— monkey d luffy is an affectionate person. he's always having some form of contact and doesn't seem to understand the difference between love and like. he treats both the same, well, that was until you had met him.

— after you two met, he noticed how he felt different towards you then towards nami or zoro. he wanted to be close to you all the time, he wanted to have some form of contact. he's a show not tell type of guy, showing his love through physical contact.

you sat down on the dock, Luffy staring at you over his captain's quarters window, he was mesmerised by you, by the way you looked, your personality and heart of gold. He couldn't help but smile as he looked at you. It was a habit of his, he always found himself smiling around you.

You turned around, finding him smiling at you as you smiled back. Butterflies roamed his stomach as he waved at you as you waved back, turning back to whatever duties you had been accomplishing before the boy smiled at you. He turned back to his novels, continuing his stories as he wrote down his adventures. Adventures he wanted to share with you for the rest of his life.

Luffy sat down on your bed as you walked around your room, moving your hands around aggressively as he focused on every word that came out of your mouth. It didn't matter what had exited, as long as it came from your beautiful lips, it didn't matter.

"And yeah! I'm not the best cook but Sanji should shove his spoon out of his asshole!" You yelled as Luffy nodded, he was to focused on you, the way you moved, the way you looked into his eyes. "What?"

"I think you look gorgeous." Luffy shrugged as your stiff shoulders softened. You smiled as Luffy stood up, kissing your cheek. The blood rushing through your ears as you blushed at the sudden movement.

Luffy smiled as he held your hand, you were cleaning the deck as Luffy walked towards you, placing his hand on your hand that held onto the broom. "Luffy, I need to clean." You sighed as the boy nodded, he hugged you from behind as he swayed his hips in rhythm with yours.

You smiled as you dropped the broom, holding his hands, the ecstatic feeling flowing through both your bodies. He smiled as he held your other arm, wrapping them around your waist as he spun you around, swaying his hips as the Baratie music played softly. "I love you Y/n."

"I love you more."

warnings: none, just some fluff!

a/n: I won't be writing as often becusde I'm writing my final rn, also this is short because i have a hard time imagining luffy being romantic so... enjoy!

now, it doesn't matter how obviously and hopelessly in love you are with Luffy, he's just not going to see it.

he doesn't see you make starry eyes at him, because his eyes are just as starry on a regular basis. when he catches you admiring him, he just assumes that you zoned out. (because he does that alot too)

so when he finds an incredibly detailed sketch of himself laying around on the ship, he excitedly goes from crew member to crew member, asking who drew it.

when he gets to you, notebook and pencil in hand drawing yet another portrait of him, you hang your head in mortification as he marvels at your work.

so imagine his suprise when he snatches that notebook our of your hands with a quickness to see what else you've steched in there, only to find himself on every. single. page.

I swear that his excited screaming is enough to alert other ships at sea of your exact location, but he can't help it, every drawing you've done deserves a reaction that fits how well you did it.

after he finds out about your habit, he starts striking poses for you and holding them right until your last pencil stroke on paper (or until he gets bored/hungry lol)

one night, you get a frantic knock on your door followed by Luffy's muffled voice yelling "are you still awake? I wanna show you something." so you open the door and he shoves a crumpled piece of paper right in your face.

you back up just a little bit and adjust your eyes, and you see a drawing of... some sort of animal? oh, wait nevermind, it's of you.

it's not the most artistically or anatomically sound drawing you've laid your eyes on, but it's... surprisingly detailed. he's drawn on pretty much every single visible scar, mole, freckle and mark, even some that you didn't know you had.

when you question how he managed to be so accurate, he tilts his head, pursing his lips and farrowing his brows in thought before answering. "Well, it wasn't on purpose, but I always look at you when you're around me. you catch my attention, kinda like food does!"

pause.

did Monkey D. Luffy, the strawhat captain, mister gum gum himself, just compare you to food...? moment of silence, because this is so much bigger than all of us.

after hearing this revelation, you cave and plant a quick kiss on his cheek as a thank you (and as a means to let him know of your more than platonic feelings for him), slamming the door in his face before he even has the chance to react.

p.s. Luffy doesn't have any idea why you kissed his cheek, but he knows that it made him feel good, and he wants to get one from you again.

No because luffy would try his best to calm you down if you’re having a panic or anxiety attack. He would try to sit with you until it’s over, he’s very fidgety though. He will get your comfort blanket or stuffed animal if you have one. He would ask sanji for a glass of water and snacks if you’d like that. If you like having cool air on you he would fan you with one of nami’s pretty fans. (He would later get scolded for taking it without permission though) he would also make you hold an ice cube to try keeping your grounded.

If you’re really feeling down he will offer to share his food with you, you should take this offer. It’s once in a life time tbh. Afterwards he would offer to take you to sit in his spot on top of Merry’s head. Once you’ve calmed down he’s there to listen if you want to talk about what overwhelmed you. If you don’t want to talk about him he will cheer you up with silly faces, which Ussop ofc joins in. He always tries to keep an eye on you when he isn’t completely occupied.

Iñaki Godoy is the type of person you can't dislike.
