#listen I always said there's A LOT of lore to this story that just never really gets brought up

I'll rescue you, I'm an atheist but I read the Bible (and other sacred books) for fun.
In the Bible angels have banquets in Heaven, they eat and drink and according to Christians, when we die, we go to Heaven and, between all the things we will do there, we will eat and drink together.
But Heaven is not a place above clouds, it's a place where people will transcend to and we will leave our flesh and bones behind, so our "bodies" will be made of pure energy and we will drink and eat just for the pleasure of doing it (Heaven, in other words, is not a physical place).
So, angels (and demons in Hell as well) have bodies, of course, but they're not made of flesh and bones as we are, they are made of pure energy even when they look like us and we can actually touch them.
Or at least this is what the Bible says but again, I'm an atheist that read things just for fun, so, I could definitely be wrong.
Hey anon you wanna meet somewhere and kiss?
No? Ok fair enough
But seriously listen YES, this is basically (albiet a much more eloquently put and explained description outside my initial "oh what in the gay hell" reaction) what I hc'd. It's just not an issue for Lexa. She eats and drinks for pleasure and things like creating waste don't effect her because her body isn't human. Trying to ascribe human functioning to a non-human body just isn't what's going on here. Yes she has things that make her passing things that were created to make her more soothing/enticing/comforting to humans, but those are basically all smoke and mirrors to the reality of her body.
She looks human and sounds human, but she isn't.

Tips on character voices when writing fic
This is written in mind for people writing fic in MCYT/QSMP/DSMP/Life series/etc kind of fandoms. But if anyone finds it useful for anything else, well then, hell yeah.
Character voice is big in all, uh, fiction, and mimicking it in any fanwork is big. But I think it’s especially big in these fandoms where the voices are so distinct – it’s usually how a Real Person Somewhere (the streamer) talks, versus something very scripted that you’d see in a TV show or novel. And it can be a big difference in your character sounding generic versus really feeling true to the original.
Listen to a bunch of your subject talking. If you want to write a character well, watch vods from their point of view, or episodes where they show up a bunch. Take note of what they say and how.
2. If you don’t know how to start doing that: try literally writing down what they say. Transcribe an actual exchange in fic-format. You probably won’t want to publish a literal exchange from canon, but it will give you a sense of how to physically write what they say.
3. If you do this (or just pay attention to how they talk), you will get a lot of: Stumbling, pauses, repeating words, filler words, weird sentence constructions, fragments, etc. I love em! Here’s something that comes through in improv much more than in novels or movies: Most people, even very charismatic people, are not very eloquent when they speak. Writing out conversations or sentences will give you a sense of the unique and delightful way in which your subject is not eloquent. vvvvv way more under cut vvvvv
(People use a LOT of filler/etc when they speak. It’s reasonable to cut back on this if it’s interfering with a nice-looking or readable result. I believe this is the eternal struggle of people who write transcripts – you want the transcript to be accurate, but there are also a lot of things you can obviously simplify and not lose the meaning. So you’ll end up falling somewhere on this spectrum either way. But I do think a lot of mediocre/generic fic dialogue is very stylized – it doesn’t sound like your guy because your guy literally wouldn’t say that. They would say it worse and more confusingly.)
(I’m serious, if you’ve never sat down with a short non-completely-scripted clip or real conversation or whatever and just written out exactly what was said, do it. It will make you better at writing.)
4. Wonda-cat made a really incredible list [link] of characterizing speech patterns for the Dream SMP members. But you can also do your own reconnaissance and come up with your own patterns, common phrases, etc.
5. You do not have to get EVERYTHING right. You’re not going to, like, get so deep into the speaker’s brain that you can produce “exactly what they would have said if they were somehow in your fic.” That is impossible. You’re just trying to evoke a character, and if you get a few turns of phrase to ring true, you’re doing great.
6. A lot of these people are popular because they are hilarious. Include jokes. Yes, even if your thing is angsty or serious. A lot of the most serious lore I can think of from, e.g., the Dream SMP or 3rd Life or the QSMP - the really story-defining, life-and-death moments - were absolutely hysterical. If you’re writing characters who are usually funny, then add some humor. It can heighten angst via contrast and a sense of realism. Ask yourself what a funny streamer would make jokes about if they were possessing a character in this situation.
7. Some people have the mystical ability to “hear” character voices in their head, and read things in their voice. If you can, do this with all of your dialogue during the editing process. This won’t always get you there, but sometimes it can catch things that sound wrong by invoking "that's really hard to imagine them saying". If you don’t have this power, try recruiting a friend who does.
8. So there’s dialogue and then there’s narration that’s still from a character’s point of view. I’ve mostly given you tips about dialogue, but a lot of this is also true for narration. IMO, narration is less about phrasing things the way the subject would, and more about recreating the way they think. I don’t have concrete rules on how to do this, but here is my wisdom:
You can get eloquent again - narration is more of an abstract and artistic process than dialogue.
Spend time with your subject’s source material.
Pay attention to what they notice and care about. How do you think they think?
Don’t be afraid to get weird with it.
That last one also applies to all art ever.
9. MCYT tends to give you a great boon you don’t see in other media: what the speaker says to their chat/audience when nobody else is listening. This can be incredibly characterizing even if you’re writing a story where people don’t have chats. It’s your person talking about their thought processes and feelings! Mine that shit.
10. Some questions that might help guide both characterizing narration and dialogue (that you’d get from dialogue):
How open are they about their feelings?
How often do they lie? What do they lie about?
What kind of metaphors do they use, if any?
How quickly does their mood change?
How can you tell when they’re in different moods?
What kind of things do they pay attention to?
How formal is their speech?
11. Finally, this is a little odd, but I find it’s much, much easier to write a character that sounds good if I, the author, like them and am rooting for them at least a little bit. If a character needs to be there who you don’t love, try to love them. Or at least get a sense of what other people love about them. It just makes everything else easier. I swear to god.
Happy writing out there!

How do you come up with so many intricate plots and characters? They seem so… human? I’m very surprised you don’t read much! I guess what I’m asking is, what’s your creative process? Do you take inspiration from aspects of yourself, or is it more of a form of escapism? When you write your plots, do you imagine yourself as the character, the audience, or both?
Another thing that truly amazes me and makes your channel stand out a lot is the way you give the listener a voice. It feels like each listener is so different and unique, and *actually* interacts with the character. It also feels like you’re never spoon feeding us information? All the questions do get answered, but it’s different style imo. Usually, in most ASMR RPs I’ve heard, the speaker will repeat what you said verbatim, (eg. “You think XXX?”, or “You want me to XXX?”), and the frequency at which these types of phrases are used makes it *seem* like a RP. Of course, it’s a challenging medium - the audience needs to know whats going on somehow, but you manage to achieve the same in a much more subtle way. It makes me wonder how long you spend planning out your content haha.
Final question, do you prefer to type or handwrite your plans, scripts, etc? I’ve always preferred planning on paper, even though it’s a bit impractical haha. Also, would you mind showing us your handwriting? I think it says a lot about a person! There’s the stereotype that people usually have a certain handwriting that corresponds to their major/occupation, and if I remember correctly, I think you studied film? I’m just curious hehe. No pressure, of course!
Sorry for sending you an essay, I hope you have a restful and comfy Friday!
Thank you!
Honestly, I don't know how I do it myself considering my memory is absolute shit! Though I don't read much, I learn about characters through other mediums such as television shows and movies. I'll try and break this down for ease of reading!
~My Creative Process~
When making a character or series, it all depends on where my initial inspiration began. For example, with Niall, I wanted to create an M4M series exploring a character who carries trauma of being forcibly outed, betrayed by someone he confided in, and how those events affected him through his adult life. The core of Niall's story was confronting fears that manifested due to the Listener's actions in school, and finding that there was a way to heal, albeit slowly, and a hope to love despite external animosity. Niall exists because I wanted to tell a particular story.
With Zaros, he first came about because of The Noble Trials plot. I knew that he would be different from other characters, so I'm using this series as a means of testing my skill with a new editing style, story format, and new world setting. Although it's more work, I have the most fun with The Noble Trials and making its lore (though I'm always a sucker for that)!
I go into creating characters with the belief that they are all extremely flawed. Whether that be by nature or nurture, there will inevitably be some slew of events in their pasts that shaped the way they act in the current timeline. This also extends to the Listeners so they aren't rigid, boring, and an empty shell. Characters can clash, but they can also change with and for each other. A good example is Isaac's story. He was scarred by his past, and was willing to confine Pickle in the house if it meant not losing someone he cared for again. Pickle was also scarred with abandonment and instability, wondering if they would ever find a home. Isaac gave them a place to belong, and Pickle gave him consolation and courage to face the unknown.
When I write, the character's actions must reflect the backstory in which they were crafted, so I always need to dive into their heads.
~Listener Dialogue~
This requires much more thought to make interactions seem authentic, but there's a fine line between repeating words verbatim and not alluding to any sort of context. I dislike repeating the Listener's words so I try to indirectly insinuate what they were saying whenever possible. If I can do so with SFX alone, that's a bonus! But when scenes contain heavy dialogue, it can be difficult to get the message across without being heavy-handed with repetition, unless that's the purpose of a specific moment.
~Handwriting vs Typing~
I always handwrite my outlines! On some occasions, I can start and finish a script without the help of one, but my workflow tends to include writing an outline of some kind, and it has to be done on paper! I feel like the ideas manifest quicker that way.
However, I always type my scripts. It's much easier to edit, share with other voice actors, and there's a level of professionalism in formatting that motivates me to write more!
Here is an example of my writing. This screenshot was part of a Twitch stream!

I’m still amazed that the BBC let Chris “wrote the Cyberwoman episode of Torchwood” Chibnall anywhere near Jodie’s run, never mind putting him in charge of it
gonna be brutally honest here anon I have never seen torchwood so I cannot comment on that specifically, BUT!
chris chibnall isn’t as awful of a writer as people think. in my opinion, he was hindered by his love of classic who. he was writing for a completely different show in a completely different time, and a lot of his plot and lore decisions make more sense when you consider the classic show. not to mention his politics, many of which were stuck in the 1960s-1980s.
as a result, fans of new who didn’t like it — certain key elements of it didn’t really gel with the current show and upset their understanding of the doctor as a character.
chibnall also made the mistake of listening to fans during his first season: everyone was saying they wanted new monsters and a break from daleks and cybermen, so he had a season of totally brand-new monsters. people hated it, said the show was unrecognizable. when he wrote a few new episodes with daleks and cybermen and weeping angels, people wrote it off because they’d already made up their mind about it.
I’ll always be grateful to chibnall for pushing forward and having the first female doctor. the pushback he received for that at the time gets largely forgotten. it would have been easy to give in to the massive pressure and recast — nothing of the seasons had been filmed when jodie was initially announced — but he refused to budge and backed jodie all the way. for that, I’ll always respect him. he’s put up with a lot of shit from the fans.
that having been said, disliking chibnall’s era is so valid. even though I really enjoy thirteen’s run (she is my wife I love her dearly) I can like that era of the show and also have enough critical thinking skills to see the problems with it. I’m pretty sure i’ve said it before but the politics of the chibnall era are atrocious (see: the woman who fell to earth, rosa, arachnids in the uk, kerblam!, spyfall pt. 2, the vanquishers — feel free to ask me to elaborate on any of these) and sometimes he falls into the trap many writers do when writing women, which is to water them down a bit. thirteen is Not as weak as many people make her out to be, but there are a few moments that irk me (see: needing jack harkness to break her out of prison. I’d have been okay with it if maybe she’d managed to stall the judoon long enough to send him a distress signal or something? maybe use the sonic to get his attention? just give her a bit of agency).
anyway, long story short, chibnall’s era has issues. but nowhere near the number that people attribute to it. as for why the BBC handed the show over to him, he was extremely successful as showrunner on broadchurch, had written well-liked episodes of doctor who and been head writer at torchwood in the past, was a massive fan of the show, and vocally wanted to being some changes and mystery to the show, something fans had been clamoring for for ages. my guess is he applied for the job, interviewed like anybody else, and they decided he was the best possible candidate.
no writer is going to have no misses, especially not on a show with such demanding deadlines as doctor who, and every new showrunner is a risk the BBC have to take. at the time, it looked like he was the man for the job. sometimes, it’s all just business.

Hi I'm new to the walking dead for the Rick and michonne show! I want to watch where should I start? Can I ask who is Jessie and why was he miserable? It just seems like such a fun fandom there's so much lore I kinda want to know everything. How far back should I go to get the full story from the actors and everything? I kind of live for the kind of stuff lol. But it's OK if it's a lot to explain. I thought about just spending a few days digging through the tag as far back as I could go. This show and all the gifsets and all the fun everyone is having kinda has me obsessed a little bit. But should I watch the whole series? It's eleven seasons lol.
I'll explain it all to you, no problem! I'll just warn you there will be a few spoilers though, ok? It's kinda hard to explain without them, so if you don't want spoilers, don't read on.
Listen, Rick and Michonne aside (who are awesome, amazing, perfect) The Walking Dead is a REALLY good show all around. It's honestly got some of the best writing I've ever seen on TV. So, if you like TV shows and you're looking for a good one, I'd advise you to watch it all from the beginning. It is indeed a lot but it's gonna go by so fast, because it's so good, you won't even feel it. Seriously, all of the characters, the dynamics between them, the bonds they all forge, the development of the characters, the relationships, the narrative, the found family aspect of it, it's all chef's kiss. And Rick and Michonne is like the cherry on top. It's like, in case you thought we couldn't make things even better, here's the best couple of all time for you, enjoy.
Now, focusing on just Rick and Michonne, I'd still advise you to watch it from the beginning so that you can FULLY appreciate it when they finally get together. Cause we have Rick's relationship with Lori (his dead wife) in the beginning of the show, which was just not good at all, she never had his back, so when he finally meets Michonne and she becomes his partner in every way, even before they fall in love, it's just got a different flavor when it finally happens, you know? Cause everything he has with Michonne is the complete opposite of what he had with Lori, and it's glorious, and you can see why they were made for each other and are soulmates, so unless you see that relationship first, it's not gonna have the same impact in my humble opinion.
As for Jessie, and Andy being miserable about Rick's storyline with her on the panels, Jessie is a character (the most generic character you can possibly think of) that shows up closer to the end of season 5, before Rick and Michonne get together, and she's on the show for 14 episodes. Rick is kind of having a bit of a breakdown at this point and he develops a little thing for her but nothing really happens between them. They only share one very chaste kiss, which is shown from a distance. You see, Jessie's kind of a stand-in for his dead wife at this point in his storyline. Her fragility kinda reminds him of her, her husband is abusive and so she's someone he can save like he couldn't save his wife. She's like a second chance for him to save his dead wife, that was her whole purpose.
But the whole thing is just very forced and stupid and nobody wanted it, everybody was already shipping Richonne then for a long time, so it made NO sense. And at the time, the marketing for the show was really pushing this whole Jessie thing, so Andy's miserable on all the panels where that storyline is brought up because he had always wanted Rick and Michonne together, even his mom wanted it, both he and Danai (the actress who plays Michonne) have both said they were always playing romance when it came to Rick and Michonne, and it's very clear from the writing that that's where things were headed, so again, this Jessie person made NO sense. So, on the panels, whenever the Jessie storyline was brought up, Andy would usually keep his head down, hiding behind his hat and wouldn't say anything, wouldn't express anything, only the actress playing Jessie talked. He really just wanted to forget that storyline was a thing at all, it was bad enough he had to play it.
But thankfully, like I said, nothing really happens between them, she's in it for just a few episodes and then Michonne becomes his entire world.
Now, if you only want to watch starting from the point where Rick and Michonne meet, that's right at the end of 3x06. And if you only want to watch from when they get together, that's 6x10. It's still gonna be awesome and amazing, but like I explained, you might not get the FULL experience.
It is indeed many seasons but the first one is only 6 episodes long and from then on, each season is about 13-16 episodes long.
I hope I was able to make things clear for you and if you have any other questions, just ask, I'll be more than happy to answer!

Okay I’ve been wanting to rant about this for a while and I feel like now is the best time to do so after this um… very galpal trailer came out lmao.
But I’ve always found it so stupid when people in the community act as if hoyo would never put any queer coding/queer characters in their games because “they’re a Chinese company so that makes them homophobic (or something); stop trying to spread your agenda!!!!! Not everything has to be queer!!! 🤬" People INSIST that others are just “reading into things too much”.
And listen, I don’t think that any ships or headcannons of mine are actually canon in game and obviously you don’t have to ship characters or think they’re queer that’s totally up to you.
But saying hoyo would NEVER queer code is objectively false. Like, please I’m begging you to look into the HI3 lore/story for just two seconds. There’s even a canonical kiss between Seele and Bronya. They have been creating queer characters for years. I mean come on, you can’t watch that hsr trailer and look me in the eyes claiming they’re dancing in a friendly way lmao.
Yes, there is a lot of censorship from the CCP but censorship is the reason why queer coding exists in the first place. I mean the kiss that I talked about prior I believe is censored in the Chinese release, but the fact that hoyo even tried to include it in the first place is hella commendable and shows that they want to include queer characters in their stories.
That being said, I do think there is a conversation to be held critiquing hoyo when it relates to queer characters such as how a lot of queer coding hoyoverse does is fanservice. I mean hey, companies will be companies and at the end of the day hoyo is trying to sell us a product to get more sweet sweet money. Hoyo isn’t blind; they know when two characters are commonly paired together. Sometimes they play into this to make people more inclined to pull on banners. Black Swan and Acheron are good examples (exhibit a is up above lmao).
I know I’m preaching to the choir here considering Tumblr is not the place most bigots flock to. However, my point in all of this is just to let people interact with media in the way they want to and stop calling queer people delusional when we call out obvious queer undertones in characters. Again, you don’t have to believe said undertones or think any of this is canon, but don’t put queer people down for wanting to see ourselves represented in media.
TLDR: Hoyo is a company known for queer coding and bigots need to let people live.

Okay Radio Guard Charlie deep dive written by a tired, about to pass out college student, wooo.
So this is probs gonna be long so fair warning.
To start off, Charlie, canonically in Radio Guard, barely remembers her mom (yes I am going down the super angsty route since I like to torment myself and it adds extra angst drama flare). As a trade off, Charlie has a better relationship with Lucifer so compared to other Charlies probably.
That said, it did take awhile for Lucifer to come back into the picture, so for a good while, Alastor was her sole caretaker. Like mentioned in a previous ask/lore dump, Alastor was there for a lot of core memories. And because of that, Alastor did influence a lot. Besides the stuff I mentioned before, Charlie grew up learning to play the piano. She also grew up listening to Alastor's radio show, a lot (due to a headcanon that, by Lucifer's permission or not, a study was transformed into Alastor's own personal radio studio in the castle so he could keep an eye on Charlie easier). Because of the radio show, she grew up hearing stories of Alastor's past and what he did, although she only got the full picture when she got older and Alastor felt comfortable sharing the full stories with her (graphic details and all, only if she said she could stomach them). One of the many fond memories Charlie has is falling asleep in Alastor's arms while he was doing a radio show when she was still young and waking up briefly, barely half awake, to hear Alastor speak without his radio filter and how calming and kind it sounded (she also remembers how tired he sounded but how warm his smile was. And while she knows Alastor will deny it, she vaguely remembers Alastor kissing the top of her head like how a father would with his child when she was drifting back to sleep).
Charlie personality wise is pretty much the same. She is still bubbly and happy, but not as naive as her canon self. I think, again with Alastor influence (with some of Lucifer's influence too), I think Charlie knows there are some sinners out there who just, cannot be redeemed to save their lives. It was a hard lesson for her but it was a lesson she needed to learn. I also think in a weird way, Alastor's weird sense of justice probably rubbed off onto Charlie. She doesn't agree with his methods (i.e brutally killing, torturing, and broadcasting a sinner's screams on his show), but like she gets why he does the things he does too. But even then, she still asks him to go easy on people and try to be open-minded (fun fact: the ONLY reason Alastor didn't snap Radio Guard!Vox like a twig in a blind rage when they reunited was because of Charlie asking Alastor to not hurt him and to give him a chance. That is mainly because Charlie was very in the dark about Alastor and Vox's relationship prior, but even if she knew, she would still ask Alastor to give Vox a chance since Vox didn't seem so bad).
Other stuff to note and add to! Like mentioned in a previous ask/lore dump, Charlie knows old songs. The three she remembers the most is: Daisy Bell, The Teddy Bear’s Picnic and Tiptoe Through the Tulips. Daisy Bell is kind of more angsty reason (i.e, it's a song she always heard Alastor sing but never got why he sang it until one day in the hotel she overheard Vox singing a few of the lyrics to himself). She has a record player where she plays a lot of old music or jazz. She does actually have a radio, it's a small little portable one, that is more of a 1940s model then 20s or 30s (she saw it in the window of a store one day and begged Alastor to get it for her when they were going on a walk). For a good bit of time, growing up, she spoke solely in 1920s to 1930s slang. Alastor found it funny, Husk did not. They begged her stop though when she kept demanding giggle juice, as giggle juice is booze and she thought it was just juice that made you happy. (Alastor voice: It does but you are like 9, so, you cant have it. /j).
As for clothing style, if you remember her pilot outfit, the one with the suspenders and that is black and white. Yeah that is just her canon outfit now. She wears a lot of suspenders and more masc 1920s clothing. Alastor helped her pick out the clothes when she asked if she could wear clothes similar to his era and he was happy to help (and he will deny he cried tears of joy, no rosie, you have no photo evidence of that, what do you mean?). She even has a cute little news boy cap to match her outfit! I also think Radio Guard Charlie's hair is either shorter or always in a updo, like a messy bun!
(and smacking this near the end, while writing this, i took a small break and got notified of the fic with radio guard alastor and just, chef's kiss, I love it. 10 out of 10 fanfic anon!)
-⚔️ anon
LORE LORE LORE
Alastor's comment on the "giggle juice" had me laughing for several minutes ngl. I love love love the outfit you've come up with for her too

CastleAudios FAQ!
Commonly asked questions about the channel and its characters
⚜️I want to listen to the channel but I don't know where to start?
I always recommend starting with Beth's playlist, then Claire, Genevieve, Rachelle, Celine then anyone else that catches your eye! Of course, if you want to hear everybody in order so you get the whole plot, check out my Glenwood playlist!
⚜️All your audios are labeled F4A, will you ever make F4M/F4F content?
I want my content to be enjoyed by any and everyone! Making F4A content is the easiest way for me to do that.
⚜️The trauma... The drama... The conflict... Why must you do this?
What good is a story without conflict? I do promise that I'm not just some angst train, I'll always strive to balance out the bad with the good. I'm a sucker for happy endings!
⚜️Who is CW?
CW (Or Camille W. as she is credited in my video descriptions) is my partner and the visual director for the channel! Almost all the character icons were created by her and she frequently does mini channel takeovers in order to share lore and (affectionately) bully me. We've also begun sharing her live reactions to my audios, so you can enjoy some content from her on the channel at well!
⚜️A lot of your listener characters have more than one name, why?
Listeners usually have about two names, one for their romantic partners and the name that others call or refer to them by
Claire's listener: Ranger / Hotshot
Beth's listener: Seer / Beautiful
Genevieve's listener: Knight / Sweetheart
Abby and Rose's shared listener: Open Wielder / Bud / Dear
Rachelle's listener: Mage / Doll
⚜️What does __Insert Listener Character__ look like/dress like/do/ and what's their backstory?
Unless specifically referenced to in the audios for the sake of plot, any information about any listener character is strictly up to your interpretation! I love hearing what you guys think for each of the listeners and all your theories so I wouldn't want to hinder that with one "right" interpretation. I won't be answering any submissions along the lines of this question.
⚜️I've seen you on Twitter/Tumblr/Tik Tok and now I'm scared to post...
Don't be! I made these social media pages so that I could interact and engage with my audience, so please don't be worried if I see your posts about the channel! I love all of it, truly. And don't worry, I wouldn't have come onto the internet if I wasn't fully prepared for what might be waiting there. (I know you have drafts. Post them, cowards (with love))
⚜️Can I make fanart/fanfiction/fanedits of your channel?
I'm gonna be honest, I cried when I first got this question. YES!! Please make whatever you like and please share it with me! You are all so creative and wonderful, I want to see your work! If you make any content that is inspired by my work or make anything within the Glenwood universe, I only ask that you credit me in the description.
⚜️Will Celine get her own listener/romantic route?
Celine will not be getting her own listener. She pops up sporadically in other character's playlists as well as the mega episodes where all the characters are bunched up into one audio. She will be interacting with multiple characters and listeners so she'll never be away for too long. She is a married woman and has a loving wife, so there won't be any romancing on Celine's part. That being said, she has two hands, so go wild.
⚜️Where is Glenwood located?
Glenwood is located on the Southern East coast. Not too specific, since I don’t wanna base it off of any real towns!
⚜️I've noticed hints to Abby/Rose/Wielder becoming a canon poly couple, is this true or should I not get my hopes up?
It is canon that the Library Trio will be endgame, we just need to be patient while we get there!
⚜️What is the Endax Chronicles?
The Endax Chronicles will be a prequel series to Glenwood starting in March 2023! It takes place nearly 600 years in the past and will deal with the war between Vampires and Blood Mages. It will be more of a High Fantasy series compared to Glenwood's contemporary style. We've been given hints to this conflict in Rachelle and Celine's audios, but this will reveal the truth.
⚜️Do I need to listen to Endax Chronicles to understand Glenwood or vice versa?
Nope! You can listen to one without needing the other, they should be able to be enjoyed separately.
⚜️Exactly how big do shifters get in their wolf form?
They're considerably bigger than normal wolves, thought not exactly as big as horses. When a shifter is fully transformed, they stand at about the same height as an average person. Certainly not something you want to be on the biting end of, but just about the best cuddle buddy you would ask for.
⚜️Will we ever get Claire/Celine or any other pairing aside from the endgame couples?
Unfortunately not in the canon storyline! But who knows? Some non-canon audios could always be a possibility!
⚜️Will you ever make merch?
Honestly, we haven't seriously considered making merch for the channel since we're still pretty new to the whole content creation business, but if that's something people would want, we can make it a reality!
⚜️Where else can I get your content?
As of right now, I am only on YouTube, Tumblr, Twitter, and Tik Tok with various degrees of activity on each platform. However, later this year we will be launching the CastleAudios Discord server as well as a Patreon!

it just two episodes so I’m not really too harsh. Animation looks really good, but man no wonder this took 4-5 years they had 4 animation studios working on it plus bentos joint company princess bento that’s operates Australia. So you got bento+SH+toon city and princess bento yeah their budget got fucked
the writing drag this show and it’s so confusing. there’s 6 fucking minutes of exposition dump and lore in the first episode. This is not welcoming to newcomers, especially adult animation you never exposition the shit out the audience with a bedtime story unless you’re target demographic are kids. Character spend so much sitting on couches and talking about nothing. Adam and Valentino are the absolute worse characters but I think Valentino is more egregious since he was hyped so much and he was the biggest letdown and he’s voice is awful I’m sorry to VA.
So what is Charlie’s goal again? Is to fix overpopulation by redeeming demons and sending them to heaven? Give demons a second chance? Or make her mom proud, and empower demons through song? All of the above? Why send demons to heaven when her mom was all about rising above heaven? She is kinda annoying, I hate how stupidly naive and childish she is but I guess that her flaw and her development will be that she has to grow up, but I don’t want to do the writers job where you’re given nothing and have to fill in the blanks.
So Angel moved out but he still works for Valentino, but the show is making it seem like he quit and is hiding out in the hotel but is gonna return to Valentino soon? Why is so easy for Angel to leave and ignore Valentino? Oh wait I forgot it’s because Valentino is a fucking idiot, literally just Stella 2.0. I just hate everything that come out of Angels mouth I forgot how annoying being sexual doesn’t mean witty or confident and just because he’s a porn star doesn’t mean he has to always sexual harass men, and it’s not even the good flirty, it’s bad flirty, but I know they’re gonna go hard on his musical scenes.
I miss pilot Vaggie she still supported Charlie but was also very cautious and a bit controlling but it made her more interesting and flawed and set up dynamics her instead of just being supportive gf aka Millie 2.0. Husk was barely in the episodes, nifty and that cat thing are just there to be cute.
Vox and Vel are really entertaining but they put up with Valentino when be’s the dumbest and least incompetent out the trio and Vox hates being around him. He’s duet with alastor is really fun and kinda wish he had a show on these two than Charlie.
The music is alright not something I’d listen to on Spotify but it’s alright. Overall it was ok, there’s just no charm to it
yeah i agree with most of these points.
animation- shifts a lot between good and bad for me and i think that's mostly due to the over-designed characters, there have been problems keeping them on-model ever since the pilot, but like you say about it being hot-potatoed between 4-5 studios juggling it, it'd be no surprise the budget got fucked, and to me the studio juggling also checks out with how varied the animation is.
writing- agree, i only ever saw the hazbin pilot and occasionally learned tidbits of lore from the critical community and i was still sitting there clueless, i can only imagine what it's like for newcomers who don't even know a *little* of the lore/history.
Charlie's goal- "Why send demons to heaven when her mom was all about rising above heaven" is such a great point. Charlie's goals and motives were so confusing to me bc i didn't really see a connection. i guess you could say this is Charlie's way of continuing her mom's goal of "protecting our people" even tho Lilith seemed to be against Heaven while Charlie is trying to work with Heaven--but as i said previously Charlie also doesn't really seem to "like" her people, as we see her repeatedly show disgust or awkwardly try to laugh off her discomfort and only shows an endearing adoration when they're showing specific change/potential. It seems like she's just extremely naively optimistic, but bc of her aversion it comes off kinda disingenuous or fake nice? she legit seems to act more like a disillusioned church-goer who thinks they're helping you than a kind princess of hell who loves her subjects despite their "depravity" ig? and like you said maybe that'll be part of her character arc, but it def feels weird so far.
Angel & Valentino- yeah the entire dynamic with them is just weird. they're supposed to be a pimp and his prostitute, but why is Val texting/voicemailing Angel like a mopey ex? Val is allegedly supposed to be this big abusive threat but he's just kind of there, and Vox just calms him down really easily? and showing the affect his verbal abuse has on Angel felt so sudden/forced in (yeah those of us "familiar" w/their dynamic know it's there--this is considering the media as a new watcher, that's stuff you're supposed to write into a show for new audiences.) i'm back-and-forth on Angel's hypersexuality/sexual harassments of other male characters bc it's true some victims can act as he does, and it makes him more believable as an asshole in hell moreso than the others, but i also don't trust Viv to handle the complicated subject of abuse with grace / respect knowing her history, and i'm already worried after she had him say his body was "made for exploiting"
Pilot Vaggie- again with the disclaimer i barely remember the pilot; in the first 2 eps Vaggie was weird. idk how to feel about it. i know you said she seemed like 100% supportive Millie 2.0--but to me i couldn't get a full grip on their dynamic. it felt like it kind of swayed back and forth between full support and skeptical support but it all went by so fast i can't make a clear distinction, so you may be right.
The VVVs- agreed that Vox and Vel were entertaining. Val was just kinda there and seemed like neither Vox or Vel wanted anything to do with him, what do they get out of Val being there? does he bring them money or power or anything?? Vox and Vel are stronger characters on their own w/o Val having to be there imo.
Music- i honestly have like...no real opinion of the music. it didn't "wow" me, but it didn't necessarily make me cringe either. it just kinda was there and was fine. i honestly might've like...unintentionally mentally checked-out for some of them. i think Vox & Al's was *probably* the best--and i say that loosely bc, again, everything went by so fast--but it also had me kind of tilting my head like why does Al even care about dishing out "the tea" about this guy?
i *guess* making your big debut "i'm back" speech after being gone for 7 years right when someone is shit-talking you is a good power move, but it just felt oddly petty or "beneath" someone like Alastor to me--i think it would've made more sense if there was a bit in the song where Alastor took some callers on the radio who asked him what he thought about Vox and *then* he makes some casual remark about how little he means to him. idk, just my impression.
ty for sharing your two cents!

Wyll doesn't just deserve more content, he deserves better content, in my humble opinion.
I know a lot of people were concerned about the change of category (is that the proper phrase?) about the Ansur part of his quest but I feel like that part needs changing to a degree. Primarily because it doesn't feel very Wyll specific.
I feel like it focuses more on how the Emperor is a scumbag then anything to do with Wyll.
I'm not a writer by any stretch of the imagination but I feel like you could've still had that confrontation with Ansur and the Emperor and had something that tied to Wyll like after you fight him, maybe Ansur sees some of himself in Wyll - a loyal protector - a strong guardian - a man of morals and maybe Ansur decides he doesn't want history to repeat itself. He doesn't want someone else to fall victim to the Emperor again so he gifts Wyll power or a weapon or something that could put him on par with Mizora so he doesn't need her help anymore.
He held out, he endured, he stayed true to himself and finally, someone recognizes that, truly acknowledges his efforts and now he has power that is truly his, that he earned in his own right by being who he is.
Maybe then you could tie that into a climax, a final confrontation with Mizora. Maybe instead of killing his father in the Iron Throne, she simply kidnaps him from there before before you arrive to make Wyll panic that we were too late and something has happened to his father.
Maybe Mizora appears at camp with his father as a bargaining chip, mocks him for going on a wild goose chase and how amusing it was to watch. She could threaten his father to make Wyll more compliant, to try force him to resign the pact but this time is different.
This time Wyll, the Blade of Frontiers, isn't the one who's at a disadvantage. Maybe you could have a Durge vs Orin situation - a 1v1, duel to the death with strict rules of engagement to be fraught at the foot of the hill where this all began - if Mizora wins, Wyll resigns and can never break free from the hells. If Wyll wins, Mizora dies and his father goes free.
Maybe Mizora uses a loop hole in the duel's rules to cheat when she's near defeat and that's when you and the rest of your party jump in to keep Mizora's lackeys at bay while Wyll finishes her off and then a cutscene of the final blow, of Wyll's victory. Finally, he's a free man and his father sees him for who he is. His actions said everything they needed to.
I don't know, like I said, not a writer in any capacity and I feel like I'm just getting lost in my own musing - there's lots of things I didn't consider, like surely a situation like this would have point holes everywhere, especially since I don't know the first thing about DnD and it's lore but my original point was that I feel like Wyll needs a moment - that character defining moment that most of the other characters have - that time for him because he is a good character, I really like him and I hope that Larian listens.
I appreciate all the hard work they do with all the patches, never doubt that but I've always felt like Wyll's story needs more attention and it is important - he's a main character, an origin, he's a key feature of the game and that should take priority.
I love all the new features that they add (to a degree) but this is a core issue and I'd much prefer they work on the things that matter and add the fluff later.
Just my two cents though, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
Edit: I just remembered that devils go back to the hells when they die top side, right? (See, what did I say? Plot holes) but maybe it wouldn't matter since Wyll would've lived a long life by the time Mizora pops up again. Maybe she swears revenge on the Ravengard's and bam, plot for the next game. If there is one. LMAO

Okay so, I spent some time today, while cleaning up and taking care of chores, listening to more TotK reviews. I tried my best to remove my own biases, and this is what I can conclude. -I DO think that the abilities in TotK give the player ultimate freedom. You can solve any puzzle or reach any area with any sort of solution, as long as your imagination can come up with it. There are very few limitations that these abilities have. There is a certain thrill in building a machine and seeing that it actually works. -I DON'T like, however, that in the name of giving the player freedom that lots of places feel pointless to even explore. Sure, I will be smugly satisfied with solving a very intricate puzzle in a shrine, or feel excited discovering a mine or forgotten temple in the Depths, but if the reward is lackluster then my motivation to even try starts to diminish. The game relies too much on the player satisfying their own curiosity and not on rewarding you for said curiosity, at least proportionally. -I DO believe that this game is the most direct an LoZ sequel has ever been. You revisit the same Hyrule. You meet people you met in BotW and get to check up on them. You get to see Hyrule rebuilding itself. You get to revisit familiar areas to see how they've fared. You do get to retread familiar ground while traversing it in a different enough way to make it feel fresh. -I DON'T like that, in the interest of making the game accessible to new players, that so many characters treat Link like a stranger. I'm sorry, you can argue all you want that LoZ is not about the story, but given that it feels like such a direct sequel it is very immersion breaking for people to not recognize Link. You're telling me that Link built an entire life with Zelda in his house in Hateno and no one recognizes him in that village? Please. -I DO agree that TotK's story is more...involved than BotW. HOWEVER- -I DON'T think it suits this gameplay format. I think TotK's main problem is that it was trying to satisfy the two fanbases that now exist: the open world lovers that really don't care too much for the story and the linear LoZ fans that want a more attractive story. It's hard to feel anything for the story when all you have is memories, and you the player are not directly involved. I know we all joke that Link is always dragged into somebody else's problems, but TotK reaaaally feels like Link is cleaning up someone else's mess. In other words, unless Nintendo proves me wrong here, I don’t think open world Zelda in its current format works well with a big story.
-To add to that. it feels weird that in a world that touts ultimate freedom for the player that the story is so linear. It just doesn’t work for me.
I will not talk about the problems with the plot itself I think we all know my opinion about it
-I DO think that TotK Ganondorf is very present in the game's environment. One reviewer made the comparison of the Depths, being filled with darkness, gloom, and very powerful monsters as a reflection of the world Ganondorf aims to create, a world that is oppressive and dangerous at every corner as all you try to do is mine resources you need while surviving, versus the Sky Islands reflecting Rauru's ideal world, where the threats are minimum, where exploration is a lot more relaxed and laid back, where the sun always shines and you feel at peace. Ganondorf is very present through the gloom hands chasing you and Phantom Ganon, the regional phenomenon, the memories, the approach to his lair, puppet Zelda screwing around with everyone etc.
-I DON’T think that makes Ganondorf a compelling antagonist in the game itself. This is also where I feel like there is a weakness in this game’s environmental storytelling. We never learn much about Ganondorf from himself, Wind Waker being the exception. We learn about him from the lore in the land itself and to be honest I think, for all the vastness TotK offers there is very little you can find that relates to the lore. When you think about it, outside of the geoglyphs the environment doesn’t offer many lore-specific clues. I think we could have learned so much about the Zonai from ruins but alas.
-To add onto Ganondorf, I don’t mind him being a powerhungry warlord, but I feel like something is missing. It feels like he exists in a vaccum where he talks and acts past everyone. For example, if he had interacted with Riju or the Sage of Lightning cementing that power meant everything to him in his abandonment of his people, I feel like it would have really made him feel a lot more cold hearted and terrifying.
-I DO think the soundtrack for TotK is amazing. I think Ganondorf’s theme in this game, the build up, the mixture with his renown leitmotif and the theme of the Calamity, is the best one yet for me. The soundtrack just lends so much atmosphere to the game and makes exploration something special.
-I still think that the sky islands and the depths are empty and don’t offer much, especially for the depths. If you enjoy mining and collecting materials then I suppose its fine but the depths and sky felt like once you explored 20% of it you’ve seen whatever it has to offer. Given that the sky was such a big thing in all the promotional material it felt disappointing to see that it didn’t play that big of a role in the game. Most of the meat of the game is still on the surface.
Look, I know I sound like a hater when it comes to TotK but I actually enjoyed playing the game. I still enjoy it. I like talking to npcs and generally just fucking around in the game while taking in the scenery. I just feel like in this day and age when LoZ has the potential to improve in certain areas that people want to counter with “But LoZ is never about the story” and “Nintendo games rely on gimmicks”. The story is very weak in this game. I think it merits its criticisms because its weaknesses break the game’s immersion. It’s hard to watch people wonder about puppet Zelda when I know what’s happening and I’m somehow silent about it. And BotW’s success in its gimmicks come after a string of gimmicky LoZ games that were failures so it cannot rely on gimmicks for success either. And, to be fair, I think it’s insulting to the developers and writers to spout that LoZ doesn’t care about its story when there is one there clearly, even moreso than the people who acknowledge that the story is there and it has weaknesses.

i wanna ramble about licorice cookie so i decided to do it here because no one is going to stop me
(putting a read more cuz this is going to be. VERY long..)
(DISCLAIMER: I HAVENT PLAYED KINGDOM A LOT AS I PLAY OVENBREAK MORE, SO TAKE EVERYTHING I SAY WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. TY :3)
(would do ovenbreak wise but erm....... cant be asked to </3)
ANYWYAS as i said from my other account's reblog, it would be. amazing to see a licorice-focused update. YES, he HAS been included in multiple other updates, the most noticable one was the BTS collab (bro finally was significant in an update </3) but other than that, his entire existance has been pushed aside for other cookies.
now don't get me wrong, its cool to see new cookies appear in the game but.. can you... finish other pieces of lore.. please?? this doesn't only apply to licorice cookie obviously, but sinc ehtis post is only abt lico im going to use his lore as an example
..or would HAVE if he had any.
if i recall correctly, the only even "hint" of lore was him briefly talking about growing up in the Licorice Tribe in Chapter 13, claiming how it was "a shabby town to begin with", and its now in complete ruins. now i've sorta havent played the entirity of Chapter 13, but i've went through many spoilers of it and noticed that. there's nothing rlly much, except for that. (oh, i did hear he did help control the Licorice Sea, but i am not sure if that's canon or not.)
other than that, devsisters hasnt really... done anything with him? lore related?? ivve seen another post mentioning something about how he was just reduced as a comic relief and had wasted potential, which i heavily agree on.
like.. devsisters you cant just briefly mention the tribe he grew up in and never mention it again?? theres so many people who would love to know more about licorice's past, but devsisters practically ignores that just for some reason??
it really sucks as well, because if more lore about him was revealed, i feel like people would get a better understanding about his character, and not be seen as some "haha funny emo!!!!!!!!!!" (off topic but he isnt even emo HELP. he. he was confirmed goth by cookie run's official insta page but yeah) cookie that would never be taken seriously.
also, if more lore about him got revealed, i feel like it would help explain more about how he turned out the way he was..?? yes, i am aware his little story info thing DOES explain it was due to the lack of recognition, but it would be better to see. an even more in-depth explanation, as the info given about him has always been really.. breif.
the main point is, i would really love to see a licorice-focused update. a CoD update would probably be good enough if they can't be bothered, but if there WAS a CoD update, theres a very high chance of licorice being pushed aside for some.. idfk super epic or new cookies for the CoD
anwyays thank yyou for listening to my TED talk and thank you to that one licorice fanart that made me give into the urges of rambling about licorice :33333

Whats your perspective on names?
Do you have any specific thoughts about them? how did you find yours? did it take long to? how many have you had? also your characters! obligatory "I Love Your Work!" (and i enjoy riffling though new and also rereading old), So from amaethon to cecil to danny to the King family and the Laithes family, their names are one aspect that have always stuck out to me because they all integrate into their stories while still feeling unique in contrast to each other! i dont miss that a lot of it is influenced by your interest in fae lore and your welsh heritage either. where does the name come in during your writing process, is it the first or last thing you think of? do you have a mish-mash of where you find them? any pettier more low stakes opinions on names?
(all this started bc i'm struggling to find a name, and want the perspective of another trans person :) !)
I changed my name when I was about 15 - it comes from a similar biblical root as my deadname, so basically I shortened my deadname and then looked for other names that it could be a nickname for.
For me, it really wasn't a long or involved process - it happened quite smoothly and easily, and I've never felt like I needed to try other things or find something that fit me better.
Johannes is a Dutch and German name - it's an older form of John and is like Ioannes / Yiannis in Greek, and it comes from Hebrew for God is gracious. It can be shortened to Johann, but generally my actual loved ones either call me John or Johnny, or they call me Hannes.
"Johannes" in German is kind of a stereotypical old man's name? A German friend was laughing a lot about it because she said that to me and I was like "Yeah?" and she was like, oh, yeah, that fits, lmao.
I do play around a lot with names, and I'd say that I take them from a lot of different sources and get creative with them. Multiple times I've called a character "Henry Sutton" without realising I've done it multiple times, which is why I've got a few Henry Suttons knocking about.
For more established characters with deeper backstories, I play around a lot with the naming process - I normally have a particular mouthfeel or aural impact I'm going for, such as a certain number of syllables or a particular "flavour", like a name that has a feel of a particular class or country or profession.
With that said, I think most of my names I pick quite quickly and feel out early on in the process - it's rare that a character of mine is more fleshed out and lacks a name, because I find a name is such a useful part of someone's identity and informs a lot of how they move in the world and are perceived and treated. Something like their appearance is far less important, funnily enough.
I like to employ some literal stuff - Valorous King, for example, is very aptly named in a way that can sometimes feel like a curse to him; Amaethon is actually one of the children of Dôn, but people don't really know old Welsh gods and goddesses very well, so it just feels like a random elf name; Ganymede Cavendish is named for a beautiful young lover of Zeus, and he is just as beautiful and victimised in the same way as his namesake.
Other times, I go with more irony or play with juxtapositions - name a character for joy or ease when they're generally miserable or tortured; name them something small when they're very big or vice versa; name them for darkness when they're very light, etc.
I'll often take forenames or surnames from things I'm watching or playing or listening to - when I want to pluck a name out of the air at random and am worried I'm using too many of the same names, but want like, "real" names that real people use and live with, it's fucking great to pick names out of the credit sequences of TV or movies and mash them up.
Sometimes I scroll through census records and stuff, but the problem with the number of characters I have is that I can't always do that - as much as it's realistic for many characters to be called Jones or Evans or Williams, I'd need to make a thing of it in fiction. Census records are great for older characters, especially from the 1700s-1900s.
The ones that are actually hardest for me is Latin names - Greek ones I'm a lot more comfortable handling, but my Latin grammar is fucking dogshit, and I often worry about mishandling a name or reusing one that's too commonly written already. Medieval Latin is alright to play with, but when I'm writing old Roman characters I just feel like I'm kicking my own ass the entire time.
I will say that some shit in that regard is just fucking lazy. I abhor the lazy tendency in fiction to introduce a Black character and call him Mr White or Mr Chalk or something similar, especially when it's contrasted with an evil white character and/or that character's best friend who's named Black or Ebony. It's not in itself that awful, it's just the fact that it's so overdone and clichéed, and comes from a really basic humour and sense of irony that doesn't really build on or create anything, just lazily says "haha, this guy's Black and this other guy's white, isn't that a thing?"
I don't actually have a problem with reusing some names a lot - John, Henry, Daniel, etc - and I will often just search "common names [country]" and play with similar names that jump between and change from different languages or change throughout history. It can be worth looking up legends or stories from a certain region or like, old wives' tales and stuff, because like...
Sometimes, the benefit of a common or uncommon name is in its cultural impact - a name like mine, a name like John, is ubiquitous, but that means you can draw loads of parallels to it; on the other hand, if you grab a word that's very much not a name, but is a place, an object, a common noun, an animal, a turn of phrase, etc, you create a tension around that character with the other characters around them, even if people aren't commenting on it directly and even if you don't tell the reader immediately that their name is unusual or noteworthy.
When you're playing with a name that has a lot of cultural impact within a culture you're writing, as a name or otherwise, it can be fun to have a name that will have a lot of resonance for the characters you're writing, but doesn't inherently have that same impact on the reader (or only has that impact if the reader is already familiar with them culturally, or is familiar with the niche historical/religious subject you're working with).
An obvious one in mine is Esben's pets, for example, are called Kottr the dog and Hundr the cat - Kottr in Old Norse means cat, and Hundr, dog. A lot of English speakers will notice the cognates there if they think about it, but I've had people who speak Nordic languages comment on it a lot because it's just a fun little thing.
Gellert Osgodby has named himself after Gelert the dog - but in Welsh, we don't use two Ls to make an "l" sound. In Welsh, his name would be pronounced more like Geshert (the ll sound isn't easy to transcribe in English). He's fucked that up, and that's part of how you can tell he isn't Welsh himself, and isn't a Welsh speaker.
I definitely am influenced most by Welsh and Irish mythologies and stories, and I do tend to play with some Jewish cultural elements a lot as well, if not directly with Jewish mythologies.
Part of that, I regularly say, is because of the way that Welsh and Irish stuff tends to be treated by US American creators who identify as Welsh/Irish/Scottish/ "Celtic" or whatever and just go for random butchery of everything in sight - it's not their fault they don't have any sense of cultural respect, because that's not the culture they were raised in, but it does irritate me, and like...
Because I get so snippy about Welsh stuff, I try to be a lot more careful handling other cultures, particularly in various ways oppressed or minoritised ones, especially who are often misrepresented in media in similarly clumsy, lazy, or just entitled ways.
For names in cultures I'm less familiar with and coherent with, what I actually do is regularly search the full name I'm using, but also like, search Wikipedia entries for famous celebrities that use that language, come from that country or culture, and are of the same caste, religion, or ethnicity as the character(s) I'm working on and basically just read a bunch and contrast and compare.
Sometimes I very explicitly go against a lot of cultural stuff depending on which cultures I'm drawing from - Velma Kuroda, for example, has picked a name very much at odds with the more traditionally Japanese name her brother has picked, and that has to do with family beef that I'll get into later in Little Devils.
In Derek Landy's Skulduggery Pleasant, people have three names - their regular name, their magical name, and then their true name written on their soul, by which they can be commanded and coerced; in T.S. Eliot's The Naming of Cats, cats have three different names - the name by which their human family call them, the name by which they're known to other cats, and then their secret, most innate name, known only to themselves.
Many of us have multiple names and go by different names in different circles - many Jewish people have a Hebrew name, and gerim might pick one when they convert; in Ireland, a lot of people have their names as Béarla different to their names as Gaeilge.
Some people go by their middle names or are called a completely different name to the one they were named at birth - Hell, some people don't even realise until they're adults that the name everyone's always called them isn't their official documents name.
And that's not even considering queer people and how many names we might cycle through, feeling out the ones that fit or don't, using different names in different circles or for different personas, using different names online or offline.
There's a lot of power in a name and in a naming, but there's also a lot of leeway and flexibility, and one name isn't the same to all the people who might use it - I try to reflect that living quality in lots of the characters I write and play with.
With a name, I would say it's important to think about how it feels in your mouth and in your hands - how it feels to say your name, how it feels to write it, how it might feel to write your signature, what spelling you choose or what characters it's made up of, what your initials might be, etc. What nicknames you might or mightn't like.
How does or would the name strike people, depending on who they are or where they're from or how old they are? Are you named for someone - someone people would or wouldn't recognise? A figure from myth, from TV, from books, a historical figure, a religious or cultural figure, someone you love, a relative, an ancestor? Is your name usually a name at all?
I know so many people with so many beautiful names, many of them unexpected, either because their parents or family chose them, or because they chose them themselves, and I know there's a lot of choice out there, but good luck with the hunt! I hope you find something that fits, and feels like it sings to you!

Can I have Dwight Hendrickson x Fem reader with the prompts "I’ll take care of you" + "I trust you"?
Tumblr media
Hi Sunny, I only usually do one prompt per ask for future reference.
Thank you for submitting for Dwight, I'm really enjoying exploring him!
Companion piece to Odd Socks & The Day We Met
Tumblr media
You’re struggling, Dwight can see it a mile away. It’s the reason he offered to drive you home, the reason that the two of you are still sitting in the truck parked outside your cottage, listening to the rain pitter patter on the roof.
“I haven’t lose control like that in a while.” You tell him, tilting your head away so you can watch the droplets run in rivets down the glass.
“The things he said…” Dwight trails off because he can see the tension in your shoulders, the fact you’re trying not to cry.
“They’re all true.” You say finally, swallowing hard against the emotion in your chest. “I was twelve when I electrocuted my mother, she’s never recovered from it. She’s in an assisted care facility up in Cherryfield that he pays for.”
There’s a lot of missing pieces to what you’re saying, a lot of things he doesn’t understand. He was born in this town but he didn’t grown up here, he doesn’t know the lore the way Nathan or Duke does.
What he does know is that your Trouble is emotion based, that if you get angry, scared, upset it can manifest unpredictably. Which is why he’s going to be forking out for a new coffee machine since you’ve just completely obliterated the one back at the station because the Rev had come at you saying horrible things, cruel things.
“I don’t understand.” He says quietly. “But I want to.”
“My mother was very religious, she believed that the Troubled were cursed, afflicted.” You tell him and already he can see the road that this is taking. “What do you think happened when she discovered her daughter was born with one, when it manifested after her father left?”
“She took you to the Rev?”
You nod your head, wiping away the tears that leak down your cheeks with the back of your sleeve.
“Alex…” He says softly, his hand reaching for yours. “What did they do?”
“An exorcism.” You tell him. “They performed an exorcism and it triggered me again.”
Dwight can not describe the rage he feels in that moment, the fury, the devastation. His hand squeezes yours and you squeeze his right back.
“Your mom?” He questions.
“Yea. It was all directed at her” You utter before raising your head to meet his gaze. “She’s deteriorating, the damage I did it’s killing her and he wanted to tell me that, to remind me…”
You don’t say the words but they hang in the air between the two of you.
That I’m a killer.
“You were a child.” He tells you, his thumb chasing away the tears that line your cheeks. “One who was put in a horrific position. You didn’t do it on purpose. He has no right…”
He trails off because you don’t need his anger right now, you need his love, his compassion, his understanding. You need someone to look after you because you’re exhausted, overwrought and frankly a little dangerous.
“You trust me right?” He murmurs, his forehead coming to rest upon yours. “You trust me the way that I trust you?”
You draw comfort from his touch, you always have. It grounds you, anchors you, keeps you steady in a that world doesn’t make sense.
“Let me take care of you tonight.” He whispers against your lips. “Let me be there for you, the way that you were there for me.”

I saw people sharing thier favorite animatics related to November 16th/cwilbur, so I'd join in!
SO, in no particular order-
youtube
WOLFY WILL BE APPEARING AGAIN AND AGAIN! WOLFY NEVER MISSES WOOOO! The lyrics are wonderful and i love the blind in one eye look, it's so cool! watching cwilbur spiral in limbo as they reassess everything matches really well with song!!!!
youtube
I LOVEEEEE knp!!!'s art style and the moments they add line up PERFECTLY! Every chorus going "i miss you" at a different point in cwilbur's life as the song follows him through his story!
youtube
this circulates in my brain about three times a week MINIMUM i know i keep saying but i won't ever stop screaming about the LYRICS FITTING THIS SO WELLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!11!!!!!1 He didn't have it in himself to go with grace!! *points over and over again* And he can go anywhere he wants! ANYWHERE HE WANTS! Just Not Home! *curls up and sobs* and cphil!!!! "YOU HAD TO KILL ME BUT IT KILLED YOU JUST THE SAME ... YOU TURNED INTO YOUR WORST FEARS" MY LORD ROZU
youtube
i said Wolfy would be back and here it ISSSS!!! i ADORE explorations of cfundy's rocky relationship with cwilbur 'cause THAT'S HIS DAD *cries* and then switch to CPHIL and the CTOMMY, ommmmmgggg *holds gently* the family dynamics. yet it focuses on cfundy and i think we as a fandom neglect that part of the canon family or at least i can never get enoughhhhh
youtube
So this is ABOUT Revivedbur, and features a lot of flashbacks from the l'manberg eras as it changes alongside cwilbur. It's ctommy talking to cfoolish about cwilbur and i think about this conversation so often it's wonderful to see it in an animatic! it really highlights ctommy's philosophy and relationship with c!wilbur! ToKtopus
youtube
oh this one is so heavy but also so beautiful and i love it so much. This is where I adapted the headcanon into my brain that cwilbur had a l'manburg flag sewn on the inside of his jacket, over his heart, at all times. the silent monologue of ghostbur until the line at the end about everything around him being alive, except him.
youtube
sometimes i think wilbur and tommy listened to two bird right before starting the pogtopia arc and went "hey we should base our ENTIRE dynamic this arc on this" and then went live lol. I love this artsyle it's so cute and fits each character so well! I love the eyes in particular!
youtube
O to the Z to the Y to the MANDIUS wooo!!!! this changed MY brain chemistry and this changed the FANDOM's brain chemistry! if you are new here watch to change YOUR brain chemistry! and then go watch the rest of sad-ist they were one of the animators who popularized and showcased the lore of the dsmp arcs! Wilbur connects this poem to his character and it's so awesome seeing it read out and put to an animatic!
youtube
The mix of stream quotes with music is a SAD-ist staple and one of my favorite parts of their animations it just makes everything so hype! This just showcases the pogtopia arc up until right before the final battle so well! i love it every frame is a screenshot *chefs kiss*
youtube
And the odd-ball choice! Not cwilbur or ghostbur or l'manburg related, but instead it's that Oncelor song about the SCHLATT ADMINISTRATION! There is a eye strain warning in the title that gets cut off in the link, so I'm letting you know here! this is a really fun video and the colors are very saturated and fun! It has great humor and i laughed multiple times all while being very foreboding about what's going on in the Manberg era.
annnnndd there is a ten video limit so instead I'm going to link the last two:
knp!!!'s animatic "Not Your Fault" which is about cphil and his feelings after killing his son, going through the guilt and blame and all that good stuff. The chorus of "it was not your fault but mine, it was your heart on the line. i really fucked it up this time, didn't i, my dear?" just KILLS me every time!
The follow-up to SAD-ist's animatic above is "Dawn of 16th" and is amazing as always for balancing the music with the dialogue to create and wonderful narrative about that day!

Unwritten Fic Ideas Game
I was tagged by @from-the-coffee-shop-in-edoras to participate in this game (thanks a lot!!) and I had to sort through my work-in-progress ideas (which I listed in this post) and my unwritten ideas, a few of which are included in the aforementioned post. Fortunately, I do have a few others that I haven't even started writing. I will say that these ideas are very rough, don't seem to go anywhere so far, and probably will never be completed!
Basically, my ideas come first from characters that I dream up, and as I develop their backstories and personalities, I think of compelling plots for them! Unfortunately, it takes a very special combination of elements to result in a well-formed, plausible story for these characters, and a lot of them just end as concepts, which is what you'll mostly see here. I also feel like because a lot of my fics center around original characters, I have to work a little harder to earn people's interest in my stories (especially since the characters in question aren't the traditionally moral, attractive, and skilled characters that a lot of the readers on my preferred platform naturally gravitate to, Esandryya especially).
Another reason these stories haven't really taken off the ground is because I always write from my heart, and if I'm going to write a story, it has to have a deep and real meaning that compels me (like Healing Hands, Traitor, and Misfit). If a story idea doesn't have that, I probably won't end up writing it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyways, enough about me, here are the ideas!
Tooth and Claw - Basically a comprehensive research novel written by Sauron about his development of the werewolves, which will then follow the story of a young, later-generation werewolf who escapes from him and does her own thing in Harad (likely to join a band of Haradrim renegades seeking to overthrow Sauron). I do actually have a bit of lore for this story, particularly about the main character, her friends/family, and Sauron's development of the werewolves.
Finglain - Finglain is just a character floating around in my head who I really love (I actually created him during an rp!). He is a prince of Sirion, albino and deaf (but he's incredibly good at Osanwe to make up for his lack of hearing). His father is an exiled Noldo Lord and whose mother is a Sinda Lady. Basically, his family's goal is to find a way back to Valinor (because both of his parents deeply yearn to go to Valinor, his father because he regrets leaving and his mother because she regrets not following Orome in the first place), and because Finglain doesn't technically have the Curse on him, a lot of hope rides on him to find a way, and his story would be about his search for Valinor. He befriends Osse and Uinen and gets captured by Sauron at some point. Because I feel like he doesn't have a substantial story, I haven't really given much thought to writing one about him, but maybe someday...
Cuithil - I feel like this guy has a lot of potential, I just don't really know a story for him. Cúroen is a Maia of Irmo and Vaire, whose powers are of dreams, illusions, and prophecies. His purpose was to deliver Irmo's dreams and Vaire's visions to the peoples of Middle-Earth, but he desired to make his own dreams, rather than just delivering ones created by Irmo and Vaire - but Irmo said it was not his station to create. Infuriated and resentful, Cúroen fled their service and lived in Helcaraxe for many years, trying and failing to perfect the art of dream-weaving. Melkor learned of his existence while he was in Valinor and saw an opportunity to corrupt Cúroen, so he sent Mairon to try and persuade him to join them. Cúroen listened to his words and decided to join them, becoming Fuithil, Master of Nightmares. He dwelt in Angband mainly for the purpose of honing his experiments (always wanting to find the secret to making dreams), and was perfectly content to follow Melkor's orders of using his nightmares on captives to interrogate or torture them, usually driving them to insanity. In the Second Age, he and Mairon worked together to try and overcome Numenor; Fuithil fabricated a 'prophecy' for Ar-Pharazon, in which he conquered the world with the help of Annatar. However, when Numenor fell, he was overcome with grief, shame, and terror, and he realized how terrible all he had done was; he returned to Valinor in shame, begging forgiveness from the Valar, and was sentenced to prison in Mandos for an Age. In the Third Age, he was released - but too ashamed to return to the service of Irmo, he pledged himself to Nienna.
Anyways that was super long, but I like to overexplain and I love talking about my characters, so if any of you are interested to know more, send asks!
Tagging @frodothefair, @dreambigdreamz, @sotwk, and anyone else who wants to participate!!
