Fourth MLM Ship Bracket Propaganda Submissions

Below you will find all of the submitted and approved ships for the Fourth MLM Ship Bracket Tournament along with the form to submit further propaganda at the bottom

This is another opportunity to submit propaganda for your favorite ships. Wether you were unable to submit propaganda for them in the initial form or you spot your favorite ship who has no propaganda submitted. Ships with a strikethrough have propaganda submitted, I will continue to update this post as propaganda is submitted. I will accept further propaganda for ships with already submitted propaganda but please prioritize those with out.

The goal is to have propaganda for all ships but I understand that may not be possible. Therefore I will be leaving the form open for a few weeks to see if we receive propaganda for at least half the ships.

just went through your jaime murray tag (truly god has favourites. holy fuck) and uhhh btvs warehous 13 au?? my guy please tell me anything and everything you can

Okay this AU DID rip hard like ngl. I wrote it back when I was deep in an urban fantasy phase so it was just this hodgepodge of stuff I loved. The magic system was part Dragon Age, part Dresden Files. The vamps were part Buffy, part VTMB.

The setup was that Myka was the Slayer, going to college in Univille. Artie was her watcher, Claudia was a young witch (The Willow, if you will) and Pete was the unpowered best friend/Xander.

Artie and MacPherson were like co-watchers for Carol and in the course of that work (I think it was some kind of heroic sacrifice or something) he gets turned into a vampire and Carol can't bring herself to stake him. Artie's white whale.

HG's deal is that she was the Slayer back in the 1800s when Christina gets killed bc HG's role has her in the cross fire. HG then goes off the deep end, finds the powerful vampire responsible, forces him to turn her and then eats him (nakedly, shamelessly, joyfully ripping off the Tremere clan from VTMB). Cue a reign of terror that lasts years before she abruptly goes silent. Instead of being bronzed, she enters torpor and stays like that til MacPherson wakes her up. She is, of course, the Angel of the AU. A little more morally ambiguous though.

It was supposed to proceed from there - HG meets Myka in a bookstore and they have a little meetcute. There's flirting and feelings before it's revealed that HG is the mythic vampire the council is freaking out about.

Ultimately the project died MOSTLY bc I couldn't quite figure out how to translate the s2 plot for total world destruction quite satisfyingly enough to this universe. And I think I lacked a little confidence wrt character voice. But god it was fun to write. Tragic, sexy vampire Helena lives rent free in my head forever as does Slayer Who Should Know Better Myka.

Jaime looked at the dragon lady, his hands bound with rope as Myrcella was held back by greyworm but not tied up like Jaime. She was only a young child so they knew to treat her gently and with respect, knowing that Daenerys would want that. “My queen… we captured the king slayer and his daughter, returning back to kings landing” greyworm spoke when they saw her approach. Jaime stared at the woman, tugging around since all he wanted was Myrcella to be safe. She had already been through so much so to see her hurt would be his last straw.

“Daenerys you can keep me prisoner but please let her go. She doesn’t deserve to be help captive all over again” he whispered out, almost begging for her to be protected. Myrcellas eyes were teary as she looked at the silver haired woman, the girl shaking and scared since there were so many guards around which panicked her. “She’s scared, please let her go, she doesn’t deserve this. It’s me you want, not her” he whispered softly and frowned, just protecting his daughter like any good father would.

Can anyone else relate to this:

So after finishing episode 6 of House of The Dragon, one of my friends made a comment about how they were finding the series boring or not interesting as compared to Game of Thrones.

So I was thinking about it more, and I kind of feel the same way, in terms of, I can’t wait for the next episode, but as each episode passes it’s not as exciting and I think I figured out why, and want to know if anyone else can relate or feels the same way.

So I think it’s to do with the fact of how much time is passing so quickly in every episode that it seems like every episode there is a new actor playing a character we have already seen on screen. For example, the fact that it’s only episode 6, and a time jump of at least 12-13 years has passed already in the whole series.

Due to so much time passing in such a small period of time, I feel like it’s really hard to connect to any of the characters because their faces are constantly changing and you can’t connect the character to a face. I think this is also why Daemon is more popular, because let’s be honest, in the series he’s a bit of a dick, yet everyone loves him, and besides him and Viserys, no one else has kept the same face throughout the series (also Corlys and Rhaneys but you get my point).

If you think about it, Aegon was introduced in episode 3 I think? As a baby, and just 3 episodes later he is a teen kind of shifting to adult, yet his character has only had a couple of lines spoken, Rhaenyra’s kids have just been introduced, Aemond too, and from the trailer it seems that the kids won’t be kids for too much longer, if not in the next episode. You can see in the trailer that Aemond is seen without his eye fully grown, which leads me to suspect that his ageing is coming soon.

The series just seems very rushed and fast paced that everything is kind of flying over my head. So personally I’m finding it hard to relate or connect with any of the characters, I was starting to connect with Rhae and Milly’s performance but then obviously, more time passed and (Emma is great don’t get me wrong) now she’s changed and she seems so much different now that she’s grown up a lot, and because we haven’t been able to see that process it’s hard to understand what’s happened in the last 9-10 years that was skipped.

Which is a factor as to why game of thrones did so well. Each character had such unique and completely different story lines with so many characters as well, but you understood each characters journey by the end, some of their journeys even redeemed their character.

I found that with Jaime, in the first couple of seasons he was a dick, arrogant, stuck up, etc. however as the seasons went by, you understood that he never had true approval from his father, he defended Brienne, he explained the King Slayers true story, his bond with Tyrion, he became much more enjoyable to watch on screen.

With Ned Stark, just by the end of season 1 so many people were distraught with his sudden death, even though he didn’t appear that many times but his character connected to audiences. This goes for Joffrey as well, at the beginning he seemed to be a bit of a mommy’s boy but seemed like a good man, until you find out he’s not and he becomes one of the most hated men in the whole series, which is done by following his journey.

I find that in House of the dragon they skip a lot of story arch’s that could be played out longer but are just being skipped over completely.

Side note: I feel like it would have maybe been better if they had not assumed that people watching HOTD came from GOT, because let’s be honest, if they started the whole thing with HOTD, they would’ve never been able to do as well as what they are because no one would watch it, but because of the success of Game Of Thrones, we all already understand how stuff works, but it feels like a spin off, which may have been the point, but I feel like they shoudve introduced the life style more. I don’t know how to convey this in words so that will have to do lol.

But yeah, please no one come for me, lol, I just had to get it out there, maybe some of you feel the same, maybe you feel the complete opposite, but let me know your thoughts ☺️

Redemption

Chapter 3: Dragonstone

Summary: Daenerys has taken her army to the castle she was born. But now her newly found cousin is her prisoner until she can determine what the truth is.

Notes: Thank you for being patient. My executive disfunction has been such a whore lately. I don't even have the ability to write my book lately.

Hopefully, this was worth the wait.

There was no window, no view, no light beyond the torch. It wasn’t in their ancestor’s nature to give their prisoners anything except for warmth. Not that was something that could be helped. Dragonstone was close enough to the Dragon Mont that the volcano's lava kept all the nearby lands warm. As the group walked along the bridge to the keep, it was where Rayn watched Daenerys’ dragons disappear into to nest. Perhaps they would lay a clutch or two of eggs before the war was over.

Rayn leaned against the warm walls and was reminded of Winterfell. Not that she had ever gone herself, but she did remember Rhaegar speaking of the keep. Mentioning how he wished to visit one day. She always chalked it up to Rhaegar wanting to be a better king than his father. But after the rebellion started, she got her true answer.

The door to her cell creaked open and she was greeted by the sight of her cousin and her Hand, Tyrion. No doubt, next to the door was an Unsullied, Dothraki rider, or even one of the knights Daenerys had gathered.

But to her surprise, no one else came in. In fact, Tyrion closed the door on Daenerys’ command. Her cousin then turned to her with a stern look.

“You will tell me everything you know. No more secrets.”

Rayn sighed. “Seven hells. Of course, Your Grace. But I cannot promise it will be information you will be happy to hear.”

“I will be the judge of that.”

So Rayn started with her childhood in Volantis, her parents, her only sibling who was fed stories about the Blackfyre rebellion by their father, how her brother chased after her once he realized she wouldn’t marry him willingly as were per the Valyrian custom, and how Varys found her as she tried to hide amongst his little birds.

“Your brother chased you down to marry you?” Tyrion raised his eyebrows.

“Sounds like something Viserys would have done,” Daenerys muttered. “Had he not sold me to Drogo.”

Rayn looked at Tyrion, “do not act ignorant to the customs that are a part of mine and your queen’s culture. I remember you were obsessed with dragons enough you could have been a Targaryen. You, as well as everyone in Westeros, know Targaryens intermarry. But my brother…he can seem charming to those who don’t know him-”

“But the truth cannot be hidden from family,” Daenerys finished. “And what of the King’s Slayer?”

Rayn wrinkled her nose. “So, the rumors I heard in Braavos were true. Jaime did kill the Mad King.”

Daenerys sighed. “He was a sworn King’s Guard. He broke his vow.”

Rayn nodded her head. “He did. There are few crimes the gods hold in contempt such as kin slaying, murder, and broken vows. But I do know the gods may overlook that in favor of a great deed.”

“And what deed would that be?”

“Saving the lives of nearly a million people, Your Grace. It is no secret what type of king your father became after his imprisonment. He burned people alive with wildfyre in the throne room and there were rumors of him assaulting women, other than his queen. He kept pyromancers in the Red Keep. I have no doubt he would have burned all of King’s Landing down if given the chance.”

Daenerys sighed. “I know. My father was an evil man. Still, it is hard to hear that a man sworn to protect him murdered him at his most vulnerable.”

Rayn snorted. “I knew your father. The only time he was vulnerable was when he was kidnapped and held at Duskendale. And for that story, you will have to ask Ser Selmy. My understanding is he was the one who saved your father.”

She rested her head back against the warm cell wall, looking up at the ceiling.

“Your brother should have been king. He would have been a good and just king. But oh, how he lost it all.”

“By running off with Lyanna Stark?”

Rayn turned her head to look at her cousin. “Yes, for a start. If the two of them had just done everything publicly. Or left each other alone. Yes, from what I understand from the rumors of the Tourney at Harrenhal, the two seemed drawn to each other. It is unclear if Rhaegar took her as a second wife - which would have brought down the wrath of the Faith on them - or annulled his marriage to Ellia - which would have alienated Dorne - or, even worse, took her virtue without marriage.”

Tyrion cleared his throat, interrupting Rayn. “Lyanna, sadly, died in Dorne shortly after Rhaegar died. There is no way to prove which story is correct.”

Rayn nodded her head. “Except one way. There is no story as to how she died. I’m sure many, including King Robert, believed Rhaegar killed her.”

“But?” Daenerys raised her eyebrows.

“But…while I have no proof and Lord Eddard isn’t alive to speak one way or the other, it is rather odd he came back from the war with his sister’s body and a baby. A baby he claimed to be his bastard.”

Tyrion looked up at Daenerys and then over at Rayn. “What is so odd about that?”

“About a lord bringing his bastard to come to live in his keep? Even one as honorable as Lord Eddard would not do such a thing. It would be considered a huge insult to the noble house he married before the war.”

“Are you saying the child was Lyanna’s?”

“I’m saying, it is not unusual for women to die in childbirth. And having known Rhaegar myself, I find it very hard to believe he kidnapped and killed the woman of a noble house when he was on the verge of overthrowing his father with the support of almost every kingdom in Westeros.”

In the war room, Daenerys stood at the top of the map, waiting for her counsel to respond to the story she and Tyrion just reported.

Selmy was the first one to break the silence. “She may be correct, Your Grace.”

Daenerys clenched her jaw. She did not want to hear there was another claim to the Iron Throne. “So what do we do?”

Tyrion sighed. “Nothing, Your Grace.”

“Nothing?!”

Jorah spoke up, “it is clear that this Jon Snow doesn’t know his heritage if this even is his heritage. I would advise inviting him to Dragonstone and see for yourself if he is a threat.”

Daenerys paced by the window, unsure how to feel about this possible third Targaryen. The path to the Iron Throne that had seemed so clear back in Mereen, was now littered with other claimants. A thought she had never considered as the Last Dragon.

The seconds turned into minutes until finally….

“Send a raven to Winterfell. I wish to meet this Jon Snow. If there is someone attacking the Stormlands posing as my dead nephew, I need to know who will fight with or against me.”
