Yandere!Yelan would be stressed out, not only do you wield three swords and seem to always get yourself in trouble, but you’re always getting lost. She’s at least glad that you can take care of yourself if the need arises but your obsession with being Teyvat’s Greatest Swordsman is a little out of control. She prefers that you don’t go out without her because she knows you’ll get lost, but if you should otherwise she’ll be sure to send out someone to follow you, keeping her informed of your location and every move.

Yelan smiled to herself as you trained in the backyard. While your bizarre workout routine often had her a bit worried, she admired your dedication to her work. There was a lot about you she loved, but your dedication to your goals was what drew her in, reminding her of herself sometimes. She had to keep you on a tight leash though, your lack of direction often leaving you in places you shouldn’t end up in. She never minded though, it was just another of your adorable quirks, something she found keeping her on her toes. Yelan loved you and all your strange, unique quirks.

Yandere!Beidou would find you very admirable, chasing so strongly after your ambitions as she had. While killing a Leviathan and becoming Teyvat’s Greatest Swordsman are two different life goals, she thinks you're an amazing individual for chasing your dreams so wholeheartedly.

Beidou smiled down at you from the top deck, watching as you polished your blades. While she didn’t understand the need for three swords, she knew you enjoyed it and so she never questioned it. She was grateful you didn’t put up a fight when it came to traveling on the Crux with her, not that you ever seemed to know where they were headed. It just made it easier for her to keep an eye on you, with your habit of wandering off and getting lost just to end up in a fight that she later patches you up from. She loved you and all your quirks but sometimes she wondered how you came to be this way, it wasn’t something you seemed keen to talk about.

Yandere!Alhaitham would find a beloved like this both a blessing and a curse. He loves your passion for swordfighting, often fighting with you for a bit of practice. While you certainly outmatch him with just one sword alone, he uses his intellect to spar with you, learning your moves and putting you into positions where you have to adapt and overcome. He finds the exercise to be an enjoyable break from his work, allowing him to keep his physical skills as sharp as his mental ones. He refuses to let you go anywhere by himself though, worried you’ll get lost and run into trouble, again.

Alhaitham smirked as he blocked another attack from you, having memorized every attack you’ve ever used against him. It was times like this that he enjoyed most with you, a proper challenge between brains and brawn. While your workout routine was intense, his mind was equally as polished, leaving the duels between the two of you relatively intense. On afternoons where you weren’t dueling, it was common to go into town, with Alhaitham usually picking up books or other things at stores while dragging you along with him. Even if he knew you were going to nap the whole time he was gone, he still didn’t trust you to not fight something or get lost while he was gone. So instead he took you to every store with him, keeping a tight watch over you and oftentimes tying a ribbon gently around your wrists that connected to his belt.

Yandere!Neuvillette has no choice but to keep you locked up inside while he’s gone simply because he knows otherwise you’ll get lost and he’ll be seeing you in the courtroom for yet another fight you got into. He doesn’t mind it though, knowing that at home you only do a few things, train, polish your swords, and nap. And while he admires your dream to be Teyvat’s Greatest Swordsman, he thinks you should settle for the strength you currently possess and simply stay here in Fontaine with him.

Unlocking the door and stepping in after a long day in court, Neuvillette isn’t surprised to see you napping in the livingroom. He will admit that the first few times he saw you napping, simply sitting on the floor up against a wall with all three swords nearby, he thought it was strange, insisting that you sleep in the bedroom or at least on the couch. Now though, he understands that it’s simply the way you are, quietly approaching and smirking as your eyes flicker open, looking up at the man. “Your senses are as sharp as ever I see.” Neuvillette offers you a hand, gently pulling you to your feet as you stretch, asking about his day. He enjoys the quiet life he has and he prefers to try and force you to comply than let you roam free, after all he’s doing this for the betterment of society. You’re simply too dangerous.

Parenting Headcanons - Mona, Yelan & Shenhe

CW: Male!Reader, angst in Yelan's part.

Mona Megistus

It was only a matter of time before Mona's curiosity got the better of her, making her look into the scry glass of your future.

She expected to see you die, break up, get sick or something. Good endings are rare, right?

Well, they are indeed, but she had one right before her eyes. She saw you two, sitting on a couch, the ringfinger of each occupied. Mona's stomach was, surprisingly, bigger than usual.

Her first thought was she got fat, which worried her a little. But when she looked closer, her belly was suspiciously round.

Then she understood. At first she got completely red in the face - how will she be able to look at you the same way ever again?

It was tough the first week, but after a time Mona managed to contain the sudden blushes and bursts of flusteredness. At the end of the day, the scrying eased her relationship anxiety, and opened her up more.

Obviously, it lead to marriage - just as the stars predicted.

When the relationship reached the right state, Mona made a promise to you to never look up the future of you, herself, and the child, or children. As hard as it was at first, she overcame the urge to see what's in store for her family after a time.

Mona never thought of being a mother, truth be told. Her mind was too busy on astrology to consider such things. Actually, she never really expected to have a partner anyway.

Mona gave it some thought since then, and she decided that the sex of her child doesn't matter. She would prefer to have a single heir, however. She's not very good at the whole 'taking care of kids' thing, you see.

She's quite awkward at first, but she'll get used to it at some point.

Since Mona doesn't need to leave the house for work, she'll have a lot of time to take care of the child. She also works at night (combined with the need to get up early it will make her extremely exhausted), letting her tuck her kid in, and maybe read a bedtime story.

She's quite good at those, as the stars carry many tales from every corner of the universe.

Her horrible habit of overspending was 'tamed' by you in the early stages of the relationship, but you still have to fight her at times.

"No, Mona. You can't buy that textbook. If you do, we will probably have to eat its leather cover at the end of the month."

Mona's signature is her pouts and theatrical frowns, and her little one will start to mimic those behaviors. And honestly? Seeing the two of them be overly dramatic is really cute!

Oh, right. She stopped overspending on herself, but the habit returned - in the form of soiling her kid. Her wallet can't get a rest, can it?

Mona has her issues, but overall she’s not a bad mother. 7/10.

Yelan

Yelan doesn't want kids.

It's not because she hates the idea, or she has something against small humans of her own.

Yelan actually wants to be a mom. The thought of spending quiet evenings with the love of her life and the cute little person, the fruit of your love, makes her sigh dreamily.

That makes the reality of why she doesn't want her dream to come true even more soul crushing.

Yelan knows that an agent never stops being one. No matter the time that passes since her last assignment, her work will constantly follow her wherever she goes. And the most important factor is that some people, very dangerous people, know who she is, where she lives and who she loves.

She's balancing on the edge even now, with you by her side. The uncertainty of whether they will come and hurt you one day or not makes her restless at times. Loving her is a risk, one that you took with full responsibility.

Even though you agreed, risking your life on a daily basis is not something Yelan enjoys. And risking the destruction of an entirely new, innocent human? It's too much.

Yelan has not given up on her dream, however. She has some plans and ideas that could work.

Adoption is out of the question, since the paperwork required for it is easily traceable back from her child to herself. Perhaps an enemy of hers will decide that the kid has some priceless information about her, and abduct them? The thought makes her skin crawl every time.

The second one is having a child herself and hiding them away with her family. That would have its own struggles, but those would be entirely about her behavior - something she could easily manage. She trusts you to act responsibly as well, no problem with that.

The issue comes with upbringing. No matter how hard everyone tries to hide it, the atmosphere of slight fear and stealth present will give the kid ideas. Yelan really, really doesn't want her child to live in secret, in the shadow of some unknown, but very real threat.

Her time is also running out. Yelan is painfully aware of the fact that with age pregnancy gets problematic. The child could be stillborn or miscarried, have health problems, she herself could get sick and die. The chances are not very high, yes, but they are still there.

Having kids is a hard decision, and one she has yet to make.

Rating Yelan is a hard thing. Of course, no kids means a 0/10. But if she would have them, her great sacrifices would only be recognised much later. In contrast she would rather not spend much time with her child, if any at all - making it a tough nut to crack when it comes to score on the scale.

Shenhe

As one might expect, Shenhe got 'the birds and the bees' talk from her adoptive mother, Cloud Retainer. The Adepti finished her explanation with one line that stuck in her head through all the years of training.

Surely, she said, surely one day you too will get to experience the wonders of motherhood. One would be very glad indeed.

Ever since that time, Shenhe began playing with her dolls more often (yes, Cloud Retainer gave her toys), imagining herself as a mom. Every time she would play out the scenario Shenhe forgot all about her predicament, the harsh training and the monsters she saw regularly in her dreams. She never imagined herself as a child in some fictional family. She liked it under Cloud Retainer, and she came to like her care after time. It's not like she remembered much anyway.

It lasted until she slipped into her rage, and started wearing the ropes. The new, dulled Shenhe was just that in her character and way of being. However, Shenhe still had her human side within, just carefully tucked under the tight ropes.

Ever since she met you, her mortal self was slowly being pulled into the light again. It was only a matter of time for her motherly instincts to come back. It was just a simple evening of cuddling when she realized you were the one. Not that she didn't think that when you started dating. Just the thought hit her hard at that moment.

When Shenhe wants something, she'll just voice her needs. So, out of the blue, she declared her desire for making kids. Right there, right now.

You had to hold her horses a little, and explain in depth how parenthood works. Cloud Retainer's ideas are very outdated and plainly strange at times, so you had to go through all the strange ideas she put into your girlfriend’s head. It will take some time, sure, but Shenhe will understand.

Preferences on the sex? Well… when you asked her, Shenhe replied that she would really like her offspring to be human. That’s all there is to say.

She is obviously quite new, lightly speaking, to the whole parenthood thing, so for safety, she would like to have just one kid. At least for now.

Of course the second being to get to know about the pregnancy is Cloud Retainer. The Adepti got some sort of verbal zoomies after hearing the news, spurting words of joy incomprehensibly, even stepping out of her speech patterns at times.

Everyone will know. Moon Carver will know, Mountain Shaper will know, Morax will know, Ganyu will know, Streetward Rambler will know, even Xiao will hear the news (whether he likes to or not).

Honestly, Cloud Retainer’s joy was quite overwhelming, and Morax politely explained the situation to the bird at your and Shenhe’s request. After that the Adepti toned down her behavior a fair bit, just keeping to daily visits and acts of service. Like building a crib, making toys, educating Shenhe about the entire caretaking process.

Childbirth will be no issue when she has the Adepti on standby, ready to help in a moment’s notice.

Shenhe generally has no plan when it comes to upbringing, except for one thing - to not make the child into an Adepti super-soldier like herself. Shenhe decided that the role of the parent is not to force a fate upon their child, but show them possibilities and support their choices instead.

Shenhe feels at peace when in the presence of her child and you. Up to the point that, during Cloud Retainer’s weekly check up, she discovered that, ever since having a child, Shenhe’s aura was completely clear of the disruptions suppressed by the red ropes. Very, very carefully, Cloud Retainer started removing the ropes over the course of a few months. Nothing happened, except Shenhe getting more assertive and much more human.

“No, master. A flying crib is not a good idea. Also… I doubt the herb diet would be a good choice either.”

Shenhe will not hesitate to die for her child just as she won’t when your life would be threatened. She can get possessive at times, but it’s all harmless.

She has a lot of friends, so the kid will get plenty of interaction. Ganyu will generally care for them, taking them on walks in the mountains or picnics when they get older. Yanfei will put an eye on the education (as an assistant to Zhongli himself) and behavior in public, though she won’t hesitate to cover up the child's misdeeds at times. And Cloud retainer, well… Everything at once, simply put.

Lucky you, actually. You two can just leave the little one with the bird for a whole day and get well deserved rest.

With friends and family galore to help her along the way, with you to offer a second opinion at any time, and with her dreams and determination, Shenhe is nothing short of a 10/10 mother.

Fights like this always get heated between you two but this one especially was harsh on both of you, Yelan felt like you didn't trust her she knew you were just worried about her wellbeing but it felt like she was repeating the same fight over and over again and again but she knew this was her fault too she barely told you anything no matter the circumstance. Things weren't better with you too... You didn't know if she trusts you she barely talks about herself what if one-day because she didn't tell you what she was up to and got seriously hurt... Because you couldn't help reach her in time because you didn't know where she was? Thoughts like these constantly go through your mind and tonight she basically almost confirmed them "sigh* let's talk about this tomorrow. I'm tired." Your significant other walking out of the room filled with shards to your bedroom is probably going to bed.

'I'll talk it with you tomorrow my darling, anything as long as it makes you feel better. " Her mind drifted off letting her guard down because she knew she would eventually tell everything to you in the morning, and that you would accept her even if she was a moron for letting you worry.

This is a 4NEMO x Female Reader headcanons because I'm too lazy to do all of the guys, though I will do a separate headcanon for Scara and Heizou.

You've been a good friend of Lumine's since college and the two of you moved in together after you graduated

You met her brother when she texted you that he needed a place to crash for the night

You knew she had a brother but you didn't know who he was until they arrived

She asked you to speak in private before you got a chance to question her for the next 10 minutes

Lumine asked you not to tell anyone about her brother for the sake of his privacy, she assured you that he wouldn't be staying for that one night

Once she left to get some of his extra clothes from her house there was an extremely awkward silence

You were a barista at a small Cafe in town

The cafe was usually quiet and never too crowded, it was a really peaceful environment

The owner of the Cafe was a woman named Yelan, though she was a bit intimidating at first she is actually quite nice

One day while you were working at the cashier on a weekend morning a customer wearing a hood and a mask walked up to the counter, the only thing that was visible was his piercing golden eyes

He had creeped you out a bit at first but you tried not to show it

He had asked for a small coffee and to see one of your coworkers, Ganyu

It wasn't uncommon for some of the male customers to fatter her, though she's never been comfortable in those situations. She handles herself better but she still needs help. Though this was the first time someone asked for her directly

Since you didn't know who this was you were a bit skeptical

She had left on break a short while ago and you told him that, he hummed and sat down

Though you were still skeptical of the guy, even after he finished his drink he stayed seated

Though before you could say something to him, Ganyu returned, you warned her about the stranger but once she saw him she assured you that there was nothing to worry about

She walked up to him and they spoke for a while and she even wrote a small note and gave it to him

When you asked her about it she said he was her brother, he's been busy and this was one of the few times they could meet

You didn't question her further but before you could walk away she said something to you that stuck with you for a while

"My brother seemed to like you quite a bit, it's rare to see him slightly infatuated with...well anyone. That little note I gave him, it may or may not have had your name and number on it."

You worked at a wine shop that had a small bar next door which was owned by the same person, which was actually quiet most of the time due to the fact that it was new and small

You were working from opening until early noon, during this time not many people would come in so it was a bit surprising when someone that looked like a teen walked in almost as soon as the shop opened.

He had a black mask over his face but the rest of his outfit seemed normal.

He grabbed a bottle and was gonna purchase it but claimed he forgot his id, and due to this he wasn't allowed to take it

Que the failed flattery and him leaving to get a friend to vouch for him

He came back with a teal-haired man with gold eyes, he did have an id, though he seemed reluctant about buying the wine

He kept muttering about someone named Yenfei

Your sister was a fan of a few bands and had mentioned that name before, she was a manager for a boy band, and it was then you started to put the pieces together

Though you decided not to say anything and waved to them as they left, the boy with the braids basically ran out leaving the other man to sigh and walk after him

When you got home you told your sister about what happened and she looked like she was gonna lose it

After about 5 minutes of nothing but questions, you turned in for the night.

How To Fight - Male!Reader x Ningguang & Yelan

Ningguang

"Yes. I am ready."

You eye Ningguang curiously. She has a confident smirk on her lips, her arms crossed over her chest. She's missing her usual dress, wearing light armor instead. You shoot her an amused look.

"Someone's feeling daring today." You shrug. "Alright then."

You walk up to the weapon stand, grabbing two dull training swords. You spin around, throwing her one of them. She barely catches it, but quickly places it in her hands. You stretch your neck and approach her as Ningguang assumes the default stance you taught her.

"I'll show you just how much I learned." She says, brandishing her weapon. "Three hits. Come at me."

"Hah! And make things easy for you, dear? You started this, so you come at me." You spin your sword in your hands, and ready it.

Ningguang skips up to you and swings sideways. You hold your weapon firmly, taking the blow wholly on the handguard. You push against her sword and retaliate with an upwards slash, but she dodges. A hard downwards slash tries to break your guard, but your parry and stab forward. Using both hands Ningguang manages to force the sword away, but you reposition and strike her with your shoulder. She staggers backwards and you finish with a trained top down hit to her shoulder.

You withdraw. “Clumsy and slow. Again.”

She exhales heavily, steadying herself and returning to position. “Ready.”

This time you open with a barrage of quick cuts, all of them blocked with little effort. You tease her with a stronger hit, catching her retaliation on your hand guard. You step back, just in time to block another downwards attack, followed by a quick stab. You managed to deflect it and riposte, using your strength to break her weakened guard. She blocks the would-be killing blow just in time, forcing you to jump back.

“Great.” You praise, but before she can react, you charge again. An upwards slash to the left, followed by a vertical combo is ineffective, but your stance nullifies her counter. Having used her acceleration to attack, Ningguang’s frame lowers, rendering her unable to stop a slash straight down on her back. She yelps, and you retreat, giving her space.

“Ow. That’s going to hurt tomorrow.” She groans, but retakes her stance once again, a frown of focus on her lips.

“Focus. Last chance.”

She moves in without warning, forcing you into stance. Amongst her quick side-to-side attacks stabs are mixed in, forcing you to respond quickly. You find a moment to wind up a stronger riposte, resulting in her weapon being deflected upwards, giving you enough space to close the distance. You try to follow up with a low blow, but she manages to stop you. Before you can react, Ningguang elbows you across the face with her left arm, breaking your lip and sending you stumbling backwards. You send a sloppy, heavy blow at her, knowing she’ll dodge and step back. Now a few feet meters apart, you both resume the default positions. You wipe the blood from your face with your sleeve.

She moves forward, delivering a variety of high strikes mixed in with various pushes. You keep your distance, making her attack faster and with less accuracy. You once again use your strength advantage and strike right at her weapon’s chappe. Ningguang, exhausted, agitated and unfocused, fails to recover, giving you enough space to slash at her chest. Feeling frisky, you twirl around and, before she can turn around, place a firm slap on her butt. She yelps in surprise.

“W-what was that for?!” You jog back to her, snickering under your breath. Ningguang’s face is red, partly from exhaustion and partly from embarrassment.

You send her a teasing smile. “Let’s see. For… arrogance, for slacking off in training, and for being so hot.”

Ningguang takes off her helmet, and lets out an exhausted sigh, the expression of embarrassment changing into a smirk. “Understood."

You approach her. Suddenly, but gently, you grab her chin, and place a brief kiss on her forehead, earning a soft smile from her.

"You'll get it eventually. Patience, Ningguang, patience."

Yelan

Warm sunlight pours through the windows of the gym, reflecting off of the bright, lacquered wood. The day outside is peaceful, but the situation within the hall is anything but.

Sounds of moans and grunts of extortion echo, as do the sounds of hits and the swishing of blades. Sweat pours from your bodies, but neither you nor Yelan lose focus. Your minds are occupied on the deadly exchange of slashes and pushes, always seeking for an opening in each other's guard. One stabs, the other stops the stab, and retaliates, only to have their attack blocked and returned. Locked in a seemingly endless, intense cycle of combat. Action and reaction. Only that exists in your minds.

Your eyes are cold on Yelan's. Your movements are calculated, backed up with years of grueling training and countless combat scenarios. Every muscle tenses and relaxes on effortless demand, perfectly aligned with your mind, coming across as instinctual. Yelan, in the meantime, grits her teeth. Her body aches, longs for, pleads, demands rest, even if just for a moment. Though she had been dueling you for just over six minutes, her adrenaline-filled brain processes time faster. It feels like she's been fighting forever, exchanging blows, pushes, slashes and stabs with you.

Some part of her regrets ever asking you to teach her close quarters combat these two weeks ago. The other reprimands her for backing out, in your voice. She knows she has to. For her own safety. She won't always have a better weapon on her, nor will she have backup. The majority of spontaneous encounters end within the first 10 minutes, you said. She knows she has to last.

Her body screams for mercy. It bleeds from the numerous small cuts, mainly on her bruised and battered forearms. Just as you suggested, she had been using them as a guard and a shoving tool, and they work. She just never expected it to hurt like the Abyss. Just barely managing it, Yelan inflicted several wounds on your body too. The ones you inflicted are shallow, but deep enough to draw dark, crimson blood, while hers are deeper, sloppier. Her eyes constantly steal brief glances of the nasty gash on your cheek. Despite your hand being almost covered in blood from the slash on your thumb, you don't frown, let alone flinch. Your hands somehow remain steady, while hers have been trembling for some time now.

Yelan's body is drenched in sweat, both from the intensive activity, and something never before felt by her during these sessions.

Stress.

It's her first exam. It will decide whether she will continue on to learn more advanced combat, or spend the next week revising and training, both under your watchful eye. But that's not what worries her, and neither is the fact that it's just the second time you fight with real, sharp blades. It's you, not as her instructor, but as her lover. The sight of your blood bothers her, especially that it was she who inflicted the wounds it comes from. She understands, she really does, that training has to be rigorous, as real combat will be unforgiving. Yet at the same time she doesn't want to hurt you. She knows that neither do you, but you're skilled enough to keep the damage minimal, while she isn't. And then there's the chill in your eyes. No warmth, none of the familiar feeling of security and comfort - just merciless instruction. Yelan knows that it's only temporary, that you'll return to normal after the session ends, but that on top of the former is becoming too much for her.

She feels like it's real. That she really needs to harm and kill you, else you would do the same. Her eyes feel the prickle of tears in the corners, of both exhaustion and discomfort. She waits for a good opportunity, blocks your attack, and hops back swiftly. You instinctually move to engage her again, but she raises her open hands slightly.

"Stop, stop. I concede. I concede. Please, no more."

You stay in stance for a moment, but soon relax and stand down. After sheathing the knife, you wipe your bloody hands with your shirt.

"Alright."

Without another word, you move to the bench. Yelan watches on as you grab a water bottle and press it against your lips, proceeding to down almost all of it in one go. She sighs and closes her eyes.

"Heh, just don't fall asleep over there." You smile and turn to face her, but stop when you see her. "Yelan, is everything okay?"

"Yes, yes, I just… Ugh. I'm tired." She tries an evasive answer as she joins you on the bench, her own hydration in her hand.

"Don't lie to me. I know something’s bothering you.”

She covers her face with her hands, and sighs. “I don’t want to do this.”

You hum in response. “Wasn’t it you who suggested these lessons?”

“I did, but I didn’t expect you to make me do this.”

You scoff, your thoughts still deep in training mode. “Getting injured is just a part of the training. Besides, Yelan, you aren’t seriously hurt. Are you?”

She rubs her eyes, wiping small tears forming in the corners of her eyes. Her voice comes out nearly as a growl. “I don’t want to hurt you, is this so hard to understand? And you’re so cold, and so… foreign today. I just… You…” Her voice drops to a near whisper. “You’re scaring me.”

You stay silent, taken aback by this statement. She glances up at you and continues.

“It’s just that you’re so emotionless, and different from the man I know. I l-love you, and you’re making me treat and hurt you like an enemy? You even act as one. I feel like you’re… a stranger with my husband’s face.”

Taking a deep breath, you try to ease her worries, but she cuts you off before you can speak.

“I don’t care, do you understand? I don’t care that I need training, o-or that real enemies won’t go easy on me! You’re not one of them! I don’t want to treat you as one, please! We can train, really, but I don’t want to do this. Anything but this, please.” A few stray tears slip through her fingers. Her tone is now more hushed, sounding broken. “Please…”

You scoot over closer to her, and place your right hand on her elbow. “Yelan. Please, look at me.”

She looks up, her blue eyes almost pleading. “Y/N…”

You pull her into a hug. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I went too far. I should have asked first, been more gentle and empathetic. I… Have no excuse.”

Her slender arms snake around you, securing comfortably around your chest. She lets out a very quiet, muffled sob. “I don’t want to do this ever again, p-please. I don’t want to hurt you, Y/N.”

You gently stroke her hair, getting a little blood on the dark blue strands from the injury she inflicted. “You won’t have to. I’m sorry, my love. I’m so sorry.”

Eventually, in your arms, Yelan is able to steady her emotions. She parts with you, a sad look still present on her face. She moves her hand to your bloody cheek, fingers carefully avoiding touching the injury. She smiles at you.

“Come on. Let’s go home.”

Your distorted voice was heard through the chasm while the 5 we're looking for an exit after seeing bosacious.

"Xiao who is that? They said your name." Yanfei questioned but Xiao had an uncharacteristic look of shock before turning to them.

"He was the dendro yaksha. He never liked attention so he also hid when humans were they were near. During the destruction of khanreha he lost his mind and went into hiding."

Xiao talked about you in the same way he talked about bosacious. He loved the memories he shared with you but all good things come to an end.

"I know who he is, the phantom yaksha. He helped from the shadows and saved any human he could." Yelan said causing Xiao to nod.

"That's so sad. I wonder where he went." Paimon looked to aether who was looking at Xiao.

There was a moment of silence before the sky darkened as a scream erupted from behind Xiao.

Turning around Xiao saw you on the ground with your (choice of weapon) on the ground next to you while you were squeezing your neck in pain.

"Y/n." Your head shot up at the sound with a look of fear.

"Xiao?"

Said yaksha tried to get closer but you backed away.

"NO." You shouted and haistily stood up into a fighting stance "your not supposed to be here. None of you are."

Xiao teleports behind you and take your weapon. Vines shot up wrapping around his neck, arms and legs restraining him.

"I can't control it anymore. I DON'T WANT TO HURT ANYONE ELSE." You ran behind the portal before anyone could stop you.

When out of sight the vines disappeared.

Yelan was hot on your tail but when going behind the portal was your body entangled into the ground on your back.

The sight barely shocked her as she called the others over.

"Is he DEAD." Paimon screamed taking refuge behind aether/lumine.

"Yes" Xiao said simply. Taking your body of the roots he held you tight.

"What is he to you? You seem close to him." Yelan was very observant with the few time they saw the phantom yaksha and Xiao.

It took a minute before he answered. "He is equivalent to what humans call a significant other."

No other words were shared as he put you on his back to take you to the surface.

*tiny time skip*

Once at the surface he took the traveler to pervacies resting place.

"I want to bury him here. I also wanted to take a rock in memory of bosacious but the rock did not make it."

The memories came flooding back.

You and him we on a mountain not far from the other yaksha.

"Xiao why do you have to so cynical all the time." You chucked. Placing a hand to his cheek. "I'm not. I'm simply saying I would die for you."

You had a deep blush on your face, placing you hands on your hips and turning away.

"That's what I mean. You don't have to protect me cause I'll be the one to protect you." It was his turn to blush. You laughed and hugged him.

"Xiao if something every happens to me.... Just know that I love you." He pulled away from the hug and kissed you.

"I love you too Y/n."

He missed you along with the other yaksha and it hurt him that he was the only was still alive.

After burying you a beautiful tree sprouted from the ground. It's leaves had different colors and elements in them.

When people touched them they heard voices of laughter or small visions of their lost loved ones, but for Xiao they held the memories of the fallen yakshas.

Even in death you wanted to show people happyness.
