this is me hitting y'all with a "hear me out" on bikeriders!gale and college student leaving!john. pleasepleaseplease think of the cliche daddy issues. the slow burn angst. strong intimidating but softie biker bf pulling up to pretty college bf's house. gale passing his helmet to john while john's parents watch from the kitchen window in horror as their son gets on the back of a rugged tatted man's motorcycle. john stealing gale's hoodie when he stays over so he can 'accidentally' wear it home the next day and bury his face in the smell of gale's cigarettes and cologne and gasoline and open road.

or, alternatively, bikeriders!gale is leaving!john's friend's single dad lmaoo. classic dilf crush trope. john makes a new friend at college and the first time he goes to his house he meets his dad and is like fuck. well, that's it for me. he crushes hard from day one and has no idea gale feels the same way because he's dense and gale's not gonna make the first move obviously. and god, the miscommunication and the secret flirting and the hookups and dancing around feelings because neither is sure if it's more than sex for the other. i could fill three books with this shit genuinely <3

idk i just think the contrast of both of them would be such a fun dynamic to explore and they'd look fucking beautiful together :-)

one thing that’s been on my mind a lot recently is the fact that ianthe is reusing the old third house lyctor’s rooms… like did she just choose to do that because the old rooms were shiny and full of sexy portraits, etc., or was the mithraeum just a one-set-of-living-quarters-per-house-no-guest-bedrooms-sorry situation? if the latter, literally what was john going to do if the house heirs all ascended at canaan house like he wanted them to? the main reason this has been on my mind a lot recently is that i’ve been unable to shake a series of cursed thoughts about a universe in which things go according to god’s plan and silas and mercy are forced to become the world’s most dysfunctional pair of roommates, thus in turn forcing all the other newly-ascended house heirs to live with the fallout of this godawful situation constantly spilling all over the mithraeum common areas, which—even setting ASIDE the whole ‘experiencing paralyzing guilt and grief over their dead cavaliers’ thing that they’d also be dealing with!—is possibly an even worse outcome for them than the one from the canon timeline where they all just fucking died violently lmao

#imagining silas and mercy interacting is literally making me lose my mind. they would fucking HATE each other #of course this universe would also entail augustine-abigail and g1deon-judith having to share too but i feel like those pairings would #go over slightly better. abigail and augustine are of the fifth they’d be passive aggressive to each other but they’d act civil in public #and g1deon would probably just ignore judith tbh because as annoying as she can be she doesn’t know about the one (1) topic that actually #gets under his skin so i don’t think she’d get anywhere trying to get a rise out of him #but SILAS AND MERCY on the other hand #they would both constantly be on their knees before john begging him to consign the other to hell #the locked tomb #silas octakiseron #mercymorn the first #honestly i think what would happen is that augustine and palamedes would make it through about 3 weeks of constant shrieking/sobbing/ #performative praying/attempts on the part of silas to exorcise mercymorn or mercymorn to murder silas before augustine would SNAP and pull #a dios apate minor singlehandedly to keep john busy while palamedes went and murdered silas for real
