BRF Reading - 4th of May, 2024
This is speculation only
Cards drawn on the 4th of May, 2024
Question: Why isn't Harry wearing his coronation medal?
Interpretation: He is in a right sulk about something.
Card One: The Three of Wands in reverse
The Three of Wands is a card of initial success in your plans, having your ships come in, expansion, growth, and so in. In the reverse, that didn't happen. Your plans failed, your are restricted or limited in some way, you are not making any progress with your plans.
This is also my card for the Line of Succession and the handing down of power within the BRF, which is what the coronation was all about - a consecration of the next King.
The first energy I get from this card is sulking. Harry is in a right sulk about something and he is not letting go of it any time soon. It could be that he wasn't treated with what he thought was the proper deference at the Coronation, or he expected a bigger role and it did not happen, or even that he has yet to receive his medal (the Three of Wands as the card for the Line of Succession, in reverse, can mean no longer in the Line of Succession or no longer considered a royal, in which case he would not get a medal). I don't know what it is, but something happened in relation to the Coronation and Harry is in a huge sulk about it.
Let me draw a clarifier -
Card Two: The Page of Wands
This is the third reading in a row where I have had the Page of Wands as the second card. The other two were about Princess Catherine's new honour. Normally I would be looking at the readings to see if they were linked in some way, but I can't see how - unless Harry is refusing to wear the medal to hurt his father until Meghan is given an honour, and King Charles gave it to Princess Catherine instead? That is me speculating, not the energy from the card.
The energy from this card is, once again, using PR articles in the media to send a message (pages are messengers and Wands can be PR). The energy of this card is very passive-aggressive, so Harry is deliberately not wearing his medal to try and hurt/manipulate his father/family. It is a sulky energy as well - the same sulky energy in the first card continues here.
Card Three: The Ace of Swords
Aces are new beginnings, and swords are thoughts/communications (especially over the internet)/strategy. This is a new strategy by Harry, or something that he thinks is new, that he is doing to try and get something from his father. To me the energy is like a toddler going 'ok, screaming doesn't get me what I want, so I'll hold my breath instead' and the person doing this thinks they are very clever for thinking up this new approach. The card has the same sulky energy as the other two cards. Harry is in a right strop about something and he is acting out by not wearing his Coronation Medal (I am assuming he has one, otherwise he is in a strop about not having one).
Card Four: The Seven of Pentacles
This is the card about being rewarded for your work or gaining the harvest from your actions. This is what Harry wants. He wants to be rewarded by his father for what he sees as all his hard work, and as that is not happening he is sulking about it.
The energy is that Harry sees himself as having spent all his life working for the BRF and now that his father is King he expects to be rewarded for that hard work, and he is very upset that this is not happening.
I am wondering if Harry wanted another title or honour to be given to him at or after the Coronation and part of his sulk is because that did not happen. The 'William has a new title (Prince of Wales) so I should have one too' line of thought.
This is also my card for a divided allegiance or dodgy dealings, and both if those apply to Harry - he has done and will do some very dodgy things, and his allegiance is clearly not with his father, no matter what noises he makes about reconciling and wanting to go back to the UK etc.
Underlying Energy: The Chariot
This is the card for Cancer, and this card is full of Prince William energy (a sun sign Cancer). Harry is sulking about how Prince William was treated (what else is new) and/or blaming Prince William for whatever has his knickers in a twist (again, what else is new). Harry's energy with respect to Prince William as per this card is old and stale and turning rancid. It is a revolting energy, exactly like I feel when I have to clean out rancid food or spoilt milk.
Conclusion:
Harry is sulking about something that is connected to his father's Coronation, and as part of that sulk he is not wearing his Coronation Medal. He is doing it deliberately to hurt his father, and it is a passive-aggressive action. He is sending the message out via his PR articles whenever he wears his medals, and I think he wants someone to ask why he is not wearing his coronation medal so he can speak about what is bugging him without being the one to bring it up.
This is also a part of a new and clever strategy (in Harry's eyes) to get his father to reward him for all his hard work (again, in Harry's eyes). I know this is nit logical or rational coming from Harry, but the energy from the cards is that Harry thinks he has spent his life working for the BRF and that he thinks has not been rewarded for all that hard work in an adequate manner.
Underlying all this is his attitude to his brother - he has x so I have to have x too (and y, and z etc). He also seems to be blaming his brother for his lack of recognition at the Coronation and his lack of a role in the Coronation, for all his plans not working out, for not recognised for his hard work for the BRF, etc etc etc. It is all William's fault.

"Oh Geez! why would they Volonteer me to represent the class!!" You huffed as you went inside one of the apartments in your family's rental place to use as a dorm. "Are you alright your grace?" Asked Kaveh leaning on the couch with a Sketchbook. "No. Not really...Given the fact that I have to perform on stage in...a week max?" Pinching the bridge of your nose while pacing. "What exactly are you performing your holiness?" Asked Zhongli placing a tray of newly brewed tea on the coffee table. You passed him a Convenient English Version of Jose Rizal's work: Noli me Tanghere
"Page 58 that's the character..." You pointed dropping your self on the couch next to Kaveh. Xingqiu saw the book and flipped to said page "Sisa? What's her character?"
"So bassicaly she's a woman driven crazy because of her husband's abuse and the loss of her 2 sons because of the corrupt church"you stated directly at the book thinking If you missed anything. They looks the right amount of concerned.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have to dig through my closet because it's in 2 days" you stood up rushing to your room.
Once again, you're on the couch with the ladies: Yun Jin, Nilou, and Ayaka. "I just need a twist... something that will make people react, " you whispered to yourself. The others looked very much concerned for your well-being. The competition was tomorrow, and it was very nerve racking, no one dared to cut you from your concentration.
You almost started jumping in joy when an idea hit you. Looking up songs upon songs and making a little to then sing "ok...Im ready!" You said to yourself. Ayaka softly patted your back with a gentle smile. You can relax just a bit.
The day of the competition arrived, and you managed to slip the genshin cast into school pretending that they were cosplaying. You were pacing around back stage calming down your nerves with Yun Jin making sure you look alright.
"Representing Section Juan Luna!..." The teacher called out as the lights dimmed and you walked on stage singing a small tune
Thats when you got your class to do it to scream insults at you as you're performing. "Baliw! Baliw!" Crazy! Crazy! they all kept screaming thats when you started to shout back "Baliw!? Di ako Baliw! Nakikita mo ba ilaw sa Kampanaryo! Anak ko yon! Si Crispin! Nagpapadausdos sa Lubid! Crispin! Basilio! Anak ko! " Crazy!? Im not Crazy! Cant you see the light in the steeple! Those are my children! Crispin! Pulling the rope! Crispin! Basilio! My children!
You started sobbing uncontrollably acting as if you actually gone crazy as the music drops. Then the light dimmed ending your performance. A loud round of applause rang in the gymnasium. You stood up and bowed.
After you got off the stage you went over to the genshin cast they were cheering you on. Now all you had to do was sit and watch the rest of the performances.
"Now it is time to announce the winners!" The vice president of the Pandayan Filipino Club said. It finally arrived to announce your grade's winners
"Remember Your Grace, No matter if you win or lose" Zhongli said.
"For the grand champion! And the best performance for Sisa! Goes to..." You felt your body go stiff, you were holding onto Kaveh for support. "SECTION JUAN LUNA!" Both the announcers said. You accidentally pushed eachother when you heard you won.
You quickly made your way up the stage to get the Trophy and Medal and bowed. All is well and hard work payed off

ooh, I am torn between "untitled document" and "reverseAU". Please pick one for me!
I only included untitled document because it's funny to me, so it's good you chose two.
This is the whole of untitled document. To this day I have no idea what it is.
'reverse AU' was a classic Yuri on Ice prompt that was essentially just a role reversal of canon. I really liked the way my idea played out, but I sadly never got around to finishing it.
Anyway it's a good chunk of words, and I'm pretty certain I'll never finish, so I'll just put it behind a read more. Yuri on Ice fans come get your food.

Victor had slipped in after public ice time was over, after the last of the beginner skating lessons were done for the day, and kindly asked Yuuko Nishigori, the young woman who worked at the rink, if he could have some private ice time.
He was surprised when she recognized him, professing that it’s not every day a world-famous figure skater came into their rink out of the blue and asked to skate. Victor didn’t think he was particularly world famous, but he supposed, if you were a skating fan already, he might be recognizable.
“You can use the rink while we’re closing up. That should give you about forty-five minutes? If you want more ice time than that, you’ll have to schedule it with us and pay for it in advance.”
Victor nodded, pleased that the woman spoke English well, because he didn’t know more than the most basic of Japanese.
He was still feeling the effects of jet lag, so once he’d laced up his skates he spent a good ten or so minutes just skating around the rink, orienting himself with the setting and breathing in the crisp cool air of a rink well loved.
And then, he began to skate. It was a program he knew down to his very bones, better than his own programs from that year, which to be honest, considering his last experience in competition, he’d rather forget anyway.
When Yuuri Katsuki skated, it was like he made music with his body. Victor thought that, even if he went out there and skated a program with no music playing, it would hardly make a difference, would hardly diminish its beauty. Yuuri was the music itself; it flowed through him and was expelled from his fingertips, from the silver of his blades flashing and gliding across the ice.
It took Victor’s breath away, but he hardly cared. Even if Victor could no longer breathe, he was sure he could survive on Yuuri’s skating alone; on the serenity of his smile, on the grace and poise he moved with.
If Victor could skate like that, if he could skate even half as well as that, he would be happy. If he could stand on the podium with Yuuri Katsuki, know that Yuuri had watched him skate, had been impressed by it, then it would have all been worth it; the pain in his leg that occasionally still ached to this day, the years of recovery from an injury that could easily have been career ending, the biting commentary and the cynicism the media had had about him; ‘just give up, Victor Nikiforov is over’ for season upon season. The Russian skating federation would rather be done with him, he knew it. There were new stars on the rise; junior world champion Yuri Plisetsky for one. And even Georgi Popovich, his longtime rink mate, had managed a top six finish at worlds in Victor’s absence just days before.
There was no music as he began the program; Yuuri’s program, the one he’d just won his fifth world title with, his fifth grand prix final gold medal. It was the program that Victor skated every single day because he loved skating, and this was the one thing that could remind him of it.
He heard the piano in his head as he skated, listening to the sound of his blades across fresh ice, allowing it to soothe him as he ran through the elements of this ridiculously difficult program that he loved so much. His jumps were coming easily, and he breathed a sigh of relief at that. The tiny amount of pain in his leg, he knew, was because it was still stiff from the plane ride.
Victor knew that even at his best, he lacked Yuuri’s grace. He’d been told growing up, back when he was fresh from his second junior world title, back when he was on the trajectory to shake up the senior world, that he was an excellent all-around skater. But Yuuri, Yuuri was art. It could have been his ballet background, but Victor had known other skaters with a similar background, and none of them moved like Yuuri.
He let the imaginary music carry him through the second half of the program, making the decision to downgrade a quadruple loop into a triple (he’d never managed to master that jump), and closed his eyes as he launched into the step sequence, the element Yuuri was most famous for and the thing Victor was least confident in. It was almost too much for him, Yuuri moved quick as lightning during this part and Victor thought that perhaps, if the music were playing, he may have fallen behind. But…
The last jump was a quadruple flip, and Victor was still amazed at how Yuuri put it at the end of his program, but laboriously, because he was tired, and he was feeling the burn in his chest and his legs, he launched into it, landing it cleanly and with a flourish.
He ended the program, his hand over his chest and his other arm reaching out toward the edge
of the rink.
For a moment, he closed his eyes, imagining applause, imagining that he’d successfully skated a clean program in competition, and one as difficult as this.
When he opened them, there was no applause, but there was an audience.
Yuuri Katsuki stood at the edge of the rink, his eyes wide behind blue frames and his mouth wide open.
Victor almost fell over, only narrowly stopping himself from falling on his ass in front of Yuuri Katsuki himself. Sure, he knew this was Yuuri’s hometown. That’s why he’d come here. But Yuuri didn’t live in Hasetsu, he trained in Detroit, and how was he—to show up right now, of all times? Victor breathed heavily, exhausted and winded from the skate, as Yuuri made direct eye contact with him.
“You cut your hair,” Yuuri finally spoke, and that was what he’d said? Victor touched the back of his head, feeling the freshly shorn locks. It still felt strange to him. He’d had long hair since he was a preteen, but despite it being a big change, he didn’t think it was that high on the list of things Yuuri would want to comment on at the moment.
“I—I—yes?” Victor finally managed.
Yuuri let out a short laugh, and Victor swore that his cheeks pinked, just a little. “Sorry, I was surprised so I just… said the first thing that came to mind. That was weird.”
Victor felt his nerves, which had been taut as a bow string, loosen at that. “It’s okay. I just wanted a change, I guess.”
“I get that.” Yuuri paused and cleared his throat. “Victor Nikiforov.”
Victor nodded, a smile blooming on his face, because Yuuri had said his name, knew who he was.
“That was my program.” Yuuri’s grip tightened on the edge of the rink, and did he look nervous? He dropped his eyes to the ground. “You’re in my tiny hometown, which no one ever visits, and you’re skating my program?”
Victor grimaced inwardly. When he said it like that, it did sound like Victor was a bit of a weirdo. Victor just nodded, because what could he say now?
Yuuri lifted his hands from the barrier and squeezed them together, as if trying to stop himself from fidgeting. He let out a deep breath. “It was beautiful, Victor.”
He must have imagined the way that Yuuri’s eyes were shining when he lifted his head, must have been seeing things to think they looked like they were glittering with unshed tears.
“T-thank you,” Victor finally managed, breathless. He dared to skate closer to the edge of the rink, closer to Yuuri Katsuki, who was here and real and in front of him and thought he skated beautifully.
But Yuuri’s expression quickly shifted from one of amazement to one of--- irritation; anger?
Victor wasn’t sure, but his eyes grew wide and he skated a few steps backward.
“Why weren’t you at worlds?” Yuuri asked, and he sounded upset; angry even. It wasn’t like Yakov’s anger when he was shouting, or Yuri Plisetsky’s anger… pretty much all the time. This was something else entirely; anger edged with hurt, frustration, betrayal?
“I-I did badly at nationals and didn’t qualify,” Victor replied, confused. Why was he eliciting this reaction from Yuuri?
“If you’d gone and skated like that, you would have been on the podium!” he raised his voice. “If you’d landed the quad loop, you might have even been able to beat me.”
“I don’t think I---“
“I had no idea you could skate like that! Giacometti is good, but what you just did was,” Yuuri took a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair, “it was incredible.”
Victor gulped, his mouth suddenly feeling very dry. “You think so?” he asked, and it was quiet, but there was an edge of excitement to it.
Yuuri crossed his arms. “Sure, yeah. You would have placed above Chris and Otabek easily.”
“And you?”
Yuuri nodded, and there was something like a spark in his eye. Victor didn’t know what to think of it. “With a little bit of work, yeah.”
“You’re not just saying that because you’re underestimating yourself, are you?” Victor let out a short laugh. He knew from years of experience, of watching interview upon interview and reading every magazine that he could get his hands on, that Yuuri could be modest to a fault. He skated to the edge of the rink, closing the distance between the two of them until he was only a foot or so from Yuuri Katsuki.
It’s not as if it was the first time he’d ever seen him. They’d competed against each other several times before; at worlds, at the Grand Prix final, and at a couple of Grand Prix events throughout the years. But Yuuri was reserved, choosing to surround himself with only a few close friends, and although in general other skaters liked him and found him friendly, he wasn’t close to many of them. Victor had exchanged a few short snatches of conversation with Yuuri, but nothing lengthy, and certainly nothing like this; where it was just the two of them, alone.
“I’m not,” Yuuri replied.
Victor took a deep breath and placed his hands on the barrier of the rink, right next to Yuuri Katsuki. Their fingers were only inches apart, and Victor took a moment to imagine…
“I um, came to Hasetsu because it was your hometown,” Victor began. “After what happened at nationals, skating was difficult for me. But then… I decided to practice with your free skate from this year, and it really helped.”
Yuuri blinked, confused. The rink was so quiet, just the two of them, their breathing, and the fans that kept it cool.
Victor let out a brief shudder. “My coach, Yakov, thought I was obsessed, but he didn’t understand that this program was what was keeping my skating alive.” His lips quirked up in a small smile. “He told me to take a vacation.”
“So you came to Hasetsu?” Yuuri leveled him a look.
“You’ve always inspired me, Yuuri, from the first time I saw you when I was a child. I thought, if I could visit the place my inspiration found his inspiration, maybe that would help me.” Victor felt his cheeks flush despite himself.
He must have imagined the way Yuuri’s cheeks pinked as well. “I inspire you that much?”
“You don’t think it’s creepy?” Victor let out a nervous laugh.
Yuuri shook his head in the negative. “No. It’s… nice, actually.”
Victor’s face brightened at that, his smile wide and beaming. “Yuuri!”
“But I didn’t expect this, that’s for certain.”
“Well I didn’t expect you to be here. I thought you lived in Detroit.”
Yuuri pushed his glasses up and brushed a stray hair out of his face. “Oh I do, but since Worlds was in Tokyo this year, I decided to come back home afterward for the off season. I just got here, and I have a key to the rink so…” He let out a nervous laugh. “Sorry, I just can’t believe you visited Hasetsu just because I’m from here.”
“And memorized your program,” Victor muttered.
“That too.”
Victor reached up, hesitant, and placed a hand on Yuuri’s shoulder. “It shouldn’t be that surprising. Do you have any idea how much you’ve inspired people?”

A Subtitler’s Hypothesis for the Timeline of the End of FS2
Be prepared for a novel here 😂
So the opening montage through the night pool scene is likely March (potentially early April, but no one is actually -seen- going to school yet, so probably end of March)
Although clearly everyone has some kind of arrangement or virtual accommodations with school, because they are ALL at training camp from April – August/September, maybe even through early October (so Haru, being out of the country away from school for a couple months? Paltry lol he did not quit school imo)
-Nationals in DF were in August (high school nationals are in August, I checked lol), which was followed by the All Japan, however based on how warm everyone is dressed in Tokyo afterwards in FS2, it can’t be earlier than September/October-y
Fukuoka Tournament – (late?) October – I say late based on those warm clothes again; I’ve worn shorts in early October in Tokyo before lol. And yet those in Iwatobi aren’t dressed too warmly yet, so it couldn’t be later than that. It doesn’t seem like a lot of time passed between the All Japan and Fukuoka, so they could both realistically be in October, even. But there’s two facts to sort of reverse engineer that this was Octoberish
-A Japanese fan pointed out the clock at sunset when Rin is showing his family his bronze medal, it’s around 5:10, and the sun is starting to set. Looking at sunset time maps, this would fit in October. (The sun sets in the late 5 o clock range in mid to late October in Fukuoka)
-Ikuya tells Ai in early December that Haru “got out of the hospital last month” aka November, which saying last month idk it makes it sound to me like it was a different month than the actual competition lol
But why is Ikuya and Ai’s convo in early December, you ask? With the phrase “last month,” there has to be a month in between Fukuoka and Haru going to Iwatobi. I would say there is no more than that based on Ikuya’s clothes in the scene. The girl, and others around are wearing wintery coats, yet Ikuya, compared with his coat in FS1 when everyone leaves for New Year, isn’t that bundled yet. So it’s cold, but not cold enough for Ikuya to be in full ‘winter mode’ yet, aka early December. So:
Fukuoka Tournament – October-y
Haru in the hospital for some length of time – November (with My MakoHaru heart, I’d vote he gets out before Makoto’s birthday lol ^^ BUT he does need to be out with a few weeks left in November so he has time to shoot the advertisement billboard, and get his stuff ready/school affairs in order to go to Iwatobi in December)
-sidebar, after this convo would be where Ai goes to Hungary to study abroad (maybe after New Year); the line “soon after entering university” has to mean within his first year of school, so away he goes lol
(Even if the tournament & hospitalization were both in October somehow, and “last month” meant October [the deciding factor would be how long you think he was in the hospital for], this would still be mid or late November because of the Ikuya clothes thing, and needing the time for the billboard and school, so everything still applies lol)
Haru in Iwatobi – December; where it makes sense he wouldn’t leave before New Year, when people are home to celebrate
So January he would get his affairs in order in Iwatobi and Tokyo, and be gone from late January/February through the end of March
Why I think the epilogue is the end of March: We’ve got both new students showing up in Tokyo, and also Momo hasn’t had his send off race yet – it’s a between period where things are happening over the break. Further evidence, in ES1 when they go to the send off race, a calendar showing a third week in a month is seen (you can see a digit in the teens in the week above, and a digit beginning with 2 in the week below) – there is no month, but it can only be March, because February would be too early, and April way too late.
Unrelated to the timeline lol: so in my headcanon world, Rin & Makoto have come to Hungary for some form of tournament: Haru is back now (precise verbs were “is back” & “is returning”), so his rehab must be in its end stages. There could be a tournament happening in Hungary that will be Haru’s first ‘official’ tournament of his return, and Rin is there to compete, and Makoto is there to support/shadow trainers, etc (that could have happened through a connection with Azuma, Nao, or his school, or even Natsuya take your pick lol). After said tournament, Haru may stay in Hungary a few more weeks to get his stuff together, then return to Tokyo.
Why is it a tournament, not some kind of training camp? We were given one tiny, tiny clue lol: When the world championships were in Budapest last year, Free’s website made some kind of note about broadcasting or something I cannot recall tbh lol but the important thing is they called it “Hungary Tournament,” the same way they call all the tournaments in FS. Smart Japanese fans pointed out that nowhere in any media coverage of the Budapest championships was it called “Hungary Tournament.” So it had the vibe of a subtle wink to fans lol, but it could be either one (headcanon stays almost the same lolol).

Uhhh so people are discussing a past post of mine, about drawing mcd characters as tarot cards. So, I was inspired to give readings for some of the characters.
I did simple past/present/future readings, but added another card for person. What I was getting from this was just how the character is seen, or how they feel about themselves. It could honestly go either way.
Fair warning, this post is LOOONGGG.
Anyways, let's begin!
I did Aphmau first- here is her reading-
past; page of pentacles, four of pentacles (both reversed) Just to start, Aphmau's reading was kind of crazy, however I expected it. Two cards, actually, two pentacles came from the deck when I prompted it with the past reading. The page of pentacles does resemble Aphmau when she'd first started the series. She was rebellious, disorganized. The page in this suit usually signifies scholars, but since it was reversed, it really did show Aph's quirkier sides. The four of pentacles came with the page, also reversed. When upright, this card symbolizes the need to hold on to everything you have, and not let anything go. But in this scenario, Aphmau really had nothing and was giving away what she could to help her friends.
present; six of rods. This card symbolizes hard work that has paid off. A soldier coming home with medal upon medal. After fighting Zane, Aphmau was victorious. The town celebrated, they worshipped her, in the form of Lady Irene.
future; the fool, and the magician. I was really suprised when I drew two major arcana cards. However, this is Aphmau and I would not expect less. I do really really think that Aph and The Fool are related. The Fool is a traveler, embarking on a life's journey. The white rose he holds denotes pure intentions. He's starting anew, willing to jump into the unknown. This resembles Aphmau in her entire being. And with The Magician, it signifies how powerful she is. She rules with a strong arm, but she always has new ideas, and is willing to help those around her thrive.
person; queen of swords. Another card that really does resemble Aphmau. The Queen of Swords signifies the widow. However, she powers through. She continues on bravely, despite the losses she's faced and no one can stop her.
Next was Laurance-
past; eight of cups. The eight of cups is somewhat of a warning. But, it's a good one. It tells you to keep going, and not to turn your back on the opportunites to come. AKA, in Laurance's case, finding Aphmau. Sure, he had to go through insane hardship, first, but once he gets through that, he can thrive.
present; seven of rods, reversed. This card signifies the underdog, however, it was reversed. We know Laurance as this talented and driven individual, top of his class at the guard academy, one of the most powerful shadow knights, and aphmau's most trusted guard. It makes sense in the context of the reading.
future; the emperor, reversed. This card, when reversed, signifies a lack of self-discipline, and possessiveness over the things you have. The Emperor, when reversed, can also mean that you're being controlled. That's just... The Emperor can speak for himself in this situation.
person; justice. The Justice card is under the sign of Libra. She represents fairness, however, harsh decisions can still be made under her ruling. In the context of Laurance, I see his fun personality, but his rigidity when it comes to rules. He's always out for the safety of others, but can make a decision if one needs to be made.
I did Garroth after-
past; queen of swords. I can see how the Queen of Swords would play into Garroth's past. First, losing Vylad. Then, losing his choice (aka marrying nicole). So, he left, therefore losing his family. But, he gained Phoenix Drop. His intelligence keeps him cool, much like the Queen. And, through all of this, his bravery and leadership never leaves him.
present; the lovers, reversed. oh my god, when I pulled this card I SCREAMED. I've always associated Garroth with the Lovers card, however seeing it reversed really hit right where it hurt. The reversed lovers card just means failed romance after failed romance. Either in the way where you can't start one, or can't keep one going. With this, I see Garroth's timidness towards his feelings. EVERYONE can see it, except the person he has the feelings for in the first place. He just... doesn't have that much luck with relationships.
future; seven of pentacles, reversed. The seven of pentacles, when reversed, kind of just means lost efforts. Putting your time and effort into something that won't last, or won't give you what you'd hoped for. This is Garroth waking up to the fact that he's kind of wasted a lot of his time, put so much of himself into work and into Aphmau that he's lost touch with himself.
person; nine of rods, reversed. My god, this boy just keeps getting reverse cards and they're getting worse and worse 😭 The nine of rods signifies the eye of the storm. Garroth is in the trenches, basically. When upright, it's a sign of hope and encouragement, that this too shall pass. However, when it's reversed, it's telling you to get out and get out fast. You've been too weak and timid for too long and now you have to face the fire.
It's time for Vylad-
past; seven of rods, four of swords. This time, when I pulled the seven of rods, it was upright. We do know Vylad as the underdog, the forgotten Ro'meave brother. This also symbolizes Vylad as Laurance's opposite, which makes so much sense. With the four of swords, we see a hero who needs to take a step back. The four of swords depicts a knight in his tomb, laid to rest. Basically, Vylad's already done so much and he needs to take a break.
present; queen of pentacles. Pulling the Queen of Pentacles for Vylad confused me for a moment, but it made sense in the end. The Queen of this suit is a symbol of wealth and fertility. Even if she does love her bounty, she is not afraid to share it with those who need it. Vylad is doing all of this from the sidelines. He's sharing his wisdom and security with those he loves. He brings Aphmau to Phoenix Drop, for his brother. And then, continues to watch over them for years, until he is taken back to the nether, where he is still watching over Laurance.
future; eight of cups. I drew this for Laurance as well, which shows even more how similar yet polarized these characters are. Vylad now wants to flee, at the end of his journey. He finally begins to settle down after a life of running, yet the explorer within calls to him. He's scared to stay put. He wants to leave, even if this is the best he's felt in a long time.
person; strength, eight of swords. The strength card is practically a big ass sign telling you to use your head and not your heart. This is all that Vylad stands for. He's disconnected himself from his emotions, and led with his wisdom for years. The Strength card is all about restraint, and that's all Vylad has been doing his entire life.
Alright, this is all I'm doing for now, but if you want more, I am definitely up for it.

KHx-Era Velcia’s opinions of Light vs Darkness are complicated, but she is herself a Wielder of Light through and through. Her view of the Light vs Darkness is somewhat unformed and naive, and first seeing only the black-and-white picture of good vs evil and Wielder vs Heartless, before finding friends that use Darkness for good and discovering that the Reverse Medals provided to the Wielders of Daybreak Town harness Dark Magic for good. She ultimately finds a small amount of amused satisfaction at the irony of being able to use Reverse Medals, which generally were adorned with depictions of “Bad Guys”, to do good things.
After the Keyblade War, her opinions were further confused - the overwhelming Darkness that destroyed everyone she’d ever known would have been a clear damnation of Darkness to her, if not for the fact that she was saved from this very war by an unusual Heartless. Despite this, encounters with or memories of Darkness would invariably haunt her with memories of the final days of Daybreak Town and though she would understand that there are caveats, she would generally wish to have nothing to do with Darkness at all.
KHII-Era Velcia:
Having both seen and suffered terrible losses from the destruction of Darkness, both by Heartless and Dark-aligned Keyblade Wielders, Velcia is firmly set to doing everything she can to help fight against the Darkness and protect others from the damage it can cause. She is, however, vehemently opposed to the Heartless and the dark Keyblade Wielders who would use their powers to hurt others - an opposition so deeply rooted that she can lose sense of her own self-preservation should the situation grow too desperate.
However, Velcia understands that not all that is darker is Darkness; and sometimes these black magics and spells can be put to good use to help in places or ways that may not be possible otherwise. So, while she generally has a great distaste for using them, she makes sure to keep well-versed in and capable of using a variety of Dark Magic spells should the need ever arise.
An interesting example of this holistic approach to magic comes from Velcia’s ability to invert spells. This is not an inherent ability that comes without effort to her, rather, her understanding of the fundamental nature of the magic energies and construction of the enchantments allows her to change aspects of the spell to reverse this effect. For example, Velcia is able to invert a healing spell like “Cura” and instead cast a “Decay” spell, which as the name suggests causes the target to begin to rapidly degrade and break down. This particular example is, of course, a rather horrifying sort of spell and not something she casts unless left very little other choice against creatures like the Hydra. These inverted spells can sometimes have effects that are very similar to those produced by spells of Dark Magic, but are not fueled by darkness and can avoid some of the pitfalls of using Dark Magic at the general trade-off of differing effectivity.

I'm sorry for the question but I'd like to know for your 50/50 poll if that is actually something Tumblr users have achieved or if you can modify polls to always show 50/50

Gonna answer these in reverse order:
Nope, you can't revote on a poll. Once it's cast, it's cast, no takebacks.
I can't modify the polls whatsoever after they're posted. Like, at all. Can't even add tags to them, change the title, etc; that's put in place on purpose so that people can't change what the poll's supposed to be voting for mid-vote. (It's actually a little frustrating because I can only use polls if they're submitted to me, and if I accidentally set them for 24 hours instead of a week, I have to delete the poll and use up a new one)
On the 50/50—that happened completely by chance! I've had two polls that very much toe the 50/50 line, this blank one and this snail one.
In the case of the snails, people were motivated to balance them. The title gave a clear goal: "They’re trying to tie so they can share the 1st place medal." Towards the beginning, it was unbalanced pretty wildly, then as more and more people blindly voted for whichever they thought was in the losing spot, it evened out to 50/50, and each "wrong" vote that skewed it wouldn't be enough to shift it a full percentage.
Think of it this way. If I hold out my hands, and one hand has two grains of rice, and the other has five, it's pretty easy to see that the hand that has 5 grains has more rice. If you have, instead, two BAGS of rice, whether or not one or the other has 3 extra grains doesn't really matter anymore, because the weight and space they take up gets lost among the rest.
The snail vote actually skews ever-so-slightly towards the bottom snail. You can see this on mobile, because mobile shows fractions of a percent in the actual bar measure—the bottom snail is a few pixels ahead. But it's just that: fractions of a percent. Tumblr likes whole numbers, so it rounded 50.003% (not the actual number, just a guess) down to 50%, and 49.997% up to 50%, making them appear even.
The reason I bring up the motivation part is because, whenever the snail poll DID skew a full percent, everyone started to tag it to let people ahead know about it. "Bottom snail is at 51%! Everyone vote top snail!" And I assume their followers listened to that advice. If you read through the notes of that post, you can see that in action.
The blank post is doing this COMPLETELY organically. Since neither option actually contains anything, there's a negligible amount of bias towards one particular answer. YOU might think of pressing the bottom answer first because you felt like it, but the NEXT person might just click the first answer they see, and so on. There's no reason why one blank option should be favored over the other, so it isn't.
As of typing this, the blank poll is at nearly 18k votes; I'm sure it sways one way or another by fractions of a percent, just like the snail poll. But because the bias towards either answer is basically nonexistent, the vast majority of people split into 50/50 again.
It's literally a coin flip. A coin has two faces with equal chances of landing, no matter which one you feel obligated to call.

For the love of everything,
I have a bucket of disabilities, both physical and non physical.
And let me just say, with a hearty pinch of salt, being disabled does not exclude you from ableism. And this includes being physically disabled.
Yes abled bodied ND people shouldn't be authorities or main voices on physically disabled issues. Yes abled bodied ND people can very much be ableist and exclusionary. The same applies in reverse.
Nd people and neurological disabilities belong in discussions about inclusion and ableism and accomodation. And those disabilities/needs are just as valid and important as every other disability.
Sensory issues are a spectrum, they aren't just getting a little distracted. My auditory sensory issues can be more excruciating than second degree burns or dislocated bones. And that applies for all sorts of non physical needs. I prioritize my hearing needs over that of a hard of hearing friend, because one is painful/incapacitating/and highly elevates risk of injury. That doesn't make me a bad person or ableist, that makes me a person who when push comes to shove isn't going to torture myself so another person can be ideally included.
If you think the world is accommodating to or that ND and neurologically disabled people don't experience real ableism, then I don't know what to say besides that's wrong. Discrimination, violence, assault, harrassment, abuse, neglect, exclusion, hate, isolation, systematic barriers, a lot of us are very familiar with it. And even places that claim to be "accommodating of sensory needs" rarely actually are. They're too little to be effective, blocked off from use, only available an hour or two a day every week to month, they're isolated rooms you can stay in while everyone else in your group does stuff, that's not actual accessibility, and even that is extremely rare.
And just because a place will accommodate syringes or wheelchairs doesn't mean it will accommodate me, it means it's more likely to accommodate me but it's beyond less than a guarantee.
The argument people can't enter buildings? I can't always either. I can't always go to public or government spaces even(which I'm aware doesn't just apply to ND issues.)
I try constantly to be a better ally to all types of disability, though I make no claims to be perfect. I am not trying to hurt or dismiss people. I am constantly trying to learn and I want to. I am personally dedicated to making the world better in whatever ways I can for physically disabled and ND/neurologically disabled people.
I'm not saying that as some kind of medal or asking for you to respect me for that. I'm saying this to try to say that I do care, that I do want to learn and improve myself. And so do many others.
I am just so tired of feeling like neither community wants me, and facing constant dismal from both sides of the disability community. Particularly during our pride month.
The world isn't accessible or kind to physical or non physical disabilities, so we need to try our best to uplift and help out each other.

you know what, I have nothing better to do while waiting for background check and flailing nervously over 'can I do 9-5 and not crash', so I'm going to write up last week's session (this week's called on account of Halloween)
So! When last we left our bold heroes, we'd just spent two years of downtime growing into our home-base of Leilon. Our wizard studied, our former wizard ran the town council, our revenant ranger/rogue skulked about learning about his foes, our paladin ran her village, our barbarian formed the village police. Glory and Carver got married, and you can read that write-up here-
Right around a year in, there was a visit from a boatload of giants, claiming Leilon as 'Little Mintarn' due to the massive influx of Mintarn peoples, and therefore a client state of 'Hogarth'(? my hearing sucks, I know that's not his name) the ancient red wyrm that demands tribute every few years. We tell them to fuck off, and spend the next year preparing. A few days after scheduled, the boat of giants arrives.
Carver, the now immensely powerful cleric, is on the other beach with civilians, handling that story-wise and making up the backup in case anything makes it to proper shore. Meanwhile, there's a series of little islands out in the bay that most ships have to pass to get into the harbor- and the bay is further blockaded by floats of barrels and flotsam lashed together to push our enemies where we want them to go. Trinidad swims out (swim speed, and breathes under water!) and rips holes out of the bottoms of their boats, then swims back.
On the shore, we stand with ballistas and gathered archers and mercenaries (see last episode about the dissolution and dispersal of the White Sails). By the time the two remaining ships of giants arrive on shore, we have been sighting and picking a very few of them off from a distance- fire and frost giants, and hill giants and ogres with howdahs on their backs full of goblins. But when they hit the shore, that's when things really get interesting.
Did you know a 15th level wizard can just fuckin... reverse gravity? Because I didn't.
So while on one side Alain the revenant brought back to create justice is laying waste about him with his ballista installation, on the other we have a ship full of floating, angry giants, just- drifting on up into the sky. Their ship is on fire, they're being shot at by a tiefling with 8d6 sneak attack and a generous DM, chased by an angry paladin, and shit is generally not going their way. The fire giants at least are throwing flaming debris at us, but we're ducking and weaving and hiding behind the peaked roofs of the administrative buildings that have been evacuated to ready us for this assault.
There was a cloud giant who initially said he was just an observer- and then tried the whammy on Alain to get him to turn the ballista on us.
Tried.
It did not go well for him.
One frost giant actually made it up onto the shore and started laying waste to the mercenaries on the ground, whomst were healed several times by Maeve the paladin using made-up mass combat rules, but took heavy losses as he started stomping around. Just as she was taking him out at the knee, Sorianna our wizard releases the reverse gravity spell-
-and the boat turns to flinders as most of its already softened-up residents are turned into jelly by the unforgiving ocean floor. Because control water is a cleric spell, and there just happened to be an interested party on a further shore.
The fight ran long, so we wrapped it up pretty quickly after that, but there was a solid implication of 'home for tea and medals' and there's definitely going to be some relieved kissing by the (un)holy-husbands.
Next week's homework- what's the worst trick your character ever played on someone, or- what's your character's favorite, 'try and take this from me and you will draw back a stump' kind of treat?
It's also mentioned that- due to other world events of the previous campaign- basically, our group? At fifteenth level and having achieved a certain amount of notoriety for slaying dragons and basically pacifying the region- we are the cavalry for handling shit like this. So the Lords' Alliance wants to talk to us about that red dragon and his flunkies that have been burning and pillaging...

Part 4.
--- So this time, it wasn't a manga, but 12 episodes of original animation. Was the feeling different?
"I had almost no experience in creating story with a length specified in advance - it was very refreshing. If it were a manga serialized in a magazine, then it would still be possible to correct the direction based on readers' response or reflect their opinions in the story, but in this case, when the first episode aired on TV, my part of work has already been almost finished. So, while I was working, I couldn't get any response from the viewers - it created a pressure, that I didn't know before. But I always thought that as a mangaka I should once try to challenge myself to try this reverse formula, where you need to decide how to direct a story toward a fixed ending to make it as exciting as possible - it was a lot of fun.
--- How the plot and characters, the elements which are the center of the story, were created?
"The Director has already been sitting on a foundation of the plot, from the time when I first met with her. The idea of a Japanese skater protagonist and a foreign top skater, who becomes his coach and together they compete in the Grand Prix Final - it hasn't changed from the very start. After that, we decided what events were going to happen in each episode, and how the competitions were going to develop, including the ending in which, in the end, Yuuri wasn't able to win a gold medal - it all was quite firmly decided at an early stage. The details of plot of each episode were then decided in many different ways - some things were decided by both me and the Director through discussions, and sometimes one of us created a draft proposal, to which we then introduced revisions. Among [manga] editors, there are also people, who know how to write a story, so for me it was something similar to working with this type of editor. At any rate, the screenplay which also included details, like the characters' lines, was created by both of us, me and Yamamoto Director.

Benediction of Saint Benedict
The Benediction of Saint Benedict was once used as an amulet. Abbreviations of this benediction were inscribed on medals or crosses with the inclusion of words from Matthew 4:10 (“Get thee behind me, Satan”).
[“Get thee behind me, Satan! You shall not convince me to do evil; whatever you show me is evil, drink your own poison! May the sacred cross be my light! May the devil not be my guide.”]
A precise arrangement is respected when doing this. The first sentence occupies the border of the amulet, the second is written in the shape of a cross, then the four words Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti are written in the four corners. This amulet works against the evil spells of sorcerers and the snares set by demons; it also protects animals and is used to free the possessed.
A manuscript bearing this benediction and instructions in the ways to use the Cross of Saint Benedict was found in the Bavarian monastery of Metten in 1647. The cross was worn on a very long chain, it was dipped into the water one drank and the water used to bathe, and it was affixed to the front door of the home or buried beneath the threshold. Sometimes the reverse side of the cross bears the twenty-five letters of Zacharias’s Benediction. The variant Vade retro Satanas et omnis angele nociue percuciens drives storms away.
This “benediction” made its way into France around 1741, where it was published under the title The Effects and Virtues of the Cross or Medal of the High Patriarch Saint Benedict. Augmented with the Benediction and Prayers. Extracts from the German Printers, with the following information noted: “Paris: Chez Pierre de Bats, bookseller of the Palace, in the image of Saint Francis, DCC XLI. With permission.” The text describes how the medallion’s virtues were discovered.
In the year 1647, while hunting witches in Bavaria and even hav- ing executed several in the town of Straubingen, several of them during their interrogations confessed to the judges that their spells had no effects on the people or animals of Nattreumbec Castle, neighbor to Metten Abbey of the Benedictine Order, because of several holy medallions in places that they identified. These, in fact, were found, but no one, not even the witches, could decipher the caracteres engraved upon them, until an ancient manuscript was discovered in the library of this abbey that provided complete illumination. A full report on this was made to the Duke of Bavaria, who, wishing to learn this for himself, had the medals and manuscripts brought to the town of Ingolstadt and from there to Munich. After comparing the one with the other, he assured all that one could use these medallions profitably without any hint of errors or superstition, and had a written account drawn up of his findings.
The 1741 printing notes:
Rumors of this discovery spread throughout the land, and everyone wanted to have one of these medallions. One was obliged to make several, which were blessed by the monks of the order and produced wonderful effects, primarily against charms and evil spells, as reported by those who used them either by wearing them at their necks or by dipping them in water that was given to the bewitched animals to drink. . . .
The effects of this medallion are:
Wherever this medallion is present, it drives all manner of curses, bindings, evil spells, and other diabolical effects out of the human body.
It prevents any witches, sorcerers, enchanters, or magicians from entering the places where this medal is present or approaching the people who possess it.
It is a good, quick remedy for helping animals infected and poisoned by some curse, evil spell, or other unknown ill to grow larger.
Several women in labor who were unable to deliver imme- diately gave birth once one of these medallions was hung around their neck while invoking Saint Benedict.
This holy medallion is a guaranteed remedy for creatures infected by a demon; by wearing it they will possess full peace and self-assurance.

Wrote this whole ass thing for my role reversal fic and I don't like it so I'm probably going to take it out.
I feel like it's unfair to the Founder Ymir for her pov to never to see the light of day, though (and also I spent a long time on it), so here it is. If I do end up using it in the fic, pretend you didn't read it already 👍
Context: it's kind of fragmented because Mikasa is seeing Ymir's story play out in memory bursts after she kisses Historia's hand at the medal ceremony. No further explanations forthcoming.
...A little girl stumbling, terrified, through the woods with hounds and hunters at her heels. The sharp, throbbing pain of an arrow shearing through skin and muscle to lodge itself in her bone. A glowing, many-legged creature scrabbling inside her failing body and giving her a new one that no one on earth could destroy. A cruel and despotic king using her newfound power for conquest and taking her as conquest. Rocking her babies and humming them lullabies, all other murmurings of maternal love muted by her clipped tongue. Looking in the mirror and seeing a woman who wanted to be free but had always been owned and did not know how to live without a master, and so she obeyed, bringing the king closer to obtaining the empire he craved and wishing that she could exist as something besides a weapon for someone else’s war. She found her way out in the path of a rebel’s spear hurled at her king, its sharp point glinting with the promise of liberation. She threw herself in front of it, taking the death meant for her master and keeping it for herself. In service to her king she also defied him, sucking in her last breath as he ordered her to live and help him complete his triumph, slipping away from his grasp as her final exhalation diffused her soul into the ether.
How cruel it was to discover that even in death she could not escape the will of her king. She had no body but she lived on. Her children, her precious daughters, had been made to devour her body, absorbing the essence of what she had become. They carried her within themselves, keeping her manacled to existence, held in a lonely, expansive prison constructed by her own legacy. As her progeny multiplied, each new life was a chain to bind her to the Paths. She fell into her old, familiar ways, toiling on, obedient as she had always been to the commands of Eldian kings, longing for an end to her servitude, knowing that if she had suffered a little longer— if she had fulfilled her duty to see her king and his tribe victorious— she might have been permitted the sweet release of oblivion.
It was that unfinished task that had damned her, but humans were warlike and greedy and she was sure the day would come when one of her children would fulfill their long ago sire’s wishes. Little could she have suspected that one of her king’s own blood would so love peace that he would summon all his people behind these walls. She was powerless to refuse a royal titan shifter's whims and so she did his bidding and twisted the new islanders' memories, making complacent recluses of them all and closing the door on their freedom and hers.

Howdy dear reader! I'm your host Glagger, and today I'm very excited to bring you the second intermission of my medal analysis series for Password VN.
In this intermission, we'll discuss the connection between Aquarius, Libra and Gemini, the medals associated to the three members of the cast whose shared trauma is being victims of people who were meant to love them.
Just like intermission one, it is recomended you read the individual medal sections for each medal intersected in this post first. This intermission has SPOILERS FOR THE NOVEL as well, so please, if you haven't read the novel yet and don't want to be spoiled, leave for now.
A brief intermission on the victims trio: Aquarius, Libra and Gemini, the positive aligned, repressed trio:
The first connection that stands out for these medals is that they all have air as their element, which makes their polarity positive as well. They are also route exclusive, and the characters that are connected to them all share the trauma of being victims harmed by people who were meant to protect them and love them. This trauma caused them to externalize the most repressed aspects of their identities in unhealthy ways. Another argument that supports the connection between these medals is that they are found precisely at the beginning, middle and end of the paths. This contrasts the sinners trio being the reverse, all found on the same day at the same time.
Orlando, who's tied to Aquarius, is the victim of emotional abuse. He is very expressive of his surface emotions, but reserved about his deeper feelings. This happens because the abuse of his family is based on the constant rejection of his feelings and desires. He is ignored as an individual and seen only as a recipient for their expectations, but that recipient is already full of all the things that make him who he is. Realizing he won't become what they wish, they ignore, neglect and verbally harm him, seeing and treating him as a failure for just being who he is. He always validates and is considerate of the emotions of others, comforting them when they feel overwhelmed by them, because he lacked that comfort, consideration and validation in the one instance he was supposed to receive it unconditionally. This ruined his self-esteem and made him passive and cowardly.
Hoss, who's tied to Libra, is a victim of psychological abuse. His parents use his love and devotion to family to try and manipulate him into being what they see as the correct and best version of himself. They claim not to reject his bisexuality, while also openly stating they hope he ends up with a girl, disguising their rejection and disappointment with "advice" and "worry". His parents "just happen" to say out loud that being queer is a bad example to children "coincidentally" in front of their bissexual son that loves his siblings to death. This behavior makes it obvious they are attempting to gaslight him into believing he's in the wrong for not "choosing" to do what's "best for the family". But Hoss isn't stupid, he got their true message with his talent for reading people, and is utterly tormented by the idea that someday his family will openly reject him and abandon him. Even if unintentionally, they completely destroyed Hoss' mental confidence using various forms of disguised emotional manipulation, causing him to become dishonest and insecure.
Tyson, who's connected to Gemini, is the victim of physical and sexual abuse. His mother abandoned him with an awful man, that abused of his status as a father to hurt, punish, rape, and do many more unspeakble things to his innocent son. His actions and her abandonment destroyed any semblance of kindness, trust and empathy Tyson had in his heart, causing him to develop an extremely prickly and violent shell to express all of the negative emotions he felt, and hide away his vulnerabilities so others can't abuse him again. In the wolf's mind, if his own father could do this, others are certainly capable of doing much worse. His queerness was also negatively impacted by this abuse, making him develop severe internalized homophobia and an incapacity to properly feel and express romantic affection and sexual attraction.
These three medals not only all belong to The positive polarity, but also to the same element, air. Air signs are all about communication and sociability, making it fitting that the three characters being connected to these medals suffer severely in social scenarios thanks to their traumas. The fact these three are associated in-game supports this connection. Tyson and Orlando have a very difficult relationship despite how similar their traumas are, which reflects the difference between Tyson's mutable sign and Orlando's fixed sign. Both however get along very well with Hoss since he sits in the middle with his cardinal sign aspect and middle-ground trauma. Tyson develops significant respect and admiration for Orlando after he grows courageous enough to fight back and endanger his life for the sake of Dave and the group, much like how Orlando started accepting Tyson once he showed that his change was something solid he was willing to stick with permanently.
When Roswell takes advantage of their emotional instability to kill Tyson and accidentally kill Orlando, Hoss is the one most affected alongside Dave over their deaths. These paths are the ones where Hoss' psychological state deteriorates the most, to the point he breaks down violently in fear and sadness because he no longer has his most important support pillars in the group. His death in path F could have also been avoided if Tyson and Orlando were still alive to emotionally ground him and keep him stable in the presence of Memphis' gun.
I would like to conclude by saying that abuse tends to mix together, and that Orlando and Hoss suffered both emotional and psychological abuse to different degrees, while Tyson also certainly suffered all three, however the ones that impacted them the most were emotional, psychological and physical respectively.

Hmmm. Excellent question! I don't think Caleb's bad at poker, necessarily, but I don't think it's really his thing. When he sees a deck of cards, he's not thinking of the games he could play with it but is wondering if he should be doing a card reading for himself (or someone else nearby) instead. :D That said, he is good enough to beat Donnelly in ME2. Maybe with a bit of assistance from Gabby. ;) (shh, it's a secret between them! lol)

Honestly? He forgets to eat. He's so damned busy trying to make sure everything's ready, etc. he doesn't even think about eating. Kaidan, of course, has him figured out by this point and gives him a protein bar on the way down to the shuttle bay before they land on Earth and will NOT let him off the lift until he's eaten it. Caleb (still getting used to the requirements for biotics) doesn't argue and eats it.
39. Do they keep around any sentimental items?
What kind of Irishman would he be if he didn't have anything sentimental? LOL He has several things, actually.
a) the St. Senan's medal he wears with his dog tags that Athair gives him as he's leaving Ireland when he's 18. It gets lost in the shuffle somewhere after Alchera and he goes all of ME2 without it, but Athair (thanks to a little finagling from Anderson) comes to see Caleb when he's incarcerated and gives him a new one.
b) the deck of cards that Saoirse gives him back during his Reds days when she teaches him how to read them. These are also lost over Alchera. When Abby figures that out (probably because of something Tali or Garrus or Joker says), she gets him a new deck of cards to use.
c) A small book of Irish poetry he and Ashley find on the Citadel together during ME1. He'd bought it for her after their talk about poetry, but when she's lost on Virmire, he holds onto it. He gives it to Abby just after the Battle of the Citadel (they meet on Earth). She has it when she comes on board the SR2 in ME2 and leaves it with him.
d) I suppose you could say his N7 tattoo on his right arm is sentimental, in a way. He doesn't get it just because he's made N7, but because he and Coats go out to celebrate, get slightly sloshed and when a waitress gets the two of them confused (they look enough alike to cause confusion with a quick glance), they decide to get tattoos to tell them apart. Coats suggests the N7 design, Caleb adds the Celtic braid. (in reverse: Caleb arranges for Coats to get one on his ass with a shamrock that says "kiss me I'm Irish" around it)
e) after the war, when he and Kaidan and the kids are back at the Alenko orchard, there are others. Their wedding rings (claddagh rings) are definitely sentimental to the both of them. The moose things that Abby sends them because apparently the moose becomes a 'thing'. The piano that Kaidan gets Caleb their first Christmas together. etc.
