So iv slowly been working on a The Sun and Moon Show fic.

I've been on the fence about posting anything of it all. Mostly due to the fact I cant edit for spelling in google docs any more and my spelling is HORRIBLE!!!!

However a good friend convinced me to try anyway.

However on that note I am a newer TSAMS fan and am no ware near caught up with it. I have only gotten to "Eclipse's SAD ORIGIN STORY in VRCHAT" and am trying to avoid to many spoilers. I also have stayed largely away from the fandom for that reason This story starts after Luner gets his own body but before blood moon dies. This fic is about magical humanoid versions of Sun and Moon and Eclipse (security breach) seeking out TSAMS Moon for help. After this TSAMS Sun and Moon wind up mixed up in a second Celestial family's drama. OCs will be used when necessary to fill empty rolls. The fic is under the cut. If anyone finds it interesting ill try to continue it and probs post it to my AO3 when i have time and energy. I also very much need help finding a title for this >.<

It was quiet for the moment. Lunar had his own body and was doing rather well, killcode was active but had made a deal with moon. Sure there creator said something about a sister named earth showing up at some point, but she hadn't yet. Blood Moon was a problem and potentially Eclipse but it was unsure if he was even out there any more.

There where problems yes but at the moment they were not in Suns face and he had a moment to do the daycare cleaning he had not had the time to do in detail. Yes a quiet day to clean and record some videos was exactly what he needed

SHOMSH

Sun Fliped around to the ball pit as the tell tail sound of an interdental portal opening. Moon was home Luner was home. who the hell could be coming threw there?

in the ball pit where two largely human looking figyers. they looked alot alike as they clung to each other. One had golden hair and clear crystals floating in the air around his heads like suns rays. the other had white hair, blue crystal rays that had orbs and crescents at there bottom. Both looked haggard as they held each other. They stood even hunched over weekly taller then any human hell they were tall enough standing strait they were as tall as Sun. there skin was an inhuman color the one with golden hair and clear crystal rays looked like his body was made of tarnished gold, the other with the blue crystal rays looked to be made of silver. There facial features were largely human and if Sun where to guess they seemed to be in there early 20's

The one with blue crystals looked at sun "Is there a Moon here? one with magic?" his tone was desperate bordering on panic

"I'm not answering that untell I know who you are!" Sun answered coming over the barrel with the gun hidden in it in his hand

"I'm Eclipse, this is my brother Sun. There's dimensional counterparts to us here" the one with blue crystals explained watching as the robot Sun stiffen at that "Please our brother Moon is sick and dying. WE need another Moon with magic to help him" The not human not seeming to be there Eclipses counterpart Eclipse begged.

"Well I'm Sun, " Robot Sun said looking skeptical

"Thank fuck" The not robot Sun said stumbling forward and nearly falling untell Eclipse grabbed him "Please at least let us talk to him." The not robot Sun's voice became high pitched with strain.

"how can he help with your moon" Robo Sun asked skeptically

"I want to know that to" Moon, the robotic one, Said as he landed from his jump off the balcony. It was rare another version of him or Sun came by.

Not Human Sun looked at Robot Moon like a man offered water in a heat wave. "His magic has become completely unstable. Only another Moon with magic can stabilize it it."

"Please this is the last jump we can make" begged the Not Human Eclipse

"What happens if i don't?" Robot Moon asked. He knew he probably would go help but it was best to have all the info you could. Not Human Eclipse looked sick and stuttered some before Non Human Sun took charge "We end his suffering and seal the magical wounds left in me and Eclipse before we fall ill to"

"Please" begged the Not Human Eclipse "We don't want to lose our brother" Robot Moon sighed "Fine Suns coming with me" "Thank you" Said Not Human Eclipse "Its a big jump but we have an anchor at our uncles house to make it easier" "Most of our family is there but they won't bother you while you work" Not Human Sun assured them The home was despite the oppressive air of dread, cozy. The walls were painted with abstract murals wherever a shelf or hanging display for knickknacks wasn't. There were large windows but each was covered with a blackout curtain. The many lamps were all low bathing the space in a soft warm light that wasn't really strong enough to read in. It was clear under normal circumstances this home would be welcoming and easy to relax in.

However in this moment the comfortable couches were taken up by more creatures like the Not Human Sun and Eclipse all with there heads hung. One with wrinkled dress shirt on and black slacks stood from his spot between two much younger members of his species. He looked a lot like Not Human Sun with crystal rays that spun around his head those his seemed to be made of amber rather then clear. His skin looked like Bronze and his four arms were folded close to his body clearly from nerves "Oh thank fuck" he said his voice tiered and gravelly "I'm guessing your the Moon?" The Humanoid that was sitting next to the one that got up launched to his feet. This one was small and short probably no more then 5 foot with a singular large crescent crystal in light blue floating over his head. His blond hair was a mess and he was so shyly sunk into his huge sky blue hoodie it was hard to see much of him. "You found another Moon who can help?" he asked desperately the voice just like Luner's "Luner lets not get in there way" Said the other Not Human this one with liquid gold shaped into ray shaped points. Robot Sun looked at this one in fear as he realized this sounded like there Eclipse... If he hadn't gone threw puberty yet. This one was taller then the Luner with black hair and skin that looked like copper. The Not Human Luner glared at him. "Soler is right Luner" said a truly massive one of these beings. With 6 arms standing easily taller then Robot Sun or Moon even while sitting. He was dressed all in black and sounded much like a very tiered KillCode. In his arms was a small child of there species dressed in red with several spinning star shaped smooth crystals that were a blood red. The child couldn't be more then 7 and was simply refusing to let go of the larger beings coat. The Not Human Luner rolled his eyes but went to sit back down led by Soler.

The one with rays and four arms sighed deeply and looked at the last being in the room. This one also four armed but was distinctly fem with a set of swooping crescent horns going down the back of her silver hair. "Let me take the other Moon to see ours Albedo. You comfort Furry and our Nephews" Albedo sighed and his four arms dropped to the side. "Alright Lune." he turned to Robot Sun "Come sit with us ill enplane what i can while your Moon works" Robot Sun looked nervously at his Moon Robot Moon shrugged and followed Lune up stairs while sun went to sit with the other. The Not Human Sun and Eclipse had already stumbled to a free couch and simply collapsed in it.

Lune opened a door at the top of the homes stairs. It was a bedroom and completely dark. On the bed was what Moon didn't need to be told was his counterpart in this world. The being had porcelain like skin that was off color like it was sick. Long black hair tangled with the feathers of raven wings that twitched slightly sometimes. The being had one crescent with and orb between its points. They weren't floating however just kinda flopped on the pillow. Robot Moon could feel the magic gushing out of the Not Human Moon like an arterial wound. "You must enter his mind with magic, Find him and stabilize his magic. Model it after your own, but if he insist something goes some ware do so. You have one chance Moon, but once your magic connects with this Moon it should stabilize him for however long you need to work." Lune said softly "Should you be able to do this all of us will be in your debt" Robot Moon nodded becoming more and more horrified at watching a version of himself so sick "yah I got it from here" Lune nodded and left the room quietly shutting the door behind her "Better get to work" Muttered Robot Moon as he reached out to the other Moon casting the spell to enter his mind.

The other Moons mind was a haze of dark clouds. In the center sat the being his hair in his face shoulders shaking in sobs. Before him a large low table colored green with dozens of little colorful blocks no bigger then the wooden kind you would give a toddler scattered over the table, the other moon and the foggy ground below. "Hay" said Robot Moon

Slowly the other Moon looked up and for a brief moment hope flashed in his eyes. His brothers had done it his brothers had managed to find another Moon and one with magic.

The Robot Moon sat across from the Not Human Moon. Up close it was clear the beings hair was matted, tears streaked his face. His shoulders where slumped in defeat and sorrow. "So they found one?" "Clearly" Said Robot Moon "What's all of this" he gestured to the blocks scattered about "Its a metaphorical manifestation of my magic" the other Moon said weekly picking up what looked like a minecraft grass block. "It looks like a minecraft diorama" Robot Moon said picking up a block. Like someone hitting a gong magic reverberated for a second hard between them.

Slowly other Moon took a deep breath starting to relax. "Eh magic can appear in weird ways in the mind. Though I'm guessing MineCraft is your worlds version of CraftyBlocks" "That is such a dumb name" Robot Moon said setting the grass block down on the table where it felt right. The block glowed slightly and seamlessly attach itself to the table. "Of course MineCraft isn't much better"

Unused outline for a Good Omens/Doctor Who crossover I never did but apparently had a lot in mind for!

The Doctor notices the appearance of Atlantis and the Kraken and arrives shortly before they occur to figure out why they suddenly exist. “The thing is- I know they don’t exist. I wasted a good century of my life trying to sate that particular curiosity.” He reads a large energy signature covering Britain [because of Adam]. “Oh of course.” He arrives at the Bandstand when Crowley and Aziraphale split up. He decides to follow Aziraphale for a short while.

The Doctor only hears Crowley while he follows Aziraphale, he doesn’t get the chance to see his face before Crowley takes off.

Aziraphale notices him in the bookshop after his call with the Metatron. “How in Heaven did you get in here? What-” then Shadfield arrives. The Doctor thinks it best not to be seen by him and hides behind some shelves. He gets trapped when part of the ceiling falls on him because of the fire. Crowley finds him when he comes for Aziraphale.

“Who the hell are you? Where’s Aziraphale?” “What- You- I mean- He sorta just, disappeared- Why have you got my face?” “Your face? I can promise you I’ve had it a lot longer than you can imagine.” “I seriously doubt that.” “I don’t have time for this! Enjoy your last days humanity; I’m buggering off! Enjoy hell on Earth!” “Wait wait wait- what do you mean?! Wait!” The Doctor scans the car with the screwdriver so he can track him down.

The Doctor follows the screwdriver until he relocates Crowley in the bar. “seems like you didn’t get far. I thought you were leaving.” “How’d you know that?” “I overheard your conversation with your… friend. Sorry about that by the way. Also you were sort of- shouting about it. Quite a lot.” Aziraphale appears in the same seat the Doctor is sitting in, who is very bewildered by the sudden change in character and one sided conversation. He is utterly ignored. ”Hold on hold on- what’s happening? Usually when the end of the world is coming about I’m the first to know- just a bit out of the loop this time it seems.”

The Doctor sees Tadfield on the map in Agnus Nutter’s book and starts heading there on his own. He runs past Crowley’s car and waves cheekily. When the wall of fire erupts Crowley speeds past him in the Bently he does the same.

The Doctor uses the TARDIS to get out of the M25 and finds Adam, accompanying him to the Tadfield Airbase. “I’m your backup.” “I didn’t know we had backup, Adam.” “Can you do that now too?” “I dunno.” crowley shouts at the Doctor when he passes with the kids into the airbase “You again?!” The Doctor warns Adam “Don’t hurt anyone. It will haunt you for the rest of your life, and you’ve still got a lot of it left to haunt.” Adam makes the soldiers sleep then.

The Doctor attempts to step in front of Adam when Crowley and Aziraphale try to shoot him, but Adam freezes him. “Don’t. He’s just a child. He can’t help where he comes from. Don’t.”

“Didn’t that use to be your sword?” “What.”

Adam forgets to unfreeze the Doctor until after Armageddon is avoided. “Someone move me! Now! Get a dolly or something!” Aziraphale hurriedly drags him away from Satan’s emergence. “Well- In the beginning-” “Are you- are you talking about the bible?”

“It looks like the devil is coming.” [Doctor:] “Ah well, nothing new then.” [Aziraphale:] “Excuse me?”

“Now… most of this has been me running about trying to figure out what the hell is happening; I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced.” “I’m Aziraphale and this is Crowley.” “And… What exactly are you two...?” “Us? Whatever do you mean?” Aziraphale looks panicky. Doctor is curious by the reaction. “I mean what species are you?” “Species?” “You’re obviously not human; I’m pretty sure one of you stopped time.” “Well- it’s quite complicated really- you see-” “I’m a demon; he’s an angel.” “Oh alright.” “You don’t believe us.” “I’ve seen a lot- including creatures who thought they were celestial beings- gods even.” [Crowley:] “Surely you’ve delt with one or two unbelievers, angel?” “Yes, but usually they don’t say it to my face.”

Hello! I am back on my bullshit with thinking up two new story ideas!

This post will only cover one of the story ideas, but I’ll post another with the other story idea, so please look forward to that! Content warning for mentions of death, blood, and torture. Tagging: @maple-writes, @pen-of-roses, and @drabbleitout! I have written a scene for this story before, but I never introduced it! Here is the scene!

So, this is a new world, and about a thousand years before the story starts, Celestials ruled the world. They felt they deserved to rule, and that they should do whatever they wanted to the species of the world. I haven’t really thought of any other sentient species at the moment, just humans. But humans do have random magic abilities, like the main character has portal magic! But one time, a thousand years ago, the Celestials went too far, destroying a whole country because they wanted to. The main character was in the country at the time, and they survived, but their leg was irreparably damaged. They’re devastated by the loss, and they work together with their sister and eight other people to kill one Celestial (out of the ten). They each drink the Celestial’s blood, and that powers their magic up and makes them immortal, and they kill the rest of the Celestials with that power. But with that immortality and large boost in power came the belief that they were the new gods of the world.

The main character’s sister changed their names to be god-like, using the term of respect for their culture: ending their names in -yr. So, the main character’s name was changed to Zephyr. Their sister was named Fayr. And so on. Fayr was the one who insisted that they were the new gods, and she got the world to see them as gods, partially through one of the group who could hear around the world with her enhanced magic, so she could hear any prayers people made to the gods. They took over the place where the Celestials had been living: the floating islands called Arcadia. And Fayr became the leader of the gods because she was deciding everything for them, and no one challenged her.

Zephyr was pretty apathetic about the whole “being gods” thing. They didn’t flaunt power, and they just quietly helped the people they could, vowing they would never become like the Celestials. Because of their leg, they got a cane to use when they needed, and the cane looked like a snake, and when they didn’t need it, it turned into a snake bracelet they could put on their arm. They mostly kept to themself as the years kept going.

And the other gods got champions by having humans they liked drink their blood, which gave those humans smaller boosts to their magic and immortality. Skylar and Holt are two of those champions, so they will be in this! And one of the Celestials survived the initial killing, and she had a child named Kallias. The followers of the Celestials drank her blood that she willingly gave them, so they are fighting against the gods. Fayr has proclaimed that they are demons. And she found Kallias as a baby and took him to Arcadia and used the magic of one of the other gods to control him, and she had him turn into his dragon form at one point so she could cut off his wings and permanently keep him trapped on Arcadia. He’s looking for a way to escape at the start of the story, and Fayr has kept him a closely guarded secret from most of the other gods.

So! Back to Zephyr. About 200 years before the story started, they finally took on a champion of their own. Ashia was born to parents who followed the demons, and because Ashia’s magic was so potent that it was even trying to kill him, they offered for him to be a sacrifice to the main demon, Tirash. He believed in the gods, however, so he ran away when he could, and as his magic was slowly killing him, he begged to the gods, especially Zephyr (since they had been paying special attention to him), and Zephyr came and had him drink their blood so he would become their champion and not die. Ashia and Zephyr became very close and became lovers during those years, but something happened to cause Ashira to leave.

About 50 years before the story started, Zephyr heard of some thieves ransacking the country they had found refuge in a thousand years ago before the Celestials destroyed it. And Zephyr got angry. So angry that they went to the country and placed a massive portal underneath it and brought it completely underground, taking all the thieves and other people trying to find refuge in the ruins down with it, burying all of them alive. Ashia was horrified by what they did, so he left, finding like-minded people and creating their own safe haven for people who denounced the gods and didn’t want them ruling over them. Fayr condemned him and named him a demon too, but she couldn’t fight effectively against him because of how powerful his magic was. So, he was basically left alone. Zephyr was hurt by him leaving because he didn’t even say anything. He just left.

But in the present time, Zephyr has left the gods too, because they got tired of all the posturing and pretending that they’re gods. They changed their name to Nyx and became a thief, only using small portals. They become a thief because it’s fun, and they were caught a little while ago when someone was trying to assassinate the people they were trying to steal from, and they got their arm almost chopped off, so they were caught by the police, and they were given nanobots to heal the wound, but also as a monitor. Because the nanobots also hold an AI who watches over them and telling the police whenever they escape. They name him Steve, and he’s amazing. But the police are actually decent, where they really are trying to rehabilitate people and give them opportunitites to make an honest living and not have to resort to stealing. The only problem is that Nyx enjoys stealing. They like not being seeing as a god anymore.

During all of this, Fayr is looking desperately for Nyx because she has twisted her love for her sibling into a need to keep them with her and control them. And she also destroyed a whole country because it was attacking another country that she is basically the god of, so she sent her magic on all the people of the country. Her magic is either healing or sickness, and she sent a mist of sickness over the warring country that can’t be cured, so the inhabitants are slowly dying. She’s gotten more and more controlling and like the Celestials before her.

But yeah! That’s what I have right now! I hope this makes some kind of sense! Thanks for reading!

Ultimately just a soulmate AU with a bunch of bells and whistles. Planned out pre-Nightbringer release, it follows the life of an OC named Merry, who was born into some vaguely Medieval version of the human realm. Merry is something called a witchling, and BOY is the church pissed about that. Some nonsense happens, and she ends up in the care of The Seven Rulers of Hell, shortly before the demon king goes into his big big sleep. I wouldn't exactly call it canon compliant, especially now that we have Nightbringer, but I'm attached to it and it seems fun to write.

Culture Shock - OC!MCxEveryone

Multi-Chapter Fanfiction

Obey Me: Poly, Fucked Up, Monsterfucker Edition. Follow the adventures of OC Ananiel Bathsheba Grigori as they're whisked away to a much more traditionally demonic version of the Devildom we know and love. Raised by a single father, and adopting his love of the occult, they got into demonolatry at a young age, which ends up being right fucking embarrassing once their new housemates find out. Culture Shock will be a look into what it means to be a master of demons in this less-than-rosy AU. So yeah, more demonic demons, more esoteric angels, an AFAB goth dommy mommy MC, an exploration of the fucked up cultures of heaven and hell, and Too Much Smut, all wrapped up in the package of the exchange program.

Diavolo is Not Pleased when he finds out, and though they're surprisingly good at hiding, when they're eventually ferreted out he ends up with 7 weird kids with PTSD he has to figure out what to do with.

Myth and Magic AU

Multi-chapter Fanfiction

Set in a world where the three realms all exist in one space. High fantasy, more monsters, ancient era. Set just after the brothers fall. They find themselves dispersed throughout the world with no way to find one another in vastly different bodies than the ones they're used to. Alone, they must each figure out how to find their way back together. Might be a series for each brother, might be one fic with alternating POV. Definitely a wide cast of original characters. Not super romance focused, though. They'll likely start out locked into their final demon forms, so big fuck off monsters, with an unknown condition that has to be met to allow them to shift down into lower forms.

That event where we got sucked into a movie and Satan and Levi were our familiars fundamentally changed me as a person. Miko’s trust on the Eternals had increase significantly, mostly because of Makkari and Druig. However, it didn’t mean fae no longer feel apprehensive around them. For a reason she couldn’t fathom yet, fae could sense that someone amongst them was hiding something crucial. She couldn’t tell where that feeling root from exactly, thus fae ultimately just decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.

The Eternals and Miko — faers distinction was made by faers mortality — were all gathered around a table of sorts, yet were all situated a few steps away from it. Phastos was standing the closest to the table since he was leading the meeting.

Miko tried her best to give faers full attention, but the meeting was too similar to how S.H.I.E.L.D. and Avengers’ debriefing meetings usually go. As much as fae knew how crucial it was to catch everything being discussed, all the details just bore faer — prompting her mind to travel elsewhere. It didn’t help that most of the jargons being used were merely explained to her thirty minutes ago, either.

Thankfully though, fae had been an Avenger and an agent long enough that she had mastered tuning back in at the right moments.

As a result, she had no trouble piecing the gist of the mission: They’ll channel the Uni-Mind, which would connect all their powers and let one of them — Druig — have enough energy to put the Celestial Tiamut to sleep and stop the Emergence.

"Yes, Miko?" Phastos called on faer after spotting her raised hand.

"Do I have to have my memories to connect to the Uni-Mind?" Fae understood that they needed every Eternal on Earth to connect, that way the Uni-Mind would be as powerful as it could be. However, all throughout the meeting so far, they all talked as though connecting to the Uni-Mind was as simple as being an Eternal — like such ability came with who they were.

And maybe it was. Just not for faer. Not with her memories and immortality wiped. Not when fae’s no longer an Eternal . . . not really.

"You shouldn’t need to, we just have to teach you how to connect."

"Will that involve me channeling my powers?" Part of the quick introductions they were courteous enough to do before the start of the meeting was to introduce and demonstrate everyone’s abilities to faer. Most of them, she noticed, involved cosmic energy — saved for Phastos’ genius intellect and Gilgamesh’s extraordinary strength. "Powers that I don’t have?"

Miko was also quick to notice how she had neither kind of ability: no cosmic energy manipulation, no exceptional humane capability. As a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and later an Avenger, fae was merely someone who has mastered her weapon of choice: a retractable staff. She never possessed any superpower.

"That one might be a problem."

Chaos started with fire.

That was how the Eternals thought of explaining faers power to Miko.

And, frankly, she had absolutely no idea what that could possibly mean.

Human civilization boomed when they learned how to harness fire. With the introduction of fire, humans soon learned how to use it to their advantage — first to cook their food and keep them warm, later to drive revolutions.

"Hold on," Miko interrupted, slightly offended for a reason fae didn’t really understand. "Are you implying that I caused the Emergence?"

The Emergence’s key ingredient was to have the planet accumulate enough energy from large intelligent populations. With the discovery of fire, the human population was able to reach the heights necessary for a Celestial to be born from Earth (regardless of the depleting population of other species).

"You didn’t introduce fire to humans, if that’s what you’re thinking," Gilgamesh tried to calm faer down before she started overthinking. "We’re not that old."

"Then what’s all that background about chaos being connected to fire—"

"You showed them how to play with fire," Sprite tried to help clarify, but it didn’t really have the effect she was expecting. "With fire being your element, you showed humans how to have fun with it."

". . . And that was why the Library of Alexandria burned down!" Kingo supplied happily — quite enjoying how the horrified look in faers face deepened with each word. "Phastos was so furious at you then, he basically never talked to you after that."

Miko looked at Phastos, silently asking for a confirmation about Kingo’s words. Much to her dismay and absolutely horror, he merely nodded.

I can’t let Peter find out about this. Or Bruce. Or Tony. Absolutely not.

"Okay, now I’m thinking I’m actually better off without my powers." Miko announced. "That way I don’t add more chaos into this already chaotic world."

But the world needs Akosh right now, Makkari signed, not Sinra.

The distinction almost made Miko laugh. They’re both faer, except one’s an immortal with fire powers and the other’s a mortal with an expertise. Both have the same mission, but they never existed at once.

All because Akosh and Sinra don’t deal with the same threats, even if they’re ultimately protecting the same thing.

"Akosh’s core is chaos," it was Druig’s turn. Albeit Miko didn’t say any confirmation about changing her mind, it was still obvious to the rest that fae once again wanted to activate her powers. Perhaps not by choice, but by the urgency of the situation. "You’ll need to find beauty in the chaos of the flames—"

"—And control that chaos," Thena interrupted with a warning, "before it consumes you."

"Celesvogel"

Details about my angel 'kintype

Honestly, I expected to wait at least several weeks, if not months, before making this writing, as I figured I’d have to do so much introspection and a lot of letting the thoughts just sit and simmer for an extended time before I would feel at all confirmed about saying I have a sixth ‘kintype. But I also realized that I can trace back feelings and experiences of this ‘type for over twenty years and I’ve actually been thinking on and off for the past few months what kind of alterhumanity I experience in regards to angels, especially since angel-hearted just didn’t seem to fit enough (though I may be angel-hearted, too, or it could just fall under the larger “monster-heartedness” I experience in relation to animalistic humanoids). Once I actually stopped to question why I wasn’t ever considering myself to have an angel ‘kintype and realized my reasoning basically came down to it “being too symbolic” in origin and that now I don’t see that as a valid sole reason to exclude it as a ‘kintype, a flood of thoughts came in and occupied my mind for the better part of a day relating to this angel aspect and why it may be a ‘kintype for me.

I did question if it’s really even an integral, deep part of myself and my identity and I realized the experiences I’ve had that provide a “yes” in answer to that. This is rather different than the processes I went through to figure out my other ‘kintypes (as either what kind of animal/creature they are or in just verifying to myself whether they were ‘kintypes or something else), but I feel like I sort of ‘blocked off’ part of my angel self, I created a kind of dam from recognizing it as the level and type of aspect it now seems to have always been, or at least developed into many years ago. Sure, I fully admit I could be wrong about this and maybe months or years down the road I will change my mind and realize this aspect isn’t a ‘kintype. But for now, I feel comfortable and good about believing it is a ‘kintype.

Because this kind of angel is so different from how most angelkin describe being such, even though it does hold notable similarities to popular and historical concepts of angels, so I’ve decided to coin my own ‘species’ term for it: celesvogel (based on celestial and the German word for bird, “vogel”). Heck, I already coined a species-specific term for my vampire ‘type and theropod ‘type, so this is basically right in line with that and allows me to more easily specify what kind of angel I’m talking about in my writing. Although it does seem to be largely based on my personal symbolic associations with the concept of angels, the experience itself is more than just symbolic. I’ve put together information about celesvogels based on my experiences and on, essentially, noemata I have of them--an intuitive knowledge that I pieced together through questioning different attributes and such of them.

I read what various other angelkin described as being the main attributes of what makes angels actually angels and found that though I related to and agreed with some of it, there was a lot I didn’t. In particular, most of them I read had largely Abrahamic, especially Christian, concepts of angels which I don’t connect with. I do not view celesvogels as being “servants of a monotheistic God”, or probably to any deities--they aren’t servants, at least not as followers in service to something. They don’t act the way they do because a higher power commands them to, they do it because that is how they are mentally and instinctively wired to act. They do hold some similarities in mind to that of humans, but they are far from mentally (let alone in body or power) being humans and shouldn’t be thought of as needing to act in a way that is “more human”. Due to their total lack of want, need, or ability to reproduce (they don’t have reproductive organs, for one, nor any other means to reproduce), I deciphered that they are probably created by some form of deity or other powerful entity, but not in the sense to be servants to that entity. Rather, they fulfill a purpose intended by the deity through their acts, behaviors, and instinct because that is just how they are as creatures, even without them having any knowledge or concept whatsoever of that particular deity or any deities, let alone them having conscious knowledge that what they are doing is specifically because a deity *wills* it. They are as much servants of a deity as whatever organism, including humans, are servants to evolution. They don’t act as they do because they are commanded to, they do it because it is in their inherent nature.

This, however, makes the concept of their free will kind of grey. I feel like they do have the ability to make at least some choices freely while others they do because that’s just how they are wired and they don’t even have the want to go against them. Again, this goes back to what I mentioned earlier to not try to “humanize” them--just because extensive free will is so important to us as humans, that doesn’t mean it holds the same weight for all creatures, and that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. A creature doesn’t have to be oh-so human mentally and behaviorally in order to be “valid”, let alone good or even helpful. I feel that, ultimately, they still choose to make the actions they do toward or about a charge or whatever is in their stewardship--they still have to balance complex situations with questions of morals and ethics, including in ways that, honestly, I don’t fully understand right now--I feel I am part celesvogel, not fully one, when it comes down to it. Their actions have consequences, whether good, bad, or otherwise, and the actions of their charges have consequences, too, which the celesvogels have to weigh what to do or not to do. They have the ability to think and reason, and to learn from circumstances. To my understanding, they can’t “fall” since that would kind of go against what I described above.

The concept of angels as messengers of the divine doesn’t resonate to me for celesvogels, at the least not in any kind of direct sense of being messengers. Again, technically they may ultimately be tools, instruments, of a divine being to do whatever work it sees fit, and through that they could be seen as ‘delivering divine messages’ to their charges. Their duties involve things like stewardship to things, such as environments and ecosystems, as also being guides and/or guardians to charges (whether human or not), and even act as inspiration/creative muses. I also wouldn’t really call them warriors, but they can be very determined and fierce, especially when it comes to protecting something or someone. They aren’t mindless creatures of instinct either, nor are they devoid of emotion and personality--they have a spectrum of emotions, and such helps them bond further with and protect their charges, and they each have their own particular personality. I don’t think they have things like rank/hierarchy, including archangels, though they seem to have different roles based on the particular kind of duty they are doing (sentry, caretaker, guide, steward, etc.) that can vary over the course of their lives. Celesvogels also aren’t “fluffy” in what they do--they aren’t perfect beings, nor are they totally benevolent, and if anything they act as helpers and possibly balancers.

In regards to their bodies and appearance, they have incorporeal bodies rather than physical ones and have mental and spiritual abilities to allow them to communicate with physical beings. They are also capable of flight. I’m unsure what their forms would look like, beyond having feathered, bird-like wings on their backs, though I tend to think they have some level of shapeshifting ability--to what extent I don’t currently know, but their body form except for their wings seems to me almost arbitrary and not a big part of who, what, and the way they are. I think they aren’t particularly social with one another either and they are totally asexual and aromantic. Gender is also either null to them or fluid in the sense of changing based on shifting their forms. They also sometimes vocalize in what sounds like song--kind of like language-less choir singing. Perhaps they do it as one form of communication with their charges or even for the sake of self-expression.

Even though I don’t consider celesvogels to be “warriors” proper, I feel like they were still fierce protectors against incorporeal threats and with that they at times wielded swords or perhaps other melee weapons to use. I sometimes feel like I should be skilled in some kind of melee weaponry, and can feel the weight of a sword or some other weapon from my hand or sitting across my shoulder along with some objects evoking that sensation more when I hold them. I don’t feel remotely similar about ranged weapons, especially guns, and have retained a strong preference in fighting games toward using certain kinds of melee weaponry (particularly fond of the “Soul Calibur” game series). I remain unsure for now about whether celesvogels would receive any weaponry or fighting training or if they would just have innate knowledge of good ways to fight. I know when it comes to me in fighting games I am a button-masher who doesn't take time to think carefully about the opponent's moves and blocking or parrying them, but this is probably a lot because of my slow cognitive processing, so I actually can't think fast enough to react to the opponent's moves properly. I would like to think I could think and react faster as an actual-in-body angel. This weaponry aspect is also why the few original characters I have are wielders of melee-style weapons even though they live in a time similar to our modern era of technology and advanced guns. Though I don’t have the money nor great enough reason to seek out training to use some kind of melee weapon in real life.

Also on the subject of my OCs, my main one possesses some qualities of celesvogels. Actually, one of her names is “Angellore”, which was based on a Tristania song of the same name in which I first envisioned her. She’s a shapeshifter with a human, partially human, and fully nonhuman form, and she is a mix of human, domestic cat, and crow. In her partially human form, she has white (or mainly white) feathered wings on her back, a cat’s tail, claws, pointed ears, fangs, some feathers on the upper portion of her face, and solid black eyes. She wields a bladed staff and sharpened sais as her weapons. Angellore is also able to fly in that partially human form and is basically an “airbender” (to borrow a term from the “Avatar: The Last Airbender” universe). But it’s really just certain aspects of her personality and behavior, and the mix between feline, avian, and human which make her feel kind of “angelic”-based to me, especially a similarity to celesvogels in particular. My own experiences in being angel are marked by a similar such mix of avian, human, and other creature (perhaps feline--I already experience that from my cat theriotype and from my vampire ‘kintype, so it’s too hard to decipher currently); a blend of human and nonhuman animal.

Knowing all this, I honestly don’t even think these beings ever actually existed in this realm/universe, but heck, perhaps they could have or do. For me, this is a psychological experience, like my other ‘kintypes. As I have read and skimmed over various posts and forum threads about angelkin I feel a lack of a sense of belonging amongst them, for the most part. I can’t relate to the religious nor deity-based things, but even still, I’ve never actually found a notable sense of belonging in the therian and otherkin communities either, despite my care for them and irregular activity within them (I’ve always mostly lurked rather than been active). It’s interesting though that both my vampire and angel ‘types in some way keep me connected to the therian and otherkin communities--through my vampire ‘type I get times of being filled with wanting to have more of a voice and confidence in myself, and through angel I feel like trying to help others in some significant way.

So little background: all the characters here are part of a superhero team called the Defenders. They were united by Henry in response to a large scale threat, and the team just never dissolved after that. They went on to stop dozens of threats over the next decade.

Rex

Aka: The Dragon King

Species: Royal Dragon-Demiurge Hybrid

Personality: Intimidating, isolating, cold, blunt, but still a great leader and has people's best interests at heart

Powers: Elemental manipulation, accelerated reflexes, draconian regeneration, regenerative immortality, flight, super-strength (max strength unknown; largest display of physical strength was unmeasurable), can sense threats before they happen, natural knowledge of all modern and ancient languages and magics

Backstory: At 25 years old, Rex Foster developed his draconian abilities. He was completely normal at the time and had no idea that supernatural creatures and magic existed. He was immediately thrust into a world of said monsters and magic. He soon found himself to be a Royal Dragon, meaning he could control all of the seven elements; dark, fire, earth, energy, air, water, and light. Under the training of the previous Dragon King, Rex earned the throne and the power that came with it. The Defenders weren't formed until three centuries later. By then, Rex was greatly weighed down by the loss he had experienced in his life and had hardened himself to the world

Current life: Living among the Defenders, Rex has learned to open up again with the friends he now considers a second family. He remains with them as often as he can, staying on alert to help with threats and battles.

Power Rating (Extraordinary power scale): 126; Rex is one of the most immensely powerful creatures in the universe and falls on a whole other level than everyone else. His power is difficult to rank.

Henry

Aka: Exo

Species: Draconian (Heavy genetic modification; basically human)

Personality: Kind, extroverted, leader; has a very strict moral code that he holds his entire team to

Powers: Superintelligence; Henry fights his battles utilizing a highly advanced technological armor that puts him on par with his enemies and allies.

Backstory: Henry Callaghan is the most intelligent man on the planet and the heir to the richest tech company in the world. His father, David, was leading one final project for the company before he retired and handed control to his son. Project NANO was a peacekeeping program. Being made of microbots, it can disassemble itself at a moment's notice and reform in any shape it pleases, even if it just chooses to remain formless. The project is corrupted by an ancient artificial intelligence. Henry is then approached by another rival intelligence Mare, who warns Henry and gives schematics for his armor, allowing him to become the Exo and fight Nano

Current life: Eight years after becoming a hero, Henry started the Defenders. He still leads the team and uses his company to fund all their equipment and necessities. He is constantly working on something for the team, rarely ever returning to his personal life. Some of his friends say that he's Exo more often than he is Henry

Power Level: 19; Despite his lower power level, his intelligence and cunning make him a much more effective hero, often outperforming everyone around him

Maximus

Aka: The Green Knight

Species: Human

Personality: Cocky, Arrogant, Egotistical, Stubborn, Short-tempered

Powers: Like all Dragon Knights, Maximus is gifted with the ability to control Telesteel. The metal is nearly useless out of a Dragon Knight's hands and extremely brittle. But the Knights can control the metal and use it to fashion armor. The strength of the metal is directly correlated to a knight's willpower and skill. The more skilled and disciplined the knight, the stronger the armor and tools. Knights also have natural enhanced strength and durability.

Backstory: Maximus' parents, who were Dragon Knights before him, were murdered when he was a baby. A dragon killed them in their home, crushing his mother and injuring the father so that he succumbed to his wounds shortly after the battle. Nearly two decades later Max is discovered by the Dragon Knights, an order of monster and dragon hunters. They take him in when they see his natural strength and aptitude to be a knight. He quickly climbs their ranks but soon finds himself, along with the entire order, pitted against one of the most powerful dragons they've seen yet. The very dragon that murdered Max's parents.

Current life: Also living amongst the Defenders, Maximus' will has never been stronger. He's learned to open up to his allies, make new friends, and even find love. He finds a true purpose in his life saving lives and defending the world.

Power Level: 36; with an iron will and burning determination, Maximus can easily tank any punch thrown at him and stop at nothing to achieve his goal. He is a true example of an unmoveable object.

Dan

Aka: "I don't need a superhero name. I'm always gone before anyone shows up anyways."

Species: Human Body (Time Incarnated)

Personality: Energetic, Bouncy, Fidgety, Quick, Spry, Funny, won't sit in one place for very long

Powers: Can harness tachyon energy and manipulate time, effectively allowing them to control the flow of time for themself and everyone around them. Certain actions require large amounts of energy which takes more time to build up. Dan often utilizes their energy to move at superhuman speed, even able to outrun the speed of light. They also have an extremely fast metabolism, and their energy allows them to resist certain catastrophic consequences of superspeed, like friction. Speed healing is also included.

Backstory: Always on the run from an evil speedster, Dan kept on the move constantly. They used their super speed to move all over the world and always stay one step ahead and never stayed in one place for too long. After staying in one place for too long and getting themself into a situation they couldn't just run from, the other speedster, Quadrios, caught up. Dan made new friends, who helped them realize that they didn't have to run in fear. So Dan stopped running away and ran towards the danger instead.

Current life: A valued and vital member of the Defenders, Dan uses their speed to stop crime all over the world, still preferring to stay on the move. But when duty calls and the team needs them, they come running.

Power Level: 69; While not physically strong, Dan's speed makes them a dangerous foe. Beyond just being untouchable and moving faster than the speed of light, Dan's ability to alter the timeline at will and leap between worlds grants them nearly godlike power.

Mya

Aka: Halcyon

Species: Human

Personality: Kind, thoughtful, energetic, sarcastic

Powers: Can harness celestial power to create energy and utilize it in a number of ways including flight, superstrength, enhanced movement and reaction speed, and can basically shoot lasers out of her fingers made out of celestial energy

Backstory: Mya was the childhood best friend of Rex, and developed her powers because she accidentally encountered one of the elemental walls on Rex's quest to master all the elements. The encounter left her with celestial powers. Later down the line, she accidentally got caught in a time rip and was presumed dead. Instead, she was found by Rex three hundred years later, having been flung forward in time. She was forced to adapt to living in a world where everyone she knew was long dead except her draconian friends.

Current life: Having decently adapted to the future, she has more of a hero life than a social life. She threw herself into her work, knowing that she would never completely adapt to the new world she found herself in. It was better to protect it than to become part of it. The closest she ever got to being normal again was falling in love with Maximus.

Power Level: 38; Her celestial energy gives her a huge advantage in combat, and constantly fuels her endurance. She is good at keeping up a relentless barrage of attacks to keep enemies off balance and distracted.

Amelia

Aka: Genesis

Species: Human

Personality: Kind, thoughtful, motherly, anxious, cautious

Powers: Can turn her body into a cloud of spores. Any allies within the radius of the aura experience enhanced regeneration, endurance, speed, strength, and perception.

Backstory: Amelia was orphaned at a young age and was taken in by her godfather, David Callaghan. She and Henry grew up together and knew each other very well, eventually falling in love. She was an expert in bioscience and virology and invented a "virus" that could've been the cure to all diseases thanks to nanotechnology from the nano project. An accident destroyed the entire project and caused her body to fuse with the cure. She became disembodied by the accident and Henry personally found a way to piece her back together.

Current life: Amelia stays amongst the Defenders at their tower. She is primarily responsible for patching up wounds after battles and being moral and mental support for the team. She watches out for every aspect of the team's health and does everything she can to help them.

Logan

(I've got a lot to say here)

Aka: The Black Shadow (Later changes name to Guardian)

Species: Human-Altrimite Hybrid

Personality: Sarcastic, Funny, Energetic, Talkative, Innocent

Powers: Logan is a shadowborn, which means that he has the ability to manipulate the shadow element. He can create shadow constructs and teleport short distances. Logan also has increased strength, speed, agility, and reaction time. He wields a sword passed down from each Black Shadow that allows him to cut rips in space-time to move between universes, as well as harness dimensional energy. After he becomes eighteen he loses most of his previous powers as his altrimite powers develop. He gains flight, extreme strength, superhuman speed, near invulnerability, the ability to react to a threat or action almost before it even happens, regenerative immortality, and gains the power to absorb and redistribute energy in any way he pleases. His energy manipulation is so powerful he can even absorb the kinetic energy of strikes, effectively making him more powerful the more he's attacked.

Backstory: Logan is the son of Maxwell Cruix, the previous Black Shadow, who kept peace on a multiversal scale. After his father's death, Logan took on the mantel at 16 years of age. He was taken in by the Defenders and trained by them as Maxwell's dying wish. Logan was quickly realized to be the second most powerful member on the team but was told he was the weakest to keep his power in check and keep him humble until his training was complete.

Current life: Living amongst the Defenders and learning everything he can from them. He struggles to master his new powers and has become a personal student of the Dragon King. Logan is trying to find his place in the hero world, unable to focus on the much smaller threats that he's used to because of his strength, but unable to grapple with larger threats due to his inexperience.

Power Level: 84; His immeasurable power is matched by nearly no one. The only thing holding Logan back at this point is his inexperience and lack of ways to gain any without some world-ending threat to actually challenge him.

Chloe

Aka: Stormcaller

Species: Human (Universe EX-7401)

Personality: Mature, Funny, Kind, Thoughtful, natural leader, Powerful

Powers: God-tier regeneration, super strength, flight, regenerative immortality, Stormcall (summon and control an electrical storm), can resist most effects from other powers i.e. mind control, gravity, illusions.

Backstory: The daughter of the Cal, the previous Stormcaller, Chloe earned her title of another Stormcaller and acts as a hero in her world. When Logan accidentally stumbled into her world in need of help, she joined him. Seeing that there was another world that needed heroes more than hers, and being shown that her world would be just fine without her, she stayed with the Defenders and joined them.

Current life: Having joined the Defenders, Chloe finds immense joy in fighting and is deeply loving the fact that the villains in Universe Prime actually stand a chance against her. She is enjoying her new home and plans on sticking around for a long time.

Power Level: 52; Her mastery over her ability gives her immense power and control over her storm and makes her a deadly adversary. She was pleasantly surprised that a lot of people in Universe Prime could match her power level.

I’m very interested in your double happiness au. I’m also very curious about the ??? lore (This is not the right word but v tired, sorry) behind each of the characters’ ?? personas ? Like how wwx is a nine tailed fox, lwj is a dragon, jc you mentioned was a fish (a fact that I find endlessly amusing). But besides mentions of shifting, you haven’t said much about their abilities with their other forms and whether they translate over to their human forms for enhanced senses or anything +

OKAY SO. Really I’m going by what both Pillow Book and Peach Blossoms laid out for their respective animals in terms of behaviour and abilities - which isn’t much, to be honest haha

Most of the characters remain in human form out of choice and convenience. There are always the “standard” powers immortals can have, like flying, invisibility etc., and you can always learn certain “disciplines” or abilities from the right teacher (e.g. if there was a particular immortal who specialises in fire-abilities, you could go and study under them). And then, of course, there are abilities that are “species”-specific.

In this verse, LWJ’s is mostly generic and based on Chinese mythology about dragons (cos in Peach Blossoms, Ye Hua turns into a dragon about once in the entire drama and there is little said about any dragon-specific abilities). WWX’s is a little more thought out (because both Pillow Book and Peach Blossoms were centred around nine-tailed foxes and went into more detail about their abilities), but there are still elements of Chinese mythology.

I (very briefly) mention LWJ’s eyes changing in the wedding night extra, but aside from that we won’t get much...overt dragoning I think.

Noble, righteous, wise

Can control the wind and water (the weather)

Actually a 天龍 (tianlong, celestial dragon) in contrast to other forms of dragons in Chinese mythology (there are quite a few)

Physically strong

Holds the record for the youngest ever to ascend to 上仙 (High Immortal) at the tender age of 20,000 and is well on the way to ascending to 上神 (High God) - they are currently about 70,000

White/silver in colour with azure whiskers

Doesn’t shift into his original form much because it’s rather...large...and noticeable, plus he’s just as formidable a fighter in human form

When he’s really weak or heavily injured in his original form, he can also revert to a “smaller” version...which looks like a snake, but with horns

Exhibit A (Yehua in Peach Blossoms) below - but white

Can communicate telepathically, but can’t read minds (i.e. he can project his thoughts into your head so you can ‘hear’ him speak, but he can’t read your mind and you can’t read his)

WWX / Nine-tailed fox

Playful, mischevious prankster, tends to be childish

Nine-tailed foxes are known for being beautiful and alluring

They also have a special skill called 迷魂术, which is basically bewitches the mind of their target and makes them more...suggestible

Mostly associated with seduction, but actually just dazes their target for a bit and very handy in a getaway situation

He has nine tails, and each tail is able to turn into a magical artefact of choice if cut off - but cutting off a tail is akin to carving out the heart, so it’s not something they would do lightly

Reverts back to his original form quite often, usually when he’s trying to be cute, make a quick getaway, or feeling sulky

Ascended not long after LWJ, and they’re actually kind of evenly matched in terms of cultivation, but he’s a lot less inclined to practice lol

He’s got REALLY SENSITIVE EARS, and to the Fox Tribe, only very special people are allowed to pet their ears

(LWJ knows this and is both touched and highly amused that WWX lets him do it without question)

Ethnicity/Species: She’s a holy variation of a species I made when I was like 10 years old. This species is basically sentient magic and takes the physical appearance of any species it wants. Holy ones are called Skytopians. Wilfy takes the form of a little cat or half cat/half human most of the time.

Birthplace and Birthdate: She was born in Skytopia, which is basically a big kingdom that is located in the clouds. She’s the heir to the throne so she’s a princess. Her birthday is April 8th.

Guilty Pleasures:

-Goofing off on Earth rather than going and doing her princess duties in the sky

-Being lazy and napping on clouds

-Cooking, but moreso the act of it rather than eating anything so she mostly gives food away a lot.

Phobias:

-Death of herself and those around her

-Caverns, canyons, pits, caves, etc. Basically anything that’s dark and gaping and looks as if if you fall in it will suck you in and kill you. She feels like she’s suffocating around these kinds of things.

-Very unnatural and disturbing imagery, ESPECIALLY body horror. If there’s something bending the wrong way, even if it’s like a broken limb, she will probably cry lmao it freaks her out

What They Would Be Famous For: Just being a good person honestly. She does a lot of good and selfless things all the time

-Stargazing and astrology. She’s pretty hooked on that subject and is a major nerd about it

What They Would Be Famous For: Honestly? A lot of things. Bitch is kinda a badass and canonically tears down a whole ass corrupt monarchy (with help but is the general spearheader of it) just because the people involved were responsible for kidnapping her girlfriend. She’s what we call a very angry hero most of the time and that would be her claim to fame.

What They Would Get Arrested For: ....also a lot lmao. But mostly going against corrupt people and systems who would want her imprisoned for doing so. I would say other contenders are assault and property damage though

-A good leader who knows how to bring out the strengths in each member of her team

-Her magic is generally unable to be used until she’s at a later stage in life because of a defect in her genetics, but when she can it’s a lot of celestial type magic. So lots of spacey magic that has fire and ice as a main base for its appearance and effect. Most of the time she’ll be using magical weapons tho.

Why Someone Might Love Them: I would say because she’s a badass tbh. She’s a tough punk with a strong set of morals who never gives up and you gotta respect what she stands for, which is generally protecting and uplifting innocents that get caught up in awful circumstances

Why Someone Might Hate Them: She’s one of those people that either respect for being a hotheaded punk or you hate for being a hotheaded punk. I can see why someone wouldn’t like her broody attitude sometimes

How They Change: She gains more confidence and sense of worth for herself throughout the story after originally starting off with about none. She’ll never stop growing and changing and that’s an important part of her overall character

Why You Love Them: She’s my first OC and obviously one of the ones I’m most attached to by default because she’s grown and changed with me so much. If I had to pick one OC to be known by it’d be her. I made her to be the strong female character I wanted to see in the world and idk I just love her

Alterhuman Definitions

Note: For a lot of these, I’ve linked to tumblr pages, but it should always be remembered that otherkinity as a community began in the 1970s, and is definitely not a “tumblr fad”. (There would, of course, have been people before the 70s who were otherkind, but wouldn’t have had the words to describe their identity.)

Though extensive, this is not a complete list of alterhuman terms. There are a lot of terms out there, and I have described only a few. There are a lot of resource pages and FAQs around as well, but a good resource page to start with is here.

Therianthropy

“An identity categorized by a deep integral or personal belief that an individual is in some way and to some degree, a non-human animal.” See more info here.

A therian is a person who experiences therianthropy. The animal identity they have is called a theriotype. If their theriotype is a mythical, earthly creature, they are called a theriomythic. If their theriotype is prehistoric, they are called a paleotherian.

Otherkin(d)

An identity where a person is, in some way, other-than-human. It’s an umbrella term, and covers therianthropy, otherhearted-ness, fictionkin, and, to some extent, copinglinking.

The difference between therianthropy and otherkinity is that therianthropy is centred on nonhuman, earthly animals. Otherkinity can be nonhuman extraterrestrials, mythical creatures, earthly nonhuman nonanimals such as plants or spirits, and so on.

Psychological Otherkin(d)

An otherkin who attributes their otherkinity to psychology and/or neurology. See more info here.

Spiritual Otherkin(d)

An otherkin who attributes their otherkinity to spirituality. See more info here.

Fictionkin(d)

An identity where a person identifies as a fictional character to some degree. See more info here.

Fictionkin also covers fictional species, such as the ikran from James Cameron’s Avatar.

Fictionflicker

“Not quite plurality, not quite soulbonding, not quite fictionkin; a sort of nebulous experience of shifting identity through various fictional characters, of briefly (or extendedly) "becoming" fictional people and the shift in identity and perception this may involve, with or without the experience of memories or past-life leanings (or any belief that such a phenomenon is necessarily spiritual or otherworldly in nature).” See more info here and here.

A person experiencing fictionflickering is a fictionflicker and has flickers or flicktypes.

Otherhearted

Describes someone who identifies with or feels a very strong connection to an animal [or other identity]. The difference between a ‘hearted person and an otherkind person is that otherkinity describes identifying as, not with.

A person who is other/animalhearted has a heartedtype, or hearttype.

Synpath

“A tidy name for something you identify with on several levels, which could be a concept that resonates really strongly with you, an animal or mythological creature you feel you act like, or a person or character you share a lot of common behaviors with, among other things.” See more info here.

Depending on the individual’s preferences, a synpath can be a synonym for a heartedtype or an other/animalhearted person. Some people separate the two by using when referring to species, objects or concepts and synpath when referring to specific characters.

Copinglink

“A) A non-human identity (or in some cases, relation) which is consciously created. The creator is able to change and pick who/what they identify as/with as need dictates. This identity can be created by anyone, and thus, is not dictated by one’s mental health; B) A consciously created coping mechanism which centers around knowingly, willingly, and actively identifying as (or in some cases, with) the user’s choice of a non-human entity; C) (2017) A (fictitious) human identity which is taken on as consciously created coping mechanism.” See more info here.

Copinglinker (or ‘linker) is someone who takes on a copinglink. The identity (whether fictional, mythical, terrestrial, etc.) is called a linktype or o’link.

Transspecies

“Crossing the cultural boundaries of species. Some nonhuman-identifying folk use this label, often to denote that they have, will, or generally desire to modify their bodies to be more nonhuman/less human looking, and are often motivated by species dysphoria. Others may use it to describe a feeling of “being [x species] trapped in a human body”. Many who use the term do so because they are transgender and their species identity parallels this experience.” See more info here.

Involuntary Identity

Identifying as something, whether as a therian, fictionkin, or any other term, involuntarily; without choice. Most otherkind experience their otherkinity this way.

Voluntary Identity

Identifying as something, usually as a coping mechanism, voluntarily; choosing nonhumanity. Just because a voluntary choice was made doesn’t make their identity any less valid.

Quoiluntary Identity

The grey area between involuntary and voluntary identities. “Coined lightly [...] by someone who felt left out by the strict voluntary/involuntary binary in otherkin discourse regarding identities…” See more info here.

The prefix quoi- was coined by tumblr user epochryphal, to be used when something, whether gender, sexuality, or other identity, as a personal application, is “inaccessible, inapplicable, nonsensical, etc.”

Extranthropy

The experience of being “a nonhuman member in a multiple system. Coined with those in mind who are nonhuman but don’t identify as otherkin and want to be more specific in the origin of their nonhumanity; compare to fictive and factive.” See more info here and a personal piece on being an extranth here.

Used as a noun: a person can be a extranth, an extranthrope, an extranthropic [identity], etc.

Alterhuman

“A category of personal identity which encompasses identification that is alternative to the common societal idea of humanity.” See more info here.

A word to describe methods of alternate humanity, or nonhumanity. It’s a large umbrella, and includes:

“Therian, phytanthrope, otherkin, and fictionkin identities; multiple, plural, median, and walk-in identities; spiritual self-identities which may still include degrees of humanity such as angelics, celestials, starseeds, god shards, reincarnated gods, vampires, etc.; identities involving shared self-identification with nonhuman or other alternative human entities/concepts such as animal-hearted, godspouse, soulbond, and spiritual medium identities; identities of alternative humanity through dissociation, trauma response, or non-neurotypical mental status.”

It can also include the following not-quite-nonhuman but not-quite-human identities:

“Transhuman, posthuman, or otherwise h+; human fictionkin, fictives and fableings; other human system members; literally any identity where you still consider humanity important to you, like there are a lot of otherkin and therians who consider themselves ‘human and nonhuman’; daemians; otherhearted people; soulbonders; channelers and spirit mediums; walk-in spirits and starseed.”

Voidpunk

Father: Jason Peter Chiva

- The Chivas were a very closed off Pureblood family, only ever leaving their childhood homes once married and usually moving very close by

- Jason was the first in his family to marry a Black, one of his greatest accomplishments

- Jason move to England to make his wife happy, causing a fallout between him and his parents/siblings

- Jason was sorted into Slytherin, while most Chivas were Hufflepuffs (surprisingly)

- This is why he was considered a suitable fit for a Black while no one else was

- Jason was very good at DADA, and had a particular liking for Astronomy

- Binns. Self-Explanatory

- Rakepick. The fact that she can never get a straight answer infuriates her and she's never one to trust quickly after the curse, especially because Rakepick is not a nice person and she can tell

- The curse does have a bad side (obviously, it's a curse). It gives her the natural instinct to hurt people, even the ones she loves, just out of curiosity. She has only given in once with Rowan's permission. Rowan now has Gracie's name scarred on the back of her neck, hidden by her hair

- The curse also will cause Gracie to slowly die if she is separated from her wand for longer than 24 hours

- Gracie has a lower body temperature than most people (only by a few degrees) and is always warm to the touch, never cold

- Gracie witnessed one of the murders her father committed and can see Thestrals while Tessa cannot

- Gracie hopes Tessa and Barnaby never break up again, not because she likes them together (she doesn't) but because she doesn't want to have to choose between them (she'd pick Barnaby if she had to)

- She and Merula got intimate right before entering the Portrait Vault in fear of one of them dying and never getting the chance

- She still doesn't fully trust Ben but she does still love him

- She never had her wand broken because she well and truly walked away

This story is under the working title The Goddess and has been a passion project for me for about a year. I have a pretty solid opening scene that I am using as a prologue. It sort of gives you some assumptions to make while you wait for me to ruin them all. :D

This is a condensed version of a creation story written by one of the oldest kingdoms:

Waxlm Myth: Birth of the Barrier

Kahala was the first goddess blessed with the ability to create sentient life. Before her, any god or goddess could call forth creatures with their power from the elements and command them into subservience. But it was she alone, for quite some time, that could create a unique type of being that was entirely of it’s own mind. However, she could not create a soul. She fell in love with a being named Bes, a warrior who often shielded her from the onslaught of attacks from jealous deities. From their union Kahala conceived humanity, the first mortals.

In this universe, most celestial bodies are actual beings with wills and powers of their own. Goddesses and gods, if you will. Mortals are new on the scene and very rare. In fact, planet’s species is the first of mortals; beings that are born from the spiritual realm into the physical are kind of a big deal and something to covet. Before them, the physical realm was something gods and goddesses had little care for. But after seeing the love and adoration mortals have for them, they’ve changed their tunes.

To say the least, they were not pleased. Word spread, hopping star systems and galaxies. Many sought to destroy her and steal the seed in her womb. Bes helped her escape through a hole in the cosmos. He stayed behind and perished to keep others from following. Although mortally wounded, she wandered for a time, searching for a place to give birth. Then she saw a large goddess alone in her star system. Eingana.

Kahala struck a deal with the goddess, pleading for her to keep her children safe as she feared she would soon die. Eingana agreed and manifested a physical form, a small blue planet with a single continent, for the children to inhabit. She even helped nurse Kahala back to health after the four children were born. However, as the babes grew so did Eingana’s jealousy. Kahala lavished in her children’s affections and took little notice of the power it gave her. Eingana secretly planned to get rid of Kahala and claim the children as her own.

She launched an attack which cleaved an island off the corner of her single landmass, taking the children hostage on it. Eingana threatened to slaughter the children if Kahala did not destroy herself. Thinking only of her children’s safety, Kahala began to shred her essence. The children cried out to their mother but, she soon was gone. Nothing but a halo of dissolved essence remained.

The Eldest, Tekuna, rebelled against Eingana and gathered her mother’s essence. The four children escaped back to the mainland and forged a barrier from the residue of her power to protect them from Eingana.

I’ll do a separate post for characters because it took me so long to do this. Ridiculously, shamefully long. I promise to do better.
