----HELP--MISSING ANIMAL---KILLEEN TX
Hey guys,
My friend's ferret, Ciel, got out of his harness and ran off. He's been missing for 12 hours and so far no luck with squeeky toys or searching / calling. He's partially blind and suffers from insulinoma which requires medication.
They lost track of him around Idumapark / Iduma Elementary School in Killeen, Texas. Would you guys mind sharing this post to spread the word? I'd appreciate it!❤️❤️

I keep hearing that there are multiple things we as a nation need to do to prevent future mass shootings. Hearing statements like that can make you feel powerless, like it's an insurmountable problem we can't fix. But may I offer an additional solution that I don't hear being talked up lately?
We vote the bastards out.
Seriously, if your elected representative supports anyone anywhere being able to buy a gun no questions asked, knowing full well that the gun could be used to shoot up your local movie theater, your kid's school, your family's church, your neighborhood bar, your next barbecue... what the hell good are they?
It doesn't matter if your representative has a cute little family whose photos they insert in every star-spangled e-newsletter they send you. It doesn't matter if your senator got one of their aides to provide you with a tour of the Capitol building when you visited DC ten years back. It doesn't matter what job-churning infrastructure project they brought to your district. It doesn't matter if their stance on solar power tax credits or trans athletes in high school sports aligns with yours. Now that the pandemic is receding into the rear view and we're back to having slasher movies every week, gun violence should be #1 with a bullet on our priority list. It's a public safety issue. And if your federal or state representative doesn't care about your safety or that of your kids, your friends, your town... vote the bastard out.
Furthermore, we need to tell the bastards WHY we're voting them out. Call them, email them, write them, and tell them that if they can't commit to common sense gun control legislation--background checks, waiting periods, uniform purchase laws from one state to the next, and taking those damn AR-15s off the market--along with full funding for mental health services that get to the root of this violence--you're sending them back home and replacing them with someone who isn't useless. And if their response is some boilerplate garbage that invokes the Second Amendment or personal freedom or "good guys with guns", or they can't even be bothered to respond... make good on your promise. Vote the bastard out.
I think many people don't get riled up, or stay riled up, about this issue is that they think it'll never happen to them. It's always someone else who gets shot, probably because they were doing something wrong or being someplace they didn't need to be. But every one of these massacres proves that's a lie. You just have to be minding your business at the precise moment some little bitch with a gun and a grudge sees you, takes aim, and fires. How do you know you're not the next one on the kill list of circumstance?
We have solutions that could help fix the problem, but they're being obstructed--shot down--by tone-deaf sellouts who care more about NRA campaign contributions and macho-man posturing that the safety of their own constituents. And they keep being sent back to Congress and our state assemblies by well-meaning people who think it can't happen here, it's someone else's problem, what are the odds, my kid's school has an SRO, I know where all the exits are... BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!
The life you save may be your own. Vote the bastards out.
