hazel drawing her friends

she doesn't draw leo's face bc she's drawn that same face before and its very weird for her but she'll draw faraway shots of him steering the ship like an 18th century sea captain

she drew festus too, asleep but still frightening

piper's self conscious about being drawn but hazel loves her and loves how she looks and spends a lot of time trying to capture what makes piper so magnetic

she herself is kind of self conscious about drawing reyna or annabeth but she draws them in each other's clothes - reyna in jorts, annabeth in a toga and cape - and they both think its funny as hell

hazel draws reyna's dogs too. they pose for her and everything.

obviously arion is her top model

she draws frank all the time and it makes him blush. she'll draw frank drinking juice and caption it "frank drinking juice"

she drew frank in a world war one uniform for childhood crush reasons but felt like something was missing so she drew him in a plane that was about to crash and ended up getting super invested in the plane detail so its a very dramatic drawing. frank was like "uuhhh why am i getting shot down?" and she was like "clearly you don't understand art???"

she draws nico and gives him better hair bc she's nice

she also gives him a cool vintage car in some pictures. or a vespa.

she won't do a self-portrait

she draws percy destroying the glacier, like if the son of neptune cover was drawn by a non-professional artist.

she had one drawing of jason based on the day that she met him at camp jupiter. it was not a good day for her bc she was newly resurrected and very scared. it is a very good technical drawing of jason, and he looks powerful and strong, but he has intense eyes with no expression behind them and there is a very unnerving feeling to the drawing itself.

to piper and leo it reminds them a little of when jason had amnesia, but this is a drawing of him before that, which is not quite accurate to how hazel perceived him or to how he really was. its probably hazel's best work but it makes her and everyone a little uncomfortable.

Heroes of Olympus AU where everything is the same except Leo and Jason are pining for each other throughout all of TLH and Jason and Piper end up breaking up in the middle of TLH and then mid-beginning of MoA Leo and Jason start dating. everything else is the same, with little details changed to fit the valgrace canon in place of jiper/jasper. thoughts?

i have a theory that demigod genes are kinda like autism in that they trickle down to younger siblings (like it's more likely for the younger siblings of an autistic kid to be on the spectrum than those who were born before). i'm not saying younger, mortal siblings of demigods could become demigods themselves, of course, but more that there's some sort of tie or pull there to that godly side, despite having no real connection to the god who gave their sibling half their genetic code

exhibit a: jason feels tied to the greeks to the point of an identity crisis

exhibit b: estelle's poseidon eyes.

rough concept doodles for my latest au musings (which will hopefully have a fic. im gonna try.). current title for it is “RETCON”

au premise: the gang becomes self-aware of how messed up their timeline is and seeks out the help of Chronos, primordial god of time, to set things right. The characters working with Chronos get a mark of some kind on them from him, everybody else is out of the loop and having A Time, probably.

the entire thing is ridiculously meta it’s fun.

Another reason to love Jercy is how well their flaws combine - Jason deeply believes that he does not deserve affection and his loved ones will leave him at the first opportunity.

Percy is intimidating loving and devoted to foaming at the mouth.

ohhh my god yes. okay. im gonna try to be coherent:

percy’s fatal flaw is literally loyalty. someone else already said it but there is NO way jason is getting out of percy’s life except if he majorly fucks up. percy is so devoted to his lover he’d literally handcuff their hands together so they can stay like that just for a few more minutes— while jason genuinely believes his worth is ENTIRELY based on his actions and prowess, whether military or psychological. he’ll dig his own grave and burn himself out if it means someone will tell him they’re proud of him.

them together? jason doesnt have to do anything to be loved by percy, he’s already wonderful even if he’s not making buildings or being praetor. just jason is enough for him.

i think in hoo riordan does a sort of show dont tell thing w the seven where he says theyre all friends and stuff but like we dont rly get nice scenes w them bc theyre nearly always in combat which i think is rly bc of the short amount of time hoo took place in which was like. 4 months over all 5 books compared to 4 yrs to pjo books, and so its not like riordan can say they bonded by sending letters to each other over the summer or smth cause they literally just dont have time to bond and so their friendships feel like click and then off, like classmate friends
