Chapter 3

Gawain watched the whole thing with a sort of morbid fascination.

Lancelot was a huge prick, so it wasn’t that shocking that he’d bring three strange women to the table, even though he was already in a relationship.

It was interesting that Dagonet had been the one to show interest in anyone. It was unheard of. The big man was extremely quiet and private, and Gawain himself had never -ever- seen him with a woman.

Not that he felt like he was about to see it now, because Dagonet lacked game. Seriously. The poor guy was acting as he usually did -taciturn and quiet -which wasn’t helpful when there was interest in a lady.

Gawain couldn’t quite gauge if the woman herself had any interest. She was talking to Gin about rugby -which they’d both played at some point- but she wasn’t paying particular attention to Dagonet. At the same time, Gawain didn’t think she was deliberately ignoring him.

It mostly looked like she hadn’t noticed his interest.

But her friend had.

The one with cat-like eyes -and smirk -was obviously keeping an eye on the situation.

Now that one… Yeah, she was something else.

Brienne was clearly quiet -and perhaps a bit shy -and Sansa was a sweetheart. She had a great smile and everything. But this Margaery… Yeah, she was in a league of her own.

You know, and hot as fuck. Gawain figured she was the type to get whatever she wanted with a well placed smile and a softly spoken word.

And apparently she wanted to get her friend laid, which would get his friend laid, so he wasn’t particularly opposed to whatever she had in mind.

He just liked participating.

“So…” He got a bit closer, so he could speak mostly to her. “What are my friend’s chances here? Realistically speaking?”

She gave him a careful look, her pretty blue eyes taking him in. “If he doesn’t open his mouth? Pretty slim.”

Gawain snorted. “Trust me, love. I’ve never seen him even look at someone how he looks at her, but asking him to talk might be a bit much.”

She arched an eyebrow at him. “Love?”

“Only if you play nice.” He winked at her.

That little smirk of hers got bigger. “Tell me about Prince Charming.”

Gawain frowned. “The one who kissed Snow White?”

“No. Your cute friend with the curls who’s looking at Sansa.”

“Galahad? Prince Charming?”

“He does have that look about him.” She pointed out.

He supposed so… If Gawain was the type of comparing his friends with princes and shit. “He’s all nice.” He told Margaery. “The type you take home to meet your parents.”

“How fortuitous.” She drawled. “Sansa is the kind of gal that likes that type of boy.”

“Should I give him a nudge?” Gawain offered.

She seemed to consider this quite seriously. “It might be a good thing if you do. He looks quite sweet, but also…”

“Slow?”

“I was going to say shy.”

He snorted and took a sip from his beer. “Sure you were, love.”

“Not sure I like this ‘love’ thing.”

He eyed her carefully. Gawain would never press his attention on an uninterested lady. But Margaery wasn’t uninterested; she was having fun. He could see the mischievous glint in her eyes.

He leaned in closer once again. “You do.”

She chuckled. “At least someone here is sure of themselves.”

Gawain shrugged. “I’ve never been much for beating around the bush. You look good, I look good, the beer is good…”

That made her laugh for real. “Oh, I like you.”

“I knew you had good taste.”

“I think your friend and Gawain hit it off.” Gin whispered to Brienne.

Brienne looked at the pair in question, and -sure enough -Gawain seemed to be charming Margaery.

It was always a bit tricky with the other woman, and hard to say if she was playing a man or not, but Brienne believed her smile was real. Maybe she was having fun here.

“And I think Galahad has a crush on Sansa.” Gin pointed at the curly haired man who was finally talking to Sansa, his smile gentle and sweet.

“He looks nice.” Brienne said carefully.

“He is.” Gin assured her. “How about you?”

“Me?” Brienne frowned.

“Yes. How about…” She seemed to rethink what she was about to ask, and change directions. “Is there anyone you’re interested in?”

“Oh, no.” Brienne was quick to deny. “I’m normally just a wingwoman. Sansa and Margaery get all the attention.”

“Well, I didn’t ask about them.” Gin said carefully. “I’m asking you. If there’s someone who caught your eye.”

“I don’t normally…” Brienne cleared her throat. “Men are usually intimidated by my height. So I’ve stopped paying attention.”

“If they’re intimidated, then they aren’t real men, love.” Gin said decisively, putting her pint down. “Dagonet!” She called.

Brienne felt herself blushing. Why was she calling him over?

“Yes?” He asked, approaching them.

“Is Brienne too tall?”

He frowned, as if the question didn’t make any sense. “No.”

“Is it intimidating?” Gin pressed.

“Why would it be?” He asked, confused.

“Isn’t she absolutely lovely?”

“Gin…”

“Obviously.” He said, no hesitation whatsoever.

Well… Now that made Brienne blush.

Today’s randomized excerpt is from Tolkien’s unfinished poem titled The Fall of Arthur (composed in large part in the Spring of 1930 and officially published eighty years later in 2013). The poem is working with events from medieval Arthurian works but is portrayed in modern English with a strong alliterative bent. In other words, many syllables begin with the same sound. This passage sets the natural scene for Lancelot pining over the loss of his relationship with King Arthur -- despite how he went ahead and gave up Guinevere as his true love. Even when thinking of Guinevere, Lancelot thinks of her respectfully and Tolkien uses flowery language as opposed to the passages with the antagonist Mordred who intends to take Guinevere for himself. It is interesting to note that whereas explicit sexual interest does not enter into the LOTR texts, Tolkien’s language does not shy away from it in this poem in relation to Mordred’s desire for Camelot’s queen.

In the South from sleep to swift fury

a storm was stirred, striding northward

over leagues of water loud with thunder

and roaring rain it rushed onward.

Their hoary heads hills and mountains

tossed in tumult on the towering seas.

On Benwick’s beached breakers pounding

The Camelot Betrayal: 4 star reread

Thoughts: My girl Guin off finding her way, my boy Arthur off getting a little bit lost, and Best Character Lancelot being magnificent what more could you want

The Excalibur Curse: 4 star first time read

Thoughts: this absolutely would have been a 5 star read but Guin didn’t bang anyones mind out like I REALLY thought she was going to. But listen good for her, I am an Ace Queen myself so it’s no real loss. Lancelot didn’t have enough book time but Fina was a wonderful addition so I guess it’s fine.

Half Sick of Shadows: 2 star first time read

Thoughts: oh boy. Idk if y’all know this but corsets weren’t around for the Arthurian age! At all! The word corset doesn’t come into play until the late Regency period-around the 1820s. Before that it was stays. Before that it was pair of bodies. Fun fact! None of them were around for the Arthurian era! They worse dresses that had some structured support but they were MADE FOR WORKING. There were no petticoats. There were shifts/a basic cotton or linen under layer but that was it. This came up REPEATEDLY. Laura you’re better than this. ALSO. Lancelot deserved so much better. Arthur should have proven himself competent on his own as a leader at literally any point, Gwen and Morgana should have murdered more people. Anyway it was bad but I’m sure I’ll go and read the Tennyson poem it was based on at some point and hate that even more so feel free to look forward to it.

The League of Gentlewoman Witches: 4 star first time read

Thoughts: Just as much bonkers fun as the first one. Seriously if y’all are sleeping on this series wake up and read them. They’re brilliantly funny. Cannot wait for book 3.

A Magic Steeped in Poison: 4 star first time read

Thoughts: Everyone who said this book was excellent was correct. Both of our leads were delightful, all the supporting cast were fun, the writing was beautiful. If you were debating picking it up debate no more! It’s good!

If anyone is curious this brought me to a grand total of 16 novels and 3 novellas this month. (And 18 volumes of manga, 2 graphic novels, and 19 single issue comics but I haven’t mentioned those on these posts)

Legendborn: 8% reread

Thoughts: OK but it is objectively so funny that this guy is out here as your peer mentor and he thinks he’s Arthur. Like actually King Arthur, has been convinced of this his whole life and everyone of his friends also think he’s Arthur and they all treat him like it and then you’re out here Actually Arthur. Absolutely hysterical. What happened to the poor lad (or lass or non binary college student idr if their gender ever gets stated) who spent their entire life assuming they were Lancelot? Did they just end up being nothing? I would assume so because by the end all the knights have awakened. I’d go into absolute hysterics. Anyway I’m having an absolute blast rereading this.

The Color of Dragons: 4% First time Read

Thoughts: that’s right I interrupt my Arthurian retelling spree to read a *checks notes* Pre-Arthurian story. Fun so far!

Lancelot and the King: 5% first time read

Thoughts: I was so angry on Lancelot behalf after Half Sick of Shadows that I decided to find a story where he was happy. Will he be happy by the end of this? No idea! But I’m hopeful he’ll at least get railed out of his mind. Also it was only 99¢ on kindle and I’m easily persuaded.

Author note : Hello ! I hope you’re doing well ♡ I’m super happy to be able to post again, I still need to practice a little bit tell me what you think about this one. I plan to create another série “what kind of significant other are they” but for a lot of fandoms ♡.

The weeping monk aka Lancelot

Attentive : he tends to be quiet but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t notice. He used to analyze everything in order to catch fey or to fight properly and he uses this quality in your relationship. Meaning he will always know when you are down when you are angry or when you’re lying to him.

Because he knows that he tries his best to act the proper way in order to help you going through what ever bother you. However despite his sensitive nature, he took him a long time and a lot of works to be able to express his feelings. He was raised to be a weapon to be a man, not some Childs who cried over. Be patient with him it’ll worth it.

Collected : most of people believe that it’s a cursed but with him it’s actually a good thing, because he is not very loud, fight are non-existent.

Not because he doesn’t feel angry (he does) but he wasn’t raised to express his emotion or worst let them take the best of him. He is monk so he knows better than falling for wrath. It took a lot to actually make him angry. In the meantime, being quiet means he is pretty good listener and because of that he alway knows what to do when you’re about to start a fight : because he could remember what you say earlier etc. Since he is attentive when it came to you, it’s all benefit for you.

Kind : there litteraly nothing he won’t do for you. Not kidding this little baby is touch-starved and he can’t help but thank every divinity fey or not for giving such a wonderful S/O as you are.

He knows he can be harsh and sometimes he can hurt you with his words, he knows he isn’t very comfortable with physical affection. But he is trying. Because of that he will always take care of you as much as possible, and will always reminds you how much he loves you by small gesture.

The first time you saw him running into you ready to kill every man and then taking you into a safe place. You knew he was in love and that he cared about you. Most of the time he manifests his love to you by small gesture, a little flower on your desk the next morning, your favorite hot drink, a book that you might be into. Anything who appears to be small gesture but means a lot for you.

Protective : as I mentionned before, he won’t hesitate to kill anyone who might bother you. For him you far too precious for this world, you’re bringing him peace, your his heaven and there no way someone would take you away from him.

Besides no matter how hard you tried, he still believes that you need protection because the whole world is insane and you’re not ready for that. He also knows that he get a lot of ennemies because of what he did, so he has to be near just in case. No matter how hard you tried, he would always ask you to be careful (and would always have his eyes on you just to be sure). He is aware that betraying the church would give him a lot of ennemies who might try to take you away as an hostage.

Jealous : he is a possessive man fight me on this. I can see him sending death glare at everyone who might look at you for too long.

This jealousy came from différents things : First since he is a touch starved baby he wants all your attention on him, he doesn’t want someone to enjoy what he should be the one to experiment. Second he knows that you are out of his league, he doesn’t deserve you you’re a whole light while he is nothing but a shadow. He was blessed by your love for him and there no way he would share this. Third, I can picture him as a primal man, no matter how hard he works to be a monk a good believer, I’m pretty sure deep down there is an alpha.

The green knight Aka Gawain

Emotional : he might be a strong soldier, one of the best fey’s protector this man is a huge teddy bear. I’m pretty sure he is always touching his S/O : taking their hands, hugs them, kiss them. It’s written on his face he is clingy fight me on this.

In addition I believe he is pretty sensitive and might feel when something is wrong with you. Each time something happen he will always be here reminding you that he is here, nothing is going to happen, you’re going to be fine. He is pretty easy to read actually although he claims that he can keep secret and anything (which is true) he can’t lie to you. You just have a power on him, he get overwhelmed everytime you’re here. So if he is hiding something all you have to do is to look at him right into his eyes and he would give up.

Protective : not a surprise. He probably lost his whole family and some of his friends as well so he won’t let something happen to you.

He might be even difficult than Lancelot, because he can be pretty bossy (especially because he works a lot as a leader) , he will order you to stay at your place and to not leave until it’s very necessary (meaning someone is in your house and you need to run away otherwise it’s never necessary for him). He just can’t loose you, it will break him. Also he tends to be distracted because fo you, you just had this power on him.

Loving : As I said before the man is clingy, but it’s more than : his eyes are screaming « I love Y/N ». He sweats love. I can’t explain he is vibing his love.

That’s why he is always close to you, always holding your hand, always kissing you (his kiss my god deep and slow to appreciate every second of it the type to take your breath away). When this man loves he L O V E S. When you’re in private he tends to be pretty clumsy which tends to get well... deeper when you two get intimate. Even when you’re not around people can tell when is thinking about you (99% of the time honestly) I won’t be surprised he is the worship type.

Romantic : I don’t know he just seems to be the kind of man of taking you into a wood walking together until finding a cute little spot with a river or something. Since he is a fey he feels pretty close to earth in general. He is always spoiling you with meaning gift, like a flower who is supposed to represent love, buying you the book you were always talking about.

Maybe this is just me, but I can totally see him doing those kind of things like dancing with you while looking tenderly at you, always showing you off, writing you letter or anything. He spoils you a lot, anytime he gets the chance to buy something he knows you put interest on he would buy without a second thought. Since he is a fey, he is closed to the nature so he might even craft you something like a flower crown or anything.

Passionate : I told you when he loves he loves, meaning everything he will do to you, he will do it while being 100% focused on you. He wants to cherish you, praises you, makes you feel like you’re a goddes in every way.

I said his kiss would take your breath away but so does his smile or his caress, he does with such an intensity. No man had treated you like this before. During intimate moment, he would always whisper sweet things into your ear, worship your body as if you were a divinity. At the end of your session you can’t feel unloved that’s absolutely impossible.

Merlin

Tease : that’s how he flirts that’s how he seduces that’s how he shows you he loves you. Although he never does this to be mean, he can’t help but giggle at seeing you being all red from embarrassment or because you’re angry at him.

Most of the time it’s a cute teasing, but when he wants to fluster you he won’t hesitate to use his skilled tongue to tease the hell out of you until you’re practically begging at him for his attention. Of course he will oblige. It’s just so natural for him that he would do it without even realize that he was teasing you. Most of the time it’s all planned, so he can get your attention without asking you to (he is so proud I swear).

Jealous : okay so Lancelot is jealous in the primal way but Merlin is on another level. He wants you to be his, he wants everyone to know that you’re taken and he won’t tolerate someone flirting with you or even staring at you.

Unlike Lancelot, Merlin won’t bother sending death glare instead he will fight them : using his power to trick them or using his silver tongue to make them feel like there nothing. Remember that scene with Lenore ? Where her future husband was talking shit about her ? All he wanted was to throw him a spell. Best believe he would the same to anyone who might be to close to you. You belong to Merlin and only him, also don’t expect him to be kind when you two would be at home after the incident.

Loving : we saw the way he was looking at Lenore, this man like Gawain vibes love. It’s just written on his face, sometimes it’s cursed cause he is alway afraid someone might use you against him.

But 99% of the time it’s a blessing, Merlin during his long life has experimented every aspect of love sexual or not. So he knows how to please you, he knows how to caress you, how to kiss you, and he is sucker of your reaction each of them are a piece of heaven for him. He is not as passionate as the green knight but you best believe that every inch of your skin would feel loved (and he doesn’t need to have you under him to do that). He has his way to look at you, anyone even people who never meet him before would noticed how he is into you.

Secretive : because he loves you and would die for you. He tends to keep a lot of things for himself not that he doesn’t trust you, but in his mind the less you know the better. It’s always a matter of what to do to protect Y/N.

So yeah he would have a secret but will never lie to you, that’s something he can’t do to you. Besides he doesn’t need that he get a pretty skilled tongue and knows what to do to bring another subject instead of answering your question. Since he tends to tease you a lot, all he has to do is to tease you so he would be able to change the subject. At some points you would notice his behavior but since he does that all the time you understood that he might keeps so secret between you two which make you sad. Maybe one day you’ll confront him about it ?

Shy : believe it or not, but the man still feels some butterflies on his stomach every times he sees you. That’s what make him shy. Because he knows he is falling in love but love can be tricky or dangerous so he is a bit afraid besides he knows he gets some reputation.

So yeah sometimes he is flustered when he hear you laughing or just sees you smile at him. He takes him time to admit that he is into you but once he admits it, this shyness will leave for a more playful Merlin. He was with a lot of people during his life, but he tends to got shy everytime you’re acting “innocent”. When you’re taking him on a walk enjoying any treasure that you got from nature, or just enjoying the simple. One day you were in a city, and some bards where playing around you couldn't help but take his hand to dance with him. That spontaneity never failed to make him feel like a teenager living is first love.

Incredibly fun things about trying to draw characters from different worlds:

My Unnamed Fantasy World Characters

Toby doesn't have pupils.

Toby and Donovan constantly look like they're in despair. To be fair that is the case but man I just can't draw 'em happy.

Dragonborns! I went easy when I first made Blackrose, but now that she's Beleroso, her design changed with her name. Also I can't draw Feydrik. Vierzyca is a breeze, though.

Tianshi, girl, please settle on a design you absolute fucking nightmare.

Cadence has a square jaw, because fuck it. Let the pretty elven queens have some variety to them.

Elf ears. I hate elf ears.

Height differences get wild once you add halflings and dwarves to the mix.

Mermaids! Both a pain and a joy!

This fucking keep note I wrote to myself for some reason:

Chain mail seriously fucking blows tho. I hate it.

If I don't have an idea of an outfit in mind, it's a long coat, pants, a scarf or neck accessory of some sort, and tall boots. There are a few exceptions, but some of the funniest ones would probably be Beleroso (she's always in a dress), Toby (I have no idea what that twink of a knight is doing), and Mina (who's constantly wearing whatever torn clothes she has on her person.)

Drawing gods in especially funny. Moirin has galaxy hair that reaches the floor. It is so hard to draw and color. Goddammit Moirin.

God knows I can't draw animals, let alone anthros and lycanthropes.

Molly's mask never looks consistent, plus turns out he's so damn pale that the mask is almost the same color as his skin.

Jadaki. Just Jadaki's whole deal.

Malori's colors are mildly biologically impossible but he sure looks cute so he can keep them.

I cannot draw weapons.

Pokémon OCs!

Lancelot has a dress code so it's easy to draw her, mostly: A dress, a pair of boots, and a hat or hair accessory of some sort.

Kostya has bandages going all the way up his arms and his flannel sleeves rolled up. Every time I draw him, I just kinda wonder what happened to warrant those this week.

James. James had no aesthetic or sense of style. I can draw him wearing literally anything and it would make sense.

I've never drawn Lancelot's mom (Annette), but I have drawn her dad (Finn) and she looks almost just like her father. Whoops. Whatever.

The other members of Kostya's league look more like champions than he does. You couldn't guess anyone's type specialty by looking at them. They're all scientists and only one of them wears a lab coat.

I don't know Polynesian tattoos. We're just going to swerve that whole debacle and figure something else out for Kana.

I have a character named after each of my Smash Bros mains in every single region I plan on making and I already know what most of them look like. I don't know why I did this to myself either but I can draw them all from memory for no apparent reason. (Lancelot is one of those characters even though she's from a canon region. She counts.)

I keep forgetting which eye Flynn is missing. He is legit missing an eye but I never remember which one.

Katsura is technically my brother's Pokemon Go character, and Kostya is mine, so their designs are based off their in-game appearance but because those look awful they're only mildly based off of those.

Finn looks incredibly soft. Like his design just looks super soft and friendly. I don't think I can ever draw him angry.

My Weird Animal World

I've gotten stunningly good at drawing catboys.

Goddamn you Leon and your stupid tail.

To hell with you too Camellia and your goddamned scales.

Fuck you Jackson! Fuck you and your stupid horns.

Lilac is a big titty goth bunnygirl gf and man I can't draw boobs.

Sarah Lee has clear skin in some parts. This sucks.

Crystal and all of her family are fucking weird.

Amber you femboy fox fuck choose a goddamn aesthetic.

Miscellaneous

I keep forgetting to give Lukas eyes. He has them, I just forget to draw them and this is just how I draw him now I guess.

Kane you bunnyboy twink nightmare why did I choose coffee bar cowboy when I was deciding on your outfit. Fuck you.

Ace and Reaper literally have no physical descriptions to them and I don't think I can draw them. What the hell you two. Ace is kinda small and Reaper is heavily scarred, but... That's it. I think Ace was a redhead but dammit that's all I have.

Ashley is a guy who can have moth wings. I can't draw moth wings.

Coyote can't actually get a fedora on due to her coyote ears and now I can't give her the full detective outfit. Guess we're just going to go full trenchcoat chaotic fashion then.

Lauren. Your boobs. Why are they so big?

Panther is a teenage superhero and I'm pretty sure half of his hero uniform is just stuff from Hot Topic. I think I genuinely just drew stuff that he found in his mom's closet, because she was most definitely a Hot Topic teenager too.

I can't draw Valka. I just can't.

There's a lot more that's just all I can think of right now.

Decided to reread Lancelot’s flashback since im here and man… man…

That noble king was so ‘correct’. How could anyone hate or despise that monarch?

However – if that was the case, then to whom should ‘his’ regret and her tears be dumped upon?

The hatred ‘he’ brought to the grave was extracted at the end of time’s long passage, and tormented ‘him’ for an eternity on the Throne of Heroes that had no end… And then ‘he’ finally heard the call from afar.

Come, mad beast.

Come, stubborn vengeful spirit. That sound from the end of time had called.

That sound woke ‘his’ long-held wish.

Had ‘he’ not been a knight.

Had 'he' been a beast knowing no honor and had no reason, had 'he' been a demon fallen into the league of beasts, maybe 'he' could have avenged this hatred and regret.

Yes, madness was the road to salvation.

A beast would not be lost. Therefore, it would not feel pain. No one expected anything of it, no one entrusted anything to it. If ‘he’ could become a beast and direct the movement of ‘his’ limbs with nothing but ‘his’ own desire –

This wish became the connection that linked ‘him’ with the end of time, and placed ‘him’ on this battlefield that ‘he’ cared and knew nothing about.

'He’ had long ago forgotten ‘his’ name, long ago forgotten ‘his’ disciplined vow. ‘His’ body only existed to perform the murderous skills that ‘his’ hands had long been drenched in. The pride that took shame in this no longer existed, and the heart that regretted was lost as well. This was who ‘he’ currently was – the existence called ‘Berserker’.

There were no regrets. To fall, to be freed, that was what ‘he’ had sought.

Moreover, the merciless hand of Fate had even arranged such an ironic rendezvous.

"... Ar… thur…”

The call that slipped out of 'his' lips no longer meant anything.

Even so, this silver swordsman who now knelt in the torrential rain was undoubtedly that person whom 'he' had both loved and hated in the past.

That noble visage and that majestic and solemn face, which innumerable hopes and blessings had been bestowed upon, was now kneeling in front of despair. Now the king knew the truth that had been hidden for so long, knew the hatred that had been buried in eternal darkness. The king forgot the pride of a monarch and mourned.

– Do you hate me so much, my friend? –

This is still SO good and SO sad. Those last few lines are just *chefs kiss*

I especially love this: “the beast in his heart cried, the knight in his heart sobbed” because it perfectly sums up the contradiction of Lancelot. He hates saber because he and guinevere lived the rest of their lives in guilt and regret with no closure, but he also loves saber because he knows she did the best she could and never blamed them. Even as he lets out all his hatred and feels vindictive glee at hurting saber he’s also sad because he knows she doesnt deserve this, not really. But all he has left at this point is to let out his feelings, even if they arent fair. This is the result of burying your humanity and feelings for so long; sooner or later those feelings explode outward in the worst way possible. Even if you were burying them for the sake of a “greater good” like duty or ideals.

Urobuchi said in one of the FZ novel notes that he took a lot of inspiration from stuff that happened in FSN (which is also why diarmuid is so similar to cu from a design/narrative standpoint) and you can really see traces of UBW Archer all over Lancelot. The noble warrior who dedicated himself to his ideals for so long that he finally broke down and when he did it was messy.

18. Suggesting to Rayshift to the point before someone dies is not a good idea, no matter how much fun it is for you to watch the "Crazy Murder Loli" die.

18a. Getting Fou'd is not a good reason to Rayshift back to your fight against Beast VI just so you can "Finish the Fucker Off".

19. Using a voice manipulator made by Merlin is not a good way to get people to be afraid when you shout a noble phantasm.

30. Turns out that breaking my own arm is not the best way to get Nightingale to calm down. Never thought Merlin would be wrong.

31. "Sure you can touch my Excalibur" is not the best way to differentiate between Arturia's Excalibur and my own when someone asks to hold it.

31a. "But mine is bigger" is not a good response when Arturia talks about how easy her seals are to remove from her Noble Phantasm, nor is it alright to use when talking about when how she made Mordred.

32. Stealing Gilgamesh's potion of youth and putting it in the Soup that EVERYONE ended up eating is the easiest way to have myself barred from missions for a week.

33. Just because people are afraid of it, doesn't mean you should hug it. Not even if Merlin says to.

34. Just because someone stole your food, does not mean you should "Call in a favor" and have Elizabeth sing until someone gives up who stole it

34a. Update: The above applies to Nero as well.

35. Just because I have an innate fear of the Lancer version of my female counterpart, does not mean I can steal her horse and run away because of that fear.

36. Making King Hassan say "Omae wa mou shindeiru" is not allowed, especially if you reply with "I'm already dead" just to mess with him.

37. You are fond of Mordred, we understand. But please stop teasing her. Calling her cute will be her death - KotR

38. We understand that being locked in a single room with Nobunaga can be hard, but saying it was like prison is not fair.

38a. Quoting an abridged anime is not allowed, especially if it has "Sluts" and "Prison" in the same sentence, we still don't know where you got that swim team outfit.

38b. Making a mini Excalibur and saying "Blade of Promised Prison Riots! SHANKCALIBUR" is not allowed at all, Edmond almost had a heart attack.

38c. It is noted that the Arthur and Nobunaga were almost forced to kiss, but utilizing time manipulation to see Romani's death and threaten him with "Spoilers" is not allowed.

39. Just because Merlin asked, does not mean you should dress up as a "Cutesy Idol" and perform a song with a voice changer on in front of a camera for his "Magi*Mari" stream, Romani has yet to heal from that wound.

40. Looking Mordred in the eye and saying "Mordred, I am your father" is not allowed, especially when you have her surrounded by all the versions of her "Father", even the ones that just look like "Him".

41. "I solomly swear I am up to no good" is not what you say while standing behind the Director in the Lost Room, she died once already, we don't need her worrying about what you will do.

41a. "Remember that time you became a Loli" is not to be said around Olga Marie after what happened after she was... Killed.

42. Quoting Kamina from Gurren Lagann is banned, especially after everyone believed you were actually erased from the throne. Only to find you a month later taking off an invisibilty cloak and sneaking into the mens bathrooms to shave.

43. Anime is fun to watch, but please. Stop trying to explain why a certain character would be within the Throne of Heroes.

Welcome Home

@silvermun Merry Christmas! There are more layers to this than I thought, but I wrote a very short chapter 1 for now. Keep in mind I wrote this at midnight in the span of two hours

For another more personal take, Shadow and Lance, while the same person on the outside, were completely unlike each other. The difference between them was jarring at first but it had soon become so normal to expect the easy compliments and bold yet private gestures of affection and loyalty that Lancelot would so readily extend that the prospect of returning home- where his relationship with Shadow was uncertain at best and tense at worst- was a startlingly unwelcome idea.

During Sonic’s eight-month reign as king of Camelot, he had quickly come to realise how contrasting this world was with his own.

For one, the monarchy and the society in King Arthur’s world were respectively leagues less chaotic and riotous than his own planet’s iron-fist governing system and glorified SWAT team, and civilisation.

However, the transfer was inevitable and he had been dreading his departure from Camelot the moment he and Lancelot had their first real talk, an actual conversation shared between two people without any titles involved. It sounds cheesy, but that was the exact moment he truly considered staying in Camelot forever. His chances with the real Shadow seemed infinitesimal and his attempts to spark something in the past had yielded no results. He knew it was selfish to expect Lancelot to be okay with Sonic using him as a knock-off replacement rather than loving him for who he was. He knew that keeping that from him was even more despicable than searching for someone else in Lance's eyes for so long that it became too natural to see anyone other than a Shadow that doesn’t exist; a person that would never return his love.

It made him sick to think that he was doing that to someone he deeply cared for and they were none the wiser to his desperate attempts at formulating a simulated relationship. That, above everything else, pushed him to finally take the leap.

The farewell, while heartfelt and moving, was gripped with hesitation.

"I know I have to go, and I know we've already found a successor for the throne-" Sonic said in a watery voice as he hugged his friend, no longer his dutiful knight. He sniffled before continuing "-but I don't want to leave you."

Lancelot laughed sadly as they separated. His eyes shone with unshed tears as he gripped Sonic's shoulders. "I know you're strong enough to move on without me, Sire."

"Don't call me that," Sonic laughed, unsuccessfully wiping away his freely flowing tears. "I'm not the king anymore."

"No, not technically." There was a small, genuine smile on the knight's face as he brought the former king's hand up to his lips. "But you will always be my king."

Sonic blushed furiously, hiding his face behind his free hand before he recalled his big reason for leaving and sighed gloomily. He reached up to gently touch Lance's cheek, a silent promise to remember him before he signalled that he was ready to go. Once Merlina opened the portal he vanished from the kingdom and appeared in Station Square.

The vastly different scenery took him by surprise. Not realising he was idly standing in the middle of the road he nearly jumped three feet in the air when he heard a car’s horn for the first time in eight months. Once he took in the speeding vehicle headed his way he bolted for the sidewalk and ran straight into a civilian, knocking himself and his victim onto the concrete.

“Hey, watch it!” The citizen scolded in a gruff voice.

“Sorry, I- Shadow?” As Shadow finally looked up, Sonic could see the second of surprise that graced his face before he returned his features to their indifferent deadpan- his resting bitch face if you will.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.”

“Well, hello to you too.”

“Where were you, you idiot? Everyone has been looking for you. You’ve been gone for weeks.” Sonic could understand that what Shadow was saying was meant to sound urgent but his words just came out sounding more nonchalant than concerned.

“Wow, really not gonna give me a chance to get settled in, are you?”

Shadow didn’t say a word, though his fractionally raised eyebrow effectively communicated his growing impatience.

Sonic sighed heavily. He missed Shadow more than he probably knows, but he was sad and tired and he just wanted to find his feet in his own world again. “Not now, okay? I’m not in the mood to be interrogated.”

Shadow apparently took the hint and let the subject drop, though he threatened, actually threatened, to get the truth from him later, which Sonic could have taken that as he was just worried about him, yet all he considered was that Shadow just wanted to figure out if G.U.N. had planned his disappearance.

“Why don’t we just take a walk. You’ve been gone for a while and you look out of place.” Shadow noted. As usual, he was the ever-observant one. He stood up from the pavement and stretched his hand to Sonic to help him up.

Sonic smiled and took his offered hand gratefully. Shadow didn’t usually take spur-of-the-moment walks with people. His unusual concern wasn’t unwelcome, but it made Sonic feel slightly uneasy considering his usual nature of just shrugging things off. Nevertheless, he accepted the offer. “I’d like that.”

And Arthur? Arthur is just socially awkward and adorable. This is the story of two men falling in love while knowing the truth about the other (even if the other doesn’t know they know). The question is can they do it in the midst of craziness, crossdressing, and colossal insecurities? Well yes, they can. But the ride to the beginning of it all is heaps better than the story of the relationship itself.

QfG Rants and Remakes part 5

Big thanks to both @agathasarmy and @yarasquad for sharing their ideas with me and believing that I could actually make a coherent rant without being too swallowed up by my emotions and hopefully I'll be able to do the same here.

P.S. Imma change the title of the next Rants and Remakes cause it's definitely not focusing on QfG anymore and it's gonna focus of AWWP so yeah...there's that to look forward too.

Chaddick & Yara + Tagatha interlude

Note: This post was originally gonna be titled "Chaddick & Yara + Mourning the Departed" and would have turned out as how it is explained below but as I was writing about Chaddick I realized that I needed to talk about something concerning Tagatha and realized that this post would have been too long for all three so I gonna move the "Mourning of Departed" in its own post. Hope you guys understand. Tagatha has a strong pull with me.

Imma actually gonna outline this cause I need to organize my thoughts and at least with this I could remember the direction that I would be heading.

First part's definitely going to talk about how Chaddick and Yara's death is bs

Then imma explain why them staying alive would have impacted the TCY storyline a lot more meaningfully (p.s. this is where the Tagatha interlude will be found)

And last (and this has been moved to its own post so stay tuned for it), I would also like to nitpick Soman's obvious lack of thought when it comes to the characters that have departed (mainly Callis and Lady Lesso and August Sader) and how it should have affected the characters (mainly Sophie and Agatha)

How Chaddick and Yara could have helped the storyline better

WARNING: I realized while writing this that I kinda made Chaddick and Yara more flawed than they are writen because I have to think about their character growth and they can't have that without having any flaws. So expect some more drama with these two than needed as I share my thoughts on how their characters could have went. They get better in the end believe me.

So I think that everyone in the fandom is one with the idea that Chaddick's death was one of the MOST worst decisions that Soman made.

As @agathasarmy said it once, Chaddick's death is more frustrating than sad because of how out of nowhere it is.

Chaddick's death felt hollow because it was a PLOT DEVICE. It didn't (or at least Soman didn't) conscider Chaddick much of a character but a means and once this happens some deaths can be very very hollow.

Like his POV chapter was very hard to read all because especially once you find out that he's dead by the end of it (SHAME SOMAN, SHAME) because his story and plot had so much potential. We weren't able to properly feel sad about his lost because we didn't get to know him better.

It just feels tragic. So much potential lost, all because Soman wanted Tedros to feel vulnerable because he lost his close friend.

WHICH SOMAN DIDN'T REALLY NEED TO DO

I explained already why this is bull and I'm gonna explain later what could have happened for Chaddick's character.

But in summary on why Soman didn't need to do it: EXPECTATIONS

Chaddick and Tedros would have been stressed out with all the expectations and comparison with Arthur and Lancelot. One wrong move could have broke them apart easily.

But Soman could have also not wanted to deal with Chaddick against his Sophie obssession so there could be that too.

Now, Yara.

Our little Soft Girl

She should not have died.

She really shouldn't have

W h y ?

Because her being alive would have impacted the story more than her death ever did. Just like Chaddick.

And if the problem was what she could have affected in the storyline in TLEA, then she could have been on the sides like. . . as Tristan from time to time or something.

Her being alive would have not affected or change TLEA at all. Like if more important characters like the Coven and the League can fade into the background then so could she.

But I really don't imagine her being in the school for New Evil with Aric as Dean. No, maybe Yuba could have hidden her with the League and she could have accompanied Princess Uma when they were getting Tedros and Agatha and then accompanied the Leuge or something.

Really it would have been that simple. C'mon.

Plus Kiko has been reduced to wreck after that. At least, with Yara being alive she could have fixed herself a bit more.

Okay

So in summary again: CHADDICK AND YARA SHOULD NOT HAVE DIED AND SHAME ON SOMAN FOR KILLING THEM OFF

Now, let's get to the juicier part, what could these two have contributed to the TCY storyline.

On Chaddick

It's pretty obvious what Chaddick's role should have been. He should have been important to the plot because his role would have been about breaking the comparison between the Past and the Present (see Soman, it could have been integrated into your canon plot) between him, Tedros, and Agatha to Lancelot, Arthur, and Gwen.

I'm pretty sure that Camelot has its eyes on these three.

It's pretty freaking convenient that they all have a predecessor to be compared to. And I'm pretty sure that it's not just Camelot who notices the pattern. I mean the whole freaking Woods read about this affair.

So Chaddick, along with Tedros and Agatha, should have been the ones that break this chain. It could have symbolized that Camelot was entering into a new, better era after a similar relationship broke it.

Like, a King, his beloved Queen and his most trusted Knight brought hope but ended in a Tragedy.

Now, another King, his beloved Queen and his most trusted Knight are skeptically judged for having the same pattern and they instead bring the Glory that first trio didn't

With Tedros, Agatha, and Chaddick united with each other bringing Camelot out of its traumatic experience with Tedros's parents, Camelot finally accepting that these three are not the same as Arthur, Gwen, and Lance and fully supporting them DESPITE the fear, would have been a much stronger message of that 'the past doesn't always repeat itself.'

Because with Rhian being known and most propably remembered as Tedros's most trusted Knight and betraying him in the end, it's like a copy of what Lance technically did to Arthur.

It just further proved that Camelot's King would always be betrayed by the ones they trust most.

Sadly for Arthur, he was betrayed by both Gwen and Lance and they left him alone.

While Tedros still has Agatha but without Chaddick the lesson simply is not learned.

Chaddick was integral to this formula because Camelot would have had to face yet another propable tragedy for their beloved King in the hands of the people he loves. With Tedros, Agatha, and Chaddick, complete, proving that they could do better despite having just a strong a bond as what Arthur and co had and Camelot accepting and trsuting this, the previous wounds would be replaced with new Hope.

Because even if that whole affair happened and ruined the Kingdom, at least they have proof that it's not always gonna happen that way.

And that's why Rhian being remembered as Tedros's Knight hurts this idea. Cause he betrayed him too.

Anyway, hopefully I made my point with this legacy thing.

Plus Chaddick and Arthur's Round Table training him. WHY SOMAN WHY?!?!?!

And now, imma explain what I think should have happened with Chaddick and how his character development and his role should have played out.

Because Chaddick is a pretty well rounded character, his POV chapter proves that he's brave, and is willing to die for his friends and what's right, and there isn't really much flaws to him aside from that he can sometimes make the most worst decisions despite being pretty wise.

I honestly cannot tell if he is stupid sometimes or Soman just does this to him cause PLOT.

Fandom I need help with this. Give me some opinions.

Like. . . he's wise enough to know what was right, examples being warning Tedros about Sophie and the first to listen to Agatha in AWWP, but also dumb or ignorant enough to bully Agatha in Book 1 and that VERY IMPORTANT THING ABOUT completely ABUSING Tedros is AWWP.

Like I'm kinda confused with him.

Well maybe we can say that he's a bit ignorant and maybe was raised with privilege so that's why he bullied Agatha in Book 1 and kinda wisened up in Book 2 about her.

But I am not excusing his attitude towards Tedros in AWWP because that was messed up. Well, AWWP was messed up so there is that but if we have to acknowledge that mess and have some closure then I vote for it to come from Chaddick and Yara.

Like maybe the reason why Chaddick is more wise now is because of that very experience. Maybe he could still be a bit guilty about it and that kinda messes with his mind cause he still thinks that Tedros is still the same boy those years ago in their second year and Rhian uses this to his advantage.

Actually, thinking about it this makes so much sense.

Like instead of AGATHA having the trust issues (thought I wouldn't completely vanish it, just not at the same level as she does in canon) it's CHADDICK that has them. Cause he's always kinda gets haunted by what happened in AWWP.

I mean Tedros replaced him with ARIC of all people when he failed to retrieve Agatha. There has to be some animosity between them since. I can imagine that Chaddick kinda felt like him and Tedros could never be as close as when they were during their first year. And he would totally understand it if Tedros never really forgave him for what happened and was at peace with it even if he didn't have enough guts to find a closure for it. He'd respect his friend first and foremost.

But then comes Tedros, all fine and inviting him to be his Knight like that would mess Chaddick up.

He propably couldn't believe it at first and maybe even kindly refused the offer at first but then he sees the heart break in Tedros's face and Chaddick realizes that Tedros really wanted this.

Tedros still sees Chaddick as his closest friend despite what happened in AWWP. And maybe after some thinking, Chaddick realizes that he still wants to have the bond with Tedros like what they had in Book 1. So he accepts.

But of course, they've changed and Chaddick still gets eaten by guilt because I think that he's the kind of person that knows that he did something wrong and wants to repent for it.

So instead of that wise friend that Tedros had in Book 1, Chaddick can't trust his judgement about Tedros because he's scared he'd go too far. So he kinda just agrees to Tedros's ideas and doesn't really give advice. Tedros kinda notices this and tries to talk to Chaddick about it but Chaddick would be all formal to him. Tedros, I don't really know, would think that it would be for his sake with the comparison with Arthur and Lance and all. So he kinda just goes along with it.

It's messy right now guys, I know, I'm kinda butchering Chaddick's character here but I promise it gets better and in my mind he'd be like this for only Book 4. He'd be Wise Chaddick again right after. Just give me a chance to explain.

So they have this kind of miscommunication thing that Canon Tagatha had in QfG instead and that would have made so much more sense and here's why;

Warning: this is officially where the Tagatha interlude starts so if you wanna skip it (why though???) find the sign that states it's the end. It's gonna be in pink too.

The fact that Tagatha was having a miscommunication failure was kinda off with me because 1) they've been over this in AWWP and TLEA. In TLEA Tedros has absolutely no problem with pushing Agatha to share more when she wouldn't and 2) he could easily read her like a book, especially when it counts. Like he could get her favorite food wrong but he always seemed to know what Agatha was having trouble with and was there to help her out and is not afraid to call her out on it (i.e. the Cinderella thing, he was on point there)

Imma provide some examples of Tedros totally getting Agatha when it counts;

THIS IS WHY TLEA TAGATHA WILL ALWAYS BE BEST TAGATHA.

I get that Agatha's insecure about herself and maybe she was kinda influenced with the Excalibur thing (but I highly doubt it though) but it's no reason for her to get to the conclusion she did at the end of QfG.

I mean girl, you were always thinking that Tedros would be a Great King in TLEA and that's why you've been so insecure about yourself. WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT???

Someone call me out on this PLEASE. I'm hurting myself by judging her too hard.

I can imagine that she would be sceptical with Tedros's ideas and kinda doubting him about it (you guys have no idea how much it hurts typing this) but I can also imagine that she would never doubt that Tedros's heart is in the right place even if she thinks that the way he gets there isn't always the best.

Like we have literal proof that Tedros gets Agatha almost like Sophie does and the best thing is that I'm sure that Tedros would think of the best in mind.

The mess in QfG makes no sense because they should be over this miscommunication bs and it should not have been a thing.

And if it was because of the stress with Excalibur and his responsibilities as King that made Tedros suddenly not get Agatha then WTF Soman!?!?!? I did not ask for this. They were literally about to die in TLEA and yet they could still joke and tease each other and have these cute little scenes with the other.

Instead I got Rhian's b*tch ass being Tedros's therapists when he knows sh*t about this boy and Agatha doubting Tedros like he did something horrible. (Well he did for trusting Rhian but i digress)

I could have had more of these cute Tagatha scenes instead. Like, is it too much to ask for these two to just show their love for each other in other ways than "I will save you" and "You're the best thing ever and I don't want to lose you for this horrible thing that I did or say" like give me small softer moments anytime.

Tedros gently teasing Agatha when she's being difficult and Agatha being totally trying not to show that she's smitten over it.

Agatha trying to be romantic at the most outrageous moments and Tedros being like "?????" but totally finding it cute.

Other character just not getting these two when they do and they are just as confused.

These are the kind of scenes I wanted from them. And if I have to use Chaddick to get it then so be it. (I'm sorry about this, I'm mostly projecting at this point and these really affecting my personal opinions on this matter but I'll try to tone it down a bit so that it's still coherent)

Note: this is the official end of the Tagatha interlude but i'm not keeping any promises that it'll be the last

Anyways, Chaddick and Tedros, they have more reasons with having communication problems because;

They have not been together for a very long time and they've both propably changed since

AWWP. So far, the two of them have had horrible experiences as the last thing that they remember about each other.

As I explained, I headcanon that Chaddick has a somewhat formed a sort of PSTD with it and is very scared that he's gonna mess it up.

I'm not even going to try to explain the PSTD thing cause I feel like I'm not gonna do it justice but I hope you get what I mean.

Chaddick must have become more unsure of himself after AWWP and he must still be trying to fit this new Tedros with the old one that he used to hang out with in Book 1. It would have been a good comparison to show that Tedros has indeed change and grown since then.

Like Chaddick kinda feels like he needs to intervene when Tedros shares a very outrageous suggestion but doesn't know how and kinda ends up in a mess.

Basically imagine Tagatha's problems in QfG and apply to Tedros and Chaddick instead.

And Chaddick would have been suspiscious about Rhian from the beginning. He's a smart savy guy afterall.

So Rhian kinda exploits this and gets the two boys against each other. Because say that Tedros and Chaddick have this big fight propably like the one when Agatha comments that Tedros was being a horrible king but Chaddick's the one that said it instead. Say that this happens around the middle of the Book and it's the final straw between them because they haven't been properly communicating and all the pressure on them. Rhian could easily worm his way to Tedros's side and replace Chaddick nicely. Cause unlile Chaddick, Rhian would make Tedros believe that HE'S the one that believes in him the most.

So they kinda fall apart and Chaddick and Tedros are trying to understand where it all went wrong.

Agatha would try to understand each side and get them to better terms again but she can't do it alone plus a-hole Rhian is butting in.

I imagine that, for me, the logical person that Chaddick might approach on his dilema with Tedros might be Ravan.

Cause the two of them basically think the same way and are usually calm and wise. The only difference would be that Chaddick's more active while Ravan's more passive and choses to observe before making a move. So he calms Chaddick down when he's being too impatient.

Chaddick and Agatha would be talking of course. And I don't know why but I imagine that they're more numb to all the gossip about the three of them especially around each other because they're both sort of level headed and wise then when they're with Tedros individually.

And I imagine this is where the Tagatha drama happens. Only after Rhian cause I wanna be clear that without him, Tagatha would have been fine. He also tries to break them up by saying that Agatha sides with Chaddick and that she doesn't have much faith in Tedros too.

Agatha's going to deny this of course (because it's all bs from Rhian) but Tedros has been too stressed and vulnerable that he sorta starts to believe it and Agatha gets frustrated that Tedros is choosing to believe Rhian when she's known him longer and after everything that they've been through.

But Tedros isn't fully under Rhian's spell. I would have put several times when they would doubt each other especially when Rhian talks crap about Agatha and Chaddick and it would be beserk button for Tedros so Rhian doesn't really go there.

Now Chaddick would be having his little personal battle with himself and Ravan and Agatha would be there to support him and give some advice.

The real kicker would have been when Rhian is adored by Camelot as Tedros's Treasured Knight, someone better than Lancelot and Chaddick kinda has a heartbreaking moment because HE'S supposed to be the one that was known as Tedros's Treasured Knight not this stranger. Not this stranger that stole everything from him especially his best friend.

Agatha hears about this and reflects the time when she gave up her own position as Tedros's queen in TLEA and remembers that Tedros knows her and all her monsters and has been the light to help her fight them.

So she and Chaddick have this talk and she tries to concinve him that Tedros wouldn't want for Chaddick to just give up on him like that. Chaddick thinks about it but is still not completely convinced but Agatha reminds him that Tedros CHOOSE HIM to be his Knight and Liege and they both have to fight for it.

It's Ravan who finally manages to get Chaddick to gear when he asks Chaddick if he's going to regret anything he should choose to either regret letting Tedros go and not fighting for their friendship or make a complete idiot of himself but fight for their friendship instead.

So Chaddick does the latter but everything is too late and the Rhian thing happens as I explained in the first Rants and Remakes post and Chaddick gets tossed into jail with Tedros.

It's in book 5 that I imagine their relationship actually starts to heal itself and they both try to get through everything. I haven't thought of all the kinks out yet but I imagine a lot of fights and Chaddick just kinda shouting what he thinks before he startsvthe regret it and Tedros being this physic and just getting Chaddick too like how he does Agatha.

Again, I haven't thought of everything yet but I'll share it when I do

Now let's move on to Yara

On Yara

Yara would have been more influencial alive then dead and I already explained why how she could have been handled in TLEA cause where I really see exploiting her is in the storyline of TCY.

With the Balance vs Chaos in mind as well as the Lady of the Lake villainess plotline, Yara could have been the answer to this.

She'd be a living reminder of everything that all the characters went through in AWWP and how horribly toxic it is to everyone. Especially those like Yara who lives in the between.

Like with the Lady plotline she would have promoted ultimate purity for both Good and Evil and doesn't believe that each side could be able to understand each other so she thinks that she's promoting Balance that way and that letting each side corrupt the other is Chaos.

She would have believed that Yara is an abomination to the Balance because she is the embodiment of the idea that you can choose some charcteristic from two sides and still be yourself.

Plus with Yara alive the other characters would be forced to rethink their ideals and how to approach this new possibility and reflect on the old ways that have been hurting the ones that are similar to her.

I imagine that Yara's gonna have an internal struggle with this like she's still trying to understand it herself and as she tries to understand it the more that the other characters do as well.

I haven't actually thought out her actual detailed storyline just yet and even though I wanna say more I know that I might butcher her character as I go on but I definitely know her importance to the possible story.

As I explained before, if in TSY was Good VS Evil and that the TCY was about Good AND Evil and how both sides need each other to grow and develop and that the importance of the School still teaching Good and Evil in its most purest form is so that they'd all have a guideline to go by but the curriculum has become more flexible with their beliefs OF Good and Evil and that every student just have shades of grey but choses to go by these either of the two and can still be a Hero or a Villain then Yara could have been the right person to show that it doesn't matter if your not completely on one side and was given the characteristics of the other, it matters what values you choose to follow despite it and how tou choose to use it to help everyone else for the better.

Cause it's canon already that it doesn't matter what they are, it's what they do that counts.

NGL I'm not completely satisfied with how I explained Chaddick and Yara I feel like I didn't do them justice here and I will definitely get back to this when I have organized and fleshed out my thoughts on them

One, Finals happened today. I'm just going to rapid-fire this. Winners will be bolded.

Round One: Bea/Nessa, Melony/Marnie, Deneb/Bede, Milo/Raihan.

Round Two: Bea/Marnie, Deneb/Raihan.

Now, Bea and Deneb are both Fighting-type specialists. It was a long match, resulted in a tie and it's up to the fans who's winning. I don't know, but style points were something I didn't expect and did not want to expect.

I did, however, look back at my poses and outfits throughout the years and wow... I'm not winning any style points. Being Champion just deletes your fashion sense.

Two, Ahbean has a tendency to eat batteries and drink things she's not supposed to. She is a Toxitricity, this is normal behavior for Toxitricity, they'll actively seek out "bad things" as meals and snacks. Prevent this. She's got a tougher stomach than most, but it looks like she's down sick, meaning I'll probably have to use a different pokemon in the Championship Match if it's serious. I'm hoping it's just food poisoning, but if it's not I'm going to have to get either Marzanna (Glaceon, mild guy.) or Raijin (Boltund, family dog.) out.

Three, Merlin has decided that I'm too stressed, and will occasionally teleport into my room. Instead of smacking me around, as a wild one would, she instead decided to use her tentacle as an arm and physically drag me to the kitchen or hug me. This is rather usual for Hatterene owners, if the Hatterene likes you.

Four, Thievuls will make a purring noise when they're happy and it's soooooo sweet. If I remember correctly, only feline pokemon can purr and even then not all of them, but vulpine pokemon can make a "murr" sound that's close enough.

Merlin Season 3 | TV Show Review

Summary

These are the brand new adventures of Merlin, the legendary sorcerer as a young man, when he was just a servant to young Prince Arthur on the royal court of Camelot, who has soon become his best friend, and turned Arthur into a great king and a legend.

Thoughts

Not the most entertaining season as of right now, and hold onto your horses before you come charging at me. I said that because I’m not done with the entire show yet. I still have two more seasons to devour. Although Merlin Season 3 isn’t the most entertaining, it’s not actually the worst out of the three season I had watched.

Plot

Considering the fact that the first two seasons showcased a kindhearted Morgana, I think Merlin Season 3 is used as a bridge to Morgana’s evil self. In this season, we still see moments of vulnerability or fear in Morgana which I’m not complaining about, I actually enjoyed those small moments. I also liked that in season three, we see that she came back angry at Merlin’s betrayal, fed up at Uther Pendragon’s hatred for magic and a thirst for everything she’d lost over the years. And, it was not until the last few minutes that her final straw was pulled. I sure hope this is where the fun and action begin.

Cast (characters, character development and cast’s acting, etc.)

You know, for a show focusing on Merlin and a season focusing on Morgana’s path to total darkness and evil, where is Merlin’s magic? There is a severe lack in that. Yes, I do dislike it when Merlin uses his magic to save Arthur Pendragon without the latter knowing but I did watch the show for Merlin and his magic.

On side note, thankfully, there’s always Gaius and Lancelot who appreciate what Merlin can do but can’t share.

Additionally, I really thought Gwaine would be Lancelot 2.0, where he holds the knowledge of Merlin’s secret too. Unfortunately, all I got from Gwaine was everything except knowing about the secret. For that very reason, Gwaine is still a tiny step behind Lancelot in my list of favourite Merlin characters.

Finally, what is the point of Morgause? I never liked the character Uther but even he was so much more interesting to watch than this season’s Morgause. Really, pull Morgause out of the picture and Morgana will still be able to do as much harm to the Pendragons. I found her character in this season so pointless despite doing an acceptable job acting the role.

I really think Merlin Season 3 could have been fun to watch if not for Morgause and the whole Cenred business.

Conclusion

With the end of Merlin Season 3 came Arthur’s round table of knights, the Excalibur in the stone and Morgana turning full-on dark. I know I am in it for a ride now. I just really want to know more about Emrys. I had been preventing myself from researching on the whole Emrys identity. So, please don’t disappoint.
