Can’t remember whether I’ve posted this before elsewhere beyond the discord. But this is one of the only times I ever got digital art to work for me. Years old character design of Aunt Jacqueline from the New Albion series of musicals. The voodoopunks were always very fascinating to me, especially when they’re being led by a kickass lesbian revolutionary. Shoutout to Paul Shapera for making such cool characters.

Work in progress is still progress! Was researching ancient mesopotamian deities on wikipedia out of curiousity and got inspired while researching Inanna-Ishtar.

First time ever drawing a lion and really proud of how it’s coming so far. There will never be a day that I don’t recommend using visual reference.

Jessali Maebeskiin is a hobgoblin eldritch knight fighter. What she lacks in social skills she makes up for in chivalry. Overall sweetheart. If I had to be taken by one of my ocs as a prisoner of war, she’s definitely the one I’d prefer to be doing it.

I’m a Virgo, both sun and moon. My primal zodiac is a Polar bear. 

I have ADHD, as well as anxiety and depression(luckily I’m able to be medicated for all that otherwise I’d be an even bigger mess) 

LGBTQIA+ and while I don’t particularly like sticking myself in labeled boxes when it comes to such matters, pan works if such assignments help you. I generally fall under the camp of “people can be really cute and really nice and if i get a crush on some of those people so be it”.

> What materials do you use right now?

When inking, I currently like to use a Tachikawa dip pen equipped with a good G-nib and watercolor black ink. It’s messy and tedious at times but the line control is worth the exercise in patience. If I’m not trying to be fancy though, I’ll use your standard ball-points and felt tips.

When water-coloring, I currently use a 16-color Prang pan set for my pigments and your standard cold press watercolor paper.

A timed thirty minute attempt at a practice i havent done since elementary school. Heres a still life of my catastrophic desk.

Was so incredibly insightful getting to see and directly compare what was right or wrong in my drawing off of the source material. The subtlety of how perspective / eyelevel shifts the shape of otherwise simple forms like a cylinder was interesting and will definitely require further study.

Will likely do a series of these practices to build up my still life skills once more.
