Daydreaming of another’s one true love

[Disclaimer, I don’t own any of the JJBA characters, they all belong to Hirohiko Araki] Dio was not a man for love. The only woman he’d ever cared for was his mother, and she was the only woman who truly cared for him. Though he had cavorted with whores and sycophants, it was only his mother that had been kind to him, that had truly cared what happened to him without the need for her own gain.

Yet as of late, he’d been pondering. Beautiful teal eyes haunted his every waking hour, and when he slept, it was her smell that tormented him. Erina Pendleton. The young harlot that Johnathan had been crooning for. The young girl whose first kiss he had stolen mere weeks ago. It was brilliant, a brilliant plan on his part, to entirely break JoJo’s spirit by stealing away his only respite from Brando’s torment. Yet now, it was Dio that felt lost. He found himself reminiscing on her lips, how delicate they were on his. She was beautiful, it was undeniable. He’d be the envy of every man with a woman like that on his arm. He’d be like a king, parading around his man. Look upon what is mine and weep that it does not belong to you. Look upon her and see she only has eyes for me! Oh, the thought brought a grin to Dio’s face. He imagined her -Erina Brando- his one and only, his wife, dressed to the nines, like a queen, hanging off of his arm with desire. He was practically salivating at the thought. She would be his lady, Lady Brando, at his side when he snatched the estate from beneath the foolish Joestar. He’d have Johnathan’s fortune, his home, and his beloved. The thought of stealing her away only made his lust for her burn hotter in his veins. Yet, he knew that no matter what he promised her, she would never be his. When he had kissed her, that day on the road, she had dropped to her knees and wiped away the memory of his lips with mud. He’d lost his temper with her, too, and struck her across the face. Stupid wench. It was her own fault for insulting me in front of my companions. Still. Despite his anger at being shamed by her, he couldn’t stop himself from thinking about her. He would have her, one way or another. He would get what he was owed. The Pendleton girl was his by rights, just like the Joestar home. It would just take a while to take her.

No. No, no, no. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Definitely wrong. This was all that passed Dio’s lips as he searched the thousands upon thousands of threads along the tapestry, each one a different reality. And somewhere among them was the reality he was searching for.

After his supposed defeat against Jonathan at Windknight’s Lot, when his body had been reduced to ash and dust from that vile Hamon that JoJo had been training with, it was the last time that Dio saw his beloved [Name]. The two, despite the path he had chosen, had grown close to one another before his discovery of the Stone Mask. So much so that she had made her way into his heart and left an imprint there that has never faded.

He adored her. Her heartwarming compassion. Her beautiful appearance. Everything about her was perfect in his eyes, it was as if they were made for one another. He just could not get enough of her, yet, sadly he never had the chance to offer her the same incredible powers that the Stone Mask had passed upon him. From that moment on, he had very little contact with [Name] due to her being in protection of Jonathan and those other pathetic allies of his.

If the boat had not exploded and after claiming Jonathan’s body as his own, Dio would have gone back for her. Yet, sadly, Fate did not wish for them to be reunited, as when he finally returned to this world, over a century had passed and his beloved [Name] was no more. His heart had shattered when he discovered this.

Even now, knowing that she is no longer by his side made his heart clench with sorrow. And thus, leading Dio to do this current activity of searching the difference realities for his. He wanted to know what happened to her. He wanted to know how she coped without him being there, the [Hair colour] woman must have been lost without him.

He trailed down more of the realities, picking out the small details to pinpoint the correct one and finally found it among the spiderweb of threads. His fingers grabbed hold of the thread and pried it open, revealing another area within it, as if he had drawn the curtains of a window. The scene before him was all too familiar, the scorching burn of Hamon surging through his rapidly disintegrating body as he fell from the balcony of the castle he had claimed as his own in Windknight’s Lot. The battle was indeed ferocious, both he and Jonathan countering and outwitting one another yet it was Jonathan who rose the victor of it.

It was a moment but not the one he was searching for, it wasn’t him nor Jonathan he was searching for. It was [Name]. His beloved. It took a bit of manoeuvring of the scene but he was able to have it focused on her. The sorrow that carved her soft features at his “demise” plucked at his heart. Despite what he had become, her heart still beated for him, and he couldn’t have asked for a better partner than her.

He watched as [Name] aided with that woman, Erina, to help Jonathan and the others recover. Such a kind soul, always putting others before herself. Funny, Heaven didn’t seem so without her by his side. Of all the stars in the universe, and all those beyond it, not one of them compared to his [Name]. He dreamed of her by his side, in his arms, with him again.

“[Name], are you alright? You look unwell.” The sound of Erina’s voice sprinkled with concern caught Dio’s attention, pulling him back to his senses as he observed this. [Name] and Erina were both in a room, sitting together. [Name]’s complexion baring a paleness to it that was not natural. Concern tugged at him, she wasn’t sick, was she? Illness hadn’t claimed her too soon, did it?

[Name] waved her hand a little, the other resting lightly on her stomach, “It is nothing, Erina. Just a little illness, I will be fine.” The [Hair colour] woman tried to brush off her friend’s concern and calm her but Erina -and Dio- could see through her. Erina gave her that look that showed she didn’t believe her and [Name] sighed softly. Her hand still resting on her stomach, her [Eye colour] eyes looking at Erina. Something unspoken went between the two females as Erina’s eyes widened slightly, shock painting her face.

“You’re...?” Her voice was low, coated in disbelief, and [Name] nodded slowly. She was suddenly wrapped in a hug by the blonde woman, careful not to hug too tightly and avoided her abdomen. Why? Wait... It clicked in Dio’s head at that. [Name] was pregnant. She was pregnant with his child. A wave washed through Dio at this, [Name] was carrying his child, his bloodline.

He had no idea. He had spent an intimate night with her before Jonathan had discovered his plans of poisoning his father, and everything after that was a whirlwind of chaos from his attempted arrest to the burning of the Joestar manor to everything in Windknight’s Lot. And among all this, Dio was unaware of [Name] carrying his child. Everything seemed odd, now knowing that she bared his child without him being there felt like, in a sense of way, that he had betrayed her.

Shaking his head a little, the God-like being continued to watch the scene, his curiosity clutched more than ever. What became of his child? And [Name]? Dio leaned back a little and followed the thread further down the line and then continued to observe.

In this one, Jonathan was speaking with [Name]. The two were alone in the study of Jonathan and Erina’s new home. Now, her pregnancy was more visible with the baby bump beginning to show more. Evidence of the life growing inside of her.

“Erina has told me the news, I wanted to congratulate you.” Jonathan’s lips were lifted into a soft, warm smile which [Name] mirrored politely. Those two were always good friends but neither of them stepped over any lines, aware the other was committed to someone else and having no feelings beyond friendship to one another.

“And I can assume the father was...?” They both knew exactly who the father was and she nodded still, answering the question.

“Dio, yes.” Sorrow stitched into her words at the mention of him, a sense of longing in her [Eye colour] eyes, the kind one had when they lost something special to them. Jonathan rested his hand on her shoulder, a comforting gesture.

“I wish to help you in any way I can, [Name]. You are a dear friend to me, you always have been.” He said, earning a small smile from her at that. “And so, I am going to have a room set up for you here, so we can help you with your baby.” [Eye colour] eyes widened at that. Had Jonathan really just said that? He would help her with the child? With Dio gone, [Name] had no one else to turn to. Her parents had passed some years ago, leaving her alone.

There was that fear that whispered in her head that, now with Dio gone, she would be unable to support herself and her baby. But yet, here Jonathan was, offering her help and support. The man was a Saint, he had to be. While her heart would always belong to Dio, despite all he had done, she will always be thankful to Jonathan for all he had done for her.

And nor could Dio. The man he respected aided his beloved in her time of need. Rather than turn her away, he accepted her with open arms, her and her child. The threads told Dio all he wished to know, that she gave birth to a healthy child. A boy who, once he reached his child years, shared a striking resemblance to Dio’s own child years. Though instead of sharp, amber eyes that pierced through your soul, he had soft, [Eye colour] eyes that emitted warmth and comfort, just like his mother’s.

[Son’s Name] may have looked like his father but he inherited much from his mother, everything from her warm gaze to her compassion. He was strong and determined, much like his father, and refused to be pushed around. To stand here and watch the son he didn’t know he had grow into a fine young man was strange to Dio. With the power he now possessed, able to rip open the fabric of he universe itself to his wishes, he could watch this as often as he pleased. But that was just a window view, and like many windows, it could be opened.

But was that worth the disruption it would cause? To intervene in such a manner would cause a shock-wave effect for other realities, as well as the base reality itself. But to be with [Name] again, to hold her close again.

That was well than worth the risk.

What are your thoughts on Jonathan x Speedwagon?

Thanks for the ask!

I sure have thoughts on this one. I didn’t expect Speedwagon x Johnathan to be as big of a ship as it is, but looking back, there’s a surprising amount of hints towards at least one-sided romantic interest from Speedwagon.

First off, Speedwagon remained a bachelor his entire life which, as has oft been pointed out, is an old euphemism denoting a gay man.

Second, the Jjba dub changes a few lines, making Speedwagon seem gayer than in the sub. In the scene where Erina nurses Johnathan back to health, subtitled Speedwagon seems to just wants Johnathan to get taken care of and is relieved that someone is doing it. Dub Speedwagon, on the other hand, seems disappointed that Johnathan chose Erina over him.

In Battle Tendency, sub Joseph teases Erina about Speedwagon’s closeness to the family and suggests the she and him are dating. In the dub, Joseph instead suggests that Speedwagon and Johnathan were more than friends.

I find the idea that Jojos went through 3 methods of production (Shonen Jump, David Productions, and the dub cast) and came out gayer than intended to be pretty interesting. Not to mention, Speedwagon and Johnathan have a nice dynamic. As long as there is no bashing of Erina, in my opinion, Speedwagon x Johnathan is a pretty great ship.

Jojo fans that ignore the women of jjba,fridge them,trash them for their dumb ship or only because they wanna see two dude characters together while ignoring the woman they are canonlly with(i see people do this to erina and suzie q and holly a lot)

Are the biggest piles of dogshit to ever walk the earth.

We do not treat the women of jojos bad.

Yes giornos mom was trash. But she still gave birth to him. Also dio stole Johnathans body,it became dios body and there fore the only thing that makes giorno a joestar is only by a small fraction of dna thats it. Other then that he is in fact dios son. Fight me hoes. FIGHT ME! In a way both dios son gios canon mom was trash in a way. Still dio would make a better parent by a long shot.

I dont even care for dio that much but it grind my gears people ignore Johnathans legit son George the 2nd. God i hate fans sometimes.

But yeah we do not trash the women of jojos. EVER! Especially ernia,holly,lisa lisa,tomoko,and suzie q. Those women are queens. Fiiiiiight me!

Tho i dont care much for canon characters shipped together.

My Personal Biases: I didn’t have any experience with the Jojo Franchise until I came across JStars Victory Vs.

My Verdict: Call it Bizarre. Call it out of this world. Call it slightly homoerotic. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, even before the introduction of Stands was an entertaining ride that included vampires, mad German scientists, Pillar Men and Breathing techniques in a steal of a 12 dollar package. If you haven’t picked this up yet, do yourself a favor and check it out!

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure The Complete First Season, a review

In 2012, David Productions took Hirihiko Araki’s manga, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, and adapted it into what would be a worldwide phenomenon. The manga had been adapted previously into a series of OVAs (Original Video Animation) that only covered the most popular part, Stardust Crusaders. The anime starts right from the beginning and begins from the manga’s origins as well as the original character. Unlike other Shounen Manga, the Jojo series is infamous for (among other things) having multiple protagonists each being the different lead in a ‘Part’. For the first part, the protagonist or ‘Jojo’ is Johnathan Joestar while the second part has its protagonist in the form of Joseph Joestar.

I’m going to split this review between the first part, Phantom Blood and the second part, Battle Tendency.

Part 1: Phantom Blood

In 19th Century England, two very different boys are born into two very different families. Jonathan Joestar is the son of a rich nobleman and known for his kind nature and politeness, but isn’t so much useful in a fight. Dio Brando is born to an alcoholic father and despite his prodigy, he is most likely destined to a life of poverty, had Dio’s Father, Dario have a debt owed to him by Jonathan’s father, George. (This is because George Joestar mistakenly thought Dario saved his life when in actually Dario was in the vicinity trying to rob George’s corpse). In an attempt to pay off the debt, George adopts Dio into his family.

I know a lot of people gloss over the first part because it’s not what made the main core of the series, but there’s still a lot of fun to be had if you let it.

Dio torments and bullies Jonathan by killing his dog, stealing his father’s affection and even kissing the girl Jonathan fancies, Erina. But as the step-brothers grow older and older, they’re prepared to do battle for one another while Jonathan still maintains his gentle nature. However, when George takes ill because of Dio’s poisoning, Dio dons a very interesting Aztec mask that turns him into a Vampire. George, unfortunately, dies in the middle of the battle.

Using his wits, Jonathan sets his childhood home on fire and sets Dio ablaze. Jonathan comes out burned but alive. As Erina helps Jonathan recover from his injuries, a strange man confronts the two of them.

Zeppeli tells Jonathan that Dio not only survived the incident but has come back and is building an army of vampires. Zeppeli offers to teach Jonathan Hamon, the ability to use one’s breath to stir up the energy inside in order to imbue attacks with sunlight energy in the hopes of vanquishing Dio once and for all.

(Yes, the fact that the same voice performers who played Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki with thick British accents amuses me greatly.)

Though short, the series does have fun action scenes (including one fight with a chain).

Through his chivalrous spirit and quick wits, Jonathan defeats Dio.

Jonathan and Erina finally get married, but all is not well on their cruise to America. The disembodied head of Dio still remains and is causing havoc with its tentacles and laser eyes. Realizing Dio is too great a threat to go unchecked, Jonathan ensures the safety of the other passengers, including his newlywed Erina, and destroys the ship and him along with it.

And so, Jonathan sacrifices himself to save the world from Dio. Erina survives and lives in America.

Viz Media and BangZoom did the localization of the show and for the most part, it sticks closely to the Japanese Script. However, because the show is set in 19th century, BangZoom told everyone to adopt thick, British accents.

And it’s bloody hysterical. At times, I thought I was watching a BBC documentary intercut with a battle shounen.

I don’t know if Patrick Seitz can ever measure up to Takehito Koyasu’s legendary take on the character, but he makes a game effort of it. While Seitz’s voice doesn’t differ too much from his other role, the energy and performance are worthy enough (at least to me) to compare with his Japanese counterpart.

Johnny Yong Bosch is as Johnny Yong Bosch as he’ll ever be. He’s not bad as Johnathan but you can tell he’s struggling both under the accent and giant with a heart of gold persona. It’d be one thing if he were playing an edgy teenager like Ichigo Kurosaki or a kid like Renton Thurston but he’s caught in the role that might’ve been suited to someone else.

Keith Silverstein (who also voiced Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter) is having a grand old time as Robert Speedwagon. Marc Diraison (who voiced Guts in Beserk and ‘Zolo’ in the 4kids dub of One Piece) shows genuine emotion as George Joestar. Also, can we just give a hand to Michelle Ruff? I know she’s done a lot of roles, including ones from Ayako Kawasumi (such as Saber from Fate/Stay Night and Chikane Himemiya from Kannazuki no Miko) but she plays a great Erina both young and old.

With the end of Part 1 and the closing of Jonathan’s story, we move onto Part 2.

Part 2: Battle Tendency

So, it’s 1928, New York. We follow a black boy named Smokey Robinson as he’s being hassled by the police for being a pickpocket. Before this turns into a docudrama on the History Channel, a six foot stranger with a British accent appears.

Here we meet the Jojo of this story arc, Joseph Joestar, grandson of Jonathan and Erina.

(Yes, I find the fact that Joseph is played by the same voice performer as Kids Next Door’s Nigel Uno extremely hysterical. He’s even using the same voice!)

But all’s not well in New York. Joseph encounters a vampire that’s somehow resistant to Hamon.

With the rise of Vampires that are somewhat resistant to Hamon as well as the strange disappearance of Mr. Speedwagon, Joeseph sets off on a trip that will take him all over the world from the scorching hot deserts of South America to the beautiful city of Venice and even over a Volcano. The conspiracy leads to the awakening of the Pillar Men, ancient Aztec warriors who are bent on destroying humanity unless Joeseph can team up with the grandson of Zeppilli and stop them once and for all. Kars, however, might be the most difficult opponent of all and when he transforms into an ultimate superbeing capable of not being harmed by Hamon or Sunlight, Joespeh’s wits are put to the limit.

Here we get a distinct difference between the two protagonists. While Jonathan was honorable, kind and courteous, Joseph is devious, scheming and a bit of a trickster.

I really love Joseph. In fact, through parts 1 through 6, he’s probably my favorite of the protagonists. See, Joseph is constantly pitted against more experienced enemies that have a physical advantage over him. Joseph overcomes this by tricking and deceiving his opponents. Sometimes, his bluffs work because of his cleverness. Other times, he’s just damn lucky. Joseph likes to predict his opponent’s next line, say it and basically outsmart them.

At times, Joseph is willing to make a complete idiot out of himself, just for a moment’s opportunity to trick his foe. Such as dressing up in women’s clothing and bribing some enemy soldiers.

Joseph continues to hone is Hamon skills in order to defeat the Pillar Men. But not before meeting two beauties by the names of Lisa Lisa, a Hamon teacher who might have a secret of two and Suzie Q, a cute Italian girl.

Part 2’s filled with wall to wall exploits, including mad German scientists, Chariot Races and an incredible finish with Joseph facing off against Kars on top of a Volcano.

Joseph defeats Kars and returns in surprise to his own funeral, but not before getting a new metal hand and marrying Suzy Q.

And thus ends Battle Tendency. A lot of people consider this their favorite part and I’m among them. Aside from Joeseph’s antics, there’s a lot of fire and energy you just don’t see nowadays. From battling vampires on top the Brooklyn Bridge to flying a plane over a volcanic island to defeat an Ubermensch, Battle Tenacity had a lot of creativity and seeing Joeseph get out of each situation with his wits and sheer dumb luck is a joy to behold.

Ben Diskin (who also performed Sai from Naruto and Knuckle from Hunter x Hunter) is hysterical as Joseph and the fact that he has this thick British accent the whole time makes it worthwhile. Diskin’s always had a great range but him playing this buffoon makes the whole enterprise a laugh riot.

Wendee Lee as Lisa Lisa is fine (that’s not to say that Wendee Lee gives a bad performance, far from it. It’s just that after voicing so many roles, you can tell which ones she’s pouring her soul into and which ones she’s just putting on a funny accent. This is the latter). It’s also nice to hear Stephanie Sheh as Suzy Q being more of a lighthearted ditz rather than a shy introvert.

Aside from the wackiness and over the top reactions, what really sets this series apart is the animation. Using striking color pallets and digging into the manga aesthetic really sets the tone whether it’s Joseph goofing off or Jonathan fighting a desperate battle. David Productions made their name with this series and it’s no surprise they’ve been listed to do other works such as Fire Force. Even when the anime resorts to using a panning shot or speed lines, there’s a kinetic pace that pulls you in.

But, you didn’t come here for Jonathan, did you? You didn’t come here for Joseph, either. You came for a certain high schooler with a hat and a mission.

Stand proud, true crusaders.

JoJo x MHA Crossover - Madness

This takes place in an alternate timeline to both the original JoJo series & the Johnny timeline. It begins as an offshoot of the original, the 1st chapter nearly identical with the only alteration being that Johnathan survived to live out his life with Erina. (How that's possible? ... I'm still working on.)

This causes a chain of events that leads to great & terrifying things. Chapter 2 of JoJo comes around with little difference beyond Johnathan is there. (Sidenote: Johnathan & Wamuu bond over manliness & honor. The Wind Warrior says that, had things been different, he'd very much have liked to have been comrades.) Johnathan dies in the battles of the Pillarmen, but his body disappears years later. Cars is still defeated, but has placed 1 final curse upon humanity as a last "fuck you" to the Joestars. Before the final battle he made more stone masks, did something to altar them fundamentally & had them hidden around the world by his minion.

The stone masks are essentially the same, but certain strong vampires like Dio, are now able to create both the same sort of strong vampires like themselves via biting (but it takes more out of them) & the weird minion vamps/zombies of the norm. Along with it is the human urge to propagate other.

This causes vampires to remain a problem while remaining a myth. At the same time, there remains a NEED for Hamon/Ripple, thus it continues to exist.

The time of Chapter 3 with Jotaro comes but the altered timeline leads to Quirks instead of Stands. The glowing baby was just the 1st known example of a Quirk, when really they've been around for a while. Dio still gets Johnathan's body here but sort of detaches his head in order to escape in the end! Jotaro has the Quirk: Star Platinum, Joeseph has the Quirk: Purple Hermit, & you can guess the rest. This is back in the day when Quirks were not just rare but also kept on the down low.

Same basic events occur but, of course, Dio finds a way to escape! He hides under a rock for a few more decades. Jiorno Giovanna & Josuke are born, except Jiorno was born with an 'evil' (really she just had a chronic, Sasuke-esque inferiority/superiority complex) twin sister. Instead of becoming Mafia, sister Giovanna run away & changes her name.

Joseph also has a son with Suzy Q, who grew up to marry the daughter of Caesar Zeppeli (who survived chapter 2 because of Jonathan) & THEIR daughter is Quirkless but takes after Lisa Lisa & eventually marries Yagi Toshinori. (They met & fell in love in America.) They are the #1 Power Couple of Japan & she passes off her Hamon as a Quirk. When AFO comes to kick All Might's ass, his wife... Juliet Joestar let's call her... is forced to wade through AFO's distraction army & by the time she's finished & come to aid her husband, AFO & All Bae are about to land the blow that will debilitate both.

She's quintessential in driving off AFO, because she does not have a Quirk & her powers are based on training. She uses Hamon to heal some of hubby's most desperate of wounds, but it isn't entirely enough.

MAJOR PLOT POINT: Toshinori's best chance at becoming healthy enough to eventually live through a successful surgery that will later lead to him becoming "All Mighty," though only with the dregs of OFA, again is by MASTERING HAMON.

This, by far, is NOT an easy task for him because he is debilitated. By the time the anime starts, he is, at most, an amateur. Either way, Julie & All Might both train Deku (who oddly happens to have a similar gift for Hamon to what Jonathan used to & seems bizarrely predisposed to behaving like a gentlemen (other than that, he's entirely the same Deku we know)), so Green Son is learning to become the next wielder of OFA while also learning the ancient lifestyle of Hamon right alongside All Might.

One more sidenote: Izuku & Bakugo are the sons of Jiorno (codename Hisashi Midoriya) & his missing sister (Bakugo Mitsuki). The boys don't know, but "Hisashi" & "Mitsuki" do & have kept it quiet until they feel the time is ready. (Izuku & Inko don't see Jiorno because he's held up with governing his gang in Italy & doesn't want to involve them in the danger he deals with... didn't really work...)

Final insertion: Instead of Mineta, there's this kid with a powerful wind-based Quirk who happens to be a very honorable & dedicated fighter. He & Izuku become best friends almost instantly, bonding over honor, heroics, & chivalry. (As opposed to chauvinistry.)

Before AFO returns, Dio reemerges, Izuku & Bakugo learn of their relations as well as Izu eventually is bestowed the Luck & Pluck & the Joestars begin to converge with one final, desperate battle against their generations long enemy... Dio!!

Also, Cars might come back later to cause trouble, I dunno.

sum jose hc:

-never had any parents growing up in his life so he’s used to it but he beats people up if they taunt him or in front of erina about it. mainly cause that’s just hella rude..

-erina and speedwagon are basically his only family for the first 18 years of his life, he’s too much of a punk to really have made friends with anyone. that’s why when speedwagon said he move from england to new york, joseph didn’t really care since the only 2 people he cares about were coming with him anyway.

-i doubt he went to school or did well in homeschool, if he did than he probably tried to do well for his grandma but his temper got him into fights too. basically if any insults toward himself and especially toward family (speeds, erina), he regrets it afterward though cause he realises it’ll only cause them trouble

-keeps everything erina gives him like literally. most precious things to him, he loves her with all his big soft heart!!! if she told him to wear some dress he’ll do it in a heartbeat just to make her happy, will whine if speedwagon asks him tho. he wants to try and be a good boy in her eyes, doesn’t fight back if she scolds him and takes it like a champ.

- erina is the one who makes up a majority of his younger life, especially since he probably just hangs around her all the time and dislikes other kids. he’s heard a lot of her stories especially about johnathan but he’s mostly neutral about it since he’s never met his grandpa. he rarely brings it up and if someone brings it up in front of erina, he’ll also beat them up cause he doesn’t want erina to be sad

-he didn’t expect to get along with caesar at first. caesar’s the first guy that’s around his age that he ends up considering to be a very dear friend. that’s kinda why when he died, joseph felt extremely guilty and largely blames himself. the very least he could do was take revenge for his death. because their last conversation with each other was an argument that joseph could have picked his words better and he lives with this regret for the rest of his life.

-honestly i see joseph as bisexual, i’m betting he probably hooked up one night stands with 1 or 2 men before while suzi wasn’t looking.. maybe he does it out of impulsiveness or just some need i don’t really know.

-grew up bluffing a lot. bluffs about knowing x so he seems cooler in front of other kids, they find out and call him a liar, he gets isolated from the group. he bluffs to speedwagon about minor stuff too, like ‘ i didn’t steal from the cookie jar!! ‘ but he spills the beans if speedwagon threatens to tell erina about it lol.

Don’t Walk Away

The sun crawled towards the horizon, casting the sky in shades of warmth as [Name] sat against the tree on the hill, watching it. A small frown tugged her lips, thoughts swimming in her head in an attempt to organise them and plan what she was going to say.

She had always given Dio her all with their relationship, despite knowing he was not the kindest nor sweetest of people. To him, everyone was below him, like he was some kind of king and everyone else were peasants unworthy to be graced by his attention; though he has always reminded [Name] that she was different than the others. She was no peasant to him, but someone he cherished and would deem his queen.

But, unlike him, [Name] could not ignore the pain he was inflicting upon others; especially her friends, Johnathan and Erina. At every corner, [Name] had done what she could to defend and justify Dio’s actions, saying how they both grew up in rough places and he doesn’t really know kindness. However, upon discovering that he had stolen Erina’s first kiss just for a kick at Johnathan, that was the final straw for [Name].

Not only had he tarnished Erina’s honour as a Lady but he had also wounded [Name]’s feelings.

Footsteps could be heard approaching the tree, pulling the [Hair colour] female from her thoughts.

“[Name], my dear, what a lovely surprise.” Dio spoke, a light smile on his lips as he approached her. His arms went to wrap around her when [Name] grabbed his hands gently, lowering them away from her. Dio’s smile faltered slightly, confusion flashing across his amber eyes as she took a deep breath.

“What’s wrong?” he asked. This was going to be difficult, she knew it. Treat it like a plaster, rip it off and get it over with, don’t waste time beating around the bush and making it more harder.

“Dio, I’m sorry but we cannot be together anymore.” There, it was out. But her heart clenched as she forced those words out. Shock flashed across Dio’s face, spilling through his facade and allowing the raw emotion to be seen.

“What? Where is this coming from?” For the time they have both been together, she had shown no signs of loosing interest nor has he. In fact, Dio has done nothing but shower her in the love he had. Telling her how nice she looked, noticing if she did something different with her hair or clothing, everything.

[Name] lowered her head, unable to look Dio in the face. Her chest ached. “Dio, you cannot keep abusing those around you. Johnathan has done nothing wrong to earn your anger and-” Dio cut her off,

“Jojo is a spoiled, pampered brat.” he spat out, words covered in a bitter venom. “He has no idea of what we had to do to survive. Every scrap of money we could get was wasted on alcohol for that drunken bastard of a father.” The anger in his eyes at the mere mention of his father was scorching. Something that has always left him withering in rage.

“And what of Erina?” [Name] asked, raising her [Eye colour] orbs to his. Challenging him for an answer. “You took he first kiss, Dio. How do you think that made me feel?” The wildfire faded in his eyes, washed away by a wave of guilt. Something he did not feel often, and hated to feel. The cold stone dropped in his stomach, rolling around without a care.

“[Name], you know my heart belongs to you. She was nothing but a kick at Jojo, that was all.” She couldn’t be getting upset over that, right? If so, then he would make it up to her. Anyway she wanted.

[Name] shook her head, taking a step away from him. “No, Dio. It’s not just that, Erina and Johnathan are my friends. And if you cannot respect them then you don’t respect me.” With that, she turned and began to walk away when Dio shot forward, grabbing hold of her wrist.

“[Name], you can’t leave me! I love you!” There was a desperation in his voice she has never heard before. The fear of loosing her. [Name] took a shaky breath,

“Is it me you love, or your pride?” And with that, she ripped her hand away from him and walked away.

Dio stood there, eyes wide, his outstretched hand shaking slightly as he reached out to her. A sharp, piercing pain struck his chest, twisting like a blade that he couldn’t remove. His hand retracted, curling around his chest as he lowered his head. His eyes stinging, tears blurring his vision. He hasn’t cried since his mother died.

A shaky sob ripped from his throat, his fist driving into the bark of the tree.

“[Name]. Please, don’t leave me.” he whispered, resting his head against the tree as letting the tears flow.

Thank you for the request, this is an AU where Dio isn’t twisted nor angry towards the Joestars. Please enjoy. This is kinda long.

Johnathan had noticed something different about Dio recently. Something that many people would fail to notice, but not him. Dio seemed... happier. There was a spring in his step that was never there before and it intrigued Johnathan as to the cause of such behaviour in Dio.

He doubted it was because of their graduation coming up, they have been aware of it for months and this joy was sparked in the recent weeks. He trailed back in his memories, trying to recall the events over the past few weeks. Nothing new had happened. Well, something did happen recently. They were introduced to the [Surname]’s daughter, [Name].

A lovely young lady with warm, welcoming eyes that melted away any irritation and leave them feeling calm, almost at peace. Soft, [Hair colour] locks that fell past her shoulders, strands tied into delicate plates. She was beautiful. Then it clicked in Johnathan’s head.

Did Dio have feelings for [Name]? The idea of Dio having feelings for someone was... a little bizarre for Johnathan as Dio seemed to show only an interest in himself. Yet, the thought made Johnathan smile; it was nice to think that Dio was holding an interest in someone and, as a result, Johnathan found it his job to help his adopted brother swoon [Name]’s heart.

Of course, it also gave Johnathan the right to tease Dio of this. After all, Dio did it to Johnathan when he found out about Erina so Johnathan saw it only fair to return the favour.

Upon walking into the library, Johnathan smiled when he saw Dio sitting in his chair beside the fire, head resting on his fist as his eyes scanned the book in his other hand.

“Hello Dio.” Johnathan greeted, making his way over to the blonde teen, who gave a hum of acknowledgement. When Johnathan reached his side, Dio tossed him a glance, “Is there something you need, Jojo?” he asked. He shook his head,

“I was just curious about something.” Johnathan said, watching as Dio turned the page. “Do you think father will invite the [Surname]s to the party next week?” Dio’s ability to mask his emotions was incredible but Johnathan knew where the weakness where in that mask. The small cracks that allowed droplets of emotion to slip through. The corner of his lip twitched lightly, his hand turning the page halted for a millisecond before continuing.

“Most likely. They’re close friends to father Jojo, you are aware of that.” The blonde pointed out. Johnathan only smiled,

“I know. But that means that [Name] will be here.” That made something flicker across Dio’s ember eyes before they narrowed at Johnathan.

“Where are you going with this? You seem oddly persistent about it.” Johnathan only gave Dio that sweet smile he often wore, a light shrug of his large shoulders.

“Your feelings for [Name] aren’t as hidden as you believe, Dio.” Dio’s head snapped towards Johnathan at that, eyes glaring into his soul. Johnathan couldn’t help the chuckle that left his lips at Dio’s reaction. “Don’t worry, I am certain I am the only one who has noticed the way you look at [Name when she isn’t looking. And how you are much happier when she is with you.”

As he spoke, he could see Dio’s eyes soften slightly upon realising Johnathan was right. He huffed, turning his attention back to the book in his hands.

“And what is the purpose for you bringing my feelings for [Name] up?” The blonde knew that Johnathan wouldn’t mention something like this without a reason. He could only hope it was not something stupid.

“Well, seeing as she is coming to the party next week, why don’t you ask her to dance and confess your feelings to her?” A bark of laughter bounced around the library, Dio almost throwing his head back as he laughed at that.

“Oh Jojo, you truly humour me at times.” He said once his laughter died down. Johnathan only blinked at him, “Oh, you’re serious.” Dio’s expression hardened at that. Johnathan nodded.

“And what is this wondrous plan of yours of me declaring my emotions in front of possibly fifty people? Including father and [Name]’s parents.” There was a sarcastic tone sprinkled on his words that Johnathan chose to ignore. Out of the pair of them, Dio was not the best when it came to emotions and declaring of such feelings. Unlike Johnathan.

That was why he was going to help him.

“Don’t worry, Dio.” Johnathan spoke, a bright smile on his lips. “I have a plan that will help you.”

This was not help. This was most certainly not help. Dio looked up at the large, hooved animal with uncertainty in his face. He should have suspected something was wrong the second Johnathan told him to wear a helmet and long pants he would not mind getting ruined. The horse snorted a little and the blonde male took a step back from it. Johnathan smiled as he jogged over to Dio and the two horses.

“JoJo, how is this going to help me confess to [Name]?” the blonde male asked, motioning to the two horses with confusion in his eyes. Johnathan smiled at him.

“Horse-ridding will allow you both to be close together and make you appear more interesting to her. Plus, she mentioned she like horses right?” Dio nodded, recalling the conversation easily. Johnathan motioned to the horses, “Then participate in something she enjoys.”

Dio rolled his eyes slightly and turned to the horse that was for him. Its study form stood tall, almost proud, with its chestnut colour fur. The saddle and reigns were already fixed onto it. “Well, how do you get on?” he asked. Johnathan gave a shake of his head.

“Not yet, Dio. You need to get acquainted with the horse first.” The blue haired teen said as he gently scratched his horse’s neck, earning a positive response from the animal. “It’s always good to have a bond with a horse before riding it.” Dio sighed softly. The things he was doing for love. He turned to the horse and rose his hand up slowly, gently stroking the side of its neck like Johnathan did. As a response, the horse nudged its nose against him and Johnathan smiled.

“There you go, he seems to like you already.” A smirk lifted Dio’s lips. “Now, he should let you ride him.” His head snapped towards Johnathan, all traces of his smirk and confidence gone.

“What?” Before Dio could react, Johnathan grabbed his waist and hoisted him up. “JoJo! Put me down! JoJo!” Dio shouted, his feet flaring about as he attempted to wiggle out of Johnathan’s grip.

“Stop fidgeting, Dio! You’re going to hurt the horse!” Johnathan shouted back, trying to keep balanced and avoid Dio kicking the horse. Sadly, with how much Dio was thrashing, Johnathan lost his balance and sent both of them falling backwards.

A low groan was heard from Johnathan as he laid there, fairly certain he landed on a stone or something.

“I hate you, JoJo.” Dio growled as he laid there, glaring at the sky. Johnathan chuckled lightly at that.

After a couple of days of practising and many, many moments of falling off the horse, Dio was finally ready. Well, as ready as he could get seeing as they had such a short time limit. He had asked [Name] to meet up with him the day before the party in the field behind the Joestar estate. She was a little confused as to why he wished to meet her there but didn’t question it.

When she reached the field, she was quite surprised to find Dio standing there, gently petting a chestnut brown horse. He turned to her, a confident smile on his lips.

“[Name], I’m glad to see you made it.” The blonde male said, shifting his attention to the [Hair colour] female. [Name] smiled lightly, looking between Dio and the horse.

“Dio, what on Earth are we doing here?” she asked as she approached him. Dio smiled, patting the horse’s neck again.

“Why, we’re going for a horse ride. What else would we be doing?” he spoke as if it was obvious though he understood what she was referring to. [Name] gently stroked the horse, earning a happy sound from the large animal.

“I just... didn’t think you were interested in horses. Or animals in general.” Dio chuckled lightly, ignoring the memories of repeatedly falling off the horse. [Name] didn’t need to know that. The blonde male shrugged lightly, hopping onto the horse and outstretching his hand out for her.

“Well, there are some things you don’t know about me, [Name].” The smirk on his lips only grew when he saw her cheeks dust red ever so slightly before she took his hand and he helped her onto the horse. Her arms wrapped tightly around his body and he smiled; lightly tapped the horse to tell him to go.
