trans rights were human rights yesterday. trans rights are human rights today. and trans rights will be human rights tomorrow.

trans women are women. trans men are men. non binary people are non binary and valid in their gender identities.

intersex people exist, and are so incredibly valid in however they wish to talk about their biological sex and present their gender identities.

pronouns deserve to be respected. (of course this doesn't give you the right to attack people for accidentally slipping up, but as long as they take your correction and retry we move on. we are all human and make mistakes. the good is in the intention, if someone's intention is to harm or erase then THAT'S transphobic.)

trans women are not predators. some trans women may be not nice people or use that to their advantage, but there are shitty people in every group of people. the nasty people are always the minority. 99.9% of trans women are just trying to survive in the world and literally just want to pee. one bad person does not make an entire group bad. so, i repeat, trans women are not predators.

the existence of trans women is not erasing the female experience. if anything, it should be enriching the female experience! women's rights are women's rights, and that includes trans women. cause trans women are women.

the lives and existence of trans people should never be placed below the mere comfort of cis people.

trans joy is real and so fucking beautiful.

cis is not a slur. just like straight is not a slur. just like white is not a slur. just like able bodied is not a slur. just like neurotypical is not a slur. it is simply a term to refer to a group of people.

What’re your favorite kh ships?

If I'm being honest... I really only true ship SoKai these days (my forever OTP). Mainly because I feel like that's the only one I can really ever see actually being canon (well, aside from Yozora and Nameless Star, and I also ship them: a lot of that for Versus XIII reasons. My heart won't let go). And, I mean, not that a ship needs to be canon for me to ship them. Not at all. But I'll admit that I've grown out of some of the KH ships a wee bit, as I've found more adult ones in other fandoms to get invested one.

That being said, the KH ships that I do still care about are:

VenAqua slightly, but I'd always choose Terra and Aqua over it (but one thing about the Wayfinder Trio for me, if I'm being truthful, is that I prefer the three of them as friends before any romance with any of them. Part of me even really thinks all three of them are truly just meant to be friends.)

A lot of people ship Ven and Strelitzia for some reason. And I doubt it'll ever happen, tbh. Who knows if they'll ever even really get a chance to meet and be friends. But I do get why they think it'd be cute.

And while I don't know if I truly ship them anymore, a part of me will always have a soft spot for Ventus and Naminé. Because for some reason, I really used to ship this crack pairing, back in the day.

I also don't really know if I ship them... but despite what I said above, I do get the feeling that Nomura might be doing something with Lauriam/Marluxia and Elrena/Larxene.

i've already said my piece on why saad is easily the most interesting "brooding mysterious boy with an artsy passion" type character degrassi has ever done, but im honestly so sad they never tried to go deeper into his relationship with maya. the way the two of them fed off of each others trauma and sorta made each other worse while engaging in this morbid coping mechanism was so interesting to watch and i kinda wish we got to see it fester more in the background, if not get the same amount of focus as a plotline like the mola romance. idk, i found their chemistry addicting and i feel cheated bc they only showed up in a handful of episodes and never interacted after season 3.

#degrassi #this isnt a shipping post i dont ship saad with maya at all #i just think their dynamic was engaging as hell #i love how this coping mechanism the two of them had (photography for saad and playing dead for maya) #warped into something sorta twisted. mainly for maya #her becoming desensitized to death and romanticizing it made her sorta disconnected to the reality of death #which came to a head when grace (someone who is actually basically dying) walks in on their photoshoot #and maya brushes her off when grace is rightfully uncomfortable #also how saads morbid interest in taking pictures of maya playing dead is #basically him trying to cope with the trauma he experienced back in syria #and how hes likely become desensitized to horrific things as well #these two traumatized kids with experiences with death coming together and bonding over it #while also feeding off of each others trauma. Just thinking about that one scene in Captain America: The First Avenger when they come back that first time and Steve brought Bucky back from Hydra, when Steve and Peggy are talking or whatever. How Bucky was smiling when Steve was looking at him, and how Bucky's smile drops immediately when Steve looks away.

He already looks so broken in that moment, from how he just looks down blankly to the look in his eyes it's so upsetting. It doesn't help that the bruises on his face are exactly where we see the machine Hydra uses on him later connect with his face.
