“I’m sorry. For English.” rolls through my head every time I’m reminded of what a freaking nonsense language it is in context of someone else learning or trying to comprehend it.
(Also, this is a really cute, fun comic in general, highly recommended!)

It's just WILD to me that bioware would pull this shit right after bg3 comes out to outstanding reviews for it's writing and characters!! Like I haven't played bg3 yet but it's clear to everyone with eyes that it's setting a new standard for RPGs despite how other studios are scrambling to claim it's a one off and impossible to replicate the same standard. And then bioware, in the wake of this, where half it's fans are seeing how amazing bg3 is and maybe losing interesting in da because of it are like...oh hey why don't we fire the writer who wrote some of our best received characters and a bunch more of the team to the point where it feels they don't care about the games anymore (depsite their stupid claim that this will help with releasing DA4). like. How is this not going to make people just lose complete faith and look somewhere else - especially when that something else is RIGHT THERE because it JUST CAME OUT

There are a lot of really nuanced pros and cons to the phenomenon of creators being more accessible to fans via social media nowadays, but one of the strangest things I've observed is like. People asking permission to have headcanons? Like yes, obviously, it's interesting to learn more about the creators' original intentions, but "Neil Gaiman, is it ok if in interpret Aziraphale as having carpal tunnel? 🥺" babes, that's between you and your 10 most unhinged Discord friends. Here, look, watch: I think Guillermo de la Cruz listens to My Chemical Romance. I think Zagreus has ADHD. I think Harrowhark Nonagesimus is a Scorpio. See? No snipers. It's easy, it's legal, and it's free

wada sez: A cute little follow-up to Spotlight: Ramjet, which was one of very few from the early run not written by Simon Furman, instead being written by New Avengers/Transformers scribe Stuart Moore. In that story, the megalomaniacal Ramjet had created for himself some henchmen in the form of the “Mini-Constructicons”—who talked using, shall we say, distinctive Earth slang. Naturally, Furman never brought the Mini-Constructicons back for his stories, meaning it wasn’t until John Barber’s tentpole arc returned to Earth that anybody did anything with them! This strip posits that Thundercracker adopted one—a dynamic honestly not dissimilar to his relationship with Buster under Barber’s pen—and that Skywarp meanwhile had a pet Kremzeek.

Being a woc fan of Bridgerton can be a struggle, especially when it comes to liking the poc characters on the show, especially the woc. Like I remember when s1 came out and the blatant microaggressions and just plain racism coming from this fandom was atrocious. You had people spewing very hateful things about Charlotte, Marina, and Simon and undermining the latter two's pain and trauma at the hands of the white characters---Marina was treated terribly by the Featheringtons and, whether you like Penelope or not, you cannot deny that she also played a part by releasing that letter to the Ton and Simon was violated Daphne no matter how people try to spin the story to offer her some form of sympathy (it still blows my mind that people would want to though).
S2 is just as bad (not even including how they changed the Sharma family's storyline than how it was in the books when that wasn't necessary) and the racist undertones many of the fans have towards Mary and Edwina (as well as Kate but for her it's carries more brown woman needing to be saved by a white man when Anthony is involved because a lot of you all in the fandom are quick to use this trope such as "oh, he's the only one who truly knows her"). The lack of screen time for this family really ends up hurting them to but even with that, whether you like Mary and Edwina or not, it would be a lie to deny the racism a lot in the fandom hold towards them (and how that falls onto the actresses because it was very apparent how many in the fandom couldn't let two Desi women shine without having to bring down the other and Netflix played into that too for drama) and paints every small thing they do as being terrible crimes but in the same breath will not have the same smoke for the Bridgertons, who have their own set of problems (but because they are also the main family, among other things, they are provided more grace without consequences).
