How do Wukong and macquad act around the kids? Does macquad feel comfortable around the kids? How the like macquad when they first meet hime?

MACAQUE

okay so when macaque first comes into the family bb mk is the one that likes him the most bc well...hes a baby and OOOOOOH SHINY EARRRRSSSS.

bb mk is the first one to accept macaque because hes a baby and easy to persude. macaque is also around alot bc wukong doesnt know how to takecare of a baby monkey demon/celestial like himself. while macaque hasnt done it in a long timesince ffm he still knows what to do and teaches wukong. Macaque is the most comfortable with bb mk bc of tis as well, his lonely and depressed heart just lastches onto the kid as the kid does he and O- now theyre inseperable.

(c!macaque would beat the living shit out of canon macaque without hesitation. one look and suddenly c!mac has blood on his hands)

Mei was a little more hesitant.

you know those kids that ask you a million questions and bother you alot? those kids that just fucking STARE at you? yeah that was mei with macaque.

"why do you have six ears?"

"magic made my fur black, it was originally white and then magic turned it black

and suddenly mei is turnign into her dragon form and draping herselfover macaques shoudlers

macaque is hesitant at first but after some time he cant seem to pry himself away from ffm and the kids and wukongs constant attention.

nezha is ofc the hardest to convice.

imagine a middle schooler walks up to you, looks up at you angrily, kicks you in the shins as hard as he can then walks away.

yeah. nezha.

at first he does not like macaque and he wants him gone. the only reason he does not kick him off himself is because baba seems to like the dumpster cat and so does bb mk. plus he does not know what baby monkeys need so thats another reason.

He watches from a distance, waiting and watching for any hint of deception. if he so much as makes one of his siblings cry he's setting that fucker aflame.

but he doesnt.

he doesn't catch anything suspicious, he watches the kids drag him around and get attached, he watches macaque's hesitance and the flashes of pain in his eyes. he eventually puts the pieces together and realises that macaque was alone for a long time, he became angry and spiteful towards wukong for what happened. but deep down all he really wants is a home. a loving home.

and the way he looks at the kids. he would never hurt them on purpose. its the same look he and wukong have. that they would tear the earth asunder, shatter the heavens above and overthrow the gods for them.

so as time goes on nezha accepts macaque into the family, hes still a bit awkward around macaque especially when hes in his older form and a little more comfortable in his younger form and when he allows himself to be a kid again. but overall he ends up caring for macaque as another father.

macaque ofc notices how hesitant and supsicious nezha is and doesnt pry, he lets the young lotus prince do as he wishes but wlecomes him whenever he gets more comfortable and begins to close the distance between them. macaque wont push or shove his way into nezhas heart. instead just let the kid decide on his own what to do and when to do it. he has no right to force anything. nezha is smart enought to make his own decisions.

Macaque knows the lotus princes tale, he knows that his original family was harsh and never understanding of such a young mind.

they eventually bond tho and become the only braincells in the family.

Macaque is the more stern parent of the two, not very stern tho.

SUN WUKONG

so its complicated with nezha.

nezha and wukong having a father son relationship is just a general hc and im working on a 3pt comic for it.

but to summarise. nezha and wukong met before nezha died. before the whole dragon thing happened. nezha never had a real and kind father and during wukongs trek to find a teacher he met nezha. he stayed around for a bit and they often played outside and away from nezhas home. although wukong did have to leave so he promised to come back after he was done learning from a teacher and take him to ffm to visit. nezha ofc agreed to this.

although when wukong came back nezha was...gone.

from what he heard the young boy had died.

he mourned for the child then continued his way back to ffm.

although he was quite shocked to find a soldier amongst the celestial army that resembled the young boy alot. he couldnt believe it when he saw that little boy in celestial armor, taller then he should be, older then he should be. he might not have his golden eyes of truth yet but he can clearly see the disguise (nezha wasnt very good at it bac then)

he let nezha go and nezha retreated.

after another couple of hundred years nezha and wukong met again and this time they got to really talk, talk about everything.

then wukong brought adoption papers to nezhas place.

Nezha laughed more then he had in ages, the kind of laughter that makes you tear up. and hold your stomach, at first wukong was confused but then nezha stood up straight and handed the papers back. while he cant sign that bc he doesnt want his "biological father" to try and mess with wukong and nezha bc of this he would be honored to be swk's son. then he moved to fmm.

when he and nezha brought mei home though it was different.

wukong was devestated for the child. she no longer had any parents, the samadhi fire was too much for any other family member to take care of the child. wukong and nezha were the only ones able to take care of her and her powers.

he blames himself for what happened, if he had just never tripped and lost a piece of the fire. then this child would have had her real family.

despite this wukong takes the role of father in full stride, she is the type of parent to spoil her kids like its christmas. at least she did alot when they were babies. shes the parent that makes sure the other isnt looking then sneaks the kids some candy. anyways.

wukong loves mei with all her heart. she would never abandon her, sometimes though she wonders if she'd be better off with her biological family. although mei makes it clear she loves her mother as much as she loves her.

when wukong brought baby mk home she was once again devastated, desnt help that she had to deal with macaque too.

she went through that grief all over again, because of her this childs parents are gone.

he will gladly welcome this child into the family, its just...why do children have to lose so much at such a young age because of him.

she loves baby mk, she loves mei, she loves nezha. she loves them so much and would tear the earth apart if anything ever truly hurt them.

she is a very kind and patient parent, she never raises her voice in anger, never raises her hands, and she doesn't believe in any of that and growls at the sight of other parents pulling that bullshit. dont even get me started on entitled teachers and caretakers. let's just say there's a reason mk and mei went to a private celestial school filled with young dragons and spirits and non-human beings like them. also why they never went to a daycare when they were babies.

meanwhile macaque and nezha are behind her, glaring daggers into the person wukong is mad at. .

soooo yeah macaque and wukong, overall chill and patient parents, wukong is ussually the one chasing after the kids and dealing with thier overflowing energy. ynow that meme where one dad is holding his kid by the ankle over water ont he beach while the other dad has thier kid cuddled up on thier chest. yeah.

Yeaaah, I was a little busy, school, drawing, work, life in general, but I played TWDG again with my lil' sister and got some questions, I'd like to ask you. If you still take requests, maybe you do a christmas break or something similar ^^

Sooooo, the questioooons:

-My sister and I argued a lot about that fight Clem had with Marlon. We like it, it's just a bit short in our opinion, but my sister always complains about how fast Clem can beat Marlon, like he's some pushover compared to other enemies we encounter in the game (or games in general). And in my opinion, he's got a little handicap there, being at the edge of a real breakdown, a physical breakdown too. It's not really animated, but winning a duel with shaking hands is, eh... hard xD Anyway, my question is, do you think, Marlon would be able to beat Clem in a real fight, when he's got his head in the game? He took to kicks from her straight to the guts and didn't faint immediately, for which I'm blaming the adrenaline, but it's still a little impressive, didn't expect that from him, hehe

-What do you think the Ericson Kid's favorite meals were, before they had to rely on a little bit of soup? Imagine Omar having a real kitchen in there, man....

-Welllll, who do you think would be the most motivated for Christmas? My personal guess is Louis, but also secretly Violet, because maybe she just doesn't want to show how much she really loves the affection they all give each other then...

-When you look at the Ericson Kids, which music genre pops up in your mind? For real, I got a whole part of my Drawing Music Album for each of my favorites, if I don't listen to that while drawing them, I won't ever get it right xD Drew Marlon and AJ the other day and my god, I never listend to Metal for such a long time. That's six hours straight, Sabaton, Metallica, Man 'o War, Metal Covers....

-Rather an awkward question, but my sister wanted me to ask, so here it is - You think there's anyone who doesn't like hot chocolate? Almost all of them are kids, sooo... there's not much chance, but my sister said she can't see Aasim drink hot chocolate for some reason, weird, I know xD

For the first question Marlon vs Clem who would win in a fight: We think that Clementine would still win. We think that Marlon would put up a pretty decent fight but since Clementine has had to experience more life or death situations and has gotten into more fights so she has the skills needed to win.

Oh man Omar with a real kitchen then the Ericson kids would really be having feasts every day.

Let's see favorite meals or food...

Clementine: She loves pancakes specifically chocolate chip pancakes. She could eat those all day every day

Louis: Those PB & J's uncrustables. Definitely not what people would think is rich people food and isn't but Louis loved to buy some and stealthily eating them in his room

AJ: Ants on a log, that snack with celery that has peanut butter and raisins on them

Violet: Chicken nuggets but that's the obvious choice given you can hear about it in the game so we're also gonna add Craft Mac and Cheese. It was one of her comfort foods growing up

Marlon: Meatloaf, specifically his mom's meatloaf. He'd claim it was the best meal in the world and he would be lying if he said he didn't miss it when he got sent to Ericson

Brody: Fruit salad it's something fresh and sweet and she liked switching the fruits ever now and again when it was made

Mitch: Burgers. He loves them especially bacon burgers. He'd punch someone in the face for a bacon burger

Willy: Applesauce he loved it before the apocalypse happened and he was dancing on the picnic tables when he learned that they could use the apples from the apple tree they had to make some for everyone. He also liked those beef sticks that you can get at the checkout at grocery stores he'd scarf those up like there's no tomorrow

Tenn: Peanut butter, banana and honey sandwiches that was his go to and he could eat them for the rest of his life

Omar: Brussel sprouts with candied bacon. His grandma had a great recipe for them and he always wishes that he could make them again some day

Sophie: Grilled cheese sandwiches. Damn she loved that food and she had suggest at one point that they make the trek out to the nearest town in hopes of finding ingredients for it

Minnie: Not a meal but she loves gummy worms and would always be snacking on them while she worked on her music

Ruby: BBQ and all the fixin's. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork she loves it all

Aasim: Lamb vindaloo it was something that he grew up on and his mom always made so it has a special place in his heart

Who's motivated the most for Christmas: Louis for sure he only keeps track of days so he knows when holidays, birthdays and anniversaries are. Ruby absolutely loves decorating and loves all that Christmas time symbolizes. Brody is in a similar vein with that and finds wintertime magical. Violet also really loves Christmas even if she couldn't do much to celebrate it growing up. She'd mainly spend the day with her grandparents and mom and had a small celebration. So she was surprised when Louis brought up the idea that they should celebrate Christmas even after the world had ended but she was glad that he did.

Okay music genres. I don't know if we have specific ones for all the Ericson kids so we might just add a few here for what we associate them with

Marlon: Classic Rock: Queen, The Who, The Doors music like that. To us he just gives those vibes

Louis: Classical music and really soft and cheesy love songs

Ruby: Country Music

Violet: Not a genre but usually quiet or somber music

This is an interesting question I'd say most of all the kids like or love hot chocolate. We agree that Aasim wouldn't be the biggest fan of it but he'd probably drink it around Ruby since she loves it.

Slight panic attack,

Porcelain Face - Chapter 5

WARNING: Lilo&Stitch 2 spoilers (If you haven't watched it before)

-"So how about we go inside? Have you ever been to a porcelain store before, paper-boy?"

The guy in grey apron asked as the three of them walked into the warehouse of the shop.

-"Nope, and if you want to talk to me with a nickname it's actually cardboard boy." Virgil replied.

-"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, what's your name by the way?" The guy asked, a little nervously from the awkwardness of this conversation so far.

-"Its Virgil" The cardboard boy replied.

-"That's a lovely name you got there kiddo! I'm Patton! I'm the son of the owner of this store, cool right?" The guy so-called Patton said in a cheerful tone.

-"Yeah, yeah. Skip it, that's amazing that you guys finally know each other now but haven't we brought Vee here for a reason???" Ethan rolled his eyes.

-"Ooooh! Yeah! Explanations!" Patton finally replied.

-"Not ALL of the explanations, Pat." - the porcelain boy raised his voice a little with stress and worry.

The older one nodded quickly.

-"Soo.....Do you want to know about your mask?"

Virgil and Ethan both looked questionably at him.

Virgil's expression on his cardboard face obviously said that he indeed wanted to know more about it and the other boy was just waiting for the bomb to explode.

-"Well...I know it's magic but I don't know exactly where it came from, hehe...." Patton laughed nervously, scratching his cheek.

Ethan facepalmed his head then, Virgil though looked pretty confused and disappointed.

-"Guess we're staying here for the rest of the school time...right?" Virgil said, wanting to change the subject, what's the point of asking questions anyway if they won't tell you the answers.

-"Oh no no no! You're not staying in THIS place.

It's only for fixing Dee over here." he said pointing at the porcelain boy

"How about going to the cafe?" Patton suggested getting a glare from the porcelain boy for the nickname that was used in front of Virgil again.

-"You change your mind pretty quickly."the cardboard boy said.

-"Not wanting to be rude of course."

-"Nah, you're not.

He's just like this confused mom friend even if he declares himself a dad" Ethan simply said making the usually bubbly person huff in annoyance before smiling again and saying:

-"Welp, I may act like that sometimes but I do not have a feminine face like you, dear cousin." The older boy smirked as the younger one with heterochromia gasped offended.

-"That's not my fault! Let's just go to the cafe!"

Virgil giggled at their funny relationship, they got along pretty well. 

It was a shame for him to be honest to not have any cousins or siblings....It felt so...lonely.

After they appeared at their destination Patton asked the boys what they wanted to get, since he was the one to buy the stuff.

Virgil wanted to deny but he looked at Ethan instead remembering he didn't eat.

Apparently Ethan forgot for a second as well before getting "angry" again.

-"I can't- You bastard! How dare you Patton?! Right in my face?" The porcelain boy exclaimed as both of them knew what he was talking about, they both laughed. 

-"Your loss. Virgil will get your food then!" Patton simply said as Ethan crossed his arms, pretty pissed off at his miserable non-human being.

-"No, no I don't-"

Virgil tried explaining as Patton gasped before heading closer to the boy and whispering:

-"Please don't tell me you don't eat too."

-"No, it's just I don't want to inpose, please-" Virgil tried saying but Patton kept nagging him until he finally sighed in defeat and agreed.

As Patton went to buy the food and drinks there for a moment was  silence between the two of the other boys until Ethan finally spoke up.

-"Sooo...You're really not ashamed of me being...you know?" He asked as the other boy shook his head pretty fast it could even fall of his neck.

-"No! Of course not! You're wonderful!" He tried defending the other who smiled softly at him.

-"Are you busy tonight?" The porcelain boy asked.

-"N-no? Why do you ask?" Virgil said.

-"Then I'm inviting you over! You can finally meet my queer-platonic mums!" He said exitedly before flushing in embarrassment for saying it out loud."

-"R-Really? They won't mind?" Virgil asked again, a little more shy this time but still with hope in his voice.

-"No, but there is another problem with them that you need to just ignore..."

-"What???" Virgil became a ball of confusion at this moment.

-"They ugh....Think we are a couple? How do you say it....They...ship us?"

-"What???? And why would I be a bout-" Virgil asked with an inside joke.

-"Well, it's not exactly a bout...."

-"I know what it means, dummy. I'm just playing with you to make it sound less awkward."

-"Well, that didn't help-" As Ethan was in his mid sentence he got cut off by Patton who just came back with the food."

-"DA FOOD IS HERE!" Patton happily exclaimed.

With that sentence The boy in vitligo did some hand gestures to Patton, probably the sign language as the boy in glasses glared at him and used the sign gestures back.

Ethan: "F-U-C-K O-F-F P-A-T" 

Patton:"L-A-N-G-U-A-G-E" 

-"What were you saying????" Virgil asked but instead of answering Ethan took the muffin from Patton's plate who clearly yelled at him as he  shoved it in Virgil's face.

Unfortunately it didn't go through his mask as it was intended to.

Instead it made Virgil very uncomfortable.

-"Guess it broke, huh?" Ethan said.

-"I'll eat it later you idiot! Don't shove it in my mouth here if I can't eat it!" Now Virgil was really pissed at the other boy who now tried to apologize to him the best he could.

And it finally worked.

-"How about we go to Dee's house?" Patton suggested.

-"I already asked him that before, he agreed."

-"Yey!" Patton replied still as happy as ever.

-"But I need to get my things first-" Virgil said worriedly.

-"Oh right!" The both of them said in unison.

As Patton drove him off to his house to get his things.

His parents weren't home as usual....

After 10 bare minutes of packing he came back and popped in the car next to apparently Dee.

-"Why aren't you sitting next to Patton in the front sit?" Virgil asked curiously for why the other boy was sitting here when there was an empty sit in the front.

-"He knows why." Patton exclaimed rolling his eyes as Ethan stuck his tongue out at him.

-"Okay then..." The cardboard boy awkwardly replied.

After 10 minutes of driving or so, because Patton couldn't drive faster that 50mph.

[Ethan always woke up pretty early and run 5 km like it was nothing]

When they finally arrived Ethan went to knock on the door as he said:

"Mom C! Mamma D! I'm brought Pat and Virgil home!"

-"Pfff..Mom C, Mamma D?" Virgil said

-"Shut up" Ethan replied as two woman in the age of 30 or close came to the door.

One had light curly hair dyed the color red and as the author would describe African eyes as they were green with a big patch of hazel in the middle.

She also appeared to have a lot of freckles on her face.

She as well as Patton wore an apron but not for painting though as for cooking.

The other one looked more tomboy like, one could say.

She had pretty short but not too short dirty blonde hair, torquise eyes and a literal face of a duck.

She wore a black hoodie and stripped shirt under it, also having trainers and ripped jeans.

-"How's our not-born-from-either-of-us gay son doing?" They both said in unison as he sighed, Patton though giggled and Virgil just rolled his cardboard eyes playfully.

-"Ooooh! Is this your boyfriend you've been talking about?" Mamma D (Dominique) said.

-WHA-NO! HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND MOM!"

Ethan yelled, his face being the color of a tomato at least.

-"Not yet" Mom C (Caroline) said looking at a wall and winking to it. 

[She breaks da fourth wall]

-"God..." Dee whined tiredly.

-"Auntie Caroline and Dominique are funny aren't they?" Patton exclaimed.

-"Um....." Virgil was almost silent, as he as well as Dee blushed madly.

-"Anyways, we are going to my room, what's for dinner?" Dee asked, not caring that he himself didn't eat, since the other two on the other hand did.

-"Mac n Cheese!" Dominique yelled.

-"Mmmm, my favorite!" Patton happily cheered.

-"God, I wish I could eat....It always looks so good..." The porcelain boy mumbled not expecting the comforting pat on the back from his hooded friend in the mask.

-"It's fine, though. I'm used to this torture." The boy exclaimed this time louder.

There was a moment of silence before Ethan asked both of them:

-"Hey guys, what do you want to play?" He said pointing at a giant stock of board and video games.

-"Jenga!" Patton exclaimed

-"Monopoly..?" Virgil said unsurely.

-"Virgie NOOOO I don't want to lose you!" Ethan whined holding the paperboy's hands with the pleading yet fake sadness on his face pretending to be dramatic again making the smaller one giggle.

-"Aww you guys are cute." Patton said, adoring the other two who flushed and moved away a few inches.

After some time of playing board games like dungeons and dragons, Jenga, Uno and Hot Patt-tato they were loosing up for a movie.

-"Oh, oh! Let's watch Bolt!" Patton yelled exitedly.

-"I'd rather watch Jungle Book, It's more classic." Dee criticized

-"What about...Lilo & Stitch?" Virgil suggested, still pretty shy though.

-"which part? I have all four, plus the series." Dee exclaimed.

-"Um....Maybe the second one?" Virgil said.

-"Okay then..."

When the dinner was finally ready they all stopped the movie to eat, except Ethan who didn't want to wait for them here and later getting teased on by Dominique and Caroline, Dee left, offended and flustered, then Virgil and finally Patton.

They got to the part in which Stitch couldn't control himself anymore and screwed stuff up, him and Lilo had a fight and later on Lilo went to play a role without him as he was even more broken.

This scene made them all sob, but not as much as when Stitch was put into the fixing machine as everyone thought it was too late for him.

Now they all fully cried. What was the most surprising was that it wasn't Patton who cried the most at the scene but Virgil. 

Both Ethan and Patton tried to comfort him after watching the part.

Though there was happy ending so nothing really bad then..

-"Virgie, why did you pick a movie which would make you cry so much?" Ethan asked worriedly.

-"I just...wanted to see this part again...For some reason.."

-"Okay then..." The boy in vitligo signed.

-"Oh! Son, it was very nice to meet you and I'd be glad to adopt you as my own." Patton said with a loving stare at the masked boy.

-"Ummm....What?" Virgil asked, pretty confused now.

-"Shh..You're my baby now."

-"...Eth?" Virgil tried asking for help but none came since Ethan just gave the "shrug it off" motion.

After some time of eating snacks and talking, the porcelain boy checked the hour.

-"Oh shit we should probably go to sleep, guys."

-"Language, Dee." Patton rolled his eyes tiredly.

-"But it's only 2 AM in the morning?" Virgil asked as the other two gave him an unbelieving stare which made him regret saying this out loud.

-"Bed. Now" both of them said at the same time.

-"Nooooo" Virgil whined as he was being pulled by them to bed.

-"But my Tumblr-" he tried defending himself but for no use.

-"It won't fly away. Now sleep!" Ethan said in a worrying yet stern voice.

-"Um...I sort of have problems with that."

-"Shouldn't you put your mask away first? It's probably hurting your face no-" Patton asked yet being cut off by the younger boy in the cardboard mask.

-"NO!" Virgil yelled but put his hands to his mouth and gasped at his sudden outburst.

-"I'm so sorry, I- I didn't mean to-" he cried as Ethan came closer to him.

-"It's not your fault, it happens sometimes to every one of us. 

Now do you want me to sing you a song? Maybe it will help you sleep, I don't know...."

The smaller boy nodded without any hesitation even to his own surprise making Ethan chuckle a little as he began to sing Welcome to Wonderland by Anson Seabra.

Which actually worked as his wonderful siren like voice lulled the cardboard boy to sleep.

They both then fell asleep on the porcelain boy's bed as Patton just signed, peacefully this time and went to the living room.

-"VIRGIL WAKE UP, WE OVERSLEPT!" The voice broke the amazing silence as the boy in the bed hissed lazily not caring.

-"Virgil please, we need to go! Or I'm taking your mask off." Ethan fake-threatend.

Virgil then suddenly flicked from the bed "energized as ever"

Or rather anxious as ever.

As they both sat in the car and run as fast as they could to the classroom...

And there was a new student.

Mac for the send me a character game!

Now, this is a good character to be thinking about.

First impression - Oh man, the first impression I had of Mac... Hmmm let me think.

My first impression of Mac was that he was very smart, resourceful, and the perfect character for whumping. He was shot in the first 15 minutes of the ep, what did he expect me to think, hehe? 😈. He was good looking, and between his looks and smarts and his awkwardness and loyalty, I loved him immediately. Quick with his thinking, sharp wit, and improvising on the go, he immediately pulled me in the whirlwind that's MacGyver.

Impression now - Not much changed, I can only say that the impression I had of Mac when I saw him for the first time on my screen intensified tenfold and that there's something new to learn every time I rewatch an ep or two. Not to mention that the poor baby has tons of issues that are not visible when you meet him, but they occasionally flare up.

Favorite moment - ooooh man, I have so many favorite Mac moments... How do I choose only one? Right now the first moment that popped up in my head was that first fist bump in the Sandbox we got to see at the end of 2x12.

Idea for a story - I have so so so many ideas about MacGyver stories, where do I start? Seriously, I have noted down so many ideas in my notebook. But if I have to choose to share one idea, what I've been toying with and thinking of for months now is using the premise for the unaired pilot for a fic with Jack meeting Mac while rescuing him from the insurgent's' camp and then sticking around anyway because he really wants to see the kid make it out in the world and he feels like he and Mac had formed a bond even though they didn't know each other. I'm a sucker for those kind of stories and I want to give them both that, so I want to work on that idea one day as well.

Unpopular opinion - hmmm... I don't know what would be considered popular opinion about Mac that I don't agree with or think otherwise (at least atm I can't think of anything atm)...

Favorite relationship - Mac with Jack. No matter if it's platonic or romantic I live for these two together. They are one my favorite guys and I just love reading and writing about them.

Favorite headcanon - oh favorite headcanon I have about Mac... I have so many that I am drawing blanks at which one I should choose. But if I have to choose, Mac as Jack's biological son. Probably my favorite headcanon, in my top three for sure.

- The heat, I may be from Thailand, but I am very much done with the blaring heat. One second I’ll look real cute with my face all done up, but the moment I step out, it’s already melting from my face.

- Going to sleep; there’s SO much more I could be doing right now!

- When my bangs desperately need a trim and is poking my eyes.

- Poor lighting, doesn’t matter if it is real life, just light it like you’re IN a film!! It’s so much more dramatic that way! (For real, come to my house, every corner is lit with some sort of a look/mood 😏)

- Loud noises; when people are yelling all the time, or something is loud, I get nervous when I can’t hear my own thoughts.

- People with bad attitude, a temper, or is just kind of mean in general. There is absolutely no excuse for you to be that way, and nothing productive comes out of it. Nuh-uh.

🎬 FUN FACTS

My parents hired a piano teacher when I was in elementary school, but because I didn’t enjoy her company (for some reason), I refused to absorb information. Little did I know, it would backfire me and would have absolutely no effect to her pay.

I’m that kid who always has 4 spare pencils and 5 erasers to lend out to my peers.

Will serenade to my cat every morning and night, so if you are ever my roommate, I apologize for my horrible singings.

Performed as a cave and pot in my high school production, and lemme tell ya, it is more difficult than it sounds.

Has no problem doing laundry in the morning, but the moment the sun falls, I will be too afraid to go down into my basement to do it. Some may say that it is an excuse for me to put laundry off for the next day, but I always tell my husband that there’s a “Babadook” in there. 👀

One time I stepped on a millipede, and I cried for 2 days because I felt really bad for it.

I’m actually VERY shy most of the times, so if you see me laughing a lot like a hyena, then it’s likely that it’s just me being awkward. OR I may just be having a good time, who knows.

I’m awful around kids, I am SO awkward and will stiff up like a rock (if you see me doing that, pls come safe me). One time this kid asked me why I laugh so much, so I simply just laughed some more while backing out of the room slowly. 🤦‍♀️ 

🎬 SOME FUN QUESTIONS!

What is something you wish you were gifted at doing?

I wish I could sing. My husband is a musician, and it looks like he’s having so much fun. There’s just something so freeing about it, as if it’s another language that takes time to become fluent in, but when you are, it’s so captivating and expressive. I don’t think I’m an awful singer, but is just too incredibly shy to sing in front of others. 

What is the first movie you remember seeing in theater?

It may had been Disney’s Dinosaur (2000), not sure. All I remember was that there were a bunch of dinosaurs on screen, may had even been 3D with those glasses.

At one point, a tiger jumped at the screen, and I started crying. My mom and brother wanted to finish the movie, so my dad had to sit outside with me, until it was over. It was chill tho, my dad was teaching me different dinosaur names. 👶 🦖 🦕 

What is the first thing you do when you get home?

Pants off, baby!! I don’t usually wear a bra, but if do, then I guess it’s bra’s off first. Then I instantly hop into my plaid boxer shorts hehee. 🤭 

What has been the hardest thing for you to face or learn?

That people go through different stages of their life at different paces, and that is totally okay. When I was younger, I would always overwork, and as a result, I don’t really have a lot of time for myself. I did that, mostly, because I wanted to get a head start at everything, especially at my career. Now that I am 23-24, and had just graduated from Class of 2019, I’ve been getting film gigs since I was a sophomore, and is now a full time freelancer. 

Yet, I was not satisfied, because I got to work with a 21 y/o in a position that was under her, and it made me feel momentarily incompetent; like I wasn’t doing well enough. But it will never be enough if that’s the mindset; I never considered that she skipped university and went straight into film, so circumstances were entirely different.

Meanwhile, there’s someone 10+ years older than me who is struggling to get the work I’d get, and that is okay too. What I should’ve done is feel happy for her, and use that to motivate myself to improve.  As long as I never give up, and continue to do my best with a good attitude, everything will be just fine.

If you could give your younger self any advice what would it be?

That it’s okay to take a break sometimes, live life a little, and cherish all the happiness, sadness, heartbreak, and struggles that you are going through right now. Every tear will make you stronger, and genuine every smile will eventually pull you through. 

Time goes by very quickly, and every stage in your life is a part of you, so make sure you remember how you get to where you are well.

Do you see the glass as half empty or half full?

Half full, just grateful that there’s any liquid in the glass at all, and is excited to acquire more with all the space I’ve got on top, ya know? 🤷‍♀️ 

What is the strangest thing you believed as a child?

That if you whistle at night, the ghosts will come find you. Or if you play hide and seek at night, then you’ve opened up some kind of portal that the ghosts will kidnap you away from this dimension forever.

Tbh, I think my grandma was just sick of me trying to learn how to whistle when I was in elementary school and of me running around the house at night, so she made these omen up lol.

What time do you usually get up in the morning?

Used to wake up at 13:00-14:00 all the time, but since I married an early bird, I’ve been up at 6:30-7:00 lately.

What time is your usual bed time?

Heeheee 1:00-2:00 in the morning, oops.

How has your birth order/characteristics of siblings affected you?

I have the loveliest older brother in the world, he’s 4 years older, and is very smart, diligent, athletic, and funny. Me being the only daughter, my parents are incredibly protective, so they’d always have my brother do everything for me. 

It was a relief when I was younger, but as I enter high school, it became a little frustrating; I felt like I was living under his shadows and can never be considered independent. They’d also spend a lot more time training with him cuz he’s a national competitive swimmer.

Because of that, I had a lot of time to myself, so I experimented with my own interests and grew in my own way. As I’ve grown, I can definitely say that it’s made me a lot more independent and introverted haha. I absolutely dislike depending on anyone (Will be my last resort), but it’s also nice to know that whenever either of us fall, we’ll always have each other’s back.

Do you think vlogging in public is scary?: i don’t think it’s scary, but for the most part I’d feel too awkward recording myself in public if I had to. I can’t even shoot a video of myself while alone in my room.

Would you want to be in a collab channel on YouTube?: I know what collabs are, but I didn’t know collab channels were something that existed. That said, no thanks.

Ever performed on stage? Was it scary or amazing or both?: Yes. In my old school our theatre manager would produce annual productions and every single student had to participate, because each batch has their own performance. I never had a solo role, though.

How many siblings do you have? What are their names and ages?: Nina’s turning 20 this year. My brother is 17.

What social class would you say you're in?: Middle, upper middle where I’m from. Would certainly be different if I based it in the context of wealthier countries.

What did you do for your last birthday and how old did you turn?: I had to stay home obviously, but my parents prepared my favorite food for that day which was good enough for me. Anj had sushi delivered to my place too.

What's the most recent music video you watched? Thoughts?: I was marathoning Buzzfeed Unsolved hehe. I recently got into it again :)

What types of music do you enjoy most?: During the quarantine I’ve been all over lo-fi; but I also like synthpop, indie folk, pop rock, punk rock, and the ever basic Top 40 pop.

What makeup products are your go-tos?: Well when my friends use me as their mannequin and put makeup on me just because they’re bored, I always tell them to include highlighter because I like how shiny it looks haha.

Mutuals as fave bands? 🤔

Alright, so you sent this to a gal who has a BIG appreciation for classic rock bands (mainly because my parents were huge stoners when they were younger and it was all they ever played as I was growing up) so not only am I gonna struggle with choosing any bands that aren’t classic rock... ok or pop punk, but MAKING ME NARROW THEM DOWN AND CHOOSE A MUTUAL I LOVE V MUCH FOR IT TO GO WITH AND WHY IS JUST PLAIN MEAN. I absolutely adore all of my mutuals, but here are some I was easily able to choose a band for, and in no particular order. (I tried ok and I'll attempt to spice it up with the bands)

Eagles; A band I can listen to and be completely unfazed by just how much I listen to them (which is a lot). There is a certain easygoing vibe that surrounds their music that you can easily get lost in, and it’s honestly the best feeling. So I’m giving them to my bug @smokeinherperfume. As someone I've very often freaked out with over music (we still gotta make our Spotify playlist of songs we think Harry should cover), Nora just get’s it. She has a similar easy going, laid back vibe about her in the best possible way, and is one of the best people to talk to about literally anything. She’s very mellow and calming, just like Eagles sound and she’s just pretty freaking great in all aspects. A song for her would be Hotel California.

Fleetwood Mac; One of my all time favourites ever. Some of my fondest memories include my dad blaring them when I was a kid at the most random of times and that’s always just stuck with me. Whether it be during a car ride, or in the kitchen as he attempted to get me and my brother ready for the day when all we wanted to do was dance around to the music, I’ve always associated Fleetwood Mac’s music as this source of happiness and positiveness even in the darkest of times, and for that I'm gonna have to say they’re my love, @always-jackedup. Sarah is that feeling of happiness and positiveness combined into a person. Coldplay; For any of you that know me really well, you know how I hold Coldplay very near and dear to my heart. You're lying if you say Chris Martin isn't a man who can work literal magic, ok? Don’t fight me on this. There’s just something I feel when listening to this band that is so inexplicably amazing, and I know Coldplay isn’t a band for everyone... but they’re a band that’s always been there. I can be in any mood and there’s always a Coldplay song I can connect with that in some way makes me feel better. I mean, there’s a reason I have one of their song titles tattooed onto my arm, alright. So this one is going to my bby @theasstour. One of the most easy going people I know, but also one who has that fun and calming vibe to them that isn't meant to be taken seriously. For that, I think Nora fits Coldplay perfectly. She’s someone who can effortlessly brighten up anyones day and is just all around amazing. Her song is Charlie Brown.

Blink-182; Woo boy, where do I even start with them. Legen freaking dary that’s for damn sure. Blink is fun, upbeat and just one of those bands I always want to be able to listen to despite them reminding me greatly of my awkward teenage angst faze even though they were popular when I was definitely not a teenager. If I'm able to DJ during a car ride or a party, you best believe I'm throwing on some Blink because I forever get an amped up mood from them and it’s just the best. They’re timeless and for that, I'm gonna say the amazing @writingsfromlee​ is a good choice from them. Lee is one of the funnest, sweetest, hilarious people I have met with her amazing clap-backs, genuine excitement, and just all around greatness. She get’s excited with me over the little things, but a lot of the time those small things seem to have huge impacts and she helps me realize that and just how significant they are. Her song is First Date.

Portugal. The Man; A very underrated band in my opinion. They’re different, unique and have this distinctive sound that is so appealing and so easy to listen to. I can listen to Portugal. The Man for hours on end because it doesn't sound like I'm listening to the same thing over and over again. They spice things up and do it so well, I can only see them to fit my babe @foreverhlessed​. Heli is someone who's picture will show up under the definition of unique. She's always doing her own thing, and always looks fantastic while doing it. Someone who definitely stands out of the crowd in the best way. Her song is Modern Jesus.

Led Zeppelin; Hands down, another all time favourite. Another band that I also hold very near and dear to my heart, and just so happen to be getting a tattoo for as well (lmaoooo). This band was my parents band and just happened to get passed down to me. One of Zeppelin’s songs was their wedding song, and lyrics from that same song are engraved onto my mom’s grave. (THIS ISN’T MEANT TO MAKE ANYONE SAD PLS BARE WITH ME) It’s easy to say this band was very significant to them, and it has also become the same for me. I listen to Zeppelin when I need to mellow out. I don't know why but listening to them calms me down, and just allows me to chill tf out (yes I'm usually baked when I listen to them on repeat but whatever, leave me alone). But for them, I’m gonna say the lovely @harryonstage​. AJ is literally one of the coolest people I have ever met. An extraordinary being she is and just so happens to give off the same chill vibe I get by listening to this band. Also being the woman who wrote my soulmate Plugrry, how could I not give her my favourite band to listen to when I'm stoned as hell? Her song is D’yer Mak’er.

Queen; I can pretty well guarantee you already know who’s getting this one. It’s nearly impossible to listen to Queen and not want to belt out every freaking word. Queen is fun, upbeat, timeless, and just so amazingly iconic there are just no words. The person who embodies Queen perfectly to me is @isitstraightvodka​. Liv gives off the same positive feeling, light and fun that Freddie, Brian, Roger and John put into every song. I’m always put in a good when I’m listening to them, and it’s the exact same thing that happens whenever I talk to Liv. Her song is Somebody To Love.

One Direction; I couldn’t not put them ok. We all know and love One Direction in this house, there’s no doubt about that. I love the boys solo more than anything, but I'd be lying if One Direction’s music wasn't something I used to and still listen to on pretty well a daily basis. One Direction was my favourite band all through high school (aka the worst years of my life) and although I wasn’t entirely invested in the fandom then, I'd be lying if I said they didn't mean a lot to me. The lucky person getting them is none other than @trulymadlysydney​. Syd is truly someone who lights up my world like nobody else (hehe) and no I’m not just saying that. One of the nicest, and funniest people I’ve ever met and one of my favourite Scorpio’s ever (it’s literally her and one other). y’all i had hashbrowns for breakfast and it was amazinggg 😋 so turns out i didn’t have to stay after school on friday to finish my test cuz WE GOT EXTRA TIME IN CLASS SMH. Gym was um awkward cuz my group dressed as cowboys and um yeah 😂🤠 LA on course my class pissed off my teacher again which meant more hw 🙄 Science was as usual boring and i fell asleep again lol 😂 She gave us this dumb review sheet that’s going in for marks i think ughh. when i got home from school i had a whole plan to get my life together but i got lazy and napped lmaoo. i ended up finshing my la on my way to mac registration. omg registration was actually pretty chill and the lady was super nice. hehe she was shooketh at how high my grades were which made me berry very happpyyy :)) after registration i went home and me and my father walked to get the mail. omg my dad slipped so much i thought he was gonna face plant in all the melted snow puddles. lol i would’ve laughed. jkjk i would’ve laughed but also been concerned. anyways, my learner’s id came in!! holy ahit tho i look fudging bad in it yikes. anyways i got home procrastinated for a good 2 hours before starting my science at like 9 whoops. i kinda sorta gave up halfway through so ill figure that out tomorrow morning i guess haha. i also gave up memorizing my french so that should be fun tomorrow 🤔

okay, well today was fine overall. Up at 8:45 for court, I was a little concerned about juggling two cases in two courtrooms both set for 9 am, because I was stupid enough to put myself in that position, but things ended up working out, though in the opposite direction that I thought- I thought I could get the just me case done quickly and then go to the one with other parties present, but that one ended up pretty close to the front of the court call, so I told the coordinator at the other room to just stick me in a breakout room and I’d let them know when I’m good to go, so that worked out. I have multiple cases right now (one this morning and one I have up tomorrow) where the other side is filing a domestic relations (divorce, custody, etc.) case, which means the OP case gets consolidated with it, and I can no longer be their lawyer, and it’s been super fucking frustrating because apparently divorces are on the rise right now (can’t imagine why!!) and trying to find clients other legal aid counsel is getting increasingly difficult. the one I have up tomorrow I really did not want to lose (I’ll spare you the details, but it involves a young child and it’s BAD) and I had expressed as much to my boss, and it sounded like our family law department could jump on the case, which would mean I could probably stay on for the OP part of the case, so I sent the client an intake to fill out, but when I passed it on they basically just told me they weren’t taking anything and I just forwarded it to my boss like.....and she was confused about it because apparently they had spoken about keeping some cases going that were extreme, so she’s going to talk to them about it and see if we can work it out, but in the meantime the client should start looking for other potential divorce counsel (from legal aid, as she has no income and is living in a shelter right now), and since the cases are getting consolidated tomorrow it means I have to officially withdraw from the case, and I’m really just fucking mad about it, you guys know how I get revved up with cases involving kids and even though I haven’t been on it very long (probably about a month at this point) I feel very protective of the client being such a vulnerable position and assured her that I may have to tell the court I’m withdrawing, but I will not stop being her lawyer until we get another lawyer on the case, or our family law department is able to accept it. I’m just really irritated about the whole thing because this is not the first time it’s happened with a client I felt really attached to, and just having to give up the case without there being anything I can do about it is really fucking frustrating. And the client is super sweet and speaks some english, but when exchanging emails I’ve been putting them through google translate (she speaks “Amharic”) with the translated version on top and the english underneath it, and that usually helpful enough for her to be able to answer in english. It’s kind of fun, because they don’t use the same numerals we do, so it’s just totally different. but yeah, I have that going on tomorrow and I’m super pissed about it and just feel really bad because the last thing I want to do is to leave this poor woman with no lawyer in such a vulnerable situation and I’m totally committed to making sure that does not happen, even if some of that is not part of a traditional attorney role (as if I give a fuck). but anyway. that case today was fine and short, they’re going to file the DR case soon and hopefully find that client a DR lawyer too. ugh. then there was my other case with the judge who really likes me (hehe) but she’s caught up in this one thing she wants me to do to go to publication that isn’t normal so we got stuck up with that this morning which was frustrating but like I get it, she’s a new judge and I can’t expect her to memorize the entire statute right off the bat, and her intentions are good at least as far as wanting a default order to be enforced and not ignored because of lack of service (though I spoke with my boss after and it didn’t sound like this would even help that. so I have to figure out what to do there. after court I worked on the leftover clinic cases from yesterday, getting everything ready to be filed. Apparently the courthouse is in a somewhat chaotic situation because apparently one of the judges tested positive for covid, and possibly other staff members who worked in screening (meaning they see a LOT of people) as well, so like half of the staff is in quarantine and not at the courthouse, so I understand it’s pretty chaotic there at the moment. my own case did get processed pretty quickly though, it was a pretty strong case so I wasn’t really worried, and the hearing went fine, though at the end the judge asked if we could go back to using the short forms we switched over like last year to the updated ones that everyone else was also supposed to switch over to but hasn’t yet, and I had to awkwardly be like uhh that’s really not something I have any control of but she could speak with my boss I guess? I was running right into a staff meeting that started a few minutes before we finished up, and I did mention the judge’s comment, and apparently since we have a new clerk of court in cook county she’s apparently been pushing to use the new forms when the old clerk was pretty against doing so, so I think the new one is ruffling some feathers about it, but oh well. staff meeting was fine, once we finished I stayed on the line with my boss for our monthly check in which is kind of new and we had to reschedule like 5 times haha. the introductory stuff was kind of awkward and just some stuff that I feel like I didn’t entirely grasp but I think the jist of it is mostly just to ask for clarification if unsure of some things. but after that we spoke about case questions I had, which ended up being really helpful on a lot of cases going forward, so I was glad we had that taken care of. the rest of the afternoon was chill, at some point I was looking at fb and saw that the family that lives in the apartment below me, the dad had posted that his wife was pregnant with their fourth child, and she had gone into labor this morning two months early, and they lost the baby 2 hours after she was born. Obviously this is such a shock and trauma, and the dad had been one of the first people to reach out after I lost my dad, and I really appreciated it, so I messaged him saying how sorry I was and offered to bring them a meal, so I’m going to make them some broccoli mac and cheese (apparently their kids really like broccoli for some reason) for Friday night. He was saying how hard it was to just even get through the day, and I said if I had learned anything over the past year, it’s that God is truly near to the brokenhearted, and that I would be praying for them and pass it along to my family to pray as well. He’s a religious studies of some sort professor at one of the catholic colleges up here, and we’re always liking each other’s facebook posts about religion, which is nice. after that though and when I was finished with work  I had to go over to the hospital/med center at 5:30 for two MRIs the neurologist wanted me to get (even though we’re fairly sure it’s not really a physical issue), but at 5 the monsta x airbnb thing went live for tickets but there was like 20 of them for who knows how many fans were trying to get them (like, probably in the thousands), and I refreshed the page as soon as hit 5, but when it loaded a second later it was already sold out, so I don’t even know what to make of that. Oh well. After that I ubered over to the med center and received instructions to get to the right place, which was nice that I didn’t end up getting horribly lost or anything lol. Everything was pretty straightforward, they had a list of things you have to check off, and I had to check off that I have a metal plate in my wrist after breaking that in two places and it needing to be repaired, so I listed that, but it was the only thing. Not long afterwards they brought me back to the actual machine, of course my legs were being super shaky and uncooperative trying to get on the thing and the tech was getting concerned haha and I felt bad but oh well. the procedure was fine, just chilled out and tried to stay still, which I was able to do for the most part. after that I was free to leave, so I ubered back home at like 6:20, with our first small group meeting starting at 6:45, I was concerned I was going to be late if the doctors took too long, so I was glad I made it on time. It was a pretty good session, lots of laughs which was nice but also some very deep talk, going in I wasn’t totally sure if I would like it, but I actually do really like it so I’m excited to continue with that. the group is actually called “Swipe right for Jesus” which I really just think is too funny lol. after the group ended, I watched last week’s episode of Chicago Fire that I had missed as they didn’t have a new episode today, then watched the season premiere of The Resident, which was very enjoyable. once that was done I just switched over to the news for a bit and then Jimmy Kimmel, and decided to turn it off around 11 and start getting ready for bed, and now it’s of course just past 1:30 am because time doesn’t actually exist, but I do really need to get to sleep now, so I’m going to do that. perhaps the scariest gang leader in seoul…...not because he’s particularly physically intimidating (that’s taekwoon and wonshik’s job) …. but because he knows EVERYTHING about EVERYONE and knows exactly how to use it to his advantage

not that he couldn’t completely obliterate someone physically….. he practices martial arts and his years of dancing as a teenager have made him very, very, very strong under his lean exterior

once a new member of the gang challenged him (before he realized it was cha hakyeon he was challenging) and hakyeon had him pinned to the floor within 30 seconds and no one has questioned his physical prowess since

has such a commanding presence that even though he isn’t as tall as some of the other gang higher ups you immediately know he’s the #1

despite being so infamous he’s very good at flying under the radar…….he’s never the one getting his hands dirty after all, that’s not what the leader does. instead he makes everyone else do the dirty work and sits back in his expensive apartment sipping wine

always wearing luxury suits…..has a silk robe and pyjama set that he wears to sleep…. even taekwoon who lives with him has never seen him looking anything less than flawless

has this pair of gucci sunglasses that he wears whenever he’s at the gang hq

seeing him walking around town you totally would assume he was a ceo or something, but no….he’s the most notorious criminal in the city………

has probably like. walked into the police office and filed a missing person’s report for someone he had killed…..and the police were like “wow what a kind charismatic handsome young man!!!”

basically he’s really really REALLY good at his job. and he’s proud of it…. like as a child hakyeon never thought he would end up being a gang leader but he doesn’t hurt anyone who doesn’t deserve it

anyways you don’t know any of this, but you do know cha hakyeon, because he pays you lol…… you’re work part time at a maid/cleaner service to cover your student bills and you clean hakyeon’s apartment

not that you’ve ever seen him….you have his number and he gives very specific instructions for when to come so you aren’t there when anyone is home. which sometimes is at weird times at night but as long as you’re getting paid you aren’t asking questions

and like…...you clean a lot of nice apartments but cha hakyeon’s is the nicest by FAR…..with a beautiful view of seoul and huge tvs in almost every room

plus it’s the least amount of work, because the two men living there are surprisingly neat

but despite all that ,,,,,, the place feels cold ,,,,,,, like there are almost no family photos up on the walls, especially in the master bedroom…… there are expensive paintings up on the walls and high tech kitchen equipment but there are no trinkets or anything to suggest …. well, that someone lives there

and honestly it kinda freaks you out! because the minimalism of the apartment is like…. a lil too much to deal with and you can just feel that something is up with your employer

there’s a room that you aren’t supposed to go into and it’s always locked and you wouldn’t be all that surprised if it was like. a room of dead bodies or something

little do you know you aren’t that…..far off………… but you go on with your normal calm life cleaning cha hakyeon’s apartment, never expecting that one day you would literally see ur life flash before your eyes

hakyeon had let you know that the house would be empty in the early afternoon so you show up with your cleaning gear and as you’re cleaning the kitchen you hear the front door open

this is unusual but you figure hakyeon or his roommate got home earlier than they anticipated so you just continue your work until you hear this weird noise turn around and there is this MASSIVE masked guy with a GUN in the living room (which is connected to the kitchen)

of course you freeze ……..because what the fuck..but when he spots you you know ur fucked and u try to get the hell out of there but the front door is too far……. and when you hear a gunshot you’re about 99% sure you are dead

but then u realize you felt…..nothing….. so you open your eyes and this handsome guy in an expensive suit is standing in the doorway of the locked room holding a gun

and the masked guy is DEAD

naturally you SCREAM “what the FUCK” and the handsome guy looks @ you with this steely eyed look and ur like o h h my god i’m dying today this is it

but then the cold look fades away and he coughs awkwardly as if he didn’t just MURDER someone but then he’s like “i’m hakyeon, nice to officially meet you…..i’m sorry about this mess”

you have no idea what the hell to do and are still pretty shellshocked and he can…. sort of tell ……. so casually he takes the throw off the couch and tosses it over the DEAD BODY and then approaches you carefully, taking you by the shoulders and maneuvering you to sit down

“would you like anything? water? i’m sure this is pretty alarming”

suddenly your systems all reboot and ur like “UM I WANT TO KNOW WHO THAT GUY IS AND WHY HE HAD A GUN and also who are you and why do YOU have a gun oh and yeah what the HELL is going on”

another awkward cough………….but hakyeon isn’t the type to hurt innocent civilians and his (cute) cleaner was never supposed to get roped into this…. so he figures……….. he’ll tell you as much of the truth as he’s able to and hopefully you won’t turn him into the police

he slowly explains that the man was a hitman who an “enemy” of his had hired to take him out, but he hadn’t expected him to come to the apartment otherwise he wouldn’t have let you come over…..

and he conveniently doesn’t really tell you what he does but you can sorta piece it together and ur kinda sitting there because……..

but at the same time, you trust hakyeon? something deep down in u makes u feel like he wouldn’t hurt anyone he didn’t have to. you can tell he’s dangerous but the fact that he told you the partial truth instead of murdering you sort of . intrigues you?

and hakyeon laughs for the first time since you’ve met and it’s a really nice laugh and he really is super handsome with a super nice voice and suddenly you feel yourself blushing

u end up eating a big mac by the river and hakyeon doesn’t get fast food with just anyone….. he knows as soon as he gets ketchup on his chin and you laugh at him (but wipe it off afterwards) that he’s found someone special

for almost a month the two of you go on little dates like this without ever saying it’s a date, but each time you get closer to kissing until FINALLY you’re the one that breaks and kisses him goodnight…. hakyeon’s like ;^) because he’s totally been teasing you the whole time and wanted to make you kiss him first hehe

after that u guys are “””officially””” dating but he explains to you that his line of work isn’t….great and he doesn’t want you being in danger so it’s not official official you know?

he hires a new cleaner because he feels weird about having you be his worker and you’re like “you’re not going to seduce them too are you? because i doubt they would be cool with you killing someone in front of them”

and hakyeon’s like of course not~~~ i only have eyes for you~~~ as soon as i realized you used my favorite dish soap i was hooked~~~

he not so secretly pays off some of your student loans and ur like ummm wtf take it back i’m not your sugar baby ,,,,,, and he’s like i never really paid you enough for not ratting me out to the police consider this your blackmail money

when he finally tells you what his actual occupation is ur sorta like, yeah i figured

really unnecessarily flirty in public and especially annoying so when his gang members are around ,,,,, like ken so much as breathes your way and hakyeon is like I Am Your Boss. which half pisses you off because he knows you wouldn’t cheat but half makes you very attracted to him

you make him put up pictures in his room which he wouldn’t do for anyone else but he wants to have pictures of the two of you around for when he can’t see you

you’re pretty much the only one who can beat hakyeon in a fight of any sort because as much as he pretends he isn’t and teases you for liking him so much…. he’s very whipped for you ….. 

because ever since he got into crime he figured no one would ever love him the way you love him… but you see past the illegal stuff and really care about the person he is and he would do anything to make you happy and safe

Five Teachers Walk Into A Bar...  -Chapter 4

A/N: OMG another update can I get a boo ya??? As always please and review and one more thing: I am currently on the hunt for a beta to help me edit my story and stuff like that so if you’re interested in that just message me or send me an ask. Thanks! And now on with the date!!

"Kaylee I have nothing to wear!" Nancy exclaims throwing dresses and blouses on the bed. This date was in 2 hours and she had nothing to wear, her hair looked atrocious, she couldn't find her favorite shoes, and to top it off her favorite lipstick melted in the car! And Kaylee was no help whatsoever.

Kaylee laughs, "You're stressing out way too much about this. Relax, it's just a date!"

"I haven't been on one since before May was born, I'm like a rusty sink!" May retorts.

"Oh wow yea, you should be worried."

"Kaylee you suck."

"I'm kidding!" Kaylee says walking over to Nancy. "Come on let me help you."

 They went over her closet for thirty minutes before deciding on a red, skater dress; it was breezy and casual, perfect for a picnic. Kaylee helped curl her hair into soft, effortless waves. Some mascara, a little eyeliner and red lipstick later she was ready.

"You look hot. And I'm not saying that because I'm your cousin." Kaylee comments.

"You really think so?" Nancy asks again while looking in the mirror.

"May! Can you come here?" Kaylee called out. Little May bounded down the hall to the room.

"Ya kaylee?" May asks.

"Doesn't mommy look pretty?" Kaylee asks her. May looks at Nancy and her jaw drops. Literally.

"Mommy! You look like the prettiest princess in the entire world!" She exclaims. Kaylee and Nancy chuckle and Nancy hugs May, "Thanks Mayflower."

Just then the doorbell rang and all three of them turned their heads in the direction of the door.

"AH!" Nancy yells. Kaylee and May run to the door to answer it. And there was Chris standing there in a button down and some nice jeans.

"Mr. Evans!" May exclaims, Chris smiles and waves.

"Hi May, how are you?" He asks.

"I'm great! Kaylee made me mac and cheese!"

"Yes I did." Kaylee says. It was honestly a miracle she didn't burn down the kitchen. Chris turns to Kaylee and extends his hand, "I don't believe we've met, I'm Chris."

Oh I know all about you Mr. Evans hehe. "I'm Kaylee, Nancy’s cousin. It's nice to meet you." Kaylee answers. Wow he was beefy; USDA prime beefy beefy-ness.

"Are you sure you're not a lumberjack?" Kaylee asks him. He laughs.

"Yea, pretty sure." He answers.

"Kaylee stop Harassing Chris!" Nancy shouts walking into the room.

Now Chris had heard about how time froze when you saw your soulmate for the first time and granted this wasn’t the first time he saw her, but when he saw her it was like the world stopped. The universe somehow telling him, ‘this is it. This is who you’re supposed to be with.’ And if the universe was telling him that then he probably should listen.

“You look beautiful,” he says.

She blushes, “Thanks you look pretty nice too.”

“Very nice.” Kaylee commented. Nancy groans, “I’m so sorry about her.”

Chris chuckles, “Its okay I have sisters too. Um, you ready to go?”

Nancy nods, “Yea, just give me a sec!” she turns to Kaylee and May going over house rules, babysitting instructions, what to do in case Kaylee set the stove on fire (again) and making sure to give May two big hugs and a goodbye kiss.

“If anything happens call me!” Nancy tells them.

“We got it, don’t burn the house down! Now go on your date!” Kaylee says slowly kicking Nancy out. They say their goodbyes and leave.

“Don’t burn the house down…?” Chris asks.

“Kaylee and our stove don’t get along.” Nancy explains.

“Ah, well she seems responsible. I’m sure nothing will happen.” Chris assures her. She smiles at him and nods.

“So, um where are we going?” she asks him.

“Its this place called Scenic Cinema. They play movies outdoors on this huge projector and its really nice for a picnic or a date.” He tells her.

“Ooh cool beans!”

“Mhmm, You’re not allergic to anything right?”

“Nope, I will eat almost anything, except bananas I hate bananas.”

“What?! What did bananas ever do to you?”

“They taste terrible! And the shape? I mean come on you can’t take anyone seriously eating a banana.”

“You just have a dirty mind.”

“Maybe, but I still hate bananas.”

“Well, you’ll be happy to know that there are no bananas in this picnic basket.” He informs her. She giggles, “Good or I would’ve gotten out of the car.”

They drove to the outdoor theater and parked. It was a wonderful, sunny day perfect for picnic and a movie. They found a perfect spot near a tree and enjoyed the show…

“That ending was terrible! Why would they kill her?” Nancy exclaims.

“Because they had to, she was the accomplice!” Chris argues.

“No, they could’ve kept her for information, now they have nothing and have to find the thief on their own with some stupid evidence.” She retorts. They had just finished the movie and there were some mixed review about it. She hated it, he liked it, and discussion ensued.

“Well yea but the letters had some clues they could use.”

“And the woman who was his accomplice for five years didn’t?” she retorts.

“Okay, you got me there.” He agrees. They were walking around the town center that was surrounded by little shops, and restaurants and bakeries making it feel cozy and cute and perfect for an after movie walk and talk. “So, what do you do?” he asks.

“Oh! I’m an editor for the LA Times.” She tells him.

“Wow, that’s really cool! Is there a section in particular you run?”

“The Op-Ed section. Its pretty neat, kind of tiring at times.” She says.

“How so?” he asks.

“Well a lot of our pieces need to be proofread a bunch of times and sometimes people email us asking why we didn’t put their piece in the paper and guess who gets to deal with that.” She says pointing at herself.

“Ouch, yea that must suck.” He says.

“Yea but I love it, everyone has a story or something to say and I think we should hear it." She says. He smiles, "That's a nice way of looking at the world."

She blushes, god she hadn't felt like this in a long time. What was that feeling called? The feeling of blushing for all the good reasons, the feeling of good butterflies; was there a term for that feeling? Because she was certainly feeling it right now.

They kept walking and talking. It got cooler and eventually he gave her his jacket like a true gentleman.

"Ooh, a bookstore! I haven't seen this here it must be new!" She says excitedly. Nancy calm down, don't let your nerd show.

"Wanna go in?" He asks. She looks at him and grins and runs in a little too fast. He smiles and follows behind her, happy to be along for the ride.

It had been 20 minutes since Chris saw Nancy and he was hoping she didn’t run off. He thought the date was going well, great even.

“Nancy?” he called out wandering the aisles of the bookstore.

“Yea?” a voice calls out. He runs in the direction of the voice and finds her behind a stack of books. She peeks out from behind the stack, “Ready to go?”

“Are you buying all those?” he asks.

“Yea of course, you’re only getting two books?” she asks him.

        “Um, yes?”

        “Okay,” she says and walks over to the cashier to purchase her books. “They’re not all for me, some are for May and one is for Kaylee.”

        “I wish I could read as many books as that.” He says.

    ��   “Well trust me I wasn’t always like this.”

        “What changed?” he asks her. She was quiet for a moment then said, “When I was, thirteen my dad died.”

        “I’m so sorry,” he says.

        “Its okay, books were kind of my escape from reality. It really helped with the grief and depression and stuff.” She explains.

        “Wow,” he says.

        “Not exactly first date material.”

        “No no it’s okay, it’s great.” Awkward. “Um, will you recommend some books for me?” he asks. She looks at him and a huge grin breaks out on her face. She takes his hand and they go down the aisles of the bookstore looking for all the books she loved as a thirteen year old and beyond. By the end of the hour he had a stack as big as hers. They walked back to the car with two big bags of books and holding hands.

        “This was really nice. I had a lot of fun.” She says. They were at her doorstep now enjoying the last few minutes of the perfect night.

        “I’m glad you had fun because I had fun too.” He replies.

She smiles, “You know the only way you’re going to get this jacket back is if you take me on another date.”

        He laughs hard, “Okay, I’ll do you one better.”

        “And what would that be Mr. Evans?”

        He comes closer, “Its Chris,”

        “Oh sorry what would that be Chris?” she asks coming closer till they were a breath apart.

        He smirks and whispers, “I’ll give you a second date and a kiss.”

        She giggles, “What was stopping you from kissing me before?” He smiles, cups her cheek, and they both lean in and kiss. It was soft, slow and sweet. His hand travelled up her back sending a shiver down her spine. He smiles against her lips and pulls her closer, her hands wrap around his neck. It was perfect. A perfect end to a perfect date with the perfect guy.
