i don’t like the idea of people calling fics and people who read them “delusional” since you’re hopefully engaging with it purely as an act of fiction. i think it’s okay to have celebrity crushes, especially if you’re in the same boat as me (trust issues, but i can indulge myself in the idea of a relationship when it’s something literally impossible). i think it’s okay to write/read about them as long as you aren’t crossing that line into thinking its real.

you can daydream about being held by someone without expecting to be a reality. you can read reactions of having your first kiss with someone without thinking it’ll happen someday with that exact person. fiction is something comforting to a lot of people, and sometimes using someone’s likeness (like i and other writers do) can help. i don’t claim to be writing the “real” svt or trsr or anything because i don’t know them. i gauge reactions based off what they’ve shown us of themselves.

i think it’s genuinely fine to engage with content like this as long as you’re separating fiction from reality. basically i feel like i’m writing ocs that are based off the public personas we’re shown. i can feel safe while writing these things because i know they’re not really going to happen. maybe other people feel the same way, too, or maybe they just want to escape from reality for a bit via a free medium. nothing wrong with that.

Dam being a Jason Grace stan in the fandom is a fucking tragedy lol. Not only do we have to deal with him being screwed over by uncle Rick, but we have to deal with the fandom hating him aswell lol, i feel like Jason Grace slander wouldnt affect me half as much if his character had gotten a happy ending. In most of the fan art, you see people who draw them looking the same age pre-age up, because Damian is really short at 13. And people started to ship them when Jon is 10 year old child. You don't date a child when you're a teen, or date a 14 year old teen and being a college student, that is weird.

not being in the sims community for a few years (computer problems, couldnt play) and then coming back only to see so many creators have their cc behind paywalls sure was a shock tbh. i dont blame ppl for having patreons for their cc in general, ive seen plenty of creators have patreons with all their cc for free; becoming a patron being just an optional way of supporting them. plus, im pretty sure patreon has unlimited space, so ig itd also be a good idea if u dont have/dont want to use sfs or other unlimited upload sites (also posting pics with the files is a plus)

some ppl tho are like, wild. ive seen ppl charging 20$ a month and only releasing like, at most 3 patron only things per month then complain abt their stuff being shared for free.... like, youre selling 3 items a month for 20$, which is the same price as the base game when it isnt on sale. plenty of ppl already dont pay for the game itself, do u think theyre gonna want to pay the same amount for 3 things??

yeah nonny I'm in the same boat, it was so shocking for me to come back to this lol. I never imagined this many people would have patreons. I think it wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't almost everyone. But here we are lol.

I remember when patreon tiers were $1 and you got access to everything. When I first saw someone with $3+ it was the most expensive I'd seen for maxis match early access cc, and it really wasn't worth it for that creator. Now it seems like so many people are $5 minimum??? And sometimes you don't even get access to everything? The cost has increased drastically and more importantly- the quality isn't there.

I've had a few items that I downloaded when it became free and tested in game and went, "thank god I didn't pay anything for this". Lack of LODs or proper maps, high poly, holes, improper weights, etc. All of this to me is fine for purely free cc (as long as there's nothing game breaking). But to me, for paid cc, early access or exclusive, is unacceptable. And there is no way to know what you're going to get, and if there's a problem, you're out of luck. It may not be fixed, and you're certainly not getting a refund.

And then there's the issue of the tiny mesh edits. I know for a fact there are many people, if they knew how simple the edit was, they would never pay for certain items. I am not paying anyone for 5 minutes in blender. I would honestly rather pay for a recolor than a lazy ass mesh edit. That's more time and effort than making a hair two inches shorter. You don't even have to edit the texture, just make hat chops, and sometimes not even that! I have literally made certain hairs in under an hour and I'm not even that experienced! Separated the werewolves stuff in around the same time. I made the necklaces I posted recently in a couple lazy afternoons, like ten minutes per. Of course it added up since I did so many at once, but nickel and diming per tiny mesh edit? The ratio of time and effort vs payment is ridiculous. There are so many talented creators that do amazing work that takes days, weeks, etc for free. And there are talented creators that do really awesome items for early access as well, that seem worth the money. So when I see that sort of cheap tiny edit thing... it feels like these creators are taking advantage of the consumer that may not know better. It's embarrassing.

If that $20 was for 3 things that took the creator 5 minutes each to make, wouldn't you be even more upset? And then imagine that creator has hundreds or even thousands of patrons. And doesn't contribute anything to the community other than paid content. No interaction, no gameplay, no chat, never existed before popping out of the womb with a patreon. It's insulting. Is this community just a cash cow? And people wonder why we're all so tired, even if it's following EA's rules.

so my aunt is the second oldest, and the most violent one of the family (ppl in my mom's village literally steer clear of her when they see her walking on the road), and i think this was when she was coming back home from a friends house/college, she didnt specify that, but she did say it was in the afternoon on a summer day and she was alone.

so for context, my mom's village is this really remote place near banaras where robberies, murders and whatnot happens frequently, so its common for people to walk around with knives or guns. my aunt, my mom and younger uncle carried knives, while my other uncle (the oldest) carried a gun.

my aunt, in very simple words, has anger issues. and these gang members followed her, eager to rob her because they hated my nani (because she'd been the one who sent their leader to jail). so my aunts walking down the road, alone, and these gundas are following her. she notices and grips her knife in her bag and almost swings it at them when she hears one of them say my mom was hanging out with a rich boy from the city (the rich boy in question was my dad), and basically insulted her honour.

my aunt sees red and turns around and says she'd like to fist fight them. unless, they're weak little boys who only rely on guns for strength. the men agree, because cmon this puny girl insulted their pride. my aunt in a fight is a feral little thing, she screams, punches, scratches and completely scares you. half of my own fighting techniques are what she's taught me.

now the thing is, she won because she cheated. she said it'd be a fair game, just their fists, no weapons, and she did fight like that for the first few minutes, until she took out her knife and stabbed them all, alerted the neighbours about the ppl so they'd go to jail and ran away to home.

so she's told me why she cheated, because she's not a man with a fragile ego that'll get hurt on being labelled a cheater. she's a woman, and since women aren't physically more powerful than men, they have to use their brains to win. which means cheating.

so yeah she's an icon, and the mother of my favourite cousin, the 23 year old who somehow got the four to five bottles of petrol.

Blurry is a character and swears and trolls and bullies. I have done none of those things other than when I reacted poorly to John being a freak. I called him the F-slur and blocked him. I was just really uncomfortable because I thought we were pals and were just chatting casually. Which was John, Mycroft, and Harry, roleplaying on OOC posts. After John said this was a case for the followers to solve, or something. That was weird, when he said multiple times that he wanted to not be part of it, or something.

So Blurry joked about what was happening in the roleplay. As seen above. I have stayed silent about the mods out of respect but they have involved themselves countless times, for some reason. I don't know why, because if John literally just blocked the ones speaking out, most of his followers wouldn't even know the drama? No one was messaging HIS followers to "expose anyone" so like. dude. block and move on.

i dont know what sherlock did when he was, messaging people (i dont want to say their name as they have requested to be left out of it ect ect, but for that it looked like only 1 person, idk) that day? but since then he's been silent. so if HE was doing something wrong that day, thats one thing, but he literlaly gave up and has been silent since. compared to johns MULTIPLE things lol

except for like, when he posted telling john and mycroft to leave him alone. so that shows more that John and Mycroft are the ones doing harassing, sherlock look3d like he was teying to move on after reciving shit news of being replaced. the day OF he wasnt because we all think he literally wasnt told, like john said he was.

Like I understand where your comment came from but I feel like fandom is supposed to be fun and if you genuinely felt a micro aggression from their art you could’ve educated them. The reason people are hating is because of how you personally handled the situation from doubling down to not taking peoples criticisms seriously. I think if you weren’t interested in talking to the artist why bother posting the art? Maybe make a text post to gripe instead of including the actual art. You’re blog is your own and you have a right to your opinion on your own blog and yes their art was cringe (although v cute style!) BUT it’s better to be cringe than mean. I think the following ways for an instant unfollow or block is that isn't in my rules:

1. Posting an opinion or supporting an opinion that ridicules criticism while also being critical yourself or supporting someone that does? It's super hypocritical, but I can get how people can get suckered into wanting to defend their content creators/idols, so at the same time I give a little bit of slack before a block. It just makes someone come off as really stupid or just someone that shouldn't be looking at opinions or 'actual criticism' who can't tell the difference between actual harassment on the internet, of all things. I think I see this happen with Vivziepop or her fans that defend her along with Vtubers the most in any rpc/content fandom at this point, but I usually have her tag/fandom tag muted and I only glance at twitter so yeah. They can have their opinions, Vivziepop/Vtubers too, but in the market place of free ideas? They just come off as really weak when coming at it from a dismissive angle rather than defend your points or actually engage if you decide to approach or just simply tell someone to fuck off if directly given to you, yeah. Mostly because if it isn't worth responding to? Then why even go as far to point people out is my thing? It's the paradox that you don't care but do care actually to the point of wanting to put things down rather than explain it, unless you have to, it comes off as insecure, but nuance I don't expect ppl to get it and it's fine, etc, it really depends as if you were dead on straight asked a question that was critical? I think it'd be fine to just say 'Yeah I don't care, this opinion/topic is worthless to me', then just move on lol, I would have INFINITE more respect for someone saying that and showing a bit of backbone rather than hiding behind any justification or their fans. Point #1:

I do talk about things even when they're problematic, even when it comes to characters I love. But our definition of what's problematic is probably not the same, since for Greens stans I'm automatically someone who is problematic herself. I've never whitewashed my favorites characters or ships, and since you're talking about HOTD: I never said that because there's a right side, said side didn't do anything wrong. I even said Rhaenyra was a tyrant, because it's the truth and everyone who has read Fire & Blood knows what she's done during her reign. Just because she's one of my favorite ASOIAF characters doesn't mean I think she was a really nice person and a good queen. I guess that's why it bothers me when I see comparisons to Daenerys, even though they have parallels, because unlike Rhaenyra, Dany is a hero, not a tyrant.

Point #2:

Not all people who are team Blacks think Aemond deserved to lose an eye. Some people did say it, yes. Just like some people said that Luke deserved to die, or to have one eye removed too. But that doesn't mean all people who are team Greens think that, either, and I'm not gonna accuse every Alicent stan or everyone who loves Aemond to have been delighted to see Luke die. It's called common sense to realize that not all people, even those who agree on many things, do not share the same opinions and feelings on literally everything.

Point #3: I don't let anyone answer for me. I answered about a scene and doesn't feel the need to repeat myself or to talk about one scene to death. Yes, I'm 30. And? If you look at most blogs around here, it's rare to find an age, or a name. I'm one of the people who say their name, their age, their nationality and their gender. I like that people who talk to me know how they can call me, know they can speak french if they want to, know they're not screwing up when they use she/her pronouns. I also added my age because I like people to know a little about me. Many people really want to be anonymous on tumblr, but it's not my case. The point is, you have absolutely no way of knowing the age of those other people you mention. They could be older than me for all we know. You seem to be under the impression that they're all children and I'm responsible for them, but I'm not their mother. This works the other way, too. When I reblog a post, what I say and how I tag it is my responsability.

however i will talk about his positive relationships in a second post so people who don't want to see the entire salt mines i contain about this can still get the good content. because i am about to be an unrepentant hater.

so. from the information i've gathered, there are four 'main' raiden ships that people seem to split up between. (there are more minor ones but they all suck too and i don't want to talk about them because many of them venture into the downright horrifying.) those four ships are with the following individuals: rosemary, solid snake, vamp, and jetstream sam. now, when it comes to ships, i go in for the ones that are healthy and don't completely butcher the involved characters, so if anyone's reading this who doesn't give a shit about that then i guess this post won't mean anything to you. this still applies if it's a solely physical relationship--'friends with benefits' still involves them actually being, y'know, able to stand each other, and 'hate sex' as a concept is just... no thanks. plus even in those cases a lot of this kind of thing would still require completely ignoring the characters' actual personalities. not for me, thank you!

bonus points in this particular case because raiden already has so many awful, toxic relationships in his life and i simply do not see why anyone would feel the need to add more. anyway, time to actually get into my complaints. i'm not going to be super tactful about this. or tactful at all, really. you've been warned.

i have talked about the rose thing many times already so i'm just going to skip her because i'm not sure what else there is to say.

i've also touched on the problems with vamp. i like vamp just fine as his own character, but that doesn't mean i don't still disapprove of this idea. they're incompatible by virtue of one of them doesn't really give that much of a shit and just wants to die and the other one is perfectly fine making that happen. yes, yes, vamp is freud's best friend, but that doesn't mean shit on an emotional level and i doubt it really means much if anything on a physical level either. this one would either be vastly unhealthy or ridiculously inaccurate. moving on!

next up i want to talk about solid snake. i'll be honest here, i just do not like the guy, but that isn't the reason why i don't like this ship. again, this one would be incredibly unhealthy. raiden clearly looks up to snake, i'd go so far as to call it hero worship--he seems to think of snake almost as a mentor figure, which, considering the fact that the man who he grew up with and who 'taught him everything' was another of big boss's clones, isn't that much of a surprise. meanwhile, during mgs2, snake... does not treat him like an equal in the slightest. quite the opposite, in fact. even beyond consistently belittling him for his (perceived) lack of experience, rarely giving him any actual positive acknowledgement, insulting him behind his back, and generally just being an asshole... well, this is my hot take: snake doesn't treat raiden that much better than any of the other major players do. he isn't actively trying to kill raiden (but then again, neither are the patriots, for most of it), but other than that, let's run over the list: manipulating raiden, check, lying to him, check, betraying him and throwing him to the wolves when it suits his purposes, check! (also, he basically ignores raiden actively having a mental breakdown and just says a bunch of cryptic and unhelpful shit. how caring of him, i say sarcastically.)

and to say nothing of mgs4! holy shit, mgs4 is bad on the raiden-and-snake front. raiden literally throws himself into danger constantly and almost dies three separate times while trying to protect snake. he WOULD HAVE died at the end there if snake hadn't finally gotten him to stop with the suicide missions. 'my body is a machine, i can take it' you can't put metal in the microwave for a goddamn reason. aaaaand aside from having a couple decent moments, snake is... still an asshole. he tried to take raiden to shadow moses island when he was dying and by the time he finally changed his mind (because a CHILD had to convince him not to) he was telling raiden he had a family when he had already been very clearly told that no, no he doesn't. of course raiden has a breakdown. and snake ignores him. again. raiden pours his heart out and begs snake not to leave him alone and snake just says 'this is my fight' and leaves. that's it. like i said, he has a few moments, but by and large i think it's pretty obvious that raiden cares a lot more about snake than snake does about him.

the inherent emotional and power imbalance that would be and is present in any relationship (platonic (which is what we actually see), romantic, sexual, anything) between the two of them downright horrifies me. raiden would be putting almost all of the work into it for very little in return, and i just... i can't accept that. he deserves better than that.

aaaaaaand jetstream sam. christ. this one is so popular, and for what? for what? their first meeting is sam helping murder a man raiden truly respects and considers a friend. and then maiming him. including destroying one of the only organic parts he has left. all the while mocking him and then almost killing him, too.

and their second meeting doesn't go any better. sam immediately and cheerfully starts messing with raiden's mind, employing brutal psychological warfare to the point that raiden almost lets himself get killed because he's too damn nice for his own good and can barely bring himself to fight back against the people trying to kill him.

this is, of course, all while sam is working for desperado, a company that is kidnapping children off the streets and turning them into brainwashed cyborg soldiers, aka some of the most horrifying things raiden's been put through in his life at the same time. and then he has the nerve to try and take the moral high ground.

and then there's the third meeting! in which they once again try to kill each other. the fact that sam is calling raiden a pretty boy and saying to 'show [him] a good time' during this fight does not mean anything. he's not flirting with him, he's mocking him. his tendency to do that is literally one of his most blatant character traits. it's creepy. and even if he was flirting, that's not nearly enough to build anything off of.

the fact that he decides to help raiden at the end also doesn't mean anything. unless you want to look at his dlc and decide that since he decided to help armstrong that means you ship THEM.

that's actually another of the reasons it would never work. raiden is an idealist. he has very strong beliefs about right and wrong. and sam... doesn't. his little 'we've heard enough speeches about ideals' is just something he says to disguise the fact that he doesn't have any. he flip-flops over committing atrocities like he's trying to decide what to have for breakfast. meanwhile raiden would have sooner let armstrong kill him than help with his plans. they're completely incompatible. raiden might have had some respect for sam's fighting skills, but he'd never respect him as a person. because sam goes against everything he is.

i could say so much more on that, but this post is long enough as is, and i've already made you wait almost four hours... sorry about that... i have a lot of thoughts. a lot of them.

The months-long feud between Catelynn Lowell and her family–– namely her mother, April, and younger brother Nick–– reignited over the weekend when Cate shared a recent phone conversation she had with the two, in which Nick can be heard calling his sister a “fat ass.” 

Nick’s alleged name-calling comes just a month after he posted a lengthy video to YouTube slamming Cate’s husband, Tyler Baltierra, for mistreating his sister and making insulting comments about Cate’s weight. (Nick even made a point to include a clip of the infamous “I don’t want no heifer for a wife” scene from Teen Mom OG in his video.)

This weekend, Catelynn took to social media multiple times to defend Tyler and state that he never weight-shamed her, and that it was made to appear that way on the show due to editing and strategic questions asked by their producer.

The Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star included a snippet from Nick’s video in her post over the weekend, along with the alleged phone conversation that took place last week, telling followers her brother is “the only person that has ever called me fat.” 

Cate even went on to issue a warning to those following her brother on social media, stating that he is just posting these videos to build his social media following.

“My brother says Tyler calls me names etc. which he has NEVER!!” she tweeted. “But if you hear the end of this video it’s my BROTHER calling me names so if ur gonna follow him just kno what type of person he is! A fake clout chasing one! Lies on lies!”

Cate also took to Instagram Live to “clarify” Tyler’s past comments about her weight. In a clip shared by @teenmomfanz, Cate claimed that viewers didn’t know what was really going on behind the scenes at the time.

“The truth is, back in the day when it was, ‘Tyler was saying things about my weight,’ it was actually our producer at the time [who] was pushing that [storyline],” Cate said, alleging that the topic of her weight was addressed on the show because she had mentioned wanting to lose weight before her and Tyler’s wedding.

According to Cate, she did mention to Tyler (after giving birth to their daughter Nova) that she wanted to lose some weight and admitted that she struggled with accountability. Because of this, Cate said she turned to Tyler to help her with her goals, even asking him to “call her out” if he noticed that she was “failing” in her weight loss goals.

“But [the show] never showed that part of it,” she claimed. “On TV they would only show Tyler literally calling me out–- the thing that I asked him to do.”  

She went on to accuse the show of using this storyline because she and Tyler were just “too happy” and “had no drama” to work though on-camera.  

“They didn’t want to show the side of me being like, ‘Hey Tyler, call me out if you see me falling off,’” she said. “And at that time in my life, I wasn’t going to the gym, I wasn’t, you know, I was doing it all at home and on Weight Watchers. I had postpartum [depression] on top of it, not even knowing at the time that I had it … .”

(Cate also mentioned on Instagram Live that the “certain producer” she and Tyler had at the time seemed to only focus on her weight and Tyler’s alleged issues with her body-– something she also mentioned in an Instagram post on Sunday.)

“For the LAST TIME! My husband has NEVER called me fat or fat-shamed me!” Catelynn wrote. “S**t is edited and do you REALLY think I would stay with someone that [speaks] down on me? HELL NO! What type of woman would that make me while I’m literally raising little girls! It’s ridiculous but here I am again!” 

“I’m just so sick of ppl bashing my husband and in the same breath making me seem like some quiet, held-down woman,” Catelynn added. “…that WHOLE conversation was edited and y’all took it WAY out of context! And I’m just SO SICK OF HEARING ABOUT IT!” 

Cate defended Tyler (again) Monday on social media, telling fans (again) that the statements in question that were made by Tyler on ‘Teen Mom OG’ had been “edited HARDCORE,” insisting she isn’t “some weak ass b*tch” that would stay in a relationship with someone who body shamed her.  

“My husband LOVES my body and I gave him 4 beautiful children!!” Cate continued. “You will all believe what you want! It angers me that people would truly think Ty is that way … Live a day here and you would truly see!

Cate shared her statement on both Instagram and Twitter, insisting that Tyler treats her and their daughters like queens. 

“He loves my body, adores me, tells me how beautiful I am etc.,” she noted. “Now I’m DONE with this! Believe what you want! But remember I have ALWAYS been open, honest and raw with y’all!”

In response to the post, Tyler encouraged Cate to not worry about the “big conspiracies” viewers have about comments he made nearly 10 years ago; however, Tyler admitted that he agreed with some of the criticism from fans, claiming he “could’ve definitely used better delivery” and “been more compassionate” with Cate at the time regarding her health goals.

This is a sad day for me. One of my favorite fic authors became a madam Yu stan 😭😭😭😭😭

Author was already sharing some questionable JC takes but I was willing to overlook them because -1) the majority of the Fandom has questionable takes about JC -2) author never writes fics about JC anyway, most their work is about a rarepair that I like

But now they shared a gifset of madam Ew and JC (In CQL no less) with the following tags:

The problem is this author did read the novel (and they are a novel main even) and their analysis of other characters was mostly logical and well thought out, so I was willing to let them off on their questionable opinions on JC and the Lans (I understand many people don't agree with the lans' strictness and use of corporal punishment for discipline)

Now however, they're defending madam Ew which I cannot overlook. Me being a woman I can't wrap my head around madam Ew's actions as a mother and person in general. I mean what sane woman looks at an orphaned child who had to fend for himself on the streets since he was a toddler and doesn't feel her maternal instincts to protect and nurture the child go through the roof but instead decide beat this child with an electric whip for daring to be the son of a (dead) woman her husband may have had a crush on and also for daring to be a prodigy and more talented and popular than her mediocre unlikable son and also constantly slander and insult the child's dead parents to his face. To me madam Ew is the most revolting character in Mdzs (and that's a very high bar considering how despicable some of the other characters are) mostly because of the way she treated a vulnerable child in her care

I am afraid I will have to withdraw my support from this author even if I like their writing so much. I draw the line at Madam Ew stanning and child abuse apologism
