owners -Katherine and Georges- were nice and their hotel was enough for its regular customers but some things deserved to be updated. Thankfully, she had managed to convince them to invest in better WiFi coverage. He had looked surprised that she did not who he was. But Y/N was not a big cinema fan, she preferred her books and did not care if it had hurt the blond man’s feelings.
‘Indeed’ she said, spotting his name ‘Room 13’
The rest of the exchange was quick and polite. Y/N kept smiling as she gave all the necessary information and Ben walked towards his room as the next customer was entering the hotel. People kept coming in all morning and Y/N completely forgot about the blond man.
                                             ---------------------
Everything had been so crazy for the past few days that Y/N barely had any time for herself. She was used to work without really working but now there was an uninterrupted stream of people coming in and out of the lobby. Everybody seemed very busy but to her greatest surprise, most of the crew was also extremely polite, some of them even remembered her name. Still, she was so happy when she heard they all went early when she arrived on that morning. Apparently they needed the morning light for a scene -Katherine was aware of every little detail- and would not come back before the afternoon.
Y/N finally had some time and enjoyed the warm sun on the back terrace, a book on her knees. This new book was not very long and if it was interesting enough, she hoped to finish it before having to go back behind her desk. And indeed it was gripping, so much so that when she finally looked up -the need to go to the toilets being too strong now- her heart skipped a beat upon noticing another person on the terrace.
It was the blond guy, the first member of the team she had checked in. He pinched his lips seeing her almost falling but she knew he wanted to laugh. She wanted to hide away but she suddenly panicked. What time was it? Had everybody come back already? Did he need anything? It would not be the first time that she would not be behind the desk because she was hiding up here but Katherine probably would not be that understanding this time. She looked at her watch but it had only been forty-five minutes since she had come here and it was only quarter to eleven.
‘I am so sorry’ they both said at the same time
He scratched his head as she played with her bracelet. She was so surprised by him apologizing that she did not know what to say.
‘I didn’t want to disturb you’ he went on
‘What? No… I thought that nobody was around. I am sorry. Do you need anything?’
‘It’s fine. I wasn’t needed this morning so I stayed in bed quite late. I just wanted to enjoy the sun.’ he smiled
He did not seem upset. Y/N did not move although she wanted to run back behind her cherished desk and pretend to work as if she did not want to hide away for the rest of her life. But it was as if she was hypnotized by the man. She properly looked at him this time, his broad shoulders, his luscious lips and his mesmerizing eyes. For what seemed to last much longer than reality they both looked at each other, without a word being said. It seemed like the sun had warmed their skin all of a sudden, or maybe was it something else.
‘I…’ she hesitated ‘I should go back inside. If you need anything, please ask’
‘What’s your name?’ he asked
‘Y/N’ she smiled ‘Enjoy the sun’
She almost asked for his name, but before doing so she was hiding behind the curtain of the lobby, her hand over her mouth to hide a smile. She went to sit but was unable to focus on anything for a while, this encounter had got her completely unsettled. She eventually decided to do some work and overlooked the planning of the week. Once it was done she almost hesitated as her hand was reaching for her book but as she was doing so, she saw the man coming back inside.
‘Mr. Hardy, can I do anything for you?’ she asked as he approached
To be perfectly honest she had checked his name on the registers when he had come back inside, remembering that he was in room 13, one of the best ones.
‘I was just heading back to my room’ he politely said
‘Of course, yes’
‘Is it interesting?’ he asked’
‘Excuse-me?’ she frowned, unsure of what he was talking about
‘The book you’re reading’
‘Oh, it’s alright’ she smiled
‘What is it about?’ he asked, looking truly interested
‘Well’ she started, surprised ‘It’s about two children who are sent to Australia in the 1930s’
It looked as if he was going to say something but his phone started ringing in his pocket. He apologised and answered the call. Y/N looked back to her computer, heat rushing through her body. She could not remember the last time someone had asked her about what she was reading. Usually people did not mention it or told her that she should live in the real world and not in between pages. But when she was reading outside he had just sat, making no noise and truly seemed saddened by the idea that maybe he had interrupted her in her activity. She tried not to listen to the conversation he was having on the phone and he left the hotel before even hanging up and she saw him getting in a car.
                                                  ---------------------
The blond guy did not reappear before the end of YN’s shift that day. She tried to no think about it too much but she found herself eavesdropping as she was shopping in the local supermarket. People were talking about the film and for the first time she was interested in what was said. Apparently the actors where quite famous and they had been seen in the village this week, an information that was not particularly interesting to Y/N. She didn't even know what the film was about. She sighed and after paying started heading home. She wanted to pay a visit to the local charity shop before going home for good. She had finished her book as planned and wanted to see if they had received anything interesting. There was something about second hand books that she loved. The idea that this object already had one, even several lives maybe, that this story was being shared. She always looked for traces of the past owners, dog-eared page -although she hated doing this herself-, spilled tea or coffee, forgotten bookmarks, sand -she always imagined these books being carried around during someone’s holiday, most probably unfinished and sometimes, dried teardrops marks.
The shop was quite small but she knew it so well, most of her purchases in her younger years had been made here. She was greeted by one of the volunteers and made her way towards the books. There were often some recommendations from the people giving their time to the shop but Y/N rarely paid attention to those. Still, one of them intrigued her ‘the book that is being turned into a film in our own little parish’. She raised her eyebrows and picked the book. She knew the name of the author but she had never heard about this particular book, which surprised her. Without thinking she walked towards the cash desk and paid for the item.
Y/N walked back home, thinking about the book. She had not read the summary. It was one of her habit. If she knew she wanted to read the book even though she did not know much about it, she wanted to discover it from with as little information as possible. She kissed her mother’s cheek as she put the groceries away in the kitchen before going to her room. Y/N played with her fingers for a bit, her mouth twisted. She was now thinking about the client from the hotel. She wondered what he was doing in the film. At first she thought that maybe he was part of the production team but she could not forget his charisma. There was something that emerged from him, and his face was so perfectly made, like a greek statue. Y/N concluded that he was most probably an actor. After debating with herself she finally decided not to look at his name on the internet. If she had a chance to, she wanted to discover him without summary, they rarely did justice to the real work.
                                                  -------------
Y/N had her head in the clouds as she was helping with breakfast on the following morning. This was mainly due to the fact that she had spent the night reading. She had not been able to finish her latest purchase, the book was quite long and she knew she had to work on the next day. She was now obsessed with the idea of finishing the novel. Working at the reception desk was one thing but she had never been very talented with the position of waitress. Usually the little restaurant managed by the hotel owners was only opened in the evening but the film crew had requested catering for breakfast.
‘Y/N !’ someone called her ‘Order for table 4’
‘Sorry chef, on my way’ she said, grabbing the two plates
She managed to bring them to the table without spilling anything and although she thought it was almost time to close the kitchen, she saw two people walking in, Ben Hardy and a woman. She recognised the woman immediately, she was a well-known actress. She was so bad with actors but her ex could not stop talking about her and now she understood why. She was absolutely stunning. Maybe it was an actor thing, she thought, but her too had this kind of aura around her. She shook her head and moved towards the table.
‘Good Morning’ she said ‘ What can I do for you?’
‘Obviously same thing as usual, your cook should have my dietary requests by now’ the actress sharply said
Y/N tried not to look too surprised by the remark but she had to prevent herself from saying anything that could get her in trouble.
‘Of course. I am sorry.’ she tried with a crooked smile ‘Sir?’
She looked at Ben, ready to hear something similar but she perceived a saddened look in his eyes.
‘Scrambled eggs please, with coffee. Thank you very much’
‘My pleasure. I will be back with your orders’
‘Make it quick please. I have to be with hair and makeup in 45’ the actress added
Y/N pinched her lips, preferring not to say anything as she could hear another nasty comment behind her ‘I hate this hotel. I am used to a lot better’. Y/N was now too far to hear what Ben said to her but she imagined that he was agreeing. When she explained what had just happened to the kitchen crew they all laughed. Apparently it was not the first time that she was acting like a diva. Y/N knew nothing about it because she had managed to get Katherine’s personal phone number and only referred to her. There was nobody else in the restaurant anymore and Y/N waited for the order, chatting with her colleagues. She suddenly realised that she had missed quite a bit of drama as she had been determined not to care about what was going on.
One of the cook, Kevin, was telling her everything he had heard since the film crew had arrived, and there was much to say. Y/N knew the man as they had grew up together, or at least in the same area. She was one year younger than him which meant that they had never been together at school but the village was small enough that they spent some time together. They had started their work in the same summer, but Kevin had never left the kitchen and he seemed to be perfectly happy like this. Y/N was almost sad to see that the order was now ready in front of her. This meant she would not here the end of Kevin’s story and she would have to face the diva once again. She sighed before carrying both to the designated table.
‘And here you are’ she said with a big professional smile ‘Sorry again for the misunderstanding. Enjoy’
‘Thank you’ Ben said
Y/N had to wait until they finished to get rid of the dishes and she would finally be freed from waitressing duty. She went to a corner of the room, as far as she could to be able to see them and be ready to help if needed without bothering the actors. As she tried to occupy her mind, Kevin’s head appeared and looked at her ‘Hey Wormy, come back when you’re down. I’m making you some special pancakes’. Y/N immediately waved him away before hiding her face inside her hand. She looked at the occupied table to apologize but the woman was already going out, her phone going to her ear. Ben seemed to have finished so she went to clear the table.
‘I am so sorry’ they both said at the same time
They both laughed a little, it was the second time that it was happening to them. But although Y/N was curious to know why the gentleman was apologizing for, she did not dare to ask.
‘I am sorry for my friend’s intervention.’ she started
‘Nothing to worry about’ he smiled before changing attitude ‘I am sorry for her attitude’ he added waving at the empty chair ‘It’s just…’
‘It’s nothing’ Y/N said ‘I should have checked. It won’t happen again sir’
‘Please, call me Ben. You don’t have to apologize Y/N, really. So your...’
And before he could add anything, a man came inside the room and asked for Ben to hurry as he was expected to be going on the filming site. Y/N was disappointed without really knowing why.
‘Have a nice day’
‘Enjoy your pancakes’ he waved
                                                         ---------------
Y/N indeed enjoyed the pancakes in the kitchen with Kevin when all she could think about was the actor. He had remembered her name she thought, it was not unusual that regular customers did but they had only talked three times. A few days had passed and their paths had only crossed twice, never long enough so that they could exchange more than just the usual greetings. Once a week, Y/N had a night shift. She did not mind, it was usually her easiest moment as it was rare to see any clients.
She was reading the same book for the second time. The ending had surprised her so much that she wanted to read it again, paying attention to any details that could have helped her foreseeing the unexpected ending. Suddenly, she heard some footsteps in the stairs and put her book down. Y/N immediately recognised the guest.
‘Ben. May I help you’ she asked
‘Good evening Y/N. Not really, I just wanted to enjoy some fresh air.’
‘Of course. I’m sorry I have closed the door but I’ll open it for you’
‘Oh non don’t worry. I did not know it was closed’
‘It’s not usually.. It’s just, well I’m alone and it’s quite late so I thought’
‘Naturally’
He sounded like he truly understood and patiently waited as she grabbed the keys behind the desk and went to open the double doors. The air was fresh but not cold and Y/N embraced it, closing her eyes for a second. Ben was patiently waiting behind her and she moved on the side to let him out. She stayed against the frame, watching the stars. Ben had fetched his cigarettes in his pocket and lit one before looking at her.
‘Are you waiting for me?’ he asked
‘No. Sorry I did not want to stay. Please, take as much time as you need’ she answered, ready to go back inside
‘Do you have much to do?’ he sounded like he wanted her to stay
‘No, not really. Nights are rather quite’ she admitted
‘Were you reading?’ he enquired
‘Well, yes’
He looked absolutely gorgeous under the moonlight. They were lucky enough that it was a full moon so that did not need any artificial light. His blond hair looked like silver and as he was drawing on his cigarette, a red light reflected in his beautiful eyes. The shivers that were running down her skin, Y/N had not felt them for a very long time, even when she was with Jack. She could barely remember when her ex-boyfriend had made her feel like this. It was stupid she thought. He was just a customer and probably felt sorry that she had to spend the night alone.
‘Is it the same book as last time? The one about Australia?’
The fact that he remembered what the book was about warmed her heart a little more and she decided to join him, going completely outside.
‘No in fact… It’s… It’s the book that your film is adapted from’
‘Oh, interesting. What do you think?’
‘It is an amazing story. To be honest I had not read a book that surprised me this much for a while. The style is very peculiar, but I like it. At first the rhythm was a little slow but it really helps you get into the story. The characters are well developed and you never feel like the author is saying too much or not enough. And the subplot is so intelligent and yet, so well balanced. I am reading it for the second time because I read it so fast the first time I wanted to enjoy it again’
She finished talking and suddenly realised that she had got carried away, as she always did when she was talking about a book that she liked. But he was not looking at his phone or staring at her as if she was crazy. She was used to it, especially with Jack. But he was smiling timidly.
‘I am glad you liked it. To be honest when I read the script I immediately bought the book. I really wanted to be part of the project’
‘Is it as good? I mean, I don’t know much about cinema but… I feel like it could make a good film’
‘I hope it will. But I think so’
And they started talking about the project. He told her about the film, how they changed a few things. The author was no longer alive but they had asked for advice on the adaptation. In fact, it was the first time he was part of the production of a film, he truly believed in it. She felt at ease with him, he acted so so warmly. They both sat one next to each other, facing the moon. It happened naturally, neither of them wanted to go back inside, or at least put an end to this intimate moment.
‘I just…’ she started ‘I just feel it is weird that hum… the actress that you had breakfast with is playing the main role. She just seems… A lot more confident than the character.’
Ben laughed, but not to make fun of her. He appreciated her candour.
‘You know that our job is to play different character Y/N? And… even though she can be… well let’s say she can be a lot. She is an amazing actress.’
‘Sorry’ she quickly said ‘I didn’t want to be mean. And I don’t really think you look as mad as your character’ she joked
‘Enough about this film and me. Tell me about you’
‘There is not much to say’ she looked at him, disconcerted
‘Do you live here?’ he asked, brushing away her remark
‘Yes, no… Well. I used to live in London but… Life happened.’ her voice suddenly lower
‘I’m sorry’ he apologised ‘I didn’t want to make you feel bad.’
‘It’s alright. It’s just so cliché that’s it’s laughable. I lost what was the closest thing the job of my dream, was cheated on by a stupid guy that never really loved me and now I’m back in the little village, living with mom and dad. Pathetic’ she sighed
He looked at her, not with pity in his eyes but with true sadness.
‘It’s not pathetic’ he assured ‘I am sorry it happened to you. But you don’t give the impression to be someone who give up that easily.’
‘Thank you’ she simply replied, grateful that he sounded sincere
‘What is your dream job?’
‘I want to be a book publisher. I mean… I was working in a very small publishing house but it was great. Unfortunately they bet a lot of money of dreadful book and… they had to put an end to the story’
He kept asking questions about it. On the one hand he was not surprised to see that her life revolved around books and she could not help but smile seeing that he found it remarkable rather than sad. She asked him about his work. On the other hand he was surprised that she did not know who he was, but not in a bad way. So he told him about his career, how he was not seeing himself becoming an actor but how life found a way.
‘Of course you were in EastEnders’ she exclaimed ‘My nan love this show, I was sure I saw you somewhere’
He laughed. She was so spontaneous. He was glad she had left her ‘professional’ attitude at the door. They kept talking, on and on. And then the sun started to rise and they realised that they might have been talking for a little bit too long. She apologized profusely.
‘It’s fine’ he said ‘It was probably going to be a sleepless night anyway. I am glad I spent it with you’
‘What do you mean?’
She thought she might have crossed a line but they had spent an entire night talking after all.
‘Acting can be quite a lonely life’ he simply replied ‘And sometimes loneliness is a lot’
‘Loneliness is a bitch’
He smirked. They looked at each other and they saw, that they both knew what they were talking about. How hard it was not to have someone to talk to. Not a friend, no. Someone special, someone who cared. Someone who listened carefully and held you in their arms. For a few seconds they stayed like this, wondering if they should make a move. But they exhausted and it had been a long night. Still, Ben came closer to her and once hugged her. She let her face rest on his muscular torso as she enjoyed the embrace. They parted and smiled.
He eventually made his way towards the stairs, wishing a good night, or a good day, he was not too sure anymore. Y/N went back to close the door, taking a deep breathe of fresh her before doing so. For the first time in a while she felt like the outside world was more exciting than what she could read in her books.

Hello, Well 2018 was a Great time for Cinemas, and what a Year for such Creature Features such as the ones I will be reviewing here, and now may I present to you some reviews of the movies that I've observed on the Big Screen that year.
Pacific Rim: Uprising – My First movie to see in Theaters since I couldn’t find a Perfect time to see Aardman’s ‘Early Man’, but I’m pretty sure this Year would be a Monster of a Movie experience in the Cinemas. Since I’ve have and Watched the First film on DVD, I would think that I should enjoy its Sequel that has been made, and even though Mr. Guillermo Del Toro (the first film’s Director) didn’t direct this Film, he Helped Produce it as well. And as I said before, I do Love a Good Giant monster film, and this film was always filled with Suspense, Action, & Drama, and I would Fear that there won’t be any Hope left if those Giant Monsters win. Also it breaks my Heart wide Open to see a Character who I say and Liked in the First film died in this one. And that one Villainous Character is sure a Wicked Dick (*pardon my Language*) about this one being Possessed by a Kaiju Masterminded Brain. And surprising how that Rouge Jaeger was controlled by a Kaiju Brain, Hit him once & he’ll hit you back Twice as Hard. But I’m glad the heroes win in this Battle, and it took near the Tail end of the Film for the Movie’s Title to appear, unlike the First one where you wait 15-20 minutes for the Main Title to appear in a longest prologue, but for Me, I would almost stick with the Original Film.
Rampage – As I said before, I do Love a Good Giant monster Movie, and this is one of them. And it was a God-Epic monster Mash, even had some hilarious Moments, like when George flips the Bird, and I was like “Did that Primate just flip a Bird?”, though I do know another Ape who can Flip a Bird. And not to mention that the movie is actually based off an Old Arcade game of the same name, and if you Look very closely in the Office Building of Energyne, there are Arcade Cabinets of the Original ‘Rampage’ game, and ‘Rampage: World Tour(?), though I’m not quite sure what the other one is. And the monsters are Hardcore Badass, I don’t know which one(s) are Great (though I pick all of them), and for Bonus, there was another Creature in the Beginning of this Film that was a Rat Test subject. And the Sequence where they hunt the Giant Wolf Down was Awesome and it gave me Goosebumps completely. Plus some Good Elements from the Game is Included as Well, such as Eating People, Tearing down a Building from top to bottom, the military being involved, and Destruction of the monsters themselves. Even when me and my Dad were watching it in the Theaters, and when Dad watched the Commercials for the Film, one of his Favorite Quotes from the movie was “And of course the Wolf Flies”, LOL! And the Lizard Monster in the Film was so Massive & a “Pain in the Ass”, there was no End in that Creature, even when you plant an Explosion in his Ears & throw Missiles at him, he gets back up again, and I thought the Impalement on George would have Killed him Completely, but it was just thru his Shoulders and Thank goodness not the Heart Area or Between the Chests. But still, this film was an Epic Fun Thrillride, the characters are Great & Fun-filled, and I guaranteed this Year would be a Monster Movie Experience in the Theaters.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - Well, me and my Dad seen the first 'Jurassic World' in Theaters back in 2015, so we figured since we love Dinosaur movies, we go this this latest update, and to our Surprise, Original Jurassic Park star Mr. Jeff Goldblum (the big Chill, the Fly(1986)) will be starring in Guest Role, and it was a Surprise seeing him in a Honda(?) commercial to promote the Film. And That my Foodtown was already selling products, even sodas & Chips in Promoting the Features, and it featured some of my Favorite Dinosaurs in the Film such as the Classic T-Rex, and boy was that Opening Scene in the Pouring Rain so Intense, the Surviving Raptor of the Original JW film Blue, who is one of my Favorite 'Good Guy' Raptors, the Comical Dino Hard-head Stiggy, who I find entertaining & Funny in the Movie, and My Favorite Villainous Dinosaur, the IndoRaptor, and if you think the Indomenous Rex in 'Jurassic World' was Terrifying, this IndoRaptor is one Badass Creep, even when she(?) smiles while playing Dead while one of the Soldier guys was about to Chip a Tooth off her, kinda gives it like a Cartoon-y feel to it like the minor ones in 'the Adventures of Pinocchio'(1996). And that Epic moment where the Island was in Volcanic Eruption was so Frantic, even one scene in the Film was shot in One single Lengthy shot during those Round Vehicle Thingies, an I thought the Part where one of the Brachiosaurus was Left behind on the Island while Massive smoke was covering him was the most Disturbed sequences in the Film. Well i certainly enjoyed the film, while my Daddy didn't, cuz he thought there wasn't much action or creature footage in the film, as he thought there was more of some "Love Stories" being put into it, that's why he might like 'Rampage' more, where they showed some monsters earlier in the film, but you might say that some Critics praised Pratt's and Howard's performance, Bayona's direction, the visuals, Michael Giacchino's score and the "surprisingly dark moments", while others suggested the series had run its course, criticizing the screenplay and lack of innovation.
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation - Well, Mr. Genndy Tartakovsky Never Fails to impress us with this Three-times Charmer, and how Lucky was I to reserve a Seating to see this on my Birthday of 2018, after a Good Morning at the Meadowlands flea Market, and a goof Lunch at Taco Bell, I hit the Theaters with my Dad, and the Movie was Fantastic, and since Mr. Genndy Tartakovsky Co-written this Film (along with one of the 'Austin Powers' writer), I know what some Moments in the Film, there are certain scenes that are free of Dialogue, just like the ones in 'Samurai Jack'. And it was a-bit strange to see a Character from one the 'Hotel Transylvania' shorts that I've never seen, and that short was "Puppy", but in order to watch the short (even for myself), I have to watch that Gross-out 'Emoji movie' for it. But for HT3, the Climatic part of the DJ Battle with Professor Van Helsing (Drac's old Nemesis, and was surprise to see him still Alive in Machine parts) & the Kraken was Awesome, I didn't remember the first Official song played, but I do know the second being 'Don't Worry, be Happy', and the Final one was none other than the 'Macarena' and supposedly it's the Extended River remix version of the song which I have on my I-Tunes and have no regret in Purchasing it, along with Daft Punk's 'One More Time'. So I like the Film and can't wait to get it for Christmas, along with 'Rampage' this Year. And I even heard that Genndy will be working more at SPA where he will be set to Direct an R-rated animated feature titled 'Fixed', and an Adventure Film named 'Black Knight'.
Smallfoot - When I saw some Preview ads on CartoonBrew, I thought this looks kinda Weird and thought I'd just pass on it, but after seeing some TV Ads for the film, and seeing how interesting it looks, I thought I'd give it a shot, and kinda find the movie very Interesting if you wanna feel Young at Heart, and was Lucky to see it on Columbus Day, the only Actor(s) in the Cast i know were comedian Danny Devito & Basketball superstar Lebron James, and to my surprise seeing the closing credit of the film that Cartoonist Justin Roiland voiced in the film as well as one of the Yeti folks in the Kingdom, and I only know the names Common & Gina Rodriguez starring in the film. And the Music and songs in the Film are Nice, and I like how some Advance the Characters or Advance the plot, and it was Hilarious hearing one Song being sung in the tune of Queen/David Bowie's 'Under Pressure', and since Common is a Rapper in real-life, he did a Good Singing on when the Stonekeeper himself tells Migo that Humans & Yetis were Enemies in the old ages. And the other reasone I like watching this film is that I'm also Fascinated with Yetis and Drawing them, as you can see from my old 'YETI & other Stories' story in my Gallery, and one of my Yeti inspirations was the old Unfinished/soon-to-be-Finished David Allen film 'the Primevals'. And don't forget that the SF film was inspired by a book called 'Yeti Tracks', which is a good thing that some Films were based on Books such as 'Mr. Popper's Penguins', 'Home', & 'the Adventures of Pinocchio(1996)'. And I like how the Film was promoted "from the Studio who brought you 'Looney Tunes'" in which case, it is made by Warner Bros., and also the people who worked on 'Storks', and this film now made me think of two Environmental Animated films from 20th century Fox such as 'Ferngully: the Last Rainforest' & 'Once upon a Forest'.
Halloween(2018) - I never even heard that the Original 1978 classic is getting a Remake, although It may not look like a remake, but a True sequel to the Original film, and avoiding stuff on what happened in 'Halloween II(1981)', 'Halloween 4 -Curse', & 'H20'. And I read that the original star Ms. Jamie Lee Curtis will be in this Film, as well as being executive producer for the feature along with the Original 1978 Film's Director Mr. John Carpenter, as in they want to make it look Perfect as the original Monsterpiece, and they did succeed in it in Keeping the Spirit & Atmosphere like the 1978 movie. And I gotta say, Micheal Myers is one 'Pain-in-the-Ass' monster in this Film, like he always is in the original series, and I feel sorry for the People who got killed by that Creep, the Podcasters, the Boy who was equipped with a Gun along with his daddy, and a Woman who Micheal murdered and left a Baby behind. And an amazing thing my dad found in a Twist of Story is when Micheal got hit by the Sheriff, the Sheriff and the Late Dr. Loomis' student professor went out to investigate and kill Micheal, only for the Sheriff to be killed by the Professor, and when the Professor dude wore Micheal's mask, my dad thought that he was gonna be the New Micheal Myers, but Micheal resurfaced and soon killed the Professor afterwards. And one part in the Film which left the Audience in an applause is a Sequence that was based off the Original film, when Micheal attacked Laurie and pushed her off the Balcony, he saw her Body Lying there, but when Micheal turned away and looked back again, she was gone, just like what happened in the 1978's film ending. even after watching this film with my dad, he still had alot of Questions need to be Answered about some parts in the film, and I wish they showed more of the Ending with Micheal being Burned alive in the Cellar. And this may be one Creepy Classic that i might never watch again, but I just stick with the original Masterpiece of Fright & Shock.
the Grinch - Man, I am seeing alot of Good films in 2018, and this one may be the Last that interest me that Year, and this one was an Adaption of Dr. Suess' Classic Holiday Tale, 'How the Grinch stole Christmas', or simply titled 'the Grinch'. And seeing how Interesting it looks after seeing some Previews and TV Ads, especially that part where the Grinch whispers to Max and Fred "This is the Loudest Snow I've ever heard in my Life", I've decided to give it a Go, and hoping to see if it's Fascinating like the Original 1966 Animated Classic and more Better than the 2000 Live-Action Jim Carrey one, and it was. How lucky i was to see this movie on a Day off afternoon on a Wednesday, and I thought i would be the only one seeing the Film in Theaters, but it was also some Girls and their Parents & Guardians, possibly had a Half a day off. But for the Film, I Loved how the Narrator of the Film narrates in Rhyme, like the Original Dr. Suess books, and how the Writers improvised the Story using the same Lines in the Books, and It had a Great choices in Christmas soundtrack, especially in the part with Grinch Wake-up Radio with some Familiar tunes I know and Cherished. And it was a Great Film produced by the Wonders of Illumination, the Wizards behind 'Despicable me', 'the Secret Life of Pets', & 'Sing', plus they did another Dr. Sues adaption such as 'the Lorax', even some of the character designs in the film made me think of the Designs from Disney features such as 'Wreck-It Ralph' & 'Monster University'. And some of the Voice Cast in the film I know of was Keenan Thompson of 'All That' & 'Keenan & Kel' voicing Bricklebaum, a jolly citizen of Whoville, and Angela Lansbury as the Whoville's Mayor, and how Surprised/Not Surprised to hear another Familiar Voice in the Film playing one of Cindy Lou's Friends, who that boy is none other than Mr. Sam Lavagnino, the Voice of Baby Grizz in 'We Bare Bears' & Pepper and Alien King in 'Summer Camp Island'. And I'd thought Ms. Cindy Lou Who would have a cute design just like the one in the 1966 Classic, and she did have a Cuter design in this Film when it comes to the Creative Artists of Illumination. And Yet, this has become another Holiday Classic, and when I told my Mother how much Fun it is, she might be hoping to get the Film on DVD for my Niece to Enjoy.
There was a Movie called 'the Meg', though I may have interest to see that, but I wasn't sure how much interested I will be with the Whole thing. And sorry if I didn't felt like seeing 'Ralph breaks the Internet' or 'Into the Spider-Verse', I go for the Obscure & Non-Disney taste in the Cinemas as of now.

nanowrimo musings 2.0
so like five years ago I did a little nanowrimo retrospective where I talked a little bit about each story I wrote and what I thought about it. I’ve been thinking of doing another one while also avoiding other responsibilities so join me on this walk down memory lane:
PUTTING UNDER CUT CUZ IT’S A LOT OF WORDS WHOOPS
Silicon (2009) - Oh geez, I hate to even count this one, but it was my first ever nano attempt so I gotta. A story about Theresa Lee, a girl who unknowingly is an android (closer to a cyborg?), and the team running the experiment. I don’t even think I made it to 10,000 words. Features: first attempts at an intergenerational friendship and an interesting framing device. I don’t think I’ve opened the file in at least 10 years. This is probably for the better.
Relapse of Vernadora (2010) - my first NaNo win! Originally started off steampunk inspired but I have no idea what the final product was (there were airships?? and that was really it). A story about a half dozen Chosen Ones™️ who represent ~elemental abilities~ and they have to...save the country they’re in?? Because it happens every couple hundred years?? I don’t really know. Featuring: a fun first half of interconnecting stories and dialogue that sounds like bad anime fan fiction. Overall a yikes from me but I still love Chira Chronum as a character and will until I die.
Colossal (2011) - I will always label this one as the most read amongst people I know. It’s a pretty simple story about a group of teenagers who can see giants and have to go on a road trip to stop the guy who’s bringing them back from the dead. Featuring: a literal ripped from tv tropes 5 man band set up and entirely okay if not weak narration. In the end it’s hard for me to go back to and read because I’ve gotten a lot better but I’m still proud of it. Also the five main teens have such a special place in my heart and I’ll probably never be fully done with them. Also I think my only nano with a sequel?? (that took me like six years to write lmao)
Extinction Could be a Lot Worse (2012) - 300 years after global cataclysm, and humans have become a minority, giving rise to insect- and fish-humanoid hybrids known as Entosaps and Aquacrans. Arata is a kid with a guitar looking for one of the last major human settlements on earth. Featuring: half baked concepts, heavy handed and misguided messages about racism, and one actually decent speech at the end. Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh I’ve never felt great about this one. It didn’t take me long after writing it to realize my messaging was super mixed and not as woke as I thought. Also like a few super problematic parts that make me cringe hard. Not the worst thing ever but not one I go back to.
How to be an Urban Legend (2013) - oh thank god the streak of straight protagonists has been broken. A really fun deuteragonist set up! Aliya is a party girl in need of a job. Morse is a down on her luck, awkward girl with a penchant for local urban legends. Each encounter Mackenzie Fylan, an urban legend known as a parsinct, a person who goes through overwhelming tragedy and emerges with supernatural abilities, and chaotic teleporter. Through a series of events the two girls uncover some peculiar goings ons in the basement of their office building. Featuring: a plot where like not a ton happens and a fun chapter naming convention. In the grand scheme of things an entirely okay story. Not a story with a ton of stakes but it marked a turning point in my writing as far as description writing and narration go. Aliya and Morse are an unstable couple, but I think I take a little too much joy in their dysfunction.
Scribed. (2014) - Most famous for not being finished, rip. In a world where writers are assigned particular individuals to “scribe” their lives, Ariel Hess accidentally discovers he’s being written about by the inexperienced scribe, Maiara Snow. It would’ve been a fun kind of breakdown and commentary on the stories we consume and the protagonists we choose to write about but it never quite made it off the ground (partially due to life being a lot that year). Featuring: really not much but some fun with style/formatting.
The Incredibly Consequential Life of Charlie Zappala (2016) - After having to skip 2015, this was a fun one to write. Also, chaotic cuz I dallied the first half of the month then ended up writing like 22k in 6 days. Charlie is a disillusioned 20-something who always thought they were made for something greater until real life came and beat them with a stick. That is, until an interdimensional elf herald pops out of their refrigerator and claims they’re the Chosen One. From there Charlie has to balance the world of their dreams with the world they know and figure out which is really meant for them. Featuring: first nonbinary protagonist and a whole lot of swearing. Charlie as a character is such an outlet for a lot of processing of what it means to be an adult in this day and age. I love them a lot. Of course, in the manic way the story was written the pacing is wonk and needs some work before it’s the best it can be. Also the only nanowrimo (save the unfinished ones) that never got a proper edit.
a.u. (2017) - HEY DID I MENTION THIS ONE WON AN AWARD. I’m sure I have. To go from no one reading my stories to now thousands of folks having checked this one out is A Lot but also probably one of the coolest things to ever happen to me. Damian is a fresh out of college fuck boy, Alexander is a hipster barista. They meet in a coffee shop, we all know what happens then, right? If by that you meant that a mysterious earthquake comes every morning to the coffee shop and leaves the two with the only memories of it happening, then yes, we all know what happens. A story meant to be an exploration of fan fiction tropes and AUs, but also with an underlying message of what it means to find yourself when the world around you is constantly changing (#kidswhomovedalotproblems). Very admittedly nervous that I was gonna come across as fetishizing mlm relationships just by nature exploring the typical “””””BL plot””””” so that’s probably what’s stopped me from out right asking people I know to read it haha. Featuring: boys kissing and some actually damn good analogies that I have yet to replicate. Did I mention it won an award? And currently has 30k reads?? Anyway read it online. No shame.
Road to Arcadia (2018) - Boy does this one have my whole heart. Set in a very nearby future (about 30 years) in a world where we did jack shit about climate change (so like current trajectory), Kai Gilling sets off to the desert to look for something better. On the way he encounters a pair of siblings and a woman who says she has a map to Arcadia, an urban legend rumored to be the only city thriving during these hellish times. Cue: desert road trip story. I’d been wanting to write a desert road trip story for ages and the route the characters follow is nearly identical to one my dad and I took on a road trip the preceding summer, so it all came together. Featuring: a main cast where none of the characters are cis/het and Jeep Wranglers. The letters Kai writes back home have some of my favorite writing and some raw emotion and thoughts from me. It’s not perfect in its execution and it doesn’t have the playfulness that a.u. has, but it’s really special to me. Also available online! (not as many reads tho working on that one)
EXCAVATOR: Tales from the Twelve Vessels (2019) - Probably my first real big step into hardcore sci-fi and another deuteragonist tale. In the future, out in the deep recesses of space, flies the jaundian coalition, a group of twelve spaceships housing orphaned races from across the universe, most notably the sapiens (ya humans) and the nkrey (kinda like a mix between grey aliens and high elves). The story follows Meera, a wide-eyed Idealist looking to work planetside and Sauk, a convicted criminal who would like to do not that. Shenanigans ensue. It’s definitely out of my comfort zone to write something in a world so unfamiliar and it was hard to do a nanowrimo story when half the time needed was for world building. Also still not fully finished to this day. I got the 50k but still have a lot left to write in terms of plot. Featuring: ALIENS and sassy teammates. One that I probably won’t know how to feel about until at least another year or so.
Thanks so much for reading!! And oh man I’m only scraping the surface of a lot of this. If you ever wanna know one thing I could talk forever about it’s my stories and characters.

TITLE: Rise and Falls [4] PAIRING: Arthur Morgan/OC REQUEST: Unprompted. BLURB: Ida O’Donnell, no more than a petty thief, realizes that her life really comes in a series of firsts, and some unfortunate seconds and thirds. WARNINGS: None. NOTE: Here’s the fourth part of this and much earlier than expected. I was pretty motivated this weekend, and I’ve managed to plan some things out more so hopefully things might be coming a little more consistently if life and writer’s block allow! ALSO: since this is a series, I do have it posted on A03 for people who want to read the next chapters I post or missed a couple, feel free to ask for the link!
Ida’s first impression of camp was how big it was compared to what she had been told all those years ago by Dutch, and she couldn’t help at how impressed she was about how quickly they managed to pack it all up.
Tents became poles and boxes, things being tucked and stacked away in caravans to head off into who knows where. She certainly didn’t, not completely. She’d heard about Dutch needing to move on from a failed investment out in their current part of the country, some debate between him and Hosea about where to go next. Toward some mountains, further into the heat and out west, Ida wasn’t sure and she tried not to pry into their conversations.
She had been stationary for most of her life outside of the short bit she had managed to break away from the family. She could still see the figure of her father, stumbling over some of the rocks of his home when she had mentioned heading out on her own for a while.
“Family’s all ya got, girl, and you’ll realize that soon enough when ya come crawlin’ back ‘ere. All we ever damn well needed and it’s gonna be on MY terms on if yer gonna be seein’ that again after all this.”
The memory put a bitter feeling in her gut, but she didn’t get to linger in it long before Grimshaw had come up behind her, voice stressed and harsh.
“Free ride’s over, missy! Time you get to work, there ain’t no time for standin’ around!”
Much as the tone made her want to snap back at her, Ida found herself once again grateful to not have the distraction, so she just gave her a tight lipped (barely there) smile before nodding and heading toward where Tilly was working on packing up the wagon she had been sharing with them. Really, they had the place in wagons by the time Dutch decided they were going to head out toward some trading post Hosea was talking about.
Blackwater, New Austin.
Actually riding out toward their destination was another thing Ida had never really experienced. A group this big, moving around without much suspicion? Well, she had her doubts. She had rode out with her brothers every now and again, but it was rare for the whole family to actual leave home. Her father had made that known throughout her life, either too drunk or angry at them to stomach a ride with them all.
So, Ida really was all too happy to ride along back on Tyrant, giving the horse the chance to move his legs and get some energy out. She was nervous about him, admittedly, and it didn’t mix all too nicely with her irritation over how this whole thing was pulling all her thoughts about her family to the surface. It felt that ever since she had agreed to join them, it opened up a gate to let all of that through and she was growing exhausted.
However, for once, Tyrant seemed to relent to being ridden for the most part. There were a few shifts and almost tantrums, but for the most part he hadn’t decided to kick her off his back wholly for once. Really, he seemed like a sturdy horse, keeping up behind one of the wagons easily enough as Ida tried to keep up with the conversations that faded in and out around her as people moved up and down the line.
It was busy but lacked chaos, it was something to watch in her opinion.
The whole thing was new and much like she had learned through pick pocketing, you tend to learn quite a bit by just letting people move about you. She could see the hopefulness with the other women, Ida trying her best to give an opinion when asked but for the most part she wasn’t sure where they were going to end up. Wasn’t her place, she figured, considering how recently she agreed to ride with them all. She didn’t see Arthur, Dutch, or Hosea much, the three of them leading out in front with the wagon and seemed to be in conversation about something.
Despite the uncertainty about the whole thing, she found herself just taking in everything as she leaned against the horn of Tyrant’s saddle and kept her eyes around herself as they continued to ride.
“Goddamn bastard ‘f a man…”
Abigail was all clenched teeth and harsh tugging against the thread and needle she had all but almost tore apart boxes to get to, the camp not settled by any means as Dutch had declared at their small stop in order to sort some things out. With weather and location permitting, they had stopped for a day or two, Ida wondering if it had to do with the newcomers that had appeared along their journey. A woman they had found along the road, and a man that Dutch had found at one of the local saloons before they had left.
Ida figured she should consider herself among the two of them, considering her being yet another recent addition. Still, she had given an answer and she didn’t see much of a reason so far to change her mind on it.
However, it appeared there was still no shortage of drama as Abigail had saught them out after a while, her young son in tow, who now took up drawing in the dirt with a stick as his mother seemed to be taking some aggression out on some unfinished project that she had found among their things.
“He’s bein’ a drunk fool…” Tilly supplied around a small sigh, Ida keeping her head down as she just continued to listen as she worked on repairing a blanket for Tyrant’s saddle.
“Oh, I know. It’s nothin’ new,” Abigail returned, “Just wish he’d not have to carry on like that in front of the boy, he’s broken his heart enough.”
Ida found her gaze lifting toward Jack who was sitting on the ground, his back to them as he seemed to have his attention on what he was making in the dirt. Initially, she had been rather surprised to see a child wandering freely among them, most people greeting him like family. No doubt he had it rough in an environment like their current, but she hadn’t seen too much of his father. John, as she’d been introduced, but she had yet to really talk much with the man.
It was a big group, it had her struggling to keep names and faces together, much less trying to form bonds with people who she had yet to know the personalities of. Though, it felt like the women had welcomed her in enough, outside of the distant Molly but...well, she had a feeling that was a different thing on its own.
“Y’all do me a favor,” Abigail continued after a pause, Ida turning her gaze toward her a moment, “Don’t go runnin’ off to get married anytime soon, it’s not worth it.”
Despite herself, Ida found a bitter scoff escaping before she felt eyes on her. She glanced up to some curious gazes, realizing that had been louder than she intended.
“Oh, I’ve been down that road,” she explained, “I agree, it’s not something I’ve been looking to approach again.” Anytime soon.
“You were married?” Mary-Beth asked from where she had been sitting behind them on a box, Ida not really enjoying the door this conversation was opening. Still, she spoke up…
“Well, no, but almost,” she replied, “Some men don’t need drink to act like fools. There’s...a story to it all, but it’s not one I enjoy going over, but I can say I can relate to the frustration. I was...sold on one idea presented to me when the reality was not even close to what I had been believing.”
“I can certainly understand that,” Abigail stated, shaking her head as she glanced back down at what she was fiddling with in her lap.
“Oh, you’re both so cynical,” Mary-Beth stated, “Well...I guess I can understand why, but there’s nothin’ wrong with hopin’ for somethin’ better.”
“It’s not some romance novel, Mary-Beth,” Karen stated, Ida shrugging.
“It’s not her fault,” she replied, glancing over at Mary-Beth, “I suppose there’s nothing wrong with hoping for something better, but I know I’m not really hoping for it in that part of my life. I’m more hopeful about where it is we’re traveling to.”
“Does this mean you’re stayin’?” Tilly asked, shifting so she could meet her gaze as Ida glanced over at her, “I mean, I noticed Miss Grimshaw pressing a little harder on you than before.”
“I suppose,” Ida stated with a nod, “She told me...the free ride’s over, much as she made sure it didn’t really feel like one, but...well, I told Dutch and Hosea I would ride with them to this new town. New town, new opportunities.”
“Well you better be gettin’ used to new towns,” Karen stated, making Ida let out a short chuckle.
“They were looking to hang me in the previous one, so it’ll be better than that regardless of how this turns out.”
Would it? Well, time would only tell. Still, she had made some sort of decision regarding where she was wanting to stay, it wouldn’t do much use to doubt it completely. Still, she was a bit of a doubter by nature, considering how she was raised. Gut feelings had kept her alive thus far, the rest was left to turn over in her head with indecisiveness. It was something to work on, but…
Well, she never had such a wide range of company before. It was hard not to feel overwhelmed in some way.
Still, she was hopeful about her situation, which was a first in a long while.
 As exhausted as she felt, it was hard not to really take a bottle when it was offered.
Spirits were high, if not a little impatient, but Dutch moved about the space with confidence and his ambitions for them all were not hard to miss. He seemed to be happy with their direction, the uncertainty gone and it allowed for people to relax some. They’d be moving again within a day or so, Ida taking that statement as fact and found herself trying to keep her mind on that and not the feelings and memories the situation brought about, not to mention the earlier conversation with the other women.
It wasn’t hard to take a bottle when it was offered.
Still, it also wasn’t hard to fall into similar spirits as the people around her, sipping on the beer as she listened to the stories and songs. In moments like this, it was easy to forget that they were a group of outlaws, but she figured she didn’t have room to judge with all she had done. Really, it was rather enthralling to listen to the stories, believable or not. All she really had were the ones her brothers and father liked to boast about, and her own but...well, she had a hard time sharing as it were.
She watched the faces around the campfire that had been set up, taking in the expressions and conversations. Ida found her gaze lingering on one of the more familiar faces, not having seen Arthur much throughout the move but she couldn’t help but watch as she seemed to be joking (or mocking) something Sean had mentioned. She had seen the odd amused look or chuckle tossed her why when they would have the chance to talk before, but the grin on his face this time was different.
He looked relaxed, but tired at the same time. It was something that had her stare lingering for a moment too long before she caught herself, letting out a small sigh through her nose and finishing off her beer. She could feel something twisting in her chest and gut, Ida doing her best to shove the feeling down.
Bidding a good night to Karen, whom she had been sitting beside, she made her way toward the wagon again where Abigail lay asleep with Jack at her side, the earlier conversation echoing in Ida’s mind as she let out a sigh.
If only she was better and shoving aside her thoughts, it felt like in the dust of the wagons it kicked up more than just dirt and sand.
Useless thoughts, anyway.

Author’s Note: This is the only unfinished series I will be releasing today but you’ll be getting all six chapters of what I have over the course of today.
Summary: y/n is a Wiccan from the French Mistake universe who finds herself in the Supernatural universe after finishing a spell. She’s not a fan, but she quickly sees the new place for what it is; a world with real magic. But real magic comes with real consequences.
Pairing(s): Sam x Reader, Dean x Reader, OMC x Reader
Word Count: 4359
Story Warnings: Smut, 18+ HERE BE SEX, DO NOT READ IF YOU’RE A YOUNG’UN!!, oral sex (fem and male receiving), vaginal sex, unprotected sex, rough sex, bloodplay, dub-con, sex curse, free-will fuckery. Angst.
Chapter Warnings: alternate universe shenanigans, Apocalypse World shenanigans, sexy starts (but no finishes), mentions of a breeding kink
You walked into the dungeon with a plate and a cup. Lucifer eyed the slider and fries warily. "Who made that? You, or one of your boyfriends?"
You set the plate on the table and smiled. "Well, it's not rabbit food, so you know Sam didn't make it, and it's greasy, flavorful-"
"You want me to put something in my mouth that Dean Winchester's hands have been all over?"
"I do it." You said, picking a french fry off of the plate and popping it into your mouth. Lucifer obviously caught your sexual meaning because his face dipped into a deeper disgust. "Just try it. You liked the food at Biggerson's? Dean's is better."
"I highly doubt that." He said, picking up the slider and sniffing at it. "So, what do you need, Orli?"
"Who says I need something?"
"You wouldn't be in here being nice if you didn't."
You smiled. "We both know that's not true. I'd be in here and I'd be being nice, either way. Don't know how to break it to you, Dad, but your kids ended up good people, despite our genetics, and my upbringing. Maybe we get it from Grandpa."
"The only thing you got from my dad was power. You've read the Bible, you know what he's like, and that's just the stuff he let them write down! Can you imagine what that asshole was really like behind the scenes? At home, in Heaven, he was an unbelievable-"
"Let me know when you're done complaining about Chuck." You started picking at your cuticles and waited for him to calm down.
"What do you want, Orli?"
"I need to know what to expect in Apocalypse World. We're gonna go save-"
"Death." He interrupted. "Expect death, because that Michael... that Michael is not my Michael. That Michael's gonna tear you apart. Look, I don't see the point, kid. Mary Winchester's already dead."
"No, she's not. She's in that cage thing you were in. Iron Maiden-y thing." You shook your head. "I know things, but not enough. I need to know everything about that universe."
Lucifer rolled his eyes and set the burger down, stretching his hand out as far as the shackles would allow. You grasped it and Lucifer's eyes went red as his memories of the other universe flooded your head. You stood, taking a few steadying breaths as you let go of his hand. "Thanks. That's good enough for me."
"You're gonna die."
"Maybe. But I still like our odds. You've got the two most resilient hunters in history, a broken angel who's just as, if not more so, resilient and two Archangel Nephilim who're hellbent to prove their worth. Team Free Will 2.0. I'd bet on us."
"Don't take my son there! I haven't even met him, yet! Don't-" Lucifer struggled against his shackles as you walked out of the room.
"Jack will come see you when he's ready and not a moment sooner." You shouted back over your shoulder. Sam and Dean were waiting in the hallway, both checking your expression for signs of wear. "Got what we needed."
"You okay?" Sam asked.
You nodded. "Yeah. Just itchin' to get your mom home."
"Us, too."
You followed them into the library where Cas and Jack were talking.  Cas had an exasperated look on his face and he turned a silent plea to you as you walked up. "Sup?"
Jack turned to you, innocent eyes shining with confusion. "Are you and Sam trying to conceive a child?"
"I'm sorry, what?" You asked as Sam and Dean coughed to cover their laughter.
"Well, I know how I was created. My mother told me and, earlier, it seemed like you were trying to procreate with Sam."
Your jaw dropped a little as you looked at your boyfriends, who both gave an amused shake of their heads and gestured to you. "Really? You're gonna make his sister field this question?" They both just leaned against the library table and folded their arms over their chests, matching smirks on their faces. "I see how it is. Assholes."
You turned to Jack with a nod. "I got this. See, Chuck, our grandfather, he created the world to be self-sustaining, right, and he needed the human population to be self-sustaining, too, because he was planning to disappear for several millennia. He wanted humans to procreate without having to be told to. Like, you know how animals have mating cycles and they, like, go into heat or whatever? That's them being told to copulate, and Chuck didn't want that for humans. So he made the act of copulation feel amazing, that way we'd wanna copulate all the time." You paused to make sure your words were sinking in before continuing. "Humans are clever, though, and they've figured out a bunch of ways to copulate without procreating. That's what Sam and I were doing. Not trying to turn you into an uncle, yet, Jack."
Jack looked down, thoughtfully. "How do you not procreate?" He asked, curiously.
"Oh, the simplest, cheapest, most effective way is a condom. Keeps the creation materials separate from each other. But there's also hormone birth control and surgical options, like vasectomies and tubal ligation, as well as a few others like this weird foam that I've never seen anyone actually buy but someone, somewhere, must 'cause the company still makes it."
Jack blinked several times. "Oh. Okay." He nodded, then smiled.
"You got any more questions, I'm here, bro."
"Thank you." He almost bounced as he walked away.
You turned to Sam, Dean and Cas, who all looked a bit dumbfounded. "You answered that like, like Dr. Ruth." Dean stammered.
"Thank you. I... didn't know how to explain it to him." Castiel said, sheepishly.
You smiled. "It's all good. You've never been good at the whole 'sex ed' talk. You didn't even try with me. I got all my base info from Penthouse, Playboy and the local Planned Parenthood."
"Ah, yes. The three 'P's of sex." Dean said with a nod and a smirk.
"Yeah. You get your hopes up with the fantasy sold by the skin mags, then you go to the clinic to get your dose of sexual reality."
"What, we're not Penthouse-worthy?" Sam asked, smirking.
"Sex with you two doesn't count. You're Biblical heroes, which is probably the only reason you can keep up with the half-angel wonder witch. Gods know you're the only ones ever have." Sam was still smirking at you and your brow furrowed, slightly. "What?"
"You said 'yet'." Sam answered.
"Yeah, she did." Dean nodded, his own smirk on his face. "You said you're not trying to make Jack an uncle, yet."
You nodded, then shook your head as you started to walk out of the library. "Yeah, well, let's get your mother back from Apocalypse World before we start trying to make her a grandma, okay?"
Dean followed you. "Okay, well... can we go copulate without procreating, then?"
"Really, Dean?" You scoffed, turning to him in the hall outside the kitchen.
"What?"
"It's been, like, two hours since I was in with Sam."
"What, you don't wanna?" Dean asked, giving you his absolute best puppy dog eyes.
"Of course I do." You laughed, wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him down for a kiss. He pushed you into the wall, picking you up and hitching your legs around his waist.
He thrust his erection against your core and pulled back to look in your eyes, smiling. "Reminds me of our first time."
"Against the wall at Miralda's club? Ooh, you were in that tux." You cooed, slightly.
"And you were in that dress with no panties on." He kissed along your jaw.
"Bedroom, Dean! Jack doesn't need a visual aid to y/n's lesson!" Sam called from down the hallway.
You laughed as Dean carried you off toward his bedroom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You weren't focused, that's what did it. As you and Jack joined hands to open the portal to Apocalypse World, your mind moved seamlessly, and of its own accord, from the memories Lucifer donated of the other universe to the memories he'd dug up of your own universe. So, when the five of you stepped through the tear in space-time, you appeared on the other side in a bright and beautiful landscape that looked nothing like what you were looking for. You gasped, realizing immediately that you'd taken everyone to the wrong place, and dropped your brother's hands. The rip closed almost instantly. "Fuck!" You spun around, helplessly, and looked at the men surrounding you. "I'm so sorry! This isn't the right universe."
Sam put a hand on your shoulder. "It's okay. We can try again."
"I'm sorry. I... You know it's gonna take a bit of..."
"We can rest here. It doesn't seem particularly dangerous." Castiel said, trying to soothe you.
"This is all my fault. I suck... I'm so sorry."
"You don't suck." Dean said, automatically, then chuckled.
"Don't." You shook your head. "I am not in a good place for sexual innuendo."
"In your endo." He responded, making you smile despite yourself. "There you go. This is fine. Where do you think we are, huh?" That last bit was directed at Cas.
"I'm not certain, but... this universe is pulsing with Heaven's grace. I believe we're safe." The angel responded.
"All right. Let's take a look at that building over there. If it's as empty as it looks, we'll set up there and try again tomorrow." Dean directed and everyone followed him to an abandoned building a few feet away.
The building was, indeed, abandoned and you watched everyone mill around for a while before walking outside to look around the immediate area. "Who are you?" A voice behind you caught your attention and you turned to the newcomer. *Naomi.* "How do you know my name?"
"I..."
"What have you found, Naomi?" An intimately familiar voice called, appearing behind Naomi.
"I don't know, sir."
Sam Winchester's multichromatic eyes fell on you, then burned red. His lips twisted into a smile. "Orli. You're home."
"Dad. You're..."
He looked down at his body, Sam's body, and ran his hands down the front of his white suit jacket. "Yes, I do look quite a bit different than you remember, don't I? It took a while to wear him down, the Winchesters are so stubborn, but I eventually got my true vessel." He looked up and smiled at you. "You've grown so much."
"It's been a few decades."
"Yes, it has, hasn't it? Where are Zachariah, Uriel and Castiel?"
You looked down. "Um... the soldiers you sent to protect me, they're... still in that other... the universe you sent us."
"They hurt you?" He asked, stepping forward, white loafers crunching against the gravel.
"No, of course not."
"Orli." He tucked his finger under your chin and forced you to look up into his eyes. He sighed and looked a little disappointed as he shook his head. "I should have known. I placed too much trust in Castiel."
"No. It's not Castiel's fault, or Zachariah's. It's just... how things ended up, okay? And I've met a much nicer Castiel in another universe and..." You looked down. It was weird to look up into Sam's eyes and see Lucifer behind them. "Sam and Dean Winchester. Both still very stubborn and..."
"y/n!" Dean called out, walking out of the building with Sam following. Dean's jaw clenched as his eyes fell on Lucifer. It must've reminded him of Zachariah's End-verse or possibly of Lucifer before Sam jumped in the pit.
"Dean!" You reach out and took Dean's hand, hoping to calm some of his rage and panic. "I've figured out where we are. I must've subconsciously wanted to see home. This is... Lucifer... my Lucifer, my dad."
"You never said 'yes'?" Lucifer asked Sam, who was understandably uncomfortable.
"He did, but... things in that universe are very complicated. Like... in their universe, you're the Michael." You answered, smiling at Sam before turning back to Lucifer who looked confused. "God gave the key to the Darkness' prison to you in their universe, so..."
"So, I was the one corrupted." Lucifer concluded.
You nodded. "That's actually fairly common across the multiverse. As far as I can tell, there are not very many universes where Michael is the corrupted one. It's usually you... which is why they're looking at you like that." You took a deep breath. "I do wonder, though... where are the humans?" You asked, looking around.
"Many died in the battle. It was unfortunate and I tried to prevent as much loss as I could, but many went home to Heaven that day." Lucifer looked a bit sad as he said it, but then he smiled. "But those who survived, they've been given paradise on Earth. I have fixed the damage my brother inspired, I've fixed all damage to my father's planet and people. There is peace and love in each and every child of this Earth. Naomi will show you. I will find you when you're settled."
Naomi turned on her heel and started to walk away as Lucifer disappeared. Dean wrapped his arm around you as you started to walk after your father's soldier. "He's wearing Sam." You whispered. "That's so awkward. That, that body-"
Dean nodded. "Well, at least we know your Uncle Mike won't be showin' up in my body anytime soon." He tried to joke, but it didn't seem honest.
"Yeah, 'cause Lucifer smote the crap out of him." Sam said, taking your hand in his. You could tell he needed it more he was willing to admit, so you squeezed his hand and gave him a smile.
"Everything'll be okay. We just gotta hang around here in... paradise for a while and then we can go save Mary like we planned." You smiled at him and kissed the back of his hand.
You stopped short when your eyes fell on a meadow filled with thousands of people, all completely nude. "Wha-"
"We have returned them to the state they were in before their banishment from the Garden. Innocent, without shame or fear." Naomi said, proudly.
"They're straight-up fucking over there." Dean whispered, pointing to a couple in the middle of the field. They weren't the only ones.
"Yes, all of their needs are met here, including their carnal ones." Naomi said, turning to you. "Now, as you are human, you must disrobe so that you will not stand out. We don't want them to ask questions."
"Um, what?" Sam said.
"Do you know who I am?" You couldn't ever remember using that sentence, but it came out, easily. "I'm Lucifer's daughter."
Naomi rolled her eyes and snapped her fingers and the three of you were suddenly nude. "Go enjoy paradise until Lucifer finds you." She directed before disappearing.
"Well, you know..." Dean looked down at you. "When in Rome." He smirked and picked you up.
"What are you doing?" You asked, shaking your head as he walked you into the meadow and dropped you to the soft grass.
"Seems as good a time as any to make our mom a grandma, right? Everyone else is doin' it." He laid himself over you and started to kiss your neck.
"Dean, I... fuck, you... I wasn't planning to... yet..." You moaned as Sam dropped down next to you and kissed you, sweetly.
"Why put it off?" Sam said, looking into your eyes. "We want you to have our babies. You want to have our babies. If we fuck you together, you won't even know which of us is the father. It'll be perfect."
You snorted and sat up. "This is not... this is not happening. We've got more important things to deal with than your... breeding kink."
"Our what?" They asked together.
"I spent too much time on tumblr when I was in Muggle-world, but if you're so keen on knocking me up, boys, we can work on that after we complete our mission." You conjured clothes and handed a pile to each of them. "I really wanted to like Naomi when she showed up with Cas on the show, 'cause I loved Stargate, but damn..."
"So, how much time did you spend interacting with the fans, 'cause-" Sam started, pulling his jeans up his legs.
"Oh, don't worry. I didn't read the wincest stuff." Their faces were a mix of shock and disgust. "And I completely avoided the destiel stuff, except... okay, I read a couple, but they were by really good writers who captured your characters really well."
"Me... and Cas?"
"Yeah. Which is super awkward since Cas is my mom, but not as awkward as that." You pointed at Lucifer walking into the meadow, people bowing at his feet as he went.
"Orli." Lucifer smiled. "What do you think of Paradise on Earth?"
"It's beautiful. But... this is all that's left? Of humanity, this is it?"
"Unfortunately, yes. But remember... Father started with just two and they multiplied like bugs, numbering in the billions before they were wiped out."
"I'm sure you didn't mean for that to sound so offensive, Dad."
"Of course not." Lucifer smiled as he sat on the grass, gesturing for you and the Winchesters to do the same. He gave you a reverent look and smiled. "You look so like your mother."
You bit the inside of your lip, trying to kill the thrill at getting a chance to find out about the woman who birthed you. "Who was she? I mean, what was she like? How did you meet her?"
"She was... no one. She was utterly unremarkable. I think she was a waitress... and I can't really tell you much about her as a person, but... she was really very excited to be your mother, Orli, just as I was very excited to be your father."
"But..." You shook your head, confused. "You can't tell me about her? You created life with her... she died to create life with you and you can't tell me anything about her?"
Sam put his hand on your shoulder as Lucifer shrugged. "I know she was very devout. She wanted to create something beautiful and she did. She created you."
"Her name? Do you, at least, know that?" You asked, trying to keep the anger and disappointment sequestered in your chest where it couldn't hurt anyone but you.
"Karen... Young, I believe her surname was. She was thirty-two when your birth blew her apart." You flinched at the callous imagery. "Don't feel sad, Orli. She knew she wouldn't survive, dear. She was happy to give her life for yours." You swallowed, heavily, and shook your head. You hadn't wanted to think about the fact that your mother had died in an explosion of Nephilim power just like Kelly Kline had, though you had known in the back of your mind that that was what happened to her.
You flew away, not wanting to deal with the way Lucifer was making you feel. You had to take time to remind yourself that even if your Lucifer was the good guy, he was an angel and they weren't notorious for being warm, fuzzy or tactful. Lucifer was a warrior, the General of Heaven's armies, and even so... better than other versions of himself.
Dean found you twenty minutes later, leaning against a tree in the middle of Paradise. "Hey. You're about as good at this Hide and Seek shit as your brother."
"Wasn't hiding." You argued. "Just... needed time."
"You need more? I could walk around a bit, pretend I haven't found you, yet." He offered.
"Is it weird that I miss your Lucifer? I mean, back home, that Lucifer... he's not wearing someone I love... and I just let what he says roll off of me... I'm expecting harsh words from him. This Lucifer, my Lucifer, he's wearing Sam and it's like he just doesn't care about what he says."
"Because he doesn't." Dean knelt down in front of you. "You've seen what the angels are like, y/n. They're dicks. All of 'em except Cas... and he's a damn pariah for being different."
"He's a pariah for a lot of reasons, mostly the angels he killed when the Leviathans were in him, makin' him crazy." Dean nodded. You sighed and stood. "Let's go. We'll grab Sam, go back to the abandoned building. I'm not really interested in my father's Paradise, anymore. I just wanna go save your mom."
"Yeah. Sounds good to me, babe." He wrapped his arm around your shoulder as you walked back toward the place you'd left Sam and Lucifer.
Lucifer smiled when you approached, but Sam stood quickly, like he couldn't wait to leave. You pulled away from Dean and approached Lucifer "It was amazing to meet you, Father, but unfortunately, I... uh, I have to go. We're on a mission to save Sam and Dean's mother from what amounts to a Hell dimension, so... I'll try to come back... after." You promised.
"I understand. Whenever you're ready to take your place by my side, I'll be waiting for you, Orli."
You smiled, tightly. "I don't really think my place is by your side, Lucifer. I think... I know my place is with Sam and Dean. But I'll visit." You nodded at your father and grabbed Sam and Dean's hands, flying them back to the abandoned building, where Cas and Jack were standing around confused.
"Where have you been?" Jack asked, eyes turned down slightly.
"Meeting the parents." Dean said. "First time for everything."
"This is... where I'm from. We were happened upon by... my father. I don't want to talk about it. Can we just open a damn portal and get the fuck out of here, please?" You reached your hand out for Jack's and he let you take it without any argument. You focused hard on Apocalypse World as you opened a sliver in space and when you walked through, you were happy to see what you recognized as the world Michael had destroyed. "Okay. Anybody know where we are?" You asked as everyone else stepped through the rift and it closed behind Dean.
"Northern Kentucky... near Frankfort." Castiel answered.
You took a deep breath and flopped down on the soft grass. "I'm gonna see if I can't find an actual location for your mom. Gimme a minute while I astral outta here." You closed your eyes and pulled your consciousness from your body, following anything that seemed familiar, anything that might come from somewhere other than this horrible place. You found Mary in a church. It was exactly the church Lucifer was in. Michael's base. She was locked in a cinder block room. *Better than the iron maiden cage.*
"Not by much." A voice made you turn. Even if you hadn't seen the show, you'd recognize the archangel with the dark skin and full beard. He was pouring power and it made your heart stop. Mary turned to his voice, but didn't seem to see you. "Now, who exactly are you?"
You had to remind yourself that you were a projection, that he couldn't hurt you from where you were. "Y/n."
"Are you part of the resistance?" Mary seemed confused that he wasn't looking at her as he spoke.
"No. I'm just a curious witch who's-"
"Infiltrated my base in order to find a weakness?"
You shook your head. "Nope. Just trying to find a Winchester."
"You're here for her?" Mary straightened, slightly, as Michael spoke.
You swallowed. "She doesn't belong here, Michael. I'm just trying to get her back where she-"
"You from that same paradise?"
"No, I'm from a different paradise. One where you lost and Lucifer won."
"That's a calumny! My brother could never win!"
"Except he did. I think you'd really like it there. There's barely any humans left. They all live in this one big meadow, like an Eden on Earth. Takes just a few angels to keep them in check. Demons are gone, far as I can tell, and everything's very simple." You swallowed. "I think Lucifer's a bit bored, actually. Not that I stuck around to find out."
"You don't think I'm going to let you take her, do you?" He asked, suddenly.
"Nope." You shrugged. "But we're taking her, anyway."
"We? Who, exactly, do you have with you that you think can stand to me and my army of angels?"
You smiled. "Wouldn't you like to know?" You gasped as you came back to your slumped body. "Morgantown, West Virginia. He's got her in an old, broken-down church with a million wards on it, so we can't just fly in." You stood, brushing off your butt. "He saw me. He knows we're coming."
"Great." Dean groaned.
"But, we can still do this, okay? You've got two Nephilim on your team. We're more powerful than-"
"I have faith in us." Jack said, smiling.
You smiled back and bit your lip before turning to the others. "Your mom looked okay. I think they're just holding onto her to open the gate when they get around to it... the spell from the angel tablet, it requires something from someone who's been on the other side... so..."
"Wait, you know the spell?" Sam asked.
"I've got a pretty good memory, Sam, especially when it comes to spells."
"That's not true. You couldn't even remember the words you used to bring you to our dimension." Dean argued.
"The words didn't do it, Dean, I did. My will did, and besides, I was a bit overwhelmed when Rowena was questioning me, okay? Geez. Anyway, the spell on the tablet is Blood of a Most Holy Man, Fruit from the Tree of Life, archangel Grace and something from someone who's been on the other side. The archangel grace did double duty for Michael's version, because it came from your Lucifer. Not that it matters. You've got me and Jack."
"Yeah, let's just make sure Michael doesn't get you and Jack." Cas said.
"New thing to worry about. Thanks, Cas." You licked your lips and sighed. "Okay, well. Let's get walkin'."
unfinished business - part one
[[Unfinished Business -- a series of fics (mostly Halloween based, but not always) that @whoacanada started and never managed to finish. Each part is a stand-alone, incomplete piece that will not be finished (unless by some miracle I figure out what the hell I’m doing). General warnings for the series: implied character deaths, mental illness, ghosts, monsters, possession, probably gore idk, etc.]]
Title: possession (is the motivation)
Summary: After a tragic accident, Jack wakes up in the hospital with more than one voice in his head.
It’s like this every day.
Every waking moment he entertains a voice of reason — of madness — that is not his own and never will be. Only one body was fished out of Providence River that night. One body and two minds.
Doctors were quick to assume the worst, but that’s not what this is.
[A product of severe psychological trauma —]
He can still play. Ownership isn’t going to let a little thing like insanity keep Providence from another cup. There’s still an ‘A’ on Jack’s uniform. It’s still his team, and if he skates a little faster, spins a little more than usual, no one can argue with the results.
You look stunning in blue. I wish you’d wear it more often.
“Thank you,” Jack says, trying not to stare down his own reflection to search for lingering signs of Eric Richard Bittle. Instead, he finds only scars — remnants of the accident and horrors he’d just as soon forget.
Badges of honor, the voice placates. You’re beautiful. A testament to your strength, your ability to adapt. To survive.
“I survived you,” Jack mutters, prodding at a thin line of scar tissue that curves across his cheek. “Not that I ever wanted to.”
None of that, Sugar —
Jack can feel his control slipping away by inches as the aggressive press of his fingers lessens and a hand he no longer controls caresses his skin; a distinct contrast to the cold burn of something distinctly other taking command of his body.
This is how Jack knows he’s not insane, that he’s not merely the product of his unique life experiences and mental illness. He allows himself to be swept away, unable to find the motivation to fight; not this early, not over something as simple as clothing choice and how to style his hair.
Don’t part my hair. Jack thinks. We’re not going out today.
“Oh, I do believe we are. You haven’t been shopping in days. If you are unable to find the time to maintain your own well being, I will be quite happy to do so for the both of us.”
He’s already thumbing through Jack’s shirts for the royal blue button-up he’d been encouraging earlier.
We need eggs. Chicken. Milk. Some bread. Jack goes down the list in his mind and the Other laughs so sweetly in Jack’s stolen voice.
“I can make bread, Darlin’. No red meat for you today?”
Training, Jack offers. Paper towels, toilet paper, Jack continues. Spinach, onions, celery. Carrots maybe? I really should leave this to you.
The Other presses a kiss to his knuckles and shoots a smile back to the mirror. If Jack focuses hard enough, he thinks he can see Eric’s face looking back.
Sometimes I do miss being ‘them’ instead of ‘us’, Jack laments.
“At least we’re together,” Bitty soothes with Jack’s voice. “I’m right here with you, right where you need me.”
______
Jack scans the menu and tries not to smile at Bitty’s excited rambling in the back of his mind.
“Crawfish étouffée! Honey, next time you have to try it. I mean, I know it can’t possibly hold a candle to what we had in New Orleans, but I want to know if the chef is —“
“Something funny?”
Jack brings his attention back to the table, where his father is watching him carefully.
“Just…a memory. That’s all.”
“Something is wrong with you,” Bob insists, dropping his credit card on top of a bill he hasn’t bothered to look at. “Is the medication working?”
“It slows me down,” Jack defends, even as Bitty bristles.
How can he play if he can’t think, Robert?
“Don’t,” Jack warns under his breath, barely able to catch Bitty’s words from escaping him, and his father watches him with terrifyingly knowing eyes.
“You think I don’t know what this is? What you’re hiding?” Bob accuses softly. “You would have said anything to get out of the hospital. The voices you were hearing, they didn’t go away, did they?”
Jack can feel his control slipping and Bitty snaps, “I’m not a voice.”
Rating All The Black Mirror Episodes I Have Seen Go
1. USS Callister
At numero uno is unarguably one of the top best episodes. This was the first episode I ever saw, and wow what a start. This has the thought provoking, interesting and engaging plot, as well as occasional levity/ humor. 10/10, terrifying and fascinating, would watch again and make fun of Star Trek
2. San Junipero
Another unarguable incredible. This is not as explicitly about the problems with tech, in fact it is actually in my opinion more about the good parts, and the bad is only revealed at the end with your ownassumptions of the future. The plot........ magnefique. Their world, the mysteries you slowly start to uncover until it all suddenly makes sense and you’re crying, it is. Wow. Humanitize old people.
3. Hang the Dj
Now when I first was watching this I didn’t expect much. It’s a straight romance in a world with obvious problems. Okay. I thought I had the ending pinned. But quickly enough, I actually got into it and their dynamic. Their leaving and getting back together, the world they live in, became fascinating. Although the main portion was interesting, I’d say the best part of this story is the ending. Watch it only for the ending. Wow. Plot good, terrifying tech check.
4. Hated in the nation
The mystery! The trying to figure it out and going holy shit w o w okay I understand now! I am afraid!!! The murder weapon!! The rage I felt to cErTaIn ChArAtErS!!!!!!!!!! The ambiguity in ending!!!!! This made me terrified, in fact the most terrified this series has made me so far, plot and cool characters? Check. This is a whole ass movie, and a good one at that.
5. Smithereens
Every news outlet I see that rates black mirror episodes consistently rate this low. And I can see why, not exactly original, it drags on far far too long, but now concider this: This Episode Made Me Cry For A Solid Hour And Has A Truly Solid + Impactful Ending Among The Other Greats Of The Series. I know the plot is okay. I know. I also know that Andrew Scott’s acting. Exists. I know that his character, the hostage, and the creator exists. I know. I know that this changed my outlook on the world. And I know. That this episode was good.
6. Black museum
Now this one was hard as it is a really messy episode. It’s 3 different episodes of black mirror, all unfinished, and it throws you for a trip when going in between. But, do concider, every single story was fascinating. I loved every one. Thoughts. Especially loved how it all tied together in the end. Also it’s Shuri so.
7. Metal head
This threat? Not as interesting. The lesson? Not really there. The cinematography? The ending? The characters, action? There. Incredible. I don’t really have a reason for the placement here it was lame in plot it really just has the blacknwhite and the ending going for it but it’s there and I really liked it and the rest of the episodes are worse than this so.
8. Striking vipers
The gay one part 2: it’s really fucking weird this time!! I honestly didn’t get this, I thought the main relationship was oddly stilted and didn’t make sense, I didn’t get how tech made this work or how the situation even happened, but hey it made me think so. I enjoyed trying to puzzle it out and I enjoyed the plot even when I didn’t understand (exept whenever the wives would come onscreen, that was bad vibe) Odd!
10. Rachel and Ashley too
Miley Cyrus be wildin lmao
11. Play test
I had no idea what was happening the entire time, I still dont, and I love it. Kinda. I’m not a big horror fan. I do like the ending, or what I can understand from it. And the main character is a facinating person. Would love to know him on a purely psychological basis.
12. Arkangel
I think I’ve seen this movie before. Not that there’s much wrong with that, it’s still cool enough, but helicopter parent and out of nowhere violence in ending isn’t my fave. The moral dilemma was cool though!
13. Men against fire
I think I’ve seen this movie before. Like the exact same premise and reveal. Which is fine, I just wasn’t interested by our main dude or the other side people, I had no clue what the erotic dream thing was about, and I just. Wasn’t interested. One cool thing: the ending! (Suprised?) I liked the moral dilemma okay? I liked how he signed up, I liked the decision to wipe his memory or jail, I still didn’t like erotic dream thing.
Now the episodes I haven’t seen:
The national anthem- man needs to fuck a pig or princess dies. This one will be fun.
15 million merits (1/2)- i know this is the stripper reality tv show one, seems awesome actually can’t wait
Nosedive (1/2)- this is supposedly one of the greats, it’s a woman losing her shit after social media
Crocodile (1/2)- I saw half and then read the ending. It was boring oops, murder is fun
Be right back (1/2)- another great, I got 25 min in and got tired of waiting. The ending seems okay. Maybe it doesn’t translate well on paper, idk.
White Christmas- I have no clue what this is
The entire history of you- I have no clue
White bear- no clue
Shut up and dance- the school shooter kid gets filmed jacking off? And now is blackmailed to do things. I feel gross. This one will not be fun but interesting.
The Waldo moment- this is satire about Trump before trump. Apparently it’s not good but whatever
Hotaru (first draft is finished)
- Abt two men that are linked through a surgery called “synchronisation”, which basically connects their minds and bodies, so they are forced to work as a team. Ea is an ex-soldier and Cain was a hacker, but due to the fact that they can’t stand each other, they also didn’t share their pasts with each other. To pay someone to unlink them, they become bounty hunters and kidnap the girl Ai and her robot Subaru, which is one of the old military robots, called Hotarus (high technologised, operating, transforming, artificial intelligence, ranger units). They are connected to a human ranger and can transform into what the ranger wants them to transform into.
The Hotaru headquarters exploded 10 years ago and since then the Hotarus are super rare on the black market.
The two men plan on selling both the girl and her robot and let’s just say it all doesn’t work out that well.
The day the world turned white ( first draft is finished, working on it)
To stop global warming some scientists basically caused a new ice age. On the long run this might be very effective but the former countries, now sectors, are hit by strong ice storms, called snow white. To stay safe huge bunkers, the Safe Cities, were built and the local fauna and flora were stored in Arks, to preserve them.
Usually an alarm sounds before all citizens are brought into the SCs, but this time Reese and her best friend Yuki dont manage to get to the vehicles on time and are left behind. They seek shelter in a private bunker outside of town that Yuki found out about recently. Suddenly a group of boys their age knocks on the door, because they were also left behind and followed the girls.
Al, the brothers Eli and Isaac, Gil and Henry become the new bunker-mates and the group has to survive one year in the bunker, until the storm is over.
( I have a blog for this story, just search for The day the world turned white! There are pics and some posts for example abt which patronus/spirit animal the charas have!)
Reese/ Therese Wells
Al/ Alexander Glover
Yuki Sarah Brooke
Eli Green
Isaac Green
Gil de Santos
Henry Summers
The Sun will always rise (The sequel, probably forever unfinished)
About a group of rebels, the Sun Children, that are sworn enemies to the government and its ways to cope with Snow White.
Takes place abt one/two years after Tdtwtw.
Lucy and Aidan are kicked out of an underground organisation that stays in the cities underground system during the storm phases and the two wander around in the snow until Michael and Rin pick them up and bring them to the Sun Children. From looking into the snow directly to maneuver, Lucy has turned snowblind.
Yeah the plot is… not 100% existent.
Characters:
Lucy
Aidan
Michael
Kate
Gil
Bo
Finya
Rin
The XII Games ( First book is finished, i started the second one, unfinished)
A story abt spaceships that let slaves fight in games, if they win a certain number they are “free”. Cassidy makes it and is sold to a women, Trisha, that takes her home onto her home planet, where Cassidy lives a nice life and learns abt her heritage. One year later she meets Tobias again and she and Trisha are brought to a planet that is basically the universes capital. Cassidy has to take a more important role in the uproar of a war, than she ever imagined.( The cast members are mostly human looking but are other, non human, races)
Cass (Cassidy ) E’ Alandril
Tobias
On the slave ship:
Neala
Sam ( Samuel)
On Anterra:
Trisha  Willowrish
Max ( Maxwell)  E’ Alyndral
Lukas
Tori
Khorr
Keri
Quinna
On the Space sparrow:
On Capital Estellar:
Galea ( Galeandrih Fiyur’ Ihal)
Iyal
Wren Fawell
Luasia
Luminor the Shining
Fallen Angels ( A trilogy, one and a half books were finished, reconcepted)
We don’t talk abt this but it was one of my first stories i truly wrote.
Abt fallen angels saving the world or sth. It’s super clichee and just ugh.
The newer version would cancel some charas and make it abt rebalancing Darkness and Light in the worlds. With a more diverse cast and also different magical races. And a way less creepy Adam.
Eve/Evelyn White
Adam
Peregrine/Perry
Ray/Raven
Sera
Colin
Robin
Raphael
Ky/ Kyron
Gabe/Gabriel Frost
Bree/ Gabriella Frost
Indigo ( haven’t written it yet and i don’t know if i ever will, but have drawn stuff. I lowkey wanna see this as a comic)
A story abt a clan of shapeshifters, called Indigos. They are basically human that can shift into dolphins and their clan lives on an island near Australia. Its a modern story and the gang consisting of our local gay dolphin girl Keerie, her cousins Akash and Arjuun (younger brother, older sis), and Ky ( adopted as a child, japanese heritage, a different breed of dolphin idk) lives their “normal lives” with lots of shenenigans and drama.
Some day Keerie falls in love with Navy, the daughter of the owner of the local Aquapark (that the clan suspect also does illegal stuff like snatching wild animals).
Keerie
Arjuun
Akash
Ky
Navy
“Neo Alcatraz” ( reworks of a very old story)
To put it simply, there is a pack of scientists that bionically enhance children and send them off to different countries to basically be local superheroes. Our gang was kinda left behind bc the countries rather took the newer, better versions and here they are now, a bunch of supernatural teens facing the (not so) everyday struggles of life.
Atalanta
Chi
Callie
Lee
Victor/Konrad
Gemsona (just art)
Larimar
- has water powers and her backstory bases on my private/old Squads life story and a lot of me thinking of drawing music videos for her but never doing it
Anthea (art and headcanons)
- my Dnd Oc
The Bender Girls ( art and headcanons)
- basically some Avatar the last Airbender Ocs i made once
Daiyu
Hotaru
Yura
Sündenfall / Sinfall (short story)
A short story i wrote for a competition which is basically every crime series but magic.
Harvey is immortal, he dies and is revived, and solves crimes through it. Paige is basically his assistant and the case they are on is abt a person that kills magical beings and “arranges” the victims fitting to the seven sins.
Ilya Winter
Harvey
Paige
Delphi
Sphinx
The concept charas, that had a different storyline ( they were basically a team of magical beings that would solve cases… rather unconventional.) I considered reworking them into the new Fallen Angels concept:
Ilya
Harvey
Timothy
Worth mentioning:
Project Alpha (script, some art):
The script for a shortfilm i once made with my friends. A school class has a plane crash and only a few students survive, they all embody a different character archetype (the sunshine, the soziopath, the smart one etc.) They try to survive and are put through weird psychological mind experiments like the trolley problem.
To be honest, the concept had and still has a lot of potential and we just hadn’t the opportunities to rly set it the way we anticipated. The shooting day was super fun, though! Still laughing about the outtakes
Astral Chronicles (some art and a few chapters, unfinished)
A story Idea i still like but probably wont write like this because of copyright problems. Its basically a giant Crossover.
Its abt people who have an Astral( mostly a literature figure) they embody when they are dreaming. Their body stays in bed and is vulnerable but the Astral can basivally run around and has special powers. If the Astral dies, the person wakes up but i think when the body dies the person dies too? idk.
The Protagonist embodies Alice and there are also the White Rabbit, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell usw.
There was also some kind of conflict? I dont remember.
If i would ever rewrite it the Astrals would be embodiments of the Zodiac signs.
(does this even fit?)
The Fanfiction thing i wrote abt Peter Pan/ Jack Frost
- like i have tons of short drabbles and the start of a fanfiction and honestly i liked the ideas i had a lot
The ones we better not talk abt:
Part Hunter
Basically there was a being named eternity/aeterna that was shattered into oarts (like in TRC)
and chosen ones have to reclaim them.
The ones that basically die are turned into guardians, like Time and Space ( they had animal companions they were fused with i guess)
Melody is the current part hunter and has a tragic love story, her animal is a tiny horse thing??????
Idk
basically a long story in which i used my dreams as base for the episodes
The nameless story
Actually super interesting but too many charas and a too tiny will to draw action scenes or write them.
Like its based around a super popular game in huge spheres/buildings and the teams wear some anti gravity outfits and shoes and can walk on the walls and shit and can basically attack using elements/illusion/ conjure monsters idk.
And the main team had an opponent team that basically specialized in the 25272 other elements and some day they just fused teams idk.
There also was some prophecy shit abt the anchors, ppl that can control all elements the same???? Idk
Element guardians
- basically four teens that control the elements and do shit together
- at some point i gave all of them dragons
- still thinking abt this sometimes
- The originals:
Luna: the shameless self insert , earth, pony girl, bland blonde i think
Katy: Air, best friend, bubbly
Dan: The jock. Fire
Nick: The emo. Water
At some point Katy became Skye and Dan and Nick got other names but yeah-
Talent Academy
The story thats basically a ripoff of Alice academy. Like a school with hierachie between the students and ranks and shit and different houses and the students have powers IDK
If you read through all of this, bless you for showing interest in my stories ;) And hey, if you want me to rant about any of them, just send me an ask or a message!!!
A, L, V for the fandom asks! (It took me a long time to get back to my PC!) :)
So last week, after work on Friday, there was no power in my house but I wanted to answer THIS fandom asks meme: https://peppersandcats.tumblr.com/post/159824413914/gehayi-a-ships-that-you-currently-like-a-lot but I’m an IDIOT and STILL have not figured out how to answer publicly vs. privately on my tumblr mobile app. I answered privately. So. Trying again from a computer. Apparently I can never answer asks on mobile? Idk. *Sigh.* If someone is willing to test with me sometime and like, ask me things so I can practice answering publicly, that might be worth it lmao.
Thank you, @lovesjustachemical, for going back to your PC to re-ask me. And to send me back my answer. I appreciate it.
Anyway. About this ask. Time for my answers.
Anon asked me about E as well. 😉
A - Ships that you currently like a lot.
Hmm. Currently. Well in terms of fics (and podfics to listen to) that I’ve recently been getting sucked into John&Sherlock in ace!Sherlock fics, especially when John is straight, and I’ve been listening to and in rarer cases reading fics for Harry Potter ships that aren’t even really ships I strongly am behind like Harry/Draco and Remus/Sirius, but the fics make me enjoy the ship more? I’m falling for some of them despite myself. What I’m really into though is like all the exploration of platonic post war/non epilogue compliant but post book 7 bonds Harry would have with people like Ginny if he didn’t work out long term with her, or with Ron/Hermione, or with Teddy Lupin, etc.
Really though I’ve had a lot of thoughts about Bay/Emmett (Switched at Birth), so many shipping feels lately and I hype to make my 4th fanvideo on my channel about them now that the series ended. I’m so disappointed despite myself that they didn’t end up together? I’ve been in love with this ship since 2012, and I don’t want to love them after Emmett was awful most of season 4 but… the rest of the series… I mean…
I still have so many feels for Mario&Angus as a slashy-friendship on the recently cancelled show Code Black. I’m vidding Malaya now for the wlw female characters themed fanvid contest I’m in and I am semi rewatching the show and I love them so much and I live their relationship so much but do I want them to kiss, no, but that might just be related to my general kissing and sex aversion and like really i kinda do want them to, I don’t know, I’m so torn with if I ship them as a real slash ship or not.
And there’s more. There’s always more. After the second most recent episode of The Flash, my Caitlin/Cisco feelings are through the roof, I probably will vid them one day, or write some kind of fic. I just started reading some short fics about them… I love them in a queerplatonic way where they’re so much more than “just friends” yet I don’t really see them as feeling romantic or sexual things toward each other, but at the same time I can enjoy the idea of them as a ship, it’s just… like Mario and Angus. I don’t know. It’s complicated. The problem is with tv shows I would like it if I saw it playing it romantically and with fanvideos that’s great. With fics it’s too much, it’s actual sex scenes and even when it’s just thoughts about sexual desire I’m like ah can’t the world just be asexual for once, like I am?? Idk lol. But yeah idk. I believe it much more with actors in front of me acting it out, maybe, or maybe I just find it so much more easier to accept as reality, and I really don’t get it because writing can be SO GOOD but still, I have these thoughts…
I have a lot of feels for so many ships all the time and this is just what came to my mind right now really quickly. I’m also vidding Clana (Smallville), I added more to an unfinished vid of mine about them earlier this last week, I have plenty of feelings about This Is Us and especially Kate/Toby but also Jack/Rebecca and even the other canon pairings and I had been rooting for a different Kevin ship… I like Lena/Kara and Maggie/Alex when I watch Supergirl this season… idk. Just a lot. Lol.
E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom? If so, what?
https://youtu.be/f7TQjOEbQJI
And maybe https://youtu.be/nRnFx0kn-Gk
And even: https://youtu.be/1NI9RQHrWrY
So many of these things are various degrees of humorous at least?… like also:
https://youtu.be/GOVKJeY0Wcg
Or https://youtu.be/gMvQrRmhJuE
But idk in terms of like, writing Crack fic. Not really. Sorry.
L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves.
This is tricky for me right now. I’m not sure who isn’t a fave for me enough to talk about this. Maybe if you narrowed it down to one fandom I can try… lol. I just have nice things to say about most characters these days so it’s… a bit overwhelming of a question lol??
V - Which character do you relate to most?
I don’t know exactly but I still feel a strong connection to Rory Gilmore lol.. actually I feel parts of me channel Jack Pearson on This is Us pretty well. I see a lot of myself in even like… Harry in Harry Potter but there are distinct differences of course. Idk. I see myself in Hotch on Criminal Minds… Kara on Supergirl and Barry on The Flash seem pretty relatable? I mean it depends on which part of my personality we’re extrapolating out. I’m not as attractive or thin or makeup-wearing as most women (or even most men) in my fandoms, I relate to particular characters in terms of their relationships with their parents what with my dad as one of my best friends in life and my mom being… abusive and mentally ill. I relate to certain characters as asexual seeming. Etc. But the most, idk. Maybe Alexis on Castle is who I relate(d) to the most. A combination of personality and attitude and relationships with her parents. ;) and other small things too lol. I stopped watching Castle around the first ep of the final season but even so.
Black Sails 4.10 Watch Notes
Where do I even begin to talk about this ending, that wraps everything up in a big beautiful tragedy and yet also manages to be not just an ending, but a beginning for so much more to come. If I were as good at talking as Jack is, I’d go on and on, but I’m not so I’ll just say fuck me. I think I’ve cried about three times since watching the finale last night. It’s heart wrenching and hopeful and overwhelming with a sadness that is probably going to linger with me for a good while. I applaud this show, I applaud the creators, the writers, the actors, the production team, the crew and everyone involved in making this for creating a stunning period drama about pirates that is anything but the stereotypical, cheesy or romantic version of piracy we most often see.
The standout moment for me in this episode was definitely the conversation between Flint and Silver in the forest. The two give equally impassioned (and extremely well-acted) speeches and we’re faced with two options that are both with merit and understandable in a way that makes it impossible to decide who is right and who is wrong. How could we judge such a thing when the outcome is so unclear? If the war is stopped, will they have missed their one opportunity to effect real change in world? What’s to say that the world would have changed at all, even if they did win? It’s this kind of complexity to situations that I feel Black Sails has always excelled at. To seemingly lead us to one outcome but then throw us in the other direction.
Speaking of which, the scene in which Jack trying to reach Woodes Rogers is paralleled against Silver trying to reach Madi left me so sure that either Madi would be dead or Jack would die. But neither did, and I think I am just so used to having a main character have to die in a series finale that it was a much-needed pleasant surprise that they both survive. The battle sequence is not the biggest Black Sails has done or the noisiest but it sure didn’t let up on the intensity and stakes, and gave us the final fight between Flint and Billy that had been left unfinished at the Underhill Estate.
Billy’s fate, as he once again is dropped off the side of a ship, is fitting as his own warnings come back to bite him in the behind. He made his choice, and now he has to live on that island surrounded by the bodies and ghosts of men he once knew as brothers. Nothing is more satisfying than Rogers’ outcome though, and this is actually something that I wanted, I preferred this over his death. His death would have been too easy, he deserved something more cruel, more humiliating, and Jack is brilliant as usual and proves that despite being a fearsome pirate, he is a better man than Rogers. A man who keel-hauled another and still failed in breaking him, is now broken in one fell swoop with barely any blood being drawn. It’s narrative heaven for me. On one hand I would have loved to see Eleanor in that courtroom, continuing to haunt him as he rots, but on the other I like the idea that she and her memory have now been set free of him.
As for everyone else, was Silver right to stop the war? John has perhaps paid the heftiest price in ensuring the outcome in which the most people survive. Not a noble cause necessarily, and maybe not without selfish motive, but he did what he did out of love and with good intentions. He knows that Madi and Flint wouldn’t forgive him for taking their cause away from them, he knows that he will have to live with whatever outcome they get, maybe he even knows deep down that Flint is right about him when he says a quiet life will never be enough for him. But as we see a prosperous Nassau in which Jack, Anne, Max, Featherstone and Idelle have survived this world and continue to live in the next, even in secret, I can’t bring myself to view him as a villain for doing what he did - even though we know that he will go on to be remembered in history as the villain of Treasure Island. (I wrote more on my immediate reaction to Silver’s actions here). This is exactly what the finale offers us, happiness tinged with unease and compromise - Steinberg said something similar in an interview, that most of the characters may have gotten the outcome they desired but the way in which they acquired it was not done without a hard sacrifice.
As I rewatch the episode, the theory that Silver did in fact kill Flint is becoming more believable to me (hang on a second)… The biggest clue is in the forest I think. You hear birds, then see Ben and Hands looking to each other before moving off in the direction of Flint and Silver. We don’t hear a gunshot, but the implication is there. Wouldn’t it have taken Silver a lot longer to transport Flint to Florida than the short amount of time it would have taken to get the cache? And it’s not too difficult to believe that Silver could have made up the rest of the story he relays to Madi at the end of the episode. You can poke many holes if you look hard enough. But on the other hand there is also good stack of evidence to suggest that what we see with James at the plantation is actually what happened. Why would Silver take the time to say that he would wait for Flint if only to kill him? Why would Ben and Hands be accompanying Flint in the afterlife? After Flint told Silver last episode that he would never be able to spin a story that would make Madi forgive him, wouldn’t that just be a kick in the face to have that actually happen? Do we really believe that John would have been able to do that?
I personally believe that the similarities between the journey to the plantation and the journey into Hades are purely symbolic. I don’t think that Flint is actually dead and he’s moving into the afterlife, I think it’s more symbolic of this being the ending to his journey. When he passes through those gates, James Flint is dead. Silver pays the ferryman, James McGraw is judged, and he is left to travel into the fields of Elysium, where he is reunited with his true love.
It’s annoyingly open-ended, and in a series that often tells us that stories may have little truth to them, or that the truth matters little, we’re being left to question it.
Did Flint die in that forest? Did he retire with Thomas? Did he drink himself to death in Savannah?
Maybe the writers were getting a bit meta by suggesting to us the viewer, through the voice of Jack, that the story we want to believe is the story that will  survive. Jack’s entire last speech is in itself a wonderful ode to the show, and how we will continue to remember the men and women who lived in this world long after they’re gone and the truth is forgotten. Technically the story is a Treasure Island prequel, but it’s just as fitting to end with some of the real historical figures, standing in front of the most iconic and recognisable symbol of high seas piracy.
MD3 watches Carole & Tuesday season 1 part 1
9:34 PM 9/1/2019 Carole and Tuesday ep1
Watch Shinichiro Watanabe and Studio Bones go fully into revolving a series around music.
I was going to say something about how this entire exposition dump is too blunt, that everything is falling into place too easily. But not only is it the natural thing for these 2 characters to do when they're introducting themselves to each other, but the tone of these scenes are really nice.  Just the thing for someone who's been watching almost exclusively iyashikei for a while now.
I'm surprised they're using actual terms like "Google" and "INstagram".  I wonder if there's a real Instagram account named "carole_and_tuesday".  Well, if Netflix didn't, the fanbase will have.
I like that the episode begins with narration explaining that Carole and Tuesday will become famous musicians.  Because if the tension of the episode/series is based on already knowing their ending of their story, then that means, it won't hurt me to have already seen some spoiler scenes from later in the series.  ^-^
That ending theme really sounds like a Cyndi Lauper or at least a 1980's song, with all that synthesizer.  Tuesday was talking about her earlier in the episode.  Do I have to go research Lauper to understand future references?
9:59 PM 9/1/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep2.
Is there a setting on Netflix that automatically lets me always see the ending and opening credits?  I just don't feel complete when those opening songs and ending themes get skipped.  And often, I can't scramble for the remote in time to ensure I get to watch the credits.  I'm pretty sure there's science behind the benefits of staying for credits and easing back into the next episode with an opening song.  I mean, that whole Interest Curve theory works pretty well for overall plots, scenes, videogame rising tension, Star Wars, Haikyuu, etc.  I need that cool-down after a story for an optimal experience.  That's why I always stayed in movie theaters during credits, even before the MCU.
I forgot to note during ep1, but I like the future-ized version of vocal synthesizers liek Hatsune Miku, and there's this whole company that has had exclusively virtual/artifical singers for its entire successful history so far.  Did that Tao guy mention the name of his company?
I also liked that Angela's mom is going to represent that Stage Mom archetype and how that's destructive and contributes to the cliche of "child actors" ending up badly.  If we're going to have a series about the entertainment business, it's good to at least mention that.
Oh yeah...Did Carole's uni-wheel skateboard exist before the real life version that's been advertised on YouTube lately?
Something tells me Tao's business is going to be a better example of the highly manufactured music process, than Black Mirror's "Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too".   These chats that Carole and Tuesday have, while her owl gets sleepy, are realy soothing.  It's reminds me of iyashikei genre's tone.  And Carole's seiyuu has a soothing voice that's also more interesting that just the typical bishoujo voice.
So the title is based on Bruce Springsteen's song.
Carole wants to try a grand piano, and I was thinking of those pianos inside shopping malls.  But would malls even still exist in the future?  LOL  And why is there a piano in a place called "Mars Immigration Memorial Hall"?  Sounds like a federal administrative building.  ...Except for the "Memorial" part.  Yeah, what would a building like that be for?  Maybe a piano will make sense there when I see it.
DJ Ertegun is getting a pretty big introduction.  Ok, I'm curious.  Did he produce that talent show I've seen spoiler clips of?
I feel kind of bad for Carole's security guard friend, but I like that one of the people in charge of the venue is cool with them just using the piano.  LOL
Did I mention yet that I really like the music in this series?  The songs I've seen in spoiler clips, anyway.
LOL  omg Roddy recorded them running from the security guard too.  LOL  ^o^!
omg and he totally uploaded it.  LOL
I'd be funny if anyone, not just people with more computer experience, but I mean idiots like me, could so easily use facial recognition software, find someone's Instagram, and just use the geotagging to find anyone.
I know it's cliche for the has-been agent/manager/scout to find a new talent and it gets him out of his self-destructive patterns, but it's still nice.  I'm glad to see Gus not drinking his liver to death and picking fights.
I really should stop after ep2, but I'm really curious to see how they'll deal with a manager out of no where.
10:43 PM 9/1/2019
Carole & tuesday ep3
Tuesday's brother sounds really familiar.  I know that the bishonen/biseinen voice is a common archetype, but still.  Is that Takahiro Sakarai?  He voices Cloud in Final Fantasy VII.  Or maybe...No.  Not deep enough for Hikaru Midorikawa.  That's just wishful thinking for my old favorite.
I feel bad for Tuesday's brother.  I don't know how, but there's a sense that he feels bad about how their mom treats her.  Maybe it's camera lingering on his reponses to her, like he's hesitating to go along with her commands.  Maybe that kind of direction implies he questions her and is reluctant to follow.  Well, if not, then that completely askewed fireplace behind him in this ep's early scene definitely is saying something.
It's really funny how this pizzeria scene used reading Wikipedia as not just exposition but showing everyone's funny reactions.  Just like when people read a real Wiki!  LOL  I hope more movies do this kind of integration of believable internet use.
"Teen Vogue"?
It's funny now durian has become the popular flavor.
Is the currency "oolongs"?  LOL  That's really close to "woolongs" from Cowbow Bebop.  I wonder why they didn't go ahead and use "woolongs" as a direct reference.
Ok.  This laundromat scene and a random stranger getting involved in their unfinished song, is pretty endearing.  ^____^
I just realized that everyone is walking around with these AI pets, like the All-Mates from Dramatical Murder.
It's the partially-shredded Banksy!  LOL
I thought he expected them to do a nude drawing of him or something.  Now does he think they're athletic trainers?  ...Groupies.  He thinks they're groupies.  Ok.  That was a lot of weird misdirect.  But I guess that confusion is teh point of this scene.  LOL
She's actually burning her sheet music?!  I'm pretyt sure Ertegun was being metaphorical.  So are they portraying Tuesday as the oblivous literal type?  Or was she trying to activate the fire sprinklers to get back at his insults?
They're pretty lucky that everyone takes their shenanigans well.
This "running again" running gag is starting to grow on me.
So Ertegun mentioned, like Tao, that he also constructs his music from computer-analyzed trends.  So is this the theme of this series?  Music by computer calculations vs music by humans?
They're funny.  ^____^  Turning back at Ertegun's house just to yell at him without him even hearing.  I wonder if they're going to go the old fashioned route of gigs at bars, like Gus was talking about.
11:12 PM 9/1/2019
Maybe I can watch ep 4 without taking so many notes.  I just want to watch it.
11:13 PM 9/1/2019
Carole & tuesday ep4
Good gobs, this series is much harder to stop watching than Violet Evergarden.  Proably because Violet Evergarden was a cry fest and that's easier to drop.  I can't do that much crying all the time!  At least Carole & Tuesday is soothing and fun.
Roddy is still there. LOL
Isnt' there something wrong with it if it's only 19 oolongs?
Ziggy likes Tuesday now.  ^u^
Ooh, poor Ziggy.
Heh.  Maybe I don't actually want to stop writing reactions.  ^^;;;
This whole episode is uneasy.  You know they're not actually going to be able to make this crazy music video.  That direction AI robot is going to turn out to be worthless.  And in any case, a big action music video doesn't fit their type of songs.  It's like going up the roller coaster, waiting for the fall, when you don't liek roller coasters!  x~x!  Ok.  After this episode, I'll call this binge a night.
This montage of them trying on clothes woudl be a good music video for them.
I wonder why they didn't start with giving the robot budget restrictions or any kind of limitations first, before it told them what was possible.
I really like that Marie is just so casually asking these young people if they have boyfriends or girlfriends. You never see that in anime!!!!!!!!!!! ;u;  It's usually a big deal and used for comedy because of the heteronormative expectations!!!!!  but here, she's just being normal about it!  ;U;!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!
I don't collect Gunpla, but I call figure collection abuse!  lol
Why is this robot talkign out loud to itself?
Dude, the bartender is super stressed, watching Gus and Marie.  Do they have a history of big arguments that could wreck his bar?  O_o???
Just say "congratulations" if you're going to burst in like that.  LOL  Takes the edge off your eavesdropping.  LOL
"I hope you're happy this time."  Awwwwwwwwwwwwww~  That's so sweet.  ;u;
Who's that random dancer in the video? LOL
Wait a sec...The car was blown up?!?
Where is the AI scammer getting returned to?
Ok, that was funny at the end.  Maybe I can stick around for another episode.  ^^;
11:42 PM 9/1/2019
I'm going to switch to dub, so I can get some stuff done in these 20 minutes before 12am.  o~o;
11:46 PM 9/1/2019
Carole & tuesday ep5
Wow.  Roddy's dub actor is Michael Sinterniklaas?  ...Or maybe Yuri Lowenthal? ...Hm...  Then again, there are so many new dub actors that I often find myself confusing older A-listers I'm familiar with.  ^^;
Wait.  The dub Tao said "woolongs"!  So it's a direct reference to Cowbow Bebop in the dub!
"You're not as cool as you used to be"?  Really?  *That* cliche?  Listen, I've liked a lot of tropes used in this series so far, but that was mean and hackneyed.
Only 1 song?  Good.  They only have like 3 songs.
So the Martian environment caused Angela's mom to become androgenous?  Is that why the media lost interest in her as a child actor, once she hit her 20's?  It always creeps me out how when these child actors turn 18/legal, everyone give this sense like they're leering at him in anticipation.  I guess once Angela's mom wasn't able to transition from child actress to "specifically-female sex pot" they gave up on her career.  That's kind of weird, huh?  When child actresses get old enough, as soon as they're legal, everyone expects them to sell sex with their image, even when they just _barely_ became old enough.  I don't pay enough attention to non-geeky entertainment media, but are male child actors expected to become sex symbols as soon as they turn 18 too?  That's kinda sad.
Well, Roddy explaining to Beth why likes their music, explains why he's sticking around.
How did Tuesday's luggage find her?  ^.^
I like how cool Carole's landlord and Tuesday's brother are being about leaving them alone to continue pursuring music.
12:16 AM 9/2/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep6
It's funny how they're all hanging out at Carole's place all the time now.
Well, that Skip guy was pretty cool.
Oh~  Skip was talking about Crystal forgetting the type of music she originally wanted to play.  I thought he was talking about himself or something.  First time I saw this clip of him talking to Crystal, he said "it's your song".  I thought that meant he wrote it for her.  But now hearing the same line dubbed, I finally understood it means that Cyrstal wrote this song and it was her original sound, that she's forgotten now that she plays music that sounds more like manufactured pop.
Is that why they call alcohol "liquid courage"?  ^^;;;;;;;;;
Oh, they really did write a faster song just for this festival?  No, wait.  This is that laundromat song.  ^_^
Wow.  They're really throwing stuff at them while they play.  I feel like I've seen this portrayed only once before in an idol series, but then it had that stereotypical "somoene stands up for the protagonists" moment.  It's kind of refreshing for this more realistic portrayal, then the encouragement come in a more practical way.
Aw, Crystal is giving them a pep talk.  There are so many nice mentor figures at this festival.  ;u;
12:37 AM 9/2/2019
I should stop here and go to bed.  ^^;
It occurrs to me that I keep expecting an episode preview, full of joke narration, like you usually hear after an ending theme.  LOL  I guess Netflix really does expect you to binge everything.  ^^;;;  No need for previews and omake, huh?
Ok.  I'll save ep7 for tomrrow.
Good series.  ^____^
5:03 PM 9/2/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep7
I'm so glad all these video essays on YouTube have been teaching me to pay more attention.  Or else I wouldn't have noticed how round-table Gus/Carole&Tuesday/Roddy are together, in contrast to Tao/Angela/Angela's mom.
Angela *better* have her own category.  I can't imagine having American Idol and suddenly back-in-the-day Miley Cyrus show up as just a regular contestant.  C'mon.
I know I sound like an old fogey, but I really like when modern media shows people streaming their life.  Because it's actually happening, and there was such a long time when movies/shows would go to lengths to not show technology even when it's become a daily part of life, just for fear of free product placement.  Seeing Pyotr streaming himself and everyone say he's "Instagram famous" may make this bit dated in 10-20 years, but I feel like it's a better representation of now, vs just avoiding portraying it all together.
Is that native Maritan at the auditions a reference to Space Channel 5?  LOL  Naw~  LOL
"I won't do things like that anymore. It happened because of the medicine's side effects.  I'm stable now."  Did this just get even darker than "stage mom" drama?  o~o!
Ok.  Physical abuse.  As long as it doesn't go into incest sexual abuse territory, I think I can handle this character development.
Also, Angela's mom looks like she used to be her dad?  That photo looked very male-presenting.  I thought she was her mom, who just looked/sounded "manish" because of the androgenous effects of the Martian environment?
I really like how this whole cast works together.  It's really sweet and warm.  I know that this scene of Carole, Tuesday, and Gus running into Roddy are supposed to portray that but in a bittersweet way, like Tuesday is contemplating all of this warmth going away if her identity is discovered through the Mars Brightest audition, but let me just enjoy it as a "slice of life" moment for now.  ^-^
Oh, Tuesday was sad about not knowing much about Carole's background.  Wow, I feel like there was only 1 moment for that setup. I totally thought she was afraid of this found family of hers being taken away when her identity is revealed.  Ah, well.  Let's see where this goes.
Carole *is* cool and to be envied.  ^_^
Time for a song!  I thought that if Tuesday was going to keep feeling so sad, they'd have to vent it in a song.  lol
I like how just random people get involved with Carole & Tuesday's lives.  I just watched a spoiler clip of one of their future concerts and looking at the background "finger snappers" I thought they totally found those guys on the street and asked them to snap their fingers for their song.  LOL  But isnt' this guy teaching them special handshakes the same guy from the laundromat?  o.o?  That was funny.  LOL
Ah, so this is about Tuesday learning to be "bold" like Carole.
Dog race betting!?  ;o;
Ack.  TV crews.
Oh, this is about Tuesday not needing the sunglasses anymore.
5:43 PM 9/2/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep8
The heck?  That's a lot of doing BEOFRE asking!  Even if it's 2 seconds late, that's too late!  o~o!
Cybelle is always liking their Instagram posts.  lol  I was just reading this [https://twitter.com/_le_hibou/status/1168178112007458818] "To people who follow artists: It may not be obvious but artists do notice followers who regularly interact or reply to their art!! I don’t always know the proper way to respond but I do know who all my “regulars” are if you will lol"  Reminds me that I recently had someone who often likes my IG posts, come meet me in real life and have so many expectations...Now I keep worrying about having said all the wrong things, just being a disappointment, and not having helped enough.  @_@;
That's mean, Gus.  Don't just assume Angela is going to embarass herself.  Even if we didn't have all these background scenes of her singing well, don't say junk like that.  ~.~;
Ah, when death metal becomes the classical music of old fogeys...  ^____^
"I feel like I've gained their approval to exist."  Sheesh.  To think someone ouwl dsay it so directly and so casually.  o_O
When I first saw this YouTube clip of Pyotr performing I couldn't stop marvelling how this seems like it's completely hand-drawn.  Remember when all the idols shows started to just CGI all the performances and it looked horrible.  Like compare UtaPri's first season vs 3rd.  Or the earlier Idolmasters vs the recent ones.  It's amazing to me that anyone is fully hand-animating this anymore.
Ok.  I'll admit.  I've been watching "Bulldog Anthem" repeatedly even before starting to watch this series.  I just like opera mixed with modern music, ok.
Was Gus the one squeezing his hand nervously when the announcer mentioned that Carole & Tuesday don't use AI to compose their songs?
I thought it was weird to choose between different music genres represented by each contestant.  Like I love death metal, and fushion music, and pop is fun too.  But I love that whole acoustic singer-songwriter genre.  ^_________^
It's weird that they're judging OG Bulldog on his identity lies, vs his singing.  Is that how these music audition songs go?  I don't really watch those.  I mean, it's off-putting after he called everyone in the audience/judges fake and made up so many outrageous things about his background, but his song was still nice.
But maybe that's the contrast represented between OG Bulldog vs Carole & Tuesday.  Bulldog was building this whole identity/persona to sell along with his music.  Whereas even the judge noted how Carole & Tuesday were presenting their music in and of itself alone.  I guess that was the point.
Maybe it's been a long time since I watched battle anime or the martial arts genre, or Pokemon, but do rival always start introducing themselves to the protagonists by telling them they hate them?  The latest rival I remember being really nasty about their introductions was Yuri Plizetsky from Yuri on Ice.  I guess I'm too accustomed to the old fashioned formalities of martial arts anime, where you send a letter of challenge and formally show your opponent respect, even if it annoys you that they offer you genuine challenge.  In fact, it's because martial artist characters usually recognize the importance of being challenged, that they revere their worthy opponents and recognizing someone as a "rival" was always a sacred thing.  Even rival who hated each other like Ryouga and Ranma are still very respectful towards each other.
And talk about Shadow projecting.  If anyone is the "amatures who get carried away with themselves" it's definitely Angela.  I mean, she can sing, but everyone recognizes her as a model and is calling her a music amature.
6:25 PM 9/2/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep9
Cybelle's really storng on the stalker vibes.
omg Did the guest judge just get killed?
Did Cybelle just bite Tuesday?????  O~O!!  This is getting into extra weird levels of stalker!  ;o;
I'd feel kind of hyprocritical if I don't admit that Angela's songs are nice.  Even though I said that OG Bulldog's background doesn't effect the quality of his song, knowing how nasty Angela has been for most of this series has infused watching her performances with bitterness.  But her songs are nice, in and of themselves.
I'm glad Tuesday was able to reject Cybelle so soon.  And I'm glad Cybelle lost, so her creepiness can exit the series sooner.  But I'm afraid a violent stalker subplot is going to start.  o~o!
6:49 PM 9/2/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep10
Ertegund judging Carole & Tuesday.  I should have seen that coming.
Is this what they call "emotional blackmail"?  When someone threatens to suicide or hurt themselves if some girl doesn't like them?  Notebook stuff?
So I didn't react much on ep10 because I was trying to multi-task.  I even tried switching to dub.  But I'm switching back to sub for ep11.
7:54 PM 9/2/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep11.
I guess Angela is doing the sleuthing in the background for this ep.
These pre-song interviews are fine in fiction, but I can't believe if they do it right before in an actual show.  Then again, reality TV really over-inflates drama where ever they can.  ~.~;
I want to get an album of Carole & Tuesday and listen to it before I sleep.  ^___^
Ertegun taking cheap shots.  Tuesday DID preform.
I can't help but deflate the stakes in this Mars Brightest arc since Carole & Tuesday started so low, that any kind of exposure seems fine.  And I like lower stakes for an iyashikei-like tone.  Anyway, look how hyper stressed all the overly ambitious characters are, who absolutely have to win or lose everything.  I'm fine with middle stakes.
I like that Catherine stated her judgement as "If you asked me who I'd want to hear again...".  That's an interesting factor.
Again, I'm glad Carole & Tuesday keep running into people who are just cool with all the craziness that follows them.  Pyotr could become a nice side character.  And apparently, his stakes were also low enough that all he really wanted was some exposure.  He's already IG famous anyway.
Are they really going to leave the crime pinned on Angela's poor manager?
So much for low stakes and low ambition.
At least this show always resolves its issues quickly.  So far.
Blocking is really nice in this scene.  Them sitting on opposite sides of this weird bench, really makes them seem far apart.  Appropriate.  Gotta remember this technique.
Dude, is Carole going to get a bad injury too?  o_o
Oh, yeah, she still didn't give Teusday her birthday gift.
8:27 PM 9/2/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep12
Well, I'm looking forward to the last-minute escape in a week, to get to Mars Brightest.
Always running with Carole.  LOL
"I should have brought her back no matter what she thought."  Hang on, Gus.  That should be "I should have tried to bring her back and ask her again what she thought."
I'm glad Tuesday's brother Spencer is cool.
Already sent the instruments to the venue?  Gonna be cutting it close, huh?  ^o^
That's packing a lot of "endearing backstory motivation" into one scene for a so-far less palatable character.  I guess this really is the last episode of this season.  Is there a 2nd season of Carole & Tuesday?
MOre cool random people they meet on the street.  LOL
Oh wow.  Angela's manager came back.  Aw.  Forgiveness is wholesome.  ^______^
I'm glad they're not driven by ambition.  That's fine for martial arts anime and battle anime, where winning represents something about honing your skill.  But I think Carole & Tuesday are more about just having the chance to sing and enjoy music.
It's like, "You can have all the high-production concerts and collaborations with Ertegund.  Carole & Tuesday are here to play good music."
Even got that jerk Ertegund to cry, huh? LOL
Wait a sec.  Does Netflix USA not have season 2 up yet.  Because I've seen clips on YouTube that weren't in this season.  Wow.  I heard about Netflix withholding episodes but this is just weird...Or maybe that was nother streaming service?
I guess that's it.  I'll go re-watch the spoiler clips on YouTube then.
9:03 PM 9/2/2019
https://trinikid.com/carole-tuesday-plot-netflix-release-date-and-more
"Flying Dog" was involved with Carole & Tuesday?!  They worked on my favorite Sengoku Basara 2009 series!  *O*!
Ok.  So season 1 was split into 2 parts.  And these 12 eps I just watched were part 1 of season 1.  And there's a part 2 of season 1 to come.  And season 2 is teh one that's iffy about production.
9:08 PM 9/2/2019
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carole_%26_Tuesday
Wait a sec.  Ertegun is freaking Mamoru Miyano?!  LOL!!!!!!!!!!  Well, after Tamaki Suoh I'm convinced he does "over dramatic self-agrandizing" characters well.  LOL  Isn't the manager of Zombieland Saga like that too?
Roddy is freaking Miyu Irino?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  *O*  I guess he finished his hiatus abroad.  O.o  Wait!  That means whenever there's a Ertegun/Roddy scene, it's Riku and Sora together again!  LOL
Megumi Hayashibara is in this series too?!?!  *u*
Oh, Watanabe is the supervising director with someone else doing the usual directing?
Looks like season 1 part 2 is still airing in Japan. Netlflix is probably going to wait until the season is done before they send it to Bang Zoom Entertainment for dubbing, AND THEN it'll be on Netflix.
