House Plants: Lucky Bamboo
Bamboo is flexible, bending with the wind but never breaking, capable of adapting to any circumstance. It suggests resilience, meaning that we have the ability to bounce back even from the most difficult times.

The tank went unmanaged for nearly a month while I helped my parents clean and organize their house, and interesting things happened. I’d put some pothos clipping in to propagate, but they were only hanging onto the rim by their leaves, which died. The stems fell into the tank and I forgot about them, thinking they’d been gobbled up. I found them under a patch of Java moss and subswassertang, having both sprouted.
One of the dracaena (lucky bamboo) had died at the base, but was putting out new roots that I trimmed before realizing it had separated from the pot. I took it out of the tank entirely because a whole new shoot of dracaena is coming up elsewhere around the pot.
Lastly, a little less than a week ago, I put a whole old carrot in the tank, just to see what would happen. The tops grew a little and, again, I forgot about it. Today I thought it look grey and moldy, so I pulled it out. Turned out it had been completely hollowed out and the grey hue was, in fact, a mass of snail in and under it. I wish I’d gotten that first picture. Snails positively poured out of it. This is only a quarter of the original number of snails.

Bamboo: Unveiling the Symbolism and Significance of Lucky Plant
https://unlimitedgreens.com/products/lucky-bamboo-2-layer
For centuries, cultures around the world have revered the bamboo plant not only for its practical uses but also for its symbolism of luck, prosperity, and resilience. Delving into the rich tapestry of folklore and tradition, we uncover the reasons why bamboo holds such a prominent place in the realm of luck and superstition.
First and foremost, bamboo's remarkable resilience in the face of adversity serves as a powerful metaphor for overcoming obstacles and thriving in challenging environments. Its ability to bend but not break in the strongest of winds has led many to view bamboo as a symbol of flexibility, adaptability, and perseverance.
Moreover, bamboo's rapid growth and prolific spread have earned it a reputation as a harbinger of abundance and prosperity. In Asian cultures, in particular, the association between bamboo and good fortune runs deep, with the plant often depicted in auspicious settings such as gardens, homes, and artwork.
In Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of harmonizing individuals with their surroundings, bamboo is believed to attract positive energy, known as "chi," into the home or workplace. Its tall, straight stalks symbolize upward growth and progress, while its hollow interior represents an open channel for the flow of energy and opportunity.
Furthermore, bamboo's evergreen foliage and lush green hue are emblematic of vitality, renewal, and regeneration, making it a potent symbol of health and longevity in many cultures.
Beyond its symbolic significance, bamboo's practical benefits also contribute to its association with luck and prosperity. As a fast-growing and highly sustainable resource, bamboo embodies the principles of abundance and resourcefulness, aligning perfectly with the ethos of prosperity and wealth.
In conclusion, the bamboo plant's status as a symbol of luck and prosperity transcends cultural boundaries and resonates with people around the world. Whether admired for its resilience, revered for its symbolism, or valued for its practical benefits, bamboo continues to enchant and inspire us, serving as a timeless emblem of good fortune and prosperity.

It's like if moveobjectson worked on surfaces lol
All my current plants sequestered in my Kitchen for a photoshoot. I was cleaning and rearranging their other homes in the house.
The little ones I've been working on cloning for my wedding in August to use in my centerpieces and that people can also take as wedding favors.
The Swedish Ivy clippings and the Green Spider Plant sprouts took root in water before I planted them.
The Lucky Bamboo and the Boston Fern I had to divide at the roots.

My new Lucky Bamboo plant I got on sale at Lowes. Man was he in rough shape! I trimmed him up because he was drying out from lack of watering. They also had him confined to a pot with no drainage hole and gravel glued to the top. I hate when they do that. My husband took a hammer to the pot and gravel and freed him from his prison. He was bone dry inside. I repotted him and now he looks so cute!

Now that the tube light is going again, I’ve got some new clippings in and I’ve put back the cactus that didn’t love the move to my window. I also put my “bonsai” ficus ginseng up and I’m going to try to actually bonsai-fy it (5 years later oops). I put the trimmings from it in the filter. In my experience they don’t take well, but I do have a very little trimming of a ficus benjamina on the left that’s rooted so well into my tank substrate that I….can’t take it out. Oops again.
