If in the modern world, Draupadi could only marry one Pandav, who would she marry?
Option one: Yudhisthir. No actual chemistry between them, he's just the eldest brother.
Option two: Bheem. Amazing chemistry. Take care of each other. Shared interests as both love to cook. Makes more sense than arjun as he's older and should get married first.
Option three: Arjun. Might be the most loved ship and good chemistry too but then there would be no place for Subhadra, who I'm planning to make Arjun's girlfriend in my au. Imo arjun is much more playful, teasing and overall more loving (I hope I'm wording this right) towards Subhadra.

Krishna x Arjunā breakup au...🥺😭
War au
Bg info: Draupadi had married the four brothers of Arjunaa
Krishna and Arjunaa were, a pair of lovers. Not yet married.
Krishna is still on the side of Pandavas
"Arju." Yudhishthir called out to his sister. "Can you get the two scrolls about our formations from my tent?"
"Of course, Jyesht." Said Arjunaa, and she walked out of the common tent.
When Arjunaa got there, she found the scrolls of their formations on the table...but there was another scroll with the...seal of the KURUS!? Arjunaa tensed and rushed towards the common tent, with all the scrolls.
She barged in loudly. "JYESHT! WHY DO YOU HAVE A SCROLL OF THE KURUS?" She exclaimed while holding up the Kuru scroll in her left hand. Everyone either gasped or looked in confusion. Yudhishthir got up from his seat and took the Kuru scroll. "I..i don't know about this. I swear i only had our two scrolls in my tent!" Yudhishthir answered.
The others now HAD to believe Dharmaraj because, he had never lied in his entire lifetime.
A few of the others crowded around to see. Krishna stuck his tongue in his cheek. He glanced at Arjunaa, who was still standing at the entrance. Their eyes met. Krishna swallowed. He knew what this meant, and what would happen now.
"Oh ho! I see you have gotten winds of our plans already.." Arjunaa felt creeped as she heard a voice behind her and she turned around and jumped backwards, unsheathing her dagger in reflex. Everyone stared in shock, except Krishna, who narrowed his eyes at the short, disgusting man.
Shakuni strode into the room. "How marvellous, Samrat." He addressed Yudhishthir. "We were looking for the scroll on which we had mapped out our upcoming military plans." He snatched it out of Virat’s hand, nearly giving the king a paper cut. "I'll have that, thank you."
"Gandhar Raj, what were your papers doing in my tent?" said Yudhishthir, bewildered.
Shakuni clutched his chest in faux-shock. "I should be asking you that! First you steal from us and then question us back?"
"We did no such thing!" snapped Dhrishtadyumna. "Rajkumari Arjunaa went to get our plans from the Samrat's room and found this kept there!"
Shakuni cackled. "What a believable story, General! Please do better!"
Virat came over. "Listen, Gandhar Raj. You have my word for it, we truly have not stolen anything from your camp. Stealing from the enemy camp is adharma and we could and we would never do that."
"Oh, I know it's adharma all too well." he snapped, stroking his beard and eyeing Virat in a rather maddening way. Arjunaa looked from him to Krishna to Yudhishthir and back to him. What even was happening?
"Samrat Yudhishthir never lies or cheats!" continued Virat. "You have his word as well!"
"Aah! Yes! The same man who accused me of attempted murder on them, especially his sister, and betted on and got his said sister disrobed...!" Shakuni grinned like a maniac. Loud gasps were heard. Arjunaa boiled in anger and clenched her fists, while Draupadi held her shoulders as if saying to calm down.
"Don't dare mention dharma when you have the aid of this man." He pointed at Krishna, who was still looking at him strangely. "People accuse me of cheating but if there is a more treacherous person than I...it is him!"
"We are telling you we!-" Krishna interrupted. "Tell me, Gandhar Raj. Where did you last see your plan scroll?"
Shakuni hesitated. "Well…I remember seeing it yesterday evening in my room. We were busy with war and cremating our warriors, hence didn’t pay our documents any mind. A few hours ago, when I went to retrieve it, it was gone!"
“Interesting." Said Krishna, placing his hands on his hips. "And what made you suspect us?"
"Intuition, Vasudev! Intuition!" He snapped his fingers. "My intuitions are rarely incorrect!" Said Shakuni as he eyed both Arjunaa and Krishna. He had heard that they were a couple without being married and he WAS going to use it to blackmail them.
"Also...Rajkumari...! I have heard about you and this cowherd being...together even though he has two wives already! How would devi Rukmini and devi Satyabhama react to...this information..?"
Arjunaa startled up. What was he on about?- "and how would the whole of Aryavarta react if they found out that Gandivdhari is having an affair with the Dwarkadheesh behind everyone's backs...eh?" Arjunaa gazed in shock, while Krishna stood still, monotonous.
"Everyone would be devastated and feeling betrayed.. about their favourite persons' doings and them committing adharma in war aswell... i take my leave now. Pranipat." Shakuni limped away, smirking like the maniac he is.
Krishna stared at his Parthavi. He had to do this now, or else...both of them would always be targeted, by the Kurus due to their on-going affair. Arjunaa inhaled and exhaled deeply, as she went towards her tent, without saying a word. She knew that Rukmini Jiji and Satyabhama Jiji would accept her without a word, but what about the world? The people? They wouldn't...at all...
Krishna wanted to scream and behead Shakuni right then and there with his Sudarshan, but this was required. Required to win the war, and for that...
it was required to...break...his Parthavi.
As everyone went to their respective room after cooling their heads down, Krishna went into Arjunaa's tent.
"Madhav? What are you doing here?" Arjunaa got up from her sitting position, from the edge of the bed.
"I have come to talk about something important..." The accusation and blackmailing still had Arjunaa nervous, and this gave her a bad feeling. "A-about today's incident..?"
"No. About...us."
"About....us..? What is it about us-?"
"We need to stop our on-going affair."
Krishna stared at Arjunaa silently, who had slumped down on the bed once again, but in utter disbelief, shock and melancholy. Tears had rimmed her eyes, that were shaped like a swan's, not even a moment after. But they refused to fall.
"We n-need to s-separate..?"
"Well, yes...but i will still drive your chariot and help you in war. But...we can't be together...like that...anymore...." Arjunaa's naturally big eyes now widened even more, as the tears that refused to fall before, did fall after his statement, as she clenched her teeth and gripped the edge of the bed with both her hands tightly.
Krishna's heart clenched tightly. Oh how he wanted to take this all back and wipe her tears, and hug her close and kiss her to sleep. But alas! That wouldn't be possible now. He couldn't bear the sight in front of him. Oh how he cursed himself for being the God of the Universe now..
Krishna then took his leave, and as soon as he left, Arjunaa got up too and looked at her now- tear strained face in the body length mirror. She stared angrily and sadly at her own face as she punched the mirror hard.
The big shards of the mirror got in her delicate skin and her fist, and they started bleeding heavily. But the Rajkumari didn't care. More and more tears cascaded down her beautiful face as she finally broke the mirror completely and slid down on the floor.
Drops of both blood and tears dripped down, as the young girl kept crying her heart out.
Unbeknownst to her, her Madhav was still standing outside her tent, and as he heard her heartbreaking sobs, he couldn't take it anymore and he broke into his own tears.
Oh how even the gods were upset at the separation of the lovers and their heartbreaking states.
Krishna had to get control over his mind and heart, like he always had to, unfortunately. He didn't want to..yet he had to...
Arjunaa had fainted on the floor due to blood loss and crying, as her body wanted to give up on life. The only one who she had loved and belived in in her whole lifetime till now had separated from her, what did she have now?
As she fainted, her mind and heart refused to accept this and still, like her body always did when she missed her Madhav, resonated with his name...
"Madhav..Madhav...Madhav...Madhav...."
That night was the first time Krishna had cried so heavily in his life...as he felt her pain and her body resonating her given name for him yet again...

Modern Mahabharat AU
Yudhishthir's deadly cooking (literally)
If Bheem is the master chef of the family, then Yudhishthir is the person who can turn mangoes into deadly poison. The first time he cooks, he brings it very happily to all his brothers.. Bheem is very sceptical and rightfully so given that the food is emanating the aura of patal lok.. but Karn is the eldest whose job is to enable encourage his brothers (also he's kind of making up for his shitty actions in his past life so he's always in extra indulgent older brother mode) and Arjun is way too soft to say no. Nakul and Sahadev have hidden away and are secretly preparing life reviving potions for their brothers. By chance, Duryodhan and gang had come to hang out and well.. Duryodhan was totally on Bheem's side in that Yudhishthir's poison ahem cooking should be cast into patal lok, but Karn kicked him in the knee to be nice! And well what was he going to do? Say no to his bestie? lol
And that's the story of how all the Kuru babies except for Nakul-Sahadev and Dusshala got poisoned and ended up in the ER (dusshala went to hide with the twins and the three ended up drinking all of that life saving potion because just inhaling the fumes of their dearest brother's cooking poisoned them). Yudhishthir is very confused how this happened, but is assured by everyone under his enabler older brother's glare that his cooking had nothing to do with it. There must be something wrong with the water, oh yes! Yudhi looks so relieved and then offers to make some khichdi for everyone and Duryodhan faints on the spot.
He's certain that the only cooking Yudhishthir is doing is cooking up schemes with his dad to kill them all and not even his mitrata is going to make him do this again (that's a lie because this is just the beginning of their trips to the ER because of Yudhi's deadly cooking).

Rukmini: He has two pet cows and twenty five peacock feathers that he claims are all different shades of blue.
Karna: I hear his flute's insured for $10,000.

Sahadev: she told him he was pretty.
Sishupal: One time he punched me in the face... it was awesome.

"A catastrophic war, an unimpressive death and six millennia later, here they were, still playing the same old game."
This fic takes place in an universe where the events of Mahabharat actually happened. The modern setting is about 6000 years after the end of the war.
Both the Pandavas and Kauravas have been reborn into a prominent criminal family, together known as the "Kaushik-Pancholi" clan. They're the most notorious crime organization in the subcontinent, with influence extending well into parts of South-East Asia and the Middle-East.
Jay Pancholi is Arjun reincarnated, the most skilled hitman of the clan as well as a key member of the family. However, he's also essentially the black sheep because he doesn't approve of the brutal working of his family. Nonetheless, he's extremely loyal to them.
Kanan Yadav, Krishna reincarnated, is an undercover agent of a special task force created to disassemble this terrorist organisation from inside out. He first befriends Jay and later more important members of the family to gain information on them and the organization's activities. But somewhere along the way, his morality and allegiance is put to test when he starts developing feelings for his charge.
This fic takes place after Jay finds out Kanan's true identity and is absolutely livid with anger and heartbreak when he confronts him, violently.

Mahabharat characaters on Social Media: pt. 3
Pt. 2
Dhritarashtra
Boomer
Does not know what social media is used for
Only social media he uses is Facebook and WhatsApp
Sends 👌 and 👍 in response to everything
Old as fuck and partially blind
Thinks Duryodhan is gonna join the army since he's training so much (he won't, he just likes to have muscles and challenge bheem)
Gandhari
"A day in my life as a selectively blind person"
BLINDFOLD CHALLENGES LMFAOOOOOO
Here's ten reasons why I've never seen my children's faces
1. Judging from my husband's personality and... other things, they're probably ugly
Cutu cutu mom-daughter vlogs with dushala
Pandu
He's dead.
Don't ask me for anything he's just dead in this au that's all he is
Used to cameo on madri's channel a suspiciously large amount of time
Kunti
Wholesome cooking channel
With stories in the voiceovers
Does livestreams teaching people to cook
Internet mom for many teenagers countrywide
Randomly drops insane mom lore in the middle of cooking
"There was this one time I had to put my newborn kid up for adoption because I was 17 at the time and now he's adopted by a neighbour and also my nephew's boyfriend so if any of you know a good therapist please recommend."
Madri
Used to be on twitter only but she overshared too much and had to be making insanely long apology videos over it
Does QNAs only and people watch that just cuz she's such a problematic cunt
"Madri you said in one post that you were married but you've never mentioned your husband." "Madri you made posts about post partum depression but you never mentioned your kids."
Replies to this with a video explaining how she was having an affair with a certain influencer's husband and got pregnant with twins but then the guy died of a heart attack so she left his SINGLE MOTHER wife with two more sons
The people hate her for what she's done. She loves them for the clout they give her.
Vidur
He doesn't do social media. He does what people call "A Job".
Only on Facebook. Only there to bunk people who spread misinformation.
Also now on ao3

FOR ALL YOU MAHABHARAT FANS/ WITCH LOVERS/ ASTROLOGY BITCHES/ PEOPLE WHO FOUND THE ZODIAC ACADEMY'S ACADEMY COOL (not the characters) / MYTHOLOGY LOVERS, I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE TO YOU:
The Story of the Zodiacs!
It's a story which me my friends are working on our shared ao3 account, thetrio_writes, and I would love for you all to come and see the first chapter and give us tips and tell us what you want to see!
It's still in the making, but it's a fic I definitely plan on completing since it will be something i share with my hostages friends.
it's not much of adventure or things like that, just a lot of romance, fluff, magic, and laughter! + mythical beasts too!
it's a college setting with three main characters based on the three of au and is heavily concentrated on hindu mythology with greek, norse, egyptian, and roman mythology (the reasons the others aren't given will be explained in ch 2!)
we'll try to make it as diverse as we can while it still fits the plot!
oh, and we have polyamorous characters, aroace characters, and obviously, indian characters!
Updates will be slow for now since we're a bit busy but you can expect more after the 6th or 7th of this month!
I hope everyone who sees this at least takes a peek at it and chooses to reblog it too!

Character of the Day - Krishna
I'm gonna draw one mahabharat character everyday till I give up
All Mahabharat Character of the Day Sketches
P.S. : Krishna here is wearing what traditional Manipuri dancers wear when they portray Krishna. You are free to interpret this as art of Krishna himself or of a Manipuri dancer - as you see fit!
Why the sudden change in clothing style you ask? Well, right before I drew this, I came across a post where another Hindu mythology focused blog was being 'called out' for involving 'gods in their fantasy'. I drew this in a rage and planned to include a long rant with it. Something something all of Indian classical and nearly all South Asian folk traditions draw inspiration from religious stories and are by extension 'gods in fantasy' but drawing the details on this calmed me down so no rant for today. Anyway, this blog is a safe space for all Hindu gods in fantasy supporters, even more so if you are Asian or of Asian heritage and I'm always here and on my main (@cyndaquillt) to chat about AUs, fanfics, fanart, and more.
For folks who don't support Hindu gods in fantasy, abe aa tu askbox pe mil (no I will not translate)

How do the Kaunteys react to dead bodies?
Yudhishthir: Right at home with them. Works at a burial ground to hang out with his dad.
Bheem: Doesn't even need to chant Sundar Kaand because Hanuman Ji is literally his elder bro and will be there instantly.. so does it make any sense that he's absolutely terrified of ghosts and stuff? He WILL run away screaming.
Nakul and Sahadev: They're doctors and have been cutting open human cadavers since they were teenagers, so it's all part of the job for them.
Karn and Arjun: *faint right away on top of each other*
+ Bonus
Draupadi and Drishtadyumn: *the ones hiding behind a pillar making ghosty noises to scare Bheem*

MAHABHARAT THEATER!AU FIC
Chapter 4 is up!
Excerpt:
“We cannot just trust them like that!” Bheem protests at last. “Why not? Aren’t you all family?” Draupadi asks. “Is there some kind of internal issue I’m missing here?” Yudhisthir rubs the back of his neck. “We have had problems before. Our uncle is not particularly fond of us.” “That,” Arjun cannot help saying, “is the understatement of the millennium.” “We have an audience,” Kunti reminds them primly.
