"The dead can't hurt you" with Ash? That might be interesting.

The thumping of his heart is the only thing Sam hears. Despite the chaos going around him, he feels paralysed, trapped in his own body. There’s screaming and shouting, but despite everything, Sam only hears it like it’s muffled through water, like he’s detached from his body. His eyes are trapped on the sight of a panicked Phil, held in place with a gun to his head.

The man Sam didn’t recognise, or maybe he did, he no longer remembers, is holding Phil with one arm, and making sure they don’t get close with the other. The words of ‘demons’ and ‘unnatural abominations’ spit from his mouth, but Sam can barely hear them beyond it all. Every time the rest try to make a move, the gun is pressed harder against Phil. He can distantly hear Celia snarling, barely holding herself back, only doing so out of concern for their brother. What were they supposed to do?

The answer came from off to the side. A gun shot echoes and for a moment Sam feels his heart stop. But when the blood starts dripping, it comes from the head of the man, not Phil. Phil shakes the dead man’s hold and runs for the safety of the other siblings, who are joyous, but Sam’s gaze is only for the one who took the shot. Ash, standing down the corridor, unseen in the chaos, holding a gun. And Sam feels his heart sink.

He had never wanted Ash to get involved in this.

“Now, now, Ossidiel – surely ya knew I was comin’ for a visit eventually, huh?” Sharp teeth glistened in the low light as a menacing grin stretched the Avatar of Greed’s lips, golden eyes focused on the demon seated before him. “So what are ya ignorin’ me for?” 

The named demon warily observed Mammon over the rim of his glass, drink trickling down his throat as he chose his next words carefully.  “I’m not ignoring you at all.” Placing his glass down, he gives the Greater Demon a polite yet nervous smile. “I just didn’t hear you at first over the loud music. Please, have a seat.” 

“That’s more like it.” With a hum, Mammon slid into the plush booth across from his target. “I was actually lookin’ to play a game with someone, and when I realized you were here, I couldn’t pass up the chance! After all, you should be a damn natural. Join me for a game, will ya?” 

“What’s the game?” Cautious, the lesser demon shifted in his seat.   

“An easy one! I’ve got these guys here – “ Mammon pulled out three small golden domes, intricately decorated with engravings of skulls and crows. “And this little gem here. You know the shell game, right? It’s just that! We’ll make some bets, and if you correctly guess where the gem is each time, you win. If not, I do.”

“What’s the catch?” Ossidiel asked dryly, eying the items with suspicion. “You know my special power is revealing and concealing precious items like that gem, and this is you we’re talking about.” 

“Ouch, man!” Feigning hurt, Mammon frowned. “But alright, alright – these little domes have some magic, see? Makes it so that others can’t use magic to figure out which one’s hidin’ the thing. I wanted to test it out, and you’re the perfect guy for it. So whaddya say, Ossy – up for a little challenge?” 

“...Fine.” Somewhat reluctantly, Ossidiel agreed – but Mammon could tell that his curiosity was piqued, however foolishly. “Let’s start.” 

Bets were made, the domes were shuffled, and the greedy demon watched eagerly as his victim made his decision. Ossidiel’s brows were furrowed, the magic of the domes clearly interfering with his own. Finally, he spoke. 

“The one on the left.” 

“Ya sure?” Mammon’s grin stayed in place. 

“...Yes.” 

As the dome was lifted, Ossidiel let out a rather sharp cry – and the gem was nowhere to be seen. 

“Oh, c’mon, surely you can’t be that upset, huh?” Mammon clicked his tongue. “Maybe you’ll get it next time.” 

“N-no, I just … felt a rather sharp pain in my side just now.” The lesser demon murmured, clenching his jaw for a moment as he held his side. “But yes, let’s go again.” 

The domes were shuffled once more. 

“The middle one.” 

Mammon lifted the designated dome – only to hear another pained howl from the player. 

“I .. I think those items are cursed.” Ossidiel shook his head, nearly doubled over in immense pain as he felt his insides being torn apart. “This can’t be a coincidence – “ 

“Hmm,” Mammon hummed, smile still in place. “Well, why don’t we try one more time? Y’know, just to make sure and all.” 

As blood began to drip from Ossidiel’s lips, realization dawned upon him – no, this wasn’t coincidence. 

This was punishment. 

“M-Mammon,” the name left him in a choke as blood continued to fill his mouth. “N-no, I mean … Lord … Mammon … please, I-I’m sorry … for what I did, I wasn’t … thinking.” 

“Aww, what are ya apologizing for?” Leaning over the table, the Avatar fixed the other with a mirthful gaze, rolling one of the domes between bejeweled fingers. “C’mon, this? It’s not vengeance – it’s just a game! But, y’know…” 

Standing up to get even closer, Mammon grabbed a hold of the lesser demon’s jaw, lifting him slightly from his seat. He brought his sharp fangs to the other’s ear, his voice a low growl as his claws began to pierce flesh.

“It’s a bit late for all that groveling, don’t ya think?”

Modding Stuff

Currently trying to get into pose modding because I'm loving what @humberg is doing and we're kind of egging each other on with stuff to make XD I'm loving it!!

This is pretty much all I have as of right now, I wanna get started with some hand holding poses (humberg is doing all the cuddling in the meantime :D). There's gonna be so much fluff, be ready for it!!

Still trying to find my way back into Blender, but I love imagining all the scenarios and scenes and asödhfasödfhsdf really looking forward to this XD In the meantime, all my other neglected modding ideas are crying. I need more hours in my day!

Writing Stuff

Continuing "Love is Stored in the Olive Jar" a little bit more slowly, but steadily! Chapter 7 is in the works and the boys are gonna be in trouble 👀

one of the things that's insane to me about terraria is it's lack of online prescence. it's the 10th best selling video game of all time. there's like 3 people who make videos about it. it's been around for 13 years. there's not even 400 fics tagged as terraria on ao3. 45 million people have played it. there are maybe 4 pieces of fanart somwhere if you really dig for them. and the crazy part is I totally agree. I have never wanted to create about terraria. I have rarely if ever wanted to consume content about terraria. this is a game I have a disgusting amount of hours in and I would give a very high rating of and I have never once gone feral over it like I have with other things I consume. terraria is this ball of awesomeness of a game mixed with this complete fucking undecipherable void of a prescence and i think it's insane

#if we're actually thinking about why though #1) the complete lack of story/worldbuilding/setting/ heavily discourages any attempt of a narrative #it would be like trying to write a captivating story about minecraft steve in minecraft block world #'but minecraft has so many stories thought up in it! like [insert minecraft smp]' #2) yes but consider that minecraft's relatively short - and frankly unfulfilling - progression #means that after you beat minecraft the only thing left to do is to create - either with yourself or other people #which incidentally is also why minecraft servers are such a big thing - becuase of that natural steer into playing with other ppl #however (as anyone who's tried to beat it knows) terraria has a LOT of progression - and it's all built to be extremly satisfying progress #which means when you beat terraria. you can beat it again! in any one of 2098456 ways you choose all of which give you a unique playthrough #incidentally this is also why in my experience servers are so much less of a thing in terraria #while the modding scene is sososo much bigger and relevant - tapping into that 'replay the thing but DIFFERENT' again type of replayability #I'm comparing terraria and minecraft btw because both are sandbox games but they have wildly different prescences #and often times people will write minecraft having more content down as 2d/terraria being more limiting creatively #but actually some of the prettiest builds in a videogame I've seen were in 2d/terraria #I think there's a more fundamental difference at play there #in the type of replayability that mc and terraria offer #one kind of forces you to create or play with others if you want more out of it #while the other offers this kind of seemingly endless well of challenges that never steers you in that co-op/creative direction #both are great in their own right #but it means that minecraft has more content 'staying power' as it is a space designed first and foremost to steer players into creating #and also most importantly - cooperating and playing with others to creat together #while terraria more often focuses on that core gameplay experience/challenge #while never steering/forcing players into that creating/co-opting space #unless they intentionally seek out that experience for themselves #see - the terraria builder community (not massive last time I checked) and server players (I don't think they exist) #also 3) eye of cthullu is stupid hard to draw in 3d without doubling over laughing #like 👁️ <- oh man look who's floating ominously!! he sure is gonna getchu!! #^ I ramble about things #also i still think terraria is better than minecraft. for the record

wait wait wait whaaatt ok ok so I’ve been on a nostalgia kick recently and have been looking back into old fandoms I was apart of, like minecraft diaries. and I was going through the wiki to try and refresh’s myself on the lore because I don’t feel bothered to watch all the old videos😭 but but I realized I recognized some of the titles of the divine warriors! They’re also title of gods from ffxiv (the fury, the destroyer, the matron, the keeper, the wanderer)

The Matron The Destroyer The Wanderer The Fury The Keeper are the titles of 5 (of the 12) deities from ff14

both matrons symbols are the same too :D!

and! One of the other deities by the name of menphina, within eorzean mythology resides within a heaven/hell of ice with another deity by the title of the fury!

so we got another link with a divine warrior (menphia the fury)

Idk if the mcd wiki is accurate/up to date or not! Yea she’s played ff14 haha! She’s posted her and her husband(pretty sure it’s him sure cus of the last name lycan) characters to twitter a few years back.. y’know I’m surprised it took me this long to make the connections because I’ve been watching my brothers play ff games for as far back as my earliest memories and even got some of their hand me down games NOT TO MENTION that their was a significant overlap in the time I lived and BREATHED mcd and would watch my brother play ff14 around the same time too?? To be fair though my brothers were going through the broody teen phase at that point too so they only really tolerated me watching them craft and gather or wander around for a bout an hour max before going to play cod or basketball with their friends😅

But back to main point I was trying to make is that it’s really neat how the series that started me creative journey is inspired by the franchise that has and is currently still fueling that drive^^!!

finally got .pak files to work in bg3 and all it took was several hours of thinking i had to completely reinstall the game and joining a discord server. what do you mean stop trying to mod it because this game has been out for ~36 hours this game has been out for 3 years (to me)

Can someone who's used Stardrop explain to me how to move my mods into it? I really don't want to fuck up my 100+ hour modded save but I'd love a way to have all my mods in one place where they can be updated and managed.

Also another related question: this is my first stardew update since I've started playing and I would like to know if mods from a few years back that haven't been updated recently will survive the update or if I should give up on them entirely unless the mod author updates them?

Also also: where should I go to learn how to make my own mods? I've been considering using a service like Brilliant (why yes I do watch zefrank, how did you know) to learn code but I'm not sure if that would help me. I'd love to make a mod mostly just for me that adds a little storyline to immerse my oc more into the farmer role, but I'd need to do things like add dialogue to NPCs, have letters sent to the player, add items, add buffs/debuffs, and add a way for the player character to like... shapeshift into A Creature. And make sure it doesn't conflict with other mods too, especially the big ones like DSV, SVE, etc. I have no idea where I'd even start with that lmao

Jack strode down the hallway, mind already filtering out the blaring alarms as white noise. He’d heard them so often, he barely registered them beyond their purpose anymore. Even within an alternate reality.

But they did have a purpose; the site was under attack. Not exactly the greatest concern to him, considering his situation and everything, but he still knew his protocol and followed it. It was as he was making his way out that he caught sight of the situation.

A quick look told him basically everything he needed to know; one person in insurgent uniform, another with the foundation logo on them, and a gun held by the former as words Jack couldn’t hear were exchanged. And that was all the information he needed to make a decision.

His own gun had been in his hands since the alarms first started, but it was lessons learned long ago in an old wheat field with empty cans lined up on a fence that brought it up and swiftly lined up the sights. The others barely had time to notice him before his shot rang out and struck true.

It was only after the lifeless body hit the floor that he had a moment to fully take in the scene, and finally realise who the other party was. His face immediately soured, a storm of feelings churning in his stomach as he finally registered the presence of one o5-12, otherwise known as Adam. Of all the people to see…

He turned away with a sneer. Of course things just had to go and be more complicated. Not that he regretted taking the shot, but…the mental image of this Adam and his own crossed over and blended in his mind, making him shake his head in disgust. He stepped over the fallen insurgent and continued on his way, not stopping to listen if the overseer had anything to say.

He’d just been following protocol.

twenty one pilots first 2 albums (self titled and vessel) were genuinely beautiful works of art and it was honestly really fucking weird that everyone decided they were Problematique because they "made music to profit off mentally ill people" as if they couldn't just be mentally ill people making art for themselves and the people like them. also there's no way you can listen to oh miss believer and not be moved

I would have totally missed it again, @theviridianbunny thank you so much for the tag :D Love your new PC setup, two monitors will make modding so much easier for sure!! Love what you've been working on!

I myself am deep down the modding rabbithole again xD Working with Archive XL for the first time cause I really badly want to be able to add items from scratch instead of replacing. I think I'll stop for today, look into custom icons tomorrow, but as of now, my Pride Boots mod is pretty much functional for male V and comes in so many colors :D

These are certainly the most over the top ones xD Full rainbow! But idk, maybe someone out there will love these for their Pride party outfit :D As of now I have 14 colors planned buuut I'm not sure actually if there's a limit on appearances, so we shall see as I progress! I would really like to get a fem V version working (ideally I'd like both in one file buuuut... my earlier attempts were fruitless and I couldn't find a detailed tutorial on the matter yet).

Apart from that, I'm also working on new VP stuff 👀 The theme is "Road Trip" :3

This might end up being another series of photosets telling a little story and OH MAN there are some in there that asdfashfdfdff go right in the feels ;_;

Aaand the next chapter for my post-ending fic is in progress 👀 basically done at this point, but I'd like to do one final round of revision/ editing before I post it!

It's gonna be a slightly more fluff-heavy chapter again, but the angst is slowly creeping back in too 👀👀👀
